(2) Miss Tempo 16/1, Fairly useful winner at 3m over hurdles. 8/1, sixth of 8 in novice chase at Tramore (22f, good to soft) 84 days ago. Stable in good form and she could yet get back on track returning from a break.

(3) Winding River 6/1, Won 8-runner handicap chase at Clonmel (20.7f, good to soft, 9/2) 17 days ago, asserting run-in that despite a far-from-fluent round of jumping. This looks a tougher ask and he needs to keep the errors at bay.

11:50 Naas Handicap Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BALLYBRACK WOOD failed to score in six outings over hurdles but looks to have a brighter future over fences after making a successful start over this trip at Tramore last month. The selection was prominent throughout when justifying favouritism in that beginners event and may now have most to fear from another with a similar profile in Gustavo Goodway. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding races from 3lb out of the handicap proper but also made an encouraging start over fences when third to Finnians Row in a 2m2f Gowran handicap and the form of that race has received a number of boosts since. Winding River bids to follow up a recent Clonmel win while Andys Flame and Sea Road Fill are others to note.

Boasting a low-mileage profile over hurdles, BALLYBRACK WOOD found improvement to make a winning chase debut at Tramore 31 days ago and with further progress in the offing now handicapping, he makes plenty of appeal in his follow-up bid. Andys Flame and Digby are others to consider, along with Winding River.

Second at Cork on his penultimate start, SEA ROAD FILL gets the vote to score on his handicap debut

12:10 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GOLD IN THE RIVERS won a maiden hurdle for Gordon Elliott on his penultimate start at Limerick and the five-year-old may put his experience to good use, despite dropping to 2m for the first time in his career. Tutti Quanti commands plenty of respect based on his second at Taunton in January, while Imaginarium was outclassed in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month but is back at a more realistic level.

TUTTI QUANTI made a very promising start over hurdles last season, splitting a similarly promising pair at Taunton when starting out for Paul Nicholls in January, and he could be hard to beat if ready to roll. The penalised Gold In The Rivers is a big player on his return for a new yard and Imaginarium completes the shortlist.

Preference is for TUTTI QUANTI, who went close on his British debut in January and is open to significant improvement this season.

12:20 Naas Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SPASIBA is a useful stayer on the Flat and has shaped well in three outings for current connections this year including when third behind stablemate Sirius in the valuable amateur riders' handicap at the Galway Festival. The selection also filled the runner-up spot on his only hurdle start in a Limerick maiden last Christmas for Sam Curling. Musta Lovea Lovea has plenty of previous experience over hurdles and was placed three times here last season including when third to Slade Steel in this corresponding race. The race sponsor Oliver McKiernan is also represented by Syracus Du Houx, who was second in a Punchestown maiden this spring.

Usually an informative maiden and SPASIBA is strongly fancied to strike for Willie Mullins. He's been running well on the level for his new yard and made an encouraging debut in this sphere for his previous trainer at Christmas. Oliver McKiernan's pair Musta Lovea Lovea and Syracus du Houx look the dangers.

This is a good opportunity for 88-rated Flat performer SPASIBA to get off the mark on his second start over hurdles.

12:30 Sandown Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Don't Tell Su and Vincenzo can both make the running and could set testing fractions. The former, who is of low milage, is particularly attractive on just his second start in a handicap. However, his stable companion HENRI THE SECOND offers more intrigue. A Grade 2 over C&D as a five-year-old, the son of Saddler Maker can go well fresh and, with proven effectiveness at this venue, he could be the one to benefit most with his stamina more assured.

Claims can be made for several here and it may pay to take a chance on Venetia Williams' FALCO DES PINS. A low-mileage 4-y-o, he signed off his time in France with a good second at Angers in the spring and he appeals as the type to make his mark now handicapping/up in trip before the benefit of market clues. Vincenzo, Monviel and Don't Tell Su all command respect also.

Preference is for ACT OF AUTHORITY who stayed on well in a competitive 2m handicap here in April. Don't Tell Su is a danger.

12:40 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THE KEMBLE BREWERY needed time to recover from his hurdling debut at Cheltenham last November having picked up an injury. The five-year-old got off the mark over timber at Worcester last month and the form has already worked out with the runner-up Jurancon going one better at Chepstow earlier this week. Jackpot D'ainay wears a hood for the first time after racing too keenly at Uttoxeter on his first attempt over hurdles. He may prove the biggest threat if settling better, while Koapey and Kick For Touch are others to note.

Successful on each of his 2 starts in bumpers, THE KEMBLE BREWERY surpassed his hurdles debut form after 11 months off when successful at Worcester (2m) 25 days ago. Open to improvement, he can defy weight all round and follow up. Jackpot d'Ainay is a likely improver following his good third at Uttoxeter recently, with Koapey and Chesh another pair of interest from bumpers.

Dual bumper winner THE KEMBLE BREWERY quickened clear with a next-time-out winner over hurdles last month and has strong claims here.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PINOT GRIS was the pick of these on the Flat and also has plenty of experience over hurdles. The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding added to two Flat wins when landing a Bellewstown maiden hurdle this spring and beat all bar Eagles Reign in the valuable Lartigue Hurdle at the Listowel Festival. Zariygann has taken well to hurdles easily winning a Roscommon maiden and the half-brother to Zanahiyr followed up in good style at Listowel. Wonleg also won a maiden at Roscommon on his debut under Rules and has plenty of scope for improvement.

WONLEG impressed when taking a big-field Roscommon novice 6 weeks ago, and while this small-field affair presents a different test, he could be up to it given the improvement he probably has in the works. Zariygann won't go down fighting as he bids to make it 3-3 in this sphere.

An ordinary sort on the Flat, ZARIYGANN has prospects of keeping his unbeaten hurdles record intact with his Listowel win boosted

13:05 Sandown Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

EL RIO was in a dominant mood when making a winning return at Huntingdon last month and, barring a mistake at the last, the seven-year-old showed he is adaptable over fences and should have more to offer from just 6lb higher. Passing Well is surely better than he managed when letting favourite backers down in a similar event at Newbury when last seen and could bounce back with trip and ground to suit. Belgarum and Abingworth are both on retrieval missions but could figure if their jumping improves.

None of these can be ruled out but the vote goes to EL RIO who returned in style when successful at Huntingdon and can defy a 6 lb weights rise with few miles still on the clock. The reappearing Passing Well is feared most from the in-form Jamie Snowden yard ahead of Gary and Josh Moore's pair Abingworth and Hudson de Grugy.

Topweight PASSING WELL was looking good at this stage last season and reappears with his trainer Jamie Snowden in fine form.

VILLAGE MASTER remains unbeaten in five starts over the larger obstacles and the handicapper may not have caught up with him yet based on his latest success at Fontwell in June. Joe Tizzard's gelding remains open to improvement on just his sixth start over fences, while Icaque De L'isle and Bonza Boy are others to consider.

Richard Bandey's ICAQUE DE L'ISLE (nap) returned to form with a clear second at Worcester last month and is only 1lb higher here.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LIEUTENANT MAYNE won twice in bumpers on testing ground earlier this year and is an interesting recruit to hurdles. The John McConnell-trained gelding raced prominently on both occasions including when making all on the Midlands National card at Uttoxeter. Masterboy Davis was placed twice in bumpers also on heavy going last season including when just denied at Punchestown by Sounds Victorius who went on to finish fourth at the Cheltenham Festival. Make Sunshine has some jumping experience and was fourth in a Wexford maiden recently, while any market support for Another Challenge would be interesting.

LIEUTENANT MAYNE reached a near useful level in bumpers during the spring and with this increase in trip promising to suit now hurdling, he could well be the way to go in a race essentially lacking a great deal of depth. Masterboy Davis was another who displayed promise in that sphere and, along with ex-pointer Hills of Glory, heads up the dangers.

Dual British bumper winner Lieutenant Mayne may not cope with MASTERBOY DAVIS whose best Irish bumper run is more persuasive

Noahsgreatrainbow was a close second in a Listed bumper at Newbury when last seen and looks an obvious threat on that basis. Big Ginge and De Kingpin are also noteworthy contenders.

13:50 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Nels Son and Churchstone Rover both offered plenty to work with on their respective third-placed hurdle introductions when trained in Ireland and they must enter calculations. However, the highly-regarded CREST OF FORTUNE was far from disgraced when finishing fifth in the valuable Goffs UK Spring Sale Bumper at Newbury in March and he looks just the type to excel now tackling hurdles. Anthony Honeyball's gelding gets the verdict, while Rula Bula and Ski Lodge are other interesting contenders.

Lots of potential on show here, not least Olly Murphy's JACCOURS who is fancied to build on his promising Worcester fourth (form been franked) now his stamina is drawn out more and get off the mark. Farland also shaped well when third at Chepstow last time and could emerge as the main danger, with Churchstone Rover and Nels Son also with the form to have a say. Newcomers Ski Lodge, Crest of Fortune and Tokyo Tom also need factoring into this intriguing maiden.

This is packed with interest almost all the way down the card. SKI LODGE and Rula Bula ended bumper campaigns on positive notes.

14:00 Naas Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

There looks a bit more to come from the five-year-old WIN SOME LOSE SOME. The Champs Elysees gelding found more late on to get up at Clonmel last time and was a cosy enough winner at the line. He was hit with an 8lb hike for that but going a bit further and a stiff uphill finish here should suit. The admirable veteran Happy Jacky heads the weights and should be a big player. The Milan gelding got collared late on at Gowran Park last time and is 3lb higher now. The Busy Fool was a winner last time but that came back in April. He could be a contender if ready to roll on his return.

Plenty are in with a shout. HAPPY JACKY arrives on the back of an excellent Gowran second so edges the vote at the chief expense of The Busy Fool who is also weighted to have a say on his seasonal return. Win Some Lose Some, Natural Look and First Dare are others to consider in this very open contest.

Preference is for bottom-weight MISSUS BEETON, a progressive mare that went desperately close at Punchestown last month

14:15 Sandown Handicap Chase (Class 3) 15f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

JERIKO DU REPONET looks just the type that could excel over fences this season for leading connections, having scored in a point-to-point previously. Unbeaten in three starts over hurdles last season before an excusable display when pulled up in the Supreme. The five-year-old sets a lofty standard on form and is preferred to fellow chasing newcomer Kansas Du Berlais, who had a decent pipe-opener on the Flat at Ascot last month. Twice a winner last season for new connections, Brookie could be interesting if taking to this discipline on the fourth attempt.

JERIKO DU REPONET brings considerable potential to the novice chasing ranks and is fancied to go in at the first time of asking before tackling better company. Brookie has experience on his side and appeals as the one to chase home Nicky Henderson's smart winning hurdler.

The Nicky Henderson-trained JERIKO DU REPONET could evolve into a top-notch novice chaser and he can make light of his opening mark.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having proved a different proposition when making a winning handicap/seasonal debut over 2m3f at Fontwell last month, there is likely more to come from BROUGHSHANE. The son of Mahler got the better of a subsequent winner and, with this 3m distance expected to suit, a 9lb higher mark may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Dangers are aplenty, with the unexposed Fortified Fortune feared most, ahead of the progressive Stratton Oakmont.

Lots with chances but BROUGHSHANE remains on a workable mark despite taking a 9 lb rise for his stylish Fontwell victory with this step up in trip also a plus for this son of Mahler. The handily-weighted Fair Frontieres is feared most, although Woodie Flash, Stratton Oakmont and Fortified Fortune all need considering too.

The two most interesting candidates, open to the most improvement, are Broughshane and FORTIFIED FORTUNE.

14:35 Naas Conditions Chase 16f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This looks like a nice starting point for MARINE NATIONALE, in a race where he gets weight from his main rivals. The French Navy gelding looked to have the world at his feet when running out an easy winner of the Supreme Novices' in March 2023 but he has something to prove now having disappointed when last seen in the Irish Arkle in February. Hercule Du Seuil ran well at Punchestown when third in Grade 1 company and is top rated on 150. Giving 9lb to the selection could be tough, though. Quilixios was only a neck behind Hercule Du Seuil when the pair were fourth and fifth at Aintree and gets 5lb from that rival here, so he's another leading contender.

Barry Connell's high-class MARINE NATIONALE is fancied to make light of his absence and quickly resume winning ways in this Grade 3 chase at the chief expense of C&D winner Quilixios who represents the in-form Henry de Bromhead team. Hercule du Seuil appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

His novice campaign did not go to plan, but top novice hurdler MARINE NATIONALE has the ideal opportunity here to get back on track

14:50 Sandown Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 16f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A highly consistent sort throughout last season, ZAMBEZI FIX was last seen scoring comfortably at Chepstow in April for which he has been raised 5lb. Bernard Llewellyn's charge has run well fresh in the past, and he can follow up at the main expense of Ooh Betty, who drops in class having finished runner-up in Listed company at Cheltenham last time out. A winner on debut over C&D in February before falling in the Adonis, Peking Opera is of interest on his return in this sphere, while the unexposed Lario cannot be ruled out either.

DON HOLLOW gets the nod to build on a promising comeback run at Carlisle last month. Peking Opera should be spot on for this after a pair of Flat runs last month and is second choice ahead of Lario, who should find this a touch easier than the ultra-competitive novice handicap he contested here when last seen in the spring.

The unexposed 5yo LARIO (nap) drops back down in grade for his second handicap start and gets the nod for the in-form Harry Derham.

15:00 Ffos Las Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Chase debutant Heard That was knocking on the door in handicap hurdles last season and he warrants respect in this sphere given his point-to-point background. With that being said, this 2m trip may prove on the sharp side for the Watar gelding and MUMBLES shades the verdict. Evan Williams' inmate looked to be biding his time over the smaller obstacles during his last campaign and fences could be the making of him. You Say Nothing is now 8lb below his C&D victory in May 2023 and market support on his return would be interesting.

The betting can prove useful in assessing the quintet of chasing debutants but C&D winner YOU SAY NOTHING returns from a break lurking on a very handy mark and, with the drop back in trip another likely plus, he could be worth siding with to bounce back. Of the chasing newcomers, Heard That, Roger and Mumbles make most appeal and head up the dangers.

A chance is taken on DOORS BREAKER, who might have been revitalised by a change of stable.

15:10 Naas Maiden Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FARREN GLORY should be hard to beat here on his second outing over fences. The Grade 1-winning hurdler chased home impressive scorer Inthepocket on his chase debut at Wexford 13 days ago and is entitled to improve for that experience. He doesn't face anything of that class now. Ho My Lord makes his first start for Padraig Roche and may be the one to give him most to do. He had some good novice form last season, including chasing home Il Etait Temps at Thurles. Owner JP McManus also has One Last Tango and he could get closer now after a couple of spins over fences.

FARREN GLORY should be very hard to beat on the back of his promising opening effort over fences at Wexford. Ho My Lord had some decent form in similar races last season and might be the one to follow him home on his return for new trainer Padraig Roche.

This looks a decent opprtunity for Grade 1-winning novice hurdler FARREN GLORY after a good first effort at Wexford

15:25 Sandown Handicap Chase (Class 2) 24f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

COPPERHEAD is mopping up in this sphere and arrives chasing a four-timer following wins at Plumpton, Chepstow and Aintree. He's picked up this season where he left off in May and had the reopposing Certainly Red (second) and Good Boy Bobby (third) behind when scoring impressively at Chepstow two starts back. He then bolted up at Aintree a fortnight ago and Joe Tizzard is still banging in the winners, so it's difficult to get away from the 10-year-old.

All four runners can have a case made for them but CERTAINLY RED has a decent record at Sandown and could be the way to go after his encouraging comeback at Chepstow behind 4-timer seeking Copperhead. Moroder was second in the bet365 Gold Cup here in 2023 and lurks on a very dangerous mark with headgear back on. Last year's winner Good Boy Bobby also shaped well on return behind Copperhead and is firmly in the mix, also.

Copperhead is on a four-timer but CERTAINLY RED has a persuasive pull in the weights from their clash at Chepstow last month.

15:35 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In a moderate event IONITY is hard to oppose having won over C&D in May and he was third at Ludlow on his return to action last month. A reproduction of either of those efforts would give him a big chance here. The main threat may prove to be Villainess and she may improve following her sixth at Uttoxeter a few weeks ago. The rest all have questions to answer, but Chauffeur Driven and Lady Harriett are the pick of them.

IONITY is the most solid option back at the scene of his C&D win in May but there are a few unexposed sorts in opposition who could easily take a step forward, headed by Alan King's Top Kap and the selection's stablemate Mount Washington, who ought to appreciate this longer trip.

It's an early stage in some of these careers but at the moment it looks as if IONITY is easily the most solid candidate.

16:00 Sandown NH Flat Race (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Gary and Josh Moore sent out an impressive bumper winner at Newbury this week so it will be interesting to see what the market makes of newcomer Edward Sexton and Hurricane Pat, who has twice finished runner-up between the flags in Ireland. Broxy Music looks the pick of Nicky Henderson's pair judged on jockey bookings and Old Park Star is another newcomer to note, but this can go the way of YOUDECIDE. The point-to-point scorer might be a bit of value for the shrewd Ben Pauling team.

Several good stables are represented in what has the look of a warm bumper. Harry Derham point recruit KIWI RUSH gets a tentative vote ahead of Broxy Music, Old Park Star and Next Twist in a race where the betting is sure to provide more clues.

Paul Nicholls won this 12 months ago with an odds-on newcomer and 120,000euros buy OLD PARK STAR is taken to make a winning debut.

16:10 Ffos Las NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Mighty Fleur and Reel Orange are the pick of those with race experience but the level they set is not particularly high. As a result, a chance can be taken on EASY LOVE, who cost 80,000 euros after winning an Irish point-to-point in April. I Am The Moon has a pedigree that suggests that she could go well in this sphere, while similar comments apply to Highland Haven and Ramalamadingdong.

A concluding bumper where the betting is likely to be informative. Before any such clues are known the suggestion is EASY LOVE, who won an Irish point in the spring and has Harry Cobden booked for this Rules debut. I Am The Moon, Highland Haven and Visions of Johana are newcomers who make paper appeal, while Mighty Fleur should also feature after placing twice at Uttoxeter earlier in the year.

The suggestion is Irish point winner EASY LOVE, who has joined a stable with a very good bumper record.
