With most of these having questions to answer, it is hard to oppose AMAYRETTO. Tim Easterby's filly has won twice in recent months, the first of which came over C&D, and a 6lb rise for the latest of those victories may not be enough to stop her here. Grace Taufan should not be underestimated on her handicap bow, while Finbar's Lad is another to note.

Preference is for FINBAR'S LAD, who went very close in a division of this race a year ago and returns here after a decent effort.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained MAXIMUM SCEPTICISM can open his account at the third time of asking. Fourth on his racecourse debut at the Curragh in May, the Churchill colt arguably ran even better when fifth back at that same venue last time. With the benefit of those previous experiences, he should be hard to beat now. Jordi Bear is worth a close look in the market on his racecourse debut. A St Mark's Basilica colt, the Fozzy Stack-trained newcomer is out of a real stable stalwart in Woody Creek. Aidan O'Brien's newcomer Daytona is also worthy of consideration on his introduction. With O'Brien relying on the son of Wootton Bassett, it could prove highly significant.

Jack Cleary has already ridden a juvenile winner for Aidan O'Brien this month and may score now on 500,000gns purchase DAYTONA.

Having clearly run too bad to be true last time, FULL CONFESSION can get his career back on track. A point-to-point winner for previous connections, the gelding made the perfect start on his Rules debut when easily landing a Fairyhouse bumper in November. Absent since that disappointing effort the following month, Willie Mullins is sure to have the son of Kingston Hill primed for this first run over hurdles. A bumper winner at this track last month, the Gordon Elliott-trained Cinammon Roll rates a serious threat. Also successful between the flags, the five-year-old was very impressive when opening his account under Rules. The consistent Keep Kool Coko looks the best of those with previous hurdling experience.

Point-to-point winner, CINAMMON ROLL made easy work of a course bumper and there's every chance he will improve for the new trip here

Mr Ubiquitous failed to complete a hat-trick but was far from disgraced when occupying the runner-up berth at Brighton last time and he holds an obvious chance. However, JERSEY MAVERICK showed a lot more when making the frame at Kempton last month and he was kindly dropped 1lb for that display. The son of Kodi Bear will need to transfer that form to turf but, if doing so, he could be the one to beat. Amor Cordis looks best of the rest.

Mr Ubiquitous rates a solid contender but a feasible alternative is JERSEY MAVERICK, who ran his best race yet last time.

ANGEL OF RAIN took a big step forward when winning on her debut for James Horton at Wolverhampton in February and that form suggests that an opening mark of 72 should be workable. The recent Beverley second Count Palatine is likely to be in the mix once again, while Novello Lad edges out Patontheback to be best of the rest.

This can go to well-handicapped 7yo PATONTHEBACK (nap), who recently signalled a return to form over 6f and is better suited by 7f.

The Andrew Oliver-trained gelding had shown ability on a couple of occasions as a juvenile but lost form towards the end of last season. However, with the aid of a first-time visor, the son of Sands Of Mali stepped up considerably on anything he had done previously when just touched off recently. Provided that the headgear does the trick for a second time, he should go close. Fairyhouse winner Lovely has to enter calculations off just 5lb higher, while handicap debutant Washington Street has to be respected given his connections.

If the eight-year-old remains in similar form, he could prove hard to beat. Beatrice Shilling finished a fair third when sporting a first-time tongue-tie at Windsor earlier in the month and she has to be considered. Last-time-out Brighton scorer Johnjay is another to note.

If in the same form as when returning from a long absence at Newbury, then HOVER could be the answer to a trappy handicap.

Homestrait clearly has the ability to be successful but could once again be vulnerable. With that in mind, preference is for ARTANIS, who is a half-sister to the useful Celeborn and her dam was Listed-placed over 6f. It would be no surprise to see George Boughey's filly play a leading role on her debut, although Amora Queen is another interesting newcomer.

Ivan Furtado's ALFA PATISSERIE displayed clear promise in a good 6f York novice on her debut and ought to be more streetwise here.

The Mohaather filly still appears on a competitive mark and the booking of talented 5lb claimer Wayne Hassett adds to confidence. Empress Artemis has only raced over a mile including when successful on debut at Dundalk but could prove a threat dropping down to 7f, while Honeysuckle Rose is another Dundalk maiden winner with scope for scope for improvement. Ribchestina hails from a yard in good form and merits respect on her second over this trip at Cork last time.

MAXIOS PRIME could take advantage of receiving plenty of weight from her main rivals. She brings very solid form to this contest having delivered in a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle in February before finishing a more than fair third in a valuable fillies' juvenile handicap hurdle at Cheltenham in April. A couple of spins on the Flat ought to have sharpened Theflyingbee up and her runner-up berth over flights at Navan in December has been well franked. Dame Rapide held every chance at the last before finishing third on seasonal reappearance at Ballinrobe. That was her first start for Cian Hughes and she has been a money-spinner for her former trainers. There are ground concerns for Rockview Consort with more rain due.

THEFLYINGBEE (nap) looks the most solid option. The form of her Navan second has worked out very well and she handles soft ground

TARRIANCE beat Gravitas by just over four lengths when justifying short odds to shed his maiden tag at Beverley last month and that was quite a taking performance. The son of Frankel looks a useful prospect and it would be no surprise to see him carry his 7lb penalty to victory. Bomba Del Mundo struck on her introduction at Windsor last month and she could have lots more to offer, so has to be respected.

This novice has depth to it but there is no strong temptation to oppose TARRIANCE, who looked useful when winning at Beverley.

He was just denied in a 20-runner handicap over this trip at Naas and makes a quick reappearance after running a cracker at Leopardstown on Thursday. Eagles Whistle hasn't enjoyed much luck in running on her latest two outings, while Carvalhal won over 1m1f for Michael Dods last year and has been placed on his latest two starts for current connections including over this C&D. Miss Abby Jools is without a win in two years but has dropped down to an attractive mark, while Suityourselfboss beat all bar Top Of The Pops here on her penultimate start and is another to consider.

A high draw could be a problem for CARVALHAL, but Nicola Burns already has a keen tactical awareness that should be a big help

Having offered plenty to work with on his second-placed debut at Pontefract last month, BIG FUN could put that experience to good use. The third and fourth have subsequently run well in defeat, so Kevin Ryan's gelding should take all the beating. Vincenzo Peruggia fetched 550,000gns in the October Book 1 sale and he must be monitored in the betting. The Lope De Vega newcomer is feared most, ahead of Masai Angel.

Kevin Ryan's BIG FUN made a very promising debut at Pontefract last month and might put his experience to good use here.

BOWENSONFIRE is a ground-versatile sort who is going the right way over hurdles. He hasn't been out of the first three in his last five races and accrued victories in Limerick and when last seen in Tramore. The support came for Extrapolation ahead of his runner-up berth at Ballinrobe in April. That form looks strong given the exploits of the winner and the third home since then. He wouldn't want too much rain, though. Malbay Madness is up in grade, but has earned a shot at this company as he is on a hat-trick after two victories at Kilbeggan. Portnacoo is back with Harry Smyth for whom he memorably won three races in a row at this venue last year.

ITALICA appreciated the step up in distance when making all at Chepstow a few weeks ago. That form has been boosted since and Tom Dascombe's colt could be capable of defying a 7lb penalty. The biggest threat may emerge from Penhallam, who offered plenty of encouragement on his debut second at Leicester earlier this month. Orion's Belt and Berkshire Boom are intriguing debutants and market support for either would be interesting.

Italica has done most but PENHALLAM may improve sufficiently to go one better than at Leicester. The newcomers need a check.

However, an 8lb hike in the ratings demands another career-best performance from the three-year-old and fellow last-time-out winner LORD ROXBY may prove to be better treated. Nigel Tinkler's charge justified strong support in the market to land a 14-runner sprint over C&D in late May and a 6lb higher mark looks workable. U Sure Do and Tarlac are also noted.

A good race with no less than four last-time-out winners taking part. WARRIORS WOOD got off the mark in Kilbeggan and the runner-up has certainly done his bit since then to boost the form. Although he was a big price, he was backed so it clearly wasn't a surprise. This is a marked drop in trip for Boston Rajj who was an easy winner over an extended 3m1f at Sligo. He could be coming home stronger than most. A first-time hood and nicer ground saw Ballyearl deliver in Tipperary and he should be in there pitching for a healthy cheque. Sage Conseil went across the Irish Sea to score in Sedgefield and is proven over further if this becomes a battle.

Having posted her best effort to date when runner-up on her seasonal debut at Wetherby in April, QUAMBY could be poised to open her account. That was her first attempt over this distance and any improvement should make her tough to beat. The well-bred Wujjood cannot be taken lightly on her opening bid and market support could prove significant. Bintalina is the pick of the remainder.

There is little to choose between Angelight and CANDLEFORD GREEN on running over a mile at Naas last month, but preference is for the latter who was denied a clear run inside the final 2f. The form of that aforementioned Naas maiden has been working out quite well since and the Willie Mullins-trained filly is bred to appreciate this step up in distance. Etawa has also shown promise on both previous outings and is another to consider along with Guy's Girl and Offshore Bay, who both have plenty of scope for improvement.

Philip Rothwell's AR NOS NA GAOITHE has a shot at doubling her career total. It was three runs back that she got off the mark in good style on soft ground at Clonmel and she showed that she can be competitive off her revised mark when third in Down Royal. Chatterbox has every chance of making the breakthrough. She's a long-standing maiden across the Flat and hurdles, but performed creditably in second on the level in Listowel at the start of the month. Rothwell's Ricky Langford won over fences at this track last summer and a return to Downpatrick could spark an improvement, while Live To Laugh is a handicap debutant with claims.

This looks like a good opportunity for CHATTERBOX to get a first win. She went close last summer and ran well on the Flat last time

The Dermot Weld-trained gelding has been a model of consistency since including when placed on his reappearance in another Premier Handicap at the Curragh last month. Fleur De Chine won the valuable Gowran Classic over C&D last year and should appreciate any further rain, while Viking Invasion and stablemate Dignam are closely matched on running in this year's renewal of the Gowran Classic. The most persuasive candidates are FAIR DINKUM and Marioento. The latter won well last time but on soft and off 8lb lower.

This drop back to 5f, combined with first-time cheekpieces, might enable NOVAMAY to get a deserved win on the board.
