(1) Heir Island
3Wayne LordanT J O'MaraSent off at 33-1 and finished last of eight after missing the break at Down Royal on debut three weeks ago; should be more streetwise now but can only be watched after that initial effort.
(8) Short Change
5Jack ClearyThomas DowlingBest run in maidens came on debut here over 7f in February; beaten just over 7l in both his handicaps; tongue tie goes on; might outrun his likely odds but hard to make a solid case for him winning.
(6) Chief Of State
3J M SheridanJ F LevinsBlew the start and finished last on debut over 5f here last December; not seen since and is best watched on his first run back after a gelding operation; cheekpieces go on.
(10) Veracidad
3Rory MulliganAnthony McCannShowed a bit of potential as a 2yo but has lost her way this season for Anthony McCann; failed to beat a rival home when beaten 29l and 11.5l on her last two starts; hopes pinned on the returning visor sparking a revival; can only watch.
(9) Rhythm And Moves
3Killian LeonardNoel C KellyWell-beaten in three starts, two of them coming over hurdles; makes AW debut and is difficult to fancy; tongue tie is applied.
(3) Adam's Boy
4Keithen KennedyMichael J BrowneBig improvement on latest in first-time blinkers (retained) when beaten just 2l into fifth of 17 at Cork (7f, good to firm); that was a handicap off 47 and he is not well-treated by the conditions of this race on AW debut; outside place claims but others preferred.
(4) My Girl Sioux
4Andrew SlatteryAndrew SlatteryLong-standing maiden was well-beaten in a 6f handicap at Laytown last time out; has run well here over 5f and 6f on a number of occasions and she can't be completely discounted, albeit she would be getting a lot more weight from Ateensoix in a handicap.
(7) Hezahunk
5Adam CaffreyAdrian McGuinnessIs 0-25; a nose defeat in a C&D claimer back in March is the closest he has come to shedding his maiden tag; poor effort on latest at Laytown but return to this venue is a plus and while he is only rated 47, if he repeated the form of his last two C&D runs he could go close.
(5) Ace In The Pack
3Chris HayesKevin PrendergastBest effort came in a maiden at Bellewstown (5f, good) when third but was still beaten 7.5l; no impact in first two handicaps and official rating of 58 may flatter him; tongue tie goes on; chance at the weights but his last two runs are off-putting.
(2) Ateenosix
3Ronan WhelanM Halford & T CollinsSets the standard on form and is the highest rated with a mark of 67; beaten 4.5l into fourth on sole try at 6f here back in April; finished 5l behind the winner when third in a 7f maiden here last month; drops back in trip and has leading claims with Ronan Whelan back on board.

This won't take much winning. The top rated ATEENOSIX (nap) is well treated by the conditions of the race and this looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark. Hezahunk and My Girl Sioux have both run well over C&D before and could give the selection most to think about. [Dave Stephens]

(4) Manhattan Dreamer
3Robert WheartyAdrian MurrayWon a 7f maiden here in January on third start but was poor in Listed company when last seen; has a long absence to overcome but has a shout if at his best.

(2) Revenite
4Wayne HassettP F McEneryTwo wins in UK but regressive in last year; put up a decent stable debut at Laytown over this trip after a 170-day absence so considered with improvement likely.
(3) James Henry
5Scott McCullaghLeanne BreenDual AW winner, including over C&D; put in a fine 5f run at the Curragh when 3rd on comeback but was too keen at 7f here last week; has a chance if settling better today.
(10) Eruption
5James RyanMatthew J SmithTwo turf wins this year, at Sligo and Bellewstown; competes off a lower AW mark but that is for a reason as his form here is not as good.
(1) Collective Power
6Sorcha WoodsEdward LynamFour of his seven wins have been here; this rider was aboard for his last score (C&D) back in February; several fine turf runs lately, notably when beaten in a blanket finish at Navan last week; a major player back here.
(11) I'm Spartacus
3Adam CaffreyAdrian McGuinnessDual AW winner last year in UK; ran a cracker at Fairyhouse four days ago over this trip and can be a player if repeating that.

Just denied in a blanket finish at Navan last week, COLLECTIVE POWER is off the same mark today and can claim his fifth course win. James Henry was too keen over 7f here a week ago and should settle better back at this trip so is a big danger. Revenite can improve from his recent stable debut at Laytown, while I'm Spartacus is a player if repeating his Fairyhouse second of four days ago. [Tyrone Molloy]

(7) Miss Ariana
2Chris HayesWilliam DurkanBeat a couple of these in a Leopardstown barrier trial; 40-1 for debut at Cork where it looked like the 8f trip stretched her; drop back to 7f a positive and she could outrun her likely odds on her AW debut if handling the track.
(9) Sarahmae
2J M SheridanDenis Gerard HoganFinished seventh of 13 at 125-1 on her debut at Galway (7f, yielding), 11.5l behind the winner Bubbling; that wasn't a bad effort but she'll probably need more to be competitive in this; others preferred.

(11) Temps Leve
2Declan McDonoghJoseph Patrick O'BrienSecond of two runners for yard; was sent off at 12-1 for her debut at Down Royal (7f, good) and finished tenth of 14; is a fair bit of stamina in her pedigree and she may be seen to better effect when stepping up in trip.
(6) I Can Imagine
2Dylan Browne McMonagleJoseph Patrick O'BrienOne of two runners for top yard and looks the first-string on jockey bookings; was 11-1 when finishing in the middle of the pack on debut at Navan earlier this month; inexpensive purchase is in good hands but may need more time.
(5) Hollys Graces
2W J LeeHenry De BromheadCost 42,000 euros as a yearling; eighth foal; sister to 1m4f winner Call Me Sweetheart (RPR 79), closely related to four winners inc Love Potion (1m AW 2yo; 94); dam 1m2f winner (92), out of sister to champion 2yo Xaar; split two of these rivals when a tenderly handled fourth in a 7f turf barrier trial; has ability and is an interesting debutante.
(3) Dramatic
2Jack ClearyA P O'BrienFirst of two runners for yard; $1,500,000 foal; eleventh foal; half-sister to six winners inc Honor Code (US 1m/1m1f Grade 1; RPR 126), Noble Tune (US 8.5f turf Grade 2; 114) and Declaration Of Peace (5f 2yo inc AW/US Listed; 108); dam US 5.5f turf stakes winner; regally-bred daughter of Medaglia d'Oro from top yard and has to be considered under good 7lb claimer; blinkered.
(12) Varner
2Robert WheartyAdrian MurraySecond runner for yard; officially rated 80 and has been highly tried; best effort when sixth of 9, beaten 7l, in a Curragh Group 2 (6f, good) in June; disappointing in a 6.5f Leopardstown maiden subsequently and well beaten in a Group 3 on latest in July; tries a new trip on AW debut; sets the standard on form but hard to be overly confident.
(4) Head To Head
2Wayne LordanA P O'BrienWootton Bassett filly; second of two for yard; half-sister to Canadian 7f turf winner War Strategy; dam 7f 2yo Group 3 winner (RPR 106), sister to Group 1 winners Gleneagles (7f/1m), Marvellous (1m), Happily (7f/1m) and Joan Of Arc (10.5f), out of 6f 2yo Group 2 winner; top pedigree, leading yard and entered in the Gr 1 Filllies' Mile; shortlisted.
(10) Say Yes To Dreams
2Gavin RyanDonnacha Aidan O'BrienAll three runs so far at Naas; second over 5f on debut in June and then beaten 5l in a Listed heat (5f, yielding) a month later; runner-up in a 6f maiden there on latest; her sister has won over 7f so the step up in trip could suit; obvious chance if acting on this track on AW debut.

The standard setters on form are Say Yes To Dreams and Varner who both bring stakes experience into the race. The Ballydoyle debutantes Dramatic and Fillies' Mile entrant Head To Head are exquisitely bred and it would be no surprise if either of them took this. However, there was a lot to like about how HOLLYS GRACES travelled through her barrier trial, she is related to a Dundalk debut winner and she is a speculative selection on her racecourse bow. Miss Ariana is another one that could run well at a price dropped back to 7f after seemingly not getting home over 1m at Cork. [Dave Stephens]

(4) Ameerat Jumaira
4Ronan WhelanM Halford & T CollinsTook the scalp of Star Harbour over C&D last month off 79; followed that with a 1m4f turf win at the Curragh off 81; beaten 9l off revised mark at Leopardstown latest; much worse off at weights with Star Harbour now and has a bit to find to be competitive in this company.
(5) Chantilly
3Jack ClearyA P O'BrienOne of two runners for yard; 1-10 on the Flat; potential as a 2yo and duly off the mark on seasonal return at Leopardstown in May on heavy ground off 85 (1m2f); good run in hot Newbury handicap on next run but last couple of efforts not as good; stable probably has a better chance with Platoon.
(8) Thalara
4Declan McDonoghHenry De BromheadOff for nearly two years after promising debut over 7f at the Curragh; 5-1 for return for new yard at Gowran (9.5f, good) in June and duly obliged despite her jockey reporting that she rolled right under pressure; off 103 days since but she clearly goes well fresh; not dismissed but she'll need to improve to win this on her AW debut.
(10) Madam Celeste
3Gary CarrollG M LyonsSecond runner for stable; beaten a neck in a 10.5f Naas Group 3 after winning her maiden here over 1m; didn't enjoy the clearest of runs when behind Bellezza in a 10.5f Listed heat at Naas in June; out of her depth in the Irish Oaks last time but this a lot more suitable and she's proven on this surface; interesting.
(2) Take Heart
4Shane B KellyJ P MurtaghWon over 10f at Goodwood on his penultimate start off 95; far too keen early on latest outing when beaten 5l off his revised mark of 99 at the Curragh; won his maiden here (1m) last year so acts on the surface and he is not out of this if he settles better.
(9) Bellezza
3Chris HayesG M LyonsOne of two runners for yard; consistent form in Listed company at 10.5f to 13f this season before being outclassed in a Group 2 at the Curragh on latest start; she should be a lot more comfortable in this company and she looks capable of picking up more black type if taking to the surface on her AW bow.
(7) Platoon
3Wayne LordanA P O'BrienSecond runner for yard; Galileo colt made a winning debut over 1m at Leopardstown last month; now makes his AW debut but his dam won twice at this track so he should act on the surface; moves up in trip for his first try in stakes company and can't be discounted for leading yard; looks the first-string on jockey bookings.
(1) Star Harbour
6Adam CaffreyAdrian McGuinnessIn excellent form; has won three of his last five starts, including the Ragusa premier handicap at the Curragh off 96; narrowly denied by Ameerat Jumaira over C&D last month but much better off at weights with that rival now; 0-12 on the AW but can't be discounted in current mood.
(3) Bright Stripes
3W J LeeA OliverTop rated in here at 107; running well in higher grades on his last few starts; his last try in Listed company resulted in victory at the Curragh (1m, soft); was only beaten 3.5l in a Group 2 on latest and he has to hold big claims here if handling the surface on AW debut.

A case can be made for a few of these. Platoon steps up in grade after his maiden win and his dam won twice here so he makes the shortlist, as do the in-form Star Harbour and Bright Stripes. Course maiden winner Take Heart has a chance if settling better than he did at the Curragh last time and Bellezza is another with claims down in grade. However, it might be worth taking a chance on her stablemate, course winner MADAM CELESTE. She was outclassed in the Irish Oaks but she was a shade unlucky when behind Bellezza at Naas on her penultimate start and she could turn that form around on this surface. [Dave Stephens]

(8) Enough Already
8Adam CaffreyAdrian McGuinnessThree-time AW winner for Lee Carter at Lingfield when trained in England; those wins came at 1m and 1m2f off marks of 75, 74 and 75; yet to hit form for current yard but is down to 70 and has his first run on the AW for Ado McGuinness; well-handicapped, shaped ok over an inadequate trip on latest and could go well.

(4) Natural Ruler
3Shane B KellyJ P MurtaghHas placed form at this track; won a 1m4f handicap off 75 at Fairyhouse when last sighted in June; off since and has had a gelding operation; got a 6lb hike for that last win and this drop back to 10.5f not certain to suit on the evidence of his last couple of runs.
(2) Gibbs Island
3Wayne HassettA OliverOne of two runners for yard; hasn't been far away in four of his last six starts; was just 0.75l behind a next time out winner on latest when fifth of 16 at Navan off 82 (1m, good); has placed form at this trip; makes his AW debut with a talented 5lb claimer in the plate and he isn't discounted.
(5) Ozark Daze
3W J LeeA OliverFirst-time tongue tie (retained) seemed to have a positive effect over C&D on latest; finished 1.5l behind Psalm in third and was giving 7lb to that rival; gets 4lb from him here and that could be enough for him to turn that form around; leading claims.
(1) Psalm
3Wayne LordanA P O'BrienOff the mark at the eighth attempt in a C&D maiden last week (Ozark Daze behind); much worse off at the weights with that rival back in handicap company; should go well again at a track he likes but may struggle to uphold form with Ozark Daze.
(3) Ridhaz
3Ronan WhelanM Halford & T CollinsHas had a gelding operation since his 2.5l C&D fourth behind Ameerat Jumaira 43 days ago from 2lb out of the handicap; that form has been franked by the winner and runner up since and he races off a 5lb lower mark here; has to be considered.

A wide-open handicap. Psalm will be popular after his win here last week but this looks tougher. OZARK DAZE was 1.5l behind Psalm in that contest and an 11lb swing in the weights may enable him to turn that form around. The handicapper has given Ridhaz a big chance and Gibbs Island is another one that can't be discounted. The well-handicapped Enough Already could go well at a bigger price. [Dave Stephens]

4Dylan Browne McMonagleRoss O'SullivanGot off the mark on seasonal debut when winning over just short of this trip at Killarney; solid effort but might not have stayed 1m6f at Navan last time; ran well enough sole AW start; wide draw isn't a help but still a major player.

Lady Kai might not have stayed 1m6f at Navan last time but it was still a big run. She should go close but her stall 17 is off-putting. Preference is for WAYSTAR who might not have stayed 1m6f at Navan last time either and her earlier form is very sound. The reserves Glyde Ranger and Explorers Way would have to be considered if getting a run. [Tyrone Molloy]
