(8) Alazwar 11/1, Ran to form when beaten 1½l over 10f at Chelmsford last time. Likes to force the pace and remains of interest at this distance. Yard won this race last year.

(9) Liberated Lad 33/1, Returned to form when third over 1m6f at Wolverhampton. That effort suggests he may need a stiffer stamina test than this 10f trip provides.

(4) Tex 16/1, Showed promise on handicap debut when narrowly beaten over 8f at Kempton off 67. Moves up in distance and has a notable jockey booked, making him one to watch.

(1) Dawn Of Liberation 9/2, Better than the bare form when winning by 4l off 66 at Nottingham last time. Has returned to form and, based on recent runs, has been well handicapped. Looks suited by this 10f trip.

(10) Unplugged 3/1, Ran to form when 2l behind off 63 at Haydock over 12f. This shorter trip isn't a worry, but turf efforts haven't quite matched his all-weather form.
Ran well when fourth at Haydock recently and today's shorter trip may suit better.

(6) Enthused 9/2, Backed and back to form when narrowly denied at Brighton over 12f. The drop to 10f raises a question, but the trainer is in good form and the horse ran well last time.
His last Flat win came back in 2022 but he went close at Brighton recently; respected.

(2) Obsidian Knight 9/1, Hampered late when beaten under 2½l at Yarmouth; may have finished closer with a clear run. Down 1lb here and should remain competitive if getting better luck.
0-13 on turf but with a clear run it's likely he'd have gone close at Yarmouth recently.

(5) Ellexis 18/1, Fourth at Bath in a visor last time, beaten just over 7l. Needs to step forward from that and there's no strong reason to expect immediate improvement.

33/1(-230%)
(7) Meadram 33/1, Unable to match previous Chelmsford win when fourth there last time after a short break and a 3lb rise. Needs to recapture the level of that earlier success.
Won at Chelmsford (AW) in March but the suitability of turf is questionable nowadays.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

On target at Beverley last month before following up in fine style at Nottingham latest, DAWN OF LIBERATION is officially 3lb well-in under a penalty and is fancied to complete his hat-trick. Stepping up in trip ought to suit Tex, who was only beaten a neck into fourth over the mile at Kempton recently. As is par for the course in these amateur riders' events, the booking of Simon Walker is noteworthy. Enthused found one too strong at Brighton last time but still merits respect.

Preference is for DAWN OF LIBERATION, who won by 4l at Nottingham recently and is 3lb well-in under a 5lb penalty.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Lil Brother nearly pulled off a 50/1 shock when second at Bath on his only start and is likely to enter calculations. G'Emmethegreenlite caught the eye when running on into fourth at Hamilton after a slow start and he can only improve for that experience, but newcomer FLYING COMET gets the nod. Bought for 350,000 euros at the Breeze-up sales, the Havana Grey colt certainly looks the part and he could make a winning start to his career for the Crisfords.

Flying Comet is an intriguing newcomer but G'EMMETHEGREENLITE could leave his debut effort well behind him today.

Arc Shadowfax won on turf at Redcar on his second start in May 2023 and he has his first run for Gary Harrison now after leaving the Seb Spencer yard. If brought back to his best, he could go well, but recent form points to HINITSA BAY, beaten less than a length over a mile here last month on his second start back after missing all of 2024. Zina Colada completes the shortlist.

The second here by HINITSA BAY last time stands out as the best recent form and he is taken to go one better.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content,

Moonfall is certain to prove popular having gone well in defeat on both of his racecourse appearances. A step up in trip could unlock some improvement but, although respected, a chance can be taken on YACHTSMAN. The Lope Y Fernandez colt fetched 125,000gns as a yearling and his pedigree suggests he will not lack for speed. The John and Thady Gosden yard has been in fine form of late, so it would come as no surprise were he to mount a serious challenge on debut. Cape Orator is also noted.

Preference is for CAPE ORATOR, a 280,000euros yearling who can build upon his promising debut sixth here last month.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

SNOW BERRY has a good record here, with three wins and three places, and showed signs of a return to her best when a half-length second over course and distance last month. Upped 2lb for that, she could still prove good enough in this field. Free Pic intrigues having weakened over further on all three starts and she makes her handicap debut off a lowly mark, but Mrs Trump looks a far bigger danger. Only beaten a neck at Beverley in May, a repeat of that display would see the five-year-old in the mix.

Snow Berry and Mrs Trump should go well but PAPA DON'T PREACH (nap) can resume winning ways back at 5f.

ALMERAQ stepped forward from his runner-up effort at Newbury when running out an easy winner over C&D last October on soft ground when making all. Faster ground is unlikely to be a concern and he gets the vote to defy a 7lb penalty. Spy Chief is the danger after going under by a head over this trip at Kempton, while Correspondence is an interesting newcomer for Harry Eustace.

This looks to between the easy course winner ALMERAQ and Spy Chief and, despite his penalty, the former is preferred.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content,

TIME TO TURN was unable to justify favouritism when beaten by a stablemate on his debut at Haydock, but that colt has since won the Woodcote at Epsom and looks a top prospect. There are some nice newcomers going to post, including the Wathnan-owned Circle Of Magic, but Charlie Appleby's charge can step forward to land the spoils. There is plenty to recommend the George Boughey-trained Mcmurray on paper and he warrants a market check.

Godolphin colt TIME TO TURN finished second at Haydock on his debut and the form has been franked. He is taken to go one better.

SEA FORCE should prove popular here after finishing second on both starts this year when beaten a neck at Doncaster and a head at Newbury over seven furlongs. As a son of Sea The Stars, the step up in trip may bring improvement. Cameron Highlander seems his biggest rival after a highly promising debut in third at Newcastle for the Coles, leaving Give Me The Night as a horse with plenty of potential for Mark Rimell and he could be the surprise package.

This looks a golden opportunity for SEA FORCE to get off the mark. Newcastle third Cameron Highlander is the obvious danger.

Araifjan was not disgraced in third at Beverley last month. A place might be the best to hope for if KRANJCAR repeats his Brighton second effort over a furlong further. Racing off the same mark, connections might want to strike quickly. Professor Tickle also makes the shortlist after his neck Brighton second off 1lb lower and may be the one to follow the suggestion home.

Preference is for ARAIFJAN, who is proven here, is in good form and could be worth chancing in an open heat.

This can go the way of the gelded BOUBYAN, who caught the eye on his handicap debut at Windsor last month when running on for third, having endured a rough passage. The son of Churchill gets to run off an unchanged mark and is preferred to Kempton scorer Orchard, as well as Castro Aurum, who should be suited by dropping back in trip having won at Bath over 1m on her penultimate outing. Others to note include Condotti, Mahogany Bay and Something Splendid.

Having looked an unlucky loser when third on his recent handicap debut at Windsor, BOUBYAN (nap) can make amends off the same mark.

MYSTERYOFTHESANDS is an infrequent winner in truth but, having won at Beverley on his penultimate start, he was far from discredited when fifth in warm York contest latest. This isn't as competitive and Tim Easterby's charge could notch up another success, although A Major Payne will be a real threat judged on his recent Kempton second. Waiting For Love enters handicaps from a potentially workable mark and is of interest on his first outing since December.

A Major Payne should go well but slight preference is for MYSTERYOFTHESANDS, who ran well in a big field at York last time.

Raavi only had a half-length to spare when he edged out GORGEOUS MR GEORGE over 6f at Wolverhampton last week and the latter can turns the tables with his old rival being 2lb wrong at the weights under a 6lb penalty. With Latona, Prada On Parole and Rock Master all struggling to find their level, the handicap debutant Amarachi won't need much of a step forward to be the best of the remainder.

After a better effort last time, GORGEOUS MR GEORGE may have more to come back on turf and is the suggestion.

Recently appointed as retained jockey to Juddmonte, Colin Keane can get his new role off to the perfect start by landing this valuable novice contest aboard BLUE BOLT. The daughter of Blue Point impressed when making all at Windsor last month and she is narrowly preferred to Consecrated, who drops in class after a respectable fourth in Listed company at York. Majaz and Seren Star are both open to improvement.

Blue Bolt impressed at Windsor but CONSECRATED still looked a work in progress when fourth in a Listed race at York.

Although only seventh of nine when attempting 1m2f for the first time at Ripon, there was plenty of encouragement from WAIT AND HOPE, who built on that to score at Redcar next time. Ruth Carr's four-year-old is only 3lb higher today and with the potential of more to come over this distance, he could go in again. The Pug was no match for an improver at Windsor latest but he merits respect from an unchanged mark, while others to note include Made All and Saachi.

Made All is unexposed over middle distances but WAIT AND HOPE still looks well treated despite going back up 3lb for his Redcar win

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

JUNGLE RUN can be difficult to overhaul when he gets the fractions right and this previous C&D winner looks the answer in a tricky little sprint handicap. Although last of five on his most recent start, two subsequent winners came out of that race and Tom Clover's six-year-old has a decent chance of following suit. Thunder Star is also a track-and-trip winner that must be taken seriously in this company, while Frank The Spark should also be capable of a bold showing.

The relatively small field suggests that JUNGLE RUN may get his own way up front and he could take some catching.

This looks like an ideal opportunity for TWISTING PHYSICS on handicap debut following a narrow defeat on only his third career outing at Carlisle last month. A mark of 84 could underestimate the four-year-old and he may have too much for Victoria Cup winner Hickory, who will appreciate dropping back to 7f. Better known for his exploits on the all-weather, Grand Karat is not to be ruled out, likewise Dorney Lake.

It might be worth giving SURREY SHADOW another chance back at 7f, after he was a bit lit up over 1m at Sandown a couple of weeks ago.

Bellator Bullet got off the mark at the seventh attempt when winning a similar race over this distance at Redcar last month, but an added 5lb for a half-length win looks harsh and he may have to settle for a place. Rommie The Miracle has a similar profile and may also get involved, but DEEP WATER BAY could have their measure. Stepped up to 1m4f at Wolverhampton after unplaced runs over a mile, he won by two lengths when keeping on well and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop him following up.

Bellator Bullet has a progressive profile but DEEP WATER BAY left the impression he has more to come last time and he can follow up.

BROWNSTOWN won a barrier trial at Naas last month and the third, Little Sure Shot, gave that run a boost when going close here last week. The Gavin Cromwell-trained filly is out of a juvenile winner and is from the family of smart two-year-old Beauty Crescent. Dancing Saxon is a half-sister to two winners including Dancing Gemini, who landed the Group 2 bet365 Mile at Sandown this spring, while Unforgettable Face cost 150,000 euros at the Goffs Orby Sale last autumn and is another newcomer to note along with Red Autumn. Glamazon showed promise on debut at Roscommon, while Innumerable and Sara La Belle are others to consider with previous experience.

INNUMERABLE gets the nod. Stephen Thorne's filly ran with credit behind some smart horses in a pair of maidens to date

Dovey Moon could take advantage of the terms of this race and holds obvious appeal after romping home by four lengths in a weaker event at Chepstow last month. Unexposed over a mile, he won't need to find much to follow up here. However, the class-dropping HOT LIKE ME has been given a chance and she could be ideally placed to stamp her authority if swapping a visor for blinkers provides the missing ingredient. Handicap debutant Take The A Train is the pick of the rest.

In a weak race, DOVEY MOON (nap) looks capable of defying an 8lb rise for a ready success at Chepstow 13 days ago.

The hat-trick seeking Mesaafi is 3lb well-in and is a player if recent exertions haven't taken their toll. However, this is deeper than the two races he won on the all-weather and he's reluctantly passed over. Fellow last-time-out winner ABBEY HEIGHTS shades preference. The David and Claire Kubler-trained gelding was a zestful winner at Kempton last month and has enough scope to brush aside a 6lb rise. Coup De Force and Tan Rapido are each-way alternatives.

Mesaafi has good claims but it might be worth chancing JUSTCALLMEPETE on his C&D form last year with rain about.

LYNWOOD LAD is the only runner in this line-up to have won last time out and although having to give 5lb or more to his rivals, he could still show these a clean pair of heels if the five-year-old remains at the same level under Tom Queally. Timebar ran well at Leicester in fourth last time out but remains a maiden and may have to settle for a place, so perhaps the main threat may well come from Korroor, after running on late over shorter at Leicester.

Enderman is a danger to all at this level but the return to 6f can see KORROOR win his second race of the year.

SHAKAZIA took a nice step forward from her debut here last autumn when reappearing over a mile at Naas last month. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly had Sindria about four lengths behind when beating all bar Sound Of Lightning and shouldn't be inconvenienced by this drop back to 7f. Lavender Breeze is a half-sister to six winners and the daughter of Kodiac, who cost 120,000 euros as a yearling, won a barrier trial at Naas last month. Eastern Peace showed promise last year including behind Bedtime Story in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes at the Curragh but needs to bounce back after disappointing at Fairyhouse last week.

A race that revolves around one horse and if SHAKAZIA can reproduce her recent Naas second, it should be good enough

CROWD QUAKE made it three wins from his last four when on target over C&D a fortnight ago and although 6lb higher today, there may well be more to come from the Night Of Thunder gelding. He gets the vote ahead of Visibility, who was also successful over this track and trip last time. Ratafia showed plenty more when able to hit the frame at Redcar latest and he enters calculations from an unchanged mark.

This looks to be between Crowd Quake and VISIBILITY and the latter, who may be slightly better treated, is preferred.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

LIEUTENANT LILY debuts in a handicap off a very workable mark. The daughter of Cracksman outran odds of 33/1 to finish a respectable third in a novice race over 1m2f at Goodwood most recently, where the fitting of a tongue-tie was instrumental in that improved effort. With the application retained and the step up in trip a source of progression, Tom Ward's filly looks worth chancing in a wide-open finale. The Godolphin-owned pair Dangerman and Desert Shadow both command respect, while Sudu and Vilaine Verlaine can also figure.

The step up to 1m4f could be a positive for the well-bred SAN MUNOZ, who can get off the mark. Stormy Monday is second choice.

Denied by the narrowest of margins over further at Ffos Las last week, MCGREGORS CHARGE looks capable of gaining compensation dropping in distance off 4lb higher. That may be at the main expense of Traveling Soldier, who was well beaten when second here last time out but should appreciate going back up in trip for in-form connections. A capable sort on his day, Jimmyjeroo may also have a say in proceedings.

Preference is for JIMMYJEROO, who was slightly below form over 2m here recently but was running well at around 2m4f beforehand.

Newcomer Enhancer commands respect on his first start, but racecourse experience counts and this may go the way of the Sean Woods-trained PAROLE OFFICER. Sixth at Leicester on his debut last week, he showed signs of greenness but appeals as the type who will progress from that display. Champion Island is another to consider after he came home fourth at York last month and he might be the biggest danger.

The standard is set by CHAMPION ISLAND and he remains capable of better now stepping up to 7f for the first time.

COMANCHE BRAVE won a Cork maiden last year and made a bright start this term when runner-up to subsequent French Guineas winner Henri Matisse in a Group 3 over C&D. He was far from disgraced when fifth to Field Of Gold in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and should appreciate this drop back to 7f. Mutasarref's four course wins include this Group 3 last year and the seven-year-old is holding his form well as evidenced by two placed runs here this season. There is little to choose between Copacabana Sands and One Smack Mac on running at Naas last month, while Royal Zabeel and Cowardofthecounty are others to consider.

The vote goes to Irish 2,000 Guineas fifth COMANCHE BRAVE, whose run behind Field Of Gold in the Classic sets a very high bar

Charlie Johnston has his horses running well and Timeforshowcasing looks interesting on her debut as a daughter of Showcasing, with Jason Hart booked to ride. Somebody came home runner-up for the second time at Newmarket when put in his place by Logi Bear, and he could be the one to chase home JANE OF THE JUNGLE. Fifth at Brighton on debut, she stepped up to finish second over C&D last week and is expected to have further improvement to come.

Jane Of The Jungle ran well over C&D last week but she may find SOMEBODY too strong this time.

LTO Selection:hiden content,

WOODLAND ADVENTURE made a strong impression when scoring on debut at Cork last month at the main expense of a subsequent winner, and a penalty may not be enough to prevent her from remaining unbeaten. Trainer Shark Hanlon has a good record here and Jury Belle, who was an easy winner of a point-to-point last month, is one to monitor for market support. Princesse Milania appeals most of the remainder.

This has the look of a modest bumper and Cork winner WOODLAND ADVENTURE must have every chance of following up.

Last seen in Listed company at the Curragh on Guineas weekend, MASOUN should appreciate this return to calmer waters. A dual winner when in the care of Johnny Murtagh and purchased by current connections for 105,000 euros, he wasn't beaten far when fourth on his penultimate start. A place ahead of the selection on that occasion, Lady Lunette has since disappointed at Gowran, but as a course and distance winner it would come as no surprise if she were able to bounce back. Tipperary winner The Real Screamer, Expound, who seeks a hat-trick having been successful under both codes recently, and UK import Beauty Generation are all sure to have plenty of supporters. It'll be interesting to see how San Aer fares too, after he finished a never-nearer fifth of 18 on his most recent start at the Curragh.

If the ground doesn't dry out, it could pay to side with CATENA ZAPATA, who stayed on nicely at the Curragh recently

CHEEKY STANLEY won here over a furlong further in March but pulled too hard to see his race out at Kempton last month and has been gelded since. If he is allowed to bowl along in front dropping back in trip, he may prove difficult to catch. She Went Whoosh won at Lingfield off her current mark and warrants serious consideration, despite top-weight. Jagetme wasn't beaten far in third at Salisbury and could grab another placing.

The most solid option is JAGETME (nap), who has finished placed in both her handicaps and still has potential after only five starts.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content,

KITESURFER scored readily at Ludlow in April and wasn't beaten far when attempting to follow up at Huntingdon most recently. That was a tactical race and, running off the same mark, Jamie Snowden's gelding can return to winning ways. Porter In The Park is better than she showed at Haydock last month and is feared most. Deploy To Spy commands respect with Sean Bowen in the saddle.

There might still be more to come from KITESURFER (nap), who kept on strongly to win quite stylishly at Ludlow in April.

It might be worth taking a chance on TISCOMMONKNOWLEDGE in this fiercely competitive affair. A solid fourth on her return to action here last month, first-time cheekpieces could spark some improvement. Tachos went up 7lb for winning over this course and distance last week, although Sam Coen is able to negate that rise with his claim. Sure to have plenty of supporters, it would come as no surprise if the Dermot Weld-trained four-year-old were to go close. Summer Snow and Thrifty Of Digby are others bidding to back up recent wins, and it will be interesting to see how handicap debutant Shaool fares. A beaten-favourite on her penultimate start at Roscommon, cheekpieces are now deployed.

Last week's C&D comeback winner TACHOS makes a quick return and can follow up, with Sam Coen's claim offsetting her 7lb penalty

EXPLODE improved from first to second start when runner-up over 1m here last time out and the step up in trip may be just what is needed to see this son of Sottsass get off the mark for in-form connections. A disappointing favourite when weakening in the final furlong over further at Chester last month, The Pouncing Lion is capable of bouncing back after a gelding operation. Arjwan and Zaaeem look to be the pick of newcomers for leading owners.

Preference is for EXPLODE, who sets a good standard on his two placed efforts this spring and is open to progress upped in trip.

SOUL LIMBO was booked for at least third when he took a tumble in a similar race over this C&D last month and can banish that memory if Bryan Carver keeps him more focused in the latter stages. He may have learned plenty and Harry Fry's gelding is well worth another chance. Irish raider Portetta warrants close inspection in the betting, while Claim Du Brizais and The Great Escape are other notable options.

One with pretty solid claims is Irish filly PORTETTA, who made a pleasing start to her hurdling career when second at Tipperary in May.

Down to a career low mark of 59, EL BELLO might be able to defy top-weight in this competitive affair. Third on his two starts at the Curragh earlier this season, he did well to finish seventh when drawn widest of all on his penultimate outing. While disappointing at Listowel latest, he could redeem himself. Harbanaker and Saxon Kingdom are both bidding to follow up on their recent wins, with the former successful over course and distance from 5lb lower in April. Beaten by a neck in a 20-runner Naas contest last time, Roderick is sure to have plenty of supporters with Shane Foley aboard, while others for the shortlist are Starting Monday and three-time course and distance winner Smaoineamh Sile.

Naas second RODERICK should stay this longer trip and can score despite a wide draw again

A few with chances, including the progressive Our Lil, who won with a bit in hand over C&D last time out. A 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold showing, but this can go to JANWORTH. Well clear when coming to grief at the final hurdle at Southwell on Monday, Jamie Snowden's mare can make amends if none the worse for that tumble. Fakenham winner Back In The Bay must be considered too.

A lot will depend on how Janworth comes out of her Southwell fall on Monday. BACK IN THE BAY gets a marginal vote over Our Lil.

DOLCE FAR NIENTE appeared to win with a bit in hand when able to shed the maiden tag at Fairyhouse on Friday. She must shoulder a penalty for that success, but the daughter of Zoffany still looks competitively handicapped. Deuteronomy was another to belatedly get off the mark recently and a subsequent 7lb rise should be no barrier to further success for the Robbie Burns-trained six-year-old. A runner-up on her second start in handicap company, Academe is open to further improvement, while Famous Enough, Cleopatra's Needle, Still She Blooms and Sayfa Fad are others to consider.

Reportedly in-foal, last week's Fairyhouse winner DOLCE FAR NIENTE (nap) is taken to follow-up despite a high draw

BEAMING LIGHT was backed from 28/1 down to 13/2 on his debut for David Loughnane and were it not for a troubled run, would surely have justified the support with a win. Assuming the five-year-old negotiates a smoother passage, he can gain compensation for that narrow defeat here. Several of the rest have been struggling to find their form but the likes of Laurentia, who is a previous C&D winner, Mitigator and Saved Lizzie all hold each-way chances based on peak efforts.

Beaming Light caught the eye on stable debut but SAVED LIZZIE returns here off the same mark as when runner-up over C&D in October.

Dutch Finale was a comfortable winner at Lingfield last week but a 6lb penalty and wide draw hinder his chance of a quick follow-up success. With that in mind, it might pay to side with NUBOUGH, who dead-heated for first place over C&D last month and his proven liking for this circuit is very persuasive factor. H Key Lails and Gundogan are a couple of others that could ensue the low-drawn contenders have a big say this time.

Gundogan looks as if he will be suited by the step back up in trip but DUTCH FINALE is well bred and should take plenty of beating.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
