(1) Albali
3Jody McGarveyNoel C KellyMild debut promise in Dundalk maiden in April but poor effort following month at Leopardstown for Andy Oliver; tongue-tied on yard/hurdles debut and best watched.
(6) Capellina
3Conor Stone-WalshR K WatsonStarspangledbanner filly showed just fair Flat form in Britain with Michael Dods; hard to see her making an immediate impact hurdling.
4th (5) Billie Frechette
3Darragh O'KeeffeNoel MeadeModest on the Flat (rated 55), penultimate Roscommon handicap second (1m4f, soft) her best run; needs to improve plenty for switch of codes although yard does well with juvenile hurdlers.
2nd (3) Slurricane
3Tom HarneyRoss O'SullivanRated 78 on the Flat, winning over 1m at Killarney in May (soft) and seasonal-best when third in 1m6f Listowel handicap last month; strong favourite on recent hurdles debut at Punchestown but challenge petered out before the last when third behind a pair with good previous hurdling experience; entitled to come on for that experience.
3rd (7) Janes Harbour
3Mark WalshJoseph Patrick O'BrienSome promise on sole Flat outing in August before switched to hurdles, well held at Listowel but showed more in first-time hood at Cork when staying on well into third, having lost momentum when stumbling two out; surely capable of better again and along with Prairie Angel provides a strong challenge for the Joseph O'Brien yard.
(2) Lakota Blue
3Sam EwingGordon Elliott4,000euros yearling; second foal; half-brother to French 2m2f chase winner Hopi Blue; dam maiden half-sister to French 2m3f-3m hurdle/chase winner Olijeff; successful on only start on Flat in France in 1m4f maiden in the provinces in June (soft); yard have won six of the last nine runnings of this race so major respect.
1st (4) Prairie Angel
3Danny MullinsJoseph Patrick O'BrienSister to smart juvenile hurdler (and Flat handicapper/chaser) Prairie Dancer made winning hurdling debut at Ballinrobe in August and has progressed well to win latest two Flat handicaps, at Bellewstown and Roscommon on easy ground (now rated 83); big player although ground possibly on the quick side.

Gordon Elliott has won six of the last nine runnings of this race so his representative Lakota Blue, a Flat winner in France, has to be given the utmost respect. However, Joseph O'Brien has a strong hand here with a pair who have previous hurdling experience, the winner PRAIRIE ANGEL (nap) preferred to the unlucky Cork third Janes Harbour. Slurricane looks next best. [Alan Hewison]

(2) Captain Porridge
4E WalshE D DelanyHome-bred Doyen gelding; second foal; dam was a Flat and hurdles winner for this stable; decent pedigree; tongue-tie on for debut.
(4) Garrick Painter
4Simon TorrensNoel C Kelly2-18 on Flat, both wins on AW; has struggled in three races over hurdles; finished behind Grey Fable at Limerick a fortnight ago.
(6) Hangry
4Ben HarveyJohn C McConnell0-11 on Flat; weak form over hurdles; finished 6l behind Grey Fable (seventh) when ninth at Limerick.
(16) Wayside Lady
4Cian CullinanPatrick Joseph HayesLow-grade Flat performer, jumped badly when set a tough task on hurdling debut at Listowel.
4th (1) Boston Rover
5Paddy ClearyGordon ElliottHas a Flat pedigree and has not looked like a natural jumper on his first two attempts at Gowran and Sligo.
(14) Yarraman Makarrata
4Jody McGarveyGordon ElliottHeld by Cutthewire on Fairyhouse running, 2l behind Grey Fable at Limerick; will need more experience.
(5) Grey Fable
4Donagh MeylerKarl Thornton2-24 on Flat; made an encouraging hurdling debut when fifth at Gowran early last month, clear at one point but hampered by a loose horse before giving way at the second-last; failed to improve on that at Limerick two weeks ago; hooded now, as well as usual tongue-tie.
(15) Summer Dawn
4Michael O'SullivanMrs Lorna FowlerHalf-sister to Nicky Henderson-trained bumper winner Gentleman's Relish; worth a look for future reference.
(9) Lygon Lad
4Kevin SextonGordon ElliottHalf-brother to point/hurdle winner Boher Cailin; dam French hurdle/chase winner; stablemate of the clear form-pick Romeo Coolio.
2nd (8) Ivybrook
6Patrick M O'BrienDermot A McLoughlinFinished behind a longer-priced stablemate when seemingly well fancied on his debut in a bumper here almost a year ago; dam was a useful jumper in France; best watched.
(10) Morning Nightcap
4Charlie O'DwyerJ P DempseyAlways behind and pulled up after three out at Gowran on debut; tongue-tie fitted now.
(13) Viceregent
7Danny MullinsH D McGuiganWon a 1m6f soft-ground handicap at Navan just over a year ago on his final run for Charles Byrnes, whom he left for 15,000euros; has plenty of hurdling experience, placed in five of his 13 starts; may need this.
3rd (11) Presenting Max
5Daniel KingA J MartinHeld narrow lead before unseating rider at third-last fence on point debut last November; despite making mistakes, shaped well in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown in May, finishing fourth and splitting subsequent winners Lightkeeper and Light Fandango.
(3) Cutthewire
5Keith DonoghueIan Patrick DonoghueFavourite (odds-on for debut) when disappointing in two points in the spring; much better when a long-priced third behind the promising Minella Sixo at Fairyhouse on his hurdling debut
(7) Harry's Legacy
6Darragh O'KeeffeHenry De Bromhead2-14 on Flat, wins coming back-to-back over staying distances in the summer of 2022; ran a pleasing race when fourth at Dundalk in September after a 521-day absence; failed to feature in a 2m handicap at Naas last month; interesting, but may need further than this over hurdles.
1st (12) Romeo Coolio
5Sam EwingGordon ElliottPoint winner for Donnchadh Doyle in March 2023, sold for £420,000; coped with a modest gallop that was far from ideal when scoring on his bumper debut at Fairyhouse; put in a spirited effort when second in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham; failed to reproduce that form when fifth at Punchestown; should be too strong for these rivals

This should be straightforward for the Champion Bumper runner-up ROMEO COOLIO, who was an expensive purchase after a maiden point win. The trip may be shorter than ideal for Harry's Legacy, whose Flat wins have come over staying trips. Cutthewire and Presenting Max both shaped quite well on a first hurdles start. Viceregent is a Flat winner with plenty of hurdling experience. [Alan Sweetman]

5Shane FitzgeraldJohn Patrick RyanCompleted a quick hat-trick with Ballinrobe victory in August, following maiden success at the same venue and a Sligo handicap win; went up an aggregate 18lb and has struggled since.
3rd (2) Telecon
7Ricky DoyleMark FaheyDual hurdles winner was returning from 424-day absence when creditable Flat debut fourth at Down Royal over the summer; subsequent Roscommon effort not so good but considered back hurdling with yard in good form.
(8) Dollar Value
9Alex HarveyT G McCourtRecent wins have been in claiming hurdles, still decent lead when fell last over fences at Cork on latest; don't rule out back hurdling.
(15) Wajaaha
9Liam McKennaPatrick J McKennaSole hurdle win since 2020 came in a selling hurdle at Plumpton in 2022 but penultimate Fairyhouse second (to Dame Rapide) was encouraging; tame finishing effort at Galway since a concern though.
(1) Enniskerry
10Michael O'SullivanBarry ConnellMore highly-rated chaser (150) whose recent Flat runs have been disappointing but has to be respected back hurdling (first time 2.5 years) off 18lb lower mark.
(7) Brucio
6Danny MullinsS R B CrawfordProgressive mare last season, winning twice including Listed mares' handicap at Leopardstown in February (2m2f, soft) which resulted in a 16lb rise; best run afterwards on final start when third to a stablemate in valuable 2m Kelso handicap; back from six months' absence and not one to rule out.
(5) Harsh
4Jake CoenGordon ElliottFourth behind then stablemate Lark In The Morning in Boodles at Cheltenham before landing a handicap at the Punchestown festival off 119; hampered at start when never counting (stiff task) in Grade 3 at Tipperary latest and has since switched yards.
(11) Dark Note
5Cian QuirkeAndrew SlatteryMaiden hurdle winner at Sligo last year but winless in ten attempts since hurdling, latest Tipperary fourth to a well-handicapped sort was one of his better efforts; more needed.
(17) Banana Three
4Simon TorrensRoss O'SullivanWinner over 1m4f on the AW when trained by Ger Lyons; trio of hurdles efforts encouraging and could prove a lively one here off light weight on handicap debut.
4th (18) Dame Rapide
7Daniel KingJames M BarrettDual-purpose mare achieved this career-high hurdles rating after beating Wajaaha in 2m Fairyhouse handicap last month; could have more to come off this mark and ground remaining in her favour.
(16) Walhaan
8E WalshCiaran MurphyWas gaining sixth Flat win when scoring under this headgear combination at Dundalk recently; not as good a hurdler though and needs to improve on last hurdles attempt at Killarney.
(9) Golden Joy
5Sam EwingGordon ElliottDebut winner on heavy ground over 2m2f at Auteuil last year and stiff enough tasks on three starts last term for the Elliott yard, including twice well held in Grade 3's; has time on his side and could well have more to offer now entering handicaps.
(4) Man O Work
6Cian CullinanP G FaheyWon valuable 2m Listowel handicap last season off 125 but well held in same contest this season when a strong favourite; Flat run since not without promise but others possibly better handicapped right now.
(6) Ninth Titan
6Brian HayesW P MullinsUseful Flat sort in France; came back from a long absence to win a Tramore maiden hurdle (2m) in June and ran well in two novice events before abruptly pulled up at Limerick last time tried over further; back in trip here for handicap debut with questions to answer.
2nd (10) Helvic Dream
7Donagh MeylerNoel MeadeGroup 1 winner of the Tattersalls Gold Cup in 2021; nowhere near as good a hurdler although third in valuable Listowel handicap was a good effort; left with too much to do on the Flat last time but on a decent mark back hurdling although ideally wants it softer.
5th (14) Lieber Nicc
5Darragh O'KeeffeHenry De BromheadWexford maiden winner over the summer bettered that when clear second in Killarney novice; type to keep improving and opening mark looks workable.
1st (3) Kala Conti
4Carl MillarGordon ElliottWon on heavy ground at Compiegne last year and very useful juvenile hurdler last term, winning Grade 2 at Leopardstown over Christmas and not beaten far when fifth in Grade 1 there in early February; runs well fresh and interesting now entering handicaps.

Very open, very few can be safely ruled out. Top-weight Enniskerry has to be respected back hurdling off a much lower mark than over fences, while the likes of Kala Conti, Dollar Value and Walhaan deserve respect. However, a chance is taken on the handicap debutant LIEBER NICC off what looks a workable mark. [Alan Hewison]

(8) Ringdufferin
6Kevin SextonGordon ElliottUseful stayer over hurdles, rated 127; made pleasing start over fences when third over 3m at Downpatrick in April; plenty to prove now after two disappointing runs at Kilbeggan during the summer.
(7) Bocelli's Voice
8Patrick M O'BrienDermot A McLoughlinBest form over fences has been in 2m events at Wexford; faded before two out when stepped up in trip at Galway in September; others may stay better.
(4) Banjaxed
7Ricky DoyleMrs Lorna FowlerWinning hurdler; placed in the second of two outings in beginners' chases at Ballinrobe; promising effort off 116 on his handicap chase debut at Kilbeggan in July, beaten 1 1/2l; form was well advertised by the third Presenting Lad who won his next three races; holds a leading chance.
2nd (6) Potters Party
7Darragh O'KeeffeHenry De BromheadBeginners' chase winner on heavy at Fairyhouse last November; no impact in two handicaps attempts, most recently in the Killarney National in May when tried in this headgear combination for the first time.
(10) Valsorpresa
6Carl MillarGordon ElliottDownpatrick maiden hurdle winner in April; four ordinary runs over hurdles before shaping much better when second in a 2m4f novices' handicap chase at Perth in September; shorter trip may not have been ideal last time; cheekpieces on now, takes a big step up in trip.
4th (11) Bleu d'Enfer
6Danny MullinsS R B CrawfordTook a while to win a maiden hurdle, doing so at Ayr in February, after several good efforts during the winter, including over fences; looked set to play a featuring role when falling in the lead three out in a novice chase over a shorter trip at this venue in March; not beaten far at Perth on final start last season; could go close if his fitness holds up.
(2) Charlie Luciano
5Sam EwingNoel MeadeFour-time winner over hurdles; won a Fkat handicap over 1m4f at Fairyhouse in June; 0-6 in chases, placed three times; beaten 14l in six-runner contest at Gowran four weeks ago; needs to find extra.
(1) Hascoeur Clermont
7Keith DonoghueGavin CromwellWon over 2m6f at Galway a year ago and over 3m1f Cheltenham the following month; a long way below his best in two outings in August; signs of a return to form when second over this trip at Cork last time; claimer-ridden then, plenty of weight here.
3rd (5) Shajak
5Jordan GainfordGordon ElliottFlat/hurdles winner; off for ten months before a Flat run in July; solid effort on chasing debut in a 2m7f Tramore event in August; made a mistake two out when outpointed by stablemate Rainbow Trail at Gowran four weeks ago; from an Aga Khan family with plenty of stamina; interesting runner in first handicap chase.

Beaten by a stablemate in two beginners' events, SHAJAK has a realistic chance of stepping into the limelight on his handicap debut. Banjaxed does not need to improve much from a Kilbeggan run in July to feature. Bleu D'Enfer is worth considering on his seasonal debut. At the opposite end of the handicap Hascoeur Clermont has prospects. [Alan Sweetman]

9Keith DonoghueGavin CromwellGood strike rate in chases (5-12); however, had looked out of form for a while until his defeat of French Dynamite in a three-runner Gowran conditions event notable for the eclipse of the odds-on favourite who was found to have bled at both nostrils; form franked by French Dynamite, still hard to make a case for him at this level.
(1) Delta Work
11Donagh MeylerGordon ElliottMultiple Grade 1 winner whose most recent top-level success was in the 2020 Irish Gold Cup; won the 3m6f cross-country at Cheltenham Festival in 2022 and 2023; ran four times last season when his campaign was geared towards the Grand National in which he ran a terrific race to finish second.
2nd (4) Hewick
9Jordan GainfordJohn Joseph Hanlon2022 Galway Plate winner and last season's King George hero; ran a fine race in defeat behind Fastorslow and Galopin Des Champs in first-time blinkers in the Punchestown Gold Cup; signed off with another high-class display to take second in a Grade 1 hurdle at Auteuil; will be sharper for his reappearance at Punchestown, when conceding 12lb to the winner.
1st (2) Envoi Allen
10Darragh O'KeeffeHenry De BromheadSeven-time chase winner whose most recent victory came in the 2023 Ryanair; beat Kemboy in this race on his seasonal debut two years; only just touched off by Gerri Colombe here a year ago, but already had a run under his belt then, which probably helped; creditable second in last season's Ryanair; failed to reproduce that form at Aintree.
3rd (3) Gerri Colombe
8Sam EwingGordon ElliottWon this race last year on reappearance, just got up to beat Envoi Allen who had the advantage of race-fitness; trounced by Galopin Des Champs in the Savills at Leopardstown; back to form when 3 1/2l runner-up in Cheltenham Gold Cup; showed no ill-effects from a hard race when beating Ahoy Senor at Aintree; runs well fresh, looks a set to repeat last year's win.

In this race last year, Envoi Allen had race-fitness on his side and ran GERRI COLOMBE very close. That is not the case now, and Gordon Elliott's eight-year-old has significantly advanced his profile with his Cheltenham Gold Cup second and Aintree success. He may be given most to do by last season's King George winner Hewick who should be coming back to peak form after a warm-up run at Punchestown. [Alan Sweetman]

9Danny MullinsJohn Patrick Ryan3-6 over hurdles; 3-14 fences; ended last season with a sequence of runs in small-field Grade 2/3 races; despite a less-than-fluent round of jumping, made a bright start to the new campaign when third behind the front-running Flooring Porter in the Kerry National; trip-versatile; capable of holding his own here.
2nd (5) Pinkerton
8Donagh MeylerNoel MeadeCompleted a chasing hat-trick in winning the Galway Plate off a mark of 138, an excellent performance, significant for proving that he stays effectively; previous chase wins had been obtained at around 2m; warmed up for this with a third placing in a Flat maiden at Navan ten days ago; suited by the race-conditions, though Found A Fifty is greatly respected.
1st (1) Found A Fifty
7Sam EwingGordon ElliottA top 2m novice last season; won Grade 1s, over 2m1f at Leopardstown at Christmas, and 2m at Aintree in April, following second to Gaelic Warrior in the Arkle; made all to land a beginner's event over C&D here a year ago; trip not an issue, but the concession of 14lb to a race-fit Pinkerton could be problematic

The Galway Plate winner PINKERTON has a theoretical edge at the weights. Race-fitness may be enough to see Noel Meade's runner cope with Gordon Elliott's rising star Found A Fifty, whose Grade 1 credentials from his novice campaign augur well for his prospects in the senior ranks. Lucid Dream could run a big race for the ever-adventurous John Ryan. [Alan Sweetman]
