5/4(+23%) | (1) Dollar Value 5/4, Latest win in hurdle at Sligo in August. Good second of 8 in minor event hurdle at Downpatrick (17.8f, good, 85/40) 17 days ago. Temperamental sort. Beat Boom Boom Boom by 16 lengths in a Sligo claiming hurdle last month; the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (14) (14/1 +30%) Brianna Lily |
14/1(+30%) | (14) Brianna Lily 14/1, Fair hurdler. 18/1, respectable seventh of 14 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (20.4f, good to soft) 34 days ago, left poorly placed. In the picture. Won a 3m handicap hurdle at Clonmel last September but has failed to match that since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (16/1 -167%) Teagarden Jazz |
16/1(-167%) | (2) Teagarden Jazz 16/1, Fair hurdler. 25/1, respectable fifth of 14 in handicap at Tipperary (12.5f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles and not ruled out. 17-race maiden needs to find a bit extra under these race conditions. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (15) (25/1 +50%) Gino Drummer Boy |
25/1(+50%) | (15) Gino Drummer Boy 25/1, Modest hurdler. 11/1, below form sixth of 15 in novice hurdle at Tramore (16.4f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Back up in trip. Remains a maiden after 16 NH runs. Behind Dollar Value twice; well beaten in a Tramore maiden hurdle last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (80/1 -100%) Grand Cru Chatho |
80/1(-100%) | (8) Grand Cru Chatho 80/1, Modest hurdler. Below form eighth of 13 in handicap hurdle (16/1) at Sligo (17.4f, soft) 7 days ago. 15-race maiden and has not really fulfilled early promise; very hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (50/1 +0%) Ballerina Boxer |
50/1(+0%) | (5) Ballerina Boxer 50/1, Poor hurdler. 14/1, good sixth of 16 in handicap hurdle at Tramore (20.4f, good) 13 days ago. No easy ask at these weights though. Improved efforts last twice in handicap hurdles at Wexford and Tramore; much more needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (13) (8/1 -191%) Boom Boom Boom |
8/1(-191%) | (13) Boom Boom Boom 8/1, Fairly useful hurdler. Winner in hurdle at Ballinrobe in July. Respectable second of 7 to Dollar Value in claiming hurdle at Sligo (17.8f, soft, 5/1) 20 days ago. The form pick at these weights. 14lb better off with Dollar Value but no guarantee that will be enough to turn the tables. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (25/1 -25%) Un Des Flos |
25/1(-25%) | (7) Un Des Flos 25/1, 80/1 and hood on for 1st time in this code, thirteenth of 14 in maiden at Leopardstown (15f, good to firm) on flat debut 69 days ago, missing break. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Very little racing in the last two years and others preferred. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DOLLAR VALUE put up a remarkable performance after losing a lot of ground at the start in a similar event at Sligo earlier this month. The Tom McCourt-trained gelding likes to force the pace but didn't get to the front until two out before forging clear to beat Boom Boom Boom by all of 16 lengths. The selection probably ran to a similar level when runner-up to favourite Mordor three days later at Downpatrick. Boom Boom Boom previously won at Ballinrobe and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred to I Am Spider Man, while others to consider include Routine Excellence and Wild Shot.
Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and BOOM BOOM BOOM, favoured by these weights, gets the nod at the chief expense of Brianna Lily who wasn't seen to best effect when seventh at Wexford last time. Downpatrick runner-up Dollar Value can also have a say.
In fine form in claiming hurdles over the summer, DOLLAR VALUE can score again after a good run in a Downpatrick rated hurdle last time

1st (1) (15/2 -150%) Millforce |
15/2(-150%) | (1) Millforce 15/2, €30,000 3-y-o, Workforce gelding. Half-brother to 2 winners, including fairly useful hurdle winner/useful chaser Whacker Clan. Dam ran once on Flat in France. Wide-margin winner of a maiden point in May and he's an interesting candidate on Rules debut. Deserved his maiden point win in May after three seconds, has joined a top stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (11/10 +27%) Arctic Gale |
11/10(+27%) | (2) Arctic Gale 11/10, Fairly useful hurdler. One win from 2 runs last season. Good second of 6 in novice hurdle at Ballinrobe (23f, good to soft, 11/8) 16 days ago. High on the shortlist. Bumper winner, big chance on his Galway second, arguably unlucky at Ballinrobe. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (18/1 +28%) Ol Man Dingle |
18/1(+28%) | (3) Ol Man Dingle 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden under Rules. Bit below form eleventh of 18 in novice hurdle at Galway (21f, good to soft, 50/1) 28 days ago. Others preferred. Fair fourth at Wexford in July but well held by Arctic Gale on running at Galway. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (11/2 +69%) Slieve Carran |
11/2(+69%) | (5) Slieve Carran 11/2, Lightly-raced maiden under Rules. Good fourth of 15 in novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (24.4f, good, 10/1) 33 days ago. Place possibilities. Point winner, second in a Thurles bumper last year, picked up a minor injury at Kilbeggan. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (7/2 +13%) On Lovers Walk |
7/2(+13%) | (9) On Lovers Walk 7/2, Fair hurdler. Very good second of 12 in claiming hurdle (15/2) at Clonmel (19f, good to soft) 104 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Gerard Kelleher and he's a leading contender. Two wins in points, placed five times over hurdles for his previous trainer, respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (10/1 -54%) Pampar Lady |
10/1(-54%) | (10) Pampar Lady 10/1, Fair hurdler. Remains a maiden after 8 hurdle runs. 12/1, creditable third of 12 in novice hurdle at Ballinrobe (16.8f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Up in trip. Millforce is presumably the stable No 1. Placed four times, has experienced her share of misfortune, trainer also runs Millforce. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (33/1 +34%) Jewel Of Windsor |
33/1(+34%) | (7) Jewel Of Windsor 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden under Rules. 100/1, tenth of 18 in novice hurdle at Galway (21f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 28 days ago. Yard saddles a far more appealing candidate in Arctic Gale. Placed in a point and bumper, remote tenth in Galway race in which Arctic Gale was second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (66/1 -32%) Comeonarchie |
66/1(-32%) | (8) Comeonarchie 66/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Bit below form sixth of 11 in bumper at Downpatrick (18.8f, good, 16/1) 17 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. Unlikely to be good enough on the evidence of four runs in bumpers since early in 2023. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
ARCTIC GALE was just denied by a nose over 2m7f at Ballinrobe last time and can gain compensation. The bumper winner also filled the runner-up spot on his previous start behind Lightkeeper at the Galway Festival and that race has thrown up a couple of maiden winners since. Gavin Cromwell is doubly represented by point-to-point winner Millforce and Pampar Lady, who has been placed a number of times in maiden hurdles and steps up in trip receiving all the allowances. On Lovers Walk won twice in point-to-points and now joins Ross O'Sullivan after finishing second four times over hurdles.
MILLFORCE opened his account in good style between the flags when last seen in May and the 5-y-o is taken to make a successful start to his Rules career. He may have most to fear from Arctic Gale, who has found just one too good on each of his last two starts. That said, On Lovers Walk will also be a threat if he puts his best foot forward on debut for new connections.
Narrowly beaten after getting a bump at Ballinrobe, ARCTIC GALE is worth another chance based on his previous Galway second

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
INFORAPENNY has gained both previous wins over this C&D including last time when prominent throughout and rallying well from the last to beat Hypersonic Missile. That was reward for some consistent efforts this year and he remains on a competitive mark. High Honour returned to form on soft ground at Sligo last week with Rockview Roman back in fourth and any rain will boost his claims while Seasett, Harley Street and Hidalgo Des Mottes are others to consider. Shana Cloon has been a frustrating sort to follow and again looked booked for minor honours last time when falling at the last at Wexford.
Gavin Cromwell might land a fourth successive win in this contest courtesy of SHANA CLOON, who was a model of consistency last season. St Denis's Well is well treated judged on his chase exploits and is second choice ahead of Shark Hanlon's Seasett and last week's Sligo scorer High Honour.
The selection though is INFORAPENNY(nap), who has done all of his winning over this C&D and should go close

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
SEA MUSIC won a Kilbeggan beginners chase over this trip in June and travelled well approaching the straight before finding Talk Of The Town too good in a 2m6f handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival. He should be suited by this drop back in trip and may now have most to fear from Mount Sinai, who won a 2m4f Clonmel maiden hurdle on testing ground last autumn and should benefit from her reappearance when staying on well over an inadequate trip at Galway. Ta Na La won a maiden in good style over C&D last month, while bumper winner Crooked Tannie has been placed a number of times in maiden hurdles and is certainly of interest on his handicap debut.
MOUNT SINAI made a promising return when sixth at Galway last month and is fancied to take a sizeable step forward here. That's About Right heads the list of dangers on the back of his Wexford victory, although a solid case can also be made for Ta Na La, Sea Music and Crooked Tannie.
The selection is MOUNT SINAI, given a fair bit to do at Galway last time but likes this trip and looks well capable off this mark

Should progress and she should be in the mix, for all that this is tougher. Got away with an untidy round of jumping when running away with a maiden at Ballinrobe. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (12/1 +0%) Dame Rapide |
12/1(+0%) | (3) Dame Rapide 12/1, Fairly useful hurdler. 11/1, creditable third of 15 in handicap hurdle at Killarney (17f, good) 41 days ago. Each-way chance. Ran up to her handicap mark at Killarney but will probably need more than that now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/1 -9%) Disco Dancer |
6/1(-9%) | (4) Disco Dancer 6/1, Fairly useful hurdler. One win from 3 runs last season. Latest win in hurdle at Cork in July. Creditable fourth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Tramore (16f, good, 6/1) 13 days ago. Should make her presence felt. Useful form in recent months, consistent in six outings before meeting trouble on latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (10/3 -142%) Four Clean Aces |
10/3(-142%) | (5) Four Clean Aces 10/3, Fairly useful hurdler. Career best when winning 14-runner novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f, good to soft, 6/4) 18 days ago, readily. Open to progress and helps give the Willie Mullins yard (also represented by Crack The Sky) a very strong hand. Dual bumper winner, now getting the hang of things over hurdles, going left may suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (50/1 0%) Cleopatra's Needle |
50/1(0%) | (8) Cleopatra's Needle 50/1, Twice-raced maiden over hurdles. Ninth of 16 in novice hurdle (20/1) at Roscommon (15.4f, soft) 22 days ago. Hood on for 1st time in this code, tongue strap on for 1st time in this code. Low-rated Flat handicapper 1-22, has run twice over hurdles, will need a handicap mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (9/4 +18%) Crack The Sky |
9/4(+18%) | (2) Crack The Sky 9/4, Fairly useful Flat winner. Promising sort. Won 7-runner novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (16f, good to soft, 5/6) 18 days ago, easily. Looks promising and she's probably the one to beat, for all that Paul Townend seemingly prefers Four Clean Aces. Win easily from a 112-rated gelding at Kilbeggan recently, further progress likely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (8/1 -7%) Amanha |
8/1(-7%) | (1) Amanha 8/1, Fair hurdler. 9/1 and hooded for 1st time, career best when winning 12-runner novice hurdle at Roscommon (15.4f, soft) on hurdles bow 22 days ago, going clear. Likely to improve. Promising form in bumpers, made a bright start over hurdles with 5l win at Roscommon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (250/1 -150%) All Biz |
250/1(-150%) | (7) All Biz 250/1, Twice-raced maiden. 150/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at Roscommon (20.2f, soft) 22 days ago, pulled up before 3 out. Has struggled in two maiden hurdle outings, out of her depth here against previous winners. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
With stable jockey Paul Townend in the saddle, the Willie Mullins-trained FOUR CLEAN ACES can follow up her recent win at Kilbeggan. A dual bumper winner, the six-year-old took five attempts to open her account over flights. However, given the manner of her victory at the County Westmeath track, it would be no surprise to see the mare make up for lost time in the coming weeks. Crack The Sky, also trained by Mullins, couldn't have done it any easier when shedding her maiden tag at Kilbeggan earlier this month. While jockey bookings suggest that she is the stable second string, there may not be much between the pair. Ballinrobe winner Royal Hollow is another that should be capable of getting involved.
Presumably Paul Townend was given the choice between CRACK THE SKY and Four Clean Aces, so the fact that he's aboard the latter may well be significant. However, Crack The Sky is nevertheless preferred on the back of a pretty impressive reappearance success at Kilbeggan where she appeared to benefit from being ridden with more restraint compared to her first two starts in this sphere. Royal Hollow is third choice ahead of Amanha and Disco Dancer.
Paul Townend rode FOUR CLEAN ACES and Crack The Sky to victory on the same Kilbeggan card so his choice is a significant pointer

Should be more to come in this sphere for top yard so claims looks fairly obvious. Wide-margin winner of a Flat handicap at Killarney six weeks ago, unexposed over hurdles. |

2nd (6) (11/1 -100%) Sydney Cruiser |
11/1(-100%) | (6) Sydney Cruiser 11/1, Creditable third of 14 in handicap hurdle (11/1) at Ballinrobe (16.8f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Can make presence felt. Best form has been at Ballinrobe, beaten 7l in fourth in May and 3l third on latest. |

20/1(+0%) | (15) Ardad Derek 20/1, Seventh of 12 in handicap hurdle at Wexford (17f, good to soft, 12/1) 91 days ago. Has failed to reach the first six in seven races over hurdles, hard to make a case for him. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Given the ease with which he won on the flat at Killarney last month, it is difficult to ignore the claims of CHUTZPAL back over hurdles. Having had just the four starts over flights for previous connections, the five-year-old looks seriously well handicapped off just 95 in this bottom grade. Getaway Henry won at Wexford last month, before finishing third off a revised mark at that same venue last time. Daniel O'Leary's seven-year-old will need to take another step forward here but as an in-form gelding he has to be respected. Bella Be Good improved on previous efforts when runner-up at Wexford on her most recent outing. Although she needs to back up that performance, the Edward Cawley-trained mare has to be considered.
A big field but it's hard to get away from CHUTZPAL, who made his second start for his leading yard a winning one on the level last month and this mark looks well within range back hurdling. Sydney Cruiser, Getaway Henry and Bella Be Good are a trio of potential threats.
The manner of his Flat win at Killarney implies that CHUTZPAL has an excellent chance on his first hurdles run for this stable

11/1(+21%) | (10) The Border Boy 11/1, Eleventh of 16 in handicap hurdle (14/1) at Cork (18.4f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Worth a market check. Two moderate runs at Cork since a respectable fifth at Tramore, first time tongue-tie. |

50/1(-100%) | (15) Masterstonemason 50/1, Two wins from 45 NH runs. Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. Last of 7 in novice chase at Galway (18.2f, good, 200/1) 29 days ago. Switches from chase to hurdles. Has won twice over hurdles but a long time since he has shown worthwhile form. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The Shark Hanlon-trained GRIZABELLA is probably still well enough handicapped over flights to add another win here. Successful at Wexford in July, the mare returned to that same track last time, where she finished a respectable fourth of 13. Given a rating of 56 on the Flat, one would imagine that she still has some scope for improvement off her current hurdles mark. Malbas ran a big race when runner-up at Down Royal over Christmas but has been absent since. With the winner franking that form subsequently, the John McConnell-trained top-weight should be capable of getting involved if ready after an absence. Former point-to-point winner Due Course is almost certainly capable of better than he has shown under Rules to date.
BUTTONED UP failed to improve for the switch to handicaps last time but things didn't go right and she was spared a hard race, so she's worth another chance to up her game. Malbas is an obvious player if tuned up for his reappearance and Due Course isn't one to give up on.
John McConnell has saddled a few winners in recent weeks and that augurs well for MALBAS on his first outing since last Christmas

More to come and is worth a chance to go one better. Probably ran into one on her debut at Tramore but was a very creditable second; big chance. |

7th (1) (66/1 +0%) Arctic Craft |
66/1(+0%) | (1) Arctic Craft 66/1, Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. First run since leaving Hugh P. Finegan when seventh of 11 in bumper at Downpatrick (18.8f, good, 125/1) 17 days ago. Very modest level of ability in two bumpers; unlikely to figure here. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (28/1 -12%) Jeni Kala |
28/1(-12%) | (12) Jeni Kala 28/1, Kalanisi filly. Dam placed on Flat (stayed 1¼m). Doesn't make much appeal on paper. Newcomer by Kalanisi with quite a speedy pedigree; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (11/1 +45%) Jazzwing |
11/1(+45%) | (9) Jazzwing 11/1, Twice-raced maiden. 25/1, eighth of 15 in bumper at Ballinrobe (15.5f, good) 36 days ago. Might strip fitter for that and can get involved if back to the sort of form she showed on debut. Well held Ballinrobe last month after a year off, having raced keenly; should do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (33/1 +34%) Inch Salvador |
33/1(+34%) | (3) Inch Salvador 33/1, El Salvador gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful 2½m chase winner Following Dreams, barely stayed 3½m. Pulled up sole start in points. Pulled-up on sole point start in May and likely best watched on rules debut. |

12th (8) (12/1 -9%) Albert Hirsch |
12/1(-9%) | (8) Albert Hirsch 12/1, Twice-raced maiden. 40/1, eighth of 13 in bumper at Roscommon (15.4f, soft) 22 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Showed a little ability in a pair of Roscommon bumpers but not enough to be a factor here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Runner-up at Tramore on her racecourse debut earlier this month, ALASKAN VIEW can make the most of this opportunity. The Willie Martin-trained four-year-old is entitled to be all the better for that initial experience, while in Phidelma Elvin she has one of the stronger riders in this race. Monroes Hollow shaped with plenty of promise when fifth at the Galway Festival first time up. Time may well show that to have been a fair contest, so with that in mind the Peter Fahey-trained gelding has to be of interest. Jody Townend looks a rather significant booking for the Michael Grassick-trained Albert Hirsch. Mid division on both runs to date, the son of Beat Hollow might be capable of better given the benefit of those races.
ALASKAN VIEW outran big odds when a promising second at Tramore on debut and she's capable of better, so she's preferred to Monroes Hollow, who also arrives on the back of a positive start. Diamond Tipp is another one to consider.
Preference is for DIAMOND TIPP, second in a Tramore bumper when not getting the run of the race. She can take the beating

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
