BOND BROKER was well beaten into second at Ludlow last month, but sets the standard on his chase bow with a rating of 120. Paul Nicholls has his string in fine order at present and the gelding could make it four wins from his last five outings. Handlethekettle made every yard to score easily at Taunton last month and is another to take seriously on his fencing introduction, while King Roly isn't ruled out either.

Any of the three could win but HANDLETHEKETTLE may have the most scope for improvement now sent over fences.

DIAMAND DE VINDECY posted a personal best on the Flat when he won over 2m2f at Pontefract on his penultimate start. Given he wasn't beaten far when attempting to make all off this mark at Ripon most recently, the Robert Bevis-trained six-year-old is well worth another chance. The Craftymaster is dangerous to underestimate, while The Crafty Mole is respected back up in distance now he has a recent start under his belt.

Preference is for THE CRAFTY MOLE ahead of Diamand De Vindecy.

TWO PLUS TWO made every yard to complete a double at Bath eight days ago and should have no issues with this step back up trip. The five-year-old is in the form of his life and could prove very hard to beat. Wannabeawallaby finished fourth behind the selection at Salisbury last time and could get closer off 11lb better terms, while Principessa is one to watch in the market on her first start in a handicap on the Flat.

Judged on current form the strongest option is hat-trick seeker TWO PLUS TWO, ahead of Wannabeawallaby.

Bluebella failed to justify favouritism at Lingfield when last seen, but remains on a workable mark and makes her first start for the Sam Drinkwater stable. However, SASSIFIED finished second in consecutive appearances before running too badly to be true at Exeter in December. The seven-year-old may have needed his break and can make a winning return to the fray. Kepagge completes the shortlist.

The Flying Poet is a likely improver on his handicap debut but a refreshed SASSIFIED (nap) has the form in the book.

Charlie Appleby sends out two impeccably-bred colts and on jockey bookings TIME TO TURN looks to be the pick. However, Maximized, a 720,000 pounds breeze-up purchase, is bred to be effective as a sprinter and there is also plenty to like based on his potential. Boiling Over and Tuwajeri just a couple of other notable debutants in what should be an informative race.

It seemingly bodes extremely well for TIME TO TURN that £720,000 breeze-up buy Maximized is the apparent Godolphin second-string.

BLENHEIM STAR justified favouritism in good style over a mile at Brighton on her most recent start and could improve for this step up in distance. The daughter of Churchill has Brandon Wilkie claiming a handy 3lb to negate her rise for that triumph and looks the one to beat again. Risen Again struck with ease over track and trip earlier in the month and holds an obvious chance, despite his 5lb penalty. Pursuit Of Truth is the pick of the remainder.

Provided the form of his C&D win is confirmed, RISEN AGAIN looks capable of following up. Pursuit Of Truth is second choice.

A lot more was expected of OBSESSEDWITHYOU when she was comfortably beaten on her chasing debut at Warwick earlier in the month. Jamie Snowden's six-year-old is likely to have learned a great deal from that experience and lurks on an appealing mark. Culligran struck over the smaller obstacles at Hereford in November and is an interesting contender on her first start over fences. Calli Black is the pick of the remainder.

From a workable mark of just 68, CAPTAIN PARMA is at the top end of the ratings band and has a big chance of successfully launching his handicap career. Based on what he has shown in three starts on the all-weather, the son of Iffraaj could take all the beating if he handles the switch to turf. Similar comments apply to Volendam, whose Newcastle form is compelling, while the hat-trick seeking Trust Sergei is also feared despite going up 4lb for his latest success.

Trust Sergei is on a hat-trick and holds strong claims but preference is for THURSO (nap), who has been knocking at the door.

Even so, the vote goes to YELLOW DIAMONDS, who changed hands for 170,000gns last month and now makes her racecourse bow. The daughter of Invincible Spirit has plenty of speed in her pedigree and may be up to the task first time out. Any market confidence behind Staya or Bosh Soldier would be interesting.

ROXANNE has impressed on both starts since joining the in-form Dan Skelton stable, and this track should suit as she looks to bring up the hat-trick under a double penalty. The five-year-old may have too much pace for Sir Galahad, who arrives with similar claims having won both outings over hurdles in taking fashion. Chanelle Noir can pick up the pieces if the aforementioned pair struggle.

Both Sir Galahad and ROXANNE have plenty to recommend them as unbeaten young hurdlers and the latter gets just narrow preference.

Blue Day had Duran (second) behind when coming through the field to run out an impressive winner at Ascot last month, but this represents a step up in grade. With that in mind, HARVANNA gets the nod. Michael Appleby's filly was left with plenty to do from the rear when hitting the woodwork at Wolverhampton in December and is just 1lb higher. With a smoother run this time around, she could be one to beat.

Good cases can be made for a few of these. BLUE DAY did it nicely at Ascot three weeks ago and can make it 2-2 at 5f.

NORTHERN SYMPHONIE continues to go from strength to strength and a 4lb rise for her most recent success at Chepstow may not be enough to prevent her from landing the hat-trick. A taking winner at Plumpton recently off 6lb lower, D'jo Dela Barriere may have plenty of improvement to come, while the consistent Ri Na Cuirte is another to consider as he goes in search of a first victory since last November.

Her stable companion Silent Love showed plenty of ability when third on her introduction at Newmarket and has to be respected, along with Pearla.

Shaw Park was a narrow winner over this C&D recently and is respected under a penalty. Giant could also have a say in first-time blinkers.

Just a neck separated Anglo Saxson (second) and Mickey Mongoose (third) when the pair met over C&D recently and they ought to be closely matched once again.

Rated 111 over hurdles, MINERS BRIDGE looks nicely treated off a mark of 95. The Mahler eight-year-old has plenty of experience over the larger obstacles and won a point-to-point in his early days. He also has some solid hurdles form to his name and was successful at Killarney last summer. Fifth on his latest start in handicap company at Gowran in October, he had some decent performers in behind. The Mick Winters-trained Crowsatedappletart is already a three-time course winner and with Darragh O'Keeffe aboard, he is sure to have plenty of supporters. Winters also saddles Aleish Lass, with the six-year-old of definite interest. The winner of this race in 2023, The Eye Of Tulla warrants respect too.

Marcus Tregoning's seven-year-old remains feasibly treated off a mark of 65 and looks the way to go. Crafter has taken the silver medal home on two of his last three outings and should remain competitive, while Egoiste isn't out of it either.

Crafter will pose a threat if this track suits but MEADRAM is turning into a course specialist and can land a third C&D success.

A promising third behind a pair of subsequent winners on his return at Newmarket last month, ORGAN is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming. Martyn Meade's charge gets the vote ahead of the unexposed handicap-debutant Suhub, who was a creditable second over 1m at Kempton when last in action. Unlucky not to have got off the mark thus far, High On Hope may also have a say in proceedings.

The filly TITIAN BLUE could be just the type Mick Appleby excels with and she earns the vote on her stable debut. Suhub is feared.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained seven-year-old hasn't done much wrong in her career to date and could really come into her own over the larger obstacles. Sandwiched between two poor efforts, Je T'ai Porte was a fine third at Cork. Out of her depth in the Mares' Chase at Cheltenham and again well beaten when last seen in Grade 3 company at Killarney, she will appreciate this drop in class. A Law Of Her Own should be able to make her presence felt too.

With a previous C&D victory to her name, she could prove hard to beat once again. Sullivan Bay made the frame at this venue when last seen on the Flat and has since undergone a wind operation, so he is one to watch out for. Stretch is next best.

Star Legend ran well over hurdles on Tuesday but the best option may be GRAND DUCHESS OLGA to follow up her Wolverhampton win.

MISS JUSTICE took a step forward from her debut to fill the runner-up spot over track and trip last time and is likely to have lots of improvement in her. The daughter of Justify is related to plenty of winners and can get off the mark. Flightofthephoenix shaped with promise when second on her racecourse bow at Kempton last autumn and it would be no surprise to see her feature, along with Invisible.

Top of the list is MISS JUSTICE, who returned from a year off with a clear second over C&D and sets a useful standard on that form.

There was just three-quarters of a length between INTELLOTTO and Jigoro when they clashed over hurdles at Cork on Easter Sunday and, off level weights now, the Joseph O'Brien-trained former is taken to reverse the form. Returning from an eight-month absence at the Mallow venue, the Lope De Vega chestnut is an interesting recruit to fences. Beaten at 4/9 when starting off over the larger obstacles at Thurles in November, Jigoro is still sure to have plenty of supporters. Encanto Bruno should be able to make an impact in a contest like this.

PARTICIPLE just failed by the smallest of margins when second on her debut at Salisbury last August and the daughter of Frankel may be the one to beat on that evidence. True Colors has made the frame on both of her starts, most recently at Wolverhampton, and she needs to be taken seriously. Stellenbosch sets the standard with a rating of 78 and is another to note.

Clear preference is for PARTICIPLE who ran so well on her Salisbury debut as a 2yo and looks sure to fare better with time.

KITTY FURNIVAL hasn't finished outside of the first three home on each of her four handicap starts, most recently occupying the runner-up berth at Lingfield. The four-year-old has more scope for improvement than her rivals and can continue her fine form. Sax Appeal has failed to build on his success at Southwell in February, but is now just 2lb higher and needs to be considered. Shahbaz is another to note.

This can go to KITTY FURNIVAL, who has a record of 311322 on AW and hit a personal best when a clear second at Lingfield last month.

It's difficult to be overly confident about any of these. The winner of a point-to-point and subsequently sold for 170,000 pounds, GARDE LA PECHE is the selection. A solid sixth of 17 on her penultimate start at Leopardstown over Christmas, she finished a never-nearer fourth on her most recent outing at Kilbeggan. Successful over hurdles when last seen at Listowel and Down Royal respectively, West Clare and Gustavo Goodway should also go well.

The form of EXPLODE's debut third has worked out well and the son of Sottsass can put that experience to good use and go in at the second time of asking. Although hooded on his racecourse bow, Antipodes warrants a market check for the in-form Roger Varian stable, while the Kingman colt Mudbir, who has been off since finishing second at Newmarket on his debut in October, is another to consider.

The standout contenders are EXPLODE and Mudbir, both of whom shaped with considerable promise on their debuts.

This point-to-point winner has landed handicap hurdles the last twice and enjoyed a step up in trip at Bellewstown. Grooveykindoflove represents a red-hot stable and has shown more than enough over hurdles to suggest she can go well on her chasing debut. There was a lot to like about the way Iceberg Theory came home for second on his chasing bow at Wexford in March.

Having run out of steam over 1m2f in that Lingfield event, the drop in trip here could be ideal and, eased 1lb, the three-year-old can reward any faithful supporters. Pomme Pomme is feared the most under a 6lb penalty for her win over 1m2f at Bath, while Invincible Storm and Aroof are others with each-way claims.

SAM MAGEE is a player on his return to action with Ethan O'Sullivan claiming 7lb. He won over fences on his penultimate outing at Fairyhouse and has gone well fresh before. A strong test of stamina has seen Antrim Coast to good effect, notably when runner-up over hurdles at Cheltenham and when winning a hurdle contest at Wexford almost a year ago. The Gradual Slope's fifth place in the Killarney National was a good effort and he makes some appeal as well.

SAM MAGEE has the class to defy top weight. The form of his last two handicap starts looks very strong in the context of this race

A course-and-distance winner off the same mark in February, TEMPLE BRUER could be ideally berthed in stall four to have the race unfold to suit his style of running. The in-form Combustion and Yoshimi are prime candidates to be on the front end to set things up nicely, while Thomas Equinas is another speedy type that can cause the selection problems. Forever Noah and Safari Dream are others to note.
