![]() Colinski |
(7) 3/1(+0%) | (7) Colinski 3/1, Well beaten again in a novice over 10f at Windsor latest; cheekpieces first time; trainer in form; up in trip; yet to show any really worthwhile form Three heavy defeats at 1m2f; needs much more on handicap debut at 1m4f; check the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Love You Back |
(2) 10/3(+0%) | (2) Love You Back 10/3, Ran quite well on handicap debut despite racing freely beaten 6l over 10f at Newbury last time; hood first time should help and can rate more highly if will settle Quite promising handicap debut over 1m2f on comeback; already dropped 3lb; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Emily Rebecca |
(5) 10/3(+0%) | (5) Emily Rebecca 10/3, Well backed, ran to form beaten 2l off 55 over 10f at Leicester last time; that trip does seem to suit best and all runs on synthetics or sound surface, but consistent and on a fair mark Three good handicap runs over 1m2f; looks worth another go at 1m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Maundy Thursday |
(4) 12/1(+0%) | (4) Maundy Thursday 12/1, Up slightly in trip and best effort so far beaten 3l off 57 at Beverley last time; mark is a little stiff, but in solid form Vulnerable in 2 handicaps at about 1m4f but not far behind subsequent winners either time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() D Day Major Winter |
(6) 14/1(+0%) | (6) D Day Major Winter 14/1, Well beaten on handicap debut and possibly something amiss easing down when beaten 9 1/4l over 8f at Haydock; form on the whole is very hard to assess with any accuracy Minor handicap form over 1m last time; this trip is more in line with his pedigree. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sydney Whistler |
(10) 22/1(+0%) | (10) Sydney Whistler 22/1, Raced freely and below par again beaten 7 1/2l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; top course jockey; returning from a break; bit to prove now Promising handicap debut on AW (1m4f); not gone on since; now runs in first turf handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Argentum |
(9) 25/1(+0%) | (9) Argentum 25/1, First run in a handicap and about to form when fourth beaten 4l over 11f at Windsor latest off a mark of 53; down a pound here and can contend Minor earlier form but ran well for a long way on handicap debut (about 1m3f). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wootton Palace |
(1) 28/1(+0%) | (1) Wootton Palace 28/1, Stiff mark based on moderate maiden form and well below par on handicap debut up in trip over 10f at Salisbury latest; cheekpieces first time; may be better back over a mile Weak finish upped to 1m2f on h'cap debut; needs to show he has the firepower for new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Celtic Diligence |
(8) 28/1(+0%) | (8) Celtic Diligence 28/1, Workmanlike sort and looked slow comfortably held in a novice over 7f here last time and poor previous two starts; returning from a short-break; up in trip, which may well suit Hint of ability on debut over 1m; open to improvement now handicapping; trip query. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ta Craic Ann |
(3) 33/1(+0%) | (3) Ta Craic Ann 33/1, Made too much use and probably not stay comfortably held in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time over 12f; off a short-break; stamina to prove AW promise as 2yo; faded on handicap debut over 1m4f; has much to prove switched to turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bird About Town |
(12) 80/1(+0%) | (12) Bird About Town 80/1, Eased down as if something amiss in a handicap over 9f at Wolverhampton most recently; visor first time; returning from a break; no worthwhile form yet Prolific winning family; tailed off on handicap debut (1m, AW); best watched up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() It's Life |
(11) 17/2(-55%) | (11) It's Life 17/2, Best effort to date up to 12f when second beaten a neck in a classified race here latest; that form is questionable, but on the face of it looks well handicapped Modest handicap form but good effort in 1m4f AW classified latest; in-form claimer booked. |
Having posted her best effort to date when finishing a close-up second in classified company on the all-weather track here recently, IT'S LIFE could prove nicely treated reverting to a handicap. Bill Turner's filly may take some stopping if performing to a similar level and she edges the vote ahead of Love You Back. The son of Galiway posted an encouraging sixth on his handicap bow at Newbury last month. Emily Rebecca is also noted.
The market will help sort things out with these mostly unexposed 3yos but LOVE YOU BACK shaped quite nicely at Newbury and is preferred.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Amber Honey |
(5) 3/1(+0%) | (5) Amber Honey 3/1, Scored by 4l off 49 over 9f at Wolverhampton penultimate start; excuses when well backed fourth beaten 11l off 55 last time; down in trip; threat Had little go right when forced wide at Ripon last time; drops to 7f and she's a contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Aim For The Bull |
(6) 9/2(+0%) | (6) Aim For The Bull 9/2, Raced freely when bumped at start, fourth beaten 10l in a handicap at Leicester latest; in good form prior; contender Posted two good efforts on AW after being gelded; beaten around 10l when fourth last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Castellina |
(8) 10/1(+0%) | (8) Castellina 10/1, Going probably on fast side comfortably held in a handicap over 6f at Lingfield last time; not far away prior at Chelmsford; up in trip; not out of it, but needs to improve Encouraging effort on handicap debut at Chelmsford; likely had an excuse latest; up to 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Claim That Smile |
(3) 16/1(+0%) | (3) Claim That Smile 16/1, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap over 6f at Windsor latest; up in trip to 7f for the first time; more needed Has failed to progress from a promising debut; steps up to 7f with better needed.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Black Falcon |
(7) 16/1(+0%) | (7) Black Falcon 16/1, Below par well beaten in a handicap at Chelmsford latest; usually consistent; returning from a break; significant jockey booking; eased 3lb; outside chance Moderate form in her first three runs and was beaten 16l on handicap debut 118 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dance Recital |
(1) 22/1(+0%) | (1) Dance Recital 22/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap at Wolverhampton most recent; in good form prior; blinkers first time; interesting on turf debut Failed to beat a rival home over 7f at Wolverhampton last time; blinkers on for turf debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() College Witch |
(9) 50/1(+0%) | (9) College Witch 50/1, Going probably on fast side well beaten in a handicap over 6f at Redcar latest; generally out of form; hood first time; up in trip; bit to find Well beaten on her last three starts; back up to 7f with the hood added.. |
A respectable third at Brighton last time out in the bid for the double, MAKES ME WONDER should appreciate a return to this track, having won here over 1m on his penultimate outing. David Simcock's charge is preferred to Aim For The Bull, who was never involved when fourth at Leicester most recently but is better judged on his previous second at Chelmsford. Castellina is another to consider for the in-form James Fanshawe team, as well as Amber Honey.
Amber Honey had little go right at Ripon last time but MAKES ME WONDER is taken to add to his course win over a mile here in April.

![]() Appier |
(5) 5/1(+0%) | (5) Appier 5/1, Ran about to best beaten 3/4l off 78 here last time; visor first time; usually held up; in decent form and may contend Habitual slow starter but a danger to all should a visor have the desired effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kitty Furnival |
(1) 7/2(+0%) | (1) Kitty Furnival 7/2, Well backed, not the best trip and may have been a fraction closer beaten 3l off 87 over 1m6f at Chelmsford last time; effective 10-14f and on easy ground; in very good form, but does hang left under pressure Not beaten far over 1m6f at Chelmsford and this is more her trip by the looks. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Way Of Life |
(2) 11/4(+0%) | (2) Way Of Life 11/4, Ran to best when beaten a head off 83 last time up 2lb from Kempton win; trainer and horse in excellent form and contender Most wins on the AW but he's in form, just missing out at Kempton two weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Midnight Rumble |
(4) 14/1(+0%) | (4) Midnight Rumble 14/1, Below form up in trip on return to the Flat beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap at Kempton last time; top course jockey; stiff mark and sole win over 10f (stays 2m over hurdles) He's finished last on his final two runs (hurdle/AW) and has been off since March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sportingsilvermine |
(3) 15/8(+0%) | (3) Sportingsilvermine 15/8, Well backed, didn't quite stay 14f when fourth beaten 9 1/4l off 81 last time; drop in trip a positive; does like fast ground Maiden in Ireland but has hit the ground running for this yard; excuses last time. |
Sportingsilvermine's stamina appeared stretched when stepped up in distance at Newmarket last time out and this drop back in distance should see him in a better light. Regardless, WAY OF LIFE arrives on the back of a close-up second in a class 3 event at Kempton and, switching to turf, he rates as the one to beat off just 2lb higher. Appier is also worth considering sporting a first-time visor.
First-time headgear has to be worth a go on habitual slow-starter APPIER and he's worth chancing.

![]() Abloom |
(2) 6/1(+0%) | (2) Abloom 6/1, Yard has won 2 of last 4 runnings of race; had benefited for debut experience beaten 4l in a maiden at Chester last time; more needed Second run was better than her debut; each-way claims granted further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Chinkara |
(3) 13/8(+0%) | (3) Chinkara 13/8, In need of the experience 4 1/4l third in a novice over 8f at Windsor most recent run; trainer in form; back in trip for the first time over 7f; the pick on balance of form Useful form in two 1m turf runs this year; sets the standard; new trip and ground today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cocooned |
(4) 80/1(+0%) | (4) Cocooned 80/1, Had benefited for debut experience beaten 9l in a novice over 6f here last time; modest debut prior; up in trip; plenty more needed Modest form in two runs last month; one for handicaps after this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Making Moves |
(9) 80/1(+0%) | (9) Making Moves 80/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 1m at Chelmsford only start, failing to beat a rival; back in trip; all to do Well-beaten 40-1 shot on last month's Chelmsford debut (1m); not easily recommended. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Lady Of Alaska |
(8) 100/1(+0%) | (8) Lady Of Alaska 100/1, Slowly away down the field in a maiden at Kempton most recent; similar level on debut; all to do Down the field in two 7f runs this spring; one for handicaps after this. |
CHINKARA has shown enough pace over further the last twice in valuable contests that dropping to 7f could be just what is needed to see her break the maiden at the fourth time of asking. A well-bred daughter of Pinatubo, Heart Of Eternity should be monitored for market support on debut for leading connections, whereas Abloom is another open to improvement on a more conventional track, having met trouble in running at Chester last time out.
Chinkara sets the standard but she faces a different test today and Godolphin's HEART OF ETERNITY can make a winning debut.

![]() Saxon Land |
(4) 4/1(+0%) | (4) Saxon Land 4/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Naas most recent run; well below best when last seen on the Flat in October and seems to have lost form Reasons for optimism rest with the move to James Owen who excels with new recruits. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sydney Seabreeze |
(1) 5/1(+0%) | (1) Sydney Seabreeze 5/1, Back to form beaten 4l off 59 over 2m here last time; down in trip, but effective 14f; consistent sort and contender Ten-race maiden but runner-up in two of his last three races and he's a proven stayer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sawgrass |
(7) 7/2(+0%) | (7) Sawgrass 7/2, Beaten favourite again, but ran to form when beaten 3l off 53 over 12f at Beverley last time; top course jockey; up in trip, which could be interesting and seems in good heart Placed at 1m4f and this lightly raced filly could have improvement lurking over this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Yarborough |
(6) 11/1(+0%) | (6) Yarborough 11/1, Below par fourth beaten 15l in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Fontwell latest and probably needed the race after a break when well beaten most recent Flat run; cheekpieces first time; bit to prove Respected on one piece of form; below that after an absence; now tries cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() The Colorist |
(2) 12/1(+0%) | (2) The Colorist 12/1, Below par back up in trip beaten 3 1/4l off 59 over 2m here last time; doesn't seem to stay 2m and the drop back in trip a positive; on a very attractive mark Has been in competitive form on the AW; that's his scene but has only raced once on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Charles Morin |
(9) 12/1(+0%) | (9) Charles Morin 12/1, Fair effort down substantially in trip back from hurdling beaten 7l in a handicap over 10f at Windsor latest; may need 12f+ now Ran okay from a bad position at Windsor (1m2f) and he's worth a go over this far. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Easy Equation |
(10) 12/1(+0%) | (10) Easy Equation 12/1, Probably needed race fourth beaten 9l in a handicap over 2m at Southwell latest; down in trip; returning from a break; has been on a stiff mark, much reduced now Three 2m wins but below par so far for current yard and now back from another break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Incan Empire |
(5) 13/2(+0%) | (5) Incan Empire 13/2, Better effort fitted with a tongue-tie beaten 2 1/2l off 55 over 12f at Leicester last time; trainer in form; still has something to prove, but mark has fallen a lot Off a reduced mark he was only 2.5l away in the first-time tongue-tie at Leicester. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Black Smoke |
(8) 15/2(+0%) | (8) Black Smoke 15/2, Ran to form and game beaten 2l off 53 at Wolverhampton last time; off a short-break; consistent; the solid choice Saves his best for Wolverhampton and others appeal more on this belated return to turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Blenheim Lad |
(3) 20/1(+0%) | (3) Blenheim Lad 20/1, Back to form second start off a break fourth beaten 5l in a handicap over 2m here latest; drop in trip shouldn't be an issue; in the mix Dual Southwell winner; came from well behind to be a closing fourth here 13 days ago. |
Having bounced back with a good second on the all-weather track here last month, SYDNEY SEABREEZE may be worth chancing on this change of surface. The Cloth Of Stars gelding is having only his second outing on turf and looks more than capable of scoring at this level. The Colorist shares a similar profile to the selection and may serve the most resistance, while the in-form Sawgrass is another to bear in mind.
The 4yo SAXON LAND showed flashes of promise on the Flat in Ireland and James Owen can work wonders with new recruits.

(1) 3/1(+0%) | (1) Dark Dreamer 3/1, Ran to form beaten 3l off 64 at Chelmsford last time; good run at same track over 7f prior; returns to turf for first time in 11 months; in the mix Two promising runs at Chelmsford this spring; effective on turf; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Rhythmic Acclaim |
(6) 4/1(+0%) | (6) Rhythmic Acclaim 4/1, Did not get a clear run when slowly away and beaten 1 1/2l off 62 here last time; goes well here; well handicapped; threat Conditions no problem and had excuses here last time; drops into a Class 6; contender. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Shibuya Storm |
(9) 8/1(+0%) | (9) Shibuya Storm 8/1, Probably needed race beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap at Bath last time; generally out of form; trainer in form; given a chance back down in grade Yet to make a big impact in handicaps; others bring more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Perianth |
(7) 9/1(+0%) | (7) Perianth 9/1, Ran to form beaten 3l off 62 over 7f at Doncaster last time; down in trip; only win has come in testing conditions; shortlisted Reappearance (7f) was encouraging; drop in trip should suit; not fully exposed yet. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Papa Cocktail |
(4) 9/2(+0%) | (4) Papa Cocktail 9/2, Below par comfortably held in a handicap over 5f at Carlisle last time; went close over 6f prior; should improve back up in trip; could figure Near miss at Redcar last month; latest run easy to excuse; drying ground will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Master Dandy |
(3) 10/1(+0%) | (3) Master Dandy 10/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a handicap over 1m at Lingfield latest; down in trip; significant jockey booking; more needed, but the return to 6f looks a plus Two 6f AW wins for J Fanshawe; quiet for C Clover in 2025; makes stable debut off low mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Coolagh Magic |
(8) 14/1(+0%) | (8) Coolagh Magic 14/1, Fourth beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap over 5f at Brighton latest; up in trip; not out of it, but vulnerable to improvers Two 5f AW wins in February; good second here in April; not a best at Brighton latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jimmy Knocker |
(2) 25/1(+0%) | (2) Jimmy Knocker 25/1, Below par beaten 7l in a handicap at Southwell last time; generally out of form; off a short-break; bit to find Not build on his AW win in January; returns to turf after three months off; risky. |
A tentative vote goes to RHYTHMIC ACCLAIM, who drops in class having been unlucky when repeatedly short of room over C&D last month. The five-year-old is 4lb below her last winning mark and that may be enough to see off Perianth, who caught the eye on her return when travelling well over further at Doncaster before finishing a creditable fourth. Court Of Session and Dark Dreamer are entitled to be thereabouts as well.
The drop to 6f in a race where there isn't much pace on could see COURT OF SESSION enhance his trainer's fine record in this race.

![]() Eightthreeone |
(1) 4/1(+0%) | (1) Eightthreeone 4/1, Knew job and solid effort on debut, but raced too freely beaten 8l in a maiden over 6f at Bath second start; drop in trip may help and action suggests will want soft ground ideally Second to a well-regarded newcomer on Bath debut; raced too freely next time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sinj |
(8) 4/1(+0%) | (8) Sinj 4/1, Well backed and backed up promising debut effort with another good run when second beaten 2 1/2l in a maiden at Chepstow latest; potential threat Speedy in both races at Chepstow, finishing just over 2l off the winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Greek Gold |
(5) 9/1(+0%) | (5) Greek Gold 9/1, Couple of modest efforts, latest beaten 6l in a maiden over 6f at Redcar; trainer in form; down in trip; needs to improve Backward step last time and even his debut form doesn't look good enough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wateen |
(10) 9/4(+0%) | (10) Wateen 9/4, Promise debut and showed bags of speed coming clear with winner when second beaten 3/4l in a maiden at Doncaster second start; useful sprint prospect and will be hard to beat Second at Ayr on debut and seemed to improve when filling the same spot at Doncaster. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Henrythenate |
(3) 33/1(+0%) | (3) Henrythenate 33/1, Workmanlike sort and looked very moderate on poor debut, but much better last time beaten 5 1/2l third in a maiden at Wolverhampton; will need plenty more to win this though Well beaten at Newmarket and was over 5l off the winner at Wolverhampton; has to step up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dawn Melody |
(11) 100/1(+0%) | (11) Dawn Melody 100/1, Beaten 10l in a novice at Salisbury on debut; should improve for that experience, but difficult to fancy 200-1 when trailing in last at Salisbury 18 days ago and couldn't recommend after that. |
WATEEN has experience on her side and the daughter of Profitable can break alertly to adopt a useful early position. Others would need to step forward on what they've shown to date, so this looks a good opportunity to break the maiden. Starman colt Enter Sandman is related to a couple of useful types and warrants a market check ahead of his racecourse bow. Eightthreeone may have found his second outing a quick enough turnaround and his debut effort looks a truer representation of his ability.
The filly WATEEN has just about shown the most of those with experience and hopefully conditions will dry out.

(3) 8/1(+0%) | (3) Bust A Moon 8/1, Raced freely 10l third in a claimer over 7f at Leicester most recent run; drop in trip a plus; winner at Beverley over 5f last month; should be thereabouts Pulled hard over 7f latest; major player on earlier 5f form; stable debut today. |

![]() Speed Of Maajid |
(5) 9/2(+0%) | (5) Speed Of Maajid 9/2, Probably needed race beaten 7l in a novice at Wolverhampton last time; no match for smart-looking winner in final start of 2024 on turf; significant jockey booking; in the mix Hint of ability the last twice; makes handicap debut at a modest level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Early Release |
(8) 9/2(+0%) | (8) Early Release 9/2, Below par beaten 9l in a handicap at Redcar last time; close second despite not getting a clear run prior at Windsor; visor first time; contender 6f win on stable debut in December; below par latest but strong contender if a visor works. |

![]() Commendation |
(4) 11/1(+0%) | (4) Commendation 11/1, Below par beaten 4l off 64 at Southwell last time; top jockey back on board; best form on AW; each-way shout Dangerous mark and B Loughnane an interesting booking; bit to prove on turf though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Mollymook |
(2) 16/1(+0%) | (2) Mollymook 16/1, Weak in the market well beaten in a novice over 6f at Lingfield latest; generally out of form; down in trip; returning from a break; may need this Yet to build on her promising debut effort in three runs since; risky on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Money Pockets |
(6) 20/1(+0%) | (6) Money Pockets 20/1, Slowly away beaten 6 1/4l in a novice at Wolverhampton last time; usually consistent; yet to encounter any good ground; shortlisted Unexposed handicap debutante; the betting should provide clues but she has plenty of pace. |
ONE FOR HARVEY is the safest option despite going up 5lb for last month's cosy win at Nottingham. However, the forecast going creates enough concern to suggest a market check on a few of the others would be prudent. Bust A Moon handles some give in the ground and might be the one to capitalise if the selection's turn of foot is hindered by a slower surface. Early Release is also noteworthy with a visor added, while Commendation could have a say from a competitive rating.
Early Release has a visor added and is of some interest but ONE FOR HARVEY (nap) could be capable of further progress at 5f.

![]() Deira Storm |
(4) 4/1(+0%) | (4) Deira Storm 4/1, Probably needed race beaten 8l in a novice over 7f at Kempton on seasonal debut after very promising run at 2yo; up in trip; likely to do better Did well to finish a close second on AW debut over 7f: never sighted latest; can improve. |

![]() Fulford Cross |
(8) 6/1(+0%) | (8) Fulford Cross 6/1, Weak in the betting, slowly away and good late gains when beaten a head in a maiden over 7f at Kempton only start; returning from a short-break; up in trip and sprint bred, but green debut and open to marked progress Caught the eye with fast-finishing 2nd on AW debut (7f) in February; looks sure to improve. |

(1) 9/2(+0%) | (1) Wattani 9/2, Small; got a good run through, game effort to collar long-time leader late on when a neck winner in a novice over 7f at Ayr on debut; returning from long layoff; may need refresher Collared the front-runner near the line on Ayr debut (7f) last July but not seen since. |

(6) 9/2(+0%) | (6) Abundance 9/2, Three good efforts, 2 1/2l third in a novice over 7f at Newbury most recently; steadily progressive; up in trip; contender Has run well all three starts, particularly at Newbury (7f) last time; good form chance. |

![]() I Can Imagine |
(9) 33/1(+0%) | (9) I Can Imagine 33/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a novice over 10f at Goodwood most recent run and below par previous start after three good runs in Irish maidens; bit to prove in UK Experienced maiden; comes into it on best Irish form; had excuses in Britain. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Maximising |
(5) 50/1(+0%) | (5) Maximising 50/1, Modest effort on debut beaten 9l in a novice over 7f at Kempton; up in trip; can improve, but plenty more needed 66-1 for 7f Kempton AW debut, shaping quite nicely without seriously threatening. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Praise Indeed |
(10) 80/1(+0%) | (10) Praise Indeed 80/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 7f at Kempton only start; tongue-tie first time; up in trip; hard to recommend 33-1 for AW debut over 7f and failed to beat a rival; now tongue tied. |
Although TSUKI was unable to follow up on her Goodwood debut success when filling the runner-up spot at Haydock latest, the winner has since been allocated an official rating of 90 and there wouldn't appear to be anything of that calibre in this line-up. William Haggas' filly should face a strong challenge from Abundance, though, who arrives on the back of a solid third at Newbury. Wattani hasn't been seen since his Ayr debut success last summer but should be monitored in the betting.
This can go to ABUNDANCE who is going the right way and probably has slightly less to do today than at Newbury last time out.

![]() Signcastle City |
(1) 11/4(+0%) | (1) Signcastle City 11/4, Did not get a clear run beaten 3/4l off 86 over 7f at Chelmsford last time; up in trip; three time winner on turf last term; consistent; the one to beat Knocking on the door in four starts this year; almost certain to be in the mix again. |

![]() Man Of Desert |
(7) 12/1(+0%) | (7) Man Of Desert 12/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 10f at York most recent; usually consistent; can do better down in trip; place squeak Standout run came when third over C&D last month; return to this venue needs to lift him. |

(4) 14/1(+0%) | (4) Rogue Encore 14/1, Beaten 9l in a handicap over 10f at Lingfield last time; better form on AW; down in trip; significant jockey booking; off a short-break; likely to need this Patchy form this year; drop back to this trip looks a plus but others are more persuasive. |

![]() Atlantic Gamble |
(8) 28/1(+0%) | (8) Atlantic Gamble 28/1, Below par beaten 8l in a handicap at Sandown last time; generally out of form this year after ending last term with a double; cheekpieces first time; bit to find Not fired in three runs this term; handicapper's starting to relent and cheekpieces go on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wintercrack |
(5) 33/1(+0%) | (5) Wintercrack 33/1, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap over 10f at Ripon latest; down in trip; off a short-break; probably wants cut; needs to improve Mud-loving mare who won her only start over this trip; needs rain, which isn't forecast. |
Royal Velvet's Newmarket success reads well and she looks a key player with Cieren Fallon retaining the ride, while the unexposed Believe The Storm could kick on now he tackles handicaps, with his opening rating of 83 appearing to be a fair assessment at this stage. However, SIGNCASTLE CITY has been knocking on the door in four starts this season and reverting to a mile could be just the ticket as Richard Hannon's reliable five-year-old's bids to get back to winning ways.
There are reasons to think BELIEVE THE STORM can improve again up to this trip and he's taken to make a winning turf and handicap debut.

(8) 33/1(+0%) | (8) Share The Treasure 33/1, Slowly away comfortably held in a handicap over 8f at Gowran Park last time where left with too much to do; generally out of form; usually held up; up in trip; difficult to fancy Placed only once, makes little appeal now that her rating has slipped into the low-40s. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() La Tulipe Noire |
(13) 33/1(+0%) | (13) La Tulipe Noire 33/1, Ran to form fourth beaten 9l in a claimer over 9f at Tipperary latest; not proven trip; plenty more needed to defy even this basement mark AW winner, not disgraced when fourth at 33-1 in a recent 1m1f claimer at Tipperary. |
GRACESOLUTION has good recent form and is ideally suited by these conditions. A three-time career winner over middle-distances, she is an eight-year-old but has been holding her form well. 10-year-old Magnetic North is a 12-time winner who debuts for new connections, having shown good form in Britain in April. He too is suited by this distance but concedes plenty of weight to the selection. Solomon is noted too.
10lb clainer Shane Markey, has good prospects of recording a breakthrough success on the consistent GRACESOLUTION

![]() Dark Sun |
(5) 50/1(+0%) | (5) Dark Sun 50/1, Poor effort handicap debut second run after a wind operation beaten 10l over 6f at Windsor last time; wellbeing to prove Well-beaten 40-1 shot on last month's stable/handicap debut; likely best watched again. |
Classy Clarets did well to get up at Wolverhampton having blown the start but, although respected, he has more to prove on turf than DAISY ROOTS. The mare has been inching closer to a first success for Jim Boyle, most recently when beaten a neck at Windsor last month, and can be rewarded for her consistency. Bella Taslina was unable to justify market support on her seasonal return at Brighton but could step forward.
Bella Taslina could step forward from her stable debut but this may be the day things fall into place for DAISY ROOTS (nap).

![]() We'renotreallyhere |
(6) 4/1(-14%) | (6) We'renotreallyhere 4/1, Won a handicap at Brighton by a nose last time; not the most consistent, but that win could spark run of form; in the mix Dead-heated at Brighton last time and that's the best recent form on offer; big player. |
Having dead-heated and shared the spoils in a handicap at Brighton last month, WE'RENOTREALLYHERE ticks plenty of the right boxes reverting to classified company. A similar performance from Daniel Steele's gelding may prove sufficient and he shades the vote over Lambournghini. The three-year-old posted her best effort to date when runner-up on her handicap bow at Ripon 13 days ago and she isn't taken lightly. Banksman is the pick of the remainder.
It's tempting to side with one of the 3yos and BANKSMAN went very close last time. He can land a first success.

![]() Kodi's Angel |
(10) 18/1(-13%) | (10) Kodi's Angel 18/1, Wide trip beaten 6l in a handicap over 7f at Fairyhouse last time; generally out of form; up in trip; bit to find to defy stiff looking mark Has failed to build on a debut second, first time beyond 1m, not sure she to stay this far. |
FAIRE LA NOUBA's fascinating Chester Vase form was boosted in the Derby on Saturday and he might build on that display. The selection showed ability in handicaps last season and doesn't have Lambourn to contend with here. Edergole's Angel has proven handicap form but, interestingly, is held by the selection on Naas form last September. Ranting And Raven, Flying Fortress and Enziya have useful recent form too.
An improved run at Killarney gives RANTING AND RAVEN (nap) a strong chance of going one place better with the help of a 7lb claim.

![]() Indigo Times |
(5) 20/1(+0%) | (5) Indigo Times 20/1, Probably needed race beaten 8 1/2l in a handicap over CD last time in January 2024; usually held up; CD winner; well-weighted if wound up for return off long absence 8yo who returns after another long absence and is probably best watched. |
The hat-trick seeking Green Team is sure to prove popular in his current heart and another bold bid looks likely. However, a 2lb nudge up in the ratings and switch to Polytrack demand more from Ian Williams' charge. With that in mind, it could be worth chancing MOEL ARTHUR, who was denied a clear run and lost all chance when finishing seventh over C&D last month. Zivaniya is also noted on the back of a 127-day break.
It might be worth sticking with GREEN TEAM, who battled well for his two wins in March and looks worth another try at this trip.

A switch to handicaps and step up in trip saw an improved performance from DOCTOR DAUILA when finishing second at Chepstow 12 days ago. The daughter of Dream Ahead makes grand appeal on this entry into classified company and a breakthrough victory could be imminent. Fire Eyes arrives on the back of runner-up effort on the all-weather and is feared most, ahead of the consistent Match Anthem.
It's worth siding with one of the unexposed runners and DOCTOR DAUILA, a creditable second on her recent handicap debut, fits the bill.

VALOROUS POWER contested a useful maiden last month and can put his experience to good use. He made the running at the Curragh before eventually tiring behind able types and, dropping in distance, he can again race prominently and score. Naples' yard operates at a high strike-rate and while gelded ahead of his debut, his winning dam hails from a smart family. Daler is tried in a first-time tongue-tie and is also considered.
In an open race, Slight preference is for VALOROUS POWER who can build on a recent Curragh fourth

![]() Star Of Life |
(7) 10/1(+0%) | (7) Star Of Life 10/1, 11l fourth in a novice over 6f at Ripon first-time out; up in trip; the only contender with any experience but will likely need to step up markedly Finished a remote fourth of six at Ripon and needs a transformation upped in trip. |
Star Of Life has the benefit of race experience after finishing fourth on her debut at Ripon 13 days ago, but there are some intriguing newcomers on show that could have her measure. Top of the bill is MISS HONEY, a half-sister to Tremorgio, and today's 7f distance looks a good starting point for the daughter of Too Darn Hot. Ibshara boasts enough speed in her pedigree to suggest that she could emerge as a threat too.
There's not much to go but at this stage IBSHARA gets the vote ahead of Miss Honey.

![]() Sylkie |
(7) 33/1(+0%) | (7) Sylkie 33/1, Below par well beaten in a handicap over 10f at Ballinrobe latest; down in trip; still looks high enough in weights; Galway likely target Won three races at Galway last season, in rear on both starts this year, best watched. |
BELLAPHINA hasn't run for 49 days but returns to a course where she won her maiden in 2023. Ground-versatile, she showed nice form at Gowran in April having met trouble in running. Another previous course winner, Anvika failed to win at Dundalk last winter but ran well on her recent reappearance. Recent hurdles winner Expound is an able Flat performer and cannot be overlooked.
Better ground should suit course winner BELLAPHINA who made a pleasing seasonal debut in testing conditions that were not ideal

![]() Bernie The Bear |
(7) 28/1(+0%) | (7) Bernie The Bear 28/1, Below par down the field in a handicap at Ayr most recent; better form on AW; inconsistent; bit to find even off this basement mark Patchy record on turf, on which he's 0-14, and is without a win since December 2023. |
The well-handicapped Ignac Lamar won with something in hand over C&D last month and is likely to give another bold showing off just 4lb higher. However, there is also a lot to like about the chance held by TOMMYTWOHOOTS, who is back on his last winning mark and could offer a little more value, with Stephanie Dorey claiming 5lb in the saddle. Angel Of The Bay and Newyorkstateofmind are other attractively-weighted options to consider.
The in-form IGNAC LAMAR has the assistance of Simon Walker and can follow up last month's C&D win. The Cola Brasil is feared.

Having finished third on both outings to date, SILENT LOVE makes grand appeal on this ease into class 5 company. The daughter of Dubawi should have little issue with this switch to Polytrack and a breakthrough victory may beckon. The most resistance may be served by Cloaks Of Gold, who arrives on the back of a third-placed debut at Salisbury, while newcomers El Megeeth and Most Marvellous require market checks.
The three year old SILENT LOVE sets the standard and could take some beating if able to hold or build on her turf form.

Last of 14 at the halfway point, DRAGON OF MALTA made good late headway to finish sixth on his most recent outing at Down Royal. Back up to a mile now and with Colin Keane retaining the ride, the locally trained eight-year-old should give a good account of himself. Already twice successful this season and beaten by just a neck at Gowran last month, Harry The Rogue is sure to have plenty of supporters in this competitive heat, with Tofino another of definite interest. The only three-year-old in the line-up, the Gavin Cromwell-trained latter looks capable of making her presence felt. Dual C&D winner Church Mountain, Kieran Cotter's Martinelli and the returning Kinda Tiny are others for the shortlist.
Upped in grade HARRY THE ROGUE can continue his progression

![]() Better And Better |
(1) 5/4(+0%) | (1) Better And Better 5/4, Travelled strongly when runner up over 5f on debut at stiff track; leading claims up in trip with improvement likely Went close at 20-1 on recent debut at Carlisle and he holds leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Try Storm Cat |
(2) 7/4(+0%) | (2) Try Storm Cat 7/4, Given fine ride from front when placed over 6f on fast ground on debut; stiff track should suit; can run well Promising third on debut at Pontefract; open to improvement; could have big part to play. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Muddy Nora |
(6) 50/1(+0%) | (6) Muddy Nora 50/1, Never figured when beating only 1 home over 5f on debut; big step forward needed stepped up in trip From in-form yard but she was always behind at 80-1 on debut at Redcar (5f, good) in April. |
Better And Better and TRY STORM CAT look the pair to focus on after both made promising debuts. The former outran odds of 20/1 to finish a close second over 5f at Carlisle and should be capable of more now he steps up in trip. However, Try Storm Cat's third-placed finish over 6f at Pontefract gives him an edge in terms of proven stamina and Charlie Johnston's colt edges a narrow vote. Welbury and Snaafy are interesting newcomers to monitor in the betting.
Two of these have already shown considerable promise and BETTER AND BETTER is preferred ahead of Try Storm Cat.

![]() Landing Board |
(14) 40/1(+0%) | (14) Landing Board 40/1, Comfortably held in a novice over 10f at Salisbury last time; not proven trip, likely need further; significant jockey booking; squeak on debut run but looks flattered by that, lot to prove Unexposed 4yo but he needs a transformation back in trip on handicap debut. |

![]() Double Time |
(13) 50/1(+0%) | (13) Double Time 50/1, Made too much use of well beaten in a handicap over 7f at Chepstow latest; generally out of form; CD winner; wide draw; lot to prove Has won over C&D and is well handicapped on old form but he needs a major revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Walson's Law |
(3) 9/4(+50%) | (3) Walson's Law 9/4, Suited by fast ground when landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off 69 at Windsor last time on season debut; first time on Polytrack; not the most consistent but still progressing, major player Improved form for new yard when forging clear at Windsor; major player again under penalty. |
A taking winner on his first start for new connections at Windsor recently, WALSON'S LAW looks capable of upholding form with the reopposing Newfangled (second), despite having a 5lb penalty to carry. Ombrecell did it well when just getting up to score over C&D last month, on both handicap debut and his first outing for the Chris Gordon team. He is likely to be thereabouts again, along with the unexposed Dubai Beach, who may be fairly treated off a mark of 70.
Top of the list is the lightly raced 4yo WALSON'S LAW (nap), who found plenty of progress when scoring on his stable debut at Windsor.

![]() Celtic Druid |
(12) 40/1(+0%) | (12) Celtic Druid 40/1, Below par beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap at Roscommon last time; in poor form; needs to improve to defy even this basement mark Didn't run too badly in first-time visor at Roscommon last time; 3lb wrong here. |

![]() Hell Left Loose |
(13) 66/1(+0%) | (13) Hell Left Loose 66/1, Beaten 9l in a handicap at Listowel last time; form going the wrong way; more needed Missed all of last season and plenty to find on two runs thus far this term. |
Akeela and Katie Ross start off for Ian Donoghue and Gavin Cromwell respectively and both are of definite interest. Bought out of a claimer at Gowran last month, the former is tried in a first-time hood and tongue-tie, with Dylan Browne McMonagle a significant jockey booking. For a selection, ZARAAHMANDO gets the nod. A never-nearer fifth of 20 when last seen at Naas in April, he looks capable of making his presence felt off a revised mark of 53. Top-weight Cherry Pink finished behind the selection in that Naas contest, but has been in great form since. Chou Chou warrants respect with Colin Keane aboard.
Top-weight Cherry Pink demands respect but preference is for the less exposed 3yo ZARAAHMANDO

![]() Orient Lad |
(2) 150/1(+0%) | (2) Orient Lad 150/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability; slow starts a serious issue; up in trip; all to do and looks one for low grade handicaps Massive odds and well beaten last autumn on his first two starts (1m/7f, AW). |
VALIANCY showed the benefit of a run when he finished a close second to an odds-on favourite at Haydock 12 days ago. The son of Cracksman is an attractive proposition turned out quickly for a yard that wouldn't have many runners at this venue, but William Haggas seems to have found a good opening for the Newmarket raider to get off the mark at the third time of asking. Elsass and Canavan are suggested as the pair most likely to fill the places behind the selection.
William Haggas won this last year and has another leading contender in VALIANCY, who is taken to get off the mark.

![]() Hello Zaman |
(2) 15/2(+0%) | (2) Hello Zaman 15/2, Raced freely beaten 4 1/2l on handicap debut at Newcastle last time; progressing nicely prior; off a short-break; conditions suit; bit to prove after recent blip but player back on Polytrack 6f Polytrack win in January; not obviously ahead of this mark though and he's drawn wide. |

![]() Megaphone |
(5) 16/1(+0%) | (5) Megaphone 16/1, Seemed to be on stiff mark beaten 9l in a handicap at Chester last time; showed greater promise in novice/maiden company but failed to fire in three handicap runs, bit to prove Two AW wins over the winter (including C&D); no progress in three handicaps as yet. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Habari |
(11) 28/1(+0%) | (11) Habari 28/1, Ran to form beaten 2l off 72 over 8f at Dundalk last time; returning from a break; back in trip for UK/stable debut, may help; bit to prove at trip but chance if improving for it Four runs over 1m in Ireland; still has potential but drop to 6f a query on stable debut. |
This can go the way of PERSIAN SPIRIT, who was a respectable fourth on handicap debut at Haydock last time out, but is best judged on her penultimate success over C&D. The daughter of Invincible Spirit gets the vote ahead of Lingfield fourth Backspin, and Aparajeo, who drops in grade on his return, having contested the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood when last seen.
An interesting race in which C&D winner BEAUTY NATION can build on her recent promising effort at Chester.

IN THE MINUS was the subject of a gamble when fifth at Dundalk in March and while failing to make an impact in two subsequent starts, he put in an improved performance when last seen at Naas in April. Sixth of 20 at the Tipper Road venue, he has since dropped to a career-low mark of 52 and it'll be disappointing if he's not involved at the business end. Beaten just three-quarters of a length into second at Listowel, it'll come as no surprise if Dinamine manages to go a place better, while it'll be interesting to see how Haeret In Pectore fares with Colin Keane aboard.
Denied a clear run at Down Royal last time, MERCHANTS ARCH is now taken to get off the mark with his rider now taking off 3lb

![]() Lady Celia |
(5) 16/1(+0%) | (5) Lady Celia 16/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 6f at Newcastle most recent; generally out of form; trainer in form; down in trip; likes the track; back below last winning mark; plenty to prove Won off 2lb higher over C&D last July; not written off but well beaten on sole run in 2025. |
On target over C&D last month before filling the runner-up spot when attempting to follow up here last Thursday, PARISIAC looks to have outstanding claims once again. A few of these, including Winged Messenger and Digital find themselves well handicapped, but Iain Jardine's in-form six-year-old can prove too strong - especially with Mohammed Tabti removing a handy 5lb. Wrestling Revenue can't be overlooked either.
This can go to PARISIAC (nap), who has been in good form over C&D the last twice. Winged Messenger may be the chief danger.

(1) 15/2(+0%) | (1) Lady Odette 15/2, Raced freely beaten 5l in a handicap over CD last time; consistent; cheekpieces first time; significant jockey booking; can build on latest, in the mix Improved in each of her first three runs; held on handicap debut over C&D; cheekpieces on. |
All of these have questions to answer and perhaps the betting market will produce a few significant clues. MAGIC RUNNER is suggested as the first one to take note of, as she is unexposed over 1m4f and reverts to Polytrack on reasonably attractive rating for what she has achieved so far. Lady Odette can also play a big part if she is revved up by first-time cheekpieces, while Phrygia and Zizi could both improve now they step up in trip.
Lesson Of Life drops in grade and may yet have more to come, but PHRYGIA shaped well on handicap debut and now steps up in trip.

Second and third in this contest 12 months ago, CURIOUS BRIDE and Say It So are both of interest, with preference for the Eamonn O'Connell-trained former. Successful over the course and distance in July of last year, the selection clearly acts well around here. Disappointing in recent starts at the Curragh and Killarney, she might bounce back to form here with Dylan O'Connor claiming a valuable 10lb. Say It So won three in a row towards the end of last year and should step forward from his recent comeback effort at Listowel. A beaten favourite when last seen at Roscommon, Carried With Love could improve for the application of cheekpieces.
QUIZ TEST caught the eye at Listowel and can reverse form with Dark Note

A chance can be taken on FLOWSTATE, who didn't run too badly over the minimum trip at Catterick on his seasonal return last month. A 2lb ease in the handicap will do his chances no harm today, nor will the return to 6f, so it wouldn't be any great surprise were the low-mileage Bungle Inthejungle gelding to step forward. There are dangers aplenty though, perhaps none more so than Travis, who bumped into a real improver when second at Ayr three weeks ago. The Gay Blade is also noted.
Several possibles but it could be worth siding with FLOWSTATE, whose return to action at Catterick 12 days ago was promising.

Cloudside Rock is probably the percentage call after he resumed with an encouraging third-placed finish over 1m4f here last month. Still relatively unexposed on only his fifth appearance in a handicap, the David Simcock-trained four-year-old rates a key player here. However, a chance is taken with previous C&D winner PABLO PRINCE, who runs off a handy rating and tends to go well on Polytrack when paired off with Robert Havlin. A first-time visor could also inspire more from Sceptic, who completes the shortlist.
Monkmoor Pip ran well on his stable debut but CLOUDSIDE ROCK shaped well when third here last time and is preferred.

Plenty are sure to fancy their chances in an open contest, but the vote goes to FRENCH HAVEN, who was narrowly denied at Nottingham latest when attempting to follow up on her earlier Newmarket triumph. Charlie Johnston's filly is able to compete from an unchanged mark and, from her handy draw, ought to have every chance of going one place better. Bellasio fared best of those to come from off the pace when finishing second over C&D a fortnight ago and is respected, while others to note include Rainwater and Cisco Disco.
The in-form filly FRENCH HAVEN is unexposed and taken to win again.
Ths is the racecard key.
