(14) Unmistakeable
2James SullivanTim EasterbySecond in a 5f Musselburgh nursery last month but not in the same form when well behind Jeany May back there 12 days ago; bounce back needed.
(2) Horus
2Darragh KeenanMike Murphy & Michael KeadyChased home the reopposing Harswell Dandy in a 5f Musselburgh maiden in July; faded to finish well held on 7f Newbury nursery debut four weeks ago; sold out of Craig Lidster's yard for 3,500gns this month; new stable quick to drop him back in trip.
(6) Chasing Gold
2Alistair RawlinsonRobert CowellPulled too hard when a well-held fifth on 5f Brighton nursery debut in a first-time tongue-tie 24 days ago; needs to settle better with cheekpieces added to the tongue-tie this time.
(13) Dawn Awakening
2Joey HaynesIvan FurtadoThird over 5f at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton since switching to nurseries with a tongue-tie added; should be competitive but needs a bit more for the win.
3rd (10) Jeany May
2Alex JaryNigel TinklerNo match for a big improver on 5f Musselburgh nursery debut 12 days ago but she in turn was clear of the rest in second; should be competitive from an unchanged mark now switching to AW.
(1) Power Of Twins
2Joe LeavyRichard HannonWould have won a 5.7f Bath maiden last month had her rider not eased her prematurely (received a 28-day ban); too free for her own good when only sixth on 7f nursery debut nine days later; connections have had a big rethink over the trip but she remains one who should be up to making an impact off a mark in the 60s.
(7) Ellomate
2George RookeRichard HughesBest RPRs on AW, placing in 6f nurseries at Kempton and this venue, showing pace each time; prominent for a long way back on turf at Bath (5f) latest and treated as if still in form ahead of this return to AW; in the mix.
(8) Early Release
2Callum ShepherdGeorge ScottWell held on all three starts, although did go off favourite for the second at Lingfield and soft ground may not have suited back from a break at Sandown 13 days ago; hooded for nursery debut; all the more interesting if backed.
(3) Sea Of Diamonds
2Laura CoughlanArchie WatsonRaced at 6f, winning on Redcar debut in May; no progress since but was bang there until inside the final furlong in a course nursery last time and perhaps the drop to 5f will help; wears first-time cheekpieces.
(4) Coiled
2Georgia DobieEve Johnson Houghton0-7 but largely consistent and finished a respectable third of six on 5f Chepstow nursery debut 31 days ago; eased 2lb with a first-time hood added now; placed over C&D on debut.
4th (5) Harswell Dandy
2Kaiya FraserRoger Fell & Sean MurrayOnly 2lb higher than when landing 5f Wolverhampton nursery three weeks ago but that small-field race did rather fall into her lap after the leaders went too fast; things aren't sure to work out as favourably this time.
1st (11) Montana Girl
2Tom EavesKevin RyanComfortably the best of her three runs when fifth at Beverley (5f) on her second start; decent pedigree and rates a possible improver in nurseries.
2nd (9) Facoulty
2Benoit De La SayetteKevin Philippart De FoyUnable to justify favouritism on Brighton nursery debut over an extended 5f at the beginning of this month but by no means disgraced in third and her market strength suggests she's thought capable of better; tended to lug to her left under pressure on that occasion and this more conventional track may suit better; enters the reckoning.
(12) Miakoda
2Alec VoikhanskyRichard HannonUnable to justify favouritism in both nurseries, although it may have been different had he not compromised his chance at the start (reared and slowly away) at Wolverhampton (5f) on Saturday, running on for second; obvious chance off the same mark if he can break on terms this time.

If he can get away from the stalls okay this time Saturday's Wolverhampton runner-up MIAKODA may prove the answer to a tricky opener. Facoulty, Ellomate and the selection's stablemate Power Of Twins are others to consider. Early Release and Montana Girl could improve in nurseries and are worth keeping an eye on in the betting. 8th (6) Tango Sunset
3Joe LeavyRoger TealHas advanced her RPRs when fifth over 1m4f at Kempton on her last two starts; while her opening handicap mark isn't obviously generous her unexposed profile provides the hope for better.
9th (1) Fox Flame
4Joe FanningCharlie JohnstonTwo of her five AW wins have been here but not at her best lately, including when only a remote fifth over C&D four weeks ago.
5th (9) Nancy P
3Robert HavlinS WoodsWon a 1m4f Lingfield (AW) handicap in June but hasn't built on that in her three outings since; others are more obvious.
7th (10) Altanera
3Silvestre De SousaDavid SimcockBig prices and well beaten all three starts (last two here) but a good pedigree provides the hope for improvement in handicaps; needs checking out in the betting.
(5) Polar Princess
4Connor PlanasPhilip Kirby1-19 but the win did come on Newcastle's Tapeta and she's finished in the first three on all four visits here, albeit it was third of four last time (1m3f); should give her running but vulnerable to progressive 3yos.
3rd (2) Switchel
4Rob HornbyHughie MorrisonThe form of her half-length second to the progressive Quietness (Dance Time third) at Haydock in July reads well but she hasn't managed to reproduce it in two subsequent starts; 0-3 on AW and others arrive with more pressing claims.
2nd (3) Dance Time
4Brandon WilkieDavid LoughnaneHas been running respectably on turf this summer and won this race off the same mark 12 months ago; likely to be in the mix with Brandon Wilkie taking 5lb off.
1st (4) Kinetic
3Laura PearsonJames OwenAnother who has thrived for James Owen, completing a hat-trick over about 1m4f (including Tapeta) in August; stamina possibly stretched over 1m6f when her winning run came to a halt at Chelmsford last Thursday; respected back at 1m4f.
4th (7) Miss Monte Carlo
3Paul MulrennanEd WalkerMade a sound start to her handicap career when second at Leicester (1m4f) in July but was only a respectable fifth when favourite at Yarmouth (1m2f) since; thereabouts if back to the Leicester form.
6th (8) Molten Sea
3Cieren FallonWilliam HaggasImproved performance back from a 12-week break when justifying favouritism on her 1m4f Musselburgh handicap debut 12 days ago, rallying to collar a subsequent winner close home with the pair 4.5l clear of the third; a 3lb rise doesn't look nearly enough to stop a well-bred filly who could have plenty to more to come.

It's very hard to ignore the claims of MOLTEN SEA, who stayed on strongly to collar a subsequent winner (pair clear) on her Musselburgh handicap debut and she looks to have got off lightly with a 3lb rise, particularly as there could be plenty more to come from this daughter of a Listed winner. Kinetic, who has had a very good spell since joining James Owen, and last year's winner Dance Time may give the selection most to do. [Andrew Sheret]

(3) Pottersmattyeeehaa
3Paul MulrennanMatt Crawley80-1 and in rear throughout on 1m Chelmsford debut six weeks ago; a 3f longer trip needs to spark major improvement.
(10) Urban Hydrangea
3Darragh KeenanJohn GallagherBoth starts over 1m4f at Kempton, losing all chance at the start on debut but showing a bit when sixth of eight (beaten just under 8l) two weeks later; Tango Sunset who was a place ahead of her in fifth last time is due to run in the 5.00 here.
(9) Elvington
3David AllanLiam BaileyLast of five on Ripon debut and beaten just under 9l when third of four at Newcastle (1m2f) since; needs plenty of improvement.
(7) Arc Zoosve
3Joey HaynesIvan FurtadoFinished 9.5l behind Prophet's Path on Wolverhampton debut and last of seven on turf at Beverley since; likely to find at least a couple too strong.
3rd (1) Fiery Dawn
5Joanna MasonMichael & David EasterbyWent close in a heavy-ground bumper in March but beaten 13l into seventh when switched to the Flat over C&D in July.
(8) Rose Coloured Girl
3George DowningEve Johnson Houghton24,000euros daughter of Waldgeist; first foal of a German 7f Listed winner (RPR 95); this debut is rather belated but it'll still be interesting to see how she goes in the betting in a race lacking depth.
4th (6) Ventorro
3Callum ShepherdDavid MenuisierSlowly away and always behind on his 1m2f Sandown debut in June but it was quite a useful race and he went off at only 12-1; subsequently gelded; certainly no surprise were he to prove a different proposition at the second time of asking, particularly if the betting vibes are positive.
2nd (4) Prophet's Path
3Jim CrowleyOwen BurrowsRunner-up on AW on last three starts; was odds-on at Wolverhampton (9.4f) last time but still ran to form on RPRs and the return to a longer trip is in his favour if anything; looks sure to be bang there again.
1st (2) Lennox
3Hayley TurnerHarry EustaceFair form, finishing runner-up in fast-ground events at Yarmouth (1m) and Windsor (1m2f) in the spring; looked to be going okay when hampered and unseated rider 4f out in 1m2f Doncaster handicap on recent return from a break, albeit it was too far out to predict what would have happened; third on Tapeta last year; leading claims.

There's a good chance this will develop into a straight fight between LENNOX and Prophet's Path, with a narrow preference for the former who chased home quite useful sorts in maiden and novice events in the spring. If there is to be a threat from elsewhere it'll likely come from either Ventorro or the Eve Johnson Houghton newcomer Rose Coloured Girl. [Andrew Sheret]

4Callum ShepherdAlex HalesRegressive five-race maiden for the Johnston yard; sold for 10,500gns in July 2023; best watched on return from 15-month absence, unless the market suggests otherwise.
(5) Sisterandbrother
6Cam HardieKevin Frost0-3 on AW and has no recent attempts in this sphere, having been campaigned solely on turf this term; his June double included a success off this mark but he's not guaranteed to repeat the form.
2nd (2) Genesius
7Morgan ColeSir Mark Prescott BtBelow par last time but has proved largely consistent and may well rebound; attractively handicapped, having gained all wins off higher marks; has a poor strike-rate over the last three years, however.
(6) Scottish Reel
3Joe FanningCharlie JohnstonThrice-raced colt whose siblings include multiple Group 1 winner Laurens; has nowhere near her ability but has shown some promise and looks open to improvement now handicapping; interesting contender.
3rd (7) Fram Castle
3J F EganOllie Sangster3yo maiden who has performed encouragingly over 1m2f at Newbury (finished third) and Newmarket (runner-up) for James Horton since wearing blinkers; has rejoined Ollie Sangster; possibilities off the same mark in the retained headgear.
4th (4) Sugarloaf Lenny
3Brandon WilkieWilliam KnightBids for a hat-trick, having recorded neck and nose wins under Brandon Wilkie at Yarmouth (1m2f) and Lingfield (1m4f, AW) the last twice; better than ever and, following another small rise in the weights, should remain competitive.
1st (1) Fearless Bay
5Daniel TudhopeEd DunlopMissed 2023; retains plenty of ability and won at Kempton (1m4f) on penultimate start; latest effort suggests he remains in form; defied a 2lb higher mark on sole Southwell run and can't be ruled out.

Bottom-weight FRAM CASTLE has shown clear promise since wearing blinkers and could well build on those placed efforts to record a first win. Hat-trick seeker Sugarloaf Lenny (second choice) warrants respect, while interesting handicap debutant Scottish Reel completes a robust hand for the 3yos. A couple of the older runners remain well treated on peak form.[Steve Boow]

(9) Vanikoro
3Cam HardieKevin FrostNeeds to step up markedly on her Redcar effort (6f) and is a similar type to Baroque Pearl.
(8) Baroque Pearl
3Dylan HoganMartin DunneFinished last of five in weak novice contest at Lingfield (1m, AW) 12 days ago and needs to improve a good deal on that debut form.
(6) Vibrato
3Kieran O'NeillJennie CandlishMade the frame in both starts for the Gosden yard, close second over C&D in March latest; sold for 19,000gns in July; heed the market signals on return from layoff.
1st (3) Baraq
3Paul MulrennanSir Mark Prescott BtRaced exclusively on AW; placed in four of his six starts, close second at Newcastle (1m) latest; holds a solid chance but some of these rivals have greater room for progress.
(4) Ombrecell
3Jim CrowleyClive Cox220,000euros yearling; promising fourth, beaten only 2l having finished nicely, in 1m AW contest at Kempton seven weeks ago; interesting with improvement on the cards.
2nd (5) Sword
3Robert HavlinJohn & Thady GosdenPresents a quandary as he sets a clear standard on penultimate effort but is quirky and proved a very disappointing favourite last time (gelded since); not one to take a short price about.
3rd (1) Lattaash
3Sam FeildenK R BurkeWon at this course (7f) on debut and good third under a penalty at Newcastle (1m) since; Sam Feilden takes off a handy 7lb this time; may do better still and warrants respect.

Armed with a 7lb pull if Sam Feilden's claim is taken into account, LATTAASH could well reverse Newcastle placings with Baraq and add to his course win. Likely danger Ombrecell (second choice) ran promisingly at Kempton where he finished in front of quirky Sword, who comes with risk but has a good chance granted a rebound.[Steve Boow]

12th (6) Big Narstie
6Alistair RawlinsonMichael ApplebyThree AW wins during a consistent spell early this year; ran poorly here this month on return from layoff but may fare better with that outing under his belt.
10th (4) Outrace
4Tyrese CameronRichard HannonHad a consistent spell on AW towards the end of his 2023 campaign but less reliable since and still has a modest strike-rate; far from certain to take advantage of reduced mark.
9th (5) Embarked
6Mikkel MortensenScott DixonTwo wins on AW for James Fanshawe; has quickly found a consistent level of form since joining new stable, respectable third over C&D most recently; possibilities with Mikkel Mortensen taking off 5lb.
7th (9) King Sharja
4James SullivanRuth CarrRecorded back-to-back wins at Beverley (7.5f) this summer; form has dipped in two starts since, latest back on AW; still has something to prove in this sphere.

6th (2) Covert Legend
4Brandon WilkieTjade CollierBest form this season at Wolverhampton, namely success in April and close second this month, both over 8.5f; may remain competitive provided he takes to new headgear and new track (first run here).
8th (3) King Of York
5Kieran O'NeillScott DixonSuccessful at this course in February/March during a consistent spell; not in the same form since April and cannot be supported with confidence at present.
3rd (10) Havana Smoke
3Rhys ClutterbuckDylan Cunha3yo maiden who spoiled his chance by hanging left last time; close second in July/August, including over C&D, and that form puts him in the picture; first win is not out of the question.

Being a progressive sort on AW and a C&D scorer most recently, HAVE YOU A MINUTE (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Embarked, who has a solid chance on recent efforts, is second choice ahead of Havana Smoke who has possibilities on the pick of his summer form.[Steve Boow]

(1) Always Fearless
7Tyrese CameronRichard HannonFive AW wins but he was winning for only the second time on turf when returning to form at Windsor (1m) in July; had an irregular heartbeat when tailed off in August, so hard to recommend this time.
(3) Global Resolve
4Silvestre De SousaP Charalambous & J ClutterbuckDebut promise over 1m2f on Lingfield AW but he hasn't done as well since and dropped right out on handicap debut at Beverley (1m2f) last week; visor fitted back at 1m on Tapeta debut; not an obvious one this time.
(6) My Honey B
4Joanna MasonMichael & David EasterbySaid to have never travelled on her latest outing but she'd earlier finished a close second at Chester (extended 7f); interesting back on this course, having won her only start here (from a total of three AW runs) over C&D as a 2yo; not ruled out.
(10) The Ferret
3Joe LeavyRichard HannonOff the mark in 1m novice on Lingfield AW in December but he's found it harder in handicaps this year and his recent runs back at Lingfield leave him with work to do on his Tapeta debut.
(7) Thanks Dad
4Joey HaynesScott DixonMaiden who's been in the frame in four of six AW starts but all four were at 7f and, although he comes here in good form, his previous attempts at 1m don't suggest he's crying out for a return to this trip.
4th (2) Mercurius Power
6Ben SandersonJessica MaceyMuch lower in the weights than in two previous C&D runs when he made it pay in August, settling the outcome quite readily; down the field in the Legends race at Doncaster since but perhaps he'll have more to give back here.
2nd (11) Triple Force
3Shane GrayCraig LidsterMaiden who's been running well for new yard, especially when taking a late third of 14 at Newcastle (1m, AW) this month; hampered and never involved there latest; hood worn last twice is now discarded; still high in weights.
1st (5) Unassuming
4Callum ShepherdGeorge BougheyEx-Joseph O'Brien; looked promising when never-nearer fifth of 17 in 1m2f Curragh maiden (good) on sole 3yo start; testing surfaces were no good to her in the spring and sold for 9,500gns in July; classy pedigree and out of AW winner; very interesting on handicap debut; market check needed.
(8) Persian Phoenix
3Joe FanningCharlie JohnstonSole win in 7f novice on Wolverhampton Tapeta last summer but she's run many good races in defeat at 1m-1m2f this year; it's hard to call her well handicapped but just possible she'll find more on her course debut.
3rd (9) Cuban Fiesta
3Dylan HoganMichael WighamLightly raced maiden whose best effort for Ed Dunlop came over C&D in March; sold for 6,000gns before putting up a stout show behind an in-form rival at Newcastle (1m, AW) last week; more convincing than most.

The main interest centres round whether UNASSUMING can make an immediate go of it in handicaps for her new yard, having run with conspicuous promise on good ground on her 3yo debut but having proved ineffective on testing surfaces in the spring. Out of a 1m winner on Polytrack, she could have got in lightly here. Cuban Fiesta can be next best, ahead of Mercurius Power.[Emily Weber]

(12) The Grey Lass
5Joanna MasonMichael & David EasterbyDown the field over C&D last time but she reared at the start and was denied a clear run; however, she was in good form previously (won over C&D three starts ago) and could bounce back and pose a threat.
(13) Enchanted Night
6Silvestre De SousaChristine DunnettJust one win (in July 2023) from her 51 starts, and she's inconsistent; however, she twice finished placed over C&D last month and is not discounted each-way.
(11) Murbih
5Cam HardieAntony BrittainRemains winless since March 2023 and he's had a regressive campaign; however, this C&D winner has dropped to a dangerous mark and the return to AW is a plus after tackling turf on his last two runs in May/June; not ruled out.
(6) Inspired Knowhow
4Faleh BughenaimHilal KobeissiWon at Windsor (5f) in May and runs off the same mark today; however, he hasn't been at the same level more recently and hopes are pinned on the first-time blinkers giving him a boost.

3rd (7) Crypto Quest
5Kieran O'NeillScott DixonTwice went close in the spring and he returned to form with a good second to Dandy Fitz over C&D four weeks ago on his second outing for this yard; on the same mark today and could be in the mix.
(9) The Defiant
8Jack DaceLuke DaceBeaten 15 times since his last win in March but he's often run well in the meantime, going close under Jack Dace at Chelmsford (5f, Polytrack) last Thursday; there's a slight doubt about whether he's fully effective on Tapeta but he won at Wolverhampton earlier in his career; capable of bold show.
(4) Golden Rainbow
5Kaiya FraserRebecca MenziesWon three times in the first half of the summer and returned to form to score at Newcastle (5f, Tapeta) a fortnight ago; just 3lb higher today and could play another leading role for his in-form yard.
2nd (10) Dandy Fitz
3David AllanTim EasterbyMade all over C&D last month and has gone close the next twice over C&D and at Newcastle; could again prove difficult to catch.

Several to consider in a warm race for the grade. DANDY FITZ has been in fine form and is taken to add to last month's C&D win. Golden Rainbow scored at Newcastle a fortnight ago and is feared most ahead of Newyorkstateofmind and Jungle Run.[Ben Hutton]
