NELSON GAY made all to score by half a length over track and trip on his latest outing and is just 3lb higher. Michael Dods' seven-year-old remains on a workable mark and can make it three wins from his last four outings. Eternal Sunshine finished a close third in a warm race at Musselburgh latest and needs to be taken seriously, while Le Beau Garcon is another to keep an eye on.

Copper Knight is a key player dropped in class but ETERNAL SUNSHINE looked ready to strike when third at Musselburgh last month.

AMMES has shown plenty of ability in each of his three starts, including when finishing a respectable third at Chester earlier in the month, and he sets the standard with a rating of 86. With the James Owen yard in good form, he looks the one to beat. Triple Gee shaped with promise when finishing third on his debut at Salisbury and will most certainly give the selection a race.

Triple Gee can improve but AMMES sets the bar quite high on his two runs this season.

Whisperwood failed to justify favouritism when beaten into fourth on her debut at Southwell last month, but it would be no surprise to see her take a step forward. Even so, UNDERWRITER looks the more appealing option. The son of Mehmas changed hands for 200,000 pounds and goes for a yard which knows how to ready one first time out. Any market confidence behind newcomer Strength of Spirit would also be interesting.

£200,000 breeze-up buy UNDERWRITER is a very interesting newcomer for Lambourn trainer Archie Watson and earns the vote.

Having found only two progressive rivals too strong at Plumpton in March, TWO TO TANGO makes grand appeal reverting to maiden company. A similar performance from Emma Lavelle's gelding may see him open his account, possibly at the main expense of The Long Walk. The five-year-old will find this easier than his latest Cheltenham assignment and he should make his presence felt, along with Newton Abbot second Roadshow.

Back in a more comfortable grade, recent Cheltenham sixth THE LONG WALK can gain a first hurdles win ahead of Roadshow.

EMILY REBECCA has proved a different proposition since stepping into handicap company as she has taken a silver medal home in each of her two outings. Richard Hannon's filly takes a step up in distance and sports first-time blinkers, which may eke out the improvement required. Her stable companion Phaedra looks the main danger after not being disgraced in third at Nottingham last time, while No Gain isn't out of it either.

Richard Hannon has a good hand with PHAEDRA and Emily Rebecca, both of whom ran well last time and promise to stay this far.

WOOHOO struck in ready style in an apprentice handicap at Hamilton five days ago and escapes a penalty for that success. If the four-year-old can back that performance up, she will prove very hard to beat. King Of The Jungle finished a fair fourth at Leicester last time and was kindly dropped 1lb, while Sixcor is a four-time course scorer and is another to note.

South Shore is interesting down in class but WOOHOO is unpenalised for last week's easy win and can prove just as effective at 6f.

James Owen has enjoyed some good success with his stable debutants of late and Mr Le Philosophe must be monitored in the betting with champion jockey Sean Bowen booked to ride. However, recent Market Rasen runner-up RUKAANA rates as the most solid proposition after meeting trouble in running in that contest. Iolaos Du Mou and Cusano are others to consider in their current form.

Value for closer in a better race latest, CUSANO can upset the Owen debutant Mr Le Philosophe and unlucky Rasen second Rukaana.

ITALICA took a big step forward from his debut effort to make the frame at Chester earlier in the month and could have lots more to offer. Tom Dascombe's juvenile is related to a few winners and can get off the mark. Sir Albert changed hands for 165,000 euros as a yearling and is a half-brother to the Listed-placed Festive Fare, so he needs to be monitored in the betting market first time out, along with Schrodinger's Cat.

All things considered, ITALICA did mighty well to finish so close in the Lily Agnes at Chester. Some interesting newcomers take him on.

Having been thwarted in his hat-trick bid when finishing third at Bath 16 days ago, the application of first-time cheekpieces may eke out some improvement in Commanding Prince. Archie Watson's four-year-old isn't taken lightly, but ABDUCTION looked an unlucky loser when second at Haydock recently and compensation could be on the cards. The Acclamation gelding was denied a clear run at a crucial point in the closing stages and is taken to go one better. Garden Oasis is also noted.

Commanding Prince is a danger but preference is for C&D winner HALE END who is on a handy mark and was unlucky last time.

The application of first-time cheekpieces enabled an improved performance from PRIDE OF PARIS when finishing a close-up second at Uttoxeter earlier this month. That was only his third appearance over the larger obstacles and there could be more to come. Calagogo was far from disgraced when recently second to Doyen Quest here and he warrants respect reverting to handicap company. Ballynaheer could also feature.

Low-mileage 7yo PRIDE OF PARIS went down fighting at Uttoxeter 18 days ago and gets the nod here in the hope he can build on that run.

A confident vote goes to ROSENPUR, who finished second in a warm class 2 event at Chester recently from 3lb out of the handicap. He might have won were it not for Warren Fentiman dropping his rein in the final furlong and this looks a good opportunity to go one better. Jacquelina was in excellent heart last summer and there were signs of a return to form at Newmarket on Sunday. Connie's Rose, who came off worst in a three-way photo over 6f here last time, is another to consider.

Rosenpur has a lot going for him but CONNIE'S ROSE goes particularly well here and she looks ready to exploit her reduced mark.

With that in mind, IN THIS WORLD gets the vote. The seven-year-old filled the runner-up spot in a stronger event at Stratford (fences) when last seen and now makes his first start for the Rob Summers stable. If picking up from where he left off last summer, he could be the one to beat. Ukantango completes the shortlist.

ART OF FOX ran well for a long way despite pulling too hard over 6f at Nottingham last time. The gelded son of Mehmas was eased 2lb for his troubles and remains capable of better, so perhaps dropping to the minimum trip can work the oracle. Bust A Moon landed a Seller at Beverley recently and is respected under a 6lb penalty, while others to note include Over Spiced and Step Along.

Richard Hannon's ART OF FOX pulled too hard over 6f on his handicap debut and he warrants another chance on this drop back to 5f.

Of the remainder, Ultramarine makes most appeal.

Winning doesn't come easily to POWER OF GOLD but he nearly won his last race over 7f and he's a rare runner here for the Quinns.

ASHEN's stamina appeared to ebb away when weakening into fifth on his handicap bow over 1m here 16 days ago and a return to 7f could prove fruitful. Moreover, the son of Phoenix Of Spain arrives here race-fit, which could prove crucial over the higher-rated Brize Norton. Ralph Beckett's gelding ended his juvenile campaign with a respectable third at Salisbury and it will be interesting to see how he fares in the betting market. Dannick and Karthala are others of interest.

Ralph Beckett's BRIZE NORTON improved with each start at two and could be a different proposition this year, having been gelded.

PINBALL WIZARD is marginally preferred over Comfort Line. Back with John Nallen after a stint with James Owen, the selection returns from a break and will be ridden by promising apprentice Darragh O'Sullivan, who claims a valuable 7lb. The highest rated runner in the line-up, Comfort Line is sure to have plenty of supporters. Despite his advancing years, the Adrian McGuinness-trained grey still retains plenty of enthusiasm and registered a ninth success at Dundalk in March. It will be interesting to see how Feature This fares in first-time blinkers.

It could be worth taking a chance with the relatively unexposed TOFINO who ended last season with an encouraging nursery run

BELTANE looks the way to go in what appears to be a very winnable handicap. The past course (6f) winner has been knocking on the door recently and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could make all the difference. Cisco Disco is 2lb lower than when touched off over C&D last October and can improve on his recent comeback effort here, while Circles and Penelope's Sister also hold claims.

Significant questions hang over so many of these, including BELTANE but he looks the percentage call ahead of Irish raider Circles.

GETALEAD wasn't disgraced in third when sporting first-time blinkers at Newton Abbot last week and goes off the same mark. The nine-year-old looks to have been found a nice opportunity to record his fourth course victory. King Of The Road could only manage sixth in a tougher contest at Chepstow in January, but will appreciate this easier assignment and may have a say. Crystal Glance is another to note.

The Greenall and Guerriero stable holds a strong hand here and the riding arrangements suggest MR YEATS could be the their main hope.

POET came through the field to record a 28/1 victory at Newcastle last time and there didn't seem to be any fluke about that success. Scott Dixon's six-year-old looks well placed to complete the double, with his main threat possibly being Candy Warhol, who will be looking to build on his neck second at Brighton earlier in the month. Silky Robin is the pick of the remainder.

This track and SAVANNAH SMILES (nap) are a good fit and last week's narrow defeat came over a trip short of her best.

Having scythed his way through the field to make a winning debut at Chelmsford last month, COSI BELLO could be capable of defying a penalty. Charlie Fellowes' inmate impressed with both his cruising speed and finishing effort, which may be enough to repel chief threat Deira Storm. The Blue Point colt looked unlucky to not score on his opening bid at Wolverhampton last December and isn't taken lightly. Arboreous and Uppercase are others who should have better days ahead of them.

Cosi Bello did it nicely on debut at Chelmsford last month but he'll do well to give 9lb away to DEIRA STORM.

Out of a dual Listed winner, he came in for plenty of market support when second on debut over the course and distance a fortnight ago. While no match for the winner on that occasion, he did draw four lengths clear of the 85-rated Daler in third. A winner on his racecourse bow at Wolverhampton in October before running extremely well to finish second under a penalty at Southwell the following month, IMMEDIATE EFFECT is expected to make a successful reappearance. Duca Di Lucca holds an official rating of 72 and is perhaps the main threat, while Alfie D ought to have learnt plenty from his first start and is most appealing of the remainder.

A switch to more positive tactics saw SEA OF CHARM regain the winning thread over C&D earlier this month. That was the seven-year-old's first visit to this track and and a 3lb nudge up in the ratings looks far from insurmountable. Versatile arrives on the back of a triumph at Bath, but a 5lb penalty and extra quarter-mile in trip could leave him vulnerable. With that in mind, a bigger threat may emerge from the consistent Market House.

Several have possibilities but the vote goes to SEA OF CHARM, who beat an unexposed improver over C&D last time.

With a previous C&D victory to his name further aiding his cause, he looks the one to beat. Drama finished a close third in a warmer contest at Southwell last month and it would be no surprise to see him feature, along with Many A Star.

This looks good for DRAMA (nap), whose two C&D wins last year represent extremely strong form. Tan Rapido can chase him home.

The Pat Fahy-trained mare beat Makaiah by just over a length with Dumb Love and Bynx further behind, and that form was well advertised at Navan on Saturday when Makaiah gained a deserved win. Black Soul is bidding for an unusual hat-trick having won a point-to-point and a Down Royal maiden hurdle.

Having returned to form with a good second over 1m here three weeks ago, LOCAL BAY could be poised to strike. The son of Cable Guy only gave way in the closing stages last time and racing off an unchanged mark, he makes grand appeal reverting to 7f. Despite an 8lb hike the ratings, the biggest danger may be Havana Mojito, who was given a canny ride when scoring at this track in late-April. Recent C&D runner-up Mashaan is also noted.

The progressive HAVANA MOJITO can go in again after winning here last month. Local Bay is second choice.

AUTUMN'S BREEZE produced a career-best effort to take the silver medal home at Yarmouth when last seen and makes her return off an unchanged rating. If the Moore's filly has wintered well, she could take advantage of a winnable opportunity. Tatmeen showed a lot more on his handicap debut to finish second at Lingfield and has to be respected, while Marinakis isn't ruled out either.

After an improved second on his handicap debut and now sent over a trip that could suit, TATMEEN gets the nod.
