11:30 Fairyhouse Maiden Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

MAJBOROUGH heads three strong contenders for Willie Mullins. The French import was thrown in the deep end by current connections last spring when third in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown before landing the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Mark Walsh's mount has the physique to do well over fences and gets the vote over Tullyhill. The point-to-point winner impressed when scoring twice over hurdles last season before finding Grade 1 company too hot. Asian Master also won twice over hurdles and was a creditable fourth in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, while Western Fold and Theatre Native appear the pick of the remainder.

Last season's triumph hurdle winner MAJBOROUGH is an imposing type on looks and should take the beating on his chase bow. His stablemates Tullyhill and Asian Master, who were both useful over hurdles, may emerge as the main threats.

Regressive 7yo who returned from a break with two very disappointing runs last month.

11:42 Newcastle Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

Glory Hights stayed on well to win at Carlisle last month and is expected to be thereabouts again, although a 4lb rise makes life a little tougher. With that in mind, it could be worth chancing PENPAL, who is 1-2 at the track and performed well for the silver medal when last sighted at Sedgefield. He goes well fresh before and ticks plenty of boxes. Throw Agilulf into the mix as well.

A first win over hurdles could be on the cards for GINGER POINTE, who rather caught the eye when staying on into fifth back in this sphere at Sedgefield where he travelled as well as anything else for much of the journey. Glory Hights is an obvious danger having raised his game when getting off the mark at Carlisle. Penpal is third choice ahead of Paddy O'Mahler.

The pick is GINGER POINTE, who has done pretty well over fences for his new stable this season and ran okay over hurdles last month.

11:55 Doncaster Maiden Hurdle (Class 3) 19f Race Class Flow

A Grade 2 bumper winner at Aintree in April, HORACES PEARL made a perfect start to his jumping career when scoring comfortably over 2m at Huntingdon last month and stepping up in trip could eke out further improvement. The exciting six-year-old can maintain his unbeaten record at the main expense of Off The Jury, who ran with plenty of credit behind a smart prospect on his hurdles bow at Aintree. Jax Junior could be capable of picking up the pieces if the main two falter for any reason.

HORACES PEARL and Off The Jury look set to dominate, with preference for the former, who proved a class apart on his recent Huntingdon hurdling debut and has scope for major progress based on his good-quality bumper form. Jax Junior could be the one to fill the places.

Grade 2 bumper winner HORACES PEARL made a winning hurdle debut at Huntingdon last month and can maintain his unbeaten record.

12:00 Fairyhouse Maiden Chase 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

HO MY LORD has been quite lightly raced but has shown definite promise since sent over fences. The Navan maiden hurdle winner filled the runner-up spot behind Il Etait Temps on his seasonal debut last season and again shaped well on his reappearance this term when second to Farren Glory at Naas. Native Speaker put a disappointing effort at Sligo behind him when scoring in good style over a similar trip here last month and rates more of a threat than Sligo winner Judicieuse Allen. Rainbow Trail won over 2m4f at Gowran, while Kinturk Kalanisi will probably be suited by a greater test of stamina.

NATIVE SPEAKER showed his chase debut running all wrong when running out a dominant winner from the front here over shorter 32 days ago and he's fancied to make another bold bid with further progress in the offing. Mint Boy, Judicieuse Allen and Rainbow Trail head up the dangers in an interesting novices' chase.

NATIVE SPEAKER won with a lot of authority here last month and will take some stopping if he turns up in a similar mood

12:10 Cheltenham Conditions Hurdle (Class 2) 17f Race Class Flow

AMBIENTE AMIGO, a classy recruit from the Flat, has adapted well to switching codes. Having built on her winning hurdles debut at Newcastle with a creditable third-placed finish in a Listed event at Newbury last month, the daughter of Postponed is an attractive proposition. Quantock Hills, who won over timber in France before joining Warren Greatrex, is respected but carries a double penalty after winning at Fontwell most recently. Similar comments apply to Teriferma, whose two wins in Ireland were impressive.

LAVENDER HILL MOB seemed rusty/in need of the experience sent hurdling when second in a small-field, steadily-run affair at Newcastle recently and, open to plenty of improvement based on his Flat form, he's taken to extend his stable's excellent run in this division. Total Look looked good when justifying strong support on his debut in this sphere at Navan last month and seems sure to progress, with Ambiente Amigo and Quantock Hills others to consider.

Irish-trained TOTAL LOOK brought a progressive Flat profile to his hurdling career and it was never in any doubt when he won at Navan.

TOMMYS LAW is clear of these on official ratings and ought to take plenty of beating. He has finished second behind some nice types, particularly at Perth in September, and isn't going to get many better opportunities than this to strike over hurdles. He should have too many gears for Express Run and Devon Skies, who can fight it out for the silver medal.

TOMMY'S LAW is proving most consistent over hurdles and can make the most of what looks an excellent opening. Devon Skies is preferred to Empress Run for forecast purposes.

While TOMMYS LAW's string of second places is a slight cause for concern, he's still very much the one to beat.

A comfortable winner on his chase debut at Ascot last month, BUCKSY DES EPEIRES sets the standard on recent form and a 5lb rise for that success could prove lenient. The form of his stable is another plus and he gets the vote ahead of Sea Invasion, who bumped into a progressive type when second on his first go over the larger obstacles at Plumpton. Classic King and Hidalgo De L'isle have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.

BUCKSY DES EPEIRES made the perfect start over fences when landing a small-field contest at Ascot 3 weeks ago and, very much appealing as the type to go on improving in this sphere, Venetia Williams' 5-y-o is fancied to make another bold bid. The Kalooki Kid is another open to improvement in this sphere and he's feared. Recent C&D winner Classic King and Sea Invasion are others worth a look.

Two-time novice hurdle winner THE KALOOKI KID made a pleasing start to his hurdles career when runner-up at Ayr and can go one better.

SLURRICANE won on the Flat at Killarney earlier this year and has been placed on all three outings since sent over hurdles. The Ross O'Sullivan-trained gelding beat all bar Prairie Angel at Down Royal and again shaped well when third to Its Bilbo in a 21-runner Punchestown maiden. Beyond Your Dreams had a lower rating on the Flat but did win a 1m4f handicap at the Listowel Festival and has filled the runner-up spot on both hurdle starts, including behind Total Look at Navan last month. Young Churchill was placed a couple of times on the Flat, including behind Fighter in a 1m2f Curragh maiden, while Chortal and Ballyearl are others to note on hurdling debut.

BEYON YOUR DREAMS was unlucky to bump into a useful prospect at Navan last month and looks the most persuasive option with further improvement on the cards. Slurricane is going the right way also and is considered the main threat ahead of Chortal.

Having won a bumper for his previous yard before scoring twice over hurdles and once over fences since joining Nicky Henderson, PEAKY BOY has proven to be versatile and rates a serious player. The son of Kayf Tara won readily over 2m4f on his seasonal return last month and could raise his game further over this longer trip. Haiti Couleurs is feared most off just 5lb higher than his comfortable win at Aintree latest. Transmission is another must for consideration.

A cracking contest in store with a host of unexposed staying chasers lining up. The vote goes to HAITI COULEURS, who jumped with aplomb when landing the odds at Aintree 5 weeks ago and Rebecca Curtis' 7-y-o remains potentially smart now faced with a sterner assignment. Peaky Boy completed a course hat-trick on return/chase debut last month, so he heads up the opposition, with Isaac des Obeaux and Transmission both sure to advance their form in this discipline, too.

It's a strong field but it is not hard to think that PEAKY BOY is open to the most improvement and it could be substantial.

Jennie Candlish is enjoying plenty of winners in this sphere this season and IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU, a three-time winner on the Flat, could be worth chancing on his hurdles bow. His connections have found him a really good opening first time up and he boasts sound claims under a 5lb claimer. Knomorediamonds doesn't set a very high standard, but is the main danger boasting a rating of 107. Keep an eye on Remarkable Force too.

If IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU takes to hurdling at the first time of asking he may have a bit too much speed for Lucinda Russell's Knomorediamonds. Susiesparkle may prove best of the remainder in a race where it's hard to be positive about the prospects of many.

All things being equal, Irish point winner GONE WITH THE TIDE should improve on his hurdle debut fifth at Ayr at this realistic level.

Alex Hales' charge returns off an unchanged mark and he can gain compensation. Snowy Clouds has strong claims if resuming his progression on his return from the sidelines. First Angel is another back from an absence, but could not have won any easier at Stratford when last seen and he could also make up for lost time.

NO RISK WITH LOU seemed in the process of building on his winning comeback when departing 4 out over C&D 2 weeks ago so remains of strong interest. Snowy Clouds and First Angel both have an absence to defy but are potentially on nice marks if retaining their ability.

ARCH ENEMY has won six times on the Flat, including twice this autumn, and finished off the campaign on a mark of 84 after scoring at Leopardstown. The selection has only run once over hurdles in the past two years, when far from disgraced in mid-division at Roscommon in July, and should be able to make an impact off her current rating. Kp's Ladyofknock left previous form behind when successful on her first start for Mark Fahey at Clonmel earlier this month, beating Mayos Vendangeur by two and a half lengths. Oakley was unlucky to come up against the well-backed Brave Troop at Thurles last time and is another to consider.

The vote goes to OAKLEY, who resumed with a good second in a big-field Thurles handicap recently and he should have more to offer in this sphere. Arch Enemy has been in fine form on the Flat of late and he will be a big threat if able to continue the good work back over hurdles. Ragmans Corner is also strongly considered, while handicap debutantes Stoneyford Lady and Albatala both need a second look.

13:13 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

Gavin Cromwell, who was responsible for last year's winner of this race, sends out THEONEWEDREAMOF with a solid chance of gaining back-to-back wins in this sphere. A cosy winner over and extended 2m3f at Tipperary in July, the five-year-old mare is open any amount of improvement in this discipline and appears to be on a competitive mark for her handicap debut. Coco Mademoiselle showed promise on her chasing debut in September and is another with the scope for improvement. Realisation and Trapista complete the shortlist.

A case can be made for most of these but it's still hard to side against COCO MADEMOISELLE who looks to start life in handicaps on a very good mark and can go one better than her promising chasing debut Worcester second. Realisation also has better days ahead of her and heads the list of dangers, with Irish-raider Theonewedreamof, Similar Story, So Said I and Shakeyatailfeather in the picture too.

This looks a tough puzzle but the vote goes to REALISATION ahead of Coco Mademoiselle.

CHEMICAL WARFARE's winning spree came to an end at Wetherby, with the handicapper seemingly catching up with him. However, his case wasn't helped by a stumble when the race began to warm up and he comes up against a bunch of largely out-of-form opponents. Nothin To Ask hasn't made too much of an impact this time in, but his mark is coming down and he may capitalise sooner rather than later. This is Basford's first crack at the larger obstacles so there is a chance he could improve.

CHEMICAL WARFARE has been most progressive this season and, having shaped as if still in good order at Wetherby last month, David Pipe's 7-y-o can notch victory number 6 of the campaign at the expense of Nothin To Ask, who showed the benefit of his Chepstow run last time and the handicapper continues to relinquish his grip. Chasing-debutant Basford rounds off the shortlist.

Having had a possible excuse at Wetherby CHEMICAL WARFARE (nap) is taken to bounce back and land a sixth win of the campaign.

Ernest Gray likes it here and returns to Town Moor after getting closest to a well-backed favourite at Warwick. A 2lb rise isn't ideal, while Jeteye is 1lb higher than when continuing his run of placed efforts over C&D. The handicapper is loosening his grip on Cloud Dancer, but another chance can be given to ADVERAM. Ian Duncan's five-year-old blew his chance of supplementing an Ayr triumph when suffering misfortune two out at Carlisle and remains open to improvement.

A trappy event in which a few have decent claims. A chance is taken on FIERCE WARRIOR who posted a standout effort at Plumpton in December, and with possible excuses the last twice, he remains of interest now upped in trip. Adveram was unlucky not to finish closer last time and he should go well again. The consistent Jeteye should also be in the mix.

C&D winner ERNEST GRAY returned to form with a close second at Warwick last month and can go one better this afternoon.

FISHERY LANE was a useful sort in bumpers last season, notably when fifth behind stablemate Jasmin De Vaux in the Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival. He hails from a French family with plenty of jumping winners and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred to Inn At The Park, who was also placed in bumpers. Point-to-point winner Melbourne Shamrock rates an obvious threat having finished a creditable third in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival, while Ayiko won an Ayr bumper last season and was placed in a Naas maiden hurdle. Committee Meeting and Coumeenoole have a similar profile, being point-to-point winners with placed form over hurdles.

FISHERY LANE was surrounded by several subsequent hurdle winners when fifth in the Champion bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March and can make a successful start to his jumps career. Melbourne Shamrock had the selection behind him when a promising third in a Punchestown bumper in May and is second choice ahead of Stuart Crawford's Naas third Ayiko.

13:50 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 1) 21f Race Class Flow

Il Ridoto readily accounted for Ga Law (second) in the Paddy Power Gold Cup last month and though both merit respect, the vote goes to FUGITIF. In danger of being left behind in that race, his seasonal return and first outing following wind surgery, Richard Hobson's charge managed to stay on for fifth. He's now 2lb lower, meaning he is 1lb below the mark off which he claimed this prize 12 months ago, and it would come as no surprise were he to go very close. Madara (fourth) is another to take seriously, along with top-weight Stage Star.

FUGITIF won this last year off 1 lb lower and another big run is on the cards after his encouraging comeback in the Paddy Power Gold Cup. Madara caught the eye starting out for this yard in the same race and rates a big threat, while Le Patron looks back on the upgrade after his dominant reappearance win at Newbury.

Paddy Power eyecatcher MADARA (nap) has this race written all over him and is first choice ahead of In Excelsis Deo.

Kally Des Bruyeres sprung a massive shock when leaving his previous form a long way behind to break through at Huntingdon. He has claims if performing to that level again but a safer option is probably BALRANALD, who failed in the hat-trick bid at Ayr and is perhaps better suited by this shorter trip. Blow A Fortune took a step in the right direction when fourth at Ayr and is worth a look on her handicap debut.

BALRANALD was unable to land the hat-trick last time out but he still ran with credit, and he is taken to resume winning ways at a course where he has previously tasted victory. The main danger could be Blow A Fortune who looks unexposed with cheekpieces applied for her handicap debut. Jet Patrol was in the process of running an encouraging race at Newcastle before falling at the last, and he's interesting with Ryan Mania back in the plate.

If JET PATROL can remain on his feet then he could be better handicapped than many of these.

Won here in March; respectable runs at Cheltenham this term; yard won this in 2020 & 2021.

Return to form is needed and unraced at 3m, but it's worth a go and he's not written off.

Victory in this race 12 months ago formed part of an excellent season for FORWARD PLAN, which saw him go on to get pipped in the Great Yorkshire Chase here before lifting Kempton's Coral Trophy. He returned with a satisfactory fourth in the Badger Beer and should be cherry-ripe to defend his title. The weather put paid to Gaboriot's Becher bid last week, but his Grand Sefton third suggested he is still on the way up. Does He Know's two Cheltenham fourths have been solid and he is back to the mark off which he won the Grimthorpe.

GABORIOT looks set for another productive campaign judged on his solid reappearance third in the Grand Sefton at Aintree where he shaped as though the return to this trip was very much in order. He is marginally preferred to last year's winner Forward Plan, who is greatly respected given his broadly progressive profile and despite the fact that he is 12 lb higher in the weights this time. Does He Know is also high on the shortlist and don't be surprised to see Erne River go well at a price.

The step back up in trip could be ideal for Grand Sefton third GABORIOT (nap) and he earns the vote ahead of Sail Away.

14:12 Fairyhouse Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

Rebelle Chaud has obviously had training issues, but ran a cracker on her reappearance over this trip at Gowran last month when runner-up to Colleen Danu. LETTERS TO JULIET was tracking the leaders when unseating her rider three out in the same event and gets the vote having previously shown promise, including when third at Bellewstown. Jouster won over hurdles here earlier this year and now reverts back having scored over fences at Tramore last time, while any market move for Kaikoura would be significant as he steps into handicap company after staying on into second in a Limerick maiden. Stealthy Tom is much better over fences than hurdles.

A few with chances but Gavin Cromwell's recent Tramore chase victor JOUSTER could prove the answer given he reverts to this sphere on a handy-looking mark. Letters To Juliet could emerge as the main danger provided he is none the worse for his Gowran exertions, with Rebelle Chaud and Nells Choice also in the picture. Stealthy Tom completes the shortlist.

14:25 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 2) 16f Race Class Flow

MASTER CHEWY kept good company last season, including when narrowly denied by the smart Found A Fifty in the Grade 1 Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree in April. He came to grief at the sixth fence in the Tingle Creek last Saturday but, if none the worse for that tumble, he should go very close back in a handicap. Libberty Hunter hit the woodwork in the Grand Annual before finishing third in behind the selection in that Aintree contest. Harry Cobden keeps the ride and he is the biggest danger, ahead of Issar D'Airy.

MASTER CHEWY needs to dispel a spill in last week's Tingle Creek but his overall profile over fences is very much a positive one and Nigel Twiston-Davies' 7-y-o looks a lead protagonist returned to handicap company. Libberty Hunter had an excellent first season over larger obstacles and it's feasible to think he can step forward again given his low-mileage profile. Issar d'Airy is another fancied to feature.

The reappearing LIBBERTY HUNTER may be capable of reversing Grade 1 Aintree placings with Master Chewy.

This will not take much winning and a chance can be taken on BLUE PLAN. Rebecca Menzies' gelding didn't show much over hurdles, but connections have wasted no time in sending him over fences so it would come as no surprise were he to improve. Ballynaheer had excuses at Hereford last month and is a leading contender off 1lb lower, while Lepashe heads the remainder.

BALLYNAHEER needs to shrug off a lesser effort at Hereford 32 days ago but each of his 2 previous chase efforts had contained definite promise and he's worth another chance to get back on the up. Chase debutant Boolamore Classic and Watchoutitscookie are a couple of others to consider in a race where most have something to prove.

A dangerous race as none of these ran well last time. BALLYNAHEER did at least have some excuses and his two previous runs were okay.

Things haven't exactly gone to plan for WEST BALBOA over fences so far this season, but reverting to hurdles could see her bounce right back to form. Dan Skelton's mare is 12lb and upwards ahead of these rivals on official ratings and anything like her third-placed effort at the Aintree Festival in April would make her extremely hard to beat. Gale Mahler stretches out in distance following two satisfactory performances in Grade 2 company at Cheltenham and she rates the biggest threat. Wyenot may prove best of the remaining trio.

WEST BALBOA holds major form claims sent back hurdling after failing to hit top form in a couple of chasing runs this term so looks the way to go. Multiple-winner Gale Mahler hasn't been at her best the last twice but still merits consideration, with Irish-raider Ottizzini and in-form Wyenot both in the mix too.

There have been excuses for WEST BALBOA's two defeats over fences this autumn and she's the one to beat back over hurdles.

PORTARLINGTON has proved a great acquisition for current connections, beating subsequent winner Down Around over this C&D last month and following up when switched to fences at Tramore. The selection appears to have been found a decent opportunity to complete the hat-trick. Miss Lia won a 15-runner maiden over a similar trip at Tramore in August and has scope for improvement as she tries handicap company for the first time, while Jetaway To Getaway is another to consider having been placed over this trip at Gowran last month. Slim Marvel and Liberated Light are others for the shortlist.

LIBERATED LIGHT's jumping isn't always foot-perfect but he is nevertheless appealing off a reduced mark here on the back of an encouraging effort in a competitive 2m Navan handicap last month. This stiffer test could be just what the doctor ordered. Slim Marvel is next on the list ahead of unexposed Tramore maiden winner Miss Lia and Portarlington, who is bidding for the hat-trick following back-to-back victories over fences.

This looks like a good opportunity for PORTARLINGTON to record a hat-trick after scoring from a 1lb lower chase mark last time

SKYJACK HIJACK recorded his sixth win on the bounce when landing the odds at Newcastle with the minimum of fuss. The son of Jet Away is likely to prove competitive at this higher level and can continue his good progress. Western Knight is another improving hurdler with solid claims in this grade, having won in determined fashion at Ascot last month, while point-to-point winner Clondaw General made a winning debut over timber at Worcester on his first start for new connections.

SKYJACK HIJACK has progressed at such a rate of knots that he may be able to take the step up to Graded level in his stride. Western Knight and Clondaw General might be the pair to give Jennie Candlish's fluent-jumping front-runner most to do.

Skyjack Hijack brings much the highest rating but slight preference is for the potential of French challenger JET BLUE.

BESPOKE TAILOR bumped into a progressive rival at Perth on his racecourse debut before finishing second to an impressive winner at Ayr on his return in October. This appears to be an excellent opportunity for Ewan Whillans' gelding to go one better, and he could saddle the 1-2 with Blakey Boy, who shaped with encouragement on his first start at Hexham in June. Gonnino is another solid contender with improvement forthcoming.

BESPOKE TAILOR has been runner-up on both starts to date but this looks easier and he's worth a chance to open his account at the possible expense of stablemate Blakey Boy. Gonnino is also considered and Little Roger is probably the pick of the debutants.

The newcomers Little Roger and TIMELY APPROACH make a fair amount of appeal on pedigree, with preference for the latter.

Deploy To Spy is improving all the time and warrants plenty of respect as he bids to make it four wins in a row, but NORMAN FLETCHER rates the one to beat with stronger form in the book. He was a little unlucky when beaten by subsequent winner Impero at Cheltenham before overcoming a few sloppy jumps to win comfortably at Huntingdon. With a further 6lb rise deemed fair, he should run a big race under regular rider James Turner. Of the others, Jungle Jack has a definite chance following a pleasing comeback effort at Bangor.

DEPLOY TO SPY is firmly on the up and was going away at the finish when winning at Aintree, so he gets the nod over Altobelli, who should be tuned up for this reappearance. Norman Fletcher is another one to consider in an interesting contest.

This could go to ALTOBELLI, who was placed in some warm handicaps last season and goes well fresh. Deploy To Spy is a danger.

FUTURE PROSPECT won a point-to-point for Denis Murphy at Castlelands in March and was sold just a few days later for 150,000 pounds at the Cheltenham Festival. The daughter of Order Of St George is a half-sister to three decent winners, including Redhotfillypeppers, who won four times for Willie Mullins. The champion trainer also saddles Blue Velvet, who was bought for 170,000 euro soon after unseating at the last when holding every chance on her only point start. Swing Davis won between the flags and was third on her debut under Rules at Navan last month, while Galileo Springs and Dee's Lady are others to note.

John Magnier and Willie Mullins team up with winning pointer FUTURE PROSPECT, who scored readily in a point, and she may well be capable of making a successful Rules debut for all that Swing Davis arrives on the back of an excellent start in a listed event. Blue Velvet is another interesting recruit having unseated when sure to score between the flags.

Patrick Mullins has opted to ride FUTURE PROSPECT over stablemate Blue Velvet and that could be a clue in itself

JOYEUSE was no match for the winner when third in novice company at Ascot on her return to action, but Nicky Henderson's charge should be spot on for this handicap debut and a bold bid looks on the cards. Georgi Girl made a winning reappearance with an impressive display at Warwick and she can feature in the finish, while Lucy Wadham has won two of the last three renewals, so it would be no surprise to see a big run from Pretending.

Although the Fighting Fifth was too much for TAKE NO CHANCES she's flourished in general over hurdles in the last year or so and can make light of top weight back in a handicap. Unexposed Nicky Henderson handicap debutante Joyeuse is a potentially dangerous opponent, while C&D scorer Pretending shaped better than the result at Wincanton last time and trainer Lucy Wadham has a good recent record in this race.

The one with striking potential is handicap newcomer JOYEUSE. She can lead them home ahead of Royale Margaux.

They come up against a couple of interesting newcomers, though, not least SADDADD, who is closely related to the high-class Almaqam and has been given an early entry in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. Royal Favour is from a smart South American family and cost 175,000gns as a yearling.

The market should reveal plenty but this could go the way of Roger Varian's Pinatubo newcomer SADDADD who is bred to be well-above average. Highfield Sunshine appeals as the pick of those with experience and is next on the list, with Royal Favour and Seven Symphonies both firmly in the picture too.

Edge Ofthe Unknown made the best possible beginning to his career when winning at Newcastle and he looks a useful prospect. He has to concede 7lb all round and that sways the vote in favour of Frankel colt PINHOLE, who got going too late over 7f at Newmarket but still caught the eye and is fancied to step forward. Masubi showed good ability on his first couple of appearances prior to being gelded and fading into sixth at Kempton. He might be able to see his race out better now.

PINHOLE shaped well on his sole run for Sir Michael Stoute when fifth at Newmarket in the autumn and is taken to make a winning start for another good yard here. The Crisfords' newcomer Dixieland Blues appeals on paper and could prove a big threat though, while Newcastle-scorer Edge of The Unknown and fair-maiden Masubi can't be ruled out either.

Edge Ofthe Unknown is promising but has to concede 7lb to PINHOLE who is likely to flourish now upped to 1m.

SILVER NIGHTFALL has been highly consistent of late and from just 4lb higher than for her 1m3f success at Kempton 10 days ago, she offers strong appeal, with the drop in trip not expected to be an issue given she won over a mile at Chelmsford three starts back. The hat-trick seeking More Than A Feelin is another must for consideration after her win over the extended mile here last month. Bernadine and Thewind Cries Mary are others to bear in mind.

MORE THAN A FEELIN made it 3 wins from her last 4 starts on synthetics with a bit to spare over shorter here 4 weeks ago and, unexposed at this sort of trip, she looks to hold sound claims again. Silver Nightfall is another filly in flying form and she's another high on the shortlist. Thewind Cries Mary and Naomhi complete the shortlist.

The two that standout are More Than A Feelin and SILVER NIGHTFALL, with slight preference for the latter.

HITCHED burst back into life last month, completing a quickfire hat-trick at Lingfield and Newcastle. He had a subsequent winner back in third when successful at the latter venue so a further 6lb rise may still underestimate him in his current mood. Cosmos Raj failed when on a three-timer of his own at Lingfield but he has been freshened up, although Pasha could turn out to be the bigger threat following a couple decent efforts in defeat since switching to the all-weather.

HITCHED is on a roll and is taken to defy the handicapper again. Feel The Need requires things to fall right but he shaped quite well when running on from too far back at Newcastle last month and is second choice ahead of Pasha.

Assuming he gets better fortune, FEEL THE NEED is taken to open his AW account. Pasha is second choice.

Pave The Way sets just an average standard with an official rating of 73, but still needs considering. Princess Pw, Queen Himiko and Scarlet Sunset have also shown enough promise to merit betting checks.

PAVE THE WAVE shaped better than the bare result having been bumped at a crucial stage when fourth in a Southwell maiden 6 weeks ago and, remaining with potential, she gets the nod to come out on top now tackling this longer trip. Spirit of Jura and Princess Pw are others to consider.

Several have possibilities but the vote goes to PAVE THE WAY, who has the best form and looks open to more progress at this new trip.

LAURENS DREAM remains in cracking form, despite her winning run coming to an end over 5f at Newcastle, and likely to benefit from stepping back up in trip, she rates the one to beat. Chuti Manika was a little unlucky when third at Wolverhampton, having to swerve to avoid a stumbler and then forced to race wide on the bend, and he warrants respect off a 1lb higher mark. Kildonan and Sabrimento are others to note.

A competitive nursery. CHUTI MANIKA wasn't beaten far at Wolverhampton last time, despite meeting trouble, and is given a chance to build on that promise. Laurens Dream lost her unbeaten AW record last time but ran well considering the drop to 5f didn't look ideal and is a likely threat back at 6f. George Boughey pair Sabrimento and Cosmic Force are a few of many others who could go well.

The vote goes to CHUTI MANIKA, who performed well in difficult circumstances last time. Kildonan is second choice.

However, he may be a different proposition with that experience to draw upon now he is tried over the minimum trip. Several others also have scope to improve and the likes of Sundiata Keita, Miss Funky Monk and Sandscreendeliverd need to be monitored in the betting.

TROUBLE MAN went close to making a winning debut at Southwell and this looks a good chance for him to go one better. Stablemates Em Four and Sandscreendelivered offered something to work on starting out so are feared most.

Iberian is best treated at these weights and it will be interesting to see how he fares on his first start since wind surgery, but MISTY GREY looks the most solid option. David O'Meara's charge is the top-rated performer in this line-up and won competitive handicaps at both Newcastle and Epsom prior to a break. If anywhere near full fitness on his return to action, he could prove a tough nut to crack. Significantly might fare best of the remainder.

MISTY GREY has an absence to overcome but still gets the nod in his attempt to bag a hat-trick having been in fine form when last seen in the summer. Significantly also returns to the track after a lay-off but commands plenty of respect. Iberian and Silky Wilkie can fight it out for minor honours.

Misty Grey should go well but WE NEVER STOP dug deep to win over C&D last month and could spring a surprise.

There have been more promising signs of late from GIORGIO M, who finished fourth over C&D earlier this month. George Boughey's gelding would have been closer were it not for being denied a clear run approaching the furlong pole and he is drawn to produce a similar level of performance. The unexposed Mahato wasn't disgraced over 7f at Newcastle and could find more for the addition of a first-time tongue-tie. Others to note include Dashing Harry and Evocative Spark.

It could be worth chancing CAIRN GORM, who's on a potentially good mark starting out for a shrewd yard back from an absence. Dashing Harry and Lady Dreamer both shaped better than the bare result last time and they head the dangers.

The answer to a tight handicap could be the lightly raced MAHATO who shaped better than the bare result at Newcastle three weeks ago.

Captain Vallo has been in cracking form at Newcastle, readily winning an amateur jockeys' handicap last week, and he looks the main danger. Alshimali and Snow Berry are others to keep an eye on.

HAVANA SKY is going the right way all of a sudden and did well to get up from an unpromising position at Lingfield last month, so he's fancied to land the hat-trick, with Captain Vallo striking as the main danger ahead of Alshimali.

Captain Vallo and Havana Sky are solid but the unexposed ALSHIMALI (nap) looks primed to strike.

Billyb drops back in trip with a shout, while Alzahir failed to get a clear run last time and is not out of this either.

ALZAHIR has displayed the odd quirk or 2 but having shaped much better than the bare result when gambled on at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago, Jennie Candlish's 4-y-o gets the nod to regain the winning thread from his sliding mark. The form of DAARIS' recent course success has worked out well and although he hasn't been the easiest to win with, this is an excellent opportunity from just 2lb higher. Doublethetrouble came up just short in his hat-trick bid at Kempton and he merits the utmost respect raised a further 3lb in the ratings. Dance Time and Sir Joseph Swan are just two more to consider.

An absence of well over 2 years is naturally a concern but SON OF RED remains of strong interest given his low-mileage and progressive profile in this sphere. It goes without saying that confidence levels will be elevated if there's support for this 7-y-o in the ring. Liberated Lad shaped as though well worth another crack at this trip when fifth at Kempton recently and he is feared most. Last-time-out winner Daaris is also shortlisted, along with Dance Time.

Back over 2m, DANCE TIME could well reverse last-time placings with the more exposed Daaris who commands respect all the same.

Haku went agonisingly close here before winning at Wolverhampton and another good account seems assured, despite a 3lb rise. God Of Fire disappointed at Kempton on his first start for new connections but it is too soon to write him off, and that also applies to CELLO. Andrew Balding's charge failed to fire when well beaten here on his handicap debut back in February, but he looked potentially useful when winning a novice race at Kempton before that and gets another chance on his reappearance.

In a competitive event, HAKU is up there with the form picks and he's taken to make it three wins from his last four starts. Skye Breeze could be dangerous if ready to go after a 213-day break, while Beraz has the credentials to be in the shake up if he can avoid a tardy start.

Although HAKU has been nudged up another 3lb for Wolverhampton he's the one in this line-up who definitely arrives in form.

A chance is taken on WE'RENOTREALLYHERE, who was a close-up third behind two subsequent winners (second notched up a double) over C&D latest and could potentially improve for the fitting of a first-time visor. Book Of Life got within a short head of victory over track and trip three weeks ago and he is likely to be in the shake-up again, while City Cyclone and Tenyatta are other names to note.

The three with the most appealing credentials are BOOK OF LIFE, Tenyatta and City Cyclone. They all went close last time out and choosing between them isn't easy but Book of Life, who remains on an attractive mark and is unexposed over 1m+, gets the nod. The filly Tenyatta is marginally preferred to City Cyclone for forecast purposes.

The strongest claims are held by the bang-in-form BOOK OF LIFE (nap) who can finally capitalise on some leniency from the handicapper.

Stuart Williams' sprinter looks capable of winning off his current mark on that evidence and may prove the one to beat. Under Curfew drops back in distance with solid claims and can make his presence felt, while Street Life is usually in the mix at this level and also merits consideration.

LEWIS BARNES is bang in form and this is a lesser race than the ones he's been contesting recently, so he gets the nod over Socialise, who is blinkered on his second outing for a shrewd stable. Street Life isn't without hope.

Lewis Barnes is the solid option but there are grounds for expecting a revival from HENERY HAWK back on AW.

A number of in-form players make for a competitive heat, but JERSEY ROCS should have more to offer after the fitting of first-time blinkers enabled a breakthrough victory at Southwell last month. Outrace appeared to benefit from the application of cheekpieces when scoring comfortably over C&D three weeks ago and having a 7lb apprentice aboard should be a big help to him. Richard Hannon's colt is feared most, while Prince Ali and Retraction add further spice.

RETRACTION ran well over C&D 3 weeks ago, and has to be taken seriouly. Outrace and Prince Ali are feared most.

Outrace has to be feared but RETRACTION is definitely due a change of luck and is preferred.
