13:30 Navan Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Joseph O'Brien's MATHAN can progress from an opening fourth at the Curragh. The horse in second came out and won a Naas maiden by almost five lengths to strengthen the form. Bodhi Bear looks threatening on this drop in trip. He built upon a debut third in Naas when filling the runner-up berth in the valuable Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final at the same track. Marianne North has solid form in quality maidens and is interesting on her first start for Harry Rogers. Asdana showed up well for a long way in a massive field at the Curragh before finishing fourth and a first-time visor is tried on her now.

MATHAN fetched plenty as a yearling and shaped well when fourth on debut in a big-field maiden at the Curragh 25 days ago. Open to improvement, he gets the nod to build on that effort at this slightly shorter trip. Bodhi Bear, Just Jump and Marianne North are others fancied to be in the shake up.

This looks relatively straightforward for BODHI BEAR who has strong claims based on his second in a valuable auction race at Naas

13:45 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A newcomer landed this contest last year and it may pay to side with another this time in the shape of LIVE EACH DAY. A daughter of multiple Group 1 winner Persian King, the William Haggas-trained youngster should have no issue with the ground and is preferred to the well-bred Qarlyga, who makes her debut for a stable that is always worth watching with fillies at this track. Of those with experience, Hamilton second Misty Sky and top-weight Fleetwater stand out.

Given the form on offer, a newcomer may well be up to the challenge and before the benefit of market clues, QARLYGA, Live Each Day and With Zest are preferred in that order.

The form standard isn't daunting, so interesting newcomers WITH ZEST, Qarlyga and Live Each Day comprise the shortlist.

13:55 Fontwell Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having acquitted herself with credit in two competitive bumpers, LAGERTHA may prove the answer in this tricky opener. Katy Price's filly has set a good foundation to build on now tackling timber for the first time in public and she edges the verdict over fellow hurdles debutant La Higuera. The five-year-old boasts a point-to-point background and posted a respectable fourth on his Rules debut in an Exeter bumper in April. French Symphony and Just Lucky Sivola are also noted.

FRENCH SYMPHONY showed plenty in bumpers last season and, with the longer trip bound to suit now going hurdling, he makes plenty of appeal, especially with his yard very much amongst the winners. Lagertha is another who shaped with encouragement in bumpers and shouldn't be taken lightly, with successful-pointer Tommy The Tank completing the shortlist.

Placed behind a subsequent Listed winner in a Doncaster bumper in January, FRENCH SYMPHONY is the most appealing option here.

14:00 Navan Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MY GIRL SIOUX is a long-standing maiden, but came home well to be beaten half a length into second at Bellewstown which gives her claims. Saturn Seven is more than capable of a big run and James Ryan partnered her when they were just pipped by a head in the Curragh. Never Shout Never disappointed in that Curragh contest, but has a host of placed form this year and is on a dangerous mark for his new trainer. Art Of Unity is giving apprentice Julian Pietropaolo a great start to his career with victories banked in Bellewstown and the Curragh. Another 7lb penalty poses questions, but he is in terrific form. The veteran Stanhope shouldn't be dismissed lightly.

SATURN SEVEN shaped a bit better than the bare result having fallen to her last winning mark when seventh at the Curragh recently, the gaps not appearing until too late. She gets the narrow vote to come out on top ahead of Bellewstown runner-up My Girl Sioux. Never Shout Never and Curragh-scorer Art of Unity complete the shortlist.

Marginal preference is for May course winner STANHOPE, who has a decent chance of turning Curragh tables on Art Of Unity

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PRESENTING PETE only found one too good on his chasing debut over 2m5f at Sedgefield at the beginning of the month and the seven-year-old can defy a 2lb rise to go a place better here. Next Left also hit the crossbar on his most recent outing and could prove to be the main danger, ahead of Mahler Moon and Impatient.

NEXT LEFT has plenty of chase experience in the book and should appreciate the drop back in trip here. He can bag his third success in this sphere. Presenting Pete and Roger Pol are feared most.

Useful hurdler ROGER POL is open to improvement on his chase debut and is taken to score for a trainer among the winners.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An intriguing novice with a whole host of illustrious pedigrees to choose from, and it may be the soon-to-retire Sir Michael Stoute who comes out on top with PINHOLE. A brother to Fillies' Mile winner Quadrilateral, who struck on debut herself, the son of Frankel is preferred to Mudbir, who hails from a family that the Gosdens have been very successful with for these owners in recent years. Humam should handle this ground well, being a half-brother to mudlark Vadream, while Due West is another to note.

HIDDEN SECRET was held back by greenness when down the field in a novice won by his smart stablemate Ancient Truth on the July Course this summer. He's been gelded in the meantime and a much better showing can be expected. There are some well-bred newcomers for powerful stables in opposition, the standout being Mudbir, who's from a family connections' have had plenty of success with. Due West is another notable debutant.

All of the newcomers have good credentials, particularly MUDBIR, Due West, Humam and Pinhole.

14:30 Fontwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Easter Icon impressed with how he travelled when making a winning handicap bow in this sphere over C&D in August. Although a 7lb higher mark looks more than workable, testing ground conditions could prove the five-year-old's undoing and preference is for GOLDEN AMBITION. The Ben Pauling-trained gelding found only an unexposed rival too strong over 2m3f here earlier this month and a 6lb rise in the ratings doesn't look insurmountable. Stage Show is also of interest stepping up in distance.

Despite failing to land heavy support here 19 days ago, GOLDEN AMBITION didn't do a lot wrong in pulling a long way clear with a handicap debutant and he can go one place better this time. Easter Icon is second choice, with What's My Line expected to step up on his reappearance run when well behind the selection.

Ben Pauling's GOLDEN AMBITION found one too good when heavily backed here this month but could still be well treated after a 6lb rise.

14:35 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

No Nay Never colt MORALLY SOUND could be worth chancing on his debut. He made a healthy six-figure sum at the sales and is related to a couple of multiple winners in Britain. You would think there is one of these races in the 90-rated Snapdragon and, if he puts his best foot forward, he ought to be heavily involved. Turners Cross was a close second over C&D last month and that was easily his best performance to date. Real Life went off joint favourite for a Curragh maiden in May, but weakened out of contention. He has had a break and could show marked improvement. Lunigiana, Kilmood Susan and Vanilla Baby are far from out of contention.

A good opportunity for SNAPDRAGON to finally get off the mark back in maiden company. Turners Cross took a step forward when runner-up over this C&D last time and is next best ahead of the consistent Lunigiana.

Perhaps a chance can be taken with MISS TRAVERS, who was quite green on debut at Cork and should improve for that and the stiffer track

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It is hard to oppose FANCY STUFF, who arrives here on the back of two impressive victories earlier in the year. Even a 10lb rise for the most recent of those wins may not be enough to stop her from making it a hat-trick. Duke Of Luckley is clearly next best following two second-placed finishes at Worcester. The rest all have questions to answer, but Mr Mackay is just about the pick of them.

FANCY STUFF is thriving now and the manner in which she won at Bangor last time suggests she can complete the hat-trick back from a break. Duke of Luckley has jumped much better since switched to positive tactics and rates the main threat.

The in-form FANCY STUFF is an unexposed entrant and she may not have stopped winning just yet.

14:55 Newmarket Maiden (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A 400,000gns son of Frankel out of Prix de l'Opera winner Villa Marina, THE CURSOR is likely to relish this ground and he can strike on debut for connections that are more than adept at readying newcomers. Bred in the purple having cost a huge sum, Arabian Poet may have been a disappointment on debut on the July Course, but better can be expected here and the fact William Buick seemingly prefers him to stablemate Tremorgio is a plus.

THE CURSOR makes plenty of appeal for a stable who won this 12 months ago and he could just be worth chancing on debut before the benefit of market clues. Arabian Poet, who proved too green to make an impact on debut, is surely capable of better, and along with his stablemate Tremorgio, may well emerge as the lead dangers.

Arabian Poet, Mersea Island and St Mawes have possibilities but preference is for interesting newcomer THE CURSOR.

15:05 Fontwell Handicap Chase (Class 5) 18f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Celtic Ned is making his seasonal/chase debut off what looks an attractive mark and it will be interesting to see how the six-year-old fares in the market. Mutual Respect and Hatos are others who could play a part in the finish, but KOENIGSSTERN gets the nod on the basis that he's potentially well treated on his chase bow and could really improve this season for tackling a fence.

MUTUAL RESPECT needed some luck when winning off this mark at Worcester last month but he finished clear with a subsequent winner that day and this is a weaker race. The likeable Call Off The Dogs must be respected, while Koenigsstern is a potential improver now chasing.

After running well to make the frame three consecutive times in the spring, WILL STING may exploit a favourable mark.

15:10 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Johnny Murtagh's FINAL CURTAIN has posted a couple of fourth places and a third in decent maidens and appears ready to make the breakthrough in first-time cheekpieces. Beatrix Power has been freshened up since running creditably in all four outings to date. She was last seen finishing third in Down Royal and the horses in front of her have endorsed that form. Platino Bianco put in a good shift off the front over further at this track a fortnight ago. She dropped to third at the finish, but the runner-up has since obliged in Dundalk. Many Thanks was just a head behind Platino Bianco in fourth, while Court Phoenix outran his odds in third at the Curragh.

BEATRIX POWER sets the standard on several pieces of form and with the prospect of more to come, she's expected to get off the mark back in maiden company. Final Curtain and White Clover look the main dangers.

Preference is for the twice-raced COURT PHOENIX, who shaped at the Curragh last time as though this trip would suit and should improve

15:18 Southwell NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Little Watson has to be of interest having scored on his debut at Stratford in May, but marginal preference is for DEEP PURPLE. Dan Skelton's gelding only found one too good on his Rules bow at Warwick three weeks ago and that recent run may just give him the edge. The Long Walk makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and should not be underestimated on his first outing.

DEEP PURPLE has already won a point and, having found one too good on his first go under Rules, he's fancied to gain compensation at the possible expense of debut winner Little Watson. The Long Walk is one to be interested in if the market speaks in his favour.

The debutant THE LONG WALK represents a team enjoying a good number of first-time-out winners this season and he could be the latest.

15:30 Newmarket Handicap (Class 2) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

ANNIVERSARY lost little in defeat when unable to concede 3lb to a now 101-rated rival at Epsom last month. An opening mark of 91 looks extremely workable and Ralph Beckett's colt is taken to regain the winning thread. Fellow nursery debutant Watching Stars made it third-time lucky when opening his account at Thirsk and first-time cheekpieces could improve him further. The son of Sea The Stars is feared most, ahead of Harmonia.

WATCHING STARS made it third time lucky with a gutsy display at Thirsk last month and, with this step up in distance sure to suit, Charlie Appleby's colt can get the better of Anniversary, who has made a promising start and remains open to improvement now handicapping up in trip. Harmonia and Lazieelunch can fight out minor honours.

Still open to progress, ANNIVERSARY could well defy top weight. Steadily improving Watching Stars is feared most.

15:40 Fontwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Oscars Moonshine is worth noting on his first start for a new yard having been formerly trained by Paul Nicholls. The latter is represented by INCA DE LAFAYETTE, who will relish the step back up in distance and has solid claims on his victory on soft going at Taunton in January. Whatsupwithyou is another to consider based on his second at Cheltenham in April, while Colours On Canvas landed a double on testing ground at Plumpton last season and will have benefitted from a recent outing on the level.

The betting should prove useful with a number making their seasonal return but INCA DE LAFAYETTE made a successful reappearance 12 months ago and, having ended the campaign in good order, he's narrowly selected to continue the good work. Junkanoo appeals as being on a handy mark and is respected provided the trip doesn't stretch him. Oscars Moonshine completes the shortlist.

15:45 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FAIR TAXES may be able to strike back on home soil after a couple of good runs in Britain. Ross O'Sullivan's charge was third on two trips across the water in August, most recently at Chester, and remains on the same mark of 79. Rathbranchurch ran a big race when second to Art Of Unity at the Curragh six days ago and could go well again here for young 10lb claimer Terry Casey. Mickey The Steel has been slipping a few pounds in the ratings and is a C&D winner, so has to come into calculations.

An open-looking handicap with the vote going to MICKEY THE STEEL, who is best under these sort of conditions and has dropped to a very tempting mark. Rathbranchurch and Emerald Harmony are just a couple of potential threats.

Winner of this race two years ago, MICKEY THE STEEL is likely to be close to peak form again following a recent Bellewstown run

15:53 Southwell Novices Hurdle (Class 4) 16f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ASIAN STAR showed enough to suggest she will be winning over timber sooner rather than later when third at Newton Abbot on her hurdling debut. The runner-up has subsequently boosted the form and Dan Skelton's mare makes plenty of appeal with improvement likely. Irish Chorus has to come into the reckoning on her second at Warwick in May and is preferred to stable companion Rockola. Lady Buttercup landed a bumper at Warwick on her reappearance and can make her presence felt now hurdling.

A slowly-run race counted against ASIAN STAR when she was third at Newton Abbot a month ago but that race has already worked out well and she's well worth another chance. Mary is a pretty solid opponent, while Bellas Bridge demands consideration given her ability in bumpers.

Irish Chorus and Asian Star represent top yards, but BELLAS BRIDGE has shown solid form in bumpers, so could offer a solution.

16:00 Kempton Claimer (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

AIDAN ANDABETTIN may not have shown much in recent starts, but he should be suited by stepping back up in trip and returning to a track where he ran well when fourth in July. The booking of champion jockey Oisin Murphy is another plus so he gets the vote ahead of Dion Baker and C&D winner Treacherous, who had been in fine form prior to a disappointing effort when upped in grade at Bath last month.

AIDAN ANDABETTIN are Treacherous are at the opposite end of the age spectrum but look the pair to focus on down in class. Marginal preference is for the Richard Spencer colt with Oisin Murphy taking over.

An unappealing betting event in which TREACHEROUS may be able to capitalise on the favourable terms. Aidan Andabettin is next best.

16:05 Newmarket Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Surveyor endured a rough passage when finishing third at Wolverhampton earlier this month and she must enter calculations reverting to turf. However, rain-softened ground may not enable James Fanshawe's filly to show her best and preference is for QUEEN'S REIGN. The daughter of Siyouni wasn't disgraced when seventh in a Listed event at Ascot and a bold bid is forecast back in handicap company. Twirling and Zapphire look best of the remainder.

ZAPPHIRE ran right up to her best when third at Redcar earlier this month and looks the safest option in a tricky-looking handicap. Market support for Lunar Eclipse could prove significant, as she remains open to improvement, whilst Surveyor is also much respected.

One-time Oaks entry LUNAR ECLIPSE (nap) is particularly interesting off an opening mark of 81. Zapphire is second choice.

16:15 Fontwell Handicap Chase (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Following a C&D double, INSTANT GAMBLER remains unbeaten over fences having completed a hat-trick with his latest success at Hexham. He won with plenty left in the tank on that occasion and a 7lb rise may not be enough to anchor Alexandra Dunn's progressive chaser. Langley Hundred has a shout off his current rating, though the soft ground is a worry for him, and Caeruleum makes more appeal having ended last season with a creditable second at Bangor.

INSTANT GAMBLER made it 3-3 over the larger obstacles at Hexham earlier this month and with further improvement on the cards, Alexandra Dunn's 8-y-o is fancied to remain unbeaten in this sphere at the expense of old-rival Eurkash, who shaped quite well over timber when fourth at Stratford recently and is of more interest returned to fences. Samourai One has Harry Cobden on board for the first time and he can edge out Caeruleum for third spot.

Instant Gambler has been a revelation over fences but EURKASH was second to him here last month and is 15lb better off now.

16:20 Navan Maiden 14f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Galway Plate winner PINKERTON is a fascinating runner here and has the gears to win at this trip on the Flat. Noel Meade's charge makes his first start since winning the midsummer showpiece at Ballybrit and should have nice ground for his first run under Flat rules. Ballydoyle colt Double Agent sets the standard off his mark of 83, but was a touch disappointing when turned over at a short price in Thurles last time. Sanctity Of Space stayed on past him to finish second to Soul Of Spain that day and may be able to confirm the form.

PINKERTON is a useful jumper and the bar isn't set all that high for this Flat debut, so he's preferred to Double Agent, who may yet have some improvement in him. Sanctity of Space is also likely to be involved.

It looked as if DOUBLE AGENT failed to stay 2m at Thurles. He has a reaIlstic chance of turning the tables on Sanctity Of Space

16:28 Southwell Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Bumper scorer WICKED THOUGHTS is a brother to a winner over timber and Paul Nicholls' inmate looks to have strong claims of making a successful start over hurdles. Holokea landed a NH Flat race at Worcester during the summer and will have benefited from a recent outing at Chepstow. He can have a say in proceedings on his hurdling bow and makes more appeal than Rocket Man. Get Cracking has struggled in both starts over hurdles so far.

WICKED THOUGHTS laid a solid platform for hurdling in bumpers last season and this looks an excellent opportunity to get off the perfect start. Holokea proved to be a disappointment at Chepstow recently, so Rocket Man is preferred for forecast purposes.

The Musselburgh bumper winner WICKED THOUGHTS rates as a fascinating new recruit to this discipline for Paul Nicholls.

16:35 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FORT AUGUSTUS has steadily improved with each start and this looks like an ideal opportunity to break the maiden following a strong runner-up effort over C&D. Behind him on that occasion were Skellig Isle (third) and Sweet Sonata (fourth), who are expected to be thereabouts again. Curzon is another to note on his nursery debut following an encouraging second at Nottingham.

FORT AUGUSTUS made an encouraging start in nurseries when runner-up over C&D 2 weeks ago and looks sure to go well again. Sweet Sonata caught the eye in the same race so is next best ahead of Curzon.

Rogue Bullet still has a bigger run in him but CURZON is of interest on this nursery debut and he gets the nod.

16:40 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PRESENT TIMES offered a lot of encouragement when second, despite doing plenty wrong, on his debut over C&D last month and with the promise of improvement to come, he looks the one to side with in what should be a very informative affair. Too Don Juan and I Am I Said give Ralph Beckett a strong hand, with the former looking the pick after a promising fourth at Salisbury on his introduction. Recent Newcastle runner-up Byblos is also noteworthy.

Although already gelded, PRESENT TIMES showed up well when runner-up over C&D on debut and, with improvement forthcoming, he's fancied to edge out Byblos, who is closely matched with him on form. I Am I Said is a newcomer to note.

Smartly bred BYBLOS is taken to show further progress and get off the mark. Present Times is feared most.

16:45 Fontwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 19f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LADY SALVADOR will be sharper for a recent comeback run over these obstacles. Still in contention approaching the last hurdle, she faded in the closing stages to finish third over further that day, but looks capable of winning over timber off her current mark and gets another chance now dropped back in trip. Tuscan Rose can feature again having been raised only 4lb for winning over 3m at Taunton in March, while the unexposed Miss Popalong placed over C&D in May and could have a say in the outcome on only her second start in a handicap.

After making a promising start to her career, DRUMLEE SPUD finished well held in a Grade 2 contest at Newbury on handicap debut when last seen in March, but back on softer ground she can take advantage of this drop in grade. Tuscan Rose showed improved form in handicaps last season and is feared most, ahead of Miss Popalong.

This is a huge drop in grade for DRUMLEE SPUD (nap), who could be far too good for this field.

16:50 Navan Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KOOL ONE has run well on his last couple of outings and looks capable of landing one of these off his current mark. The Kool Kompany gelding steps up in trip again after two placed efforts over a mile and a half and that might prove the difference. Tudor Manor ran well over this trip when chasing home Sir Allen at Listowel and he could be a big player off just a 1lb higher figure. Forlio has been knocking on the door and is another who has to be on the shortlist.

TUDOR MANOR couldn't deal with a rejuventated rival at Listowel last time but he was clear of the others and is worth a chance to gain compensation. Elusive Guy is holding his form well and should be thereabouts along with Kool One.

Wide open and a tentative vote going to CAFE CON LECHE, who didn't appear to quite stay 2m last time and will appreciate this trip

17:00 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Goblet Of Fire has registered three victories on the all-weather since his respectable fourth at Bangor in May and Nicky Henderson's charge must enter calculations. However, TOONAGH WARRIOR has posted several creditable efforts in defeat since his Wetherby triumph in November last year and he may offer slightly more value on his return to action. Ascension Day also makes some appeal now back at 2m.

GOBLET OF FIRE has improved further on the Flat since last seen over hurdles and Nicky Henderson's 4-y-o makes plenty of appeal returned to this sphere from what could well prove a lenient mark. Jeudidee and Ascension Day head up the dangers, along with Toonagh Warrior who isn't out of things on his seasonal bow.

The 4yo GOBLET OF FIRE (nap) has thrived for Nicky Henderson and could be thrown-in from a mark of 108.

17:08 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Narrowly denied over C&D in July and a respectable fourth over 1m here last time out, LOCH LEVEN must enter calculations as she sets the standard and has experience on her side. Add to that Oisin Murphy is doing the steering in the plate and she boasts sound claims. Newcomers Crest Of Light, Penfolds Grange and Transparent should be monitored for market support.

LOCH LEVEN went close in a C&D novice 3 starts back and has a big shout if reproducing that in a thin maiden. String of Pearls and Transparent are interesting newcomers.

Loch Leven sets the standard but she's not bombproof and one of the newcomers may have her measure. CREST OF LIGHT is suggested.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Punters will need to be in a forgiving mood with MEGALITHIC, but it may pay to do so. He hasn't cut much ice in his two starts in nurseries but he showed a useful level of form prior to that and, sporting first-time blinkers off what may transpire to be a workable mark, he gets a tentative nod. Veydari kept on well when scoring over 6f on testing ground at Pontefract and merits consideration, while Al Misbar has shown enough in his three qualifying runs to suggest that he can play a hand on his first appearance as a gelding.

AL MISBAR hasn't lived up to his huge price tag as yet but, after a gelding operation, there's scope for him to step forward now handicapping and he's preferred to last-time-out winners Veydari and We Dare To Dream in a competitive nursery.

The attractively bred NOBLE GUEST could settle better now he's been gelded and he's taken to make a winning nursery debut.

17:25 Navan Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RAUZAN looks potentially very well treated back on the level. The Australia gelding was a big improver for Eoin Doyle over jumps during the summer, winning four on the bounce, and it's no surprise to see connections try him back on the Flat for his first run under these Rules since August 2023. Say It So has been holding his form well and recorded his second win over hurdles at Killarney earlier in the month. He had run well at the same venue on his last outing on the Flat and, off just a 2lb higher mark, he's a danger. Billie Frechette ran well when edged out close home at Roscommon and is another to consider.

YOUNG LUCY shaped encouragingly after 11 weeks off when fourth at Sligo and is potentially on a good mark if building on that back from another break. Improving fillies Lady Kai and Billie Frechette head the dangers.

A four-time winner over hurdles since last seen on the Flat. RAUZAN could prove nicely treated here

17:33 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

QUEENS VENTURE justified strong support in the market when making a winning handicap bow at Market Rasen last week. Dan Skelton's filly scored with plenty in hand and she is sure to take the world of beating under a 7lb penalty. Fashionelle is in form and a potential improver back up to the distance of her Worcester triumph. She may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of last-time-out Uttoxeter winner Just Chasing May.

QUEENS VENTURE made a mockery of an opening mark of 91 at Market Rasen last week and with plenty more to offer, Dan Skelton's 4-y-o is strongly fancied to follow up under a penalty. Just Chasing May looked one to follow in opening his account in thoroughly dominant fashion at Uttoxeter in the summer, so he heads up the dangers on return, with Fashionelle and Stuti another couple worth considering, too.

Having won with plenty in hand when stepped up in trip on her handicap debut, QUEENS VENTURE is taken to successfully defy a penalty.

17:40 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CHAR displayed plenty of promise when filling second place on his debut over this distance at Salisbury earlier in the month and Roger Varian's colt is hard to oppose on the back of that performance. Bouvier also brings strong form claims to the table, but could be vulnerable to the less-exposed selection. Any market support for El Bosh on his racecourse bow would have to be noted.

CHAR was noted finishing to good effect once the penny dropped when runner-up on debut at Salisbury 3 weeks ago. Open to improvement with that under his belt, he looks to hold sound claims of going one place better. Bouvier, despite a less-than-ideal draw, appealing newcomer El Bosh and Kodi Fire are others worth a look.

Kodi Fire can step forward again over this new trip but CHAR is fancied to build on his promising Salisbury debut.

18:10 Kempton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

QAZAQ has been off the track since winning on his debut over this trip at Chelmsford in December, but the son of Kingman has been found an ideal opportunity to maintain his unbeaten record. Tex is the pick of the rest with experience but has plenty to find with the selection if he's on form, so the main threat may come from the newcomer Huntly Lodge.

QAZAQ created an excellent impression when making a winning start under a hands-and-heels ride at Chelmsford 10 months ago and this appeals as an outstanding opportunity to maintain his unbeaten record. Tex was possibly unsuited by conditions at Leicester last week and looks the one to follow the selection home if returning to something like his debut form.

This revolves around QAZAQ who won in fine style on his debut at Chelmsford last December. He's been found a weak race for his comeback.

18:40 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 7f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BERRY CLEVER had plenty in hand when winning over C&D last week and a repeat of that effort may be good enough to take this contest as well, despite a 6lb penalty. Recent Southwell second Rawaasi is likely to be in the mix once again, while King David edges out Old Chums and Thorntonledale Max to be best of the rest.

BERRY CLEVER found improvement to run out a cosy winner over C&D 9 days ago and is worth a chance to defy the penalty at the possible expense of the in-form King David. Rawaasi is another player if she can back up her return to form at Southwell recently.

He had been looking exposed but BERRY CLEVER got off the mark in fine style over C&D last week and can defy a 6lb penalty.

19:10 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RACING DEMON showed a likeable attitude when scoring over a mile at Bath and, after faring best of those held up when an admirable third over the same C&D subsequently, he gets the vote to return to winning ways off an unchanged mark. Ten Commitments wasn't able to show his true colours when sixth over 7f at Chelmsford and could bounce back now eased 1lb. Argentali didn't cut much ice on her handicap debut over 7f at Lingfield, but she may be capable of better now sporting first-time cheekpieces.

UNREAL CONNECTION has taken well to the fitting of blinkers in recent starts and can get back on the scoreboard here. Ten Commitments and Racing Demon head the list of dangers.

Racing Demon can go well but it may be worth chancing BIGBERTIEBASSETT off a reduced mark now returned to 1m and tried in blinkers.

19:40 Kempton Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Two from two in his career, DOLCE COURAGE looked a gelding to keep firmly on side when scoring at Newcastle last season, pulling clear with the runner-up. Provided he is fully tuned up on his return from a prolonged absence, he looks the one to side with now making his handicap debut for the in-form Gosden team. Whitcombe Rockstar impressed when bringing up a hat-trick in the London Mile Final over C&D and merits respect off 6lb higher, while the class-dropping Gorak can also go well.

DOLCE COURAGE looked a useful prospect when winning a pair of novice races last year and he is taken to make a successful reappearance with more still to offer as he goes handicapping. He can see off the challenge of Whitcombe Rockstar, who is respected as he bids for a sixth win of the season, with Gloucestershire completing the shortlist.

Dolce Courage and Gorak are of interest but WHITCOMBE ROCKSTAR (nap) goes from strength to strength and can win again.

20:10 Kempton Handicap (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

CADOGAN PLACE was tapped for toe at a crucial stage when a staying-on third over 1m4f on his return from a break here last month and, tackling 2m for the first time, the promising son of Frankel looks well capable of making a successful handicap bow. Runner-up behind an in-form stayer over track and trip, Red Flyer looks the main danger off an unchanged mark, although Duke Of Oxford warrants respect off just 1lb higher than when third in the Northumberland Plate on his penultimate start.

Having looked a good prospect when winning on debut, CADOGAN PLACE shaped as if needing the emphasis more on stamina when third at this course last month, so he could yet do better upped in trip on his handicap bow. He is preferred to Duke of Oxford, who can bounce back having had a wide trip on his latest outing, with Galactic Charm also considered.

This year's Northumberland Plate third DUKE OF OXFORD, possesses the ability, stamina and track craft to expose any flaws elsewhere.
