Honour Your Dreams ran with plenty of credit when runner-up over 5f here earlier in the month and he is a strong contender, as he takes a notable step up in distance. However, GOBI SUNSET looks the way to go after his victory off 5lb lower over C&D last month. The son of Oasis Dream was making his first start for the Iain Jardine stable on that occasion and he could show a new lease of life now that he has switched yards. Liamarty Dreams takes a drop in grade and has to be considered in this sort of company.

A tricky opener to solve but preference is for BICEP, who travelled like a dream before finding his stamina running dry over 1m here last week so, now dropping back in trip, Grant Tuer's 4-y-o can resume winning ways at the expense of Kalganov, who has his first start for Michael Dods and can shrug off a lesser effort at York last month. Honour Your Dreams and the consistent Ayr Poet can battle out minor honours.

Grant Tuer's BICEP travelled like one still ahead of his mark over 1m here last week and can prove the point back 7f.

BRANDY LOVE is an exciting recruit to chasing although she would prefer to be going left-handed. The point-to-point winner impressed when slamming Love Envoi by eight lengths in a 2m4f Grade 1 mares' novice hurdle at Fairyhouse and didn't reappear until this spring probably putting up her best performance first time out when trying to give weight to Queens Brook at Punchestown. Stablemate Eabha Grace won twice over hurdles earlier this year including a Grade 3 at Limerick and has a run over fences under her belt at Killarney. Harmonya Maker was just headed when falling at the penultimate flight in that aforementioned Limerick novice and the two-time hurdle winner handles soft ground. Henning and Feddans appear best of the remainder.

Smart hurdler BRANDY LOVE will take a lot of stopping if translating anything like her smart hurdles form to the larger obstacles. Her stablemate Eabha Grace shaped with promise on her chase debut in the spring and is preferred to Gordon Elliott's Harmonya Maker for the forecast spot.

It's hard to get away from BRANDY LOVE who's a proven Grade 1 performer over timber and if she's near that level, she'll be hard to bea

A comfortable winner here on his hurdles bow last month, there should be plenty more to come from CADELL, and the son of Mahler is entitled to improve for the step up in trip. Charlie Uberalles reverts to hurdles after a comfortable success over the larger obstacles at Perth and he must enter calculations, along with Chance The Robin, who scored in fine style at Hexham back in May.

CADELL created a good impression when making a winning hurdles debut here and, with the promise of better to come, he is taken to maintain his 100% record in this sphere. Chance The Robin also did the job well on his first start over timber and is the clear main danger ahead of point-winner Kerryhill.

The choice is CHARLIE UBERALLES who looked a good prospect last season and is taken to beat Chance The Robin and Cadell.

Eulace Peacock sets the standard with an official rating of 77 and was far from disgraced in third at Newmarket last month, so he is likely to be a player. However, he may have to give best to the 360,000-euro purchase ALTMORE, who is a well-bred son of Showcasing and related to plenty of winners. He is aided by the cracking form of the William Haggas yard at present and the stable won both divisions of this race in 2021. Any market support for Noisy Music on her first start would also be of interest.

EULACE PEACOCK isn't progressing but he sets a decent standard and his experience should count for plenty. Altmore and Sherman Tank are a couple of newcomers who proved popular at the sales so both are potential threats.

Eulace Peacock brings the best form but he's taken on with interesting alternative JACKSON STREET.

WEE CHARLIE won a competitive handicap hurdle at Naas this spring and was placed a number of times with plenty of cut in the ground. The Tom Gibney-trained gelding was taking on some useful types when fourth to Quilixios on his chase debut at Limerick last month and should benefit from that experience. Carrig Carol has a similar profile having also won a handicap hurdle and showed some promise when switched to fences at Thurles last time. Hand Over Fist just meets the qualifying criteria here for horses rated 109 or less over hurdles winning twice this season but appears best on a sounder surface. Silent Approach boasts the best piece of hurdle form having finished a close third to Shecouldbeanything in a Listed race at Killarney, while Nephin Beg won a 24-runner 2m4f Cork handicap hurdle last winter and may have been unsuited by longer trips since.

WEE CHARLIE shaped well when fourth on his recent Limerick chase debut and is given a chance to build on that promise. Carrig Carol also showed an aptitude for chasing when sixth in a maiden at Thurles last month and is second choice ahead of Henry de Bromhead's Hand Over Fist, a dual winner over hurdles this summer.

A chance is taken on NOBLE BLUE, who didn't hang about over hurdles despite showing promise and he was placed in a point.

An impressive winner at Warwick on his return last month, JOSH THE BOSS should have plenty more to come and the talented four-year-old could be hard to stop once again. Narrowly denied on his Rules debut at Uttoxeter, Magical King looks to be a key player, along with Minella Double, who won well on his hurdles bow at Hexham a month ago.

It was hard not to be impressed by the way JOSH THE BOSS went about his business on debut over hurdles at Warwick and, with the promise of better to come from this 4-y-o, he is hard to oppose. Magical King and Minella Double are both promising, too, with the former marginally preferred for forecast purposes, while point-winner Flash In The Park is one to note in the betting.

Flash In The Park is an interesting newcomer to hurdling but the safer option is JOSH THE BOSS, a wide-margin winner at Warwick.

A winner of three of his last four over C&D, BOLLINGERANDKRUG continues to go from strength to strength and a 6lb rise for his most recent victory could prove especially lenient as he drops in grade. The only rival to get the better of him in those four starts is the reopposing Duty Calls in March, but he didn't show much in two subsequent starts. Gandhi Maker went close at Carlisle last time out and should be able to build on that.

BOLLINGERANDKRUG has proved a different proposition since returning to chasing earlier this year and impressed again with his jumping when scoring here a fortnight ago, He is taken to follow up. Gandhi Maker arrives on back of solid effort at Carlisle and is feared most.

Although Duty Calls has a chance he might need the race after a break and preference is for the in-form BOLLINGERANDKRUG (nap).

The Gordon Elliott team may have unearthed a smart sort when purchasing WODHOOH from Sir Michael Stoute, and the three-year-old made quite the impression last time out at Punchestown when bounding clear of her rivals. She can land the hat-trick, with comfortable Killarney winner Cossack Chach looking best placed to chase her home. A half-sister to the stable's Albert Bartlett winner Martello Tower, Bravewhenineedtobe is one to note too.

WODHOOH has made a big impression on her first two outings in this sphere and is firmly expected to bring up the hat-trick for all that Cossack Chach is promising in his own right. Newcomer Bravewhenineedtobe looks the pick of the rest.

It seems best policy to concentrate on the proven hurdlers in the field, with ready preference for WODHOOH.

It is difficult to look past MEATLOAF, who scored twice in bumpers here last season and was runner-up at Listed level in January. Paul Nicholls has a good record here and the son of Doctor Dino could be a smart sort to go to war with this season. A promising second at Stratford in March, Ballee must be of interest on his first start for new connections, while the capable Dancing In Brazil is another to note.

Paul Nicholls has farmed this event in recent seasons and looks to hold sway once more with his promising dual bumper scorer MEATLOAF. Stablemate Annie K also brings plenty of potential and rates the chief threat, although Walk On High has the form to play a part too if fully wound up after a lengthy absence.

Paul Nicholls has a sweet spot for this meeting and, with MEATLOAF such a smart prospect, the 4yo can make a winning start.

Beyond Borders justified favouritism when completing a double at Pontefract last time and holds an obvious chance off a 5lb higher mark on his return to the all-weather. However, the less-exposed MASTER OF MY FATE gets the vote, as he was only denied by a neck at Lingfield in his attempt to follow up his debut victory at Pontefract. The son of Footstepsinthesand now makes his nursery debut off a mark of 83, which could prove lenient with further progress expected. Good Point has recorded some solid efforts recently and can fight it out for the minor honours.

Cases can be made for several but at forecast longer odds it could pay to side with BULMER BANK, who wasn't seen to best effect in a falsely-run race when fourth on nursery debut at York 7 weeks ago and, dropping in grade, he should have more to offer making his all-weather debut. Beyond Borders arrives in top form so he's put forward as the main danger, ahead of Good Point and Master of My Fate.

There should be more to come from twice-raced colt MASTER OF MY FATE, who gets the vote ahead of Callianassa.

CLIFTON WARRIOR won a handicap hurdle on testing ground at Clonmel last season off a mark of 125 and has gone close on all three outings since sent over fences. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding was just denied in a rated novice at Galway last time following a six-month break and may well benefit from that run. So Scottish progressed well early last season completing a hat-trick before finishing runner-up in a valuable 2m1f handicap chase at Ascot. Krabat fell on his latest two chase starts but on the plus side is fit after a couple of recent hurdle outings while it will be interesting to see how Ex Patriot fares after a very lengthy absence. Lucid Dreams has taken well to fences this autumn and is another to consider.

Though his well-being has to be taken on trust following 11 months off, COQOLINO showed more than enough in a trio of strong maiden chases to suggest that he will up to winning handicaps off this sort of mark. He earns the vote ahead of So Scottish, who took well to fences last season and may well have more to offer. Lucid Dreams is best of the rest.

A few of these might be ones for another day. CLIFTON WARRIOR (nap) and Lucid Dreams have plenty going for them.

GIOVINCO's chase debut may not have gone to plan at Carlisle, when unseating his rider three out, but he is the class act in this field and can take advantage. Lucinda Russell's charge always promised to go well over fences and he is preferred to Universal Folly, who arrives in top form having won his last three starts. Lord Of Kerak is the pick of the remainder.

Impressive in winning his three starts over hurdles last season, GIOVINCO was still going strongly when unseating Stephen Mulqueen at the third-last on his chase debut at Carlisle 16 days ago. He remains a bright prospect and will prove hard to beat. Moving back up in trip will help Lord of Kerak and he is next on the list ahead of the in-form Universal Folly.

There's no guarantee GIOVINCO would have won at Carlisle had he avoided that unseat but he'd made a fine impression until that point.

A tentative vote goes to LOCK DOWN LUKE, who has won two of his last three starts around here and gives every indication that he may relish the step up beyond three miles. The son of Lucarno has won fresh before and he is preferred to the unexposed Hexham runner-up Monochromix, as well as Shoeshine Boy, who has been in consistent form more recently. Butler's Brief and Pavlik have the form to get involved too.

MONOCHROMIX has a solid profile and shaped as if he'd come on for the run when second at Hexham on return, so he's fancied to open his account up in trip. Shoeshine Boy is an obvious danger and Pavlik should feature if tuned up after a year off.

A chance is taken on COSMIC OUTLAW who hasn't run since May but won over C&D on his return from a summer break last year.

It is entirely feasible that this is within reach for one of the hurdling newcomers. Fast Felix, Royal Time and Whale Harbour all have something to recommend them on paper and are respected accordingly. However, DOWN MEMORY LANE romped home in decent looking point-to-point at Umma House last October before comfortably scoring in a Fairyhouse bumper when last seen in February. Derek O'connor was in the plate on both this occasions and the partnership appears to hold a live chance of completing the hat-trick. The selection's stablemate, Timmy Tuesday, also commands respect.

Gordon Elliott looks to hold a strong hand here and his TIMMY TUESDAY is worth another chance to confirm his hurdling debut promise having run out early at Punchestown when last seen on the track 11 months ago. Stablemate Down Memory Lane appeals on paper and could prove the chief threat ahead of fellow newcomers Earlofbrackenstown and Whale Harbour.

Slight preference is for MIDNIGHT MIDGE, who was a taking winner over C&D in March and should come on a lot for his recent return at Exeter. The ground may not be ideal for the nine-year-old, but he has a good record here and can get the better of old rival Huelgoat. Enjoy Your Life is interesting on his French form, while Warwick winner Another Crick and Dibble Decker are entitled to be thereabouts as well.

Plenty are in with a shout. FLAGRANT DELITIEP goes very well round here and hinted at a revival with his recent Plumpton fourth so edges the vote off a 2 lb lower mark. Volkovka is less exposed and could prove a big threat if, as expected, taking another step forward this term. Huelgoat, Ede'iffs Elton and Enjoy Your Life all need factoring in too.

Second to a much-improved rival over hurdles here in April, ENJOY YOUR LIFE is selected to make a winning British chase debut.

CUT THE ROPE won on debut in a Naas bumper back in January and made a bright start over hurdles at Limerick last month. The Sea The Stars gelding only gave best on the run-in when runner-up to A Penny A Hundred with Milk Market about seven lengths back in fourth. Shoot Champagne is still a maiden after five starts but has shown promise both in bumpers and over hurdles. She finished second to the long odds-on Brighterdaysahead in a Thurles maiden hurdle last month and probably rates the chief threat. Joyeux Vivo was placed in a 22-runner bumper at the Punchestown Festival that has thrown up a number of subsequent winners and the French bred gelding has plenty of scope for improvement. Beckett Rock and Nathan Wells are two newcomers to note.

The form of the big-field bumper in which JOYEUX VIVO was a promising third at Punchestown on debut in April looks pretty decent. He is taken to make a winning start over hurdles, perhaps at the chief expense of Cut The Rope, who found just one too good in an 18-runner Limerick maiden hurdle last month and is open to improvement. Newcomers Beckett Rock and Nathan Wells both need a close look in the betting.

It looks best to side with the Charlie Appleby-trained VEIL OF SHADOWS, who fared best of the Godolphin pair last time, finishing a good second in the Pride Stakes at Newmarket. The unexposed daughter of Frankel should have more in the locker and she can go one better now down in class. Sound Angela is 3-4 on all-weather and won well on her only previous visit to this track, while stable companion Mukaddamah is noted too.

VEIL OF SHADOWS got back on the up when second at Newmarket last month and gets the nod in an open-looking contest. Sound Angela and Mukaddamah head the list of dangers.

If VEIL OF SHADOWS can back up her improved second in a Group 3 at Newmarket last time she might prove the answer to this Listed race.

A comfortable winner on his handicap debut at Ayr when last seen, IMPERIAL MERLIN could be just the type to excel during his second season over hurdles and a mark of 127 gives him a big chance. Irish raider Icare Allen is of interest stepping up markedly in trip, while Storm Nelson has an excellent record when fresh and cannot be ruled out for new connections. Last year's winner Remastered and Classic Chase scorer Iwilldoit are also high on the shortlist.

REMASTERED ended last season out of sorts but the fact he started the previous campaign in such good form provides hope he can bounce back with a bang and land this race for the second year running. Icare Allen will be a major threat if his stamina holds now tackling 3m for the first time, while Imperial Merlin is a lightly-raced improver who likely has even more to come this season.

The greatest potential comes with IMPERIAL MERLIN (nap), who ended last season on a seriously positive note on his first attempt at 3m.

The mare looked well up to winning in Listed company when beating everything bar dual subsequent scorer Shecouldbeanything at Punchestown in the spring, and will have been tuned up by a recent spin on the Flat. Foxy Girl, with a hood introduced, is another who looks potentially well treated, while Palace Rock could throw up some each-way value.

Preference is for PALACE ROCK, who ran a cracker when last seen over timber in December and ought to be spot on after a solid recent run on the Flat. The Model Kingdom and Foxy Girl head the list of dangers.

The winner of the Elite Hurdle on this card last year, KNAPPERS HILL sets a lofty standard and there should be plenty of improvement forthcoming after a promising second on his chase debut at Chepstow last month. The son of Valirann is two from three around here and he should have too much for the Irish raider Captain Conby, who was no match for the veteran Sharjah at Tipperary last time. A taking winner of both starts over hurdles at Chepstow, Doyen Star could be anything in this sphere and must also be considered.

It's hard to look past KNAPPERS HILL, who was much the best of these over hurdles and will have learnt plenty from his encouraging chasing bow at Chepstow. Irish-raider Captain Conby may give him most to think about.

Free-going front-runner GIVEGA looked exciting on his good days over hurdles last season and could take some catching if he jumps well.

It is hard to know what CRACK THE SKY achieved in winning three races on the Flat in Scandinavia but the daughter of Nathaniel certainly merits plenty of respect coming from Closutton and any market support would be significant. Western Fold shaped well on debut in the valuable Goffs Sales bumper at the Punchestown Festival. He's been beaten at odds-on in a Downpatrick bumper and unseated here at the first when switched to hurdles but could still be a factor. Bobbi Gin Tree is a half-sister to four winners including the smart Brandy Love while Joyau De Thaix cost 85,000 euros at the Goffs Land Rover Sale last year and is another newcomer to note in the betting.

CRACK THE SKY was fairly useful on the Flat in Scandinavia and looks an interesting recruit to hurdles for her top stable. Touch Me Not and Bobbi Gin Tree are other likely types.

Not much has gone right for WESTERN FOLD this term but he looked promising when 3rd in a decent bumper last term and may bounce back

SENSE OF DUTY wasn't able to land a blow in the Champions' Sprint at Ascot, but last June's Chipchase success over this C&D lives fresh in the memory and it would be no surprise to see William Haggas' filly post an improved performance back on the Tapeta. Brad The Brief makes plenty of appeal, but he might struggle to concede 5lb to the selection, while Albasheer also makes some appeal.

ALBASHEER has built a fine record in top-level handicaps since joining Archie Watson and is fancied to make a successful transition to listed company. Sense of Duty hasn't really been given the opportunity to show what she is capable of in a limited campaign this season, but was so impressive when winning the Chipchase here last season that she can't be ruled out, whilst Stewards' Cup winner Aberama Gold is also a player.

It's likely to be game over if SENSE OF DUTY is the same filly who won a C&D Group 3 last June. Testing ground may have been against her

MASTER CHEWY emerged as a ready winner of a novices' handicap chase over this course and distance 13 days ago and it is entirely possible that a 10lb higher mark underestimates his scope for improvement over fences. Nigel Twiston-Davies' gelding certainly created a favourable impression with his jumping that day and is hard to ignore despite the relatively quick turnaround. Djelo boasts some useful form over hurdles and is respected on his chasing debut. Real Stone is also noteworthy on his first start after wind surgery.

MASTER CHEWY was mightily impressive as he came clear on his first run over fences here a fortnight ago and can go in again if this doesn't come too soon. Lively Citizen looks another chaser to follow after his likeable victory at Perth in May. Netywell and Djelo are also considered.

Lucinda Russell's charge makes his handicap/chase debut and he looks the one to beat. Prince Des Fichaux is also respected after scoring at Ffos Las in April, while Gentleman De Mai isn't easily ignored.

None of these can be ruled out but Lucinda Russell's winning pointer DE LEGISLATOR made a very promising start over hurdles last term and is fancied to go in at the first time of asking over fences here. Prince des Fichaux has experience on his side and rates a big threat starting out for Ewan Whillans, with No Regrets also well in the mix for the in-form Nicky Richards yard.

Chasing debutant DE LEGISLATOR has stacks of untapped potential and could defy top weight with a clear round.

Despite just four runners lining up here, this is still a high-class renewal with GERRI COLOMBE expected to come out on top. Gordon Elliott's charge lost his unbeaten record when beaten just a short head in the Grade 1 Brown Advisory at Cheltenham before creating quite the impression in the Grade 1 Mildmay at Aintree and, should he return to the track in similar form, he will be tough to beat. Minella Indo is feared most after a pleasing seasonal reappearance at Punchestown. Last year's winner Envoi Allen is never easily ruled out, while Conflated is the highest rated of these.

GERRI COLOMBE made a huge impression in his first season over fences and, with the likelihood of more to come this term, he is taken to make a winning return here. Last year's winner Envoi Allen should be spot on after his Gowran reappearance and is feared most.

GERRI COLOMBE is stepping out of novice company for the first time but has tremendous potential and is taken to pass this test.

Last year's impressive winner Frodon is bound to have his supporters as he goes in search of a remarkable 20th career win, but he's 11 now and with the ground more testing than ideal, he may be worth taking on. Stablemate Threeunderthrufive looks a viable alternative after wind surgery, but preference is for Dan Skelton's ASHTOWN LAD. The nine-year-old has gone well fresh in the past and showed his class last season when winning the Becher Chase from just 4lb lower.

FRODON has been dropped to the same mark as when landing this 12 months ago. This 11-y-o still looked just about as good as ever in the spring and can make a winning start to a campaign for a remarkable seventh time in his illustrious career. Stablemate Threeunderthrufive was a good fourth in the Scottish Grand National when last seen and can provide the chief threat ahead of Blackjack Magic, who is capable of better again but needs to prove his jumping can cope with the demands of a good race.

Frodon and Threeunderthrufive have clear claims but SAM BROWN (nap) has a lot in his favour if he's on one of his good days.

ILE ATLANTIQUE gets the vote in what appears a strong maiden. The selection was placed over hurdles at Auteuil before making a successful start for current connections when beating Feronily in a bumper at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting with No Time To Wait in third. He went close on both subsequent bumper outings and remains a bright prospect. No Time To Wait subsequently scored in decisive fashion at Down Royal before competing at Grade 1 level. Raglan Road was odds-on when second to Abbeydale in an 18-runner maiden hurdle over C&D last spring, while Diamboy Des Carres won a Clonmel bumper on heavy ground and was off for nearly a year before placed on his hurdle debut at Limerick last month. Teuchters Glory gave his veteran trainer a memorable day in the saddle last season and also has solid form over hurdles.

ILE ATLANTIQUE is just preferred to No Time To Wait in this maiden, the pair of them looking really promising prospects for jumping. Teuchters Glory and Raglan Road are a couple of others to note in what could be an informative contest.

Zoumoon sets the form standard, having posted back-to-back second, and although she's respected, a chance can be taken on LION'S HOUSE. The son of Oasis Dream is related to a couple of useful types, who were both successful on the all-weather. Roger Varian has a healthy strike-rate with his juveniles on artificial surfaces and a high draw is a further positive. Harry Did is also noted following an encouraging Kempton debut.

An interesting maiden. HARRY DID seemed to get the hang of things late on debut and is fancied to build upon the positive impression he created there. Zoumoon is also highly respected but may find one too good for the third consecutive outing, with Roger Varian's newcomer Lion's House and Karl Burke's once-raced Wait And Hope others for the shortlist.

The shortlist is headed by the similar types HARRY DID and Wait And Hope in that order of preference. Zoumoon is third choice.

Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero picked up a Listed race in France with the gelding on his latest start and he can go well once again. However, FANTASTIC LADY was second in the Topham over C&D in April and gets the vote off just 4lb higher. Cooper's Cross and Born By The Sea complete the shortlist.

GESSKILLE came close twice over these fences last season and returned to winning ways at Auteuil last time. Proven in testing conditions, he makes plenty of appeal. Coopers Cross improved throughout last season and was bang in contention when coming to grief here in April. He is feared most, whilst Fantastic Lady and Percussion also bring valuable course form to the table and are much respected too.

Half Shot is second on the list but is up against a strong group of those who have already run well here. GESSKILLE gets the vote.

The reopposing Strike Of Lighting (second) is feared most now 2lb better off with the selection, while Shantou Moon completes the shortlist.

ELOI DU PUY and Strike of Lighting looked better than ever when first and second over C&D 5 weeks ago and they can come out on top again, the former taken to confirm the placings despite a 2 lb swing. Shantou Moon is best of the others back over hurdles.

He didn't take to chasing on his latest outing but SHANTOU MOON is of interest if judged on his earlier hurdling form.

The hat-trick seeking Visionarian is no forlorn hope despite having a bit to find on official ratings.

ASH TREE MEADOW put up a bold front-running display to land the Galway Plate 3 months ago and should be able to follow up in a race where he sets the standard. Feronily remains with potential in this sphere and should ensure that it's not all plain sailing for the selection, and Visionarian is no forlorn hope.

Paul Nicholls' Rubaud is likely to be all the rage after a winning reappearance but he still needs to prove himself on ground this testing and the concession of 6lb to one of his former victims, HANSARD, may just prove too much. Gary Moore's charge never fired when sent off favourite for their previous clash at Kempton in February but he proved that running to be all wrong when a close fourth in a Grade 1 event at Aintree in the spring. Sacre Coeur is the pick of the remainder.

With West Balboa seemingly destined for Aintree this is at the mercy of RUBAUD, who impressed when scoring at Kempton on his return and looks to have been well placed once again. Hansard ran a cracker in the Top Novices' Hurdle and is the obvious danger.

Rubaud is improving at a rate of knots but ground this soft wouldn't be his preferred surface and HANSARD should give him a race.

PERZZINI appreciated testing ground when showing much improved form to land a maiden over C&D last time. The Lorna Fowler-trained gelding is obviously held in some regard as he was well-backed on that occasion and an initial mark of 107 seems fair. The application of a tongue-tie has helped Park Of Kings to score at Roscommon and Punchestown while Gwan Tadhg is another in great form making it three wins in his last four starts when successful at Downpatrick last time. Evesham Road landed a gamble on his hurdle debut at Clonmel back in March and it will be very interesting to see if the market again speaks in his favour while Ring O Roses, Me Wee Bonnie Lass and Star Official are others to note.

PARK OF KINGS is on a progressive path and there is a good chance he can get the hat-trick up. Ring O Roses and Gwan Tadhg are unlikely to be far away either, in what looks a good handicap in which cases can be made for most.

A competitive handicap with plenty of these in form. DERRY LAD could be well treated for his handicap debut given his Flat ability.

A commendable third in last year's Chipchase Stakes on his only previous run on the all-weather, BIELSA is an attractive proposition off 2lb lower than his most recent outing in a valuable York handicap. The Kevin Ryan-trained gelding has also fared well with the draw and could have things set up nicely for him to fly at the finish, if his old rival Gweedore runs his usual race from the front. Gisburn and Monsieur Kodi are another closely-matched pair fancied to be on the premises.

GISBURN has fewer miles on the clock this season than most of his rivals and has been proving as good as ever this autumn, so he looks the one to beat ahead of Monsieur Kodi, who finished only a head behind the selection when they met at Goodwood last month. Brewing rates as an interesting runner dropping back to 6f for only his fifth career start and could well prove capable of better.

Brewing is an unexposed lurker now back to 6f but GWEEDORE ran a mighty race in defeat at York last time and can gain compensation.

The lightly-raced WEST BALBOA arrives here seeking a hat-trick following two wins earlier this year, with the most recent of those victories coming over 3m at this venue in April. Brewin'upastorm unseated his rider in this race last year but is feared most based on his victory in the previous renewal in 2021, while Millers Bank should not be completely discounted.

Things didn't go to plan for MILLERS BANK over fences last term, but he boasts a solid strike rate in this sphere and was placed in a Grade 1 at this course on his latest hurdles start at the 2021 Grand National meeting. The 9-y-o gets the nod ahead of West Balboa, who ended last season on a high here and will be a big threat if going to post (also engaged at Wincanton). Brewin'upastorm landed this race two years ago and has to be feared, for all that he has a little bit to find on these terms.

A fascinating contest can go to WEST BALBOA who is improving fast and can make the most of the weight she receives from the geldings.

Positive market vibes for Irish raider Joker Du Chenet could be significant, a comment which also applies to fellow handicap debutant So They Say, who has had wind surgery since her two moderate runs in February last year. All that said, it may pay to stick with HEADSCARF LIL, who handled testing conditions really well when just touched off over 3m at Perth in September.

SO THEY SAY has a lengthy absence to overcome but her opening mark looks a fair one so she could be worth chancing. Headscarf Lil was only just edged out at Perth so is next best ahead of Secret Secret, who has made a positive start for this yard.

The suggestion is SECRET SECRET, who won on his stable debut in August and did well to finish fifth in a big field last month.

A tricky puzzle to solve with plenty in with chances but the tentative nod goes in the direction of LOVETHENIGHTLIFE. Joe Tizzard's charge struggled to land a blow in Listed company on her most recent start at Cheltenham in April but she can get back to winning ways now eased in grade. After a decisive success over C&D last time, Lime Avenue can give the selection most to think about on her handicap bow, while Plenty Of Time is also worthy of a close look.

None of these can be ruled out but Paul Nicholls' LIME AVENUE has already shown she goes well ad this idiosyncratic track and with more to come on the back of wind surgery she can come out on top again. Vicki Vale is another to have undergone breathing surgery since her last success and next on the list, although a solid case can also be made for Ilovethenightlife, Space Voyage and Ostrava du Berlais in a fascinating contest.

Handicap debutante LIME AVENUE won a C&D novice with quite a bit left in the tank in February and gets the nod.

INTERSKY SUNSET gained her second point-to-point win when scoring in good style at Castletown-Geoghegan last month. The selection, who has only run once over hurdles in the past two years, joined Declan Queally this summer and appears on a reasonable mark. Point-to-point winner Milfordfourthree has been generally consistent this season including when fourth in a Limerick maiden last time, while Aegirine has indicated ability on a number of occasions notably over a similar trip on testing ground at Limerick last month. Kopon won this corresponding race 12 months ago but hasn't been seen since while What An Ocean and Greenhill Damsel are others to consider.

The vote goes to MILFORDFOURTHREE, who is 0-10 over hurdles but she performed well enough when fourth off this mark at Limerick last time to be given a fighting chance in a race of this nature. Greenhill Damsel didn't shape badly when returning to action at Galway and she could be a threat, while Intersky Sunset, a winner between the flags last time, and What An Ocean also enter calculations.

A chance is taken on bLADY MASQUERADE\p in the hope that a tongue-tie might enable her to reproduce the form of her debut effort.

LOCAL DYNASTY started off 2023 with a commendable third-placed finish in the Dee Stakes at Chester and, having held his own at this level twice since, he appeals strongly returning to action at this stage of the campaign. Gelded during his break, the son of Dubawi still has bags of scope or improvement and a good performance here can open the door to further all-weather opportunities. Chillingham is another open to further progression, while Euchen Glenn is admirably tough and may represents some value for a place in the fame.

A typically competitive renewal of this valuable handicap, tradtionally staged at Doncaster. MR ALAN has raised his game under testing conditions on turf of late and, if able to perform to a similar level back on the all-weather, he could be the answer. Teumessias Fox is 2-4 on synthetics and is capable of a bold show back from a break, while Chillingham, Godolphin's Local Dynasty and Mustazeed are others to consider.

Judged on his spring wins, coming here fresh looks a big plus for TEUMESSIAS FOX (nap). Second choice is Chillingham.

Without the benefit of market clues, it could pay to side with CLAP OF THUNDER, who is from a good family and represents an in-form yard that had an impressive winner in this sphere recently. Simba's Roar and I Wish You are also of interest, although a case can be made for the majority on paper.

PRESENTLY improved when second at Uttoxeter last time and, with further progress expected for her new yard, she gets the nod ahead of Heart Above, who has actually achieved slightly more to this point. Al Kalila is also worthy of consideration.

The main threat might be Big Dee, who shaped with plenty of promise at Listowel on his first outing and should go well. Any market support for Bonavena would also be of interest.

CLEATUS POOLAW readily laned his latest outing in points and is fully expected to follow suit starting out under Rules for a powerful outfit. Big Dee ran well at Listowel on debut and looks the main danger, while Bonavena would come into the reckoning if the market spoke in his favour.

The well-related Roman Roy is feared most for the powerful combination of Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden, while Horaces Pearl looks primed to follow them home.

HORACES PEARL created a good impression over C&D on debut and is worth a chance to defy a penalty for all that this is a better contest. Baskerville is a big danger on the back of a promising start and point bumper winner Saint Anapolino needs considering.

While it's never easy to defy penalties in races of this nature, HORACES PEARL beat a good horse here in April.

The daughter of Study Of Man can progress further on only her third start to reverse that form and shed her maiden tag. As for the latter, she has her 7lb penalty to carry, which makes life tougher, but she is still likely to be thereabouts. The African Queen will find this a lot easier than the Listed contest she struggled in at Sandown in July.

The well-bred CALM WATERS won't need to be any great shakes to make a winning start for the Gosden stable, with confidence in her chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Qatar Moon is perhaps the one most likely to profit should the selection fail to deliver. Tayala and Brighton-winner The African Queen are others likely to have a say.

Machiavellian Lady and Qatar Moon look best of those to have run but CALM WATERS has a striking pedigree for a race like this.

Poniros struck on his racecourse bow when favourite over the extended 1m at Nottingham in heavy conditions and he should put up a fight under a 7lb penalty, while any market confidence behind Chain Of Command should also be noted.

TRIBAL STAR showed plenty when runner-up in what is traditionally a strong maiden at Newmarket and he sets the bar pretty high. Poniros justified market confidence when making a winning debut at Nottingham and rates the main threat under a penalty, while well-connected newcomer Chain of Command needs keeping an eye on.

The gelded son of Muhaarar is able to compete from an unchanged mark today and a similar performance could see him regain the winning thread. Cavalluccio is just 2lb higher than for April's C&D success and must enter calculations with that in mind, while Fiddlers Green, who hasn't been with the John O'Shea team for long, is an interesting contender with Billy Loughnane aboard for the first time.

CAVALLUCCIO caught the eye on his second start back from a break when third at Wolverhampton and looks ready to strike off his current mark. Liberated Lad is another to consider after his strong-finishing third at Newcastle 9 days ago, with Eljaytee best of the others.

Returning to Class 6 company could see BLUE YONDER bounce back to winning ways. Cavalluccio may be the one to chase him home.

FLOWER OF DUBAI has been knocking on the door in recent starts and the New Approach filly, who has two wins from her three all-weather appearances, is expected to get back on track now returned to an artificial surface. Different Tone makes plenty of appeal from the foot of the handicap, along with Le Rouge Chinois, who finished a creditable third on his first start for Breeders' Cup-winning trainer Michael Appleby and improvement ought to be in the offing.

LE ROUGE CHINOIS made an encouraging start for Mick Appleby when third at Newcastle 11 days ago, and with further improvement on the cards now stepped further up in trip, he's taken to double his career tally at the expense of Kyle of Lochalsh, who got back on track and would've finished closer still without meeting late interference when third at Kempton recently. Different Tone looks best of the rest.

Returned to AW, DIFFERENT TONE could well show that he's another shrewd purchase by The Horse Watchers.

A host of in-form sprinters line up here, but none more so than THE WAITING GAME. Jack Jones' four-year-old has gone up a total of 32lb in the handicap since winning a classified event in August, and a further 3lb rise for her latest C&D success might not be enough to stop the filly today. Buccabay doesn't have many miles on the clock and he merits consideration now dropped in class, while others to consider include Shalaa Asker, Holkham Bay and Masterclass.

Lots with chances. HOLKHAM BAY remains handily weighted despite going up 6 lb for his recent Kempton success so is taken to follow up at the chief expense of Dare To Hope, who didn't enjoy the rub of the green when eighth at Newcastle last time. The Waiting Game, Cuban Breeze and Hello Me all have winning form here and need factoring into this competitive handicap too.

A six-timer for The Waiting Game isn't stretching the imagination but DARE TO HOPE had no luck last week and still looked in form.

Moonspirit made most to score from a poor draw here last month and a 5lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent another bold bid with the cheekpieces retrained. However, there is also a lot to like about the chances of DOUBLE TIME, who has held his form well on turf and he gets the nod reverting to the all-weather off just 3lb higher than his last winning mark (at Wolverhampton in March). Larado and King Of Scotia complete the shortlist.

Preference is for KING OF SCOTIA, who scored on AW in Ireland last year and has made a solid start for his new yard. Moonspirit and Double Time should also go well in an open-looking contest.

Top of the list is 3yo MOONSPIRIT (nap), who made it 2-6 with her comfortable win over C&D last month and is open to more progress.

Cliffs Of Capri (fourth) and Amathus (fifth) meet on identical terms to their encounter at Kempton 17 days ago and rate as players given they drop in class this evening. However, TAMALUK has more scope and, having dropped to a competitive mark, could be worth chancing after a respectable third-placed finish in a deeper-looking fillies' handicap over C&D a fortnight ago. My Opinion also tends to go well here and is another to seriously consider.

CLIFFS OF CAPRI is a long time without a win but his recent Kempton effort suggested he can still prove a force at this lower level and he gets the verdict over Amathus, who arrives after a pair of decent efforts in defeat on all-weather. Tamaluk remains on a workable mark and is another who shouldn't be discounted.

After doing well to finish where he did at Kempton, this might be the day that the grand old lad CLIFFS OF CAPRI snaps a losing run.
