![]() Kensington Agent |
(3) 3/1(+0%) | (3) Kensington Agent 3/1, Scored by 3/4l off 58 at Wolverhampton three starts back; second beaten 1/2l off 61 last time; top course trainer; threat Victory and a third to her name in two starts here and handles fast ground; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Notre Maison |
(7) 4/1(+0%) | (7) Notre Maison 4/1, Well backed beaten l off 57 over 5f at Windsor last time; knocking on the door prior; trainer in form; enjoys making it; up in trip; in the mix Two solid efforts without the usual headgear this spring; fine on this ground; shortlisted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Maid In Chelsea |
(1) 9/1(+0%) | (1) Maid In Chelsea 9/1, Ran to form beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Brighton last time; yet to back up impressive novice form; significant jockey booking; unproven on fast ground; chance Well held in two handicaps, including on her recent comeback (good to firm). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Shibuya Storm |
(6) 9/1(+0%) | (6) Shibuya Storm 9/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 7 1/2l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; generally out of form; bit to find Struggled once handicapping, coming 9lb down the weights; not obviously fancied on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Joy Choi |
(5) 11/1(+0%) | (5) Joy Choi 11/1, Yard has won 2 of last 4 runnings of race; probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap over 5f at Salisbury last time; up in trip; squeak Remote last of five on her comeback from almost a year off; 2-3 wins came on soft ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Vaunted |
(4) 18/1(+0%) | (4) Vaunted 18/1, Slowly away down the field in a handicap at Chepstow most recent; top jockey back on board; C&D winner in September; step forward needed on 2025 form Fine on fast turf and popped up at big prices twice last autumn; no surprise to see better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Olympic Quest |
(8) 66/1(+0%) | (8) Olympic Quest 66/1, Looked to want further down the field in a handicap over 7f at Chepstow most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; lot to find Regressive mare who's only run once in a sprint; makes little appeal from 8lb wrong. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Connie's Rose |
(2) 15/8(0%) | (2) Connie's Rose 15/8, Beaten 3/4l off 68 over 5f at Chepstow last time; enjoys making it; dual-course winner; up in trip; contender Returned to form of late; will be 2lb higher from tomorrow, so her claims are obvious. |
Not beaten far into second twice at Wolverhampton after scoring there in March, KENSINGTON AGENT sets the standard on form and a return to the turf should not inconvenience, having won here previously. Notre Maison has been knocking on the door of late and is a key player, along with Maid In Chelsea, who has the services of Jim Crowley to call upon for the first time.
Preference is for NOTRE MAISON, who's been in good form without the usual headgear this spring. Connie's Rose is next best.

![]() Ocean Heights |
(2) Evens(+0%) | (2) Ocean Heights Evens, Drop back from 1m4f is an unknown factor but strong form chance on his win in apprentice handicap at Doncaster last Saturday; same mark now (due to go up by 3lb in future). Won apprentice handicap at Doncaster last Saturday and escapes a penalty; leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Steps In Time |
(4) 5/1(+0%) | (4) Steps In Time 5/1, Probably needed race when well held at Ripon latest (18-1; turf debut); claims on three placed runs on the AW (at 1m-9.5f) late last year. Down the field on recent turf/handicap debut but lightly raced and retains potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sceptic |
(5) 11/2(+0%) | (5) Sceptic 11/2, Running well enough to be high on the list, last time back on grass and fourth at Leicester; used to act on good to firm; respected. Could do with settling better than at Leicester but ran okay in fourth; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Prince Achille |
(1) 13/2(+0%) | (1) Prince Achille 13/2, Bit below-par at Pontefract last time; usually consistent though and very much a contender on previous reappearance second at Beverley. Below par last time but went close at Beverley previously; player if bouncing back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Highwaygrey |
(3) 13/2(+0%) | (3) Highwaygrey 13/2, Bit more needed on latest fourth at his favoured Pontefract but that was only second run of the season for this 9yo; has won here; respected. Respectable fourth at Pontefract in race that wasn't run to suit; could be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Rampant |
(6) 14/1(+0%) | (6) Rampant 14/1, Running well at a lowly level on the AW before below-par run latest run; more needed on balance here and has hitherto been best on the AW. Good third in first-time visor in March but lesser run since and he's now 0-18. |
Having landed an apprentice handicap at Doncaster last weekend, OCEAN HEIGHTS is sure to prove a warm order. David Pipe's inmate is wisely turned out before his revised mark takes effect and a brace could be on the cards. Highwaygrey is now 1lb lower than his last winning figure and his latest fourth at Pontefract suggests that the veteran's turn isn't far away. He is feared most, ahead of the lightly-raced Steps In Time.
Preference is for OCEAN HEIGHTS, who escapes a penalty for Saturday's 2l win in an apprentice handicap at Doncaster.

![]() Alvin |
(1) 10/1(+0%) | (1) Alvin 10/1, Jinked right coming out of the stalls before travelling well for a while on debut; likely to come on for that; dam a 5f winning half-sister to the very useful Lucky Vega (6f G1 winner) Travelled nicely for a long way in 5f event at Newmarket; likely to improve; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Goldwork |
(3) 11/1(+0%) | (3) Goldwork 11/1, Looks sure to improve for debut outing; dam a 7f winning half-sister to Broderie (1m Listed winner) and Great Esteem (12f winner) Never-dangerous eighth at Ascot but shaped as if this longer trip is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Arjack |
(2) 22/1(+0%) | (2) Arjack 22/1, Was making up ground late on on debut; looks likely to improve from that experience; dam a half-sister to Gilt Edge Girl (5f G1 winner) and Godfrey Street (5f G2 winner) Never landed a blow in 5f event at Ascot; may do better over this extra furlong. |
With not much form to go on, only a tentative vote is handed to STELLAR SUNRISE, who changed hands for 130,000gns as a yearling. The son of Space Blues is bred to possibly improve as he steps up in trip, but he could show enough speed to strike at the first time of asking. Of those with experience, Alvin appeals most after making a poor start before finishing fifth at Newmarket. Any market confidence behind newcomer Mission Classified would be of interest.
The withdrawal of Sovereign Spell promotes ALVIN to first choice. Stellar Sunrise is second pick.

![]() America |
(6) 3/1(+0%) | (6) America 3/1, Not knocked about third beaten 5l in a maiden over 6f at Yarmouth debut; back in trip; should improve; big player Showed speed when fifth on her Yarmouth debut (6f); that gave her something to build on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bassenthwaite |
(2) 12/1(+0%) | (2) Bassenthwaite 12/1, Beaten 8l in a novice at Ascot on debut; this easier; should improve; chance dropped into calmer waters 33-1 when beating one home on Ascot debut; interesting to see if the market expects better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Alkuwarrior |
(1) 14/1(+0%) | (1) Alkuwarrior 14/1, Ran to form beaten 4l in a novice at Newmarket last time; this easier; winner at Yarmouth prior; threat Penty of experience and has won a race, but his penalty may again prove a stumbling block. |
An expensive purchase at the sales, FORTIFICATION's dam was a winner at Listed level for the stable and this Mehmas colt should have enough pace to strike for leading owners on debut. A promising third first time out when taking a keen hold at Yarmouth, America must enter calculations on the drop in distance, along with debutant Too Darn Good, whose dam did well over this trip.
The debutant FORTIFICATION makes plenty of appeal for a stable that has plenty of winning 2yo newcomers.

![]() Fitzella |
(3) 4/7(+0%) | (3) Fitzella 4/7, £170,000 yearling; shaped as if 6f would suit when close second to a previous winner at Ascot (5f) on debut; that looks to be reasonable form and has experience on her side now. Kept on well for close second over 5f at Ascot on debut; lots to like now upped to 6f. |
There were plenty of positives to be gleaned from FITZELLA's debut second over 5f at Ascot and that experience could prove crucial. The daughter of Too Darn Hot is bred to relish the step up in distance and she sets a good standard for the newcomers to aim at. Top of that list is Tahalel, who fetched 500,000 euros as a yearling, with Warriors Choice the pick of the remainder.
Some interesting newcomers but FITZELLA sets a strong standard having kept on well for a close second over 5f at Ascot.

(3) 4/1(+0%) | (3) Mr Hampstead 4/1, Put his rivals well and truly to the sword on return last time out; that was first handicap start and first time at 2m; shouldn't be far away up 7lbs Registered an emphatic success over C&D on handicap/seasonal debut; commands respect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Manxman |
(1) 5/1(+0%) | (1) Manxman 5/1, Ran a cracker to be a nose second in the Cesarewitch in October; came back with a good run on the AW in April; ought to be right there Progressive stayer; Cesarewitch runner-up; solid AW effort on reappearance; strong claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Contacto |
(5) 6/1(+0%) | (5) Contacto 6/1, Progressive last year; last seen finishing a good second in September; wins have come on soft, but ran it was good ground when running well last time; first start at the trip; chance Record of 1212 (all last term) since handicapping; interesting upped further in distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Trooper Bisdee |
(2) 8/1(+0%) | (2) Trooper Bisdee 8/1, Not seen since middle of the pack in the Cesarewitch; 5lbs above last winning mark; needs to return in form Looked a classic Prescott improver at one stage; a possible danger back down in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Diamond Bay |
(8) 10/1(+0%) | (8) Diamond Bay 10/1, Returned this year with a good narrow margin win here over 14f; up 4lbs asks a bit more; still appeals Won narrowly at Goodwood on reappearance; made the frame in this race in 2022 and 2023. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wonder |
(12) 12/1(+0%) | (12) Wonder 12/1, Had been in top form before below par effort last time; down 4lbs for that and has claims if he can bounce back Dual AW winner; not fully exposed over 2m; possibilities off bottom weight. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Almuhit |
(6) 13/2(+0%) | (6) Almuhit 13/2, Two hurdle wins this year; ran well last time over hurdles; three of four wins have been over further (flat and hurdles); stays well In great form over hurdles since having wind surgery; 10lb below his peak Flat mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Vino Victrix |
(7) 17/2(+0%) | (7) Vino Victrix 17/2, Came back with a decent run last time; claims from this sort of mark if coming on from return Suited by Goodwood and capable of being involved but losing spell goes back to 2022. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Tritonic |
(4) 20/1(+0%) | (4) Tritonic 20/1, Fairly useful dual-purpose performer who hasn't fired on two flat starts this year; needs to bounce back to something like his Kempton second in November Hasn't scored on Flat since 2022 and needs to improve on his 2025 AW efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bashful Boy |
(10) 22/1(+0%) | (10) Bashful Boy 22/1, Beaten at long odds in the Chester Cup most recently; this should at least be easier, but has a little bit to find Losing spell goes back almost two years; this 9yo is less appealing than most. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Aggagio |
(11) 25/1(+0%) | (11) Aggagio 25/1, Behind Mr Hampstead on return; last flat win was 2022; others make more appeal despite being 5lbs below last winning flat mark Won this race in 2022; about 10l behind unexposed Mr Hampstead here three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() King's Reign |
(9) 16/1(+20%) | (9) King's Reign 16/1, Won in September over 12f and was then not at best next time over 2m (that was soft ground though); not seen since then; worth another go at this trip on better ground; lightly raced 1m4f winner for Charlie Appleby; sold for 30,000gns since last run. |
MR HAMPSTEAD had plenty in hand when getting off the mark over C&D a few weeks ago and even a 7lb rise may not be enough to stop the unexposed son of Galileo from following up. The consistent Manxman is likely to be in the mix once again because he remains on a workable mark. Contacto edges out Diamond Bay and Trooper Bisdee to be the pick of the remainder.
Amo Racing's MR HAMPSTEAD (nap) is taken to complete a C&D double. Contacto is second choice.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Savalas |
(7) 7/1(+0%) | (7) Savalas 7/1, Below par beaten 5l in a handicap here last time; in good form prior; conditions suit; dual course winner; threat Blew it at the stalls behind Sisters In The Sky over C&D last week; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() The Cola Kid |
(10) 9/1(+0%) | (10) The Cola Kid 9/1, Ran to form beaten 3l off 46 at Salisbury last time; similar level prior; hasn't won on turf for nearly 2 years; risky Offering a bit more back on turf lately but only holds each-way claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sisters In The Sky |
(2) 9/4(+0%) | (2) Sisters In The Sky 9/4, Ran to form beaten 1/4l off 55 here last time, making good late headway just failing close home; jockey is 1/1 when onboard; serious threat if not leaving it too late Boasts consistent profile over C&D; will be 2lb higher from tomorrow; holds leading claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Southbank |
(5) 11/2(+0%) | (5) Southbank 11/2, Raced freely 5l third in a handicap at Lingfield most recent run; significant jockey booking; needs to improve turf form; could contend Has a lower mark on turf but for a reason; bit to prove without the usual tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Alshimali |
(4) 13/2(+0%) | (4) Alshimali 13/2, Slowly away beaten 7l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; top course trainer; unproven on fast ground; off a short-break; may need the run Ought to be up to winning off this mark, maybe here if settling early from a wide stall. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Outreach |
(9) 16/1(+0%) | (9) Outreach 16/1, Beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap over 7f at Wolverhampton last time; down in trip; unproven on fast ground; bit to find Rarely runs on turf or in sprints these days; wide stall won't make life any easier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cammy |
(12) 22/1(+0%) | (12) Cammy 22/1, Slowly away beaten 9l in a handicap over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; generally out of form; blinkers first time; top course trainer; more needed Poor maiden who missed a huge chunk of his career; has struggled for five different yards. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dash Gordon |
(8) 25/1(+0%) | (8) Dash Gordon 25/1, Slowly away beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap over 5f at Catterick last time; generally out of form; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; plenty to prove Hung left more than once and is some way down the pecking order for his new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Snow Boots |
(11) 33/1(+0%) | (11) Snow Boots 33/1, Below par down the field in a handicap at Wolverhampton most recent; generally out of form; top course trainer; unproven on fast ground; bit to find Regressive maiden who's still to get involved in a finish; Alshimali looks his yard's no.1. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Big Time Rascal |
(3) 50/1(+0%) | (3) Big Time Rascal 50/1, Below par beaten 8l in a handicap over 5f at Windsor last time; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; remains a maiden from 12 starts; bit to do Generally struggled for the Cole yard and has regressed for current connections. |
Only beaten a neck over C&D, when running on well towards the finish, SISTERS IN THE SKY could be primed to strike off 1lb lower, while upholding form with Savalas (fifth) from last week's contest. Southbank has never managed to actually win on turf but is well treated as a result and now represents the Chris Gordon team. The Cola Kid cannot be ruled out either.
Savalas should do better but SISTERS IN THE SKY (nap) has a lot in his favour, being 2lb well-in and having 5lb taken off.

![]() Unequal Love |
(7) 6/4(+0%) | (7) Unequal Love 6/4, Most disappointing on seasonal debut earlier this month (in a race she won last year); Gr 1 third against males over C&D last season and hard to beat if refinding that sort of form. May have needed reappearance run and holds stand-out form claims on last year's best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Rogue Sensation |
(11) 10/1(+0%) | (11) Rogue Sensation 10/1, Steadily progressive 2yo, ending with second in 7f Listed race on AW in France in November; possible improver again now; needs more on seasonal debut back on grass. Close Listed second in France on final 2yo start; unexposed and not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Prime Art |
(5) 11/2(+0%) | (5) Prime Art 11/2, This faster ground an unknown but respected otherwise, having been Gr 3 winner as a 2yo and running very well in Gr 3 on sole start last season back in July; has been off since. Returns from absence but she has Group-race form and the ability to be involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Frost At Dawn |
(2) 11/4(+0%) | (2) Frost At Dawn 11/4, Very capable filly at this level, including latest seconds at Bath and then Newmarket, when she might have won had she kept straight; leading contender. Runner-up the last twice in Listed races at Bath and Newmarket and she's one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Nighteyes |
(3) 12/1(+0%) | (3) Nighteyes 12/1, Listed winner in Ireland last summer; something evidently amiss at Newmarket on seasonal debut, when taking a false early step and losing her action; something to prove now. C&D and Listed winner last term; had an excuse on reappearance; could have a part to play. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Maw Lam |
(9) 12/1(+0%) | (9) Maw Lam 12/1, Excuses this season, when 7f probably too far (still ran okay) and then hampered last time; each-way claims on her Group-placed 2yo form at 5f and 6f. Placed in Group races last season; fair efforts this year but needs something extra today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Over The Blues |
(4) 14/1(+0%) | (4) Over The Blues 14/1, Capable filly and was within hailing distance of best form on second start of her season at Ascot last time; something to find returned to Listed company. Creditable third in recent Ascot handicap; remains lightly raced but improvement is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() French Sand |
(8) 18/1(+0%) | (8) French Sand 18/1, Promising start to career on AW this spring, last time winning a 6f maiden; may come on again on turf debut but this is much harder. Won Wolverhampton maiden by 3l last month; very bright prospect but this is vastly tougher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Proudly Yours |
(10) 28/1(+0%) | (10) Proudly Yours 28/1, Some improvement when 66-1 fourth in 6f Listed race on AW last time; even that form leaves her needing to find more. Close Listed 4th at Chelmsford latest but needs another step forward in this hotter race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Pure Angel |
(6) 40/1(+0%) | (6) Pure Angel 40/1, Ran to form when 80-1 sixth of eight in this grade at Newmarket last time; good deal to find. Sixth in Listed races on her last three starts and she's vulnerable once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Brazilian Rose |
(1) 100/1(+0%) | (1) Brazilian Rose 100/1, All four wins have been on AW; shade below-par here (good to firm) here last time; lots to find and hard to fancy. AW hat-trick in January but in Class 6/5 handicaps; looks out of her depth today. |
Having disappointed when only fifth on her reappearance at Newmarket, Unequal Love will need to improve. William Haggas' mare, who made the frame in the Sprint Cup here, would prove tough to beat judged on the pick of last year's efforts, but it may be worth taking a chance on the unexposed PRIME ART. The four-year-old offered plenty to work with when fifth in a Group 3 at York last summer and a similar performance could suffice. The in-form Frost At Dawn must also enter the reckoning.
She was underwhelming on her reappearance but last year's C&D Group 1 Sprint Cup third UNEQUAL LOVE is taken to bounce back with a win.

![]() Meribella |
(1) 10/1(+0%) | (1) Meribella 10/1, Game when landing a Premier Fillies' Handicap by a short-head off 87 over at Doncaster penultimate start (soft ground); ran to form on last start (Listed race in November); ground possibly a bit fast today Progressive at end of 3yo campaign and likely there's more to come this season. |

![]() Beset |
(7) 11/2(+0%) | (7) Beset 11/2, Won over 12f at Wolves in October; returned with a win over 10f this year for new yard; didn't have the clearest run; likely more to come and is shortlist material Progressed for Henry Candy and was good value for her recent win at Sligo. |

(5) 12/1(+0%) | (5) Loving Look 12/1, Behind Orchard Keeper and ahead of a few of these on return last time; still looks to have ability; has a chance Likeable filly but has a bit to find with Orchard Keeper on last month's Southwell clash. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dancingwithmyself |
(6) 14/1(+0%) | (6) Dancingwithmyself 14/1, Goes well at Ripon; a couple of very close seconds this year; up 2lbs; prefers a sharp track; small shout Three-time winner and twice runner-up this season; highly likely to give her running. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Orchard Keeper |
(9) 17/2(+0%) | (9) Orchard Keeper 17/2, Was in a race against a few of these last time (did best); should handle the conditions today; up 3lbs; can't dismiss Consistent filly who ran up to her best in a good fillies' handicap at Southwell. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Pique' |
(4) 14/1(0%) | (4) Pique' 14/1, In great form last year; looked like she needed it last time on return; was ahead of Overture; back to turf looks a good move Consistent as they come in handicaps last season and AW return was encouraging. |
Cases can be made for all of these, but marginal preference is for BESET. The Irish raider has won her last two starts and she may be able to defy a 6lb rise for the latest of those victories at Sligo earlier in the month. Recent Doncaster winner Bas Bleu is also going in the right direction and arrives here with strong form claims. Others to note are Meribella, Santorini Star and Pique'.
The Haggas-trained SANTORINI STAR is already smart and yet she's open to considerable improvement now raised in distance.

CINDY LOU WHO showed plenty of early dash at Windsor on her reappearance and debut for Tony Carroll's yard. She should settle better with that pipe-opener under her belt and has plenty of scope for improvement on only her third start in a handicap. Piranha Rama has a shout on her recent second at Salisbury, while Beautiful Things has eased in the weights and could make her presence felt.
Over Spiced is of interest despite a penalty for Wednesday's win but CINDY LOU WHO could step forward from her stable debut.

![]() Credit Forgedd It |
(2) 7/1(+0%) | (2) Credit Forgedd It 7/1, Well beaten at Ascot on debut (5f; 12-1); will have to be transformed to be a win contender now. £150,000 yearling but not easy to fancy after heavy defeat on last month's debut at Ascot. |
A son of Too Darn Hot, WILD DESERT is a half-brother to dual Group 1 winners Shadow Of Light and Earthlight. It will be no surprise if the Godolphin colt proves a warm order on his introduction, especially with his trainer in such fine form. Last Verse was an early foal and includes a dual Group 2 winner among his four successful relatives. He could be far enough forward to have a say, while Port Darwin is preferred of the remainder.
Godolphin colt WILD DESERT is taken to provide Charlie Appleby with yet another first-time-out 2yo winner.

![]() Savvy Victory |
(8) 25/1(+0%) | (8) Savvy Victory 25/1, Won a handicap in December off 104; didn't have the pace over 1m on return; below par last time; needs better Listed winner in 2023 but this is a stronger race for the grade; well exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sir Busker |
(9) 33/1(+0%) | (9) Sir Busker 33/1, Down the field in same race as Meydaan on return; not certain to come on for that Veteran who has scored only twice since 2020, both times at York. |
A Group 2 winner in Dubai earlier in the year, SILVER KNOTT returned to these shores with a creditable second in the Jockey Club at Newmarket. He could be tough to overhaul, despite picking up a 7lb penalty for his UAE exploits. Liberty Lane's third in the Huxley at Chester also makes him a key player, while Exoplanet proved he retains ability when returning from a lengthy absence to fill the runner-up spot in the Magnolia at Kempton.
Provided the ground is okay, LIBERTY LANE can take advantage of a good chance at the weights. Peace Man is second choice.

![]() Nuptown Girl |
(3) 9/4(+0%) | (3) Nuptown Girl 9/4, Ideally suited by trip beaten 4l in a maiden at Ascot last time; improved effort seconds start after a break up in trip; obvious claims Best effort, upped to this trip on her turf debut, at Ascot two weeks ago; this easier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Pergola |
(4) 10/3(+0%) | (4) Pergola 10/3, Too keen and showed little beaten 6 1/4l in a maiden over 8f at Newcastle on debut; up in trip; feasible threat Little chance trying to come from off a muddling pace in 1m Newcastle event; can improve. |
Placed in all three outings last autumn, BOSPHORUS ROSE should prove a stronger filly this year. This extra test of stamina will bring improvement from the daughter of Golden Horn and she gets the vote to make a winning return. Nuptown Girl looks the main threat based on her fifth over this trip at Ascot a fortnight ago, although Pergola is a likely improver.
Preference is for PERGOLA, who's taken to progress past the more experienced pair. The market will likely tell a story.

(2) 1/2(+0%) | (2) Tsuki 1/2, Shrugged off clear signs of inexperience when winning on debut at Goodwood (1m) this month; sets the standard on that form and entitled to be better for that initial experience now. Overcame evident inexperience to win at Goodwood on debut (1m, good); open to improvement. |

![]() Suite Francaise |
(1) 4/1(+0%) | (1) Suite Francaise 4/1, Winning debut on Newcastle AW (7f) back in September; more needed on first run since but this sister to Listed winner Francophone is completely unexposed. Made a winning AW debut last September (7f); that form hasn't worked out; needs more. |

![]() Huggable |
(5) 7/1(+0%) | (5) Huggable 7/1, Improved on debut form when upped to 1m and fourth to Tsuki (who holds her on that form) at Goodwood; stumbled early on then; a contender for second on that latest effort. Has shown some promise but over 6l to make up with Tsuki on their recent Goodwood run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bring Her Home |
(4) 80/1(+0%) | (4) Bring Her Home 80/1, Well beaten at Thirsk (7f; 66-1) on debut earlier this month; highly likely best watched. 66-1 when tailed off at Thirsk (7f, good) three weeks ago; no appeal. |
TSUKI ran green at Goodwood on debut, but was still talented enough to return the cosy winner. She will have learned plenty from that initial experience and the daughter of Kameko is taken to defy a penalty. Suite Francaise also made a successful introduction, over 7f at Newcastle last autumn, and this extra yardage will suit. Huggable has plenty to find with the selection on Goodwood running, although she stumbled badly and can finish closer.
Huggable may get closer to TSUKI at these weights but the Haggas-trained filly is open to improvement herself and can make it 2-2.

![]() Rey De La Batalla |
(7) 17/2(+0%) | (7) Rey De La Batalla 17/2, Has been running well this year on the AW; bounced back from a below par penultimate start last time (2 spots behind Diamondonthehill); last on only turf start Campaigned mainly on AW; ran creditably last time; something to prove back on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Capote's Dream |
(9) 16/1(0%) | (9) Capote's Dream 16/1, Close to the good pace on return (ran well); a little bit to find All wins over 6f; poor strike-rate since 2021; not the percentage call. |
MAFNOOD, a respectable third at Epsom when dropped in trip on his debut for George Baker, has the potential to find more improvement dropped further in distance and with first-time cheekpieces added. The last-time-out winners Havana Pusey and Diamondonthehill command respect. However, previous C&D winner Mister Bluebird could be a bigger danger to the selection after a game third on his seasonal debut at Musselburgh last month.
The combination of a further drop back in distance and new headgear may enable MAFNOOD to regain the winning thread.

Having returned to form with a good second over 1m here 18 days ago, VILLALOBOS looks ready to strike at this level. The Footstepsinthesand gelding will appreciate the extra quarter-mile and he may defy a 1lb nudge up the ratings. The biggest threat might emerge from C&D winner Mrembo, who is likely to enjoy the ease in class. Ladypacksapunch is the pick of the remainder.
These are GALACTIC GLOW's conditions and he is taken to end a near two-year drought. Mrembo may be best of the rest.

Narrowly denied over further behind a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton last time out, SONIC PIONEER looks the one to beat off just a 1lb higher rating. A promising third when sent off favourite for his handicap debut at Chester back in the autumn, Groundsman may improve for going up in distance on his return. Adorla Of Achill is another to note on the back of a creditable effort at Nottingham.
Last week's Newbury third GLENRIDDING could appreciate the drop back in trip and he earns the vote ahead of Adorla Of Achill.

![]() Traveling Soldier |
(4) 12/1(+0%) | (4) Traveling Soldier 12/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m7f at Leicester latest; not proven trip; returning from a break; fair mark on hurdle form; interesting at a price for in form trainer/jockey combo 0-7 under rules and has become disappointing; off four months; needs a revival. |
JIMMYJEROO has taken well to chasing and made all over 2m5f at Hereford in April. He gave the strong impression this shorter trip would suit when runner-up at Fontwell subsequently and remains on a workable mark on only his fourth start over fences. Last weekend's well-backed Bangor scorer Barranco can feature again, despite his penalty, and Jac Jumper could also make his presence felt.
This revolves around BARRANCO who is 6lb well in after his successful stable debut at Bangor six days ago.

FORT GEORGE started slowly but came home best of all to record a comfortable success when making his handicap debut at Newmarket three weeks ago. Ed Walker's gelding was arguably worth more than the winning margin would suggest and a 5lb rise might underestimate him. Transparent has yet to finish outside of the top two from four career starts and is unlikely to be far away, along with the recent Windsor scorer Sea Founder.
The verdict comprises the reappearance winners SEA FOUNDER and Fort George, who both look likely to progress further.

(17) 150/1(+0%) | (17) Slea Head 150/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability in similar events; all to do Second reserve, pulled up lame on debut, completely tailed off at Down Royal. |
The lightly-raced JAZZ DE COTTE can open his account over hurdles. Runner-up on his sole point-to-point run, the six-year-old made a winning start to his career under Rules in an Ayr bumper in April 2024. Pulled up on his first start over jumps at Tipperary back in November, he shaped much better when second at Naas last month. With the potential for further improvement this season, the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding is given the nod. Point-to-point winner Hills Of Glory is very unexposed for an eight-year-old and has one or two pieces of form that would give him every chance. Sligo third Parkgarve has scope for further improvement having only had the two career starts to date.
At a difference of 8lb the Gavin Cromwell-trained HILLS OF GLORY may have the measure of bumper winner Jazz De Cotte

(9) 28/1(+0%) | (9) Midnight Flame 28/1, 34 raced maiden; below par beaten 7l in a handicap over 6f here last time; usually consistent; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; more needed Exposed maiden for whom the return to 1m isn't the obvious solution. |
Fighting Queen supplemented her breakthrough victory over C&D when finishing a respectable second over 1m2f here last week and further progress cannot be ruled out. However, DAPPLED LIGHT drew clear of his rivals in good style at Chepstow and a 5lb penalty shouldn't prevent another bold bid. Adrian Wintle's charge edges the vote, while an improved bid from Claxton Bay now he reverts to turf wouldn't surprise.
Several possibles but the unexposed FIGHTING QUEEN has proved herself under the conditions and can benefit from returning to a mile.

(6) 100/1(+0%) | (6) Canon Law 100/1, Well beaten in a maiden at Navan only start but did finish well; hard to recommend Beaten 19l on debut and can only be watched for now. |
NOODLES has shown promise on both previous outings and should be suited by this step up in trip. The Dream Ahead gelding was beaten less than a length on debut here in March and was again putting in his best work at the finish when fourth to Joyful Tidings at Tipperary, with Sup Of Red just a short head back in fifth. The latter also made a promising start at Cork and is another for the shortlist, while Glitter And Glory didn't enjoy the clearest of runs on debut at Naas. Ipanema Queen, Dakota Dancer, Allsortz and Cuban Princess are among the newcomers to keep a close eye on in the market.
The runners with form don't set a particularly high standard so a chance is taken that the nicely-bred CUBAN PRINCESS can score.

The Julie Camacho stable has a good record here and this appeals as an ideal opportunity for CARLYLE SQUARE to get off the mark following a somewhat unlucky narrow defeat at Doncaster, when carried left approaching the final furlong. Must Believe almost broke the maiden at Wolverhampton last month and he should be thereabouts again, along with recent Yarmouth third Antelope.
The filly CARLYLE SQUARE (nap) went close on handicap debut at Doncaster despite the steady gallop being against her, and gets the nod.

![]() Cap Du Nord |
(6) 18/1(+0%) | (6) Cap Du Nord 18/1, Looked to want further comfortably held in a handicap chase at Warwick last time; generally out of form; reduced mark not enough to recommend Has won plenty during his career but now on the downgrade and has struggled this year. |
Northern Bound bounced back to form when second at Doncaster in December, but his losing run stretches back to 2022 and SAGEBURG COUNTY looks a safer proposition. Warren Greatrex's chaser found life tough in a higher grade at Chepstow, but went close at Uttoxeter prior to that and gets another chance back at this level. Soldat Forte returns from a lengthy absence, although he should have plenty more to offer over fences.
Topweight SAGEBURG COUNTY is back in easier company than last time at Chepstow and appeals as the safest proposition.

![]() Moulin Booj |
(6) 5/1(+0%) | (6) Moulin Booj 5/1, Has been in good form this year; went very close last time; now 4lbs above last winning mark; small chance Admirably consistent; should enjoy the likely pace set up here; each-way claims again. |

![]() Rocking Ends |
(7) 7/1(+0%) | (7) Rocking Ends 7/1, Ran well here in July in a class 2; looked like he needed it on return; should be fitter, but will need a little more Talented but free-going sprinter; sharper for recent run; Rossa Ryan booked; contender. |

![]() Enchanting |
(1) 8/1(+0%) | (1) Enchanting 8/1, C&D winner on penultimate start and again last year; flopped on last start; can't rule out, but needs to be fit Two C&D wins last year; absent since a poor York run in October; can fluff the start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Miss Show Off |
(4) 9/2(+0%) | (4) Miss Show Off 9/2, Things didn't fall right on penultimate start; bounced back to win last time and there could be more to come; lightly raced Easy win in a small field 19 days ago; still low mileage but an 8lb rise is tough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cinque Verde |
(8) 11/1(+0%) | (8) Cinque Verde 11/1, Winner on the AW in March; AW record is much better than turf; ran a good race last time over 6f; back down in trip; others slightly more appealing Has won on turf but better on AW; 5lb lower mark today than when a fine second latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Alcazan |
(12) 11/1(+0%) | (12) Alcazan 11/1, Ran right up to form last time on the AW; 3lbs below last winning mark (that was on turf); could have a say Two course wins over 6f; has won at 5f and this could be run to suit her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Faustus |
(11) 12/1(+0%) | (11) Faustus 12/1, Did worst of of the ones that faced each other in April; returned to form last time (19th May); needs a bit more On winnng mark and 2nd run this year was better than his reappearance; other pace on show. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kiss And Run |
(13) 12/1(+0%) | (13) Kiss And Run 12/1, Ran well on return last time; ahead of Miss Show Off, but that one didn't get a clear run; capable off this mark, but likely fighting for minor honors C&D winner; sharper for last month's reappearance; one of a number of front-runners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Marching Mac |
(5) 14/1(+0%) | (5) Marching Mac 14/1, Was in top form last year before finding a double penalty a bit much on his last start; has had a break and may just need this; not discounted though Flourished last autumn but he returns off a tough mark; others much safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Mc Loven |
(10) 14/1(+0%) | (10) Mc Loven 14/1, Gelded since last seen in February; probably needs a bit more; likes to lead Speedy front-runner who has run well in all three C&D runs; been gelded; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Almaty Star |
(3) 16/1(+0%) | (3) Almaty Star 16/1, Behind Michaela's Boy and ahead of a couple of these last time; that was well below par and if finding the form he's shown for most of the year, he's got a chance Dropped away at Epsom last time but in good form on AW previously; C&D winner; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Twilight Fun |
(9) 25/1(+0%) | (9) Twilight Fun 25/1, Down the field behind a few of these last time; needs to bounce back; likes to lead Flopped at Epsom latest but that run is easy to excuse; hugely progressive on AW before. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Michaela's Boy |
(2) 15/2(-15%) | (2) Michaela's Boy 15/2, Has been consistent in last few runs; won on turf on debut, but not since; last run was good; down 1lb; not ruled out Two AW wins over the winter; fair fourth back on turf latest; sharp 5f suits. |
Miss Show Off returned to form in no uncertain terms when on target at Salisbury recently but while respected from 8lb higher, a chance can be taken on MICHAELA'S BOY. Robert Cowell's charge may well be more at home on an artificial surface, but he showed up well for a long way in an equally as competitive sprint at Epsom last month and a 1lb ease in the handicap will do his chances no harm. Faustus showed much more at Windsor on Monday and is no forlorn hope with 7lb apprentice Jack Callan enlisted.
Moulin Booj is a reliable sort and should find this being run to suit but the talented-if-quirky ROCKING ENDS may have his measure.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wrecking Ball Paul |
(7) 20/1(+0%) | (7) Wrecking Ball Paul 20/1, Pulled up in a beginners chase chase over 2m7f at Kilbeggan latest; drop in trip a plus; inconsistent dual purpose performer; unlikely to get own way in front here AW and hurdle winner but struggling for form this year; chasing the last twice. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Peckham Springs |
(9) 33/1(+0%) | (9) Peckham Springs 33/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m6f here most recent; generally out of form; down in trip; looks regressive Last win was nearly three years ago and hasn't offered much in his three starts this year. |
Recent Wexford winner SPLENDID CHOICE can make it back-to-back victories. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding won a shade comfortably last weekend, so a 5lb rise doesn't appear that much of a burden. Although that was the first time he managed to get his head in front, it would be no surprise to see him improve further with the benefit of that confidence booster. Arcland is an interesting contender on his stable debut for Gavin Cromwell. A record of one win from 35 starts doesn't inspire confidence, but Cromwell does exceptionally well with cast-offs. Wrecking Ball Paul could be dangerous if allowed an easy time of it in front.
Gavin Cromwell's new recruit ARCLAND is worth chancing as he has threatened off this sort of mark in the past.

![]() Li Ban |
(9) 25/1(+0%) | (9) Li Ban 25/1, Below par beaten 8 1/4l in a 3yo race at Dundalk last time; off a short-break; inconsistent; needs to get back to level of UK form to figure 3yo showed some smart form at two, no impact in two starts for this yard, a bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Heart Of Darkness |
(6) 33/1(+0%) | (6) Heart Of Darkness 33/1, Down the field in a handicap over 7f at Gowran Park most recent; generally out of form; down in trip; handicapper relenting but bit to prove Won 6f maiden at Dundalk, yet to hit form for this yard, well beaten latest, needs more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Brigid's Cloak |
(13) 13/2(-8%) | (13) Brigid's Cloak 13/2, Benefited from positive ride scored by 3 1/2l off 65 at Dundalk penultimate start; second beaten 7 1/2l off 73 last time; threat AW winner, 0-6 on turf, second of 17 latest but beaten 7.5l, 1lb wrong, place claims again. |
BACK DOWN UNDER has gained both previous wins at this venue and appears versatile in terms of ground conditions. She scored over 7f on a sound surface last summer and made a successful reappearance this term over 6f on soft, with Tai Tam Bay almost two lengths back in third. There should be little to choose between Brigid's Cloak, Island Girl and Miracle Beauty, who finished close together in the places behind the impressive Unique Journey at Naas last month. Staysound Susie enters calculations on her close third to Tawaazon over a similar trip at Naas last time, while Saturn Seven and Ethical Code are others to consider.
Preference is for STAYSOUND SUSIE who ran a fine race at Naas last time out and she has run well on both previous visits to this track

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Slip Of The Tongue |
(6) 50/1(+0%) | (6) Slip Of The Tongue 50/1, Ran to form comfortably held in a handicap hurdle here last time; generally out of form; lot to find despite further ease in weights Mark is tumbling but he's struggled in six runs for current yard and others are preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() I'm A Starman |
(4) 15/8(-15%) | (4) I'm A Starman 15/8, Well treated at weights when landing a handicap by 13l off 98 over 3m1f at Warwick last time; remains thrown in on old form; can complete hat trick Resurgent 12yo who completed a double with a 13l win at Warwick latest; big player again. |
NATIVE MOON won nicely on good going at Ascot back in March. A 5lb rise doesn't look insurmountable and another bold bid is anticipated from the seven-year-old. David Pipe trained last year's winner and Chemical Warfare is worth noting reverting to hurdling off a 12lb lower mark than his chasing figure. The veteran I'm A Starman is enjoying a new lease of life and bids for a hat-trick, although this is a tougher contest than he won at Warwick last time.
This is a tight call between Native Moon and I'M A STARMAN but the vote goes to Mark Rimell's resurgent 12yo.

![]() Mazza's Mahler |
(2) 8/1(-14%) | (2) Mazza's Mahler 8/1, 11l third in a maiden over 3m at Loughanmore most recent run; unexposed in this sphere; progressive last summer; outside chance Low mileage but has questions to answer on a few counts now entering handicap company. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dylan's Chance |
(8) 20/1(0%) | (8) Dylan's Chance 20/1, Raced freely down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Clonmel most recent where did too much too soon; generally out of form; up in trip; plenty more needed Might be happier back on drier ground but hard to make a solid chase on his form so far. |
Having looked to improve for the step up in trip when second over C&D, SIGHTS UNSEEN can go one place better. The Gavin Cromwell-trained mare was twice runner-up in point-to-points, so stamina appears to be her forte. Given that she proved her effectiveness around this undulating track on her recent visit, the six-year-old has much to recommend her. Dylan's Chance is a gelding who can run well at bigger odds. Although yet to show a great deal in seven starts over hurdles, he hinted at ability when fifth at Limerick in November. Recent Sligo fourth True Destiny merits respect.
This longer trip was no problem for SIGHTS UNSEEN (nap) when she chased home the right horse here two weeks ago.

![]() Ziggy's Queen |
(5) 9/2(-29%) | (5) Ziggy's Queen 9/2, Back to form on the AW when landing a handicap by 1/2l off 67 over 6f at Wolverhampton last time; down in trip, but equally effective at 5f as 6f; big chance, but has disappointed last two starts on turf First handicap win when beating seven rivals on AW (6f) latest; not discounted. |
PROTEST RALLY won a deeper race at Musselburgh on his penultimate start and wasn't disgraced off this mark when fourth after a troubled run at Lingfield most recently. Well drawn in stall one and with 5lb claimer Cian Horgan back in the saddle, the five-year-old looks well worth another chance on these terms. The last-time-out winners Hover On The Wind, whose yard chases a hat-trick in this race, and Ziggy's Queen can fight it out for second place.
Protest Rally looks an improved performer this year and can go well but TORFRIDA might be the answer.

![]() Valencia |
(13) () | (13) Valencia , Ran to form fourth beaten 5l in a 2yo race here latest; previous form franked at Group level; steadily progressive; could figure if fit after break 0-3, smart form in defeat last year behind Swelter and in Goffs Million, the one to beat. |
VALENCIA kept good company in three outings last year, including when runner-up to the smart Swelter over a mile at Leopardstown, and she was also fourth behind better-fancied stablemate Apples And Bananas over C&D in the Goffs Million. Poweracclaim didn't enjoy much luck in running before keeping on nicely inside the final furlong when fifth to Varshini on debut over this trip at Gowran and can improve past the consistent Gran Habano, who was just ahead in third. Collecting Coin was third on debut at Cork and that form received a timely boost when the runner-up won at Roscommon on Monday.
This race revolves around the 87-rated VALENCIA(nap). The form of her last two runs stands up to scrutiny and she could be hard to beat

(1) 6/5(+0%) | (1) Jomig Des Bois 6/5, Raced freely fourth beaten 5 1/2l in a handicap hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee latest just outstayed late; consistent; thereabouts if stamina holds up Sets the standard on his two respectable runs at Bangor, the latest a handicap. |

![]() Te Deum |
(4) 7/1(+0%) | (4) Te Deum 7/1, Pulled up in a maiden hurdle over 2m5f at Huntingdon latest where needed run; modest in Ireland prior; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; hard to recommend No solid form claims but there's a suspicion that he could yet be capable of better. |
This looks like an ideal opportunity for JOMIG DES BOIS to get off the mark following a relatively promising fourth over this distance at Bangor. Returning to good ground is a plus and the eight-year-old is preferred to Manowest, who hasn't shown much in recent outings but finished placed here before and represents an in-form yard. Third over 2m at this track earlier in the month, Money To Burn may improve significantly for going up in trip.
Donald McCain's JOMIG DES BOIS rates the most likely winner after two respectable runs at Bangor.

(7) 25/1(+0%) | (7) Speranza Wilde 25/1, Below par down the field in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Down Royal most recent where failed to stay; not proven trip; more to come now chasing judged on point win; may just need this Modest hurdler but did win a point so chasing could be more her thing. |
TANKARDSTOWN DIVA can make the most of her experience against rivals who have had limited opportunities over fences. The Ian Donoghue-trained mare ran better than her final placing suggests when fifth at this track earlier in the month. Having made good headway to go second after the penultimate fence, the grey weakened on the run-in. Dropped back in trip now, she should be much more effective over what is arguably her optimum distance. Point-to-point winner Coffeys Forge remains of definite interest having had just the three starts for Gordon Elliott. He could be capable of better now that he tackles fences for the first time. The versatile nine-year-old Darkened is another with claims in a competitive affair.
A weak race of its type. Marginal preference is for TANKARDSTOWN DIVA who ran out of puff over further here last time.

(6) 50/1(+0%) | (6) Our Boy Harry 50/1, Well beaten in a maiden at Hamilton only start; plenty more needed Beaten nearly 12l at Hamilton one week ago and needs to take a firm leap forward. |
UBETTERSEETHIS has shown ability and could be up to breaking his maiden at the third time of asking. Denied by just a head on his debut over 5f here last month, Craig Lidster's colt was then done no favours when hampered early on at Beverley most recently. That form still read well and his third-placed finish could be worth forgiving. As the other three with experience need to improve, notable debutants Big Fun and Lily Pearl could present the stiffest challenges this time.
Ubetterseethis had an excuse last time and surely gets off the mark soon but the maiden FAROUGH contested on debut is working out.

Aidan O'Brien has been dominating Derby trials this season and SHACKLETON could be another winner for the Ballydoyle trainer. The son of Camelot landed the odds in a 1m1f maiden here last autumn before finishing third in the Group 3 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket, and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred to Thrice, who was no match for stablemate Lambourn in the Chester Vase. Reyenzi scored in impressive fashion on soft ground in a 1m2f Navan maiden last month, while it looks significant that Dylan Browne McMonagle rides Emit instead of Cork maiden winner Dawn Spirit.
The least exposed runner, REYENZI, was an impressive maiden winner on seasonal debut and could have the scope to improve enough.

An easy winner over C&D last week, MANALA is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming and she can bring up the double under a 7lb penalty. Runner-up on each of her two starts since scoring at Taunton in November, Chabadatika is entitled to be thereabouts again, as is Edna E Mode, who put in a career best over obstacles when second on her handicap bow at Ludlow.
This can go to MANALA (nap) who is 4lb well in under a penalty for her win over C&D ten days ago.

Punchestown runner-up SQUIRE OHARA looks to have been found a nice opportunity to register a first success on the track. Successful in a point-to-point at Loughanmore last month, the Tony Martin-trained gelding ran a big race when chasing home a short-priced favourite at the Festival. A seven-year-old who had previously shown promise under Rules before going back pointing, he is open to further improvement this season. Placed a few times over hurdles earlier in his career, Chiefs Kingdom ran well when runner-up on his point-to-point debut at Ballycahane in March. Paul Nolan's gelding looks the biggest threat to the selection, although King In The Park has to be respected coming from the David Christie academy.
Bishopscourt Cup runner-up Squire O'Hara is on the upgrade but CHIEFS KINGDOM has a more convincing profile based on hurdles form.

ARUNDEL took a step forward when filling the runner-up spot on his handicap bow at Beverley recently, pulling four lengths clear of the reopposing Cangofar (third). Ed Dunlop's gelding is officially 2lb well-in and, in a moderate heat, he looks to have every chance of going one place better. Keats House was far from disgraced at Doncaster last time and is most appealing of the remainder.
Arundel was second at Beverley last week but CANGOFAR caught the eye in third and can turn the tables.

Lightly raced on turf in recent times, the Johnny Murtagh-trained DAAMBERDIPLOMAT could represent some value. A maiden winner over course and distance, the five-year-old has shown up well in three subsequent visits to this track. Nicely drawn and fit from a recent all-weather campaign, the son of Cotai Glory has plenty in his favour. The handicapper has also given the gelding a chance by dropping him down to his last winning mark. Having shaped with plenty of promise over 5f here on his reappearance, the Eddie Lynam-trained Keke should appreciate the additional furlong and is noted along with stablemate Collective Power.
Not much went right for COLLECTIVE POWER at Naas latest and he is weighted to turn his August C&D form with stablemate Keke around

Beaten at a short price when runner-up at Market Rasen, ALL WELL AND GOOD should appreciate a return to this track. He won a NH Flat race here last summer and can get off the mark over hurdles at the fourth time of asking. Hailing from a family that the Dan Skelton team knows well, Jorah is one to monitor for market support on debut. Aslukgoes returns from a long absence, but landed a Listed bumper at Newbury in February 2023.
The tentative suggestion is JORAH, whose pedigree is interesting and who represents a top yard capable of debut winners.

Former Munster National winner ONTHEROPES can register a first success under this code since that 2021 victory at Limerick. A point-to-point scorer at Carrigarostig in January, he finished runner-up in a competitive hunter chase at Naas on his return to the track the following month. Following respectable runs at Cheltenham and Aintree, the 11-year-old filled fourth place at the Punchestown Festival earlier this month. He should find this an easier assignment than what he has faced of late. Vina Ardanza, third in a Grade 1 novice hurdle behind Jonbon and El Fabiolo at his peak, has the potential to do well as a hunter chaser. Course winner Asphalt Cowboy is young enough to improve further in the coming seasons.
This represents a big drop in class for ONTHEROPES who has run against the top hunters at Cheltenham, Aintree, and Punchestown.

MADE ALL didn't live up to his name when coming from last to scoop the prize at Catterick on his stable debut recently. It was, however, a commanding performance and may have been down to a step up in trip. With potentially more to come, he's fancied to double up under a penalty, although fellow penalised runner Agathon won't go down without a fight. Dubai Venture was a shade unfortunate when second at Beverley last time and he remains of interest from an unchanged mark.
The way MADE ALL (nap) cruised up on the outside and won with a fair bit in hand at Catterick suggests he can defy his penalty.

Recent Cork runner-up BONUS TIME can open her account at the second time of asking. Gavin Cromwell's daughter of Too Darn Hot chased home an odds-on favourite, with a well-regarded Juddmonte filly back in third. On collateral form with the third, Bonus Time appears to have the measure of Naoi. However, given that Paddy Twomey debutants often take a significant step forward second time up, Naoi should be capable of better. Cold Hearted has valuable experience which should stand her in good stead.
Bonus Time ran well on debut but SUERTE caught the eye making up ground late behind her and might be able to turn the tables

Having posted several creditable efforts in defeat in maiden hurdles, this contest should prove within range for HIGH FIBRE. A reproduction of the six-year-old's latest second at Taunton could prove sufficient and he's taken to repel likely chief rival Regal Cavalier. Max Young's charge was runner-up at a massive price at Ludlow last month and a similar performance should see him in the mix. The Great Escape is the pick of the remainder.
This looks a golden opportunity for HIGH FIBRE, who has shown plenty of promise in his four hurdle runs and sets a clear standard.

NOBLE NAME, who looked a strong stayer when rallying to finish third at Tipperary recently, can open her account. The Claire O'Connell-trained mare had previously won a point-to-point at Oldcastle and that form received a boost when the runner-up easily won on her next start. With the benefit of previous racecourse experience, the five-year-old holds leading claims. Better Times, who was fourth on that same Tipperary card, is another worthy of consideration. He, too, should be all the better for that experience. Cinammon Roll finished behind Better Times, but has to be respected given the form of Gordon Elliott in bumpers in recent weeks.
A sister to a six-time winner who started his career with Claire O'Connell, NOBLE NAME can build on her recent Tipperary third.

(3) 9/2(+0%) | (3) Maddelina 9/2, Probably cost 1/2l when impeded on promising debut third beaten 4 1/4l in a novice over 6f at Carlisle; trainer in form; returning from long layoff; may need run Third on Carlisle debut (6f, soft) last year; not seen since and drop to 5f a question. |

![]() Vibrant Pearl |
(6) 10/3(+0%) | (6) Vibrant Pearl 10/3, Wandered about a little through greenness and stumbled late on promising debut when runner-up beaten 3l in a novice over 6f at Redcar; sure to improve Good second of ten on debut; in the mix on that and should improve with drop to 5f a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Radio Star |
(5) 13/8(+0%) | (5) Radio Star 13/8, Well backed second beaten a short-head in a handicap at Wolverhampton latest; unproven on fast ground (most runs with give), but the pick on that form Fast filly; narrowly beaten last three starts; sets the standard and must go close. |
Radio Star has been knocking hard at the door recently and Ollie Sangster's filly can be expected to go close once again. That said, preference is for VIBRANT PEARL, who belied odds of 100-1 to finish second at Redcar on her debut earlier this month. The winner, albeit much the best that day, has since filled the runner-up spot in a handicap from a mark of 85, so any progress might suffice here. Market support for the 125,000-euro purchase Kodi's Queen would be noteworthy.
Radio Star richly deserves to get head in front but VIBRANT PEARL was an encouraging second on debut and can go one better.

Having caught the eye staying on late over 7f here earlier this month, AUBURN AVENUE should appreciate this additional furlong. A consistent filly last term, the four-year-old had disappointed on her seasonal debut when down the field at Cork. However, she had valid excuses as trainer Chris Timmons had indicated that his string were a bit behind. With two runs under her belt, the daughter of Phoenix Of Spain should be spot on for this assignment. Pier Pressure, who was slowly away at Roscommon last time, has every chance if breaking on terms. Cork winner Port Louis has to be considered too.
EVERYLITTLESTEP could be the answer. She was runner-up in this last year off 5lb higher and her return on soft ground can be ignored.

![]() Danny's Friend |
(10) 7/1(-8%) | (10) Danny's Friend 7/1, Did not get a clear run fourth beaten 10l in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Southwell latest; stiff track will suit down in trip; place claims back from break 0-7 over hurdles but he looks interesting dropped back to this trip on his stable debut. |
RECORD ART posted a career-best performance when making a successful return for Fergal O'Brien at Taunton. The six-year-old won going away and a 7lb higher mark is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Stable debutant Danny's Friend offered more encouragement when fourth at Southwell in December and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the market on his return. Cawthorne Banker lurks on a dangerous mark.
Preference is for course winner RECORD ART, who scored on his stable debut at Taunton last month and is open to more progress.

(7) 7/1(+0%) | (7) Mount King 7/1, Beaten 9l in a handicap at Thirsk last time when favourite, but had run very well there previous two starts, looks well handicapped on those efforts and should bounce back C&D winner; disappointed latest at Thirsk but he's a player if putting that behind him.. |

(4) 11/4(+0%) | (4) Highland Olly 11/4, Won a handicap by 1/2l off 65 at Nottingham last time; only up a couple of pounds for that so still competitively weighted, but has been below par all runs on fast ground Up 2lb for career-best win; if handling this stiffer track he should be in the mix.. |

![]() Value Added |
(6) 33/1(+0%) | (6) Value Added 33/1, May not have stayed when down the field in a handicap over 12f here most recent start, but had been out of form; this trip should suit better, but retained ability to prove 9.5f winner; has been well beaten on all three starts for current yard; plenty to prove.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() My Honey B |
(8) 40/1(+0%) | (8) My Honey B 40/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 7f at Doncaster most recent run, but in poor form on the whole; visor first time and plenty more needed Well beaten on reappearance at Doncaster; headgear now goes on; plenty to prove.. |
There doesn't appear to be bundles of early pace on show and that could benefit HIGHLAND OLLY, who made all of the running to score at Nottingham a fortnight ago. Berthed well in stall one, he might be tough to reel in once again if adopting similar tactics. Captain Corelli returns from a 241-day absence in search of a five-timer and is respected, while Commander Of Life is considered too.
Preference is for MOUNT KING, who is proven around here and was in good form prior to a lacklustre effort last time.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
