A speculative vote goes the way of HEY TRU BLUE, a 175,000gns purchase at last month's Craven Breeze-Up sales. The son of Blue Point is a half-brother to three winners and William Buick's presence suggests he will be primed for action. Rock On Thunder cost a whopping 380,000gns as a half-brother to a Group 2 winner. He's another to note, along with Halla Bil Zain, Wechaad and Whiskey Neat.
Several runners in this field of newcomers have good credentials. HEY TRU BLUE is the suggested first choice ahead of Egoli.

125/1(-150%) | (10) Harswell River 125/1, Went off big price when well held over 5f at Thirsk on debut; hard to fancy after that Well beaten seventh of ten in Thirsk novice on debut (5f, good; 80-1); improvement needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) ![]() Calypso Breeze |
33/1(+34%) | (2) Calypso Breeze 33/1, Sold for 24,000 guineas as a yearling; filly by high-class sprinter A'Ali; half-sister to Time In Motion, moderate at 6f; probably effective 6f; stable in flying form; market should reveal more By A'Ali; half-sister to Italian 5f-1m winner; likely to improve for the experience. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (14) ![]() U Heat |
150/1(-275%) | (14) U Heat 150/1, Filly by high-class sprinter A'Ali; dam moderate sprinter Beau Strata; probably effective 6f; yard quiet; best watched on debut Half-sister to Italian 1m-10.5f winner; likely to improve for the experience.. |
Having filled the runner-up spot on both outings to date, Homestrait looks sure to give another good account. However, BLEEP TEST was unlucky to bump into subsequent Lily Agnes winner Ali Shuffle on her introduction here and she could take all the beating if handling the extra furlong. Lovethiswayagain is another potential improver, while market support for Hamaleel and Going Again on debut would be interesting.
The Tim Easterby-trained BLEEP TEST showed enough when second here on her debut to suggest she can win a race like this.

1st (1) ![]() Toy Soldier |
9/4(+50%) | (1) Toy Soldier 9/4, Beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap over 6f at Windsor last time; generally out of form; up in trip; bit to find even dropping in grade Fair 7f winner in 2024; yet to hit top form this term but no forlorn hope back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Urban Sky |
2/1(+43%) | (2) Urban Sky 2/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 8f at Haydock most recent; generally out of form since debut win; not proven trip; hard to recommend Last of 11 in 1m handicap at Haydock on his return last month; he's hard to warm to. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Bust A Moon |
6/4(+25%) | (4) Bust A Moon 6/4, Ran to form second beaten 1/2l in a handicap over 5f at Chepstow latest where conceded first run; up in trip; arrives in form; strong claims Won at Beverley and very good Chepstow second six days ago; rates a big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) ![]() Cracking Man |
25/1(-79%) | (5) Cracking Man 25/1, Down the field in a handicap over 6f at Kempton most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; needs to improve Offered little both runs for current yard, last in 6f Kempton handicap 20 days ago. |
BUST A MOON has been in fine form over the minimum trip and returns to 7f with every chance. David Evans' inmate landed a seller at Beverley before going close in a handicap at Chepstow last week. He can edge out Midnight City, who has lost his way slightly since placing at Southwell in February but drops into a claimer for the first time. Toy Soldier landed a maiden over this distance last term and may prove best of the remainder.
This looks a very good opportunity for BUST A MOON to quickly resume winning ways on the back of a very good Chepstow second last time

1st (4) ![]() Brinton |
10/3(+17%) | (4) Brinton 10/3, In good form and not far off best beaten 2 1/4l off 52 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time; down in trip and switched to turf; mark is quite stiff, but essentially a weak race and will be thereabouts Won two classified events on AW; respectable effort last time and now returns to turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) ![]() Monks Mead |
6/1(+57%) | (5) Monks Mead 6/1, In very poor and gradually deteriorating form since last summer; drop back to a mile is probably helpful, but this first run on what is a very tricky course Well beaten in three starts this year, including over 1m2f last time; more needed.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) ![]() Oh So Audacious |
7/4(+42%) | (6) Oh So Audacious 7/4, In poor form this year and beaten 5l in a handicap at Yarmouth last time; does go well here and that is enough to make worthy of consideration in a weak race Dual C&D winner; didn't run badly at Yarmouth last time and she's respected back here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) ![]() Spanish Mane |
11/1(-10%) | (3) Spanish Mane 11/1, In very poor form of late; something of a Brighton specialist and mark has started to ease; chance may find form, but risky Well beaten in both starts since going close on her reappearance; needs to return to form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) ![]() Danehill Star |
4/1(-113%) | (1) Danehill Star 4/1, Yard has won 2 of last 4 runnings of race and had bit in hand landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 54 over 9f at Wolverhampton last time following up win there previous start; down in trip and visor, which has seemed key, is missing 2-2 since the visor was applied; drops back in trip on a sharp track and unproven on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) ![]() Roscioli |
9/1(-29%) | (2) Roscioli 9/1, Form has been going the wrong way since about 4l 3rd off 64 here in October; switch back to turf and a track that suits may bring a revival Off since failing to beat a rival home at Kempton in February; needs to bounce back.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) ![]() Senseofentitlement |
66/1(-32%) | (7) Senseofentitlement 66/1, Missed a chunk of time between July 2023 and February 2024 and has failed to recapture form since that break; cheekpieces first time smack of desperation and first run at track Struggled in five starts for this yard; needs the cheekpieces to make a difference.. |
In a moderate event, it is hard to oppose DANEHILL STAR, who arrives here on the back of two impressive wins at Wolverhampton last month and a 6lb rise for the most recent of those may still underestimate the four-year-old. Brinton could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Oh So Audacious and Spanish Mane should not be written off.
Danehill Star has to be respected but OH SO AUDACIOUS has dropped back to her last winning mark and can gain her third C&D win.

1st (4) ![]() Rommie The Miracle |
17/2(-31%) | (4) Rommie The Miracle 17/2, Ran to form beaten 2l off 60 over 12f at Beverley last time; winner has boosted that form; up in trip; may contend Best run when third over 1m4f at Beverley last time; 1m6f should suit; could go well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) ![]() Captain Brett |
11/4(+8%) | (5) Captain Brett 11/4, Slowly away beaten a head off 47 over 12f at Kempton last time; where outstayed late up in trip; unproven on fast ground; could figure but stamina worries Improved in handicaps this term but didn't look easy when head 2nd on AW latest; possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) ![]() Maywedance |
18/1(-50%) | (2) Maywedance 18/1, Ideally suited by trip beaten 2 1/4l off 66 over 11f at Windsor last time; cheekpieces first time; looks on fair mark but stamina concerns up in distance Last of four over 11.5f latest (3rd has won since); first run at 1m6f; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) ![]() Requiem |
11/10(+41%) | (1) Requiem 11/10, Improved effort beaten 2l off 64 over 12f at Haydock last time; up in trip; looks typical improver for this stable as trip increases; the one to beat Improved in h'caps this term, best run when 2nd over 1m3f latest; 1m6f may suit; contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) ![]() Brave Emerald |
11/2(-22%) | (3) Brave Emerald 11/2, Yard won this last year; looked to want further comfortably held in a novice over 8f at Nottingham last time; top course trainer; not out of it significantly up in trip on handicap bow Third in a maiden over 1m4f on 2nd start; poor last time; chance up to 1m6f on h'cap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Max The Tiger |
16/1(-60%) | (6) Max The Tiger 16/1, Slowly away beaten 2l off 45 over 12f at Beverley last time; closely matched with Ronnie The Miracle on that; up in trip; touch mroe required Best run 2nd last time but not sure to confirm form with third-placed Rommie The Miracle. |
Although she finished last of four over an extended 1m3f at Windsor earlier this month, MAYWEDANCE might relish this stiffer test of stamina. Adrian Nicholls' filly is effectively racing off 9lb lower in the ratings if taking Jack Nicholls' claim into account and a breakthrough victory may beckon. Rommie The Miracle posted an encouraging third on her handicap bow at Beverley a fortnight ago and she's feared most, ahead of recent Haydock runner-up Requiem.
The unexposed BRAVE EMERALD is taken to get off the mark on his handicap debut by beating recent Haydock runner-up Requiem.

2nd (1) ![]() Alfareqa |
9/4(+10%) | (1) Alfareqa 9/4, Well backed when winning a maiden at Doncaster over 7f by 2l last time overcoming greenness; up in trip; touch more required to defy penalty Ready winner of Doncaster maiden; open to fair bit more progress at 1m; excellent claims. |

40/1(+20%) | (10) Shirazi 40/1, £5,000 breeze-up purchase by Persian King; half-sister to Arakiel, moderate at 6f as 2yo; dam poor at 8f; yard better known for jumpers; best watched Persian King filly; others appeal more on this occasion. |

Pina Sonata did it nicely at Wolverhampton last month and can feature again, despite a penalty. ALFAREQA is also penalised for winning over 7f at Doncaster, but the daughter of Frankel seemed to have plenty left in the tank and she gets the vote with the promise of more to come over this extra distance. Jim Crowley sticks with the selection, rather than Itraaq, although the expensive Haggas newcomer could still make her presence felt.
Owen Burrows' Frankel filly ALFAREQA really warmed to her task when scoring at Doncaster and is taken to come out on top now up to 1m

5/2(-25%) | (3) Senorita Vega 5/2, Impossible task from wide draw having to weave through traffic and finished as if plenty to come when 4l third in a maiden at Chester on second start; may have won that race with a good trip and can gain compensation here Commendable third from stall 11 in valuable Chester maiden this month; good chance here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) ![]() Sparkling Pink |
40/1(-60%) | (8) Sparkling Pink 40/1, Well beaten in a novice over 5f at Southwell only start; up in trip; plenty more needed Showed only minor promise when sixth on Tapeta last month; moves up from 5f today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) ![]() Storm Flag |
7/4(+47%) | (4) Storm Flag 7/4, Ran green and finished as if plenty to come on decent debut, but disappointing last time; top trainer in form; up in trip and in easier company; big chance No serious threat at Ascot this month but her debut in April was quite promising. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) ![]() Echoofmymind |
11/4(+63%) | (2) Echoofmymind 11/4, Fair effort on debut when beaten 6l in a maiden over 5f at Doncaster; up in trip; should improve and place chance Recovered well from sluggish start to take very respectable fifth of 13 on Doncaster debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) ![]() Jane Of The Jungle |
22/1(-83%) | (5) Jane Of The Jungle 22/1, 20 Apr; 17,000gns Bungle Inthejungle filly; half-sister to Toccataa, useful at 7f; dam useful at 6f at 2yo; market will guide Out of half-sister to Nunthorpe runner-up Que Amoro; has fairly good standard to reach. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) ![]() Rejjien |
66/1(-100%) | (7) Rejjien 66/1, Well held when impeded briefly late and eased after in a novice over 5f at Bath only start; up in trip; off a short-break; difficult to fancy Last of nine when 14-1 for last month's debut at Bath (5f); needs to take big step forward. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) ![]() My Sarah Bear |
14/1(-17%) | (6) My Sarah Bear 14/1, 27 Feb; 15,000gns Kodi Bear filly; half-sister to a 2yo winner; dam half-sister to a 10f Group 3 winner; will probably need the experience on this tricky track Half-sister to a French/Spanish 5.5f-7f 2yo winner; makes her debut here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) ![]() Diamond Peak |
15/2(-50%) | (1) Diamond Peak 15/2, 12 Mar; 22,000gns Pinatubo filly; half-sister to Original Outlaw, very useful at 6f; hood first time a worry, but yard do have youngsters competitive first-time out Out of a half-sister two Group/Grade 1 winners; wears a hood on debut, though. |
Senorita Vega sets the standard following her third at Chester, but marginal preference is for ECHOOFMYMIND. Michael Bell's youngster displayed plenty of promise when fifth on her debut at Doncaster 10 days ago and the daughter of Showcasing is entitled to improve significantly for that experience. Any market support for Diamond Peak, a nicely-bred Pinatubo filly, would have to be noted.
Tom Dascombe's SENORITA VEGA did very well to take third from a wide stall in a useful Chester maiden and looks the one to beat.

250/1(-150%) | (1) Mazza 250/1, Well beaten in a novice over 8f at Wetherby only start where missed the break; up in trip; all to do Always behind over 1m at Wetherby last month on belated debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) ![]() Celestial Odyssey |
25/1(-56%) | (10) Celestial Odyssey 25/1, Beaten 6 1/4l in a maiden over 8f at Newcastle on debut; trainer in form; up in trip; bit to find switched to turf Only sixth of seven, beaten about 6l, in 1m AW maiden at Newcastle. |
MAFTING has gone agonisingly close on his two starts to date and looks a winner in waiting at this level. The son of Too Darn Hot can make it third-time lucky, possibly at the main expense of War Supremo. The Crisfords' gelding posted his best effort to date when third at Chelmsford earlier this month and a similar performance on his turf bow should see him involved. Burj Zabeel and Bin Ajwad are others of interest.
Mafting has suffered two short-priced defeats but he's the form choice. An interesting alternative is BURJ ZABEEL.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (12) ![]() Sir Kenny |
50/1(-100%) | (12) Sir Kenny 50/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 8f at Yarmouth most recent; usually consistent; hood first time; not proven trip; bit to find and must settle better Has offered little in his four runs; a hood is reached for now with plenty to find. |
Aim For The Bull has run with credit in two starts since being gelded and should be thereabouts if he handles reverting to turf. Galette is a potential improver with a first-time visor added, but the fitting of the same headgear could provide the missing ingredient for ME TARZAN. A respectable third over a mile at Yarmouth last month, the James Fanshawe-trained gelding looks well worth another try over 7f given that form has worked out well since.
Stuart Kittow's filly FREEDOM BAY (nap) is taken to build on her promising fourth at Wolverhampton and get off the mark.

1st (7) ![]() Twilight Guest |
15/2(-67%) | (7) Twilight Guest 15/2, Looked unenthusiastic when 7 1/2l third in a handicap at Yarmouth most recent run; not badly handicapped and has run well here once (last of 6 the other time); hard to like 0-28 overall but comes here after two pretty good efforts at Yarmouth. |

16/1(-357%) | (2) Platinum Prince 16/1, Won a Goodwood heavy ground handicap by 2 1/2l off 55 three starts back and close to that form both starts since, latest in November; won here back in 2022 on good, but does seem to prefer soft and is off a break; chance all the same As good as ever last summer/autumn; returns from break on fairly tough mark, though. |

4th (3) ![]() Imperial Cult |
9/4(+55%) | (3) Imperial Cult 9/4, Disappointing last two starts having been a creditable 2 3/4l 3rd off 66 at Newmarket final start of last term; drop back in trip may help and likes sharp downhill tracks; one to consider, but needs a return to form Yet to hit top gear after two runs this year but will appreciate this slight ease in grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) ![]() Joycean Way |
11/1(-38%) | (4) Joycean Way 11/1, Missed 14 months between 2023 and January 2025 and is yet to show retains a semblance of former ability; one to watch until new level is established Soundly beaten in all three handicaps for new stable this year; cheekpieces tried today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) ![]() Dubawi Time |
16/5(+20%) | (1) Dubawi Time 16/5, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap at Ripon on seasonal debut and won a Yarmouth handicap final start of 2024 by 1 1/2l off a 62; should strip fitter and contender Ended last season with a soft-ground win but recent reappearance run was disappointing. |
TWILIGHT GUEST's two placed efforts at Yarmouth earlier in the month suggest that he could be successful in a race of this nature. Platinum Prince sprung a surprise at Goodwood last October and has to be of interest on his return to action, while Dubawi Time disappointed on his seasonal debut at Ripon but it is far too soon to be writing him off.
Preference is for IMPERIAL CULT (nap), who did well in 2024 and ought to be approaching concert pitch on his third run of this campaign.

7/1(+36%) | (4) Spirit Of The Bay 7/1, Probably needed race beaten 2 1/4l off 64 over 11f at Windsor last time; let down by slow start that day; down in trip; contender off much reduced mark Infrequent winner of late but shaped well on reappearance; not certain to back that up. |

5th (3) ![]() Naturalia |
33/1(-83%) | (3) Naturalia 33/1, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap over 11f at Hamilton latest; down in trip; outside chance though best form has come on easy ground 1m1f soft-ground winner last year but below best last three starts, including reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) ![]() Kaaress |
14/1(-75%) | (2) Kaaress 14/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 4l off 66 at Beverley last time; unproven on fast ground; squeak on old AW form but bit to prove Exposed sort but running creditably this season and should give a good account. |
JET BLACK put in a career best when filling second place on her handicap debut over this trip at Nottingham recently and Andrew Balding's filly is hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Spirit Of The Bay could prove to be the main threat following her encouraging comeback effort at Windsor, while Kaaress is another with valid form claims.
This can go to JET BLACK (nap), who showed improved form over 1m2f on handicap debut last time, form that has been franked by the third

22/1(-175%) | (2) Sychell 22/1, Going probably on fast side fourth beaten 8l in a novice at Redcar latest; inconsistent; conditions a concern for handicap debut Has a useful pedigree and may be capable of progress now handicapping. |

9th (10) ![]() Juno Star |
28/1(-100%) | (10) Juno Star 28/1, Ran to form 8l third in a maiden over 7f at Wolverhampton most recent run; down in trip; unproven on fast ground; in the mix if handling it off lenient opening mark Modest third last time but may post a bigger effort now handicapping. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) ![]() Coeur Jaune |
8/1(-14%) | (4) Coeur Jaune 8/1, Ran to form beaten 4l off 69 over 7f here last time; generally consistent; hood first time; down in trip; bit to find on these terms May settle better and show progress back sprinting in first-time hood. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (1) ![]() Baileys Jubilation |
12/1(-50%) | (1) Baileys Jubilation 12/1, Below par beaten 2l off 72 over 5f at Wolverhampton last time; up in trip; fast ground suits; each way player Only 1-12 and fairly exposed; admittedly on a handy mark on best form. |
SYCHELL's recent fourth behind a now 85-rated opponent at Redcar has a solid look in the context of this race. With a step forward, the Archie Watson-trained filly could be very capable of blowing her opening mark of 70 out of the water. Iconnic is another handicapping debutant who could have a say now she is gaining in experience. Sixteen One, Baileys Jubilation and Coeur Jaune are all more exposed but hold each-way appeal.
Back in this sphere, another chance is given to COORAMOOK. Second choice is Iconnic.

2nd (1) ![]() Intervention |
3/1(+33%) | (1) Intervention 3/1, Game when scored by a length off 79 at Lingfield in March and back that up next time at Pontefract, but form has fallen away last two starts; likes sharp tracks so chance could bounce back Below his best at York last time and record now reads 1-33 on turf; others preferred.. |

4th (5) ![]() Uncle Dick |
10/3(+17%) | (5) Uncle Dick 10/3, Bit better effort last time beaten 3l off 71 over 8f at Kempton; usually held up; down in trip; won here off a 71 back in August and that makes a contender Yet to win over 7f but he loves it here and has to be respected now 1lb below his last win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) ![]() Oj Lifestyle |
4/1(-146%) | (3) Oj Lifestyle 4/1, Well backed when landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off 70 over 8f here last time despite running quirkily and that was back in Seoptmeber; cheekpieces first time; returning from long layoff; down in trip and stiffer mark all worries, but on a going day would win this Won twice here over a mile in blinkers last season; cheekpieces now on and claims if ready. |
Having proved a different proposition when recording a double at this venue in blinkers last season, Oj Lifestyle warrants respect in his hat-trick bid. However, the five-year-old may be worth taking on dropping back in distance and with cheekpieces on instead. SECRET STRENGTH arrives on the back of a close-up fourth at Chelmsford and Shaun Lycett's charge might prove the solution on his return to turf. Little Boy Blue can run well fresh and is also noted.
Oj Lifestyle has claims on his return but LITTLE BOY BLUE is proven fresh and is taken to win this race for the second time.

7th (1) ![]() Misemerald |
10/3(+5%) | (1) Misemerald 10/3, Ideally suited by trip beaten 1/2l off 64 at Nottingham last time where forced wide; unexposed at 1m; well treated on old form; threat 0-11 in handicaps but nearly put that right when upped to 1m last time; possibilities. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) ![]() Northern Cracksman |
15/2(+6%) | (8) Northern Cracksman 15/2, Raced freely beaten 6l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; in good form prior; top course jockey; may not relish fast ground; off a short-break; each way claims if proving as effective back on turf Likely player on the pick of his 2025 AW form, which includes two wins. |

10th (10) ![]() Cuban Fiesta |
16/1(-167%) | (10) Cuban Fiesta 16/1, Game when landing a handicap by a neck off 58 at Newcastle last time; unproven on fast ground; contender if proving as effective back on turf In good form on Newcastle AW for new stable and opened his account last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) ![]() Snapcracklepop |
10/1(+29%) | (2) Snapcracklepop 10/1, Below par beaten 9l in a handicap over 10f at Windsor last time; returning from long layoff; down in trip; just 1lb above last winning mark; likely to need this Record of 3-26 for the Muir/Grassick yard; makes stable/seasonal debut. |
MISEMERALD appeared to improve for the step up to an extended mile when a close second at Nottingham and the Philip Kirby-trained four-year-old tops the shortlist, despite a 1lb rise. Recent Newcastle winner Cuban Fiesta has to be noted following that success, although his previous turf form is a concern. Others to note are Poet's Dawn, Northern Cracksman and Ravishing Beauty.
Kept to this distance and grade, MISEMERALD could well build on her latest effort and register a belated first handicap success.

10th (3) ![]() Tequila Star |
22/1(+12%) | (3) Tequila Star 22/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a novice at Pontefract last time; not proven trip; needs to improve and all best efforts have come on easier ground Fifth at Pontefract in October; gelded and may still do better on first go in handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) ![]() Koko Blue |
50/1(-150%) | (8) Koko Blue 50/1, Made too much use of beaten 5l in a maiden at Ascot last time; that very strong form; opening mark lenient; can make presence felt Solid sixth in maiden at Ascot 18 days ago; much respected now going into handicaps. |
ANTELOPE was a ready winner over this trip at Haydock on Friday and has an obvious chance of following up under a 6lb penalty, assuming this doesn't come around too soon. Karthon, Pivotal Affair and Westcombe are interesting handicap debutants to monitor in the betting, but Masterinthewoods wasn't beaten far when third at Goodwood and could be a bigger danger to the selection off the same mark.
Lots with chances but Sir Mark Prescott's WESTCOMBE appeals as the sort to take a sizeable step forward now handicapping.

11/4(+39%) | (8) Makes Me Wonder 11/4, Quickened to win convincingly when landing a handicap by 3/4l off 52 over 8f at Yarmouth last time; down in trip, but is not short of pace; small, athletic type that should handle track; more to come, big danger Made a winning turf debut over 1m at Yarmouth off 4lb lower; returns to 7f; contender.. |

13/2(+35%) | (2) Equalised 13/2, Appeared not to stay beaten 7l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; beaten about 5l off a 68 previous start and mark does seem on the stiff side still based on one good run at 2yo Best efforts at 6f on AW and he faded when upped to 7f at Lingfield (turf) last time.. |

7th (3) ![]() Red Admiral |
8/1(+11%) | (3) Red Admiral 8/1, Fair effort first run back after a wind operation on penultimate start, but well beaten on handicap debut latest; something to prove Well beaten on handicap debut at Bath (1m) last time; since been purchased for 4,600gns.. |

8th (5) ![]() Princess Qajar |
20/1(+9%) | (5) Princess Qajar 20/1, Well beaten last two starts and mark looks to be based on minor promise on debut (only other start); hard to fancy Failed to build on her debut effort last year; drops to 7f on handicap/turf debut.. |
MR UBIQUITOUS had little difficulty in completing a double over C&D last week and another bold bid is forecast. The son of Massaat's 6lb penalty is effectively halved by Kaiya Fraser's claim and he may confirm his superiority over runner-up Callout. Jack Morland's gelding is likely to be involved with a similar performance, although a bigger threat may emerge from last month's Yarmouth winner Makes Me Wonder.
Makes Me Wonder won on his turf debut at Yamourth but MR UBIQUITOUS is taken to follow up his C&D win and complete the hat-trick.

8/1(+27%) | (6) Tortoiseshell 8/1, Ideally suited by trip 4l third in a maiden at Newcastle most recent run; bit too keen that day; returning from a break; unproven on fast ground; bit more needed on handicap debut Best run when third in AW maiden in January; should improve on handicap/turf debut; chance. |
BANTZ has shown improvement on the all-weather this year and carried that over to the turf when scoring at Doncaster. Gemma Tutty's son of Kodiac looks worth sticking with in his current frame of mind, raised only 4lb. I Can Boogy beat Perfidia by a neck over C&D last week, but the runner-up failed to get a clear run and it would be no surprise if he turned the tables.
In what looks an open race the unexposed TORTOISESHELL is taken to win on her handicap/turf debut. Perfidia is next best.

|PU| (10) ![]() Queen Of The Kings |
66/1(-200%) | (10) Queen Of The Kings 66/1, Pulled up in a maiden over 3m at Loughrea latest; tongue-tie first time; back in trip; all to do on rules debut Pulled-up on sole point start but from a smart family so isn't dismissed; market can help. |
Beaten into second when 4/11 at Limerick on her penultimate start, JANES HARBOUR somewhat redeemed herself at Punchestown. A never-nearer fourth of 22 in a fiercely competitive handicap, she should appreciate this return to calmer waters. Atlantic City and Gordon Elliott's Rhythm Of Life (first-time cheekpieces) were third and fourth in that aforementioned Limerick contest and reoppose. The Ciaran Murphy-trained former finished just half a length behind the selection and it will come as no great surprise if she manages to reverse the form. Elliott also saddles newcomer No More Silver and she warrants respect with Sam Ewing aboard, while Radar Ahead is another for the shortlist.
But for a bad error at Limerick last time, ATLANTIC CITY would surely have finished in front of Janes Harbour and she can win.

15th (16) ![]() Wild Eyed Girl |
100/1(-52%) | (16) Wild Eyed Girl 100/1, Appeared not to stay down the field in a handicap over 6f at Chelmsford most recent; usually held up; returning from a break; up in trip; bit to find off what looks stiff mark Offered little in two runs for current yard either side of Christmas; others preferred. |

16th (14) ![]() Honrado |
33/1(-50%) | (14) Honrado 33/1, Raced freely comfortably held in a handicap over 12f at Brighton last time; generally out of form since returning from Ireland; may not relish fast ground; bit to find Beat just one home at Brighton 19 days ago; drops markedly in trip with lots to prove. |
With only Dumfries boasting any recent winning form, plenty needs to be taken on trust. The betting could provide some clues where the likes of Gherkin, Bibendum and Ajrad are concerned, while reverting to turf could assist Dashing Donkey. However, a chance is taken on the well-handicapped DEVASBOY. Running off 23lb lower than his last winning rating, it would be dangerous to allow the six-year-old to slip under the radar.
This could go to DASHING DONKEY who returned with an encouraging Chelmsford third and now figures only 1lb above his last winning mark.

Having only been collared inside the closing stages over track and trip recently, compensation could be on the cards for POP DANCER. Tony Carroll's sprinter makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark and is taken to repel chief threat Rebel Star, who supplemented her victory at Yarmouth with two creditable efforts in defeat and is likely to be in the thick of the action once more. Arlecchino's Gift may fare best of the remainder.
Rebel Star is consistent but POP Dancer is taken to double his tally for the year after finishing runner-up over C&D six days ago.

25/1(+24%) | (9) Ivasecret 25/1, Raced freely down the field in a handicap over 8f at Dundalk most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; returning from a break; all to do and looks regressive Exposed 7yo who has only won on the AW and faces a tough task on these terms. |
THE REAL SCREAMER hasn't been running badly in handicaps and travelled well on soft ground at Navan last month before finishing third. He should run his race in this claimer. It was a much better contest than this that Spy finished sixth in on his return to action at Roscommon. All the forecast rain will be music to his ears as he was a close second over hurdles on soft ground at Sligo last summer. Church Mountain is another that will be far from inconvenienced by a deluge as he landed a handicap on rain-softened ground at Limerick last month. Conversely, rain doesn't look ideal for Signor Ferrari who has been in decent form on the Polytrack in Dundalk.
Marginal preference is for THE REAL SCREAMER who brings some consistency from handicaps.

10th (11) ![]() Peachey Carnehan |
66/1(-65%) | (11) Peachey Carnehan 66/1, Below par down the field in a handicap over 7f at Chepstow most recent; better form on AW of late; down in trip; lot to find Veteran who has weak claims on recent form. |
Paul Midgley trained last year's winner and his Masterclass steps back up in trip under a penalty after scoring over 5f at Nottingham. However, SO GRATEFUL won over this distance at Thirsk on his latest start and a 3lb rise may not be enough to anchor him, with a leading amateur in Serena Brotherton taking over the reins. Four Adaay has eased in the weights and is not out of it either.
The shortlist is headed by KURIMU and Let's Go Hugo, who are interesting alternatives to the two last-time winners in the field.

4/1(+20%) | (3) Solar Drive 4/1, Did not get a clear run beaten 9l in a handicap over 12f at Roscommon last time; up in trip; course winner; highly tried when last seen over hurdles; not ruled out Dual-purpose, rated 121 won maiden here on good, handles soft, looks the main danger. |
In against rivals of the same age, this looks a good opportunity for LAST KINGDOM. Upped 13lb for a smooth success at Fairyhouse, he subsequently finished second to a stable companion at Killarney. The forecast rain won't inconvenience the 129-rated bay and it will be disappointing if he fails to deliver. Competing on the level of late, Solar Drive has a course win to his name. An also-ran in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham, he should be able to make his presence felt with Darragh O'Keeffe aboard. Chortal made the breakthrough on his sixth start over flights at Bellewstown last month and is open to further improvement. A respectable fifth in two bumpers, Le Diablo is the most interesting of the remainder.
LAST KINGDOM is well treated by the race conditions, the forecast rain is in his favour and this looks a good opportunity for him

KEVIN THE GREAT could be worth chancing on his second start. His debut sixth in a big field over further at Navan certainly wasn't devoid of ability and it showed that he can handle slow ground. In addition, that form has been well franked. Donnacha O'Brien saddled a treble at the Curragh last Sunday and his Churchill filly Candidly merits a market check ahead of her debut. Ger Lyons introduces Sonoran, a son of Arizona, and similar sentiments apply to him. Willie McCreery takes the wraps off Winters Breath and she shouldn't be ruled out, while Pete's Dream can build upon an opening fifth behind an impressive winner at Leopardstown.
It may pay to take a chance on PETE'S DREAM, who would have finished a lot closer at Leopardstown with a clearer run

14th (5) ![]() Kilooney Hill |
200/1(-100%) | (5) Kilooney Hill 200/1, Pulled up in a 4yo bumper at Listowel latest where very green and missed the start; all to do Pulled-up in a Listowel bumper on debut last September; can only be watched on return. |
Out of a sister to Voler La Vedette, Western Princess ran her best race to date when third at Wexford recently and she should be able to make an impact in a contest of this quality. For a selection, though, NET BOY gets the nod. Third of 22 when last seen at Fairyhouse, a reproduction of that effort would be good enough to win this. Third on his debut over flights earlier this month, Noticebox (first-time hood) is sure to have plenty of supporters, while the Joseph O'Brien-trained Nitty Gritty and debutant Eye On The Ball are others of note. A 78,000-euro Goffs Arkle sale purchase, Kamikaz Du Plessis would be of definite interest if getting a run.
NET BOY has the strongest form and can score even though his best form is on easier ground.

20/1(+39%) | (5) Irish Fighter 20/1, 18 Feb; 25,000 euros Profitable colt; yard in good form of late but no juvenile winners to date this term Stable has few winning 2yos first time out; best watched. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) ![]() Red Savitar |
4/1(-20%) | (8) Red Savitar 4/1, Had benefited for debut experience 4 1/4l third in a novice at Kempton most recent run building slightly on decent debut effort prior; sets the bar of those with experience, fair claims Third of five in both starts on the AW; sets the standard, but not an insurmountable one. |
The one that appeals the most is DIAMOND ALEXANDER, who is a full-sister to the multiple 5f winner Democracy Dilemma as well as being a half-sister to the Group 3-placed Angel Alexander. However, this could be an informative maiden and Jungle Monarch, Bone Marra and London Is Blue also boast captivating pedigrees. Red Savitar sets the standard on form but already looks vulnerable to more precocious types.
The vote goes to JUNGLE MONARCH whose stable is enjoying another fine year with 2yos first time out.

28/1(+15%) | (9) Igetakickoutofyou 28/1, 27 Mar; 5,000 euros Bungle Inthejungle filly; dam fair at 7f at 2yo; stable runs a couple; market should reveal more Bungle Inthejungle filly a 5,000Euros yearling; likely all the better for the experience. |
SPRING IS HERE began her career in Listed company in the Curragh and outran her odds when beaten just over two lengths into fourth. The winner has followed up in a Group 3 to endorse the form. Spring Is Here's full brother won a Group 3 on testing ground, so she ought to handle slower conditions. Rogue Legend is a contender, but has to give 9lb to Spring Is Here. He got off the mark with a comfortable success on his second start which had connections eyeing the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. Baby Basma warrants respect on the back of a debut victory in Cork, while Pints In Peace showed up well in fourth at the Curragh.
Rogue Legend is greatly respected but may find the concession of 9lb to SPRING IS HERE too much

Three of these stand out, with preference for COME ON THE LADS. An eyecatcher on more than one occasion in maiden company, he ran a cracker on his handicap debut at Killarney earlier this month, finishing third behind a pair of Willie Mullins-trained inmates. Back in calmer waters now, he looks the one to beat. Second when 4/6 on his debut over flights at Down Royal, it will come as no surprise if Fairbanks manages to go a place better. A smart performer on the level in the UK, he was purchased by current connections for 65,000gns. Firebrand was eighth of 25 in a quality heat at Fairyhouse in November and considering he had four subsequent winners behind, it will be disappointing if he's not involved towards the business end.
A classy Flat sort, FAIRBANKS(nap) ran a cracker to be just denied at Down Royal on hurdling debut and will take beating.

John and Thady Gosden send out a couple of notable contenders and, while the penalised Newcastle winner Cajole is probably the first in the pecking order, the booking of Oisin Murphy for Nahraan also suggests that connections mean business with this attractively-bred debutant. Even so, there was lots to like about KING AL's tenacious winning debut at Haydock on his sole start as a juvenile and that proven willing attitude could be decisive on his first start back.
The Gosdens' well-bred filly CAJOLE looks the one to beat after this month's Newcastle success.

BEST SUGGESTION ran a fine race on debut in Navan when beaten two lengths into third. Granted normal improvement, he should be heavily involved. He's due to encounter slower ground, however, his sire won a Group 3 on soft ground. Shoney is going the right way after a fourth place in Dundalk and a runner-up berth at Sligo. She is housed in stall one and has plenty going for her. This Ain't Texas began his career in a hot race at Naas almost a year ago and wasn't disgraced in fourth. He didn't build upon that at Cork in October, but there is still time for him to do so. There is likely to be more to come from expensive-purchase Morally Sound.
Viamonte shades it on form but could be vulnerable to less exposed 3yos Shoney and BEST SUGGESTION, the latter preferred

5th (5) ![]() She Is Electric |
22/1(-83%) | (5) She Is Electric 22/1, Pulled up in a beginners chase chase over 2m4f at Kilbeggan latest; down in trip; significant jockey booking; thrown in on old Listed form; needs to prove ability remains after lay off Dual hurdle winner incl' over C&D; pulled-up over fences back after having a foal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Flidais |
7/2(+42%) | (6) Flidais 7/2, Well backed well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m2f at Kilbeggan latest where went too fast; top jockey back on board; good mark on form here last summer; danger Won over fences in spring and not a bad C&D fourth; below form at Kilbeggan since. |
The only four-year-old in the line-up, MAXIOS PRIME might be able to get the better of her older rivals. A winner at Fairyhouse in February, she since ran well to finish third in a valuable contest at Cheltenham last month and had some smart sorts in behind. Nicely treated by the conditions of this race, it'll be disappointing if she's not involved towards the business end. Second on her debut for Eoin Griffin at Clonmel, it'll come as no surprise if Miss Gherkin manages to go a place better under champion conditional Tiernan Power Roche. One of two John Ryan-trained representatives in the line-up and fourth in this very contest 12-months ago, Flidais should give a good account of herself, while Fratas and Dame Rapide are others for the shortlist.
Though raised 3lb for finishing second at Clonmel last time, MISS GHERKIN could improve from that first run since February.

1st (2) ![]() Jeans Maite |
7/2(+65%) | (2) Jeans Maite 7/2, Below par beaten 4l in a handicap at Southwell last time struggling to find level again; enjoys making it; CD winner; significant jockey booking; on threatening mark but needs revival Front-runner and dual C&D winner but not at her best since returning last November. |

2nd (7) ![]() Hint Of Humour |
10/1(-82%) | (7) Hint Of Humour 10/1, Did not get a clear run 3l third in a maiden over 6f at Lingfield most recent run and can be marked up; top course trainer; down in trip, suits; looks well-weighted, major player 0-5 but has shown ability; market may indicate what is expected back from 138 days off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) ![]() Startling |
7/2(+0%) | (5) Startling 7/2, Weak in the market beaten 1/2l off 61 here last time but only narrowly denied; consistent; cheekpieces first time; big player C&D winner and a close third back here in her last two starts; cheekpieces on; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) ![]() Bella Love |
12/1(-20%) | (3) Bella Love 12/1, Below par beaten 8l in a handicap at Beverley last time from tricky draw; form is erratic; mostly struggled since handicapping but best effort on Tapeta; bit to prove but not out of it 0-9; held in both starts since returning for this yard last month; more needed. |

5th (1) ![]() The Feminine Urge |
11/4(-69%) | (1) The Feminine Urge 11/4, Game when landing a handicap by a neck off 65 at Windsor last time dropped back to 5f; bit below par only try on Tapeta (here over 7f); 5f suits; big player if track not too sharp Dual turf winner including last time but three efforts on AW leave something to be desired. |

6th (8) ![]() Madame Fenella |
12/1(+57%) | (8) Madame Fenella 12/1, Poor when down the field in a handicap over 7f at Southwell most recent; generally out of form; return to 5f should be a big help; better expected but needs big upturn Not in much form lately and a record of 2-32 doesn't inspire confidence. |

7th (4) ![]() Colors Of Freedom |
10/1(+60%) | (4) Colors Of Freedom 10/1, Below par down the field in a handicap at Lingfield most recent back on turf; much better on AW; CD winner last run of 2024; better expected back over ideal conditions but needs more Dual C&D winner last autumn; 4lb higher than for her last win but still high on the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) ![]() Jake Loves Laura |
8/1(+0%) | (6) Jake Loves Laura 8/1, Ran to form beaten 1 1/2l off 61 over 6f here last time showing decent pace; unproven at trip, may suit; on fair mark and threat if coping with drop back to minimum 0-8; has shown ability including when third here last time; certainly worth a go over 5f. |
From a rating of just 67, carrying top-weight might not be insurmountable for THE FEMININE URGE, who is readily suggested as the one to be with. Only raised 2lb for her determined effort when scoring at Windsor 22 days ago, the daughter of Mehmas could be tough to pass if she replicates the effort here. The low-mileage Hint Of Humour can be competitive on just her second start in a handicap. Startling is a viable alternative with first-time cheekpieces tried.
Still on her last winning mark, STARTLING (nap) should find this race is run to suit her closing style.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) ![]() Emerald Harmony |
4/1(+60%) | (3) Emerald Harmony 4/1, Yard won this last year; scored by a head off 77 at Bellewstown three starts back; went too fast last time; C&D winner; can make presence felt Below best at Navan last time and good bit to find with Harry's Hill and Bold Optimist. |
A combination of the handicapper loosening his grip and a recent wind operation saw HARRY'S HILL bounce back to form in second at Navan. He was only collared in the closing stages of that higher-grade contest which bodes well for this assignment. Fair Taxes was backed down to favouritism for a valuable handicap in Chester this month, but finished sixth. He was in a consistent vein of form before that outing. Bold Optimist was a place behind Harry's Hill in third at Navan and has three lengths to find. He has been dropped 4lb, though. Sturlasson is really plummeting down the weights and is going to spark back into life sooner rather than later.
Harry's Hill deserves plenty of respect, but a chance is taken on the improving 3yo SARAHMAE

A competitive affair, with the Edward O'Grady-trained ORDER OF THE DANCE the suggestion. O'Grady has started the new season well, saddling three winners in recent weeks. A runner-up at Kilbeggan and Clonmel respectively, the selection is still relatively unexposed and looks capable of taking a race of this quality. A case can be made for many others, with Dream Escape the second choice. Third at Gowran in November and not beaten that far in two starts since, it'll be interesting to see how he fares returning from a five month break. Katakana is back from an even longer absence and she looks capable of making her presence felt with Darragh O'Keeffe aboard, while others for the shortlist are Zero Fighter, who won on the level at Roscommon recently, and handicap debutant I Am Mimi.
Narrow preference is for KATAKANA. She is ground versatile and she shaped with promise in a C&D maiden here last year.

GOLSPIE finished runner-up over course and distance on a couple of occasions prior to a recent third at Newcastle. Beaten only a length last time, he coped well with the step up to this grade and the son of Ribchester looks worthy of another chance back at this venue. Serious Look bids for a hat-trick of course wins and he may prove a bigger threat than last month's Lingfield winner Molly Valentine.
The vote goes to C&D winner BEARAWAY who should be suited by the return to this trip.

|PU| (6) ![]() Moment Of Prayer |
300/1(-140%) | (6) Moment Of Prayer 300/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability in bumpers or all over hurdles; back in trip; all to do Tailed off in a bumper and was 150-1 when departing early on hurdling debut. |
KILMEADEN's runner-up spot in a maiden at Ballinrobe received a massive boost when the winner followed up in good style in Listed class at Navan. Galileo colt Kilmeaden holds an entry in the Irish Derby and sets a more than useful standard. Given the form of Paddy Twomey's stable, newcomer Pharos Freedom is of interest. It is worth noting that Twomey saddled the horse that beat Kilmeaden in Ballinrobe, so he will have a handle on what is required. Light Up The Dark didn't cut much ice in another maiden at Ballinrobe, however, she is a Listed bumper winner and a return to slower ground will definitely help her. Ardashir is another debutant worth checking for market strength.
The form that KILMEADEN (nap) produced at Ballinrobe looks all the stronger now with the winner following up in a Listed race.

28/1(-12%) | (10) Derby Rock 28/1, Ran to form comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 2m5f at Thurles last time; longer trip a plus; chance if fit off lenient opening mark Handicap debutant, no impact in maidens but well-bred and could improve, check market. |
Even more competitive than the previous contest. A dual winner over fences at Thurles in March, SPINNING WEB will attempt to exploit his lower hurdles mark. Pulled up when last seen in a valuable contest at Punchestown, he returns to flights for the first time since October and steps up in trip. Out of smart six-time winner Bonny Kate, Tell Nobody Nothin wasn't beaten far on his last two starts and is the second choice with Donagh Meyler aboard. Successful here last month, the locally trained Tomas O Maille is sure to have plenty of supporters, while a case can be made for a whole host of others. Handicap debutants Boston Jury and Je Suis are both of interest, with Ladiam, Kingkong Ciergues and Westernersunrise others for the shortlist.
TOMAS O MAILLE won over a furlong shorter here last time, he is ground versatile and he may be able to defy a 5lb rise.

12th (2) ![]() Naughty Niall |
18/1(-13%) | (2) Naughty Niall 18/1, Below par beaten 7l in a handicap over CD last time; generally goes best on Tapeta; off a short-break; trip stretches stamina; inconsistent but squeak if giving best Narrow winner at Southwell in December but began this year with two lesser efforts. |
DORS DELIGHT has yet to win but went close to doing so when narrowly beaten here last month. The daughter of Havana Grey is taken to go one better off the same mark and confirm latest running with Trusty Scout. The latter finished fifth that day and he can feature again, while Bitacora is worth a second glance after landing a classified contest here.
Ex-Irish 4yo LATIN makes his stable debut from a workable mark and could provide James Owen with another success story.

12th (8) ![]() Beer With The Boys |
10/1(+60%) | (8) Beer With The Boys 10/1, Ran to form beaten 2l off 54 over 1m6f at Sligo last time; down in trip; has dropped to attractive mark; consistent; contender Quite keen on his return from an absence at Sligo (1m5f, good) so did well to be placed. |
BILLIE FRECHETTE is holding her form on the Flat and over hurdles really well and could double her career total. She hasn't been out of the first four in her last eight races under both codes and was successful over 2m at Dundalk in March. Plunkett Street has to be feared after winning in Cork last month. The fact that the placed horses both came out and won on their next starts enhances his case off 5lb higher. Slieve Bearnagh was mowed down by the winner in Limerick, but finished well clear of the remainder in second which gives him claims. Beer With The Boys and Tassarolo are others to consider.
Any number with chances but the suggestion is BILLIE FRECHETTE who has been holding her own under both codes this year.

DOCTOR STEINBERG looks the one to beat. Out of action for almost a year after finishing third on debut, the E95,000 Tattersalls Derby Sale purchase returned at Clonmel in March. Second to Sunny South West, who has won again since, at the Powerstown Park venue, he encouragingly drew 17-lengths clear of the third. Well-supported and sent off an odds-on chance on debut at Wexford last summer, Jisco De Brem is of definite interest. While he disappointingly finished eighth at the Bettyville circuit, he scoped dirty post race and is given the chance to redeem himself now. The winner of a point-to-point on his second start at Quakerstown in November and subsequently purchased by current connections for E32,000, Hickeys Hill warrants respect. The Gordon Elliott-trained Rapid Redemption can't be discounted on debut, while Ned In The Park is another for the shortlist.
If the Willie Mullins' trained DOCTOR STEINBERG repeats the form of his Clonmel second he should be hard to beat.

Tralee Girl prevailed by only half a length when odds-on favourite at Windsor earlier in the month. However, SOLAR PASS returned the impressive winner of a maiden over a mile at Lingfield in January. A half-sister to stablemate and 1m4f winner Mount Atlas, Andrew Balding's filly is expected to improve further for this longer trip and could be the one to side with. Pure Theory is next best.
In-form Tralee Girl is much respected but SOLAR PASS came on plenty as a 2yo and could do even better this year.
Ths is the racecard key.
