NANDITA's price tag increased from 165,000gns as a foal to 725,000gns the following year and the daughter of Blue Point merits the utmost respect on that basis. Luminare is a half-sister to the 7f Group 3 winner Raqiya and she has to be noted for a yard in top form right now. Others who make the shortlist are Awaken, America and Gold Digger.

Most of these fillies cost six figures at the sales, NANDITA being the most expensive. Gold Digger is second pick.

William Haggas won the 2021 and 2022 editions of this race and The Reverend is likely to be another popular choice for the Newmarket trainer. However, on the forecast going, the up-and-coming ALMOSH'HER could be the way to go as he switches to turf after a gutsy win at Kempton on his handicap debut in March. Now with Karl Burke, the son of Sea The Stars edges the vote based on his obvious potential. Stressfree, Paradias and Max Mayhem are other solid contenders.

It's a puzzle and a chance is taken that PARADIAS can carry on his good work from the AW at 1m2f-1m4f. Almosh'her is second choice.

COURAGEOUS STRIKE didn't need to improve from first to second start for new connections when scoring comfortably at Chepstow and he looks capable of following up under a 7lb penalty. Kalize may well have gone closer at Haydock but for some poor jumping and improvement can be expected on this occasion, while Linden Lane has strong claims if bouncing back to the form of his penultimate third at Fakenham.

It's hard to see beyond COURAGEOUS STRIKE who has impressed with the way he's taken to hurdles and can concede the penalty.

BERRY CLEVER was caught late on when second over a mile here last month and the application of first-time blinkers, as well as a drop in trip, may well be enough to see the four-year-old go one better. Shaw Park has been knocking on the door of late and should be in the mix once again, while Daring Legend completes the shortlist.

The vote goes to BERRY CLEVER, who was worn down late over 1m here last month but can get his head in front back at 7f in blinkers.

With plenty of pace drawn high, TWO TRIBES could be ideally berthed in stall 15. The Richard Spencer-trained four-year-old made a pleasing seasonal debut when third in a heritage handicap at Newmarket 11 days ago and should relish this return to York. Change Sings and Secret Guest also appeal from the high numbers, while the revitalised Mister Sox commands respect bidding for a four-timer. Kevin Ryan has won the last two renewals and has other notable each-way options in the form of We Never Stop and Bergerac.

Better is expected from Ramazan but WE NEVER STOP has flourished over the winter and should be equally adept back on turf.

Now that the penny has dropped for GET THE VALUE after a taking success over shorter at Stratford last time out, he should have plenty more to come off 9lb higher. Runner-up over C&D before, the seven-year-old gets the vote ahead of Taunton winner Inchagoill Lady, who drops markedly in trip, and Pink Eyed Pancho, who is up 7lb for also scoring at the Somerset venue last time out.

This is competitive for a Class 5. SQUARE DU ROULE (nap) is out of the weights but it was a big step forward when fourth at Warwick.

Inisherin backed up a Group 2 win at Haydock with a ready success in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot last June, although he was beaten twice at the top level subsequently. Having had a wind problem addressed since he was last seen, the son of Shamardal merits a close look here. Nevertheless, FLORA OF BERMUDA could be the way to go, as she is a previous C&D winner, who has done nothing but progress in the face of some high-profile assignments. The improving Night Raider could be the pick of Karl Burke's three contenders.

This easy track favours prominent racers and it should be ideal for NIGHT RAIDER who is taken to transfer his dynamic AW form to turf.

Seamus Mullin's charge can notch up a fifth career success at the main expense of Unspeakable, who returned to winning ways with a taking performance over shorter at Taunton last month. Runner-up at Chepstow most recently and successful here last July, Dancingontheedge cannot be ruled out either.

Morfee and Dancingontheedge both make some appeal but UNSPEAKABLE has more to offer at this level following his Taunton win.

Whirl has something to prove after finishing sixth on her seasonal debut in a Group 3 over 1m at the Curragh last month, although she is a potential improver now stepping up in distance. However, the unbeaten SMOKEN ended last year's campaign with a cosy victory in the Montrose at Newmarket. Ralph Beckett's filly is one to follow and her upward trajectory may continue. Serenity Prayer and Go Go Boots have yet to taste to defeat as well, which adds further spice to the mix.

They all bring positives but last month's good-ground Newbury maiden winner SERENITY PRAYER can prove herself in this higher class.

A relatively promising third when last in action over C&D in October, ANOTHER ABBOT has undergone a gelding operation since, which could bring about the necessary improvement on his handicap debut. A mark of 70 looks manageable, and he is narrowly preferred to recent Wolverhampton scorer Nightbird, who has been raised 2lb for that maiden success. Fiorella Princess and Rogue Bullet are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The Michael Bell stable can do little wrong at present and this represents an ideal opportunity for JUNGLE CRUISE to follow up on a comfortable success over further here last time out. Dropping back in trip should not be an inconvenience and he may have too much for Anglo Saxson, who has strong claims on his penultimate third over C&D with Hollie Doyle taking over in the saddle. Once Adaay has dropped back to a mark 6lb lower than his last success and must also enter calculations.

The unexposed 4yo Jungle Cruise is a key player but a chance is taken on SHAWS PHOENIX, who has an eyecatching record here.

Under The Radar (fourth) finished behind Bravo Hotel (third) on his debut at Pontefract in April, before going on to win comfortably at Thirsk earlier this month. The Profitable colt will have more on under the penalty, though, and it is UTMOST RESPECT that edges preference. Richard Fahey won this with the useful Shadow Army 12 months ago and this son of Invincible Spirit, who fetched 220,000gns at the Craven Breeze-Ups last month, could be of a similar mould. Ballistic Missile is also noted.

The three who have raced all shaped nicely but the newcomers are a strong-looking bunch. ROY LANE is preferred to Utmost Respect.

The 5lb penalty should be no barrier to further success, but there can be no slip-ups from her wide draw and the runner-up is preferred. Adrian Wintle's veteran has rediscovered some form and ought to hold every chance from an unchanged mark. Agent Mayfair has been running with credit on the all-weather and is of interest switched to turf for the first time.

BARDENSTOWN LAD could be very hard to beat on these terms. Having unseated at Valentines in the Foxhunters' at Aintree before taking a fall at Stratford on his most recent start, the 10-year-old does need to stage a mini-revival. However, this isn't the strongest of races and he could capitalise on his stamina holding sway in this much more winnable event. Montanna and Gateau De Miel can chase him home.

A weak hunter chase that should go to BARDENSTOWN LAD if he can rediscover his winning form at Fakenham in February.

Ambitiously tried in a Listed bumper on her introduction at Limerick in March, PORTETTA ran with credit to finish sixth of 10 and had two previous winners behind. Easy to back when third at Bangor last month, the Le Havre grey starts off over flights now and with Paddy Hanlon claiming 7lb, she should give a good account of herself. Jonny Carol is likely to step forward from his debut effort at Limerick last month, while the Henry de Bromhead-trained pair of Ballyearl and Doctor Confusion both warrant respect.

May not take much to win and market will guide as to best of the newcomers. BALLYEARL may finish best of those with experience.

The son of Rumble Inthejungle chased home a potentially useful filly of Richard Hannon's over the minimum trip here on his debut and natural improvement may well suffice. Mehmas Air Force is another to consider.

The likes of Takeonedayatatime, Robin Blue Breast and She's Our Last are all capable of taking a step forward now they have some experience to draw upon. However, the bar isn't set remarkably high and it could be worth taking a chance on the Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls-trained newcomer, FALSE FLAG, whose dam won a bumper on her first career start. This could be an ideal placement for the four-year-old filly to repeat the feat.

Sent off at 66/1 on her debut over flights at Navan in March, EASTERN WIND was running a fine race until she was brought down at the last and although beaten at the time, she was likely to be placed. A useful performer on the level, she registered a fifth career win at Bellewstown last month and it will come as no surprise if she manages to follow up now. Out of action for well over two and a half years, it will be interesting to see how Boujee fares. Successful in a bumper on her sole start to date, she had five subsequent winners behind, with the high-class Jetara among them. The 103-rated Mile End has some solid recent form to her name and it will be disappointing if she's not involved towards the business end. Second when last seen at Kilbeggan and Tramore respectively, Walk On Annilog and Nutbush City both warrant respect, while Whispering Hopes and Teenage Kiss are others for the shortlist.

GREEN SKY's latest effort at Ayr was a truer reflection of her ability, filling the runner-up spot after reverting to front-running tactics, and this may be the opportunity the five-year-old has been waiting for to get off the mark in this sphere. Lets Mingle was a length behind the selection in third on that occasion and is likely to pose a strong threat, while Getaway Frankie is worth another chance following her hurdles debut when pulled up early at Carlisle.

Green Sky was just ahead of LETS MINGLE over 2m last month but the latter can reserve those placings over today's longer trip.

It's difficult to rule any of these out and only a tentative vote can go to BINTALINA. Sent off favourite on her debut at Haydock last month, she showed promise, despite having a couple of things go against her. She can put that experience to good use now, though, and repel the likely challenge of Fool Again, who has been competing in handicaps. Camino De Santiago heads the remainder.

Things didn't pan out ideally for BINTALINA on her debut and it would be no surprise were she to leave that bare form behind now.

The consistent ONEBRIGHTBLUEROSE can win again off this kind of mark. The Excelebration mare ran a solid race here over fences six days ago, off a 4lb higher rating, and may have been closer but for a mistake two out. Her sole win over timber came off a mark of 83 and she's capable of striking again now off 3lb lower. Nusra is another who usually runs her race. She was no match for easy winner Star Official in Tramore last time, but it was a solid effort and she has been eased 1lb since. Getaway Henry was in good form last summer and is one to note on his return.

Despite making a few mistakes, ONEBRIGHTBLUEROSE made the frame over fences here last week. She has good prospects now

GIMME A BUZZ had a couple of decent runs at Clonmel earlier in the year and looks up to winning a weak contest. The Soldier Of Fortune gelding's best effort was when fourth on his handicap debut in mid-January and a similar run may be enough now. Patty O'Farrell showed significant improvement when chasing home Party President at Naas early last month and if she can repeat that, she will be a big player. Good Bye Milan, a winner at Gowran last October, is another who has to come into calculations.

JOE'S TURN availed of a patient ride to get up in the final strides of a staying handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan and could follow up. Although he has gone up 6lb to a mark of 86, that is still some 5lb lower than his chase rating. Lummi Island looks a major player. The money came for him at Limerick in March and he asserted approaching the last before falling. Midnight Fairy takes a big step up in trip after a couple of runner-up finishes at Limerick and Kilbeggan, but she is a half-sister to a staying winner in Britain. Ballerina Boxer finished well in second over 2m6f at Down Royal, while Navy Waves is another with a chance.

Unlucky not to get closer but still a solid runner-up at Down Royal last time, BALLERINA BOXER can go one better today.

SOMPTUEUX boasted some useful form when racing under Rules in Ireland and his recent exploits between the flags suggest that he's recaptured a lot of his sparkle. Tommy Morgan's inmate arrives here as the highest-rated contender and is taken to repel chief threats Deerstalker and Glen Cannel. Both have yet to convince with their stamina for 3m, with the former slightly more compelling judged on his latest second in a point-to-point.

He's patently not the force of old but SOMPTUEUX looked in pretty good nick when bagging two small-field points this spring.

Having found only an ultra-progressive subsequent multiple winner too strong on her handicap bow, PENN AVENUE has to be of strong interest. The assessor has been extremely lenient in only raising the daughter of Mohaather 1lb and the extra quarter-mile looks perfect. The biggest threat may emerge from Respiro Solitario, who finished behind the selection in third at Wetherby. Battle Stride is also worth a second look now dropping in distance.

SUNNY SOUTH WEST was far from outclassed in fifth in a Grade 1 bumper at the Punchestown Festival. Prior to that, he won nicely in Clonmel and he will appreciate this better ground. Moon Eclipse wasn't a factor in a Listed mares' bumper at Fairyhouse last month, but could bounce back. She landed a Leopardstown bumper on debut in March. Delta Force hasn't been out since winning a bumper at the Galway Festival last summer, so the market should be informative in relation to his chance. Angelo Dundee has ability, as evidenced by winning a Punchestown bumper on debut over two years ago. He has been absent since finishing fourth in this contest 12 months ago, but would be a threat if ready to go.

A repeat of his fine effort in the Grade 1 Punchestown Champion Bumper will make SUNNY SOUTH WEST(nap) difficult to beat.

DONSO STAR's sole success came from 4lb lower at Ayr in March, but Mike Smith's mare has remained in good form since then and may well provide some value now afforded an ease in class. Bleu Lagune shaped with promise on her handicap bow last month and is respected from 1lb higher, while Larkfield Lusive and Carlisle scorer Rickety Gate are just two others to consider.
