1st (3) ![]() Enchant |
10/11(+44%) | (3) Enchant 10/11, 16 Mar; £300,000 breeze-up purchase by Wootton Bassett; half-siter to Legitify, who won over 1m on the dirt in the US; dam smart at 9f; likely go well for powerful connections on debut £300,000 breeze-up 2yo; stable rich in 2yo talent and she's of obvious paper interest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) ![]() Bleep Test |
85/40(-13%) | (1) Bleep Test 85/40, Second by 2l on debut at Redcar; won second start back there; second beaten a neck in a novice over 5f at York in better; steadily progressive; top course trainer; up in trip; contender Useful form on all three starts; know-how is a big plus against two newcomers; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) ![]() American Flight |
10/3(-33%) | (2) American Flight 10/3, 21 Feb; 230,000gns Starspangledbanner filly; half-sister to several winners, including Feathery and Les Bleus, very smart at 7f; dam smart at 5f; Danny Tudhope tends to do well here 230,000gns half-sister to three winners out of a useful sprinter; lots to like on paper. |
Having lost little in defeat when finishing a close-up second in a class 2 event at York recently, this looks a suitable opportunity for BLEEP TEST to outrun her rivals. Tim Easterby's filly sets a good standard dropping in class and her experience could prove crucial. 300,000-pound newcomer Enchant must be monitored in the betting, along with American Flight, a half-sister to the Group-placed Les Bleus.
The newcomers, especially Enchant, are of interest but BLEEP TEST is useful and may do better. She can exploit her experience.

9/2(-29%) | (2) Dickens 9/2, Ran to form 11l third in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las most recent run where given too much to do; generally consistent; chance on stable debut C&D winner in March and has joined another very capable trainer for £7,000. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) ![]() Blended Stealth |
12/1(-20%) | (8) Blended Stealth 12/1, Travelled, returned to form down in trip to shed maiden tag, fine ride scored by 4 1/2l off 75 here penultimate start; lazy sixth beaten 23l off 80 last time; inconsistent; others preferred A winner here last month but not so good last week; now 1-37. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) ![]() Malangen |
8/1(-60%) | (6) Malangen 8/1, Won this last year off 8lb higher; not stay fourth beaten 9l in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Perth latest but ran well for a long way; down in trip; could prove tough to peg back if resuming positive handling Fair run last time at 3m; comfortable winner of this last year when 8lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) ![]() Huit Reflets |
11/1(-83%) | (7) Huit Reflets 11/1, Keen, likes the track, returned to form, outstayed late up in trip beaten 3 1/2l off 84 over 2m4f here last time; down in trip; outside chance Beaten 3.5l over 2m4f here 15 days ago and might have threatened had he settled better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) ![]() National Question |
9/4(+78%) | (9) National Question 9/4, Fourth beaten 5l in a handicap over 12f at Pontefract latest; C&D winner in autumn; second run after wind op; up in trip; bit to find on these terms C&D winner in November and didn't run badly on the Flat last time after wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) ![]() Mr Sundancer |
3/1(+50%) | (1) Mr Sundancer 3/1, Ran to form 6 1/2l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Cartmel most recent run; significant jockey booking; sound surface suits; consistent if a touch frustrating; threat Still early days with this yard and not beaten too far in either run following a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) ![]() Love True |
17/2(-155%) | (4) Love True 17/2, Travelled, out-battled late, ran to form fourth beaten 2l in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Cartmel latest; well treated back in a handicap; maiden for a reason but could change that Respectable run in a novice last time and has shown she can be competitive off this mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) ![]() Earlofbrackenstown |
20/1(+20%) | (5) Earlofbrackenstown 20/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Downpatrick last time; generally out of form in Ireland; cheekpieces first time; down in trip; bit to find on stable debut Could yet have some improvement lurking and now goes in cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) ![]() Allbetsoff |
28/1(-133%) | (3) Allbetsoff 28/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle here latest; goes well here; enjoys making it; not the force of old but handicapper relenting; outside chacne Second of nine to Blended Stealth here last month but dropped out very tamely a week ago. |
MALANGEN was on an 8lb higher mark when he won this corresponding race 12 months ago and is an attractive proposition, having had a similar preparation in the build up to his crack at back-to-back wins. Huit Reflets goes well here and can make sure the selection is kept up to his work, while National Question is another C&D winner that cannot be ruled out having returned from a break/wind surgery with a fourth-placed finish on the Flat at Pontefract last month.
A chance is taken on HUIT REFLETS who was too free for his own good when placed here two weeks ago and he's back in trip.

1st (4) ![]() Buck Barrow |
4/1(+11%) | (4) Buck Barrow 4/1, Slowly away beaten 7l in a handicap at Chepstow last time; usually consistent; could bounce back Very solid second (strong form) at Bath on stable debut; unsuited by Chepstow later in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Electric Bass |
11/1(-10%) | (2) Electric Bass 11/1, Below par well beaten on turf debut in a handicap at Chepstow latest; in good form prior on AW; risky Possibilities on most recent AW effort but failed to transfer the form to turf since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) ![]() Beaune |
22/1(-120%) | (6) Beaune 22/1, Beaten 2 1/4l in a classified race over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; bit to find Shaped encouragingly on AW last time but the form is modest; cheekpieces go on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) ![]() Shabu Shabu |
5/6(+33%) | (3) Shabu Shabu 5/6, Well backed beaten 1 1/4l off 52 at Leicester last time over 1m2f; looks to be on a workable opening mark; significant jockey booking; big chance off same mark Improved effort at Leicester this month on turf/handicap debut; respected off same mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) ![]() Mielikki |
18/1(-13%) | (7) Mielikki 18/1, Well beaten in a novice over 1m at Leicester latest; up in trip; tempting opening mark; may do better now handicapping Waldgeist filly; may be capable of improvement now handicapping and upped in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) ![]() Grande Armee |
16/1(+20%) | (5) Grande Armee 16/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a handicap at Leicester latest; given another chance over 1m2f; Shoemark up; not out of it Finished about 10l behind Shabu Shabu at Leicester but may do better still. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) ![]() Bird About Town |
125/1(-89%) | (8) Bird About Town 125/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 12f at Lingfield most recent; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; more needed Has finished last in most starts; dismal claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) ![]() D Day Major Winter |
9/2(-29%) | (1) D Day Major Winter 9/2, Ideally suited by trip second beaten 2l off 54 over 1m4f at Lingfield last time; top course jockey; down in trip; could figure Improved effort sent beyond 1m last time; open to further progress over middle distances. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) ![]() Lasswade |
40/1(-21%) | (9) Lasswade 40/1, No worthwhile form in opening three starts; trainer in form; usually held up; not proven trip; more needed Possible improver judged on pedigree but has shown no promise in maidens. |
D DAY MAJOR WINTER appeals most after proving he can last beyond a mile with a resectable second-placed finish over an extended 1m3f at Lingfield 11 days ago. This slightly shorter trip could prove to be ideal given the way that race panned out and he won't need much of a step forward to assert his authority under top-weight. Leicester runner-up Shabu Shabu is feared most, although Buck Barrow also has strong possibilities at this level.
A maiden handicap in all but name. BUCK BARROW is the form pick on his Bath effort. Shabu Shabu is second choice.

1st (2) ![]() Twilight Guest |
85/40(+23%) | (2) Twilight Guest 85/40, Hat-trick seeker; going away a touch line and came clear with second landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 52 for second straight win at Brighton; form progressing and rated in 60s in 2023; in the mix Took an age to get off the mark but now chasing a hat-trick after two easy Brighton wins. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) ![]() Hawa Jumeirah |
15/8(+38%) | (1) Hawa Jumeirah 15/8, All out after looking like would win easily landing a handicap by a head off 56 at Leicester last time; high cruising speed, but lacks turn of foot at 10f; can't ruled out entirely looking to follow up Two wins this year, the latest last month over this trip on good to firm; needs more here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() Roman Secret |
6/4(+63%) | (3) Roman Secret 6/4, Probably needed race when reappearing for first time since October when fourth beaten 5l in a handicap at Nottingham latest; another who could be in with a chance, but on long losing streak Shaped okay on stable/seasonal debut; sharper today but may prefer good ground or slower. |
Twilight Guest supplemented his breakthrough victory at Brighton last month when following up over the same C&D six days later. George Margarson's gelding warrants respect in his hat-trick bid, but could be worth taking on off a 7lb higher mark. Hawa Jumeirah arrives on the back of a triumph at Leicester, but preference is for ROMAN SECRET, who is taken to improve on her fourth-placed seasonal/stable bow at Nottingham earlier this month.
Roman Secret can build on her recent stable debut but the thriving TWILIGHT GUEST can complete his hat-trick.

1st (1) ![]() Glory And Honour |
7/2(-27%) | (1) Glory And Honour 7/2, Returned to form beaten 3 1/2l off 115 here last time; blinkers first time; fair mark on chase form; needs decent pace to run off but threat if getting it Back on track reverted to hurdles when second here latest; not ruled out with blinkers on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Beny Nahar Road |
6/5(+0%) | (2) Beny Nahar Road 6/5, Travelled, cosily, track suited, so did strong pace landing a handicap by 5l off 107 at Southwell last time; progressive; strong stayer at 2m; contender but needs stiff test Impressive Southwell winner latest; up 6lb but has more to offer; major shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) ![]() Scots Poet |
10/3(+39%) | (4) Scots Poet 10/3, Mistakes, unsuited by way race developed comfortably held in a handicap chase here last time; usually consistent; usually held up; needs pace collapse and unlikely to get it here Blundered 4 out when below-par fifth over C&D eight days ago; he shouldn't be written off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (3) ![]() Disco Annie |
9/2(+0%) | (3) Disco Annie 9/2, Flattened out but returned to form, poorly placed at sharp track in race dominated from front fourth beaten 6l in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Cartmel latest; good mark on hurdle form; has speed edge here; easy lead likely; strong claims Below-par fourth of five in 2m1f Carmel handicap chase 29 days ago; others appeal more. |
BENY NAHAR ROAD is readily nominated after he won in a cosy manner at Southwell 19 days ago. A 6lb higher rating looks fair and the six-year-old's case is boosted as he already boasts some C&D experience. Glory And Honour's recent second-placed finish over hurdles here should have kept him ticking over nicely and he rates a key player in what is likely to be a tactical affair. Scots Poet can utilise his course knowledge to out manoeuvre Disco Annie for third place.
Henry Hogarth's progressive BENY NAHAR ROAD scored impressively at Southwell recently and can make light of a 6lb rise in the weights

1st (3) ![]() Beggarman |
7/2(+22%) | (3) Beggarman 7/2, Below par down the field in a handicap over 1m4f at Chepstow most recent; usually consistent; top course jockey; up in trip no issue; well treated; in the mix Runner-up in both C&D attempts but is 0-20 on turf; below best this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) ![]() Jimmy Mark |
5/2(-67%) | (4) Jimmy Mark 5/2, Did not get a clear run scored by a head off 52 over 1m4f at Bath three starts back; second beaten 1/2l off 55 last time; goes well here; up in trip; serious contender Solid record over 11.5f this term; 2-2 at Ffos Las; respected, assuming he stays new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) ![]() Nivelle's Magic |
3/1(-20%) | (1) Nivelle's Magic 3/1, Back to form off reduced official mark landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 55 over 1m4f at Southwell last time; up in trip; off a short-break; major player Scored on AW last time; 2-2 in turf handicaps, including Ffos Las win; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) ![]() Adrian |
13/2(+28%) | (7) Adrian 13/2, Below par 13l third in a handicap over 1m4f at Chepstow most recent run; up in trip; bit to prove On a four-year losing spell; only a modest third last time; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) ![]() Ten Ten Twenty |
17/2(+58%) | (6) Ten Ten Twenty 17/2, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap over 1m4f at Brighton last time; in good form prior over hurdles; not proven trip; off a short-break; bit to find Soundly beaten in sole 2025 start, having been friendless in the betting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) ![]() Believe Jack |
33/1(-65%) | (2) Believe Jack 33/1, Needed run, ran well to a point fourth beaten 18l in a handicap hurdle over 2m here latest; returns to turf for first time since 2021; second run after wind op; down in trip; may contend 0-7 on Flat and hasn't raced under this code for four years. |
Nivelle's Magic was back on a previous winning mark when scoring over 1m4f at Southwell on her most recent start, but she has a 5lb higher rating, a 53-day absence to overcome and two additional furlongs to cope with here. Those factors are persuasive enough to suggest looking elsewhere, with BLENHEIM LAD forwarded as the first one to consider. Already a winner over this distance, that proven stamina earns the Camilla Poulton-trained gelding the vote. Adrian and Jimmy Mark can also feature.
With a combined record of 3-3 at Ffos Las and respectable 2025 form, NIVELLE'S MAGIC and Jimmy Mark are the biggest players.

1st (3) ![]() Sol Cayo |
5/1(+17%) | (3) Sol Cayo 5/1, In-form when last seen at the start of the year; well treated at weights when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 82 over 11f at Southwell in January; returning from a break; up in trip; making turf return In fine form on AW when last seen; 0-6 on turf though and he'll need to be cherry ripe. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Lieber Power |
5/6(+39%) | (2) Lieber Power 5/6, Looked to improve when 7l third over 12f at Newmarket last month; even better when beaten by less than 2l in fourth at Haydock last time; drops in class here; the pick on balance of form Ran well in a stronger race at Haydock last month; looks set for a big run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Expert Witness |
7/4(+75%) | (4) Expert Witness 7/4, Scored by a neck off 79 over 10f at Windsor penultimate start; below form when fifth beaten by 7l off 83 last time; up in trip; Hector Crouch booked; value selection based on balance of form Below best last time but had earlier started life with her new yard in good order; chance. |
Sol Cayo continued his progression for current connections when landing the spoils at Southwell 149 days ago and he must enter calculations. However, he does have something to prove on turf, so LIEBER POWER could be the one. The son of Cracksman arrives on the back of a respectable fourth in a class 2 event at Haydock and a similar performance may prove sufficient. Expert Witness is also noted.
Expert Witness is better than she showed last time but LIEBER POWER looks the safest option.

2nd (1) ![]() Fortune The Brave |
5/1(-186%) | (1) Fortune The Brave 5/1, Unseated in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Punchestown latest when well fancied; good mark on maiden form; unexposed at 3m; strong claims Has shown promise; unseated rider early at Punchestown; this Irish raider can do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() Man Of Action |
1/1(+60%) | (3) Man Of Action 1/1, Needed every yard in steadily run race, relished longer trip landing a handicap by 3/4l off 91 over 3m at Perth last time; well treated up 5lb, progressive; likes the track; claims obvious On a hat-trick after wins over C&D and at Perth; up 5lb but holds major claims. |

5th (5) ![]() Perfect Poli |
33/1(-106%) | (5) Perfect Poli 33/1, Not given hard time comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m6f at Cartmel last time; longer trip could suit; fair mark on debut form; interesting at a price Well-held fifth at Cartmel 29 days ago; needs to take a step forward now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) ![]() Balally Park |
16/1(-33%) | (4) Balally Park 16/1, Stopped quickly having briefly threatened, needed run down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f at Cartmel most recent; not proven trip; unreliable Not discredited when ninth at Cartmel latest, losing ground after early error; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) ![]() Brave Adam |
7/1(-8%) | (2) Brave Adam 7/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Fairyhouse latest; cheekpieces first time; significant jockey booking; off a short-break; thrown in on Irish chase form; not ruled out on stable debut Pulled up at Fairyhouse on final run for Thomas Cooper; not ruled out for new yard though. |
Fortune The Brave's latest start is best forgotten as he unseated at the first flight at Punchestown. The Irish raider has to be of interest in taking this potentially winnable race. However, he has to concede plenty of weight to the hat-trick seeking MAN OF ACTION, who won over this C&D in early-May before following up at Perth a fortnight ago. A 5lb higher rating might not be enough to prevent him from extending the winning sequence, while Foxwood and Brave Adam are the pick of the rest.
A few with chances but MAN OF ACTION (nap) hasn't looked back since sent over longer distances and can complete a hat-trick

14/1(0%) | (6) Mum's Angel 14/1, Raced freely beaten 6 1/4l in a novice at Salisbury last time; should show some improvement; each-way shout May do better still but is likely to be more interesting in handicaps soon. |

11/1(-57%) | (7) Outlandish 11/1, Game 1/2l third in a maiden over 1m at Nottingham most recent run; improved from debut; back in trip; contender Close third at Nottingham last time; drops in distance; one of the main form contenders. |

11th (3) ![]() Adaay Dancing |
200/1(-100%) | (3) Adaay Dancing 200/1, Outpaced beaten 9l in a maiden over 6f at Salisbury last time; not proven trip; looked outclassed on Flat debut; opposed Very weak claims on form. |
This could be well within the reach of MAGNETITE, who won't need much of a step forward to get off the mark. The Wathnan Racing-owned colt was a respectable third behind a much better-fancied stable companion on his seasonal debut at Chepstow last month and should be spot on for a bolder showing in this, his qualifying run for a handicap mark. Outlandish, Pantani and Mum's Angel are other unexposed options to consider.
Arctic Dawn and The Hare Rail are major players on form, while MAGNETITE and Outlandish could well progress further.

7th (3) ![]() Jane Temple |
10/1(-33%) | (3) Jane Temple 10/1, Ideally suited by trip beaten 9l in Bronte Cup Fillies' Stakes (Group 3) over 1m6f at York last time; in good form prior with back-to-back wins at Southwell and Kempton; down in trip; may contend Two AW wins; just over 1l behind Allonsy on turf debut latest; still open to improvement. |
KARMOLOGY has been the bridesmaid on three previous occasions in Listed races but is a game mare who could step up here. The Karl Burke-trained five-year-old is set to encounter ideal ground conditions and, still unexposed over the trip, there is plenty to like about her. Ralph Beckett has a good record in this and plays another strong hand, with the less-exposed Meribella shading preference over Allonsy as the main danger. Santorini Star could go well too.
Progressive SANTORINI STAR (nap) has been found a good opening for her first start at Listed level. Karmology is feared most.

This isn't the deepest of contests and it could provide MAGGIES BOY the perfect opportunity in which to break his hurdling duck. Jennie Candlish's gelding has posted a number of solid efforts in defeat and the addition of a first-time tongue-tie could eke out a little more. Moonbow was a well-held third at Perth a fortnight ago but he ought to have learnt plenty from that experience and is one of the likelier candidates. Mayor Kingston is a half-brother to a multiple hurdles winner and market support would be noteworthy.
He wouldn't be one to take too short a price about but MAGGIES BOY has by far and away the most convincing pieces of form.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) ![]() Amica |
14/1(-27%) | (3) Amica 14/1, Probably needed race down the field in a maiden over 6f at Kempton most recent; up in trip on handicap debut; each-way shout May show progress now handicapping and back up in distance; not ruled out. |
This looks open with the likes of handicap debutants Maybe Not, Amica and Key Witness all seemingly capable of better, but it is HUNKY DORY that gets the vote. The son of Pinatubo was perhaps in need of the outing at Newmarket at the beginning of last month, though he took a marked leap forward to finish an extremely creditable fifth in a warm York contest latest. Eased 1lb in the handicap, it would come as no great surprise were he to find further progress and land the spoils.
Several runners are interesting, particularly KEY WITNESS (nap). Second choice is Maybe Not, ahead of Hunky Dory.

6/5(+64%) | (6) Captain Potter 6/5, Not been in bad form so far this season when going close on a couple of occasions; beaten 3/4l off 58 over 2m1f here last time; solid contender if replicating that form over this slightly longer trip Comes here in good form but drying ground is not ideal and he's creeping up the weights. |

16/1(-14%) | (5) El Borracho 16/1, Out of form comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m at Doncaster last time; third when last seen in this sphere last August; back up in trip; not out of it on return to the flat Not at his best over fences when last seen; returns from 190 days off; others appeal more. |

4th (1) ![]() Almudena |
7/2(+46%) | (1) Almudena 7/2, Yard won this last year; raced freely down the field in a handicap over 1m6f at Chelmsford most recent; consistent prior; blinkers tried first time; trainer in form; up in trip; in the mix Low-key return to action but unexposed over 2m and this trip could suit even better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) ![]() Cinnodin |
11/2(-22%) | (3) Cinnodin 11/2, Slowly away when scored by 1/2l off 72 over 2m at Kempton three starts back; fifth beaten 4l off 74 last time; up in trip; returns to turf after AW spell; the pick on balance of form On a fair mark and has C&D form; drying ground is probably not ideal though. |
SURREY FIRE is open to progression and given that his dam won the Cesarewitch during her career, there are very good reasons to expect the Hughie Morrison-trained four-year-old will have the stamina reserves to have a big impact. This is no easy task and the likes of Almudena and Diamand De Vindecy, a C&D winner in April, will keep the selection honest. Captain Potter could also be a surprise package in an open race.
Almudena can leave her reappearance behind her but a thorough stamina test could unlock SURREY FIRE's undoubted potential.

|PU| (5) ![]() Marty Mcfly |
6/5(+40%) | (5) Marty Mcfly 6/5, Keen, travelled, readily, improved on chase debut landing a handicap by 3 1/2l off 92 here last time; sound surface suits; more to come; threat Tongue-tie added to cheekpieces when making a successful chase debut by 3.5l. |
MARTY MCFLY jumped well to make a successful chasing bow over C&D recently and, with the prospect of more to come, he is fancied to defy a 3lb rise en route to further success. Royal Deeside was also victorious over track and trip last time so he merits the utmost respect, as does Fontwell scorer Fortunate Fella. O'Faolains Glory is no back number either.
Last month's gritty Fontwell winner FORTUNATE FELLA can continue the good work for his new yard after leaving Paul Nicholls for £40,000.

7th (6) ![]() Almizan |
12/1(+0%) | (6) Almizan 12/1, 5 1/2l third in a handicap at Chelmsford most recent run; unplaced in opening six starts; probably best to look elsewhere Good third at Chelmsford latest; she can go well despite being 1lb out of the handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) ![]() Rival |
13/2(-44%) | (2) Rival 13/2, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap at Chepstow last time; blinkers first time; return to quicker ground would be a plus; CD winner; in the mix C&D winner; looked rusty after 11 months off when sixth at Chepstow; can take step forward. |
King of The Dance has remained competitive since winning at Wolverhampton in March and the six-year-old is expected to be thereabouts once again. That said, it might be worth taking a chance on SCENARIO. The low-mileage three-year-old posted a solid effort when fourth at Brighton earlier this month. Cheekpieces are applied for the first time and they could elicit some improvement. Irish raider Yquem makes her handicap bow and the booking of David Egan is noteworthy.
This could go to SCENARIO, who can build on a very good recent Brighton fourth (the form has been franked) to get off the mark here.

11/2(+21%) | (1) Havana Blue 11/2, Winner over 7.5f at Beverley last August and remained consistent; probably needed race beaten 5l in a handicap over 7f at Doncaster last time; in good form prior; down in trip Looked as though recent return would bring him on; drops in trip off a fair mark. |
Partisan Hero has done all his winning over further, including on Oaks day at Epsom latest, but this previous course winner still needs to be respected. The vote, however, goes to RARE CHANGE. On target at Windsor and York before enduring a troubled passage at Goodwood last time, the three-year-old could bounce back. Northern Spirit is drawn well in stall one and should not be overlooked.
Northern Spirit and RARE CHANGE could find that this is run to suit and the selection has looked an improved performer since gelded.

1st (2) ![]() Les's Legacy |
3/1(-9%) | (2) Les's Legacy 3/1, Ran to form, liked the track scored by 2 1/2l off 96 here in March; travelled, not stay fifth beaten 4l off 105 last time; goes well here; down in trip; well treated on old form; contender C&D winner who arrives in decent nick; he ought to be thereabouts. |

2nd (1) ![]() Jakana |
17/2(+6%) | (1) Jakana 17/2, Well backed, up in trip, probably not stay comfortably held in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Chepstow last time; generally out of form; down in trip; off a short-break; looking flattered by novice form; best watched Last at Chepstow on her final run for Fergal O'Brien in April; more needed for new stable. |

3rd (5) ![]() Tommie Gun |
11/8(+89%) | (5) Tommie Gun 11/8, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee latest; not proven trip; significant jockey booking; off a short-break; out of form; further ease in weights not enough to recommend Pulled up at Bangor final run for Nigel Twiston-Davies; needs to bounce back for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) ![]() Kow Boy Sivola |
6/1(-50%) | (4) Kow Boy Sivola 6/1, Keen, ran to form comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m here last time; step up in trip a plus; could take advantage of lenient opening mark Not discredited when fifth here eight days ago; considered now handicapping up in trip. |
FEACH AMACH hasn't looked back since undergoing wind surgery in March, winning three of her four starts since - the most recent of those coming at Kelso last month. Adam Nicol's mare is 4lb higher today and would require a career-best but, while some of these have a bit to prove, she ought to go very close. A drop in trip and a return to this venue could hold the key to Les's Legacy, who merits respect along with handicap debutant Kow Boy Sivola.
The progressive FEACH AMACH has thrived since joining Adam Nicol and can make it 4-6 for the yard here on the back of her Kelso victory

![]() Run Of Luck |
(2) 9/4(+0%) | (2) Run Of Luck 9/4, Well treated at weights when scored by a length off 50 over 1m2f at Doncaster three starts back; fifth beaten 4 1/4l off 56 last time; trainer in form; down in grade; obvious claims Dual 1m2f winner; seemingly outstayed when upped to this trip last time. |

![]() Three Yorkshiremen |
(1) 5/1(-122%) | (1) Three Yorkshiremen 5/1, Game when landing a handicap by a short-head off 58 over 1m3f at Kempton last time; should handle the step up in trip; threat Back up only 2lb for narrow AW win last time; may well remain competitive. |

![]() Cogital |
(3) 9/1(+44%) | (3) Cogital 9/1, Seemed to be on stiff mark fourth beaten 17l in a handicap at Chepstow latest; usually held up; without a win since 2022; bit to find Modest fourth last time; seemingly isn't anything like the force of old. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Baikal |
(4) 22/1(-100%) | (4) Baikal 22/1, Ran to form fourth beaten 12l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Worcester latest; not proven trip; yet to win on turf flat; bit to find Hurdles/AW scorer; 0-13 in Flat turf events; not the percentage call. |
THREE YORKSHIREMEN was able to take advantage of a sliding handicap mark when on target over 1m3f at Kempton recently. Sean Levey retains the ride and a 2lb rise will be no barrier to further success. If seeing out this extra furlong, he might prove tough to beat. Cornish Storm has been in solid form under both codes and must feature prominently in calculations, while Run Of Luck appeals most of the remaining trio.
Based on recent form and other factors, CORNISH STORM (narrowly preferred) and Three Yorkshiremen are the strongest contenders.

(1) 2/1(+40%) | (1) Style Of Life 2/1, Back to form off a break since January when landing a handicap by 2l off 66 at Chester last time; enjoys making it and best suited by making the running, but anything on the firmer side could be an issue Easy win at Chester (7.5, good) nine days ago; up 6lb but still high on the list. |

![]() Adorla Of Achill |
(6) 11/4(-100%) | (6) Adorla Of Achill 11/4, Well backed, unexposed second handicap start and improved landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off 66 at Haydock last time; Rossa Ryan takes over from Oisin Murphy, so still in good hands; the pick on balance of form Made all in a 1m handicap at Nottingham last month; up 5lb but unexposed. |

(2) 3/1(+50%) | (2) Mount King 3/1, Suited by coming from midfield and ran best race for some time scored by 2l off 62 here penultimate start; fifth beaten 3l off 67 last time; goes well here; value selection based on balance of form C&D win last month; fair effort in a 0-80 last week; can do better returned to Class 5. |

![]() Castro Aurum |
(4) 9/2(+36%) | (4) Castro Aurum 9/2, Up in trip and slightly in class when beaten 3l off 73 over 10f at Nottingham last time; blinkers applied for the first time; back down in trip to distance he won at at Bath on penultimate start Looked tricky last time but a change of headgear could help and she's still low mileage. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Volenti |
(3) 10/1(-33%) | (3) Volenti 10/1, Course specialist at Newcastle, winning for the fourth time there when last scoring in January; good effort when close second at Ripon from big odds latest; fast ground may be an issue Ran as well as he ever has when second at Ripon last month; drying ground is a query. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wicklow Way |
(7) 50/1(-150%) | (7) Wicklow Way 50/1, Wide trip comfortably held in a maiden over 7f at Catterick last time; yet to show much in three career starts; question marks again over this longer trip here; bit to find on what we've seen so far Has a more realistic chance now handicapping but his opening mark looks stiff. |
Adorla Of Achill made all to score at Haydock last month and is respected off 5lb higher, but preference is for STYLE OF LIFE. Back on the grass for her seasonal return at Chester recently, the daughter of New Bay recorded a commanding success. 6lb higher but already proven at this venue, she appears to hold outstanding claims. Volenti is another who must enter calculations.
Last-time-out winners Style Of Life and ADORLA OF ACHILL can dominate. The selection may be open to the greater progress.
Ths is the racecard key.
