CLIMBING struggled over fences at Stratford so returning to hurdles might be a route worth exploring. Jamie Snowden's charge sports cheekpieces for the first time and if they're able to sharpen him up, a second career triumph could await. Camino Rocio, another to have headgear enlisted back over the smaller obstacles, has to be of interest, while Tennessee Orange appeals most of the remainder.

Fair chasers CLIMBING and Camino Rocio revert to hurdling in new headgear. The former is given tentative preference.

MONSIEUR FANTAISIE has done very well since joining the Roger Fell stable and a return to Redcar should suit, having scored over 6f here in May. Joanna Mason's mount has won over this distance before and he gets the vote ahead of Rain Cap, who had Oscar's Sister a place back in third over C&D before finishing fourth at Catterick. Cooperation is another to consider on the drop in class.

The one who arrives in the best form is MONSIEUR FANTAISIE, and this looks a decent opportunity in which to notch a second turf win.

Aidan O'Brien has taken two of the last three renewals and Signora is his contender this year. The daughter of Frankel showed enough to work with when third on her debut in a Group 3 at Naas and it would be no surprise to see her take a big leap forward. Fitzella progressed from her introduction to make a deep impression when victorious at Haydock and is one to watch closely, but a chance can be taken on FAIRY OAK. The daughter of A'Ali outran her odds of 25/1 to finish second on her first start at Navan. With the booking of Colin Keane catching the eye, she could spring a surprise.

Plenty of the runners bring major potential. The suggestion is IPANEMA QUEEN, ahead of Fitzella and Venetian Sun.

A confident vote goes to SHADOWS IN THE SKY, who recorded an emphatic success over an extended 3m at Southwell. The nine-year-old must shoulder a penalty, but he could have more to offer for his new yard and remains the one to beat. Larkfield Lusive was able to build on a promising second at Hexham when on target at Perth and is respected from 4lb higher. Moro Rock was just denied over C&D a week ago so has to be considered too.

Preference is for MORO ROCK, who is effectively 2lb ahead of the handicapper after running a big race in defeat over C&D last week.

Narrowly denied over C&D last month on just her second start for new connections, DUE RESPECT looks the one to beat off 3lb higher with claimer Rhys Elliott retaining the ride. Arriving with similar claims to the selection after going close over track and trip herself last time out, We've Got This is open to more improvement, although her stable has not been firing of late. Bern Rossetti and Rajlakshmi are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

Both Due Respect and WE'VE GOT THIS went close in C&D handicaps last month and slight preference is for Ivan Furtado's filly.

Last year's winner Inisherin proved that dropping back in trip after tasting defeat in the 2000 Guineas can open new doors for a progressive horse and it is highly noteworthy SHADOW OF LIGHT follows suit after his gallant third-placed finish in the Classic at Newmarket. Having won the Middle Park and Dewhurst on his way to claiming champion juvenile honours last year, the son of Lope De Vega is expected to excel as a sprinter. Babouche has already accounted for Whistlejacket in two high-profile races in Ireland so must be regarded as a serious player in receipt of 3lb from the boys. Ides Of March, Jonquil and Big Mojo all hold solid chances of gaining some prize money.

This could go to US challenger SHISOSPICY, who has bundles of pace and impressed when powering clear at Churchill Downs.

PROSPECT HOUSE is now two from two over fences at this venue following his recent 2m1f success, and a subsequent 3lb rise might not be enough to prevent Peter Niven's gelding from going in again. Greenrock Abbey went agonisingly close over C&D last week and is likely to provide stiff opposition, along with Lunar Ocean, who has been admirably consistent since switching to the larger obstacles.

Pipped on the post after looking sure to win over C&D a week ago, GREENROCK ABBEY can gain quick compensation off the same mark.

Turned out again quickly after showing plenty of pace when narrowly denied over further at Chester last week, MARHABA GHAIYYATH should improve for that effort and he may be able to boss this contest from the front. Waleefy has never quite lived up to his lofty pedigree, but returning to a mile for the first time since February 2024 should aid his cause. Padishakh has strong claims on his Nottingham success two starts ago, while Rhythm Master remains a capable sort at this level.

This can go to MARHABA GHAIYYATH (nap), who had a close call at Chester last Friday and is 5lb well in off the same mark.

An Irish raider has taken this valuable prize in the last two years and Ethical Diamond is likely to mount a bold bid in an attempt to improve on that trend. Willie Mullins' five-year-old was fourth when sent off favourite for last year's renewal and returns off 2lb higher, while Almosh'her has an appealing profile after making it two from two in handicaps at York and he may have plenty more in the locker, but HAND OF GOD gets the nod. Harry Charlton's charge came through the field to land the Golden Gates over 1m2f at the 2024 Royal meeting and ran too badly to be true last month at Newmarket on his first start since. The son of Churchill potentially remains on a lenient rating and could bounce back.

Ethical Diamond is second choice behind HAND OF GOD who grabbed the 3yo handicap over 1m2f at this meeting last year.

LITTLE SOIREE comfortably took care of her nearest rival by just over three lengths at Huntingdon last month and the handicapper only put her up 6lb. Considering the manner of that triumph, she could prove tough to beat again. Queens Wish has failed to go forward since her maiden victory at Newcastle, but makes her first start for the Pogson yard so she is one to keep an eye on. Last-time-out C&D scorer Game Beaaa may also have a say.

A speculative option to consider is five-time Flat winner SHE'S GOT BOTTLE, who is still very unexposed over hurdles.

Serenity Blue shaped with promise in a warm Leicester maiden before going on to score at the second time of asking at Nottingham. There should be more to come from James Horton's colt, but he might struggle to concede 7lb to VENEZUELAN. The gelded son of Churchill continues to knock at the door, most recently when second in a handicap at Newmarket. Dropped in grade and with cheekpieces applied for the first time, he could earn a deserved maiden triumph. Clermont Ferrand is also noted.

The trio to concentrate on are Clermont Ferrand, Serenity Blue, and VENEZUELAN. Headgear is likely to help to the selection.

The fact that FALAKEYAH has been supplemented could be a tip in itself, and Owen Burrows' filly looked every inch a Group 1 performer in the making when landing the Pretty Polly at Newmarket. Jim Crowley's mount showed electric pace on that occasion and, as long as she settles, it may be difficult for Zarigana to peg her back. The daughter of Siyouni was awarded the French 1000 Guineas after interference and has given the impression on a couple of occasions that going over further than 1m may bring out the best in her. A slightly unlucky fourth in the Longchamp Classic when short of room, Exactly has a Royal Ascot pedigree being out of Queen Mary winner Heartache, but she will need to improve again. The Flier Begley made it two victories out of his last three outings at Haydock back in April and he may continue his fine form, while Giovanni Change is another to watch out for.

The suggestion is VINTAGE FIZZ, who ran very well in this race a year ago and returns here after a perfectly respectable effort.

IF I COULD DREAM (third) was rapidly closing on Date Line (second) when they chased home a ready winner at Doncaster 13 days ago and it would be no surprise to see the George Scott-trained filly turn the form around now she has experience to draw upon. The latter is a well-bred type, though, and she should have more to offer. Turf debutant Ibshara is another bred to get a trip and she can also be fancied to have learned from her Kempton debut.

Preference is for IBSHARA, who made a promising start behind an odds-on rival at Kempton last week and sets fair standard on that form.

SUPERMODEL turned heads when making a winning handicap bow at Nottingham 19 days ago and she looks one to follow. A 7lb higher mark is unlikely to prevent another bold bid from the lightly-raced three-year-old and a double may be on the cards. Dangers are aplenty, headed by Sweet Chariot, who arrives on the back of a respectable fifth in a Group 3 at Leopardstown and the Wootton Bassett filly is a potential improver racing over 1m for the first time. The hat-trick seeking Silver Ghost is of interest in her current heart, while handicap/seasonal debutant Tabiti cannot be dismissed either, especially in first-time blinkers.

The now-blinkered TABITI was last seen in a Group 1 and this daughter of Kingman could be better than a handicapper.

The unexposed Shoney found the competition too hot at the Curragh last time, but she can make her presence felt in this lower grade, while Moral Turpitude could fare better with last month's comeback run under her belt.

Although only seventh of eight over C&D on his seasonal return, KEEP THE GOLD shaped with far more promise than the bare result would suggest. Eased 2lb after finishing third at Southwell five days later, cheekpieces are applied for the first time and he can step forward. Chief Of State didn't appear to be in love with Ripon latest but could bounce back, while the class-dropping Marajito is also noted.

The most solid option is KEEP THE GOLD, who has been beaten less than 3l in his two handicaps and seems to be going the right way.

If the son of Starman takes a step forward from that experience, he could prove hard to beat. Proof failed to build on his promising introduction when only ninth at Bath earlier in the month, but he may be worth another chance. Selmiya can beat Baybe Driver home for third.

The vote goes to BLUE ORBIT whose second on his Chepstow debut has been boosted by the subsequent wins of the first and third.

OPENING BAT fended off a subsequent winner when scoring over 1m at Kempton last month and reverts to turf with a big chance of following up off just 3lb higher. Saxonia is a dependable performer that can give the selection plenty to think about, while The Hrse Horse and Appleblossomwhite are noteworthy alternatives to also consider. That said, Fitzmaurice wasn't far behind The Hrse Horse on his latest start and he is entitled to improve on his second run since being gelded.

The two well-related and least-exposed runners stand out, with Chindit's brother FITZMAURICE preferred to Opening Bat.

PUPPET MASTER goes from strength to strength. Fourth in the Ballysax at Leopardstown in March, when only a couple of lengths behind subsequent Derby hero Lambourn, he showed further improvement to land the Lingfield Derby Trial last time. There should be even more in the locker and the son of Camelot makes most appeal. Zahrann is another Irish challenger to consider, having won a Listed contest at Leopardstown in fine style, while Amiloc remains unbeaten after easily winning a Listed race at Goodwood and commands the utmost respect. Third in the Dante, the tough and consistent Wimbledon Hawkeye is also likely to prove competitive.

The highly regarded ZAHRANN still looked a work in progress when a Listed winner at Leopardstown and could have plenty more to offer.

There was plenty to like about JENTOBELLO's winning Rules debut at Kelso last month and he warrants respect in his follow-up bid. Iain Jardine's gelding was value for further and he looks more than capable of defying a 7lb penalty. The son of Sea The Moon could improve for this step up in trip and get off the mark at the sixth time of asking. New York Minute has shown enough in his three maiden outings to suggest he could get involved off an opening mark of 71. String Of Pearls is another to keep an eye on.

Stormy Impact, Lexington Blitz and the speedy Ruby's Profit were the first three home in that order in the 3YO Dash at Epsom and all have solid claims once again. The same comment applies to Realign, who is another pace angle based on his dominant return in a maiden at Yarmouth, where he made every yard of the running to establish himself as a prime contender to cope with a step up in class. However, fellow confirmed front-runner REDORANGE shades preference. Having exploited a handy draw to win at Chester, the son of Mehmas could be even more potent with this wider course allowing him more room to maneuver.

Realign could prove a class apart but ZAYER caught the eye at York and cheekpieces could be the catalyst for an improved run.

Subsequently gelded, the son of Almanzor gets another chance to prove his latest running all wrong, and build on the promise shown when returning the ready winner on the Rowley Mile here last autumn. Noble Horizon is steadily improving and found only one too good at Chepstow last time, while Native Spirit will likely have come on for last month's debut at Nottingham.

This is a tight call between I AM I SAID and Noble Horizon but the former sets a high standard back in calmer waters and gets vote.

NORTH COAST made an introduction full of promise when running on into third in what appeared a warm maiden at the Curragh. The extra furlong is likely to play to his strengths and unless there is something well above average among the newcomers, he should make it second-time lucky. His stablemates Green Universe and Which Wolf Wins are high on the list of the debutants, although Ballydoyle colt World Tour cost 250,000 euros as a yearling and is probably the primary threat.

The son of Sea The Moon seemed to get the distance on that occasion, and he is narrowly preferred to Earnest Belief, who improved from first to second start when third over 1m4f at Haydock in May. A winner of two of his last three over hurdles, Moon Chime is an intriguing recruit to this sphere.

This can go to WAY OF STARS who has some good handicap form to his name and should take the beating back in a maiden.

ROYAL MUSKETEER won on the all-weather back in January and returned to the turf with a respectable third on the Rowley Mile here last month. Steph Hollinshead's sprinter drops in grade for this and will be hard to keep out of the finish. Ziggy's Queen faced a tougher task at Pontefract last time and has to be of interest returning to 6f, while Jimmy Knocker posted a better effort at Yarmouth recently and is not out of it either.

Caffu Zafeen can do better but ROYAL MUSKETEER went close over C&D for Ray Dawson last summer and shades it.

ORGAN continues to go from strength to strength this season and, as long as he handles the undulations of this track, the son of Ulysses looks well capable of landing the hat-trick off a 5lb higher mark than his latest Haydock win. A determined winner on his handicap bow at Nottingham, Herculeus is entitled to have plenty more to come after just four starts, while Seven Symphonies is respected after not getting the clearest of runs on his return at Sandown last month.

Preference is for ORGAN, who has shown a good attitude and can complete the hat-trick off a 5lb higher mark.

However, George Scott's charge will need more to complete a double on this switch to handicap company and preference is for ZARATHOS. The Dark Angel gelding appeared to find the 1m1f distance too far on his latest fifth at Musselburgh and a drop in class/trip may prove fruitful. Zabeel Road could make his presence felt too.

Dapper Guest is a possibility, but CAIRDEAS is selected to bounce back from a quieter effort, having previously not had the breaks.

BLINKY caught the eye in the 3YO Dash at Epsom when short of room at a crucial stage before staying on well towards the finish. Another sharp track should suit this speedy son of Mehmas and he is a confident selection ahead of Dan Tucker, who almost got up late to snatch a decent pot at York last week. Making his handicap debut off a mark of 82 following a taking success at Brighton earlier in the month, Getreadytorumble cannot be ruled out either.

It's hard to get away from DAN TUCKER (nap) who is 5lb well in following his narrow defeat at York seven days ago.

Having justified strong support in the market to open his account over an extended 1m at Nottingham 19 days ago, ONE MORE CHROME makes grand appeal on his handicap bow. An opening mark of 75 looks workable for the son of Mohaather and he may follow up if seeing out the rise in distance. Last Galileo arrives on the back of a good second at Haydock and is feared most, ahead of fellow in-form rival Schemaya.
