1st (5) (28/1 +15%) Certain Style |
28/1(+15%) | (5) Certain Style 28/1, 66/1, fourth of 7 in handicap at Chelmsford City (14f) 33 days ago, slowly away. 1 lb out of the weights. Exposed maiden after 15 starts; has plenty to prove now upped in trip; others preferred.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (10/3 -11%) Gold Aura |
10/3(-11%) | (1) Gold Aura 10/3, Remains a maiden after 21 Flat runs. 10/1, bit below form fourth of 12 in handicap at Nottingham (14f, heavy) 13 days ago. Respected back on AW. 21-runner maiden but has been runner-up seven times on AW; steps up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/4 +31%) Upepo |
11/4(+31%) | (2) Upepo 11/4, Course winner. 9/2, good sixth of 12 in handicap at Kempton (12f) 15 days ago. Up in trip. Of interest back at this track (won 3 times here last winter). Below best since March but 3-3 here and a revival is possible back on this track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (6/4 +50%) Shaad |
6/4(+50%) | (6) Shaad 6/4, First run since leaving S. P. C. Woods when creditable second of 8 in handicap (10/3) at Southwell (14.1f) 7 days ago, slowly away. Visor on 1st time. Shaped as if further will suit and he could have more to offer for this yard. Market springer when second on stable debut at Southwell last Tuesday; claims up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/2 +31%) Grand Duchess Olga |
11/2(+31%) | (3) Grand Duchess Olga 11/2, Latest win at Kempton in June. Respectable fifth of 9 in handicap (9/2) at Wolverhampton (16.6f) 8 days ago. Thereabouts. Won at Kempton in June off 3lb lower mark and has been placed three times since.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SHAAD improved on his first start for James Owen when runner-up at Southwell last week and the application of a visor for the first time is likely to aid his cause in what appears to be a more-than-winnable contest on paper. Christian Bruce hasn't shown much in three starts but is bred to stay well and has to be of interest on her handicap bow, while the return to the all-weather should benefit Gold Aura.
SHAAD made a promising start for this yard when second at Southwell last week and can go one better with this longer trip expected to suit. Fellow 3-y-o Christian Bruce is feared most now handicapping/up in trip.
Christian Bruce can be expected to improve but SHAAD may be able to get off the mark on his second run for James Owen.

7/2(+0%) | (6) Nanny Park 7/2, Golden Horn filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Purgatory. Dam, winner up to 7f (2-y-o 6f winner), half-sister to useful 1m-1¾m winner Swivel. Fifth of 14 in novice at Kempton (8f, 15/2) on debut 20 days ago, not knocked about. Can make presence felt. Promising fifth over 1m at Kempton; clear possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Ran encouragingly at Kempton two months ago; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (12/1 +40%) Pershalla |
12/1(+40%) | (8) Pershalla 12/1, 50,000 gns yearling, Persian King filly. Dam 1¼m winner who stayed 1¾m out of smart 1¼m-1½m winner (stayed 1¾m) Polly's Mark. Seventh of 12 in novice at Newmarket (7f, soft, 14/1) on debut 27 days ago. Lot to find on her Newmarket effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (50/1 -257%) Chilli Queen |
50/1(-257%) | (4) Chilli Queen 50/1, Havana Gold filly. Sister to useful winner up to 9f Hariboux and half-sister to 2-y-o 1m winner Tara Iti, also multiple hurdle winner. Dam 1¼m-1½m winner. 15/2 and hooded, twelfth of 14 in novice at Kempton (8f) on debut 20 days ago, very slowly away. Needs a big step forward with the hood removed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (40/1 -122%) Magic Runner |
40/1(-122%) | (5) Magic Runner 40/1, Twice-raced maiden. Seventh of 11 in maiden (25/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 15 days ago. Likely to be more interesting in handicaps shortly. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (125/1 -279%) Crackamour |
125/1(-279%) | (1) Crackamour 125/1, €70,000 Cracksman gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including smart 1¼m-1½m winner Plein Air and useful winner up to 11f Close Your Eyes. Tenth of 12 in maiden (20/1) at Kempton (8f) on debut 15 days ago. Well behind stablemate Family Knight at Kempton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (150/1 -275%) Tiny Rebel |
150/1(-275%) | (3) Tiny Rebel 150/1, 7,000 gns foal, €40,000 yearling, Oasis Dream gelding. Dam 5.3f/6f winner. Fifth of 9 in novice at Southwell (7.1f, 22/1) on debut 19 days ago. Uphill task. Only a modest fifth in 7f contest at Southwell. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
FAMILY KNIGHT clearly benefited from his debut experience at Kempton when finishing third at the same track earlier in the month after being ridden more positively. Both of those efforts would set the form standard and Richard Hughes' gelding is expected to shed the maiden tag. Sweet Couture is a player judged on her fourth at Kempton in September, while Nanny Park (fifth) is expected to confirm form with Pacifist (sixth) from their encounter last month.
FAMILY KNIGHT took a big step forward from his debut when beaten only by a couple of newcomers from perhaps the most powerful 2-y-o yards around at Kempton 2 weeks ago and looks the one to beat. Nanny Park, Sweet Couture and Pacifist all offered something to work on first-time up and are potential threats.
The shortlist is headed by NANNY PARK and Pacifist. The other main form contenders are Family Knight and Sweet Couture.

Gypsey's Secret |
(6) (12/1 -9%)12/1(-9%) | (6) Gypsey's Secret 12/1, Got off the mark aged 9 despite being 5 lb out of the handicap over this C&D (soft) in March. Followed that with a decent effort in defeat at Kelso the following month and she won't be without an each-way chance if fully tuned-up. C&D winner two runs back and latest defeat was over 2m6f around Kelso. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (8) (17/2 +29%) Glory Hights |
17/2(+29%) | (8) Glory Hights 17/2, Remains winless following 8 attempts over hurdles but was runner-up twice last season and closed that campaign off with respectable performances at Newcastle and Hexham. Should make his presence felt if ready to roll. Nine-race maiden whose placed efforts have come on soft or heavy ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (18/5 -60%) Keppel Queen |
18/5(-60%) | (2) Keppel Queen 18/5, Shaped well on third hurdles start in a Warwick maiden and bettered that when runner-up with cheekpieces back on for her recent handicap bow at Chepstow (23.6f, good to soft). Combination of the extra furlong and this stiff track are both positive factors where this 5-y-o is concerned. Big player. 2nd to an improver on h'cap debut and Benjamin Macey takes away 10lb this afternoon. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/1 -120%) Perculator |
11/1(-120%) | (3) Perculator 11/1, Returned to form with cheekpieces refitted when narrowly landing a 6-runner Wetherby handicap (21.2f, good) 18 days ago. However, she's up 4 lb and it's worth noting that she failed to build on her breakthrough success last season (also at Wetherby) in 4 subsequent starts during that campaign. 4lb rise for Wetherby (2m5f) is no big deal and he'll be fine over this longer distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (4/1 +20%) Adveram |
4/1(+20%) | (5) Adveram 4/1, Winless last term but proved consistent and deservedly opened his hurdles account on return at Ayr (19.5f, good to soft). 4 lb rise fair enough and moving back up in trip shouldn't be an issue, so he has to go on the shortlist. Yard also saddles Teddy Mac. Up only 4lb for 2m3f win at Ayr and has shown that he stays 3m. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (9/1 +10%) Wise Move |
9/1(+10%) | (1) Wise Move 9/1, Prolific winner in points and ran to a fair level first time up over hurdles when second in a maiden at Hexham in May. Has failed to build on that in 2 subsequent starts, though, including when tried in a hood (retained here) back at Hexham last month. Improvement needed now handicapping. Point winner who showed promise under rules before finding 2m too sharp a test latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (15/2 +70%) Don Brocco |
15/2(+70%) | (9) Don Brocco 15/2, Dual winner in this sphere back in 2022. 0-10 and more miss than hit over fences since and while he returns to hurdles on a feasible mark, others make more appeal all the same. More of a chaser and last season's best run was over 4m on heavy ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (5/2 +69%) Teddy Mac |
5/2(+69%) | (11) Teddy Mac 5/2, Produced by far his best effort yet on second start in handicap company when fourth of 10 at Ayr (24.3f, good to soft) last time. Beaten under 2 lengths there and live each-way chance off the same mark, provided he is able to build on that improved display. Having only his eighth race here and he was bang there over 3m at Ayr after a break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (28/1 +58%) Ideal De Romay |
28/1(+58%) | (12) Ideal De Romay 28/1, Irish point winner but he's 0-12 under Rules and looks up against once again from 7 lb out of the handicap. Ran a fair first race for this yard over fences; more needed though from out of weights. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (16/1 +52%) Jelski |
16/1(+52%) | (4) Jelski 16/1, Back-to-back winner over fences at Cartmel last summer (well handicapped in this sphere judged on those exploits) but it's been a struggle for the most part this year and he didn't shown back hurdling in a first-time visor (retained) at Hexham the other day. Ran a laboured race on his return to hurdles at Hexham when tried in a visor. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
KEPPEL QUEEN benefited for both stepping up in trip and the reapplication of cheekpieces when runner-up on her handicap bow at Chepstow earlier in the month. She is likely to have more to offer for a stable in fine form at present. Adveram went up 4lb for his first career success at Ayr and poses an obvious threat, while others to consider include Gypsey's Secret and Topkapi Star.
The one with the most attractive profile is KEPPEL QUEEN, who took a sizeable step forward on her recent handicap debut at Chepstow and there should be better to come from this unexposed 5-y-o. The Ian Duncan-trained duo Adveram and Teddy Mac may emerge as the main dangers, while Gypsey's Secret could also have a part to play if fit enough to do herself justice back from a seven-month break.
The winner was a sharp improver when KEPPEL QUEEN (nap) ran her best race yet on handicap debut at Chepstow and she can go one better.

1st (1) (10/1 -18%) Destinado |
10/1(-18%) | (1) Destinado 10/1, Prolific upon joining this yard earlier this year and left some recent poor efforts in his wake when winning 11-runner handicap at Southwell (12.1f) last week. Not seen to best effect at Wolverhampton since and is one for shortlist. Popped up at Southwell last week; better than bare result on Saturday; connections run 2. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (11/2 +21%) Swinging London |
11/2(+21%) | (8) Swinging London 11/2, Been given a chance by the assessor and arrives on back of solid placed efforts, latest when good second of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Southwell (12.1f) 12 days ago. Merits consideration. 0-21 on the Flat but comes here on the back of two good runs at Southwell; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/2 +45%) Fravanco |
11/2(+45%) | (5) Fravanco 11/2, Course winner. Latest win at Kempton in September. Respectable fifth of 11 in handicap at Windsor (11.4f, heavy, 8/1) 36 days ago. Not taken lightly. Cosy win at Kempton in September and ran okay on heavy latest; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (10) (10/1 +17%) Arch Legend |
10/1(+17%) | (10) Arch Legend 10/1, Fifth of 8 in handicap at Musselburgh (12.5f, good to soft, 12/1) 13 days ago. Must improve. Poor form since his AW win in May but the return to a Class 6 could help matters. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (25/1 +0%) Dubai Immo |
25/1(+0%) | (6) Dubai Immo 25/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in July. 80/1, respectable third of 7 in handicap at Kempton (11f) 13 days ago. Needs to build on that now. Two AW wins for another yard this year; fair run at Kempton back on AW latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (25/1 -25%) Torbellino |
25/1(-25%) | (3) Torbellino 25/1, Course winner. Latest win at Kempton in October. 4/1, creditable seventh of 12 in handicap at Kempton (12f) 15 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Not out of things. Cosy win at Kempton last month (1m4f) but could only manage a midfield finish there latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (7/1 -17%) Beau Vintage |
7/1(-17%) | (4) Beau Vintage 7/1, 7/2, below form 25 lengths eighth of 13 to Torbellino in handicap at Kempton (12f) 41 days ago. Claims on best form. Exposed maiden and ran poorly last time; was sent off favourite though; should bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (10/3 +63%) Fram Castle |
10/3(+63%) | (12) Fram Castle 10/3, 12/1, below form ninth of 16 in handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, good to soft) 43 days ago, slowly away. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. 0-9 but has shown some promise and this longer trip could be a positive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (12/1 +14%) Lost In Time |
12/1(+14%) | (9) Lost In Time 12/1, Course winner. Latest win at Yarmouth in October. Ninth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f, 11/1) 17 days ago. Others preferred. Dangerous mark and scored on slow turf last month; has the ability to feature. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (22/1 -144%) Dillydingdillydong |
22/1(-144%) | (7) Dillydingdillydong 22/1, Latest win at Wolverhampton in July. Seventh of 10 in handicap (9/2) at Wolverhampton (14f) 15 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Two 1m4f wins at Wolverhampton this year; sharper for recent return; connections run two. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (17/2 -70%) Delta Legend |
17/2(-70%) | (2) Delta Legend 17/2, Course winner who posted creditable third of 9 in handicap at Southwell (14.1f) on debut for new yard 22 days ago. Races off same mark here and holds solid claims. Two course wins over 1m; has 1m6f form but perhaps vulnerable to stronger stayers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (11) (28/1 -180%) Biznieta Power |
28/1(-180%) | (11) Biznieta Power 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 5 in novice at Chelmsford City (10f, 100/1) 24 days ago. Up in trip. Makes handicap debut. May well do better. First signs of promise at Chelmsford last month; up in trip for handicap debut; contender. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
FRAVANCO wasn't disgraced when fifth on testing ground at Windsor last month and the five-year-old makes plenty of appeal back on the all-weather following his Kempton success the time before off a 4lb lower mark. Delta Legend continues to run with plenty of credit and is expected to play a key role once again. Swinging London and Torbellino appeal most of the remainder.
SWINGING LONDON figures off a handy mark and has returned to form in recent starts. He gets the nod in a tricky-looking contest. Delta Legend and Destinado head the list of dangers.
This mark is within LOST IN TIME's range and he is just preferred in an open race. Swinging London and Arch Legend are feared.

1st (9) (17/2 -89%) Rut Daniels |
17/2(-89%) | (9) Rut Daniels 17/2, Thrice-raced maiden who showed a bit more than previously when fifth of 9 in minor event hurdle at Clonmel (19.2f, good to soft, 40/1) 12 days ago. Not taken lightly. Similar form in fifth in two maidens at Clonmel, possibly capable of getting into the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (3/1 +25%) Kaikoura |
3/1(+25%) | (5) Kaikoura 3/1, Well held in bumpers but better completed effort over hurdles when sixth of 17 in maiden at Gowran (16f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Only a four-year-old and may have more potential for progress than many of his rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (11) (9/1 +10%) Fire Force |
9/1(+10%) | (11) Fire Force 9/1, Shaped better than previously when fifth of 13 in novice hurdle at Fairyhouse (16f, good, 50/1) 14 days ago. Showed enough when fifth at Fairyhouse two weeks ago to suggest she could go well. |

18/1(-13%) | (2) Callmedusty 18/1, 40/1, first run since leaving Declan Queally when seventh of 11 in novice hurdle at Wexford (16.4f, heavy) 22 days ago. Tongue strap on for 1st time. Marginally better at Wexford on stable/seasonal debut, little appeal, tongue-tie may help. |

5th (12) (18/1 +28%) Positive Mindset |
18/1(+28%) | (12) Positive Mindset 18/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, ninth of 18 in maiden hurdle at this course (21f, good to soft, 66/1) 31 days ago, looking far from straightforward. Ordinary form so far, only minimal improvement last time with cheekpieces added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (7/1 +22%) Annamaymurt |
7/1(+22%) | (1) Annamaymurt 7/1, Ran to a modest level on hurdling debut but shaped with little promise when twelfth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Sligo (25.7f, soft) 25 days ago. Down in trip. Sixth in a 25-runner maiden at Naas in February, balance of his form in unconvincing. |

8/1(-191%) | (14) Spricklestown 8/1, 125/1, showed more than previously when fifth of 14 in novice hurdle at this course (16.3f, good to soft) 30 days ago. That form is just about the best on offer. Improved when dropped to 2m at this venue, official rating of 99 implies a good chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (2/1 +73%) Coffeys Forge |
2/1(+73%) | (3) Coffeys Forge 2/1, Modest maiden who was again let down by his jumping in first-time cheekpieces when ninth of 18 in handicap hurdle (12/1) at Punchestown (20.2f, good to soft) 4 days ago. Point winner, little impact on the track, down the field in a handicap last Friday. |

200/1(-100%) | (10) Celestrial Diamond 200/1, Well held in bumpers and was pulled up at Wexford (24f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 81 days ago. Soundly beaten in two bumpers last season, huge price when pulled up on hurdling debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
This is a weak contest, although Banbridge's sister SPRICKLESTOWN showed some promise here last month. Her initial form was poor and, being a sister to an albeit high-class good-ground specialist, might not want the ground to become soft, but she is rated 99 and receives 7lb from the geldings. She is also open to further progression, while the sixth-placed horse in her most recent run subsequently attained a placing. Kaikoura was beaten 26 lengths but showed some ability at Gowran recently and might progress. Coffeys Forge has been well beaten in recent handicap hurdles, but has winning point-to-point form.
A decidedly ordinary maiden but SPRICKLESTOWN showed more than previously when fifth of 14 at this course last month and, with the return to further sure to be in her favour, she's fancied to open her account. Rut Daniels and Kaikoura are a couple of others to consider.
A sister to the top-class Banbridge, SPRICKLESTOWN showed improvement at this venue last time and now appeals in a weak race

1st (1) (10/3 +5%) Boomslang |
10/3(+5%) | (1) Boomslang 10/3, Maiden hurdle winner who delivered an extremely polished round of jumping when successful on chase debut at Downpatrick (19.4f, good to soft) last month. Backed that up when close second at Newcastle (jumped right) and open to further improvement, particularly now back on a right-handed track. Proving better over fences than hurdles; on a career-high mark but one with a chance. |

2nd (9) (5/1 +64%) Raceview Road |
5/1(+64%) | (9) Raceview Road 5/1, Multiple Irish point winner who was placed in a bumper and couple of Newcastle novice hurdles prior to making a winning chase debut in handicap at Kelso (21.6f) in April. Decent in frame efforts there next 2 starts, including on return, but more needed to resuming ways. Won 2 Irish points; won on chase debut; fair run after a break latest; each-way chance. |

10/1(-25%) | (2) Sound And Fury 10/1, Built on last season's return when winning handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f) a year ago, rallying to lead again close home. Off since but should make a chaser (Irish point winner). Winning pointer; won h'cap hurdle last November; off since; interesting on chase debut. |

Boomslang is likely to appreciate going back right-handed based on his recent second at Newcastle, where jumping in that direction may well have cost him the race. The vote, though, goes to LADY IN THE PARK. The six-year-old shaped with a fair amount of promise when fourth behind Dream Boy on her chasing debut at Wetherby and the manner of that performance, along with a 3lb pull in the weights with that winner, suggested that going up in trip would bring the best out of her.
BOOMSLANG should have made it 2-2 over fences at Newcastle but gave away a bit too much ground with his jumping and can resume winning ways back at a right-handed track. Lady In The Park shaped very well when ½-length behind Dream Boy at Wetherby on her return and rates a big threat back up in trip.
In an open race the vote goes to MOTION IN LIMINE who was second on his last two starts and returns to action having had wind surgery.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
HITCHED bounce back to form in no uncertain terms when bolting up over C&D last week. Stall 12 should not be an issue given that he is usually held up in his races and, although the penalty will ask more questions of him, this looks another winnable opportunity. There was plenty to like about Wadacre Tivoli's recent Kempton second and, with few miles on the clock, she is a live candidate. H Key Lails would not be winning out of turn having filled the runner-up spot at Chelmsford the last twice.
HITCHED produced a career best to resume winning ways in decisive fashion over C&D last week and looks capable of defying a penalty. H Key Lails has been knocking on the door of late and is next best ahead of Devasboy, who has made an interesting stable switch.
The manner of his C&D win suggests HITCHED (nap) is well up to defying a 5lb penalty. Molly Valentine is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
BALKO D'ANGE has shown mostly consistent form and might be sharper than when beaten on reappearance at Wexford last month. Fourth at Listed level last March, he will appreciate softening ground and can continue to progress. Artic Lane has been tremendously expensive to follow since a really promising run at Leopardstown last Christmas, but nonetheless has shown nice form. He unseated on his hurdling debut at Sligo last month, but has winning point-to-point form and will also like softening ground. Marcus Furius has been running well, although possibly needs to improve to win. Faceman ran OK on his recent hurdling debut, but was beaten 10 lengths by Artic Lane at Listowel in September and is 7lb worse off.
COTTESLOE SUNSHINE holds much the best form on show so is fancied to get off the mark and continue the good recent run of Joseph O'Brien. Balko d'Ange and Marcus Furius appeals as the pick of the remainder and can chase home the selection in that order.
Placed on all three starts, MARCUS FURIUS gets the vote with to cope with obvious dangers Balko D'Ange and Cottesloe Sunshine

3rd (5) (11/10 +37%) Sanitiser |
11/10(+37%) | (5) Sanitiser 11/10, A fairly useful handicapper on the Flat and he readily opened his hurdling account in 5-runner handicap at Kempton (2m) 8 days ago. Escapes a penalty for that success so holds leading claims. Unpenalised for winning conditional jockeys' contest at Kempton last week; good chance. |

10/1(-122%) | (2) Magistrato 10/1, Sored at Newton Abbot in July and in good form since, second of 8 in handicap chase at Aintree (15.8f, good) 10 days ago. Much respected back over hurdles. Chase winner in July and second at Aintree ten days ago; has share of weight back hurdling. |

|PU| (4) (8/1 -129%) River Gold |
8/1(-129%) | (4) River Gold 8/1, On the up for his current yard, scoring over fences at Fakenham and second of 12 in handicap chase at Hereford (16f, good) 15 days ago. Interesting back in this sphere. Winning chase debut here last month; good 2nd since; returns to hurdles off 3lb lower. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Olly Murphy's yard remains in fine form and FOR PLEASURE looks to have solid claims after finishing fourth at Plumpton. Likely to improve on this second start after wind surgery, the front-runner may prove difficult to beat if allowed to set his own pace at the head of affairs. Magistrato has been in the mix over fences lately, including a respectable second at Aintree last time, and reverts to hurdling with every chance, while Sanitiser escapes a penalty for winning a conditionals race at Kempton and is not easily dismissed.
SANITISER got off the mark in this sphere in good style at Kempton last week and is hard to oppose given he can race off the same mark here. River Gold has thrived for the move to James Owen and should ensure the selection doesn't have things all his own way, with For Pleasure and Magistrato also not without hope.
River Gold can go well off her lower hurdle mark but SANITISER goes unpenalised for his Kempton win last week and can follow up.

250/1(-67%) | (3) Gatsby Blue 250/1, Well beaten in 2 novice hurdles (tongue tied at Ayr latest). Offered little so far and needs to find considerable improvement for this step up in trip.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Ira Hayes left behind his Rules debut effort at Listowel when getting off the mark in a Wexford bumper and is likely to prove popular on his first attempt over timber. However, the form of that contest doesn't appear to be particularly strong and MONTY BODKIN might be the one. The five-year-old bounced back from a below-par display when scoring at Doncaster in March and now debuts for a stable that have run some of their better prospects at this venue. Dazzlelikethis and Orkney Blue appeal most of the remainder.
IRA HAYES created a good impression when landing a bumper at Wexford recently and should have a good future over jumps. He gets the vote over the similarly promising Monty Bodkin, who won a Doncaster bumper for Ben Pauling when last seen in February. Orkney Blue also starts out for a new yard and boasts plenty of potential.
With little in the way of worthwhile hurdle form on offer, bumper winners Monty Bodkin and IRA HAYES are the two who appeal most.

66/1(-65%) | (10) Throne Hall 66/1, 50/1, last of 11 in handicap at Nottingham (10.2f, heavy) 13 days ago. Out of sorts on his last four starts and yet to win on AW; others preferred.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
CON TE PARTIRO made it five wins from 11 career starts when on target over C&D in September and the progressive three-year-old may have what it takes to defy a further 5lb rise in the handicap. Oman bolted up at Yarmouth last month and is still well treated, despite a hefty 9lb hike. Silver Nightfall remains on good terms with herself and she could also have a say.
WARREN HILL won well in a division of this last year and she could be set for a bold show after a pleasing-enough return after 2 months off at Wolverhampton. The prolific Con Te Partiro and Silver Nightfall are solid threats.
The fitting of a visor has seen Silver Nightfall (second choice) hit form but CON TE PARTIRO looks more progressive.

20/1(-150%) | (1) Diamond Nora 20/1, Lightly-raced winner over hurdles. Successful at Ballinrobe in April. 22/1, eighth of 9 in minor event in this sphere at Wexford (17f, good to soft) 174 days ago. Makes handicap hurdle debut. Others preferred. Made all to win a maiden at Ballinrobe in April, poor run when raised in class at Wexford. |

2nd (2) (9/4 +36%) Jeaniemacaroney |
9/4(+36%) | (2) Jeaniemacaroney 9/4, Winner at Roscommon in July. 11/2, respectable fifth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Listowel (16f, soft) 54 days ago. Will need to raise her game if she's to emerge on top here. Useful dual-purpose filly, was taking on much stronger opposition at Listowel last time. |

3rd (9) (13/2 +19%) Mayos Vendangeur |
13/2(+19%) | (9) Mayos Vendangeur 13/2, 15/2, creditable sixth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Gowran (16f, good to soft) 46 days ago. 0-10 overall and may again find one or two too good. Yet to reach the first three but not beaten far on last two starts, stable in form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (7/1 -110%) Pachmena |
7/1(-110%) | (4) Pachmena 7/1, Lightly-raced maiden over hurdles. Fair winner at 14f on the Flat. 25/1, bit below form eighth of 16 in handicap at Galway (11.8f, heavy) 22 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Shortlist material. Not a frequent winner on Flat but often placed, lightly raced over hurdles, place chance. |

11/1(+31%) | (7) Red Trail 11/1, Below form eighth of 20 in handicap (9/1) at Leopardstown (10f, heavy) 30 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Pulled up on last hurdle run and she has work to do. Four-time Flat winner with a marked preference for soft ground, unconvincing hurdles form. |

7th (3) (8/1 -45%) Katherine |
8/1(-45%) | (3) Katherine 8/1, Latest win in hurdle at Fairyhouse in October. 250/1, seventh of 19 in maiden at the Curragh (12f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles. 9 lb rise for aforementioned Fairyhouse success could be enough to anchor her. Latest run was on Flat, up an aggregate 16lb for two wins but can remain competitive. |

8th (8) (9/2 +40%) Sayitfirst |
9/2(+40%) | (8) Sayitfirst 9/2, Latest win in hurdle at Roscommon in September. Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (15.5f, good to soft, 8/1) 4 days ago. Looks competitive on form. Unplaced at Punchestown last Friday, decent overall form in recent months;. |

9th (5) (15/2 +6%) Mag Dillane |
15/2(+6%) | (5) Mag Dillane 15/2, C&D winner. 16/1, bit below form eleventh of 20 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Yard in good form and she's in with an each-way shout. Heavy ground C&D maiden winner in January, has also run well here on good, respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PACHMENA is a busy Flat performer who reverts to hurdling and appears nicely handicapped under a 5lb claimer. She has had 52 runs on the level, winning three races, and has raced just five times over hurdles, but her fourth-placing at Tramore in August reads very well as the winner and third have since greatly improved their ratings, while the fifth also won subsequently. Jeaniemacaroney finished a useful fifth in the Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel in September and, being ground-versatile, should again compete well. Red Trail's previous hurdling form is ordinary, but she has a favourable enough rating as has been running well on the Flat.
A winner on the Flat at the Curragh last month, PACHMENA is taken to open her hurdles account at the sixth attempt. Sayitfirst has held her form well since scoring at Roscommon in September and she is next on the list ahead of Mag Dillane and Mayos Vendangeur.
After being brought down in a chase, KATHERINE has had a confidence-boosting run on the Flat and may complete a hurdles hat-trick

4/1(+11%) | (4) Little Talks 4/1, Remains a maiden following 11 starts. Mark is feasible and, while she ran no sort of race at Fontwell last time, she may come on for it. Made the frame in all four starts at this track; tailed off latest; could revive back here. |

125/1(-213%) | (5) Porridge 125/1, Fourth on sole outing in points but has yet to show any ability under Rules. Switches to handicaps now. Very modest hurdle form; goes handicapping off rock-bottom mark but way out of the weights. |

5th (2) (18/1 -157%) Jay Bee Whiskey |
18/1(-157%) | (2) Jay Bee Whiskey 18/1, Multiple point winner who has only showed modest form under Rules so far. Could offer more now handicapping, so not a forlorn hope. Multiple point winner; finished remote in sole hurdle completion; handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
LASER FOCUS won a conditionals hurdle at Huntingdon a week ago with any amount in hand. Unpenalised for that success, the six-year-old will likely start a warm order to land a quick double before the handicapper has his say. Little Talks finished third over course and distance during the summer and can make her presence felt with the likely fast ground in her favour, while Bahtiyar may fare better in this lower grade.
LASER FOCUS had plenty in hand at Huntingdon a week ago and, from the same mark, he should make no mistake in a weak event. Little Talks might be the likeliest to capitalise if the selection underperforms.
This should be a shoo-in for LASER FOCUS who goes unpenalised for his win at Huntingdon last Tuesday. Next best is Little Talks.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Dual bumper winner Dedicated Hero make considerable appeal now sent over hurdles, but it was hard not to be impressed by the manner in which KEVIN'S PRIDE won at Kilbeggan on debut. John McConnell's five-year-old has been given some time off since that triumph and appears to have been found a fine opportunity now tackling obstacles for the first time. Aboutdamntime's most recent start in the pointing sphere has worked out well so he must be of some interest too.
KEVIN'S PRIDE ran out of an impressive winner of a Kilbeggan bumper on his debut in August and is bred to be suited by this longer trip now going hurdling, so he's fancied to maintain his unbeaten record. Dedicated Hero is also an interesting recruit to this sphere based on his bumper exploits and is an obvious threat, with Rules-debutant Aboutdamntime another to note.
The suggestion is KEVIN'S PRIDE, who won easily at Kilbeggan and looks a likely type for hurdles.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Up The Jazz escapes a penalty having landed an apprentice handicap over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton recently and he's a player once again, but the vote goes to ISLAND BANDIT. Narrowly denied at Dunstall Park having raced wider than ideal entering the home straight, compensation could await from a 3lb higher mark. Others to note include Charmaine and Charlie's Choice.
CHARMAINE stayed on strongly to score at Kempton 2 months ago and can do better again now handicapping. She gets the vote over Island Bandit and recent Wolverhampton 1-2 Up The Jazz and Charlie's Choice.
Bold Ribb is interesting on his C&D win last autumn but CHARMAINE looks good for further improvement following her Kempton win.

WILLYWAMPUS has yet to show much over hurdles but progressed to be a useful chaser last season and is worth another try in this sphere, where he is rated 25lb lower. Flat-bred and a compact size, he should be suited by hurdles and while he reappears following a 212-day layoff, his rider claims 7lb. Four-time winner Good Bye Milan returned to form in winning at Gowran last month and although raised 7lb, should again figure as she has been placed from similar ratings in the past. No Big Deal showed some promise, despite hanging left, at Naas in April but disappointed when again edging left on the Flat at Navan subsequently and returns from a break.
Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and GOOD BYE MILAN is fancied to make light of a 7 lb rise for her Gowran victory at the chief expense of the handily-weighted Destivelle. Inchiquin Maid and No Big Deal can also have a say.
A chance is taken on INCHIQUIN MAID. She ran well on the Flat at Dundalk on Friday and a repeat of her Wexford second might be enough.

CLUAIN AODHA finished an admirable third at Uttoxeter on her chasing debut considering that was her first outing of the year. There should be plenty more to come from Neil King's mare over the larger obstacles and a bold bid is anticipated. Our Bill's Aunt ran well for third at Huntingdon back in May and is another with scope over fences, while Micronormous is potentially well treated on her chasing bow based on a placed effort over hurdles at Worcester in September.
CLUAIN AODHA made a promising start over fences after an absence when third at Uttoxeter and looks the one to beat off the same mark. Our Bill's Aunt has also taken well to chasing and is feared most.
Our Bill's Aunt will likely run her race but a chance is taken on CLUAIN AODHA building on last month's promising chase debut.

11/8(+39%) | (2) Flic Ou Voyou 11/8, Gained some reward for some solid efforts when making all with a likeable display at Newcastle last time. Should give another good account from the front. Off the mark for present yard last time (2nd runs in 12.30); chance off 2lb higher mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/2 -25%) Marown |
5/2(-25%) | (1) Marown 5/2, Hasn't won since his novice days but generally held form last season. Returns on a good mark and capable of going well fresh, so worth chancing. Last win was in 2021; on a career-low mark, shorter trip a slight concern but a contender. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (7/2 +36%) Envious Editor |
7/2(+36%) | (3) Envious Editor 7/2, Back to winning ways at Stratford in May and has acquitted himself well in defeat since. Should give his running again. Stratford winner in May; not at his best last two starts but on a good mark now. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (5/1 +80%) Ladronne |
5/1(+80%) | (5) Ladronne 5/1, Fair handicap chaser who regained the winning thread off 2 lb higher at Doncaster (3m, soft) in March. Hasn't fired since, though. Five-time chase winner; below form since second in March and best watched at present. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
FLIC OU VOYOU gained a well-deserved victory at Newcastle recently and, pitched into a veterans' contest for the first time, a 2lb rise ought to be no barrier to further success. It's been a while since the returning Marown last got his head in front, although he won't be far away, while Envious Editor faced a stiff task behind Arkle contender L'Eau Du Sud at Stratford last time out and has less on his plate here.
MAROWN is a long time without a win but has run well fresh in the past, so he gets the marginal vote over Flic Ou Voyou, who scored at Newcastle last time. Cornerstone Lad is also considered.
This vote goes to the well-handicapped MAROWN to win his first race since 2021 despite this trip being on the short side.

1st (10) (9/1 +25%) Five Winds |
9/1(+25%) | (10) Five Winds 9/1, Seventh of 10 in handicap (11/1) at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 15 days ago, not ideally placed. Others more persuasive. Broke duck over 6f on turf in June; has C&D form since but lesser runs of late. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (9/1 +10%) Whenthedealinsdone |
9/1(+10%) | (7) Whenthedealinsdone 9/1, Twenty one runs since last win in 2022. 10/1, respectable sixth of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f) 19 days ago. Well handicapped on 6f form here and on Tapeta in the spring; of interest returned to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (17/2 +39%) Monsieur Beaulieu |
17/2(+39%) | (8) Monsieur Beaulieu 17/2, Fair performer in France, dual winner over 5f at Vichy. Off 4 months and 33/1, seventh of 11 in handicap at Newmarket (5f, good to soft) on UK debut 18 days ago. Could build on that and one to note under James Doyle. Two 5f turf wins in France; stays 6f but switches to AW late in life and drawn wide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/1 -100%) Bluebells Boy |
9/1(-100%) | (3) Bluebells Boy 9/1, C&D winner. Career best when winning 10-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (6f, 10/3) 24 days ago, driven clear. 6 lb higher now but seems sure to go well again. Winless in 2023 but now won 4 of his last 5; up 6lb and in grade; may yet do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (7/1 +22%) Tyger Bay |
7/1(+22%) | (2) Tyger Bay 7/1, 3-time C&D winner. 11/2, seventh of 11 in handicap at Kempton (6f) 20 days ago. Three C&D wins; on manageable mark now and things didn't go his way back on AW latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (9/2 -13%) Princess Shabnam |
9/2(-13%) | (1) Princess Shabnam 9/2, Twenty two runs since last win in 2022. 9/4, creditable third of 6 in handicap at Chelmsford City (6f) 12 days ago. Sole AW win in 2022; running well off much-reduced mark; headgear discarded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (11/2 +0%) Classy Clarets |
11/2(+0%) | (11) Classy Clarets 11/2, Well-backed 5/1, good second of 11 in handicap at Kempton (6f) 13 days ago. Still seeking first win. Maiden; back in better form over 6f at Kempton recently; this looks a tough call. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (33/1 -32%) Spanish Star |
33/1(-32%) | (5) Spanish Star 33/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. Seventh of 11 in handicap at Kempton (7f, 50/1) 15 days ago. Fairly low key since good 6f return on turf and no good thing to improve on 0-8 AW record. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (5/1 +23%) Epic Express |
5/1(+23%) | (9) Epic Express 5/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Chelmsford City in October. 10/3, eighth of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f) 19 days ago, fading. Shortlist material back over 6f. Still below winning C&D mark in March despite 6f AW win last month; this looks tough. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (17/2 +0%) Harry Brown |
17/2(+0%) | (4) Harry Brown 17/2, C&D winner. Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. Last of 7 in handicap (9/1) at Sandown (5f, soft) 67 days ago. Below best for new yard but well treated on C&D wins in 2022 and AW form early this year. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The progressive BLUEBELLS BOY has won four of his last five outings and, given the ease of his latest success at Chelmsford, Darryll Holland's sprinter may well defy a 6lb rise. Princess Shabnam last won way back in 2022, but is not easily discounted off her current mark on the back of a third at Chelmsford. Classy Clarets is another to take seriously.
BLUEBELLS BOY is thriving and can win again. Epic Express is a danger back at 6f, while Monsieur Beaulieu is interesting under James Doyle following his first run in the UK at Newmarket.
Whenthedealinsdone is respected but BLUEBELLS BOY looked good at Chelmsford and may be able to defy a rise in grade and the weights

Pulled up on last hurdle outing. Flat winner is 0-4 over timber, pulled up on last start in this sphere, rain a concern. |

|DQ| (11) (11/1 +50%) Restless Son |
11/1(+50%) | (11) Restless Son 11/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 20/1, eleventh of 15 in handicap hurdle at Naas (16f, soft). Off 11 months. Well-beaten in maidens and on handicap debut latest, needs more after layoff to figure. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
JACK HOLIDAY may be able to make use of his lower mark over hurdles. The Jeremy gelding has done well since joining David Christie, with two wins over fences seeing his mark rise 17lb. He is now 22lb lower over timber and this is an easier task than he faced at Aintree last time. Romella has been knocking on the door, with two solid runner-up efforts, and she has to be respected. She's On Line ran well when second at Tramore last time and is another for the shortlist.
Fair chaser JACK HOLIDAY is potentially well treated on his belated return to hurdles so could be worth chancing. The improving She's On Line is next best ahead of the in-form Romella.
SHE'S ON LINE looks the most solid option. She ran well at Tramore last time and this looks a good chance for her to get her first win.

5/4(+58%) | (2) Harthope 5/4, Jack Hobbs filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including fairly useful staying hurdler As I See It and fairly useful 2½m hurdle winner Trull La La. Dam (h144), 2m-21f hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 2½m) Down In Neworleans. Plenty to like on paper. 9/2(+31%) | (4) Ninna Collina 9/2, Jack Hobbs filly. Half-sister to numerous winners, including useful hurdler/chaser Jacks Last Hope and fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Ballycross, stayed 3¼m. Bred more for stamina than speed. Yard yet to have a hurdles winner this term but dead-heated at Wolverhampton on Saturday.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
A half-sister to recent bumper winner Fresh Perspective, BLOSSOM TEA may be able to follow suit on his Rules debut for connections that know what it takes when it comes to juvenile hurdlers. By a sire in Sea The Moon that has had success over the sticks in recent years, Madame Luna could go close for shrewd connections, while Harthope is another to monitor for market support.
MADAME LUNA hails from a rapidly-progressive yard and is taken to make a winning start. Bloosom Tea is second choice before market clues.
It would be a surprise if Harry Derham's filly MADAME LUNA was not ready to win first time out. Blossom Tea is second choice.

Looks the one to beat. 60,000euros buy after showing promise in two Irish points; interesting on hurdles debut. |

2nd (7) (4/1 +0%) Koukeo |
4/1(+0%) | (7) Koukeo 4/1, From quite a good French family and showed more than on debut when second in a bumper at Chepstow last time. Should take to hurdling, so not a forlorn hope. Creditable 2nd latest bumper start; chance in an ordinary race on hurdles debut. |

Second in an Irish point; fair fourth at Kelso on hurdles/stable debut; should improve. |

4th (8) (14/1 +44%) Malfoy Manor |
14/1(+44%) | (8) Malfoy Manor 14/1, Runner-up in a point but hasn't shown a great deal under Rules as yet, looking more of a long-term project. Others more persuasive. Runner-up in a decent Irish point; bought for £100,000; bit disappointing for new yard. |

5th (9) (4/1 +33%) Prince Of Perth |
4/1(+33%) | (9) Prince Of Perth 4/1, Shaped like a stayer on his sole outing in bumpers and similar story so far over hurdles. This stiffer test is in his favour and he may feature. Fair form in two bumpers and in a novice hurdle after 660-day break; should improve. |

6th (10) (66/1 0%) Sam's Falcon |
66/1(0%) | (10) Sam's Falcon 66/1, Down the field in a bumper and, while there was a glimmer of promise in a novice over C&D on hurdling debut, he's more one for low-grade handicaps. Well beaten in two bumpers; marked improvement needed now going over hurdles. |

7th (13) (150/1 -50%) Lizzie Luna |
150/1(-50%) | (13) Lizzie Luna 150/1, Better than result first two starts in bumpers but failed to build on that encouragement last time. Likely to be brought along gradually as a hurdler. Modest form in three bumpers and needs to improve now going over hurdles.. |

8th (12) (11/1 +8%) Winchmore Hill |
11/1(+8%) | (12) Winchmore Hill 11/1, Runner-up sole start in points back in March 2022 and looked in need of outing when sixth of 8 in novice hurdle at Kelso (20.9f, soft, 9/2) on NH debut 8 months ago. Should do better. £150,000 buy after Irish point 2nd; off for 714 days; should improve on hurdles debut run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (15/2 -50%) Broderick |
15/2(-50%) | (4) Broderick 15/2, Mid-field both starts in Irish bumpers for Declan Queally during the spring but more encouragement on debut for this yard when third in novice at Sedgefield a fortnight ago. Will have learned from that and could make his presence felt. Some promise in bumpers and when third on hurdles debut; track should suit; a possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (14) (66/1 -65%) Uokhun |
66/1(-65%) | (14) Uokhun 66/1, Arcadio mare who is bred to stay well and shaped with some encouragement when fourth of 11 in bumper at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) in March 2023. Limited promise in two hurdling outings subsequently, though. Promising fourth in a bumper on debut but two ordinary efforts over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (28/1 -40%) Balcomie Breeze |
28/1(-40%) | (1) Balcomie Breeze 28/1, Placed in bumpers but has looked in need of experience so far over hurdles. Others more persuasive. Fair form in bumpers in early 2023; then off for 570 days; well beaten over hurdles since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (250/1 -150%) Swashbuckler |
250/1(-150%) | (11) Swashbuckler 250/1, Fairly useful maiden at best on Flat (stays 1¼m). Bought cheaply on the back of 3 disappointing Flat runs for Tom Lacey and not much to shout about over hurdles for present yard. Became disappointing on the Flat and hasn't shown much over hurdles; not an obvious one. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
This might not be the deepest of novice hurdles and KOUKEO is fancied to come out on top. The O'Neills' four-year-old couldn't get involved in the Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival on debut before finding one too strong at Chepstow when starting out for his current team. The yard is in good form and the switch to hurdles looks certain to unlock improvement. Others to note include Epic West, Broderick and Bridge Court.
EPIC WEST has joined a good yard on the back of a point win in March and he's been found what appears an ideal starting point here, so he's fancied to make a successful Rules debut. Broderick can trouble him if improving from his hurdling debut and Prince of Perth should up his game facing a slightly stiffer test.
The lightly raced KOUKEO is taken to get off the mark on his jumps debut after his good second in a Chepstow bumper last month.

5/2(+17%) | (3) Elegant Call 5/2, Much improved when runner-up at York (6f) on final start last year and posted solid third of 8 in novice at Ripon (6f) when last seen in June. Since joined new yard and warrants respect on polytrack debut. Four-race maiden whose turf form (for Tim Easterby) has substance; likely player. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
The betting suggested SECOND NAME would run a big race on last month's belated racecourse introduction and the son of Exceed And Excel duly landed the odds at Wolverhampton, despite showing signs of inexperience. Roger Varian's charge will know more now and is taken to defy a penalty. Placed at York and Ripon on her last couple of outings, Elegant Call debuts for a new yard and should have the measure of both Big Time Rascal and Rebel Star on these terms.
SECOND NAME boasts a smart pedigree and got off the mark at the first time of asking at Wolverhampton last month. With improvement likely, he should take the beating here. Elegant Call looks the obvious danger.
Promising SECOND NAME is taken to defy a penalty for his Wolverhampton win. Elegant Call is feared most.

80/1(-220%) | (15) Like A Bumblebee 80/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 200/1, eighth of 9 in minor event hurdle at Clonmel (19.2f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Makes handicap hurdle debut. RESERVE. Huge odds and well beaten in maidens, hard to fancy on handicap bow; reserve. |

11th (11) (10/1 +50%) Cosmic Rock |
10/1(+50%) | (11) Cosmic Rock 10/1, Course winner. 17/2, ninth of 13 in handicap hurdle at this course (19.4f, good to soft) 30 days ago. Course winner over 2m, no win since 2021, course form a plus, can't discount. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LAKE CHAD has been in fine form over fences and looks interesting here now off an 11lb lower mark over timber. The grey won over hurdles here a few years back and is a generally consistent performer. He is versatile ground-wise so the forecast rain wouldn't be a major worry. Onefortheditch is another who has been holding her form well and looks a potential danger. The Shirocco mare ran well at Wexford last time when chasing home the unexposed Duke Silver. Hees Dynamite won at a lower grade here on his penultimate start and is another for the shortlist.
ONEFORTHEDITCH continues to go the right way and could resume winning ways. Duke Otto and Buck Rogers are a couple of others to consider.
MALINAS GLORY has run well here before, he handles an ease and this 7lb claimer was on board for his sole point-to-point victory.

1st (4) (8/13 +55%) Secret Des Dieux |
8/13(+55%) | (4) Secret Des Dieux 8/13, Fair form in bumpers and showed promise without ever getting involved on hurdles bow at Huntingdon (20.7f) in May, ridden to get him settled. This sharper test will suit better and he can improve 6 months on for hot stable. Appeared not to stay the 2m4f on hurdle debut but better can be expected back at 2m.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/4 +31%) Gordon Grey |
11/4(+31%) | (1) Gordon Grey 11/4, Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 12.5f), won at Pontefract and Epsom this year. Excuses both starts over hurdles and could do better up in trip now. Early casualty over C&D last month but he's entitled to respect given his Flat ability.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (50/1 +0%) Order Of Progress |
50/1(+0%) | (6) Order Of Progress 50/1, Took a keen hold and tailed off in well-contested 3-y-o Newbury bumper last Christmas for Tom Lacey. Third in a point in April. Form of her third in a British point doesn't amount to much; makes stable/hurdle debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (14/1 +65%) Malinheadsearovers |
14/1(+65%) | (2) Malinheadsearovers 14/1, Regressive maiden on the Flat and well held in 2 runs over hurdles in the last month. Disappointing Flat maiden who has failed to get competitive in two starts over hurdles.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (16/1 -167%) Milan Milos |
16/1(-167%) | (3) Milan Milos 16/1, Has shown a bit in bumpers and starts out over hurdles up in trip for new yard (£4,000 buy) in thin contest. Might find a couple too strong on hurdle/stable debut but he'd shown ability in bumpers.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (10/1 +29%) Wingmann |
10/1(+29%) | (5) Wingmann 10/1, Has shaped like a stayer in a couple of bumpers 4 months apart (tongue tied at Warwick latest). Might need more time/even further now jumping. Bettered bumper debut fitted with a tongue-tie latest but more required on hurdle debut.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SECRET DES DIEUX didn't show much on his hurdles debut at Huntingdon in May, but he is better judged on a career-best effort when second in a Uttoxeter bumper over this distance on his penultimate outing. The form of his stable is a big plus and he can get off the mark at the main expense of Gordon Grey, who has done well on the Flat this year. Now in the hands of new connections, Milan Milos is another to consider.
SECRET DES DIEUX offered a fair bit of encouragement first time up over hurdles at Huntingdon in May and looks the way to go. Gordon Grey might be capable of better than he's shown so far in this sphere given his Flat ability and he could be the most appealing alternative.
Gordon Grey should make an impact over hurdles given his Flat ability but preference is for SECRET DES DIEUX back in distance.

1st (1) (9/4 -20%) Walk On Quest |
9/4(-20%) | (1) Walk On Quest 9/4, Posted a career best when winning 11-runner handicap chase at Kelso (17.1f, good to soft) on his debut over fences 24 days ago. More to offer so he's expected to be bang there despite a 5 lb weights rise. Stayed on to win on chase debut at Kelso (2m1f) latest; up 5lb; should be more to come.. |

2nd (6) (9/1 -80%) Fearless Action |
9/1(-80%) | (6) Fearless Action 9/1, Scored at Kelso last October and had a wind op before recording a creditable second of 7 to Treaty Boy in handicap chase at Catterick (15.7f, soft). Off 9 months since but still needs considering. 2m1f chase winner (soft); reasonable record when fresh; each-way player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (9/2 +50%) Treaty Boy |
9/2(+50%) | (3) Treaty Boy 9/2, Made a winning chase debut at Catterick in February on final run for Rebecca Menzies. Good second on yard debut there later that month but not in the same form in a pair of runs this term at Sedgefield and Carlisle. Needs to step forward. Catterick chase winner; below par last two starts; drop in grade may help; bit to prove.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (4/1 +47%) Tommy Combats |
4/1(+47%) | (4) Tommy Combats 4/1, Placed in Irish points and going the right way over hurdles, second of 12 in handicap at Perth (2m4f) in April. Can make his presence felt now starting out over fences. Back down in trip and up 3lb for chase debut but he is open to improvement in this sphere.. |

5th (10) (9/1 +25%) Getaway Jewel |
9/1(+25%) | (10) Getaway Jewel 9/1, Twelve runs since his last win in 2023 but he posted a creditable fifth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Newcastle (16.9f, good) 19 days ago. In the picture back over fences. Not disgraced over hurdles latest; handy mark for return to chasing and not written off.. |

Much respected now going chasing with the headgear again sported. Bumper and hurdle winner; more needed up 4lb in a handicap on his belated chase debut.. |

16/1(+36%) | (9) Titanium Bullet 16/1, Remains a maiden after 16 runs and last of 6 in handicap hurdle at Wetherby (21.2f, good, 22/1) 18 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Placed over fences; handy mark; tongue-tie accompanies cheekpieces; not written off.. |

|PU| (5) (28/1 -100%) Conquer The Breeze |
28/1(-100%) | (5) Conquer The Breeze 28/1, A fair maiden hurdler but he fell on his chasing bow and was pulled up in handicap chase at Hexham (15.6f, good) 149 days ago. Something to prove now. Showed promise in a Hexham hurdle; failed to complete in two chases; plenty to prove.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (50/1 -213%) Ritson |
50/1(-213%) | (7) Ritson 50/1, Badly out of sorts over fences since scoring on Boxing Day in 2022 and no real signs of a revival back over hurdles in May for Rebecca Menzies. Needs this yard switch to spark a resurgence. 1-10 over fences; out of sorts in the spring; best watched on his first start since.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A taking winner on his chase debut at Kelso last month, WALK ON QUEST is likely to have plenty more improvement off 5lb higher and dropping slightly in trip should not inconvenience either. Wind surgery seemed to have a positive effect on Fearless Action when runner-up at Catterick in February and he is a player on his return. Treaty Boy and Tommy Combats enter the equation too.
WALK ON QUEST got off to the perfect start over fences at Kelso and a 5 lb rise in the weights doesn't look sufficient to prevent him from following up. Chasing-newcomer Tommy Combats brings a fair bit of potential and could emerge as the chief danger ahead of Getaway Jewel and Geordies Dream.
With respect to bumper and hurdle winner Geordies Dream, this looks a good chance for WALK ON QUEST to make it 2-2 over fences.

10/1(-100%) | (6) My Mate Mike 10/1, C&D winner. Below par at Wolverhampton (6.1f) when last seen in August but had recorded 3 wins over this sort of trip previously and warrants respect. Unsuited by 6f when last seen; successful in three of his last four attempts over 7f. |

11/1(-10%) | (3) Hiatus 11/1, Latest win at Chepstow in May. 9/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at Kempton (6f) 36 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Others preferred. Bits of C&D form early in career but is best known as a 6f handicapper. |

9/2(+36%) | (2) Tahitian Prince 9/2, 7/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at Kempton (11f) 13 days ago. Significantly back down in trip. Not out of things. On a handy mark but isn't crying out for this sharp drop back in distance. |

7th (7) (4/1 +43%) Buy The Dip |
4/1(+43%) | (7) Buy The Dip 4/1, Course winner. Latest win here in June. Bit below form seventh of 14 in handicap at Newmarket (8f, good to soft, 5/1) 18 days ago, not ideally placed. Merits consideration. Form dipped last time but is normally consistent and could well rebound. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (4/1 +60%) Conquest Of Power |
4/1(+60%) | (9) Conquest Of Power 4/1, C&D winner. 3 wins from 17 runs this year. Sixth of 9 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, heavy, 22/1) 10 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Return to AW may have positive effect; successful in last two attempts in this sphere. |

9th (4) (33/1 -136%) Shot Of Love |
33/1(-136%) | (4) Shot Of Love 33/1, Bit below form sixth of 11 in handicap (10/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 77 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Michael Appleby. Work to do. Three wins for Mick Appleby; sold for 6,000gns since last run; market helpful. |

10th (8) (11/2 -65%) Professor Tickle |
11/2(-65%) | (8) Professor Tickle 11/2, Course winner who returned to form, back from 3 months off, when third of 12 in handicap (6/1) here (6f, AW) 6 days ago. Can race off same mark and is one for shortlist. Recorded his highest RPRs in two attempts at Lingfield, both over 6f, latest six days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (5) (50/1 -25%) Night Arc |
50/1(-25%) | (5) Night Arc 50/1, Eighth of 11 in handicap at Kempton (7f, 150/1) 15 days ago. Others more convincing. Inconsistent record on AW and has posed no threat in two runs for new stable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MY MATE MIKE was upped in class over 6f at Wolverhampton last time and failed to get involved. However, Dean Ivory's inmate landed a double over this distance before that and he gets another chance in this lower grade. Professor Tickle also steps up in trip with solid claims on the back of a placed effort over 6f at this venue. Buy The Dip won on the turf track here during the summer and could also land a blow.
Preference is for PROFESSOR TICKLE, who won at this course off a 2 lb higher mark in December and got back to that sort of form here last week. My Mate Mike and City Cyclone should also go well.
The Lingfield factor puts PROFESSOR TICKLE at the top of the list. Charlie Mason is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
TRUE DESTINY may be able to bag a deserved victory after a couple of good runner-up efforts. The Mastercraftsman gelding was a solid second at Sligo last time having also had to play second fiddle on his previous run here. Going a bit further now could make the difference. Mr Mcwhinny was no match for easy winner Mabel In May at Fairyhouse last time, but it was a nice run to finish second and there still looks scope for further improvement from him on his fourth handicap outing. Container Madness has run solid races on his last couple of outings and could be place material.
TRUE DESTINY is well treated and was back on track when second at Sligo so, if in the same form, he can go one better. Mr McWhinny and Container Madness may emerge as the main dangers, although there are several with feasible chances.
IMBOLC is a speculative selection. His best efforts have come at this venue and he's 2lb lower than when finishing second here in March

1st (1) (6/4 +33%) Lunar Contact |
6/4(+33%) | (1) Lunar Contact 6/4, Fair hurdles form for Alan King in 2022/23. Twice a winner between the flags and left low-key chase debut well behind when scoring at the second attempt in this sphere over C&D (good) last month. 4 lb rise fair enough and he should have more to offer over fences. 4lb higher than when winning over C&D last month but Callum Pritchard's claim will help.. |

2nd (2) (4/1 +0%) Samourai One |
4/1(+0%) | (2) Samourai One 4/1, Left his hurdling exploits behind when scoring easily on his Market Rasen chase debut in February. That was decent form (had 3 next-time winners in behind) and, having failed to fire on his next 2 starts, he got back on track when third of 8 at Fontwell (26f, soft) last time. Needs considering. Back to some form on recent reappearance and worth considering with that run behind him.. |

3rd (6) (10/1 -82%) Firefly Lane |
10/1(-82%) | (6) Firefly Lane 10/1, Winning pointer who was runner-up in back-to-back mares' handicap chases during the spring. Below par at Newton Abbot (21f, good to soft) in June but firmly back on track when opening her account over the same C&D (soft) last time. 3 lb rise should be manageable and she enters calculations. 4th (4) (4/1 +20%) Awesome Foursome |
4/1(+20%) | (4) Awesome Foursome 4/1, Bumper/hurdles winner who again ran creditably when runner-up at Ludlow in May. Not in same form next 2 starts, including when 6¾ lengths fourth to Lunar Contact on C&D chase debut last month. However, eased 2 lb since and he's entitled to come on for that run. Made a promising chase debut over C&D behind Lunar Contact latest; weighted to go close.. |

5th (5) (10/1 +29%) Kadex |
10/1(+29%) | (5) Kadex 10/1, It was a poor race in which he opened his chase account at Plumpton last October and now finds himself with plenty to prove having failed to complete on each of his last 6 starts, including on debut for this yard at Ffos Las last month. Hasn't completed in his last six starts and has enough to prove at present.. |

6th (7) (22/1 +12%) Go Fox |
22/1(+12%) | (7) Go Fox 22/1, Won twice over fences in summer 2023 and runner-up twice here (hurdles and fences at around 2m) last winter. Largely downhill since, though, and this step back up in trip is of dubious benefit (well held both previous attempts over trips beyond 21f). Didn't appear to stay 2m7f previously so has a bit to prove upped to 3m back over fences.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (9/1 -29%) Dindin |
9/1(-29%) | (3) Dindin 9/1, Successful at Worcester in summer 2023 and runner-up on 3 occasions after. Decent comeback third at Newton Abbot in August and while it would be fair to say that he hasn't built on that since, his latest fourth of 10 at Chepstow (23.6f, good to soft) wasn't a bad effort and he's on a good mark. Holds few secrets but back on a good mark and has the ability to figure, if on his A game.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Now that the penny has dropped for LUNAR CONTACT after a comfortable success over C&D last month, the six-year-old is likely to have plenty more to come and he can follow up off 4lb higher. Awesome Foursome (fourth) has nearly seven lengths to make up with the selection from that contest, but he should also come on for what was his first run since June, while Firefly Lane looks to build upon a determined success over shorter at Newton Abbot in September.
LUNAR CONTACT was seen to good effect under a change of tactics when making all on his second run over fences in a C&D handicap last time. With the promise of better to come, he looks capable of following up off this 4 lb higher mark. Awesome Foursome enjoys a 6 lb pull with the selection having finished 6¾ lengths adrift in fourth that day and is entitled to finish closer this time. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge rates the main danger ahead of Samourai One and Dindin.
Awesome Foursome is feared but LUNAR CONTACT looks capable of repeating his C&D win with the booking of a promising 7lb claimer.

11/1(+8%) | (4) Well Educated 11/1, C&D winner who recorded a respectable sixth of 11 in handicap hurdle over C&D 26 days ago. One for the shortlist. Inconsistent since latest win in May but better efforts give him each-way claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 -100%) Bringbackmemories |
12/1(-100%) | (5) Bringbackmemories 12/1, A fairly useful winner when last seen over hurdles in early 2023. Scored four times on the Flat in 2024 so he's not without interest back in this sphere for his in-form yard. Successful 2024 on the Flat; 2m1f hurdle winner; fit from AW and market can guide.. |

7th (9) (20/1 -67%) The Navigator |
20/1(-67%) | (9) The Navigator 20/1, Bagged a third win of the season at Sedgefield in October but only fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Kelso (20.9f, good to soft) 10 days ago. No surprise to see him get back on track. Winner here in both codes; lacked fluency latest and handicapper may have caught up again.. |

8th (7) (28/1 +15%) Mojo Ego |
28/1(+15%) | (7) Mojo Ego 28/1, Won a pair of juvenile hurdles for Harry Derham last season but he hasn't gone on from an encouraging stable debut at Cartmel this time around. Something to prove. 2m hurdle winner; handicapper may need to relent further to see him win again.. |

9th (6) (13/2 +46%) Majestic Jameela |
13/2(+46%) | (6) Majestic Jameela 13/2, Scored three times over hurdles last term but fell heavily 3rd in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (16f) 38 days ago. Sort to bounce back. Fell on her reappearance and she's likely to need some improvement to defy this mark.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Turned out again quickly under a 7lb penalty after getting off the mark with a comfortable success over C&D last week, DISCO ANNIE has the potential to continue improving and she can land the double for her in-form connections. A determined winner over track and trip last month, Blue Fin must enter calculations, along with the consistent Coniston George and Bringbackmemories, who has paid his way on the Flat since he was last seen in this sphere.
Plenty with chances but it could pay to side with BRINGBACKMEMORIES to make a winning return to hurdling after an absence having been an improved dual winner on the Flat this autumn. Brian Hughes is also a significant booking in the saddle. Disco Annie rates a big threat though under a 7 lb penalty for her recent comfortable C&D victory. Blue Fin, The Navigator and Well Educated all need factoring into this highly competitive handicap too.
C&D winner CONISTON GEORGE acts on slow ground, goes well when fresh and he is taken to score

66/1(-32%) | (9) Strategic Power 66/1, Twice-raced maiden. Eighth of 15 in bumper (150/1) at Cork (18.4f, good to soft) 106 days ago. Always at the back on debut, plenty of improvement needed from mid-field run at Cork. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
LISS EILE has run two nice races to date and can get off the mark now. The Order Of St George filly was third in a strong contest won by Jerry From Kerry on debut and kept on nicely when fourth at Tipperary last month. This looks like a winnable opportunity. The Gordon Elliott-trained newcomer Miss Incognito is one to note in the market. Her half-sister Lucky Storm was a winner for the yard over hurdles during the summer. Derryville is another who has to be considered. She was no match for impressive winner Kalium on her debut at Killarney back in May, but is entitled to improve and has to have a chance against her own sex.
The bar isn't set very high by those with experience, so it's worth taking a chance on Miss Incognition representing a top yard on debut. Twentyfourcarrot is an obvious danger and Derryville's form received a boost at the weekend, so she's another one to consider.
Maxine O'Sullivan's claim is a bonus on LISS EILE who has solid form credentials and is preferred to newcomer Miss Incognito

Likely to be on the premises. In good form since returned to this yard; not beaten far here last time; in the mix again. |

Last of 8 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, heavy, 11/1) 26 days ago. 0-7 on the AW but she's on an attractive mark and has to be considered in a race of this nature. Lower mark on AW and this track should play to his strengths; dangerous with R Ryan booked. |

(3) (6/1 +33%)6/1(+33%) | (3) Sheriff's Call 6/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Second of 3 in maiden (22/1) at Redcar (6f, heavy) 22 days ago. Needs to raise his game now pitched into a handicap for the first time. 2nd of 3 at Redcar back from a long absence last month; that form is unconvincing though. |

Rogue De Vega |
(6) (6/1 +33%)6/1(+33%) | (6) Rogue De Vega 6/1, One win from 21 Flat runs. Nineteen runs since last win in 2023. 11/1, bit below form sixth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (5f) 18 days ago, never nearer. Place possibilities. Effective over C&D and on a sporting mark; tends to get going too late though. |

Snow Berry |
(7) (7/1 +30%)7/1(+30%) | (7) Snow Berry 7/1, Unreliable sort. 3 wins from 9 runs this year. Respectable fourth of 11 in handicap at this course (6.1f, 40/1) 15 days ago, helped by being held up in strongly-run race. Claims if the cards drop right. Three turf wins this year; 0-11 on AW but is effective on Tapeta; each-way shout. |

So Grateful |
(8) (8/1 +0%)8/1(+0%) | (8) So Grateful 8/1, C&D winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. 18/1, seventh of 10 in handicap at Catterick (6f, heavy) 21 days ago. Won't be far away if she puts her best foot forward. Better on AW than turf and well handicapped back at this track; strong claims. |

(2) (11/1 +31%)11/1(+31%) | (2) Doddie's Impact 11/1, 80/1, fifth of 11 in handicap at this course (6.1f) 15 days ago. (9) (20/1 +20%)20/1(+20%) | (9) Man On A Mission 20/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time, sixth of 10 in handicap (28/1) at Chelmsford City (5f) 24 days ago. Looks set for another struggle. Six-time AW winner but yet to shine in three runs back from a summer break. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Not beaten far when only weakening at the finish over C&D last time out, BERNARD SPIERPOINT has done very well since joining the Darryll Holland stable and this looks like another ideal opportunity. Rogue De Vega has strong claims on his penultimate second over C&D, while So Smart has dropped back to his last winning mark of 67. Loco Lobo and So Grateful are capable of being in the shake-up as well.
While SO SMART's record on the all-weather doesn't augur particularly well, these waters are calmer than those that he usually finds himself in and the 5-y-o is taken to emerge on top. Bernard Spierpoint is proving fairly consistent and is likely to give another good account, while So Grateful will have claims if on-song, a remark which also applies to Snow Berry.
So Smart and SO GRATEFUL (nap) look the best handicapped runners in the field and the latter is fancied to gain a fourth course win.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Runner-up on both career outings, including over further here last time out, AT NO TIME sets the standard on form and the drop in trip may prove ideal for this well-bred daughter of Galileo. Maenad showed marginal improvement from first to second start when fourth here last month and she is a player, along with Capla Lazarus, who has the potential to improve for going up in distance.
This looks a good opportunity for AT NO TIME, who again found just one too good here recently and this Galileo filly appeals as the type who will continue to improve with experience. Nala The Lioness showed plenty of ability in bumpers and won't go down without a fight if at her best on debut in this sphere following seven months off. Maenad is open to improvement and is best of the rest.
The addition of cheekpieces can help AT NO TIME break her duck at the third attempt. Maenad is feared most.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A half-brother to a French 1m3f winner, HEBRIDEAN NOMAD could easily improve for going up in trip following a determined success over 1m at Kempton when last seen in September 2023. He is preferred to the hat-trick-seeking Molinari and Orange N Blue, who could be interesting on his first start for new connections. Sol Cayo and Timetobenice can have a say in proceedings as well.
Low-mileage 3-y-o TIMETOBENICE was denied a clear run at a crucial stage when fourth over 9.5f at Wolverhampton last week and, granted better luck back up in trip here, he could be the answer. The one with the most striking potential is Hebridean Nomad, who landed a Kempton novice on the second of his two starts as a juvenile. He should be suited by this stiffer test now handicapping and it will be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting. The in-form Molinari is best of the rest.
The unknown quantity is HEBRIDEAN NOMAD who could easily be on a lenient mark. In-form Molinari looks best of the rest.

(1) (10/1 +9%)10/1(+9%) | (1) Sommelier 10/1, Twenty-third of 28 in handicap at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm, 14/1), merely passing beaten rivals when last seen in June. 2-5 on the AW and return to 6f no bad thing but one or two of these may be better treated. Two easy AW wins last November; strong form in 2 of 4 runs since; no headgear but claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Juan Les Pins |
(3) (10/1 +9%)10/1(+9%) | (3) Juan Les Pins 10/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. Eighth of 12 in handicap at this C&D (20/1) 17 days ago, badly hampered. Others make more appeal. Dangerous mark now and had an excuse here last time; type to come good again soon. |

Palmar Bay |
(7) (10/1 -25%)10/1(-25%) | (7) Palmar Bay 10/1, Latest win at Windsor in July. Bit below form third of 8 in handicap at Haydock (6f, heavy, 5/1) 32 days ago. Makes tapeta debut and this demands a career-best. Of interest on best turf form and he's bred for AW; rider's claim an added bonus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Drama |
(5) (12/1 -20%)12/1(-20%) | (5) Drama 12/1, Latest win at Kempton in September. 12/1, last of 8 in handicap at Haydock (6f, heavy) 32 days ago. Others more persuasive. Heavy ground no good to him last time; earlier AW best brings him right into the picture. |

One Night Stand |
(9) (25/1 +17%)25/1(+17%) | (9) One Night Stand 25/1, 40/1, respectable seventh of 13 in handicap at this course (6.1f) 7 days ago. Easy enough to look elsewhere. On a dangerous mark but he might be of greater interest when back at 5f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
The unexposed ALTMORE wasn't able to defy an 11lb hike in the ratings at Doncaster last month but conditions were incredibly testing that day, and he can be given another chance. The son of Showcasing will have challenges aplenty including Aramis Grey, who finished fourth in the Ayr Gold Cup, and Sommelier on his first appearance since finishing down the field at Royal Ascot. The hat-trick seeking Stanley Spencer is noted, as is Ingra Tor, who was just touched off at Wolverhampton last month.
Several to consider in this competitive handicap with ROUSING ENCORE shading preference ahead of Jenever and Stanley Spencer. The selection has been in top form since joining the Ruth Carr yard during the summer and his close third in a big-field Doncaster handicap 10 days ago was another very solid effort. Stanley Spencer is up in class and the weights but is clearly on a roll and he has to be feared. However, Jenever is just about second choice. Ingra Tor is also shortlisted.
A deep race in which the in-form 5yo INGRA TOR is marginally preferred to Sommelier and Drama.

Champagne Sarah |
(2) (6/1 +8%)6/1(+8%) | (2) Champagne Sarah 6/1, Below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm, 6/1). Off 143 days but remaind handily weighted. Record is 3-19; assessor has finally relented by dropping her 2lb since last run. |

(5) (8/1 +27%)8/1(+27%) | (5) Wren Officer 8/1, 3 wins from 11 runs this year. Latest win at Wolverhampton in October. Too free when only fifth of 7 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 13/2) 14 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time now. Three wins on Tapeta this year, all in cheekpieces or visor; now goes in blinkers. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
MY AWELE bounced back to form when winning over 5f here last month and, given that the runner-up has since run well, an 8lb rise might not stop the lightly-raced daughter of U S Navy Flag. Rosa Applause still has a bit to prove from her current rating but can at least be expected to make a good fist of things, while Champagne Sarah appeals most of the remainder.
MY AWELE should prove suited by this step back up in trip so is fancied to follow up her recent course success despite taking a 8 lb hike in the weights. Rosa Applause is feared most on the back of her good Newbury third, with Exponista also worthy of consideration.
The vote goes to dual course winner MY AWELE, who may well be capable of further progress. Rosa Applause is feared most.

Zip It Up |
(1) (4/11 +18%)4/11(+18%) | (1) Zip It Up 4/11, Promising Lope De Vega colt who was tongue tied when a wide-margin winner of 11-runner novice at Kempton (6f) on her debut 64 days ago, dominating. Claims are crystal clear. Also tongue tied for debut and she fairly scooted home by over 7l at Kempton (6f). |

Tongue strap on for 1st time, first run since leaving Dominic Ffrench Davis when below-par third of 7 in novice (13/8) at Leicester (7f, heavy) 35 days ago. Needs to bounce back. Positive runs to start with before getting stuck in the mud at Leicester last month. |

(6) (10/1 -18%)10/1(-18%) | (6) Zepparella 10/1, 7/2, fourth of 5 in novice at this course (7.1f) on debut 22 days ago. Should improve. Only 7-2 for debut here over 7f but hung for pressure and finished well beaten. |

Luna Rouge |
(5) (66/1 -65%)66/1(-65%) | (5) Luna Rouge 66/1, Twice-raced maiden. 100/1, last of 7 in maiden at Catterick (5f, good to firm). Off 17 months. Up in trip. First run for yard after leaving Seb Spencer with work to do. Finished a tailed-off last in two 5f maidens on turf during 2023; no appeal. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Swift Storm sets the standard with an official rating of 78 and although he might benefit from a drop in trip, ZIP IT UP is hard to oppose. Richard Hannon's filly bolted up at Kempton on her racecourse bow and despite the penalty, natural progress can see her repeat the dose. Zepparella failed to fire on her debut but she should know more this time around.
ZIP IT UP looked a good prospect when routing her field on her debut at Kempton and is impossible to oppose. Mick Appleby's newcomer Grabajabba could emerge as the pick of the rest ahead of Swift Storm and Zepparella.
Richard Hannon's ZIP IT UP fairly bolted up at Kempton and the runner-up isn't a bad horse at all. Swift Storm has to be feared.

C&D win in September was followed by a near miss 19 days ago; should go well again. |

JAZZY ANGEL makes most appeal in an open contest, given she has been raised only 2lb after notching up her third win on the Tapeta with last month's success at Wolverhampton. Beyond Words scored over course and distance on her handicap bow and can feature again having failed to get a clear run at Kempton last time, while Stratocracy narrowly beat the previous course winner Triggerman here and that pair are hard to separate.
JAZZY ANGEL bagged her third victory on tapeta at Wolverhampton last month and hasn't been harshly treated by the handicapper for that success. She may be able to score again here. Triggerman and Beyond Words are also of interest.
A tricky puzzle in which it may pay to give top weight BEYOND WORDS another chance to confirm the promise of her C&D win in August.

MERCURIUS POWER won over course and distance in August and found only one too good at Newcastle last time. The six-year-old gets another chance off his current mark and is taken to confirm latest running with the consistent Barleybrown. The latter looks likely to have a say in proceedings once again, while Rwenearlytheredad has only his second start on the all-weather having landed a double on turf with a recent success at Redcar.
RWENEARLYTHEREDAD is on the up and still unexposed over 1m, so he's fancied to complete the hat-trick under another positive ride, acknowledging this looks competitive for the grade. Barleybrown and Mercurius Power are two of several dangers.
Mercurius Power and BARLEYBROWN are closely matched on a recent Newcastle run. This race may set up better for the selection.

ELETTARIA caught the eye finishing with a late flourish to take third at Newcastle a fortnight ago. Beaten less than a length on that occasion, a return to winning ways looks imminent. Fitz Perfectly has yet to win, but went close to doing so at Wolverhampton last week and has a shout competing off the same mark, while Yaahobby is not easily dismissed if staying this extra furlong and Shaka could also get involved.
FITZ PERFECTLY came clear of the remainder with a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton 8 days ago and, with a reproduction of that effort, she should be hard to beat from a good draw. Elettaria is a danger and Star of Atlantis is of interest down in grade on her second outing for Jack Jones.
Last week's near miss at Wolverhampton suggests FITZ PERFECTLY is well handicapped and she can belatedly gain her first win.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
