(12) 10/1(+0%) | (12) Theatre Light 10/1, Raced freely second beaten 1 1/4l in a maiden hurdle over 2m3f at Carlisle latest; longer trip a plus; more to come judged on point win; danger Recorded only a modest RPR when second at Carlisle. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Scarlet Jet |
(7) 12/1(+0%) | (7) Scarlet Jet 12/1, Ran to form 8l third in a maiden hurdle at Ayr most recent run; steadily progressive; off a short-break; touch more needed Moving steadily in the right direction under rules; possibilities. |

(3) 13/2(+0%) | (3) Frisby 13/2, Well backed fourth beaten 19l in a maiden hurdle over 3m1f at Catterick latest; down in trip; off a short-break; more needed and looks one for handicaps after this Remains interesting on his bumper effort behind a very useful rival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Drumlee Myth |
(2) 33/1(+0%) | (2) Drumlee Myth 33/1, Well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Ayr latest; not proven trip; off a short-break; lot to find Consistent in bumpers; perhaps unsuited by soft ground since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Perfect Poli |
(11) 66/1(+0%) | (11) Perfect Poli 66/1, Comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Newcastle last time; absent for very lengthy period; tongue-tie first time; more needed Absent since 2023 and has something to find. |

(5) 11/8(+31%) | (5) Kevin's Pride 11/8, Ideally suited by trip second beaten 1 1/4l in a maiden hurdle over 3m at Limerick latest; down in trip; steadily progressive bumper winner; sets form standard; tough to beat Clear second in each of this three attempts over hurdles; leading chance. |

![]() Liloo D'ores |
(9) 33/1(0%) | (9) Liloo D'ores 33/1, Raced freely second beaten 2l in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Carlisle latest beaten by race fit rival; lot to find Ran well off a modest mark at Carlisle; this is a harder task. |
KEVIN'S PRIDE was impressive in winning a bumper by nine lengths on his racecourse bow at Kilbeggan last August and hasn't done much wrong in finishing second in all three subsequent starts over hurdles. Versatile regarding distance, there is enough to suggest the son of Mount Nelson is worth persevering with here. Point-to-point winner Saint Malinas has shown similar promise in his two starts under Rules and is another key player. Frisby and Scarlet Jet complete the shortlist.
Top-rated KEVIN'S PRIDE has a very solid record and gets the vote ahead of interesting Mary Stanford.

![]() Glory Fighter |
(1) 4/1(+0%) | (1) Glory Fighter 4/1, Ran to form beaten 2 1/4l off 66 at Doncaster last time when returning to turf; down 1lb here and has a good chance down in class Has plenty of near-misses here to go with a C&D win and is on a career-low mark; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Fortunate Star |
(6) 8/1(+0%) | (6) Fortunate Star 8/1, Did not get a clear go at it last time when 1 1/4l behind; unproven on fast ground; generally consistent and down 1lb here; looks a likely contender Unlucky not to go closer behind Kyber Crystal latest; is one of the likelier winners. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dash Gordon |
(11) 10/1(+0%) | (11) Dash Gordon 10/1, No wins on turf yet; not totally reliable Dual Tapeta winner who can pull hard and often hangs left; is far from without risk. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kyber Crystal |
(8) 11/2(+0%) | (8) Kyber Crystal 11/2, Game when landing a handicap by a short-head off 54 at Musselburgh last time ahead of Fortunate Star; likely to be there at the business end Likes Musselburgh and duly won there on her comeback; needs a bit more again upped 3lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ifonlytheycudtalk |
(12) 12/1(+0%) | (12) Ifonlytheycudtalk 12/1, Yard won this last year; did not get a clear run beaten 8l in a handicap at Pontefract last time; usually consistent and can get involved down 1lb Better than able to show on his comeback and is another to consider in an open handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Birkenhead |
(2) 14/1(+0%) | (2) Birkenhead 14/1, Not been at best in three starts this year; raced freely beaten 6l in a handicap at Chelmsford last time; looks to have a bit to do Has three wins, a second and two thirds to his name in seven runs over C&D; considered. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Hurt You Never |
(3) 16/1(+0%) | (3) Hurt You Never 16/1, Probably needed race well beaten in a handicap over 6f at Thirsk latest; hasn't been in any sort of form in most recent runs; plenty to find Didn't offer much on her comeback, so others look stronger on today's course debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Crocodile Power |
(4) 16/1(+0%) | (4) Crocodile Power 16/1, May have needed the run last time when distant last; usually consistent; unproven on fast ground; bit to find 3-5 here but whether they'll come back to him over 5f (stays 7f well) is the question. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Langholm |
(9) 20/1(+0%) | (9) Langholm 20/1, Was back from a long break last time, so may have needed it; enjoys making it and seems to love Catterick; down in trip Does a lot of racing now at 7f and hasn't run over this trip since his 2yo debut; outsider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Refuge |
(7) 25/1(+0%) | (7) Refuge 25/1, A winner in July off 58 (58 today); hasn't shown much since then; others are more reliable On his last successful mark but might just need this at his age after seven months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Golden Prosperity |
(13) 25/1(+0%) | (13) Golden Prosperity 25/1, Below par beaten 6l in a handicap here last time where Jamie's Choice was 6l ahead; a bit to find Hasn't been in much form but the cheekpieces returning should help. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jamie's Choice |
(10) 9/2(0%) | (10) Jamie's Choice 9/2, Ran to form beaten a head off 53 here last time; that was behind Stroxx, who was just behind Kyber Crystal on start before; chance Close to career-best effort on her C&D comeback; this is tougher from a wide stall though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Let's Go Hugo |
(5) 7/1(+13%) | (5) Let's Go Hugo 7/1, Ran well last time, making up ground from the back on first start since November; can come on for that and should be competitive here Consistent, made a pleasing comeback and is fairly treated, so has to be considered. |
Kyber Crystal made a winning return to action at Musselburgh earlier in the month and commands plenty of respect off a 3lb higher mark. The form was given a quick boost by the runner-up winning here the following week but the second from that more recent contest, JAMIE'S CHOICE, is fancied to go one better. Tracy Waggott's mare only went up 1lb for that display and a similar effort may suffice. Others to note are Glory Fighter and Let's Go Hugo.
Paul Midgley holds a strong hand, with GLORY FIGHTER, who's on a career-low mark, preferred to C&D specialist Birkenhead.

![]() Rattling Road |
(5) 3/1(+0%) | (5) Rattling Road 3/1, Travelled well beaten a short-head off 118 at Newcastle last time where went too fast and set it up for closer; off a short-break; may contend Record of 4112 since switched to chasing; looks a solid contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bashers Reflection |
(6) 5/1(+0%) | (6) Bashers Reflection 5/1, 18l third in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Kempton most recent run unsuited by track; threw race away previously; chance but enthusiasm concerns 0-6 over fences but has place claims on most of that form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ostend |
(4) 7/1(+0%) | (4) Ostend 7/1, Ideally suited by trip when landing a handicap by 21l off 115 over 2m3f at Market Rasen last time though race fell apart; trainer in form; good ground suits; can follow up Improved for tongue-tie at Market Rasen; may well build on that win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Denemethy |
(2) 8/1(+0%) | (2) Denemethy 8/1, Ran to form beaten a neck off 120 over 2m1f at Market Rasen last time; longer trip should suit; off a short-break; probably bit to come Has form figures of 41322 since switched to chasing; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bois Guillbert |
(3) 10/1(+0%) | (3) Bois Guillbert 10/1, Well backed when scored by 6 1/2l off 115 over 2m at Newcastle penultimate start; fifth beaten 16l off 122 last time let down by jumping; should show some improvement but must do to figure Jumped okay on chase debut but lacked fluency last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Inox Allen |
(7) 11/1(+0%) | (7) Inox Allen 11/1, Well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Kelso latest; visor first time; off a short-break; good mark but may find ground on the quick side Ran well in sole chase attempt; interesting back in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dare To Shout |
(1) 11/2(+0%) | (1) Dare To Shout 11/2, 12l third in a handicap chase over 3m2f at Kelso most recent run where failed to stay; down in trip; not out of it Consistent but may have to settle for another supporting role. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Next Left |
(9) 13/2(+0%) | (9) Next Left 13/2, Made too much use of 10l third in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Fontwell most recent run; good ground suits; handicapper relenting; could bounce back Rather exposed but this Skelton runner is hard to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Carcaci Castle |
(8) 18/1(+0%) | (8) Carcaci Castle 18/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m at Carlisle latest; not proven trip; big stamina concerns Has become exposed and best form is at shorter. |
Ostend, Dare To Shout and Rattling Road have plenty going for them and each merits close inspection. However, BASHERS REFLECTION is dangerous to underestimate given the reliability he has shown in his three starts since undergoing wind surgery, with his most recent third in a class 2 chase at Kempton looking a particulary persuasive piece of form in the context of this race. The aforementioned Ostend is feared the most after a wide-magin success with a first-time tongue-tied added at Market Rasen.
With the tongue tie retained, OSTEND could well follow up his Market Rasen win. Rattling Road is second choice.

![]() Tees Aggregates |
(8) 3/1(+0%) | (8) Tees Aggregates 3/1, Ran to form beaten a head off 65 here last time; has a chance with conditions to suit Gelded over the winter; solid comeback from the same stall on his C&D return; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Lucius Aurelius |
(9) 4/1(+0%) | (9) Lucius Aurelius 4/1, Unproven at the trip; ran up to form last time; can contend Plenty of toe in two runs back over 6f since being gelded; won't be any excuses this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Beaujolais Nouveau |
(4) 7/1(+0%) | (4) Beaujolais Nouveau 7/1, Put in a career best to win on last start by 1 3/4l; if finding that form after some time off, she can be competitive Looks to start handicap life on a workable mark if ready to go after seven months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Military Girl |
(7) 8/1(+0%) | (7) Military Girl 8/1, Raced too freely at Musselburgh last time; returns today from long layoff; has stall 1; can find some improvement Best judged on her closing nursery third off 2lb higher; will need to improve on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Rock N Roll Rocket |
(3) 10/1(+0%) | (3) Rock N Roll Rocket 10/1, A couple of good efforts in last four starts; ran to form last time; down to 5f today; should be in the mix Trainer currently 3-13 with 3yos here; interesting to see how he goes in the market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Commander Atkinson |
(5) 16/1(+0%) | (5) Commander Atkinson 16/1, Well below par last time; in good form prior; cheekpieces first time; ground may be a bit quick today Not seen since poor one on Tapeta in December (never travelled); first-time headgear today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jm Jhingree |
(1) 17/2(+0%) | (1) Jm Jhingree 17/2, Suited by the testing ground beaten 2l off 74 at Nottingham last time; first time hood and first start for new trainer; ground would have to be a bit of a concern Plenty of rain would suit on last year's evidence and make his wide stall less of an issue. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() I'm Next |
(6) 7/1(-8%) | (6) I'm Next 7/1, Looked to have a bit in hand landing a handicap by 2l off 66 at Nottingham last time ahead of Jm Jhingree in second; up 6lbs today; unproven on fast ground; contender Handled heavy ground well on his final run last year; remains lightly raced upped 6lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Indy's Angel |
(10) 40/1(-60%) | (10) Indy's Angel 40/1, Struggled under a penalty on last start; back to 5f today; likely has a bit to find on return from long break 3lb higher back from seven months out; not certain to be suited by the drop to an easy 5f. |
TEES AGGREGATES bounced back from a couple of below-par efforts at the end of the last campaign when runner-up over C&D a fortnight ago and Adrian Nicholls' gelding may well take advantage on this occasion, especially with the majority of the line-up returning from a break. Military Girl won here on her second start last May and remains open to improvement, while J Street and Beaujolais Nouveau appear best of the remainder.
Only two of these have run recently and LUCIUS AURELIUS (nap) has plenty in his favour returned to 5f. Tees Aggregates is next best.

![]() Brendas Asking |
(6) 3/1(+0%) | (6) Brendas Asking 3/1, Raced freely down the field in Ryanair Mares' Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) over 2m1f at Cheltenham most recent; this much easier; previous Graded form sets standard; go close 200-1 when tailed off at Cheltenham Festival; big player judged on her better efforts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() More Coko |
(1) 6/5(+0%) | (1) More Coko 6/5, Yard won this last year; raced freely second beaten 20l in a novice hurdle over 2m5f at Plumpton latest; hood first time; down in trip; big chance despite big weight Three easy wins before his shock defeat at at Plumpton (2m4f, good) last month; hooded now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Star Artist |
(3) 16/1(+0%) | (3) Star Artist 16/1, Won a maiden hurdle at Exeter over 2m1f by 2 1/4l last time; trainer in form; needs to improve to follow up in stronger contest Won three-runner race latest; can improve but much better is needed against some of these. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jager Time |
(4) 150/1(+0%) | (4) Jager Time 150/1, Below par fourth beaten 47l in a novice hurdle at Ffos Las latest where went too fast; needs to improve Towards rear in two bumpers and beaten 47l when 40-1 at Ffos Las (2m) on hurdles debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Regal Cavalier |
(5) 250/1(+0%) | (5) Regal Cavalier 250/1, Raced freely well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Wetherby latest; not proven trip; likely wants easier ground Faded to go down by 37l at 66-1 in maiden hurdle at Wetherby (2m, good) last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Silk Bird |
(7) 250/1(+0%) | (7) Silk Bird 250/1, Did not get a clear run comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Stratford last time; generally out of form in both codes; not proven trip; all to do Absent 482 days before tailed off in four races on Flat and one over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Don't Mind If I Do |
(2) 2/1(+11%) | (2) Don't Mind If I Do 2/1, Raced freely 4l third in a novice hurdle over 1m7f at Wincanton most recent run; steadily progressive; can get involved back from break Easily obliged when 1-5 and he's a big form player judged on placed efforts either side. |
Brendas Asking has faced uphill tasks in Grade 2 company in recent months and she must enter calculations reverting to class 4 company, more so with Nathan Andrews taking a hefty 10lb off her back. However, MORE COKO is better than last month's 20-length defeat over an extended 2m4f at Plumpton and he is slightly more compelling. Willie Mullins' gelding ran too keen and this 2m distance should see an improved display. Don't Mind If I Do is also noted.
More Coko could redeem himself for Willie Mullins but might find that conceding 19lb to C&D winner BRENDAS ASKING is a tricky task.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kiss Will |
(9) 11/2(+0%) | (9) Kiss Will 11/2, Probably outclassed well beaten in Turners Novice Hurdle (Grade 1) over 2m5f at Cheltenham latest; top jockey step up in trip could suit; stable first string on jockey bookings; in the mix Came up well short in the Turners but seems likely to do better still. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Mister Meggit |
(11) 11/4(+0%) | (11) Mister Meggit 11/4, Probably needed race fourth beaten 3l in Sefton Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) over 3m1f at Aintree latest where travelled best but outstayed late having challenged early; slight drop in trip a plus; the one to beat Might have won a substandard Sefton with a better jump at the last flight. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Minella Rescue |
(10) 14/1(+0%) | (10) Minella Rescue 14/1, Ideally suited by trip second beaten 2l in Sefton Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) over 3m1f at Aintree latest where flew home; stiff track should suit; usually held up; probably bit to come if getting decent test Runner-up in a substandard Sefton; beaten in a handicap the time before. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Roaring Conquest |
(12) 14/1(+0%) | (12) Roaring Conquest 14/1, Well backed 9l third in Albert Bartlett Prestige Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) at Haydock most recent run where poorly placed to challenge; stiffer track a plus; steadily progressive; probably bit to come Rallying third in Grade 2 a Haydock last time; could well rate higher still. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() You Oughta Know |
(13) 14/1(+0%) | (13) You Oughta Know 14/1, In need of the experience fourth beaten 17l in Paddy Kehoe Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) over 2m4f at Fairyhouse latest; should show some improvement but stable holds stronger claims Below par last time but he's trained by Willie Mullins and not written off. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Royal Infantry |
(3) 22/1(+0%) | (3) Royal Infantry 22/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in Top Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) over 2m at Aintree last time where ground too quick; usually consistent; up in trip; needs to improve and wants easier ground Back down in grade but has stamina to prove upped markedly in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jupiter Des Mottes |
(8) 22/1(+0%) | (8) Jupiter Des Mottes 22/1, Well backed second beaten 5l in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Ayr latest; that form franked; steadily progressive; up in trip; lot to find up in grade Form of latest effort has been boosted; 2-2 previously; still unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Gale Mahler |
(14) 28/1(+0%) | (14) Gale Mahler 28/1, Ideally suited by trip when won a novice hurdle at Ayr over 2m4f by 3l last time; trainer in form; not proven trip; vulnerable to less exposed rival Listed winner last summer but this is a stronger race for the grade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jig's Forge |
(7) 12/1(0%) | (7) Jig's Forge 12/1, Ran to form comfortably held in Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (Grade 1) at Cheltenham last time; worth marking that up; unexposed at 3m; usually consistent; probably bit to come Good sixth at huge odds in the Albert Bartlett; could go well again. |
HORACES PEARL was unbeaten going into the Grade 1 Mersey Novices' Hurdle at Aintree and, given he stumbled two out, his fifth-placed finish in that race was commendable. This looks a shade easier and a resumption of winning ways is a distinct possibility, with the longer trip a potential source for improvement. Dedicated Hero is another key player after securing a Grade 2 success at Haydock most recently, while Minella Rescue and the unexposed Kiss Will are other notable contenders in a strong renewal.
Plenty of the runners have possibilities in this open and competitive race. HORACES PEARL is first choice ahead of Mister Meggit.

(7) 15/8(+0%) | (7) Tralee Girl 15/8, Has run well on first two starts; looked in need of further and goes up in trip today; the one to side with Two good runs in maidens on AW as 2yo; this stiffer test seems sure to suit. |

![]() Brave Emerald |
(4) 28/1(+0%) | (4) Brave Emerald 28/1, Well beaten in a novice over 10f at Redcar only start; top course trainer; up in trip and hard to recommend Step up in trip can suit but was beaten a long way on Redcar debut this month. |
Having let down favourite-backers on both starts to date, BELGRAVIAN is expected to benefit from stepping up in trip in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Tralee Girl is bred to stay well and has to enter the reckoning based on her placed efforts at Wolverhampton. Newcomers Cayman Dancer and Dubaian can fight it out for the minor honours.
Maybe the step up in trip will prove the answer for Belgravian but the concession of weight to TRALEE GIRL might prove beyond him.

(4) 15/2(+0%) | (4) Swift Jet 15/2, Comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time unsuited by watered ground; in good form prior; up in trip; good mark on maiden form; very interesting 2l behind Doctor Midas in a maiden over C&D; interesting back up in trip on handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Butler's Brief |
(2) 12/1(+14%) | (2) Butler's Brief 12/1, Probably needed race down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Wetherby most recent; trainer in form; up in trip; has won off higher marks; risky While better is likely today than on latest start, others are still more persuasive. |
KITESURFER clearly wasn't at his best when finishing seventh at Huntingdon 197 days ago and may be worth chancing on his return to action. The six-year-old had previously looked progressive when scoring at Worcester and he looks capable of more. The Bold Thady was a respectable fourth at Ascot in November and Neil Mulholland's charge must be monitored in the betting. Mikimoto appears best of the remainder.
Kitesurfer and The Bold Thady could prove vulnerable to the handicap newcomers DOCTOR MIDAS (nap) and Swift Jet.

![]() Space Voyage |
(6) 18/1(+0%) | (6) Space Voyage 18/1, Bit too much to do second beaten 3 1/4l in a handicap chase over 3m1f at Wincanton latest; stiffer track a plus; steadily progressive; feasible threat Fairly useful form since wearing blinkers; could go well in the retained blinds. |

![]() Autumn Return |
(2) 66/1(+0%) | (2) Autumn Return 66/1, Well treated at weights when won a handicap chase at Market Rasen over 2m5f by 3l last time; not proven trip; off a short-break; plenty more needed Two from two at Perth but this looks a difficult task; first go at 3m under rules. |
FUN FUN FUN represents Willie Mullins and will likely prove a warm order. She won a Grade 3 novice chase with any amount in hand when upped to 3m at Limerick a month ago, and will likely prove hard to stop given these favourable terms. Stable companion Paggane scored nicely at Clonmel last time, but the progressive El Elefante is a bigger threat representing last year's winning trainer. Coco Mademoiselle was still in contention when falling at Cheltenham last week, though has plenty to find in this company.
Useful FUN FUN FUN looks difficult to oppose on ratings. El Elefante is second choice.

TROIA won a decent-looking maiden at Newbury last summer and was then held on to until pitched into the Oh So Sharp at Newmarket in October. A respectable fourth in that Group 3, Ed Walker's Kingman filly has bags of scope and dropping back down in class provides an ideal platform for a confidence-boosting return. Magna Grecia Star eclipsed her promising Kempton debut with a facile success at Wolverhampton last month. Switching to turf, she is feared more than the newcomers Marsh Meadow and Invincible Ruby.
Magna Grecia Star remains promising but she may find TROIA a touch too classy with that filly having run well in Group 3 company.

(3) 18/1(+0%) | (3) Planet Legend 18/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m1f at Wincanton latest; not proven trip; off a short-break; bit to find back from break on chase debut Very in and out recently over hurdles; switches to chasing. |
A step up in trip brought about an improved performance from TOMMYS CHARM when finishing a close-up second over 3m1f at Wincanton in January. Kerry Lee's inmate only gave way in the closing stage and today's 3m distance could prove fruitful. The biggest threat may emerge from Ultra Beat, who opened his account at Southwell 27 days ago and a 3lb higher mark is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Chasing debutant Planet Legend is the pick of the remainder.
This may be between tidy last-time-out winner ULTRA BEAT and the extremely lightly raced Wincanton runner-up Tommys Charm.

PARISENCORE has been threatening a return to winning ways. Beaten only a neck in the Castleford Chase at Wetherby in December, he returns to action here and Nicky Richards' charge gets the vote. Netywell showed signs of a resurgence when runner-up at Kelso and looks on a workable mark, while Etalon drops in class and is no forlorn hope for the Skelton yard. Vocito represents last year's winning trainer and makes most appeal of the rest.
Off an attractive mark returned to this grade, ETALON (nap) is particularly interesting. Vocito is second pick.

STORM PIECE showed plenty of promise in three maiden outings last year and handled testing ground when again filling the runner-up spot on his reappearance over this trip at Naas last month. The Ger Lyons-trained colt had Iron Fist nearly five lengths back in fourth and may now have most to fear from Kilmood Susan. She moves up to this distance for the first time after finishing well over 6f on soft ground at the Curragh and receives plenty of weight, especially when factoring in Nicola Burns' 7lb claim. Gran Habano certainly won't lack for experience and has placed form on the turf and all-weather, including when third to The Liffey Swim over a mile here last time.
With several coming back from lengthy breaks, a chance is taken on the consistent KILMOOD SUSAN to gain a deserved first win

ANOTHER BAAR is back on a nice mark and appeals strongly after making up for a slow start with an eyecatching finish over this trip on his seasonal return at Leicester. Animate struck over 6f here last June and, equally effective over this trip, he could be on the premises if he copes with being drawn widest of all. Capital Guarantee has fared better on that score and is another to bear in mind on his first start back after wind surgery.
All eyes will be on last year's winner RED MIRAGE as he bids to take his first-time-out record to 5-6. Another Baar is next best.

![]() Lake's Aventurine |
(13) 66/1(0%) | (13) Lake's Aventurine 66/1, Wide trip well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wincanton latest; generally out of form; not proven trip; more needed Has failed to back up debut effort in her seven races since, including three handicaps. |
VARINIA showed improvement when sporting cheekpieces for the first time to fill the runner-up spot at Fakenham at the start of the month. Stuart Edmunds's six-year-old was put up 6lb for that effort, but looks to have found a winnable contest to defy that rise. Versace Twentyone finished second in maiden company at Hereford last month and could have more to offer on only his second handicap outing. Manala looks best of the rest.
Rockola and Nobody's Perfect have handicap wins. Game On Babe and Manala are unexposed, and VARINIA too is interesting.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Santa Clarita |
(13) 40/1(+0%) | (13) Santa Clarita 40/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Ayr latest where looked lazy; more needed Two good efforts at about 2m5f in midwinter but pulled up on last two starts; 6lb wrong. |
JUMPING SUSIE faced a stiff assignment in Listed company at Cork last time, but she won a novice event at Kelso in fine style before that and John McConnell's inmate gets another chance at this lower level. Little Miss Dante looks fairly treated based on her latest fourth at Aintree, while Hay Meadow can make her presence felt now handicapping after landing a novices race at Ayr. Parisian Fashion is another to note.
A handful of these make some appeal with FEACH AMACH making most appeal after her wide-margin Sedgefield win.

DANCE FOR CHESTER relished testing ground when landing a gamble on his reappearance for Mick Mulvany over 5f at Naas last month. The son of Ribchester, who has since joined Stephen Thorne, had Historical Fact about seven lengths back in fifth, with James The Second in rear, and finished strongly up the hill to suggest he can stay this trip. Weegeebear rates an obvious threat having won two claimers this year, including over a mile here last week. Kilgharrahs Love showed her best form on heavy ground last year and was placed behind Chica Guerrera over C&D in the autumn.
Running on testing ground for the first time brought the best out of DANCE FOR CHESTER last time and he can back up his recent Naas win

![]() Rajawail |
(8) 66/1(+0%) | (8) Rajawail 66/1, Well held in a maiden over 8f at Southwell last time; out of form; ground possibly a bit on the quick side; not proven over the trip; has to find a bit Poor maiden who finished well beaten the only two occasions she's gone beyond 1m2f. |
Hurdling didn't work out for STELLARMASTERPIECE, but she showed her appreciation for the return to the level when successful over C&D a fortnight ago and another bold bid is forecast. A 3lb nudge up the ratings looks more than workable for Micky Hammond's mare and she is preferred to reopposing second Magnetic North. The veteran enjoys a 1lb pull with the selection and he isn't taken lightly. Lawmans Blis is also noted reverting to the Flat.
The C&D handicap in which STELLARMASTERPIECE edged out Magnetic North recently may well hold the key.

CAPTAIN TOMMY failed to complete the hat-trick when well beaten into second at Kempton earlier in the month, but he has three previous course successes to his name and can record another. Haven't Time finished a good second at Taunton before being pulled up in the Hunters' Chase at the Festival last month, but may be worth another chance. Yccs Portocervo is the pick of the remainder.
Captain Tommy has set out his claims the most clearly in recent outings but YCCS PORTOCERVO could return to form.

Now that DUBAI IMMO has regained the winning thread after a taking performance at Chelmsford last time out, the six-year-old could have more improvement forthcoming off a 4lb higher mark. A capable sort on his day, Visibility can follow the selection home, along with Palazzo Persico, who has dropped back to his last winning mark. Beauld As Brass and Crafter are entitled to be thereabouts as well.
There were mitigating circumstances for CRAFTER's disappointing run here last time and he can bounce back to form.

HENRYSBROTHERJACK arrives seeking a third win of the season, with the six-year-old having improved for a step up in distance at Bangor last time. The manner of that performance suggested further progression is likely, despite a 6lb rise from the handicapper. Bollin Neil sprung a surprise at Catterick before a solid Hexham second and is expected to be in the mix along with Shuil Ceoil.
The pick is HENRYSBROTHERJACK, who made it 2-5 in handicaps when finishing well for a clearcut success over 2m7f at Bangor in February.

Although a long-standing maiden, DEUTERONOMY ran arguably his best race to date at Leopardstown earlier this month, getting no luck in running inside the final furlong and eventually having to settle for third. Still towards the bottom of the handicap and with Nicola Burns claiming a valuable 7lb, he should give a good account of himself if handling the testing ground. A case can be made for many others in this competitive heat, with dual course winners Lisabetta and The Fog Horn both of interest. Racing on turf for the first time, Still She Blooms and Happy Henry warrant respect, while Navan third Navorrosse and Superior Force are others for the shortlist.
A wide-open handicap but it might pay to side with one drawn middle to low and with conditions to suit, ASISAID can find his form again

![]() Running Cool |
(4) 20/1(+0%) | (4) Running Cool 20/1, Out of form last season; has to find a fair bit to be winning this Resumes another 5lb lower but would want to see some support before considering him. |
PROTEST RALLY returned from a 208-day break to finish a good second over track and trip earlier this month. Liam Bailey's gelding makes plenty of appeal racing off just 1lb higher and he looks primed to strike at this level. The biggest threat may emerge from Mojomaker, who reappeared after almost three months off with a respectable third at Thirsk. Market support for stable debutant Soul Seeker would be interesting.
There's little to choose between PROTEST RALLY and Sacred Falls on recent C&D running, with the former just shading it.

THE EGYPTIAN GINGE took a big leap forward from his first start under Rules to finish a close fourth at big odds at Kempton last month and is likely to have more improvement in him. Point-to-point winner Jorah D'alma changed hands for 75,000 pounds in May last year and has to be considered on his first outing in a bumper. Uptown Lass and Madajovy can fight it out for the minor honours.
The Egyptian Ginge might prove best of those to have run under rules. Close attention must be paid to Madajovy and JORAH D'ALMA.

Not beaten far at Brighton on her first run for the James Owen team, CABLES QUEEN is likely to relish going back up to 7f and she can get off the mark at the third time of asking. A 7lb penalty for scoring at this venue recently will make life tougher for Annsar, while In A Hurry has strong claims if building on a creditable debut second at Newcastle last June.
Cables Queen should go well back at 7f but GREY PHOENIX could be the answer now hooded for the first time.

A respectable fourth on his handicap debut at Newbury last time out, course winner JACKPOT DES BORDES should appreciate a return to novice company and he can strike on ground that is likely to suit. Handlethekettle has undergone wind surgery since a disappointing effort in the Persian War back in October and better can be expected of Jamie Snowden's charge. Bara Tara can pick up the pieces if the aforementioned pair falter.
Maiden hurdle winner HANDLETHEKETTLE had a tough task in a Grade 2 latest and has leading claims back in calmer waters on his return.

HAPPY INDEX has improved 23lb in the space of four runs, including victories here in September and at Market Rasen, and the daughter of Blue Bresil has been freshened up since filling the runner-up spot at Taunton in December. Maura Jeanne took a step back in the right direction at Newcastle and is of interest with cheekpieces reapplied. Follow Charlie and Nathan Wells complete the shortlist.
There are a few factors that may enable RASCAL to register a first handicap success. Happy Index is feared most.

Proven on testing ground, handicap debutant MATAARIKI gets the nod in this competitive affair. The Joseph O'Brien-trained four-year-old won on debut here this very day 12 months ago and was a good third on her penultimate start at the Curragh. Disappointing in Listed company at Chantilly in November, she could prove nicely treated off a mark of 84. O'Brien also saddles Shavasi, who can't be discounted, while top-weight Indigo Five is sure to prove popular after her win at the Curragh. The Johnny Feane-trained six-year-old appears to go on any ground and she should give a good account of herself, with Wesley Joyce claiming a valuable 5lb. Three-time winner Bellaphina, Paul Flynn's Fast Tara and Naas third Sara Valentina are others for the shortlist.
INDIGO FIVE won in the manner of a very progressive horse at the Curragh last month and the form received a nice boost on Saturday

A creditable second over 2m at Kempton last time out, NAASMA should be suited by dropping back in trip and she is just 2lb above her last winning mark. That may be enough to see off the consistent Cerulean Summer, who has been placed on six of her last seven outings. A determined winner at Brighton last September, Innisfree Pearl can have a say off 2lb higher on her return.
Naasma and GOLDEN DOVE (nap) look the two to focus on and the latter can build on her promising recent stable debut.

JACKSBAR was given a bit too much to do behind an in-form front-runner at Southwell last week, but she rallied well for second and must hold every chance on this occasion off the same mark. A surprise winner here over shorter on her first start for this stable back in November, Chabadatika is a key player. Breccia bounced back to form in a seller at Exeter, but has more on her plate now.
Dan Skelton's JACKSBAR was a close second on her step up to 3m at Southwell last week and she gets the vote ahead of Chabadatika.

An excellent second to subsequent Group 1 winner Scorthy Champ on debut, DAHLIA NOIR has been a shade disappointing since. Starting off in handicap company, she was a solid fifth on her return to action at Leopardstown last month and, back in calmer waters, she looks the one to beat. While the ground is a bit of an unknown, it's worth noting that her dam won on soft. Joseph O'Brien saddles three of the 16 set to take part, with Dylan Browne McMonagle opting to partner debutant Shrihara. Upped to a mile for the first time, Its All Peachy should be able to make an impact with Colin Keane aboard. Lady Lilac, Echinacea and Restful are others for the shortlist.
SHRIHARA has an attractive pedigree, is bred to handle this ground and is taken to make a winning debut for Joseph O'Brien

GHAIYYA returned to the fray with a solid effort over 1m2f at Newcastle. She rallied gamely in the closing stages to snatch second place and this step up in distance looks in her favour. Hatysa is bred for middle-distances and will likely improve for this longer trip, while Rogue Impact debuts for James Owen and is another to note. Houndsworth finished third at Kempton recently, but has plenty to find with the selection on these terms.
Derby entrant Rogue Impact can leave his 2yo run well behind over this new trip and is preferred to Hatysa and Simply Ruby.

![]() Bobby's Fortune |
(2) 6/1(+33%) | (2) Bobby's Fortune 6/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Fakenham latest where failed to handle track; cheekpieces first time; trainer in form; not proven trip; unproven on fast ground; unreliable Bumper winner but has form figures of 6P494P over hurdles; others preferred. |
LARA KALEO showed decent improvement from her first to her second start when runner-up at Sedgefield and going up in trip may be just what is needed on her handicap bow. A mark of 95 looks manageable and she is preferred to Newton Abbott second Sevenofus and Bruce Gobbler, who caught the eye when staying on for fifth over shorter here last month. Others to note include Bobby's Fortune, Jukebox Annie and Karakoy.
The vote goes to the very lightly raced LARA KALEO, who looks interesting upped in trip on her handicap debut.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained ANNIE'S ANGEL may be able to defy top weight, minus leading apprentice Wayne Hassett's claim. A maiden winner at Galway on her second start, the Dark Angel filly enters handicaps off a feasible mark and, also proven over a mile on heavy ground, there is much to recommend her. Cork third Scott Key would be a serious contender if the ground dried out. Untried on softer than good/yielding, the gelding should go close if handling the surface. Bishopton should have no issues with either trip or ground if ready after an absence.
The top weight ANNIE'S ANGEL won her maiden on heavy for this rider at this track and his 5lb claim eases her burden

Not for the first time, STARTLING failed to stay 6f at Newcastle last time. However, the daughter of Zoustar recorded all three of last year's victories over the minimum trip and she gets another chance, having also returned to a winning mark. She Went Whoosh posted one of her better efforts at Catterick a fortnight ago and could be in the mix, while Kameko Spirit returns to the all-weather with a shout.
Spring and She Went Whoosh are high on the list but STARTLING is back to a winning mark and can score for the fourth time.

TARITINO beat Galactic Glow comfortably by more than three lengths over track and trip earlier in the month and is expected to confirm that form. The five-year-old is just 4lb higher and it would be no surprise to see him complete a double. Fine Point went in at Kempton on his latest outing and may have more to offer on only his third handicap start. Record Art isn't out of it either.
Preference is for TARITINO (nap), who justified favouritism over C&D two weeks ago and a 4lb rise for that success looks fair.

Nicola Burns can add another winner to her tally, with DUMB LOVE holding strong claims. The Gerard O'Leary-trained mare looks very well treated off her present mark of 56 and, when taking into account the additional 7lb that Burns takes off her back, the five-year-old really catches the eye. Proven on heavy ground and over an extended trip, she showed her well-being when finishing third over hurdles at Cork in January. Elle Dorado Rock won on his most recent start on the Flat, but that was on the Polytrack at Dundalk. If handling conditions, he should make his presence felt. Your Honor is another to consider under Ben Coen.
BRILLIANT QUESTION (nap) ran well over timber here last month, will relish the ground and this looks a decent opportunity for her

Raqraaq recorded his second C&D victory when scoring by a neck in January and should mount a bold bid off just 2lb higher. However, DAISY ROOTS made a pleasing start for the Jim Boyle stable when finishing second and four lengths clear of the third over track trip at the start of the month. With a similar performance, she could prove hard to beat. Newfangled completes the shortilst.
Newfangled and RAQRAAQ bring solid form into the contest and can fight out the finish. The selection still looks nicely treated.

Man Of The Sea occupied the runner-up berth in this sphere at Plumpton in October and proved his well-being when scoring on the Flat at Bath on his return to action earlier in the month. He ought to go close, but the vote is instead handed to HIM MALAYA. Paul Nicholls' six-year-old finished a respectable third over C&D last month and can capitalise on an unchanged mark. El Gavilan is another to keep an eye on.
Several have possibilities but the vote goes to HIM MALAYA, who has had a win and creditable third over C&D in his last two starts.

![]() Just Ten High |
(1) 9/2(+0%) | (1) Just Ten High 9/2, Slowly away when scored by a length off 59 at Wolverhampton in February; sixth beaten 7l off 63 last time; usually consistent; handles Polytrack; needs to bounce back, fair chance Four wins since September; two runs last month less encouraging but back down in class now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Harry Brown |
(5) 9/2(+0%) | (5) Harry Brown 9/2, Below par beaten 7l in a handicap at Kempton last time; in good form prior; goes well here; looked close to finding level again prior to latest blip, contender off a further 2lb drop Down in the weights but on a long losing run and checked out tamely at Kempton last time. |

![]() Prince Of Bel Lir |
(2) 10/1(+0%) | (2) Prince Of Bel Lir 10/1, Below par beaten 6l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; generally out of form; not out of it on pick of 2025 form but bit to prove after three below par efforts Won a Class 5 off this mark in January; has a point to prove after three poor runs though. |

![]() Knockout Blow |
(4) 16/1(+0%) | (4) Knockout Blow 16/1, Well backed when landing a handicap by a length off 59 last time to bag a CD double; absent for very lengthy period (last seen in June 2023); bang there if fit after long layoff Chasing a C&D hat-trick but he's been off the track for 674 days; enough to prove. |

![]() Okami |
(6) 16/1(+0%) | (6) Okami 16/1, Probably needed race beaten 3 1/4l off 59 here last time; top course jockey; probably best at 7f; regressive; lot to do Generally struggled for this yard; down in the weights but others are more appealing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Unavailable |
(8) 17/2(+0%) | (8) Unavailable 17/2, Made too much use of beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap over 5f here last time; CD winner; enjoys making it; return to 6f a big positive; could go close Well backed when winning over C&D in December off this mark; held over 5f since; good draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Poet |
(9) 50/1(+0%) | (9) Poet 50/1, Probably needed race well beaten in a classified race over 8f at Brighton latest; generally out of form; returning from long layoff; retained ability to prove, tough task Stood little racing in recent seasons and hard to recommend back from another absence. |
Knockout Blow was last seen completing a double over C&D in June 2023 and is an interesting contender on his first start for the Stephanie Cassidy yard, but it may be best to side with PHOENIX MOON. The four-year-old signed off her 2024 campaign with a comfortable C&D success and returns off only 4lb higher. Provided Denis Coakley's filly is ready to go, she will prove tough to beat. Big Bard isn't ruled out either.
Market confidence behind the reappearing Phoenix Moon would be signifcant but UNAVAILABLE might take some pegging back from stall 2.

![]() Robin Blue Breast |
(3) 12/1(+0%) | (3) Robin Blue Breast 12/1, Well beaten in a bumper at Chepstow only start; likely improver but must do to figure 80-1 and was a well-held fifth of eight on Chepstow debut (2m, good) last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() The Flaming Galah |
(1) 25/1(+0%) | (1) The Flaming Galah 25/1, Well beaten in a conditions race at Larkhill latest; hood first time; returning from a break; all to do Failed to beat a rival in two point bumpers and can only be watched on rules debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Colour Clash |
(2) 33/1(+0%) | (2) Colour Clash 33/1, 1,000 euros Order Of St George mare; yard not known for debut winners Makes some appeal on paper and needs checking in market on debut. |
BOB BISHOP showed ability when finishing third on his debut over track and trip and could take a big step forward with that experience under his belt. This looks a winnable contest and it would be no surprise to see him score. Top Tier Gossip is a big player if building on her second at Stratford, which came prior to her finding a warmer contest too much of an ask at Ascot. Any market confidence behind Colour Clash would be interesting.
Preference is for Joe Tizzard's BOB BISHOP, who made a promising start when third behind a 1-2 shot over C&D last month.
Ths is the racecard key.
