The unexposed MA FAMILLE steps into handicap company on a workable mark and could provide the answer to a tricky contest. The daughter of Starspangledbanner showed improved form in two spins on the all-weather in February and having chased home a progressive opponent when a good second at Kempton last time out, she is worth following switched back to turf. Mintana is respected in the first-time cheekpieces, while Furnicoe and Regal Glory are others worthy of consideration.

EXCEED ran his best race to date and caught the eye to boot when runner-up at Southwell (5f) 3 days ago, outpaced over 1f out and keeping on well last ½f. He gets the nod to come out on top back on turf from a handy draw. Ma Famille chased home a next-time-out winner at Kempton in February and is feared on handicap debut, with Mintana and Captain Dandy completing the shortlist.

The vote goes to CAPTAIN DANDY, who won at Wolverhampton last month and is a big player if he can transfer his progress back to turf.

ENRAGED finished with a rattle when a good third at Newcastle a fortnight ago and, from a handy draw, she could be hard to repel with Richard Kingscote now doing the steering. Having only raced eight times on turf, Julie Camacho's consistent filly still has more to give and she is taken to register another personal best. Kensington Agent looks a live danger and is taken seriously, while dual course winner Bluebell Time is not dismissed.

A typically wide-open affair with the narrow vote in favour of ENRAGED. Having ended last year in good form, she's continued the good work on AW since the turn of the year and, with the Julie Camacho stable continuing in fine form, she gets the nod to come out on top. The returning Sows, Kensington Agent and Four Adday are just a trio of others to consider.

Plenty have possibilities but Julie Camacho's progressive filly ENRAGED gets the vote ahead of triple turf winner Mary Of Modena.

The in-form Meisterzinger will be popular after his brace of wins in classified events at Kempton and he is respected running off 4lb lower than his last winning handicap rating. However, his two previous efforts on turf need to be bettered and he is worth taking on. Having won from the same mark at Yarmouth last summer, FAST FORWARD fits the bill on these terms and he is effective with some give underfoot. Hill Station completes the shortlist.

FAST FORWARD has made the frame at Wolverhampton on his last 2 starts, despite having a hopeless task from his position on his latest outing, so he could be ready to return to winning ways this time around. C&D winner My Brother Mike is feared most with his reappearance run behind him, ahead of the hat-trick seeking Meisterzinger.

Dominic Ffrench Davis's horses ran well at Doncaster last Saturday and BOY GEORGE (nap) is handicapped to play a leading role.

Gastronomy remains unexposed and must hold every chance of building on a fair fifth over an extended mile at Wolverhampton, but a chance can be taken with ALPINE STROLL. He is now rated just 2lb above his last winning mark and a drop in class from his reappearance at Kempton last month could see him improve back on turf. Grand Canal and Atlantis Blue add further spice to the mix.

Lots with chances but Roger Varian's GASTRONOMY appeals as the sort to take a sizeable step forward now he goes handicapping with his stamina drawn out more so gets the vote. Cabrakan enjoyed a good winter over hurdles for Milton Harris and is feared most back in this sphere, with both Atlantis Blue and Reach weighted to have a say.

There are ifs and buts about all the runners but KING EAGLE is open to improvement at this trip for his new yard.

A game winner over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last month, CARACRISTI makes plenty of appeal on her return to turf and she is fancied to have another big say in proceedings. Philip Kirby's filly has been handed a 2lb rise and can go in again. Well Prepared arrives on a hat-trick bid and should not be taken lightly back in handicap company, with Ebury and He's Our Star just a couple more to bear in mind.

The suggestion is SUPERSTAR DJ who has fewer convictions than the majority of these and shaped quite well for a long way on his Southwell reappearance 7 weeks ago. Daphne May is better than she showed last time and remains well treated on her best form so she's a possible threat. Latent Heat is another with plenty of handicapping scope if primed for this reappearance, while Knight of Kings won comfortably on the previous occasion he encountered soft turf and is one to monitor in the betting.

The step back up in trip should be a firm plus for KNIGHT OF KINGS on his second start back from a long absence and he's the pick.

In a wide-open contest, a chance is taken with SCHUMANN. Richard Hughes' charge couldn't land a blow across his three qualifying runs, the latest of those over 6f. He should be suited by the return to further, however, and first-time cheekpieces could spark an improved effort. Landlordtothestars has been running well on the all-weather recently and he looks capable of playing a part back on the grass. Others to note include Double Down and Eight Mile.

DOUBLE DOWN improved having been ridden closer to the pace when just edged out at Kempton 4 weeks ago and should go well up 2 lb and in a change of headgear. Eight Mile showed good speed stepped up to this trip when scoring at Lingfield last week and rates a big threat under a penalty, while Landlordtothestars should be in the mix if seeing out this longer distance.

Richard Hughes's horses are running well and SCHUMANN is the pick with the step back up in trip promising to suit on handicap debut.

Waleyfa is 2lb well-in under a 5lb penalty having claimed classified honours last week and she merits respect along with Come To Pass, who continues to run well in defeat and was beaten less than a length by Recuerdame at Lingfield. SEATTLE KING split them on that occasion, but Phil McEntee's gelding is extremely well treated judged on past exploits and recent performances on the all-weather would suggest it might not be long until he cashes in on a sliding handicap mark.

WALEYFA opened her account in impressive fashion on her first outing for Allice Haynes at Lingfield 11 days ago and looks well treated under a 5 lb penalty on that effort back in handicap company, so the follow up is very much on the cards. Seattle King and Moon Over The Sea head the opposition.

This can go to WALEYFA who is 2lb well in under a penalty for her successful stable debut at Lingfield 11 days ago.
