![]() Captain Cess |
(8) 4/1(+0%) | (8) Captain Cess 4/1, Suited by the trip when going close at Bath last time beaten ¾l off 59; yard in solid form; entitled to go well again Close third of nine at Bath (1m, good to firm; gelded since) on handicap/seasonal debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Classic Cause |
(9) 5/1(+0%) | (9) Classic Cause 5/1, Improved when narrowly denied over 7f at Southwell; up in trip here and one to note if seeing it out 1m looks sure to suit and another step forward is likely if he proves effective on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Yafaarr |

(3) 7/2(+0%) | (3) French Haven 7/2, Displayed a willing attitude to get up late and score by ½l off 60 at Newmarket latest; up 2lb; respected with confidence boosted Big change of tactics to come from last to win at Newmarket (1m) 16 days ago; back up 2lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Profit Rockit |
(4) 9/1(+0%) | (4) Profit Rockit 9/1, Didn't appear to see it out when beaten 6l in a 7f Wolverhampton nursery; consistent prior and now goes up in trip in first-time blinkers; worth monitoring Blinkered for this reappearance (fifth start) and needs to take a step forward. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Zaraquelle |
(2) 12/1(+0%) | (2) Zaraquelle 12/1, Beaten 7l in a Newmarket handicap last time but may have more to come with a notable jockey booked; not ruled out if returning to previous form Faded in her two handicaps (9.4f/1m) and did not beat many of those rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Take The Boat |
(6) 12/1(+0%) | (6) Take The Boat 12/1, Won a 7f Kempton handicap three runs back but hasn't built on that; fifth beaten 7l off 62 last time; drops 1lb; needs to recapture winning form Won three handicaps this year on the Kempton AW (1m/7f); possible excuses last two outings. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Pay Attention |
(5) 15/2(+0%) | (5) Pay Attention 15/2, Below best when fourth beaten 7l at Doncaster last time but has hinted at ability; tongue-tie goes on; could outrun odds on peak form 0-9; in the frame from off pace in 1m handicaps for new yard in his three races this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kaleidoscope Eyes |
(7) 15/2(+0%) | (7) Kaleidoscope Eyes 15/2, Held 3l off 60 at Wolverhampton last time and remains unproven over this longer trip; not discounted returning from a short break Consistent in handicaps up to 7f on Tapeta for M Appleby; sold for 7,000gns one month ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() She's A Goldigger |
(10) 40/1(-21%) | (10) She's A Goldigger 40/1, Weakened over 9f at Wolverhampton latest; drop back may help but remains unproven at the trip; others more persuasive Handicapping will provide a much more suitable opening if she has any ability. |
Yafaarr remains a maiden after three starts and has his first run in a handicap after a gelding operation. Captain Cess was beaten less than a length when third at Bath and has also been gelded since and could go close, but FRENCH HAVEN is preferred. She got off the mark at Newmarket recently and an added 2lb may not stop her from following up.
French Haven clicked with her Newmarket win but could still prove vulnerable to improvement from CAPTAIN CESS and Classic Cause.

NEOLITHIC finished behind Gavoo on his debut recently but might turn form and win. That Curragh maiden was a smart contest and while the selection was beaten nine lengths, he was green for much of the race before running on in the closing stages. Today's rider claims 3lb and he looks sure to improve. Gavoo showed plenty ability on his debut in that recent maiden, so can give the selection plenty to think about. Summer Is Tomorrow missed the break on debut in a lesser Roscommon maiden but should improve plenty.
Following a pleasing debut at the Curragh GAVOO can be fancied to confirm form with Innumerable who was having her second outing

![]() Belle Of Boston |
(13) 200/1(+0%) | (13) Belle Of Boston 200/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Sligo most recent; yet to show anything; up in trip; all to do Completely tailed off in maidens at Ballinrobe and Sligo; instantly opposable. |
I AM RIVER is interesting on his return to action. The Getaway gelding pulled up on his debut run in a Fairyhouse bumper in January 2024 when the rider reported he lost his action. He had gone to post a well supported odds-on shot that day so obviously shows a bit at home. There are a few of these that have been knocking on the door. Keep Kool Coko ran a solid race when chasing home Trasna Na Pairce at Clonmel last time and sets the standard off a mark of 112. In The Trenches has been placed over fences on his last three runs and is another to note, reverting to hurdles.
A few of these are capable of picking up a modest maiden but I AM RIVER has the potential to be a cut above them all.

![]() Glitter Code |
(6) 4/1(+0%) | (6) Glitter Code 4/1, Produced a solid effort when second in a Yarmouth handicap latest; only up 1lb and shaping as though there's more to come; respected 0-10 and not progressing but ran well behind a big improver last month. |

(4) 7/4(+0%) | (4) Bay Of Dreams 7/4, Landed a Newcastle contest three starts back and ran with credit when third off similiar latest; handles this trip well and looks a leading player on balance of form Placed twice since winning handicap debut in March, latterly in higher-grade C&D race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Adversary |
(8) 13/2(+0%) | (8) Adversary 13/2, Weak in the market but not beaten far over 7f at Southwell last time; bred to stay this longer trip and first-time blinkers could unlock improvement; shortlisted Went close over 7f on AW in April; up in trip in new headgear for turf debut; a possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Garibaldi Memory |
(9) 13/2(+0%) | (9) Garibaldi Memory 13/2, Well held on both outings to date, including over 7f at Kempton last time; not obviously crying out for this step up in trip and improvement needed after a break Unable to land a significant blow in three novice races; may fare better in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Clever Jack |
(5) 14/1(+0%) | (5) Clever Jack 14/1, Found little on return from a break at Yarmouth but shaped as though the run was needed; now fitted with blinkers and entitled to step forward; not dismissed lightly Went close on nursery debut (7f, AW) but reappeared with poor 1m run in April. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Westgate Warrior |
(1) 15/2(+0%) | (1) Westgate Warrior 15/2, Stepped forward on reappearance when beaten 3l in a maiden over 5f at Southwell last time; up in trip; off a short-break; may figure if building on that Improved form when fifth in 5f maiden on stable debut; hiked up in trip for first handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Aphrodites Rock |
(2) 18/1(+0%) | (2) Aphrodites Rock 18/1, Looked inconvenienced by fast ground when beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap at Thirsk last time; may prefer softer conditions; remains a possible contender Has struggled on both outings this year; headgear switched today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Genbu |
(3) 20/1(+0%) | (3) Genbu 20/1, Failed to make an impact in Ayr maiden over 8f on only start; drop back in trip may be a plus; Plenty to prove based on debut Well beaten in first two handicaps, the latter over C&D; too risky. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Beachborough Girl |
(7) 33/1(+0%) | (7) Beachborough Girl 33/1, Appeared to find 10f stretching her stamina when down the field in a Yarmouth handicap last time; cheekpieces go on; drop back in trip could help, but improvement needed Well beaten on handicap debut; drops back from 1m2f with cheekpieces added here. |
Glitter Code has some fair placed form, including a second over a mile at Yarmouth last month, but 10 starts without a win is a concern. Westgate Warrior is interesting stepping up in trip for his handicap debut, after a three-length fifth at Southwell over 5f, but ADVERSARY tops the shortlist. A short-head second in April, the Pinatubo gelding steps up in trip in first-time blinkers and he could come home in front.
James Ferguson's filly BAY OF DREAMS has remained in good form since her Newcastle win in March and gets the vote.

![]() Alvesta |
(4) 3/1(+0%) | (4) Alvesta 3/1, In need of the experience fourth beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap hurdle at Huntingdon latest where let down by jumping; gets weight from main rivals; outside chance Has taken pretty well to hurdling but has a bit to find with the top two on the racecard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() High Court Judge |
(1) 6/4(+0%) | (1) High Court Judge 6/4, Ideally suited by trip when winning a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon by 3/4l last time beating well backed stablemate; steadily progressive; more to come judged on flat form; strong claims Resurgent on AW this year and a recent maiden hurdle winner; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Howth |
(2) 7/4(+0%) | (2) Howth 7/4, Raced freely when winning a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen over 2m1f by 2l last time; runner up has won since; trainer in form; more to come judged on classy flat form; could be tough to peg back Useful Flat stayer; beat two next-time-out winners on last month's stable/hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Francesi |
(3) 16/1(+0%) | (3) Francesi 16/1, Below par 5l third in a handicap over 8f at Lingfield most recent run; 3 years without a win on flat; up in trip; big ask on hurdle debut Placed on the Flat in April but has modest strike-rate; makes hurdle debut today. |
Having recently got the better of an odds-on stablemate at Huntingdon, there could be more to come from HIGH COURT JUDGE in this discipline. That was only the five-year-old's third appearance over hurdles and he shades the verdict over Howth. Tom Lacey's charge made a winning hurdles bow at Market Rasen last month and isn't taken lightly. Alvesta may fare best of the remainder.
High Court Judge is not opposed lightly but HOWTH was a better horse on the Flat and has also won over hurdles.

![]() Magny Cours |
(8) 40/1(+0%) | (8) Magny Cours 40/1, 7 Feb; Awtaad filly; half-sister to Gweedore, smart at 6f; dam very smart at 6f at 2yo; probaby best watched on debut 30,000 Euros yearling price tag; half-sister to five winners; may find a few too good here. |
DREAMY SKIES represents an in-form yard which operates at a high strike-rate, so it is encouraging that she debuts this early in her career. A 240,000gns yearling and out of winning-juvenile racemare, she debuts at a difficult course for newcomers but her trainer has done well with newcomers at country tracks recently and if she breaks well from the inside draw, should figure. Luna Mia was a 125,000 pounds breeze-up purchase last month and should also run well, while 360,000-euro yearling Closely is a half-sibling to five winners. Well-bred Daring Grace is tongue-tied on debut while Award Ceremony has proven speed and fair ability.
Those with previous runs don't provide an insurmountable level of form. CLOSELY has a nice pedigree and can win on debut.

(1) 10/1(+0%) | (1) Huntsgrove 10/1, Did not get a clear run won a maiden hurdle at Sligo over 2m4f by a head last time; previous runner up effort here boosted; up in trip; outside claims up in grade Rated 109, a shade fortunate to score latest, should stay this trip, more needed to win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cooke's Lass |
(3) 10/3(0%) | (3) Cooke's Lass 10/3, 2 1/2l winner in a maiden hurdle over 2m5f at Wexford on debut; third has boosted that form; step up in trip should suit; off a short-break; potential threat Won a 20.5f mares' maiden hurdle on debut, upped in trip, unexposed and can't discount. |
TOAD HALL sets a good standard here off his mark of 127 and should take a bit of beating. The Fame And Glory gelding won his maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in late March and wasn't disgraced in a decent novice event at Cheltenham last month. This looks easier. Cooke's Lass won on her debut at Wexford early last month and remains unexposed. She looks like the danger. Huntsgrove was a game winner at Sligo last time but looks to have more on his plate now.
The Champion trainer has won the last two renewals of this and the top rated TOAD HALL (nap) should be up to completing the hat-trick.

(11) 40/1(+0%) | (11) Satyress 40/1, Well held on Newcastle debut when outpaced; longer trip needs to spark improvement On pedigree she looks a longer-term prospect for longer trips; that was backed up by debut. |
With very little form to work with, the Redcar third WITHOUT BURLINGTON could be the one. A drop back in trip may see him in a better light with his first run in four months under his belt. Newcomer Forever Penywern is one to note for the William Haggas and Cieran Fallon team, alongside Dabhand, who is a half-brother to numerous winners around the world.
Given the standard of form on offer in this field, it is not hard to turn to the Haggas-trained newcomer FOREVER PENYWERN.

(5) 18/1(+0%) | (5) Varinia 18/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Ludlow most recent; ran big race under overly aggressive ride over C&D previously; not ruled out for yard with good record here Well beaten last time but ran big race when second over C&D on handicap debut in April. |
LYNESS DANCER made a perfect stable debut when coasting home at Huntingdon last month. Although the assessor has reacted with a 10lb hike in the ratings, the six-year-old looked to score with plenty in the tank and a double could be on the cards. Kankin returned to form with a respectable second at Stratford 24 days ago and may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Dartmouth Rose.
There is no strong temptation to oppose LYNESS DANCER (nap), who won very comfortably on last month's stable debut.

NEZEEH has done well in recent weeks and ran well in a claimer on Thursday. A speedily-bred Godolphin cast-off, he had tried slightly longer distances before scoring at Cork earlier this month and having again shown nice ability at Fairyhouse, seems progressive and is helped by his draw in 2. Nine-time winner Tawaazon defeated today's rival Never Shout Never to win at Naas recently while reappearing Ramiro is drawn wide in 12 but is a previous course winner.
NEVER SHOUT NEVER has been running consistently and has dropped to a dangerous mark. He can turn around the .5L deficit from last time

Not the strongest looking contest and this track may suit front-runner BLUE REED. He made a couple of bold bids around Fairyhouse and Punchestown earlier in the year when scooting well clear only to be collared late on. They might find it hard to peg him back around here. Loup De Tallane was an impressive winner on his last visit here and could be a danger on his return to action. Give Him A Chance had just been headed when falling at Limerick last month and off just a 2lb higher mark he's another that has to come into the mix.
OUR UNCLE JACK shaped like this longer trip would suit when fifth over 2m2f here last time out and he can go close if settling better.

CHARLIE BOYO failed to justify favouritism but still shaped with bundles of promise when only beaten a neck into second on his debut at Salisbury. Clive Cox's youngster might only need to find minimal improvement in order to get off the mark. Capitalization changed hands for 260,000 pounds in April and with the Hamad Al Jehani yard in good nick, he has to be respected. Any market confidence behind Rogue Supremacy would be interesting.
The newcomers will need to be pretty streetwise to beat CHARLIE BOYO, who ran to a useful level when second on his debut.

POTTERSJETAMAY supplemented his promising fifth-placed stable bow at Warwick with a respectable second over hurdles at Southwell last time. Matt Crawley's inmate makes plenty of appeal reverting to fences and this could prove a suitable opportunity for the six-year-old to open his account. Three-time chase winner Getaway Jewel's mark continues to tumble and he shouldn't be underestimated, while Extraordinary Man should appreciate the reapplication of cheekpieces.
Topweight POTTERSJETAMAY probably still has potential over fences and gets the nod ahead of Extraordinary Man.

![]() Admiral Churchill |
(3) 10/3(+0%) | (3) Admiral Churchill 10/3, Won a maiden at Limerick over 7f by 1/2l last time; that form had knocks; trainer in form; not proven trip; chance if stamina holds up but that is a concern Hardy winner of Limerick maiden; he is on an upward curve and is a key player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Nobler |
(5) 11/2(+0%) | (5) Nobler 11/2, Below par fourth beaten 8 1/2l in an auction race over 10f at Navan latest; previous maiden run franked; top course trainer; down in trip; may contend Placed in all five starts; improvement needed but receives weight from all his rivals. |
WANNABE ROYAL was well held in the recent Tetrarch Stakes but drops in grade. Well held at the Curragh, she was eased when her chance had gone and while she would prefer an ease in ground conditions, is useful and has an ability to race with the pace, which helps around here. Chazzesmee is a former Irish Lincoln winner, who slipped on his most recent race last June. He is better on easy ground and has a long lay-off to overcome. UK import Kilt is a keen-goer but likes fast ground.
This is a good opportunity for WANNABE ROYAL although there is a suspicion that she prefers a softer surface.

(14) 16/1(+0%) | (14) Monsieur Kodi 16/1, Below par beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; returning from a break; just 1lb above last winning mark which came over C&D; may just need this C&D win in November came in a less-competitive event; needs to raise his game. |
JESSE LUC arrives looking for a hat-trick and, with a record of three wins from four starts over course and distance, he may take the step up in class in his stride. Crimson Sand was third in a higher grade at Lingfield in April and could also go close on his first start after wind surgery. The recent Newmarket second Fiscal Policy is another with valid form claims.
Possible winners galore but MUSICAL TOUCH can regain the winning thread back at 6f. Crimson Sand heads the long list of dangers.

MOULANE WEST was a very easy winner when getting his own way in front at Sligo 19 days ago and may be able to follow up despite an 11lb hike. The Jet Away gelding was recording his first victory since a similarly impressive bumper win back in July 2021 and is a talented sort when things fall right. Malbas won at Fairyhouse on his penultimate outing and ran a solid race when fourth at Down Royal last time. He could be a danger. Jerrari wasn't beaten far when fourth at Wexford last time and can pick up prize-money again.
Gavin Cromwell's horses are in form and MY GOOD PAL could get his head in front after an improved effort at Wexford four days ago.

![]() Smooth Silesie |
(9) 16/1(+0%) | (9) Smooth Silesie 16/1, Probably needed the run when beaten 4l at Chelmsford last time; in good form prior Did well for yard in 2024, winning 5 times, including over C&D; weighted to be involved. |
ELEGANT ERIN accounted for Nad Alshiba Green (third) by a neck when she filled the runner-up spot over track and trip last time and that might be the key piece of form to focus on. The eight-year-old can confirm her authority to regain the winning thread. Nightbird was far from disgraced in third at Yarmouth on her most recent start, while Tiva is another to note.
Although lacking experience, TIVA (nap) took a big step forward on her reappearance and there's every likelihood she can do better yet.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Piecederesistance |
(4) 14/1(+0%) | (4) Piecederesistance 14/1, Probably needed race beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Sedgefield last time but hinted at revival; well treated on autumn C&D runner up effort; interesting 0-8 over hurdles but caught the eye when travelling well for a long way last month. |
LIGHT DRAGOON trounced the opposition at Fontwell on his return to action. That was only his second start in a handicap, so there should be plenty more to come from Tom Lacey's charge. James Owen has trained the last two winners of this contest and runs Tara Iti, a losing favourite when second at Uttoxeter a week ago, while Callin Baton Rouge is preferred to Piecederesistance of the remaining pair.
The suggestion is CALLIN BATON ROUGE, who did very well for the Pogson stable last summer, is back on a good mark now.

EL BELLO might defy top-weight, being a five-time winner at this distance. Admittedly all those career wins have come on all-weather surfaces but he has been running well on turf in recent weeks. Once rated 80, he competes from a career low rating today and finished ahead of today's rival Saxon Kingdom at the Curragh earlier this month. Saxon Kingdom is consistent and is also just 5lb higher than when winning at Gowran recently but would prefer an extra furlong. Browned Off has changed ownership since a recent disappointment but previously chased home Are You In Or Out at Leopardstown.
The consistent STILL SHE BLOOMS gets the vote to reverse Killarney form with subsequent winner Saxon Kingdom on revised terms

(7) 28/1(+0%) | (7) Big Harry 28/1, 24 Mar; Harry Angel gelding; half-brother to Coastal Sunrise, moderate at 5f; dam smart at 7f at 2yo; looks an unlikely winner on debut Third foal out of a 6f-1m winner; gelded ahead of debut and wouldn't be the obvious answer. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Athena's Fortune |
(10) 28/1(0%) | (10) Athena's Fortune 28/1, Yard has won last two runnings of race; well beaten in a novice at Newmarket only start; plenty more needed 40-1 for Newmarket debut (good) and finished some lengths behind Caitrinho. |
The recent Newmarket sixth Athena's Fortune is an interesting contender with the benefit of that experience. She can go well, but it may be worth taking a chance on the unraced CATWALK CHAT, a daughter of Expert Eye who is in the care of James Owen and looks the part on pedigree. Our Cody was a beaten favourite at Chepstow and is another to consider.
There are some interesting newcomers. CAITRINHO has to deal with a wide draw but it was an encouraging start he made at Newmarket.

![]() Karacole |
(12) 100/1(+0%) | (12) Karacole 100/1, Comfortably held in a beginners chase chase here last time; generally out of form; more needed and looks one for low grade handicaps Flat winner who is 0-14 over hurdles and very opposable on recent chasing exploits. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() St Cuthbert's Cave |
(9) 4/1(0%) | (9) St Cuthbert's Cave 4/1, Yard has won 2 of last 8 runnings of race; 11l third in a novice hurdle at Killarney most recent run; consistent hurdler; can make presence felt on chase debut Only 1-11 over hurdles but consistent and can raise his profile over fences. |
A competitive looking contest and ASPUROFTHEMOMENT may be able to keep his winning run going. The Ocovango gelding has won twice over hurdles after joining Gavin Cromwell having won a point-to-point for Eugene O'Sullivan. He went up to a mark of 120 after his cosy success at Bellewstown last month and that is the top mark for this restricted beginners chase. Plenty of Henry de Bromhead's improve for going chasing and Nouvotic has to be respected having earned a mark of 117 over timber. St Cuthbert's Cave has a hurdles mark of 118 and is another for the shortlist.
This isn't a bad beginners' chase and the suggestion is NOUVOTIC who ran so well in a pretty hot handicap hurdle last time.

![]() Currumbin |
(6) 16/1(+0%) | (6) Currumbin 16/1, Pulled hard early and faded late when beaten 5l over 2m at Kempton latest; sharper pace and drop in trip may help; significant jockey booking Did well on AW for new yard over the winter but his last two outings prompt doubts. |
BULLDOG SPIRIT struck in ready fashion over track and trip on his latest outing and is just 5lb higher. Brian Ellison's five-year-old remains on a workable mark and can complete a double. The Crafty Mole showed a lot more when second at Haydock last time and should remain competitive, despite his 2lb higher rating. Rock N Roll Pinkie is the pick of the remainder.
Preference in a competitive race is for THE CRAFTY MOLE who went close at Haydock ten days ago. Expressionless won this last year.

(5) 9/4(+0%) | (5) Abingworth 9/4, Travelled well when scored by a length off 107 over 2m4f at Warwick penultimate start; looked likely winner when falling in hat trick bid; trainer in form; the one to beat if stamina holds up Bang in form and has recently joined a trainer who does so well with new recruits. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Stormin Crossgales |
(3) 16/1(+0%) | (3) Stormin Crossgales 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 3m1f at Aintree latest where failed to stay; won match race here previously; enjoys making it; down in trip; others more reliable It was a good-quality handicap in which he struggled at Aintree and this is easier. |
HURRICANE BAY reportedly suffered a respiratory problem when failing to complete at Uttoxeter. Connections will be hoping the application of a tongue-tie solves that issue and Lucy Wadham's chaser gets another chance on the strength of his convincing success at Huntingdon in April. Abingworth was still in contention when unseating at Worcester, so he could feature with a clear round, while Trapista is noted too.
Abingworth is clearly a strong contender but the addition of a tongue-tie could be significant for HURRICANE BAY.

(10) 40/1(+0%) | (10) Chatterbox 40/1, Probably needed race beaten 9l in a handicap over 12f at Roscommon last time; not proven trip; probably bit to come but needs it to defy this mark Longstanding maiden who has shown his best form at Killarney, not a strong contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Saga Des Aigles |
(14) 40/1(+0%) | (14) Saga Des Aigles 40/1, Comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan last time; generally out of form in both codes; visor first time; not proven trip; bit to find Ordinary form over hurdles in two runs for this stable, perhaps worth a market check. |
EMPRESS ALMA progressed nicely as she steadily edged up in distance last year and recorded the latest of three wins over this trip at Thurles in October. The Gavin Cromwell-trained filly should benefit from her reappearance behind Inchiquin Star over an extended 1m5f at Gowran and may have most to fear from Elle Dorado Rock who won over this trip at Dundalk in January and impressed last time over 1m5f at Navan with Make Good nearly seven lengths behind in fifth and Scott Lang seventh. Dark Note won a charity race at the Punchestown Festival while others to consider include Dumb Love and Allo Al Khawaneej.
An 8lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to prevent ELLE DORADO ROCK from adding to his emphatic win over 1m5f at Navan.

![]() Jack Mcnamara |
(11) 25/1(+0%) | (11) Jack Mcnamara 25/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a handicap over 2m at Kempton latest; not proven trip; not proven on AW; returning from a break; bit to find and stamina concerns Very lightly raced 5yo; flopped on handicap debut but could still have potential. |
CARLTON has a good record at Chelmsford with five starts yielding five victories, with four of those wins coming over this trip. He does need a career best off his new mark upped in class, but still appears to have every chance. Kitty Furnival has to be of interest despite top-weight after her second at Lingfield, leaving Almudena as an interesting alternative after five top-three finishes in a row to end last year.
This can go to KITTY FURNIVAL (nap), who ran a big race in defeat behind a next-time-out winner on her seasonal debut.

(2) 7/2(+13%) | (2) She's A Fine Wine 7/2, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Punchestown most recent; in good form over fences prior; unexposed in this sphere; contender Winning hurdler, promise in both beginners', could go well on h'cap chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Spellacy's Cross |
(9) 12/1(+14%) | (9) Spellacy's Cross 12/1, Bit too much to do fourth beaten 6l in a handicap hurdle at Clonmel latest; versatile ground wise; in good form over fences in winter; bit to find up in grade Went close twice on testing ground in February, decent hurdles run latest, 3lb wrong. |
CHEERFUL CHAP won twice over hurdles last year and has been a model of consistency since over fences. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding has been placed on all five outings since returning last December and only found Canal End too good when stepping up to 3m last time in a valuable Navan handicap. Freddie Robdal returned to form when successful over a similar trip here last time, but it looks significant that Darragh O'Keeffe now partners stablemate She's A Fine Wine. Nt Field Minnesota scored on her chasing debut at Killarney last August but was let down by her jumping when disappointing on both outings since.
CHEERFUL CHAP ran a blinder in a better race than this last time out and he may be able to gain his first chase win off just 2lb higher

![]() Yokkell |
(2) 6/1(+0%) | (2) Yokkell 6/1, Scored with authority by 2l off 84 in a handicap here last time; clearly in good heart; should go well again Successful return to Flat in five-runner handicap over C&D, making all and unchallenged. |

![]() Jowddah |
(5) 7/4(+0%) | (5) Jowddah 7/4, Well backed and delivered when getting up late to win a 7f handicap by 1/2l off 83 at Yarmouth last time; longer trip here; trainer in flying form; the pick on balance of form Justified favouritism as 3yo in AW maiden (1m) and handicap at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm). |

![]() Gaiety Musical |
(3) 9/1(+0%) | (3) Gaiety Musical 9/1, Consistent filly who won narrowly off 78 at Southwell three starts back and lost little in defeat when second, beaten a neck off 80 most recent; chance again in this form Four AW wins this year and beaten a neck latest outing; 2024 turf runs are less convincing. |

![]() Treasure |
(1) 9/2(+0%) | (1) Treasure 9/2, Well backed when beaten by 8l in the Listed Gillies Fillies' Stakes over 10f at Doncaster last time; down in trip; significant jockey booking; in the mix Strong feeling of unfinished business and drop back to 1m (debut C&D win) isn't ridiculous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Supermodel |
(6) 11/2(+0%) | (6) Supermodel 11/2, Found ground too testing when comfortably held in Listed company (Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Stakes) over 7f at Newbury latest; better expected back on sounder surface and up in trip; not dismissed Both 2yo runs were 7f on heavy, impressive on debut but floundering in a Listed race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Alessia Fernanda |
(4) 15/2(+0%) | (4) Alessia Fernanda 15/2, Benefited from a well-judged ride when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 77 over 9f at Musselburgh last time; remains fairly treated; value selection based on overall profile 1-15 in Ireland; won British debut from the front in five-runner Musselburgh race (1m1f). |
Having followed up her maiden triumph by completing a double on her handicap bow at Yarmouth last month, there should be more to come from JOWDDAH. A 3lb rise in the ratings looks workable for Roger Varian's filly and she edges the vote over Yokkell. The latter made a winning stable bow over C&D in April and another bold bid is forecast. Treasure is also of interest, although this drop in distance may work against her.
The four who have run this year have all run well but they face fascinating seasonal debutantes in TREASURE and Supermodel.

![]() Annie Nail |
(6) 16/1(+0%) | (6) Annie Nail 16/1, Well backed when scored over fences by 11l off 74 over 2m5f here penultimate start; third beaten 25l off 81 last time where unsuited by drop in trip; well treated on chase form; every chance Perhaps dodgy form when winning over fences here; remote when third last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Fast Deal |
(7) 50/1(+0%) | (7) Fast Deal 50/1, Looked to want further well beaten in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Market Rasen latest; generally out of form; longer trip a plus; bit to find on hurdles return Only one win in 59 starts and that was over fences at huge odds in April last year. |
A winner here in January, MERSEY STREET was still in contention at the last over a longer distance at Fontwell last time, but ran out of steam in the closing stages. That was a marked improvement on his recent efforts and Fern O'Brien, who rode the winner of this contest in 2023, takes a valuable 5lb off his back. Bangor third Gone In Sixty could make his presence felt once again, while Another Mystery drops in trip with a shout.
Although still a maiden, GONE IN SIXTY could easily have put that right last time at Bangor had the race panned out more favourably.

![]() Goin' |
(3) 50/1(0%) | (3) Goin' 50/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 2m1f at Killarney most recent; placed at Listed level in France prior; not proven trip; hard to recommend Two 1m4f wins in Germany and Listed-placed over 2m, always at the back on Irish debut. |
GENTLEMAN JOE has won both on the Flat and over hurdles and ran a cracker at Royal Ascot last year when only beaten about three lengths in fifth behind Belloccio in the Copper Horse Handicap over 1m6f. Lark In The Mornin won a two-year-old maiden here on debut but has generally been campaigned since over hurdles and won the Fred Winter at Cheltenham last year. Sorrentino won a Ballinrobe bumper in good style just over 12 months ago but is obviously not the easiest to train, while Colonia Victoria kept some good company on the Flat and comes here off the back of a maiden hurdle win at Cork.
This could be a good opportunity for maiden hurdle winner COLONIA VICTORIA who kept good company on the Flat in Germany

(16) 25/1(0%) | (16) Pressure's On 25/1, Beaten 9l in a handicap at Kempton last time where went too fast; significant jockey booking; C&D winner; vulnerable in this grade Capable off this mark and did a lot of early running before weakening last time at Kempton. |
PHYSIQUE finishing a determined second at Newmarket on only his third start for Pam Sly. The son of Kingman won a competitive handicap off this mark at Galway last term and is taken to resume winning ways at this lower level. Palmar Bay enters calculations on his solid third at Southwell in January, while Grand Karat could pose a threat having failed to get a clear run when fourth at Newcastle last time.
Competitive. THUNDER BLUE is tactically versatile and he returns to the AW after quite possibly needing the race at Chester.

(6) 66/1(0%) | (6) Ozark's Walk 66/1, Well beaten in a bumper here only start; could progress but all to do Tailed off in a bumper here in April when 50-1; huge step forward demanded. |
NADIA'S BOY won a point-to-point for Aidan Fitzgerald at Ballysteen last year and now makes his debut under Rules for the champion trainer. The selection is by Getaway out of a winning daughter of King's Theatre and market support would add to confidence. Gordon Elliott introduces Rapid Redemption and the Doyen gelding is from the family of two useful bumper performers, while Look And Sea is another interesting newcomer being out of the Montjeu mare Inquisitive Look who has already produced the smart Fiddlerontheroof and Ifiwerearichman. Diamond Tipp was runner-up three times in bumpers last year but disappointed here on her reappearance.
Nadia's Boy is of obvious interest but Gordon Elliott introduces a respected newcomer in RAPID REDEMPTION.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kracking |
(7) 14/1(+0%) | (7) Kracking 14/1, Raced freely when scoring by 3½l off 64 at Brighton three starts back; hasn't built on that; tailed off latest; enjoys forcing it Forceful front-runner; won well at Brighton in April but well beaten both starts since. |

![]() Dream Pirate |
(10) 15/2(+0%) | (10) Dream Pirate 15/2, Found trouble in running when beaten 3l off 67 at Kempton latest; better than bare result; may contend with clearer run It's pretty glaring that his three wins have all been on soft, latest over C&D in October. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Drumstick |
(9) 18/1(+0%) | (9) Drumstick 18/1, Below par at Newbury last time but could come on for it; hood reached for; significant jockey booking catches the eye 0-10; last of 13 when back on turf at Newbury (1m, good) 16 days ago; now tries a hood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cliffcake |
(6) 25/1(+0%) | (6) Cliffcake 25/1, Comfortably held in a Leicester handicap last time; hasn't been at best recently; something to find on recent form Three backward steps since 6f AW win; old effectiveness over 1m was not evident on latest. |

![]() Power Of Zeus |
(11) 33/1(+0%) | (11) Power Of Zeus 33/1, Appeared not to stay when beaten 9¼l over 7f at Newcastle; not firing lately; visor applied first time; stamina query remains Finished last on last four outings; off nearly three months and tries his first headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Intercessor |
(3) 40/1(+0%) | (3) Intercessor 40/1, Beaten 9l in a 9f handicap at Wolverhampton most recent; largely out of sorts of late; enjoys forcing the pace; bit to prove Left Newland/Insole stable; no tongue-tie or other headgear today, first time since 2021. |
A return to a mile worked a treat for PHONE TAG when landing the spoils at Pontefract in April. The form of that race has worked out reasonably well and the four-year-old may be able to defy a 2lb rise in the ratings. Sustained arrives on the back of a solid second at Wolverhampton and, off an unchanged mark, he's feared most on this switch to turf. Last-time-out winners Diddy Man and Rising Force are also noted.
Phone Tag and Diddy Man are second and third choices behind fellow last-time-out winner RISING FORCE.

![]() Night On Earth |
(7) 12/1(+0%) | (7) Night On Earth 12/1, Made too much use of fourth beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap over 6f at Kempton latest; enjoys making it; down in trip; others arrive in better form Useful pace-setter at 5f; below best of late; revival unlikely from this draw. |

![]() Nogo's Dream |
(1) 11/2(+15%) | (1) Nogo's Dream 11/2, Landed a handicap by a length off 74 at Windsor last time; C&D winner in spring; threat Very reliable over 5f; won sole C&D start but not so well drawn now; on career-high mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Fletcher's Flight |
(11) 16/1(0%) | (11) Fletcher's Flight 16/1, Slowly away beaten 9l in a handicap at Newmarket last time; top course jockey; career best needed to defy current rating Improved at 5f late last summer; 0-3 on AW; can start slowly which would spell danger here. |
The recent winners Nogo's Dream and Spring Is Sprung like to race prominently and should ensure a fast pace. However, that could set the race up nicely for AGOSTINO. Robert Cowell's sprinter has recorded all four of his victories so far at this venue, including his latest success when giving the strong impression there was more to come. He's taken to defy a 5lb rise.
Agostino looked in fine fettle here recently but DIAMOND DREAMER also impressed in his sole C&D start in March and is preferred.

(2) 8/1(+0%) | (2) My Margie 8/1, Raced freely when scored by a neck off 84 over 8f at Southwell penultimate start; sixth beaten 34l off 86 last time where failed to stay 10f; not proven trip; risky 4-5 on AW; ran poorly when upped to 1m2f on turf but remains unexposed over this trip. |

![]() Speriamo |
(5) 25/1(+0%) | (5) Speriamo 25/1, Below par comfortably held in a handicap over 12f at Newmarket last time; down in trip; C&D winner; others arrive in better form Won over C&D and at Wolverhampton in the autumn; yet to strike form this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wisper |
(3) 28/1(+0%) | (3) Wisper 28/1, Probably needed race beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap at Ascot last time; on long losing run but handicapper finally relenting; outside chance Ran okay on seasonal/stable debut; this is her first AW start since 2021. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() She's A Warrior |
(4) 11/2(0%) | (4) She's A Warrior 11/2, 3l third in a novice over 8f at Kempton most recent run under penalty; trainer in form; up in trip; in the mix off potentially lenient opening mark 1m maiden winner in September; open to improvement in handicaps this year. |
There was only a neck to separate Ciara Pearl (first) and BOWERCHALKE (second) when they met at Nottingham recently, and the latter is taken to overturn the form having challenged from a difficult position towards the rear on that occasion. The unexposed Likealot drops in class after a disappointing effort in Listed company at Newbury, while She's A Warrior has the potential to improve.
Her run in a Listed race last month didn't go to plan but LIKEALOT was an impressive C&D winner on her debut and still has potential.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Coppersmith |
(7) 12/1(+0%) | (7) Coppersmith 12/1, Ideally suited by trip when winning a novice at Wolverhampton over 9f by 2 1/4l last time; off a long absence; should show some improvement but may find this sharp enough test 2-2 for Charlie Johnston and unexposed; sold on for 8,000gns; absent 14 months. |

![]() Urban Sprawl |
(1) 14/1(+0%) | (1) Urban Sprawl 14/1, Well backed when landing a handicap by 4l off 81 at Lingfield last time; consistent; has never won off a mark this high but should be thereabouts Close up at York before justifying market confidence in a small field at Lingfield. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kalamunda |
(2) 18/1(+0%) | (2) Kalamunda 18/1, Slowly away beaten 2l off 85 at Lingfield last time; cheekpieces first time; consistent; needs decent pace to aim at but thereabouts if getting it Five AW wins; has continued to run well without looking ahead of the handicapper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Pitney |
(6) 66/1(+0%) | (6) Pitney 66/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 7f at Kempton most recent; usually consistent; up in trip; looks on stiff mark Dual winner for Hugo Palmer; 40-1 and never counted on stable debut at Kempton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Where's Freddy |
(11) 13/2(+7%) | (11) Where's Freddy 13/2, Slowly away beaten 3/4l off 77 here last time; top course jockey; off a short-break; steadily progressive; contender Only headed late on over C&D two months ago; solid chance off just 2lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ernie's Valentine |
(16) 28/1(+15%) | (16) Ernie's Valentine 28/1, Below par well beaten in a handicap over 7f at Yarmouth latest; up in trip; bit to find even off bottom weight Hopping yards during the last few months and was well beaten on his debut for this one. |
WHERE'S FREDDY has been in consistent form of late on the all-weather and this appeals as an ideal opportunity following a strong runner-up effort over C&D last time out. Raised 5lb for a comfortable success at Lingfield last month, Urban Sprawl must enter calculations, along with Be Frank, Mr Mistoffelees and Mr Swivell. The latter won readily at Yarmouth last time out.
The 5yo MR MISTOFFELEES is becoming frustrating but he goes in headgear this time and he'll appreciate a good gallop to chase.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
