![]() Pigeon House |
(2) 11/10(-38%) | (2) Pigeon House 11/10, Best of the hurdlers in this race and in generally good form over timber of late; decent effort when last seen on the Flat; handicap mark looks more than fair and good man on top Ran well on latest Flat start last May but not at his best over hurdles lately. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Trojan Sun |
(4) 5/2(+0%) | (4) Trojan Sun 5/2, In good form towards the end of last season scoring narrowly here (2m2f) off a mark of 53; top course trainer; could figure if straight enough for reappearance Ended last season in good form (course winner) and remains lightly raced for his age. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Spartan Warrior |
(1) 5/1(+23%) | (1) Spartan Warrior 5/1, In solid form over hurdles and won a couple of handicaps on the Flat at Beverly (up to 12f) last season; blinkered first-time and tongue-tied after a recent wind operation; good amateur takes ride Soundly beaten here on stable debut in November but has shown some hurdling ability since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Glasses Up |
(5) 11/2(+45%) | (5) Glasses Up 11/2, Very consistent on the Flat last season, winning narrowly at Ayr (10f) off a 58 and backing that form up numerous times after; has stayed further than this off a slow pace, but is returning from a break Consistent over middle-distance/staying trips last season; resumes on career-low mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Throne Hall |
(3) 13/2(+80%) | (3) Throne Hall 13/2, Well beaten in two hurdles of late and in very moderate form on the Flat prior to that; has decent old form at marathon trips without definitely staying and all considered most to prove of these Well handicapped on form as recent as last summer but must prove his wellbeing. |
Trojan Sun won over 2m2f here last summer and is only 2lb higher. He can feature again if fully primed for his reappearance, but SPARTAN WARRIOR is fit from hurdling. The son of Saxon Warrior returns to the level, having landed a double over middle distances at Beverley last term, with this extra test of stamina promising to bring further improvement. Pigeon House has struck over timber since he was last seen in this code and Simon Walker's presence is a positive.
Consistent veteran GLASSES UP is taken to exploit a career-low mark on his seasonal debut.

![]() Ardisia |
(1) 7/4(+7%) | (1) Ardisia 7/4, £33,000 Ardad colt; half-brother to Prince of Rome, smart at 5f; dam useful at 6f at 2yo; nicely bred and yard get good quality stock; market move would be significant £33,000 half-brother to three winners; likely type on paper; one to take seriously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ours De Soleil |
(4) 11/4(+0%) | (4) Ours De Soleil 11/4, 8,000gns Kodi Bear filly; half-sister to Botanist, very useful at 6f; dam smart at 6f at 2yo; top trainer who knows what it takes to win these early season juvenile contests Half-sister to 6f 2yo winner Botanist (RPR 79); powerful stable; betting to guide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Filly Foden |
(3) 3/1(+10%) | (3) Filly Foden 3/1, £25,000 Ardad filly; half-sister to Vasco Da Gama, useful at 8f; dam high-class at 7f; yard's representative in the Brocklesby ran well for a long way and this looks similar type £25,000 half-sister to 3 winners; dam useful (7f); foaled over 2 months later than rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dandy Speed |
(2) 10/3(+5%) | (2) Dandy Speed 10/3, 7,000 euros Dandy Man colt; half-brother to World Of Darcy, very useful at 5f; dam very useful at 6f at 2yo; yard in good form, have 2yo's ready and this one is bred to be very sharp 7,000euro half-brother to useful sprint winner World Of Darcy; dam 6f winner; check market. |
The betting will likely offer some clues to the chances of these newcomers, but Hugo Palmer boasts a good strike-rate at this venue and ARDISIA may prove good enough. The son of Ardad is related to three winners and is entered in a couple of big sales races later in the year. Dandy Speed is an early foal and his half-brother made a winning debut, while Filly Foden is another Ardad progeny and is preferred to Ours De Soleil.
The pair with the most appealing paper claims look to be Dandy Speed and ARDISIA. Hugo Palmer's newcomer is just preferred.

![]() Bond Broker |
(1) 8/15(+52%) | (1) Bond Broker 8/15, Plenty in hand when won a novice hurdle at Sedgefield over 2m1f by 15l last time; enjoys making it; every chance despite big weight 2-2 over hurdles, making all in small field both times; limit of ability hard to gauge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Mister Cessna |
(4) 13/8(+0%) | (4) Mister Cessna 13/8, Probably outclassed down the field in 'Fred Winter' Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham most recent; winner in France; has course form; may ideally want easier ground but should go close Well beaten at Cheltenham last month but better judged on his C&D second two runs ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() An Buachaill Rua |
(2) 9/1(+36%) | (2) An Buachaill Rua 9/1, Won a maiden point at Dungarvan over 3m by 15l last time; back in trip; worth a market check ahead of debut Won Irish point by 15l in February and should have a future under rules. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Farhh Echo |
(6) 22/1(-10%) | (6) Farhh Echo 22/1, Had benefited for debut experience fourth beaten 3l in a juvenile bumper here latest where had run of race; returning from a break; bit to find on hurdle debut Showed some ability in autumn bumpers but improvement is needed on this hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() New Man |
(3) 33/1(+0%) | (3) New Man 33/1, 60l fourth in a novice hurdle at Hereford first-time out folding tamely; returning from a break; all to do Well beaten when fourth in modest Hereford novice on debut in November; not seen since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Cherryhawk |
(5) 50/1(+0%) | (5) Cherryhawk 50/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Chepstow latest; not proven trip; 12f flat winner; off a short-break; could leave debut form behind Out of form on Flat in the autumn and struggled (albeit on heavy ground) on hurdle debut. |
Having scored at Southwell and Sedgefield this season, unbeaten hurdler Bond Broker must warrant respect. However, a further 5lb penalty does demand more from Paul Nicholls' gelding and it could be worth taking a chance on MISTER CESSNA bouncing back. Although the four-year-old couldn't land a blow in the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival, a reproduction of his C&D second in February may prove sufficient. Winning pointer An Buachaill Rua merits a market check on his Rules bow.
Preference is for free-going front-runner BOND BROKER, who is unbeaten after two hurdling starts.

![]() Land Afar |
(1) 8/13(+15%) | (1) Land Afar 8/13, Below par comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m5f at Leicester last time where unsuited by heavy; in good form prior; off a short-break; tough to oppose down in grade Disappointing latest but that was on heavy and he's a major player if he can bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Denzil |
(4) 9/4(+10%) | (4) Denzil 9/4, Raced freely 18l third in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Warwick most recent run; not proven trip; looks main danger to short priced fav Stratford winner who still has potential and he's respected dropped into a seller. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kintaro |
(2) 7/1(+30%) | (2) Kintaro 7/1, Below par fourth beaten 3l in a handicap hurdle at Taunton latest where found little for pressure; in decent form in autumn; plenty to find on figures Longstanding maiden under both codes and has lots to find on these terms. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Breccia |
(5) 9/1(+36%) | (5) Breccia 9/1, Well backed beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Wincanton last time where poorly placed; more to come judged on flat form but needs it Dual Flat winner but she's 0-5 over hurdles and needs plenty of progress back at this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Saddlers Dream |
(3) 33/1(+0%) | (3) Saddlers Dream 33/1, Not clear run comfortably held in a maiden hurdle over 1m7f at Wincanton last time; cheekpieces first time; not proven trip; all to do Tailed off in both bumpers and same story at massive prices in two hurdle runs last month. |
It is extremely hard to oppose LAND AFAR, who chased home a subsequent Grade 2 winner at Huntingdon two starts ago. The 10-year-old failed to fire at Leicester when last seen, but he should prove to be a cut above now eased significantly in grade. Kintaro's fourth in handicap company at Taunton suggests that he might be the main threat, ahead of Denzil.
The lightly raced 10yo LAND AFAR had an excuse on heavy ground last time and should be hard to beat if he can get back near his best.

![]() Motawaared |
(6) 11/10(+32%) | (6) Motawaared 11/10, Couple of good efforts on the all-weather, latterly beaten 2 1/4l in a novice at Southwell; rangy, athletic sort who may want further ideally, but open to improvement and should go well Promise in both AW runs this year and far from exposed; leading claims for Newmarket yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Zowal |
(9) 11/4(+8%) | (9) Zowal 11/4, 69,000 euros breeze-up purchase by Zarak; dam useful at 6f; market could be a guide, but not cheap and quite nice pedigree; one for the short-list Sold for 69,000euros having shown clear promise in three French runs; free-going colt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Clouds Hill |
(4) 7/2(+13%) | (4) Clouds Hill 7/2, Cracksman colt; half-brother to Fall Of Rome, very useful from 7f to 8f as 2yo; dam very smart at 8f at 2yo; yard in good form; very interesting debutant Closely related to useful 7f winner Fall Of Rome; has a useful standard to aim at on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Raulin |
(7) 7/2(+0%) | (7) Raulin 7/2, Three sound performances to date, 1 1/4l third in a novice at Newcastle most recently; steadily progressive; returning from a break, but feasible threat His improved third in November came on AW but he should be just as good on turf; claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Dwindling Funds |
(1) 22/1(+33%) | (1) Dwindling Funds 22/1, Intrinsic gelding; half-brother to Maybe Even Never, useful over 5f; dam very useful from 5f (at 2yo) to 6f; yard in good form Half-brother to a 6f winner out of a winning sprinter; best watched on belated debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Tee Aitch Aye |
(2) 28/1(+15%) | (2) Tee Aitch Aye 28/1, Fascinating Rock gelding; half-brother to Believe Me Now, fair at 8f; likely to need further and plenty of time Only minor appeal on paper and likely one for the longer term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Gaelic Gladiator |
(5) 33/1(+18%) | (5) Gaelic Gladiator 33/1, Minor promise debut, but disappointing fourth beaten 14l in a novice at Ayr second start; much more needed than that to figure here Two runs last autumn weren't without hope; yard in form; needs a good step forward though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Transfuse |
(8) 50/1(+24%) | (8) Transfuse 50/1, Promise on debut at Dundalk, but down the field in a novice over 7f at Newcastle most recently; step back up in trip may help; returning from a break and more needed Down the field in two runs (for J O'Brien on debut) last autumn; hard to recommend here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Masala Chai |
(3) 100/1(+0%) | (3) Masala Chai 100/1, Pretty poor in bumpers and comfortably held in a novice over 7f at Newcastle on Flat debut; hood first time; not proven trip; all to do Modest form in bumpers and on her Flat debut five weeks ago (7f, AW); now tried in a hood. |
MOTAWAARED took a step forward when finishing runner-up at Southwell last month. Any further progress could make him hard to beat, with retained jockey Jim Crowley taking over the reins for his only ride at the meeting. Raulin ended last year with a promising third at Newcastle and he looks a threat, while Zowal is hard to assess on his placed efforts in France but should be noted debuting for new connections.
The ex-French Zowal is respected but Newmarket raider MOTAWAARED can build on last month's promising second at Southwell.

![]() Sainte Doctor |
(1) 6/5(+100%) | (1) Sainte Doctor 6/5, Improved again; when landed handicap by a length off 113 over 2m7f at Stratford last time; trainer in form; down in trip; sharp tracks suit; threat Good-ground C&D winner last spring and back in good form in recent weeks; good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Regal Renaissance |
(2) 11/8(+39%) | (2) Regal Renaissance 11/8, Benefited from drop in class second beaten 9l in a handicap chase here latest; goes well here; good mark on autumn win; every chance Largely consistent mare who ran well in defeat over C&D six weeks ago; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Trapista |
(4) 4/1(+0%) | (4) Trapista 4/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase over 2m3f at Wetherby latest; off a short-break; back below last winning mark; likes this track; contender back on better ground Completed hat-trick with C&D win last spring but was out of form when last seen in winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Happy D'ex |
(3) 16/1(-14%) | (3) Happy D'ex 16/1, 47l third in a handicap chase over 2m at Warwick most recent run where trip too sharp; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; has dropped a long way in weights; outside chance Back from long absence with two very underwhelming runs this year; cheekpieces now added. |
SAINTE DOCTOR supplemented her Fakenham triumph when following up at Stratford last month. The nine-year-old scored a shade cosily on both occasions and she looks more than capable of defying a further 4lb rise. The biggest threat may emerge from Regal Renaissance, who arrives on the back of a solid second over C&D. Happy D'ex is racing off a career-low mark and Sheila Lewis' mare shouldn't be underestimated sporting first-time cheekpieces.
Regal Renaissance is very likely to run well again but SAINTE DOCTOR is back in very good nick and can complete a hat-trick.

(1) 13/8(+0%) | (1) Rangatira Jack 13/8, Game beaten 2l off 91 here last time benefitting from easy lead; in the mix if in the same form 12-race maiden but he was a close second in a C&D handicap last time; big player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Moonlight Artist |
(5) 11/4(+21%) | (5) Moonlight Artist 11/4, Looked regressive comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Taunton last time; generally out of form; trainer in form; tongue-tie first time; yet to take to chasing; risky Unexposed chaser who is on a dangerous mark and needs a close look after wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Blue Ribbon |
(6) 5/1(+64%) | (6) Blue Ribbon 5/1, Probably needed race comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m at Taunton last time; generally out of form; not proven trip; oppposed Overall record of 1-21 and was always behind on recent comeback at Taunton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Wot You Wearing |
(2) 8/1(+0%) | (2) Wot You Wearing 8/1, Not clear run fourth beaten 57l in a handicap chase over 3m at Chepstow latest; that decent form; good mark on hurdles form; very interesting Out of sorts over hurdles of late and was tailed off on chase debut last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ici La Reine |
(3) 9/1(-29%) | (3) Ici La Reine 9/1, Down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Southwell most recent; longer trip a plus; outside claims on chase debut Two bumper wins but he's generally struggled over hurdles; plenty to prove on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Constant Friday |
(4) 10/1(-25%) | (4) Constant Friday 10/1, Comfortably held in a handicap chase over 2m2f at Fontwell last time; longer trip a plus but needs to improve 10yo who is still unexposed over fences but he needs a major revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Miss Marette |
(7) 11/1(+31%) | (7) Miss Marette 11/1, Looked regressive down the field in a handicap chase over 2m2f at Taunton most recent; not proven trip; returning from a break; outsider Had another wind op but has plenty to prove on her return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Hi Riko |
(8) 16/1(+20%) | (8) Hi Riko 16/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow latest where never travelled; not proven trip; off a short-break; bit to find 17-race maiden who was pulled over hurdles latest; opposable. |
RANGATIRA JACK bounced back to form when not beaten far into second over C&D a few weeks ago and the Linda Blackford-trained seven-year-old clearly tops the shortlist on the back of that performance, despite a 2lb rise. The rest all arrive here with plenty to prove, but Constant Friday and Wot You Wearing are the pick of them on recent evidence.
Most of these have lots to prove but RANGATIRA JACK was second in a C&D handicap last month and is a big player if he can back that up.

![]() Ramon Di Loria |
(6) 2/1(+33%) | (6) Ramon Di Loria 2/1, Ran on strongly off a career-low mark when landing a handicap by a nose off 54 over 6f at Wolverhampton last time; up in trip, but good efforts C&D in September; big chance Got up in the last stride to win at Wolverhampton (6f) three weeks ago; more needed up 3lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Keep Me Stable |
(8) 4/1(+0%) | (8) Keep Me Stable 4/1, In excellent form and right up to best beaten 2l off 53 at Newcastle last time; ran to similar level here back in October and remains on a very competitive mark Comes here on the back of three placed efforts; likely to make another bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Impeach |
(9) 6/1(+50%) | (9) Impeach 6/1, Slowly away and only a fraction below current form when beaten 2 1/4l off 51 over 8f at Newcastle last time; enjoys making it; will be effective down in trip and acts on turf Down in the weights and shaped okay over 1m last week; 0-14 on turf and 0-17 over 7f+. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Clasina |
(2) 13/2(+19%) | (2) Clasina 13/2, Form steadily tailed off at the end of last season, probably best effort 3/4l 3rd off 67 in a Haydock handicap (7f) in September; significant jockey booking, but off a break and a bit to prove Nine-race maiden but she returns from a break on a dangerous mark; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Falcon Nine |
(1) 17/2(-6%) | (1) Falcon Nine 17/2, Ran to form beaten 1/2l off 59 at Wolverhampton penultimate start, but too free in front and disappointed last time; not entirely certain 7f suits, but does go well on turf Exposed maiden but he's on a handy mark and can build on last month's stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Capuchinero |
(3) 9/1(+10%) | (3) Capuchinero 9/1, Beaten 4l off 61 at Wolverhampton last time; better effort a neck second off 59 at same course previous start; form about as good on turf; can contend Just one win on turf but she comes here with a feasible mark on this winter's best form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Coconut Bay |
(10) 11/1(+8%) | (10) Coconut Bay 11/1, In good form at low level in classified stakes in February and March, but well beaten off a 49 back in a handicap last time; mark looks on stiff side Wolverhampton win in February but others bring more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Doomsday |
(11) 11/1(+8%) | (11) Doomsday 11/1, Beaten a neck in an apprentice handicap (8f) here in September by Without Delay; lost form after that; mark has dropped back a pound and goes well here, but likely to need this after a break C&D win last summer but likely best watched back from six months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Golden Valour |
(5) 12/1(+25%) | (5) Golden Valour 12/1, Ready winner by 1 1/2l off a 53 over C&D in October on penultimate start; bit below that up to 58 (today's mark) only run after that; clearly likes track, but may need reappearance run and mark seems quite stiff C&D win off 5lb lower last October; needs to return at the top of his game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Without Delay |
(4) 14/1(+0%) | (4) Without Delay 14/1, Well backed when winning an apprentice handicap by a neck off 57 here over a mile in September; ran terribly only start after; likes track; off a break and may just need it and official mark dropping a pound or two Three-time course winner; had a wind op since last seen; back from six months off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bird Of Play |
(7) 14/1(+30%) | (7) Bird Of Play 14/1, Long way below 2023 level throughout 2024 and this winter; last of eight latest at Wolverhampton and while mark is falling, it remains higher than level of form for last 12 months Yet to shine for this yard and opposable despite his reduced mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Thunderstorm Katie |
(12) 25/1(+24%) | (12) Thunderstorm Katie 25/1, Has lost form since beaten a couple of lengths off 48 at Newcastle (6f) in late October; best form on turf is arguably on testing ground, but so badly out of form that is irrelevant at presenrt Nine-race maiden; hasn't built on a promising stable debut in three runs since. |
RAMON DI LORIA justified favouritism by the smallest of margins over 6f at Wolverhampton last month and is only 3lb higher. Ewan Whillans' seven-year-old is a previous C&D winner and it would be no surprise to see him complete a double. Keep Me Stable hasn't finished out of the frame in each of her last three starts at Newcastle and should remain competitive. Falcon Nine is another to keep an eye on.
Capuchinero, Clasina and FALCON NINE appeal most, with the latter taken to leave last month's stable debut well behind.

![]() No Worries |
(4) 11/2(+15%) | (4) No Worries 11/2, Below par well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Market Rasen latest; in good form prior; longer trip should suit; returning from a break; contender if fit Absent since disappointing run in November and remains on fairly tough mark. |

![]() Tellairsue |
(5) 17/2(+58%) | (5) Tellairsue 17/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Southwell latest where went too fast; not proven trip; off a short-break; outsider Returned from long layoff with encouraging run in December but performed poorly last time. |
The introduction of first-time blinkers worked the oracle for ELUSIVENESS when scoring with ease at Taunton eight days ago. A 7lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold showing from Jeremy Scott's mare and she's fancied to fend off fellow last-time-out winner Crac De Megaudais. The six-year-old drew 12 lengths clear of his nearest pursuer at Fakenham on New Year's Day, but a 13lb hike may prove his downfall. Handicap debutant El Rayo may fare best of the remainder.
Everything seemed to have clicked into place for ELUSIVENESS at Taunton last week, and she can overcome her 7lb penalty here.

![]() Espoir Des Forges |
(2) 13/2(+13%) | (2) Espoir Des Forges 13/2, 102l third in a novice hurdle over 2m5f at Market Rasen most recent run; not proven trip; off a short-break; good mark on spring maiden form; outside chance Disappointing in his last two runs and has something to prove on handicap debut. |
SUPER SAINT appeared to have plenty in hand when winning on his handicap debut over 2m4f at Sedgefield last month and a 3lb rise may underestimate Paul Nicholls' gelding. Al Sayah racked up a double when last seen over obstacles in May and has to be noted on her return to action, while Broderick edges out Koukeo to be best of the rest.
Preference is for SUPER SAINT (nap), who justified favouritism on his handicap debut at Sedgefield and is open to more progress.

![]() Curious Rover |
(4) 16/1(-14%) | (4) Curious Rover 16/1, Won a Redcar handicap (5f) by 3/4l off a 79 in October, but below that form both starts since, latterly on the all-weather at Newcastle; returning from a break and others make more appeal 5f win at Redcar (soft) last October; will need to be at his best after a 146-day break. |
Paddy's Day successfully completed a four-timer at Newcastle on his most recent start and continues his rise through the ranks. However, with all of these victories coming at the same track and another career best needed, it may be best to side with SPARTAN ARROW. The five-year-old made his second outing for the Archie Watson yard a triumphant one at Wolverhampton and might have more to offer. Last-time-out Chelmsford scorer Thankuappreciate isn't out of it either.
Paddy's Day has been thriving on AW but SPARTAN ARROW (nap) boasts some strong turf form and can follow up his Wolverhampton win.

A winner over C&D before, JAVA POINT bounced back to form with a strong runner-up effort at Sandown last time out and conditions should be in his favour once more as he looks to go one better. Narrowly denied at Warwick on his most recent outing, Destroytheevidence is entitled to be thereabouts again, as well as Annsam, who landed this contest in 2023 off 5lb higher.
This can go to DESTROYTHEEVIDENCE (nap), who made a very good start to his chase career in the autumn and ran well in defeat last time.

SEEYOUINMYDREAMS clearly wasn't at her best when racing too keenly for her own good at Kempton in October and the drop back in trip is likely to see Paul Nicholls' mare in a better light on her handicap bow. Inside Man won over C&D in November and is expected to benefit from returning on a sounder surface. The consistent Princess T and Campaign Trail head the remainder.
Dual hurdle winner SEEYOUINMYDREAMS could resume her progress back at this trip on handicap debut and she gets the vote.

Dermot Weld saddled a double at Leopardstown on Sunday and could have the answer here with WILD SAPPHIRE. The son of No Nay Never kept good company on both outings in 7f maidens last autumn and finished strongly when a close third to Expanded at the Curragh. Broadstone showed promise on his only start in a Curragh maiden that has worked out quite well, while Gran Habano has plenty of experience and was placed a couple of times at Dundalk over the winter. Any market moves for newcomers Standard Deviation (by Invincible Spirit) or The Liffey Swim, who cost 110,000 pounds at a Breeze Up sale last spring, would be significant.
Well bred WILD SAPPHIRE ran a big race on debut in what looked an above average maiden and soft ground may have been against him since

Placed on three of her four career outings, including on debut here, PRINCESS PW has been freshened up ahead of her first crack at a handicap and can deservedly get off the mark. Mullwarchar hasn't really built on a promising effort first time out at Wolverhampton, but a mark of 68 on his handicap debut looks manageable. Sovereign Class ran creditably when fifth at the same track recently and is another to consider.
The pick is PRINCESS PW, who showed clear promise in her qualifying runs and looks interesting upped to this trip on handicap debut.

D DAY ARVALENREEVA could not have done it any easier when scoring at Market Rasen last week and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to stop her from following up over slightly shorter. Lady Caro deservedly got off the mark with a determined performance at Plumpton last month, and she is a key player, along with Organic, who has yet to click for new connections but could be interesting on her handicap debut.
She beat only three rivals on her handicap hurdle debut but D DAY ARVALENREEVA did so very comfortably and recorded a good time.

A DEFINITE GETAWAY appears for the first time since December and won't be found a better opportunity to get his head in front. His last success came here in October off 1lb lower and the seven-year-old is likely to be a tough nut to crack, especially with all of his rivals having pulled up when last seen. Castle Daragh may benefit from a first-time visor to pose the main threat, with Up The Straight next best.
Three of the runners were all pulled up last time and the standout contender is A DEFINITE GETAWAY.

![]() Chou Chou |
(9) 40/1(+39%) | (9) Chou Chou 40/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Punchestown most recent; generally out of form in both codes; down in trip; off a short-break; wants it quicker 0-17; tailed off over timber when last seen and out of form on Flat previously. |
NIBRAS RAINBOW won over a mile at Killarney last summer for Paul Flynn and has shaped well on a number of occasions since, including when placed in a 25-runner Curragh handicap. Colin Keane is a significant booking. Naisiun won on her reappearance over 7f at Naas last season and while far from consistent since, could go close off a similar rating, while Royal Pippen has dropped to what appears a competitive mark and is another to consider. Higher Kingdom won four times at Dundalk for John McConnell and it's probably best to put a line through his latest run after getting upset in the stalls.
This doesn't have much depth and NAISIUN could be the one having won on last season's return and she's less exposed than most

![]() Royal Duke |
(7) 9/2(-13%) | (7) Royal Duke 9/2, Beat Kyber Crystal rather fortuitously over C&D off a 46 in October and similar form final start of the season here; returning from a break and chance if straight enough Progressive at a low level last year; still low mileage; market useful after an absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Henery Hawk |
(9) 5/1(+9%) | (9) Henery Hawk 5/1, In good form of late with narrow defeats in a classified race and latterly a handicap (5f) beaten 1 1/4l off a 49 at Newcastle; does seem to have regressed on the whole and mark stiff Back to form on AW the last twice; still seeking a first turf win though; others are safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Mrs Bagerran |
(10) 11/2(+35%) | (10) Mrs Bagerran 11/2, Beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time and generally out of form since couple of good efforts here in September/October; mark has fallen, but needs to prove retains ability Both wins, and most of her best form, has come over C&D; leading contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sergeant Mayer |
(2) 11/2(+8%) | (2) Sergeant Mayer 11/2, In good form towards the end of last season rounding off with a 2l 2nd off 59 over 6f at Newcastle; returning from a break, but generally very reliable and can contend 6f turf win last summer and ended 2024 with three runner-up finishes; absence to overcome. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Fortunate Star |
(1) 13/2(+35%) | (1) Fortunate Star 13/2, Has had a good winer on the all-weather with two wins at Southwell and thereabouts mostly; touch disappointing last two starts and has had a bit of a break; needs to recapture sparkle to figure Won twice at Southwell in November; below par last time but feasibly treated back on turf. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kyber Crystal |
(6) 13/2(+0%) | (6) Kyber Crystal 13/2, Has been unlucky of late and in particular when beaten by Royal Duke here in October, getting no run until it was too late; she is off a short-break, but given a clear run looks very well handicapped on that form Two wins last year, including C&D; returns to action off fair mark; one for the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Jamie Bond |
(5) 13/2(+13%) | (5) Jamie Bond 13/2, Raced freely beaten 3/4l off 57 at Newcastle last time, but was very close to form; somewhat in and out on the all-weather this winter; nicely weighted at best Not beaten far on AW last time; overall profile suggests he's not sure to back it up. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Ski Angel |
(11) 8/1(+20%) | (11) Ski Angel 8/1, Well backed and not far below form when beaten 4l off 48 over C&D when last seen in October; looked a bit better than that previous three starts and fairly weighted for reappearance C&D winner; won on seasonal return last spring; dangerous mark; drying ground not ideal. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Beneficiary |
(3) 12/1(+14%) | (3) Beneficiary 12/1, Game when scored by 1 1/4l off 59 at Newcastle in January; generally below that form since; fair mark if can rediscover best, but that seems unlikely Back to last winning mark and well drawn; had few opportunities on turf; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Carmarthen |
(4) 18/1(+10%) | (4) Carmarthen 18/1, In solid form towards the end of last season and probably needed run down the field in a handicap over 6f at Wolverhampton on reappearance; should strip fitter, but mark is not generous Hard to recommend after last week's reappearance (pulled hard and finished a remote last). |
Narrowly denied over C&D on his most recent start in November, ROYAL DUKE likes it here and this appeals as an ideal opportunity on his return to action. Drying ground is likely to suit and the four-year-old is preferred to Henery Hawk, who has rediscovered some form on the all-weather without getting his head in front. Kyber Crystal and Sergeant Mayer have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.
Mrs Bagerran will take some pegging back but BENEFICIARY is back to a winning mark and could be worth chancing on a rare turf run.

(2) SP(+100%) | (2) Cap Du Mathan SP, Comfortably held in a hunter chase over 2m1f at Stratford last time; returning from long layoff; enjoys making it; up in trip; formerly useful novice chaser; threat Useful handicapper in prime and an easy hunter chase winner last season; back from break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Take All |
(4) SP(+100%) | (4) Take All SP, Fell in a hunter chase over 3m2f at Cheltenham latest when looking big threat; this much easier; drop in trip a plus; can make amends Performed well in good hunter chases either side of his open point win in February. |
A faller three out when still going okay in the hunter chase at Cheltenham last month, TAKE ALL looks the one to beat if building upon what could have been a career-best on that occasion. Runner-up over C&D last month after a string of victories in point-to-points, Walkin Out must enter calculations, as well as Cap Du Mathan, who has not been in action since last May but is a capable sort on his day.
Ex-Irish 10yo TAKE ALL has posted some good efforts for his new stable this year and looks the one to beat.

![]() Eighteen Fourteen |
(12) 33/1(+50%) | (12) Eighteen Fourteen 33/1, Beaten 4l in a nursery over 7f at Newcastle last time where given too much to do; not proven on AW; up in trip; more needed Won a Redcar novice last summer, but twice well held afterwards; watch market on return. |
Tuco Salamanca arrives here on the back of a hat-trick in recent months and he has to be of interest once again. That said, another career best is required and marginal preference is for BEST ADVENTURE. Andrew Balding's gelding showed plenty of ability as a juvenile and the son of Frankel should be capable of making his mark at this level. Others to note are West Tyrone and Everyoneknowsadave.
Preference is for WEST TYRONE (nap) who scored nicely over C&D last month and looks to be on the upgrade.

SWITCH HITTER was a useful performer when in the care of Paul Nicholls and arrives following a hat-trick in the point-to-point sphere. The 10-year-old is clear on official ratings and is expected to continue his fine run of form. Windance has the ability to be competitive and merits respect along with King's Quay, whose sole previous appearance under Rules saw him win over C&D in April 2023.
This can go to SWITCH HITTER who was a very useful chaser in his prime and has been resurgent with three point wins in a row this year.

![]() Can I Kiss You |
(2) 40/1(+20%) | (2) Can I Kiss You 40/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 11f at Dundalk latest; down in trip; hard to recommend and needs this for a mark Two runs at Dundalk, first attempt over 1m better than subsequent run over extended 1m2f. |
WIN ME OVER was prominent throughout on debut at the Curragh on the opening day of the turf season when taking fourth spot behind Bint Queen Kindly in a 20-runner 7f maiden. The sister to top-class miler Palace Pier should progress from that run and appreciate both the longer trip and sounder surface. Nuit was placed on both starts last autumn including behind Galveston at Naas, while Deressa showed her best form on testing ground over C&D last October when a creditable fourth to Pretty Lavish. Bonnie Moon is bred to stay further.
With improvement on the cards from last month's introduction at the Curragh WIN ME OVER is tipped to open her account.

![]() Rainbow Mirage |
(10) 28/1(+30%) | (10) Rainbow Mirage 28/1, Beaten 7l in a classified race at Newcastle last time; out of form; bit to find Losing run up to 20 and little sign lately of her turning things around. |
The return to handicap company is a slight concern for the in-form Urban Dandy and as a result the vote goes to HERETIC. The six-year-old showed more when third over a mile here recently and the first-time application of cheekpieces may bring about some improvement from him. Heerathetrack scored at Chelmsford last month and is another with strong form claims.
The choice is NORTHBOUND who had possible excuses for his two defeats since making a winning reappearance here.

(1) 40/1(+20%) | (1) Broadchurch 40/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 8f at Curragh only start; up in trip; hard to recommend 66-1 down the field in a 27-runner maiden at the Curragh on only start at two. |
EASTWATCH shaped well on debut over a similar trip at Tipperary last autumn and may have found a good opportunity to open his account. The Andy Slattery-trained gelding was third to Emit and the runner-up, Serious Contender, has boosted the form scoring on both outings since, including a Leopardstown handicap off a mark of 85 last weekend. Crooked Path was far from disgraced on debut behind Dupont Law on the opening day of the season at the Curragh and should appreciate this longer distance, while others to consider include newcomer Paul Henry (by Camelot) and Methgal.
Newcomer Paul Henry may not cope with EASTWATCH (nap), whose debut third at Tipperary has been shown in a good light by the 2nd

FISTRAL BEACH racked up a double when winning over 7f at Newcastle most recently, which followed a C&D success, and she tops the shortlist off only 3lb higher. Fifty Sent was just beaten a neck into third off this mark over track and trip last week and is an obvious threat to the selection. The recent Newcastle winner Margot Robbie is another to note.
Preference is for C&D winner FISTRAL BEACH who can overcome a 3lb rise and complete the hat-trick.

SPRING DANCE cost 350,000 euro at Arqana in December and while it's concerning that she only makes her debut at four, the Dubawi filly makes plenty of appeal on pedigree being out of a Listed winning daughter of Shamardal and from a very smart Australian family. It will be interesting to see how strong she is in the market. Royal Hollow and Extrapolation are both decent sorts over jumps, while Victoria Kesia was placed a number of times last year but seems well suited by soft ground. Fianna indicated ability in two starts last year, although it may be significant that Billy Lee elects to ride Moss Tucker's half-brother Diesel Deans.
The tentative vote goes to VICTORIA KESIA who finished 2nd in 3 of her last 4 starts last term and sets a solid standard

Although keen, DOJIN opened her account with something in hand at Southwell last month and there should be more to come. An opening mark of 74 looks workable for the daughter of Iffraaj and she's fancied to follow up. Royale Goodnight will find this easier than the Listed Montrose at Newmarket in November last year and the Daniel & Claire Kubler-trained filly isn't taken lightly on the back of a wind procedure. Spirit Of Jura may fare best of the remainder.
The vote goes to BINTABUHA. Closely related to the AW Listed winner Garden Paradise, this longer trip should suit her well on breeding.

THATWILLDOSO had three starts in maidens early last season and ran a cracker on the latest of two handicap outings in the autumn, when beating all bar Nans View in a 20-runner 1m2f Curragh event. The winner is now rated considerably higher having followed up at Galway and Jack Kearney claims a valuable 5lb. Magic Charm has won twice over a mile and showed promise on a number of occasions last season, including over 1m1f at Tipperary, while Dazzling Spirit has dropped to a lowly mark and has now joined Cian Collins. The lightly-raced Venting and Tatum are others to consider.
This could be a good opportunity for THATWILLDOSO who was coming to the boil at the end of last term and his latest 2nd is working out

The hat-trick seeking Oriental Prince warrants respect after scoring over C&D and more recently at Newcastle. However, a 5lb penalty does demands another career-best performance from Jim Goldie's charge and preference is for EM JAY KAY. The six-year-old arrives on the back of a close-up third at Wolverhampton and he makes plenty of appeal racing off an unchanged mark. Fellow in-form rivals Safari Dream and Broken Spear are others of interest.
C&D winner ORIENTAL PRINCE can extend his hot run of form since the hood went on, with the return to this track no problem at all.

![]() Falcon Eight |
(4) 9/1(+36%) | (4) Falcon Eight 9/1, Down the field in a handicap hurdle over 2m7f at Naas most recent where ground too testing; trainer in form; down in trip; formerly very useful; feasible threat Smart stayer at his peak, fair form towards the end of last season, second-string here. |
A hot conditions race with all bar one of the nine runners holding a rating of 95 or higher. ROMZINA has a bit to find on figures but should have scope for further improvement having won a Cork maiden on debut and been placed on both subsequent starts at Listed level. She could be suited by this trip having kept on well into third behind Caught U Looking over 1m4f at Naas. Salt Bay has struggled to justify his rating since being narrowly denied over this trip at York last June, while War Rooms, third in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York last year, is a nice addition to Gerry Keane's yard. Persian Bliss has progressed well and won three times over the winter at Dundalk.
Dermot Weld had a fine double at Leopardstown on Sunday and can keep up the good work with lightly raced filly ROMZINA

The market should prove informative in a contest full of newcomers, with a tentative vote going to MUSEUM PIECE. The daughter of Showcasing is a sister to useful 5f winner Ganesha, and she could take some stopping if sharing the same ability. Shetakesthegold represents the Richard Hannon team, who have their string in fine fettle at present, and she warrants consideration, along with Social Exclusion and Diamond Alexander.
£100,000 yearling DIAMOND ALEXANDER is bred to be a talented sprinting two-year-old and she earns the vote.

![]() Market House |
(2) 5/6(+39%) | (2) Market House 5/6, Well backed when scored by a length off 63 over 12f at Newcastle penultimate start; second beaten 3/4l off 65 last time where met trouble but held every chance; could make amends Has done well since joining this yard and he's a leading contender now back down in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Sant Alessio |
(4) 2/1(-7%) | (4) Sant Alessio 2/1, Ran to form beaten a neck off 64 over 12f at Wolverhampton last time where had run of race; down in trip; contender 0-8 but beaten just a neck at Wolverhampton last month; can be thereabouts once more. |

![]() Rampant |
(5) 15/2(-25%) | (5) Rampant 15/2, Slowly away beaten 1 1/4l off 48 over 10f at Newcastle last time; up in trip; arrives in form; can make presence felt 0-17 but consistent for this stable and close third at Newcastle last Tuesday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Bunker Bay |
(3) 11/1(+21%) | (3) Bunker Bay 11/1, Below par beaten 3l off 67 here last time; that big effort on first flat run for nearly 2 years; blinkers first time; may contend Poor strike-rate but respectable fourth over C&D recently and might not be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Forca Timao |
(1) 11/1(+45%) | (1) Forca Timao 11/1, Ran to form beaten 3 1/4l off 70 over 10f at Chelmsford last time; not proven on AW; up in trip; off a short-break; form going the wrong way Chelmsford fifth was a step back in the right direction but he needs another today. |
Sant Alessio may have benefitted from setting a steady pace when beaten a neck into second at Wolverhampton last month, but that was still a respectable effort and he has to be considered. However, MARKET HOUSE looks the way to go. The five-year-old produced another good performance when hitting the woodwork over an extended 2m at Newcastle last time. This drop back in trip looks a good move and he can make it three wins out of six starts for the James Owen yard. Bunker Bay looks best of the rest.
James Owen has done an excellent job with MARKET HOUSE who can make it 3-5 for the yard. Sant Alessio is second choice.

![]() Yakhabar |
(6) 10/1(+9%) | (6) Yakhabar 10/1, Ran to form 3 1/2l third in a classified race over 10f at Newcastle most recent run; not proven trip; significant jockey booking; chance if stamina holds up but that is a worry Both wins at Newcastle early last year, but still to prove he truly wants this far. |

(3) 11/1(+56%) | (3) Unification 11/1, Made too much use of down the field in a handicap at Newcastle most recent; generally out of form; not proven trip; not proven on AW; top jockey booked; revival needed Out of the frame in 11 starts for three different trainers. |

![]() Typewritten |
(7) 14/1(+44%) | (7) Typewritten 14/1, Beaten 9l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; generally out of form; goes well here; looks in need of a break Just beaten over 2m at Newcastle in January, but has regressed since; others preferred. |

![]() Anificas Beauty |
(8) 28/1(+30%) | (8) Anificas Beauty 28/1, Made too much use of well beaten in a handicap over 6f at Newcastle latest; generally out of form; not proven on AW; up in trip; bit to find This is her first start beyond 7f and quite what she will make of it remains to be seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() Kitten's Dream |
(9) 50/1(0%) | (9) Kitten's Dream 50/1, Slowly away down the field in a handicap here most recent; generally out of form; goes well here; not the force of old; bit to find C&D winner, but losing run up to 39 and a long time since he showed any worthwhile form. |
BALGOWAN accounted for Fiftyshadesaresdev (third) when filling the runner-up spot over track and trip last month and that might be the key piece of form to focus on. Seamus Mullins' six-year-old goes off an unchanged rating and could gain his first career success. Fiftyshadesaresdev hasn't finished out of the top three since undergoing a wind operation and looks the main threat again, while Yakhabar is another to watch out for.
It may be worth siding with LEON TROTSKY who wasn't suited by the slow tempo here last time, but who had won well the time before.
Ths is the racecard key.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
