(13) 40/1(+0%) | (13) Hot Frank 40/1, Poor again well beaten in a handicap over 8f at Windsor latest; wind operation yet to prove a success No improvement for a switch to handicaps on last two runs; early days but enough to prove. |
A tad unlucky when short of room and eventually finishing fourth at Windsor, VENTURA DREAM could be primed to strike off 2lb lower with in-form amateur jockey Brodie Hampson taking over in the saddle. Runner-up on his last two starts, including here last month, Sonic Pioneer is expected to be thereabouts again, as is I Follow Rivers, who scored twice on the all-weather before a Bath second. King Of Speed and Sense Of Worth cannot be ruled out either.
Ventura Dream is greatly respected but SONIC PIONEER, who tries cheekpieces for the first time, can gain his second C&D success.

![]() Alfa Duplicate |
(4) 50/1(+0%) | (4) Alfa Duplicate 50/1, Not disgraced beaten 8 1/2l in the Woodcote at Epsom last time; this is a drop in class and chance, but vulnerable to newcomers Well held in two turf runs but ran OK in the face of a stiff task latest; still vulnerable. |
By an established sprinting sire in the shape of Mayson, SANNY DOO may be clued-in enough on debut to land this contest for a stable that has a good record here. Fresh from a successful week at Royal Ascot, Andrew Balding takes the wraps off Antique Blue, although his pedigree suggests this trip could be slightly sharp first time out. Special Dividend is another to note from a family that his stable has had recent success with.
Antique Blue is bred to be useful but he's fitted with headgear on debut so SPECIAL DIVIDEND is tentatively preferred.

(9) 6/1(+0%) | (9) Coul Jane 6/1, The most experienced runner in the field; ideally suited by trip when second beaten by a length in a seller over 5 furlongs at Goodwood latest; up in trip; unproven on fast ground; more needed Posted sound effort when second in recent Goodwood seller; has a bit more to do here. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Squadron Leader |
(4) 8/1(+0%) | (4) Squadron Leader 8/1, Below par when down the field in a maiden at Chelmsford most recent when sent off favourite in the market; came fourth out of six runners on debut; hard to recommend here Made fairly encouraging debut; well beaten when well backed for second start. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Madman |
(5) 11/1(+0%) | (5) Madman 11/1, £16,000 yearling; slowly away when beaten by 9 lengths in a novice at Windsor on debut; trainer out of form; best watched here Kept on steadily into midfield on Windsor debut; this race looks easier. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Amazing Journey |
(1) 11/4(+0%) | (1) Amazing Journey 11/4, 30,000 gns yearling; did not get a clear run when a 6 length fourth in a maiden at Chelmsford first-time out; ran green on debut; potential threat if learning to settle better Awkward in early stages of Chelmsford debut but ran on well in the straight to take fourth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Torbay |
(6) 50/1(+0%) | (6) Torbay 50/1, Comfortably held in a maiden over 7 furlongs at Leicester last time; down in trip here; last of ten on debut at Windsor; all to do in this contest Second run was better than his debut; another big step forward is needed, though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Miss Ayala |
(12) 50/1(+0%) | (12) Miss Ayala 50/1, Beaten by 9 lengths when eighth of 11 in in a maiden at Chelmsford on debut; plenty more needed here Towards rear throughout when 28-1 for debut at Chelmsford 18 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Lady Lauren |
(11) 66/1(+0%) | (11) Lady Lauren 66/1, Twice raced maiden; well beaten when seventh of seen runners in a maiden over 5 furlongs here latest; up in trip; hard to recommend given she is yet to beat a horse in two runs Finished last, without showing any significant promise, on her first two outings. |
Carefree Dream progressed from her first outing when fourth over 5f here to take the silver medal home over C&D, and she could put her course experience to good use. However, AMAZING JOURNEY ran green when showing ability to finish fourth on his debut at Chelmsford and may take the necessary leap forward. Jamie Osborne's colt needs to transfer that form to turf but, if doing so, he could be the one to beat. Coul Jane completes the shortlist.
After making very promising headway in a race that is working out well at Chelmsford three weeks ago, AMAZING JOURNEY gets the nod.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Shiplake |
(1) 7/2(+0%) | (1) Shiplake 7/2, Well backed when winning a novice at Newcastle by a short-head last time; open to improvement and should contend if strips fit enough on reappearance Over raced when winning at Newcastle in November (6f); open to considerable improvement. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Reddeef |
(5) 9/1(+0%) | (5) Reddeef 9/1, Back to form in a visor when fourth beaten 4l in a maiden at Catterick on second start after a break; useful nursery form and in the mix Kempton 2nd last October gives him claims but he hasn't kicked on since; stable quiet. |

![]() Rock N Roll Rocket |
(2) 10/1(+0%) | (2) Rock N Roll Rocket 10/1, Scored by a neck off 70 over 5f here penultimate start; similar form on turf last time; mark stiffer now, but in decent heart 5f win here last month and ran okay at Chester ten days ago; others better treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Queue Dos |
(6) 11/2(+0%) | (6) Queue Dos 11/2, Ran to form beaten 2l off 71 at Windsor last time; blinkers first time here; looks nicely weighted and should go well Career best when 2nd at Windsor last week; C&D winner; change of headgear; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Skellig Isle |
(8) 12/1(+0%) | (8) Skellig Isle 12/1, Below par beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap over 5f at Lingfield last time; generally out of form; first time on Tapeta; hard to like Disappointing dropped to 5f at Lingfield (turf) latest; needs revival back over 6f & on AW. |

![]() Sands Of Dubai |
(11) 12/1(+0%) | (11) Sands Of Dubai 12/1, Ran to form second beaten 3 1/2l in a maiden over 5f at Hamilton latest; steadily progressive; returning from long layoff and first race on the AW Bred to leave 2yo form behind her in time but a 361-day absence is offputting. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Amerjeet |
(7) 33/1(+0%) | (7) Amerjeet 33/1, Below par beaten 7l in a handicap over 5f at Leicester last time and seems to have lost form a little since switch to turf; mark has been falling and now back on AW 6lb lower than for his winning nursery debut (5f, AW) last summer; not solid since. |
SANDS OF DUBAI seemed to be getting the hang of things when runner-up at Hamilton and stepping up to 6f on her handicap debut could prove ideal for the returning daughter of Sands Of Mali. She is narrowly preferred to C&D scorer Rogue Dancer and Shiplake, who makes his first start since a determined success at Newcastle last November. Queue Dos and Rock N Roll Rocket may also have a say in proceedings.
C&D winner Queue Dos looks set to go well again but the unexposed SHIPLAKE (nap) may have been let into handicaps lightly.

(6) 6/1(+0%) | (6) All Too Beautiful 6/1, Going probably on the fast side when coming second beaten by 5 and a 1/2 lengths in a handicap at Lingfield latest; may not relish fast ground here; probably best watched in that case No match for winner but still ran well when second on last month's handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Endowed |
(4) 11/4(+0%) | (4) Endowed 11/4, Well backed when landing a handicap by 3/4 of a length off the mark of 46 here last time; up 5lb's in the weights; 21lb's lower than previous winning mark before last time; a real threat here Ended long losing run with C&D win a week ago; competitive again under 4lb penalty. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Lady Dorchester |
(8) 40/1(+0%) | (8) Lady Dorchester 40/1, Zero wins from thirteen career starts; beaten by 9 lengths in a handicap at Salisbury last time; generally out of form at present; sliding down the weights still; has a lot to find Badly out of form for new trainer this year (four runs). |
ALL TOO BEAUTIFUL put her three starts in novice/maiden company behind her when filling the runner-up spot at Lingfield last month and goes off the same rating. The daughter of Bated Breath makes only her second start in a handicap so could have lots more to offer. Endowed justified favouritism over track and trip last week and holds an obvious chance, despite his 4lb penalty. Oldbury Lad is another to note after his second at Salisbury.
Top of the list is OLDBURY LAD, who was squeezed out just as he was building up a head of steam at Salisbury a fortnight ago.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Like Magic |
(6) 66/1(+0%) | (6) Like Magic 66/1, Raced freely down the field in a handicap here most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; not proven on AW; bit to find Poor since joining this yard, only beating one home over C&D last month; drawn wide. |
LECHUGA LAD ran a lot better than his odds of 25/1 suggested he would when getting up for third in this grade at Yarmouth. The four-year-old competes off an unchanged rating and could take full advantage. Corundum finished a length behind the selection in fourth last time and is 1lb better off so has to be considered. Molly Valentine is a C&D winner who also warrants plenty of respect.
The vote goes to SATURN FIVE who, if bouncing back from his latest performance, is favourably treated on his previous efforts.

![]() Connie's Rose |
(3) 9/2(0%) | (3) Connie's Rose 9/2, Well backed when beaten by 1/2 a length off the mark of 68 over 6 furlongs here last time; enjoys making it; back down in trip here; 6lb's lower than last winning mark; the pick on balance of form Front-runs; six wins here and three times beaten under 1l this year; likely player. |
Level Up regained the winning thread over track and trip earlier in the month and he remains on a workable rating. Connie's Rose bounced back to finish second over 6f at this venue last week and is likely to be thereabouts, but the vote goes to HONOUR YOUR DREAMS. Mick Appleby's five-year-old made the frame at Thirsk six days ago and competes off the same mark. With a similar effort, he could be the one to beat.
Recent winner Level Up is still well treated but ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS can confirm the promise of his Windsor success in May.

![]() Ribston Pippin |
(5) 25/1(+0%) | (5) Ribston Pippin 25/1, Beaten 9l in a maiden at Lingfield on debut where never competitive; plenty more needed on AW bow Held back by inexperience on debut (7f, soft); open to improvement and this is a weak race. |
CALL ME BETTY relished the step up to this distance when filling the runner-up spot at Thirsk earlier in the month and she will have plenty of improvement in her. The daughter of Sands Of Mali might only need to reproduce that level of form in order to get off the mark. Ribston Pippin could only manage fifth on his racecourse bow at Lingfield, but he could take a step forward to have a say. Uncle Simon looks best of the rest.
The safest option looks to be CALL ME BETTY, who shaped well at Thirsk 17 days ago and remains capable of better.

THURSO took an age to find top gear when scoring at Haydock, but he found plenty once doing so and appeared to win a shade cosily in the end. That was only his second start on turf and the son of Dutch Art should have plenty more to offer. Ten Club floundered on the soft going here, having won over C&D before that, and he can make his presence felt back on a faster surface. Kamekist drops down in class with a shout.
Kamekist makes some appeal but THURSO (nap) has come good of late and he can win again despite the hefty rise for his recent win.

ARBOREOUS has occupied the runner-up berth on each of his last two starts, most recently at Kempton, and Hollie Doyle is back on board. Archie Watson's charge sets the standard with an official rating of 80 and could put his experience to good use. Bint Mohaather showed ability when fifth at Chelmsford last September and she could produce a much improved display. Newcomer Angel Army warrants a market check.
Arboreous and Dannick set the standard but BINT MOHAATHER may improve past them given the promise of her debut.

Runner-up at Ripon on her handicap debut, LAMBOURNGHINI then faded in the closing stages after attempting to make all over a mile at Yarmouth. This drop in distance looks a logical move and David Evans' filly gets another chance to open her account. Too Much Trevor finished second here back in May and has a shout competing off a similar mark, while Pipkin has plenty of scope on only her second start in a handicap.
Today's drop back to 7f could be the key to LAMBOURNGHINI, who launched her handicap career with two good 1m runs.

BOLD SUITOR will be hard to keep out of the finish. A winner here back in March, Craig Benton's charge has placed in four of his subsequent five starts and this looks an easier opportunity than when runner-up at the track last time. Star Of Atlantis scored over the extended mile here in May, but she has a bit to find with the selection on latest running so Evoluir may emerge as the main danger.
A chance is taken on handicap newcomer FIDGET LADY coming into her own now handicapping off a modest mark.

LADY PLIMSOLL comes here off a solid run in maiden company and may be the safest option in a race where good recent form is in short supply. She finished fourth to Angelo Pio at Down Royal in late May and dropping back slightly in trip may suit. She has to give a bit of weight to Sugar Club, who is rated only a pound inferior. That rival has been well beaten in her last two outings though. Her trained Noel Meade also saddles Your Call, who would have a shout in this grade.
If reproducing the solid handicap form of her Leopardstown fourth LADY PLIMSOLL has good prospects of a breakthrough success.

(3) 12/1(+0%) | (3) Lequinto 12/1, Three-time C&D winner, with last career success coming here two years ago; slowly away beaten 4l off 60 at Chepstow last time; second run after wind op, so could come on; threat back here Last three wins have been over C&D and is on a very dangerous mark; in the mix. |

![]() Vape |
(6) 17/2(+0%) | (6) Vape 17/2, Slowly away and perhaps not best suited by soft ground when well beaten in a handicap at Chepstow latest; in good form going close on a couple of occasions prior; former C&D winner on good; the pick on balance of form Looked unlucky at Chepstow last month and had an excuse there last time; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Inspired Knowhow |
(1) 20/1(+0%) | (1) Inspired Knowhow 20/1, Sole win in 15 starts was over 5f here last May; keen when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap over 5f at Southwell last time; generally out of form since joining Hilal Kobeissi; making reappearance; bit to find Won here (5f) last May but has form figures of 6755797 since; others are more convincing. |

![]() Little Miss Magic |
(9) 20/1(+0%) | (9) Little Miss Magic 20/1, Made too much from the front and ultimately faded to be well beaten in a handicap at Goodwood latest; only win came on faster ground at Bath last August, but generally out of form; hard to recommend Record of 1-14 and has been well below form in last six runs; plenty to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Libra Tiger |
(4) 33/1(+0%) | (4) Libra Tiger 33/1, Looked like had excuses when 4l fourth on reappearance, but below par again when last and beaten 10l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; off a short-break; form going the wrong way Well held in last five runs and has record of 1-18 on turf; down the list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Exquisement |
(13) 40/1(+0%) | (13) Exquisement 40/1, Couple of placed efforts in France before joining current yard; yet to show much for Michael Keady; beaten 4l off 48 over 5f here last time; may not relish fast ground, and probably wants 5f; bit to find Ex-French; record of 0-9 and has not finished closer than 4l to a winner; down the list. |
SOUTHBANK made a highly encouraging first start for the Chris Gordon yard when coming from the rear to run out a two-length victor at Bath. The four-year-old has a 7lb higher rating to contend with, but that is unlikely to prevent him from going in again. Vape had excuses when finishing behind Lequinto at Chepstow and he could reverse that form to have a say. Sorontar is the pick of the remainder.
Most of these have plenty to prove but SOUTHBANK (nap) won in good style on his stable debut at Bath and he gets the vote.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() We're Reunited |
(5) 4/1(0%) | (5) We're Reunited 4/1, Ran to form when beaten by 3/4 of a length off the mark of 45 over 6 furlongs here last time; down in trip here; 5lb's lower than last winning mark; hasn't won since June 2022; might have to settle for a place here Nearly three years since last win but good 6f runs here the last twice; contender. |
Darkened Edge did nothing wrong when runner-up at Bath, finishing in front of Fishermans Cottage. COCO HILL was not far behind that pair in fourth, but Adrian Wintle's charge looks the one to take out of the race because she found plenty of trouble in the closing stages. She gets another chance with normal luck in-running. Moe's Legacy has posted a couple of improved efforts here recently and is not easily dismissed off her current mark.
This looks good for DARKENED EDGE, who bumped into one at Bath last time and there is nothing that is unexposed in today's field.

![]() Sydney Whistler |
(4) 33/1(+0%) | (4) Sydney Whistler 33/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap at Lingfield most recent; best effort did come here but form going the wrong way Creditable show on handicap debut (C&D) but hasn't done as well since; best left for now. |
ADVERTORIAL struggled to get involved over shorter trips last term, but she looked a different proposition when scoring over C&D on her reappearance. Ed Dunlop's inmate has been raised 3lb for that success, but has the scope to rate higher with further improvement likely. A respectable third at Leicester recently, Respiro Solitario could also relish this greater test of stamina, while Jedhi Knight is worth a second look.
The new trip can suit RESPIRO SOLITARIO who stayed on stoutly over 1m2f recently and he is preferred to C&D winner Advertorial.

![]() Sigliosa |
(3) 22/1(+0%) | (3) Sigliosa 22/1, Slowly away well beaten in a maiden over 9f at Gowran Park only start having missed the break; plenty more needed Probably capable of building on a satisfactory introduction at Gowran, others preferred. |

![]() Silence Is Wisdom |
(4) 66/1(+0%) | (4) Silence Is Wisdom 66/1, Well beaten in an auction race over 12f at Fairyhouse only start where went off huge price; back in trip; difficult to fancy Big price when down the field over 1m4f at Fairyhouse ten days ago, safe to rule out. |
This looks like a nice opportunity for NOBLER to gain a deserved success. The German-bred gelding has been placed on five of his six outings and plugged on when second to Admiral Churchill on his most recent run at Listowel. Stepping up in trip again should help him, as may the application of blinkers. On official ratings, Made U Blush is the danger with her fillies allowance. She ran well on her return at Leopardstown but didn't really back that up at Cork last time. Wonderfulwonderful is another to note.
This looks like a suitable opportunity for the 80-rated NOBLER who has been fairly consistent and seems worthy of his rating.

With no form to go on, the market could be informative and a tentative vote goes to SWIPED. Ralph Beckett's colt is a half-brother to Luther, who was successful at Listed level in his juvenile campaign, and the son of Too Darn Hot might be well placed to make an instant impression. Nebulon changed hands for 95,000 euros and is related to a couple of winners so he has to be respected. Any market support behind Marcellinus would be interesting.
The market should be highly informative but at this stage SWIPED gets the vote ahead of Nebulon and Lebron Power.

![]() Whosethebestboy |
(3) 66/1(+0%) | (3) Whosethebestboy 66/1, Probably needed race down the field in a maiden over 1m5f at Tipperary most recent; poor in a bumper prior; back in trip; all to do Well beaten in a bumper, tailed off in a 1m4f Flat maiden at Tipperary last month. |
JANES HARBOUR is marginally preferred over Molto Amichi. The Joseph O'Brien-trained selection belatedly got off the mark over flights at this venue, and back on the level now she looks capable of following up. Beaten by just a nose over the course and distance last month, Molto Amichi was last seen finishing a never-nearer fourth in an 18-runner handicap at Leopardstown. Returning to maiden company, he is sure to have plenty of supporters with Colin Keane aboard. Like the selection, Autumn Twist has a win over hurdles to his name and looks capable of making an impact.
Course maiden hurdle winner Janes Harbour has to be taken seriously but MOLTO AMICHI can put her Flat race handicap to good use.

(11) 200/1(+0%) | (11) Cameley Days 200/1, Acclaim filly; half-sister to Twayblade, who won over 6f; yet to show any real signs of ability, back in field and no closer than 24l; up in trip to 8f for the first; all to do; probable outside of the pack Tailed off at massive prices in two runs at Kempton (7f, AW) this spring. |
Silent City finished two places behind Read All About It when fourth on her introduction at Goodwood, but she shaped with plenty of promise and the daughter of Cityscape may reverse that form. Even so, SHIRAZI looks the way to go. Georgina Nicholls' filly showed a big chunk of improvement from her first start to occupy the runner-up berth at Windsor earlier in the month and, with further progression, she could prove hard to beat.
Several have possibilities but SILENT CITY gets the vote ahead of recent C&D runner-up Shirazi.

(1) 50/1(+0%) | (1) Titanium 50/1, Slowly away down the field in a handicap over 8f at Limerick most recent; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; off a short-break; needs to prove ability remains A long way below his best in three outings this term, needs to show signs of revival. |
A competitive affair, with dual C&D winner EXPOUND the suggestion. The Denis Hogan-trained six-year-old has an excellent record at this venue and will be aided by the 7lb claim of Dylan O'Connor. The joint highest rated runner in the line-up, Donna Nook is an obvious danger. Down to 83 from an initial mark of 88, she was a solid fourth of eight in a stronger contest on her latest start at Gowran. A never-nearer fifth on her debut for Michael Mulvany on Thursday, it'll be interesting to see how Ina Mina fares.
Dylan O'Connor's valuable 7lb claim could make all the difference for the in-form EXPOUND, a C&D winner for the rider three starts ago

![]() Zoulu Chief |
(1) 5/2(+0%) | (1) Zoulu Chief 5/2, Won over 6f at this course in 2023; went close at Ascot when 2l third but disappointing eighth beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at York last time; enjoys making it; should bounce back to be in contention Not hit the heights his 2yo career promised; retains ability and recent wind op may help. |

![]() Night On Earth |
(5) 7/1(+0%) | (5) Night On Earth 7/1, 78-race veteran; won over C&D on second start back in 2020; wide trip when 9 beaten 8l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; enjoys setting the pace; on a long losing streak; outsider of the field C&D winner; front-runner who is on a dangerous mark but doesn't look to be in top form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Grandlad |
(2) 7/2(+0%) | (2) Grandlad 7/2, Three wins in four starts last year, two of which over 5f at Goodwood; disappointing when last of 14 runners and beaten 9l in a handicap at Doncaster last time; enjoys making it; not ruled out Reappearance was encouraging but he took a backwards step at Doncaster last time. |

(3) 9/1(+0%) | (3) Dapper Valley 9/1, Last win was under Tom Marquand at Yarmouth in October; keen when last of 9 in a handicap over 7f at Goodwood most recent; out of form; blinkers applied first time; down in trip and may not relish the ground On a winning mark but risky dropping to 5f in new headgear; best form on good or slower. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Nogo's Dream |
(4) 7/4(+7%) | (4) Nogo's Dream 7/4, Course and distance winner when scoring under Oisin Murphy by a length off 74 here three starts back; didn't get clear run when 6l 11th at Epsom last time; drops in class; the pick on balance of form C&D win last month before a good AW third; stiff task latest; leading contender. |
ZOULU CHIEF was mid-division behind subsequent Group 1 winner American Affair at York last time and has had wind surgery since. This is less competitive and the son of Zoustar could be bang there at the finish with a repeat of his third at Ascot in April. Nogo's Dream is also facing an easier task having failed to feature in the Epsom Dash. He scored over C&D in May and is reunited with winning partner Oisin Murphy, while Grandlad has a shout on his third at Haydock last month.
Nogo's Dream has the least to prove but a wind op since York's Dante meeting could see ZOULU CHIEF resume winning ways.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Johnny's Oasis |
(2) 20/1(-11%) | (2) Johnny's Oasis 20/1, Yard won this last year; below par down the field in a handicap over 11f at Sligo most recent; in good from prior on AW and turf; down in trip; off a short-break; each way claims A no-show most recently; good run at Navan prior to that when close fifth; drops 3lb. |
CURROY LADY caught the eye when third on her handicap debut over the course and distance last month, where she wasn't helped by an incident in the latter stages. Wesley Joyce was aboard the Mark McNiff-trained bay on that occasion and he later reported that the buckle on his rein opened when he changed hands turning into the home straight. Colin Keane now takes over in the saddle and it'll be disappointing if she's not involved at the business end. On the mark at Down Royal on Friday, Andy McNamara looks to have solid claims with Fairyhouse third Highway Sixty One, while handicap debutant Glenroyal is another to bear in mind.
Finishing third last time over C&D despite encountering issues, CURROY LADY (nap) looks very dangerous off an unchanged mark.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kinetic |
(2) 13/2(+0%) | (2) Kinetic 13/2, Completed back-to-back wins when did not get a clear run but scored by a head off 73 in similar conditions here three starts back; below form 11th beaten 13l off 77 last time; trainer in form; bit to find Completed a double over C&D in April but she's been disappointing in two runs since. |
ORIONIS routed the opposition when landing the odds with the minimum of fuss in a maiden at Ripon. William Haggas' filly looks on a fair mark now handicapping for the first time and the daughter of the Sea The Stars is difficult to oppose. Kinetic could bounce back having struggled since scoring here in April, while Mrs Twig steps back up in distance with a shout on last summer's victory at Newmarket and is preferred to Typical Woman.
This can go to the unexposed filly ORIONIS, who was an easy winner at Ripon and is open to more progress on her handicap debut.

![]() Evening's Empire |
(8) 50/1(+38%) | (8) Evening's Empire 50/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap over 2m1f at Limerick most recent where let down by slow start; generally out of form; down in trip; bit to find Won over this trip from 1lb lower last summer; last of 11 on stable debut 12 days ago. |
DESERT FRIEND won this race 12 months ago and, despite advancing years, has strong claims of repeating the trick following a number of solid efforts this term. The selection beat all bar Molly Hall here last month and again ran a cracker at Navan last time. Preparations won over 1m4f at Bellewstown last year and successfully switched to hurdles on her reappearance at Limerick this spring. She finished well when runner-up at Gowran earlier this month, with Out On Friday seven lengths behind in fourth. Positive Energy rates a danger if staying this distance, while Spanish John has been raised 10lb for winning at Tipperary last month.
POSITIVE ENERGY looks like he could be suited by this new trip after hitting the line hard when winning over 1m2f in October.

![]() Ray Gun |
(3) 20/1(+0%) | (3) Ray Gun 20/1, Scored over 12f on fourth start at Kempton in February; well beaten in a handicap over 12f at Lingfield latest; generally out of form last three starts; a lot to find on second turf start and in firm conditions Polytrack winner but was tailed off on recent turf debut at Lingfield; down the list. |
SOLAR PASS returned a beaten favourite when only fourth at Wolverhampton on her handicap debut and first start since January. A half-sister to useful stablemate Mount Atlas, it would be no surprise if Andrew Balding's filly leaves that form behind and features in the finish. Twilight Moon has been in the mix over 1m2f recently and looks worth a try over this far, as does handicap debutant Bondi, whose dam was successful over 1m4f.
Preference is for TWILIGHT MOON, who didn't get much luck when when runner-up behind a highly progressive rival at Bath last Saturday.

(3) 25/1(+0%) | (3) No Niki No 25/1, Made too much use of down the field in a handicap over 11f at Sligo most recent; up in trip; off a short-break; form going the wrong way 1lb higher than last win in August; poor runs since then and finished last on comeback run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Arch Enemy |
(8) 33/1(+0%) | (8) Arch Enemy 33/1, Below par down the field in a handicap over 9f at Leopardstown most recent; generally out of form; up in trip; bit to find on these terms Won a strong 1m4f handicap off same mark last Autumn; middling Flat runs this year. |
HEATHER won a Dundalk maiden over an extended 1m2f in February and the sister to Irish Derby winner Latrobe should be suited by this step up in trip following a creditable effort at Naas last month. The Camelot filly filled the runner-up spot behind Galveston, who boosted the form with a fine third in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. Elana Osario opened her account when beating Navy Waters (won since) here and may be suited by stepping back up in distance, while riding arrangements suggest Roscommon maiden winner Sissi is preferred of Joseph O'Brien's pair. Lot of Joy and Beauparc are others to consider.
Beating a colt now rated 93 in an AW maiden, HEATHER looks like the step up in distance will help her bag another win on handicap debut

![]() Channagide |
(1) 3/1(+0%) | (1) Channagide 3/1, Yet to get off the mark in seven starts; improved last couple of runs, including when did not get a clear run beaten 1 1/4l in second off 68 at Newbury last time; Tom Marquand booked; unproven on fast ground; minor chance Eyecatching second behind Zarakerjack on turf debut at Newbury; respected up 4lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jet Black |
(4) 7/4(+0%) | (4) Jet Black 7/4, Off the mark on fifth outing, suited by fast ground when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 66 at Redcar last time; Oisin Murphy on board for first time; the pick on balance of form Never looked in any serious danger when making all at Redcar and is only 3lb higher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bownder |
(3) 9/2(+0%) | (3) Bownder 9/2, Back to winning ways when landed a handicap by 1 1/2l off 66 at Goodwood last time; trainer going well lately; chance to follow up all things considered and a potential threat Hit a personal best with his Goodwood win and he's still unexposed at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Zarakerjack |
(2) 11/4(+0%) | (2) Zarakerjack 11/4, Ideally suited by step up in trip to 10f when landing a handicap by 1 1/4l off 63 to open account at Newbury last time; first time on faster ground; trainer struggling for winners of late; outside chance Major progress when beating Channagide at Newbury last month; big player again up 8lb. |
Despite CHANNAGIDE being the only contender not to have won last time out, he makes the most appeal. Marco Botti's colt was denied a clear run on multiple occasions when finishing over three lengths clear of the third at Newbury and can defy his 4lb rise. Jet Black made every yard of the running to score on her second handicap outing at Redcar, although she may have benefited from her soft lead. Zarakerjack can beat Bownder home for third.
All of the runners have possibilities but JET BLACK never looked in any serious danger when making all at Redcar and she gets the vote.

(3) 3/1(+0%) | (3) Reporter 3/1, Going probably on fast side beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap over 6f at Salisbury last time; may not relish similar ground here; back in trip to 5f for the first time; not out of it Ten-race maiden and he needs this drop to 5f to make a difference. |

![]() Chasing Gold |
(2) 7/1(+0%) | (2) Chasing Gold 7/1, 0-5; slowly away down the field in a nursery on a not proven surface at Southwell most recent; returning from long layoff since September; wind op; Rossa Ryan booked; value selection based on balance of form Had wind/gelding operations but he needs a transformation on return for new yard. |

![]() Top Biller |
(6) 7/2(+0%) | (6) Top Biller 7/2, Second career win when landing a handicap by comfortable 5 1/2l off 46 over 6f at Lingfield penultimate start; beaten in a classified race last time; not proven trip; bit to find Emphatic win at Lingfield last month and is a big player if he can recapture that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Money Pockets |
(4) 8/1(+0%) | (4) Money Pockets 8/1, Raced freely when comfortably held by nearly 20l in a handicap at Yarmouth last time; tongue-tie first time; unproven on fast ground; needs to find more, and others are preferred Still early days and tongue-tie is now added but needs to leave latest form well behind. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dubai Magic |
(5) 9/2(+0%) | (5) Dubai Magic 9/2, Gone close on a couple of occasions at Wolverhampton; below form beaten 6l in a handicap back there last time; first turf start since last August, and returning from a break; the pick on balance of form Well handicapped on her best form and needs watching in market after a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Commendation |
(1) 13/2(+0%) | (1) Commendation 13/2, Sole win came at Lingfield in February with first-time cheekpieces applied; Ran to similar level last two starts, beaten 4l in 4th off 62 at Yarmouth last time; better form on AW; may contend Record of 1-11 and she's been beaten around 4l in last two starts; others preferred. |
Top Biller failed to supplement his Lingfield success when well beaten in a classified stakes at Bath, but there will be plenty willing to give him another chance. Money Pockets sports a first-time tongue-tie and is worth a second look, but COMMENDATION gets the vote. Michael Keady's filly outran her odds of 18/1 when fourth at Yarmouth on her most recent start and the daughter of Showcasing has Kyle McHugh claiming a handy 7lb now.
This looks trappy but it might be worth siding with TOP BILLER, who was an emphatic winner at Lingfield on his penultimate run.
Ths is the racecard key.
