17:40 Bangor-on-dee Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DOCTOR FOLEY had to work hard to justify favouritism at Fontwell, but the runner-up has gone one better since so the form is solid and Anthony Honeyball's seven-year-old can defy a 5lb rise. Happy Du Mesnil came within a whisker of completing a Southwell brace and should be thereabouts again. Crystal Moon, Walking The Walk and Exmoor Forest are a few more to consider in an open affair.

FAVORI DE SIVOLA hinted at a revival back with Jane Williams at Newton Abbot 3 weeks ago and, now 13 lb below his last winning mark, looks worth chancing in the hope he builds on that. Justshortofabubble looks primed for a big run back over fences, while Happy du Mesnil can go well again.

An open race in which the vote goes to DOCTOR FOLEY, who made it 3-7 over fences when beating a clear second at Fontwell last month.

18:13 Bangor-on-dee Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

STEPPENWOLF made the best possible start to life with David Pipe when breaking his chasing duck at Ffos Las. An 8lb rise complicates matters but he appears rejuvenated by the switch from Ireland and is preferred to Clondaw Royale, who could start to deliver on his early promise now he tackles fences. Deerstalker is fancied to do better than he did when sent off favourite at Stratford. Grey Skies is also worth a look.

STEPPENWOLF produced a career-best effort starting out for David Pipe when a ready winner at Ffos Las a month ago, and on that evidence, his revised mark looks within range. Grey Skies is a solid operator at this level so commands respect, while Deerstalker might show more on this second chase start.

David Pipe's ex-Irish recruit STEPPENWOLF (nap) can make light of an 8lb rise for his impressive Ffos Las success last time out

18:48 Bangor-on-dee Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THERAPIST hasn't looked back since going handicapping, rewarding those favourite-backers who kept the faith after three straight losses by going in at Southwell and Huntingdon. A 4lb rise doesn't seem too harsh for the latest of those, and she is still well treated compared to her Flat rating. The same can be said for Ikigai Star and Dog Fox, with the latter offering encouragement when runner-up on his handicap bow at Southwell.

THERAPIST has proved a different proposition following a short break/switch to handicaps in this sphere, successful at Southwell/Huntingdon, and she looks a serious player in her hat-trick bid up 4 lb for her latest success. Fellow 4-y-os Dog Fox and Ikigai Star are others to consider in a competitive contest.

Top of the list is 4yo IKIGAI STAR, who won a Huntingdon maiden last month and is open to more progress on this handicap hurdle debut.

19:23 Bangor-on-dee Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

After a comfortable success over the extended 2m4f at Market Rasen last month, KALEB is taken to follow up. Amy Murphy's charge scored by a little over a length on that occasion and a 3lb rise in the ratings may not halt his progression. Fellow last-time-out winner Ballygeary should give the selection most to think about but he needs to defy a 7lb hike, while former Grade 3 winner Party Business is also noted.

The likeable KALEB might be able to defy a 3 lb rise for Market Rasen. Tedley has been running with credit in defeat lately and might be the one to give the selection most to think about ahead of Irish-raider Zeeband.

Several have possibilities but the vote goes to BALLYGEARY, who was a clearcut winner in a Class 2 at Market Rasen three weeks ago.

19:58 Bangor-on-dee Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having made a pleasing start to her career over timber, WALK OF THE ROSES can get her head in front for the first time in this sphere. David Pipe's five-year-old had excuses for her second over 2m1f at Newton Abbot last month and she can go one better. Briefly has been knocking on the door of late and she rates as the biggest danger, while Moon Lady heads the remainder.

BRIEFLY is following a similar path over hurdles as in bumpers in that she's proving to be steadily progressive and gets the nod to open her account in an ordinary affair. Walk of The Roses is entitled to improve on her initial outing in this sphere, while Marco's Light shaped as if in need of the experience in her sole outing in bumpers and could fare much better on this switch to hurdling.

Preference is for bumper winner WALK OF THE ROSES, who started her hurdling career with a promising second at Newton Abbot last month.

20:30 Bangor-on-dee Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Now in the hands of new connections after an encouraging start to her career in a bumper at Galway last September, FINAL ESCAPE looks the one to beat on her hurdles bow with the step up in trip expected to suit. Beau Della arrives with similar claims after a pair of runner-up efforts in bumpers, while Bing Belle is another to consider following a respectable fourth over shorter at Fontwell last month.

FINAL ESCAPE produced a promising first effort when second of 14 in a Galway bumper on debut for Margaret Mullins 9 months ago and, having been sold for 40,000 gns in October, she makes plenty of appeal now starting out over hurdles at an ordinary level. Scarlet O'Tara undoubtedly remains capable of better, for all that the drop back in trip may not be ideal, while Beau Della ought to be up to making her presence felt judged on her bumper exploits.

Preference is for BEAU DELLA, who was runner-up in her last two bumpers and looks interesting upped in trip on hurdling debut.

21:00 Bangor-on-dee Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HOME SWEET HIGHWAY must hold every chance if building on a career-best effort when runner-up over C&D last time out. Mistakes late in that contest may have cost him and, with a clearer round of jumping on this occasion, Donald McCain's charge can get the better of The Bold Thady and Bright Sunbird, who wasn't beaten far over further at Kelso last month. Dynamite Kentucky, Johns Dream and Nora The Xplorer complete the shortlist.

Plenty of these arrive out of form so a chance is taken on stable-switcher GRASS'S JET, who matched the best of his novice form when fourth on handicap debut at Taunton in December and looks capable of better again for his new yard this season. Home Street Highway bounced back to form when runner-up here last month, and he may have to settle for silver again, with Bright Sunbird and If I Say another couple fancied to go well.

It may pay to side with local runner HOME SWEET HIGHWAY who responded well to blinkers last time.
