12:30 Curragh Maiden 6f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HOSTILITY was fourth in a hot maiden here over 7f before finishing runner-up over the same trip on yielding ground at Listowel. He raced prominently last time and positive tactics are likely to be employed again over this shorter distance. Full Power sported blinkers for his debut when a long way behind the selection at Listowel and will need to take a big step forward to contend. Pickersgill was over six lengths behind Hostility here in August but showed notable improvement when placed over this trip on easy ground at Naas. Saracen, a stablemate of Hostility and ridden by the stable jockey, cost 500,000 euro as a yearling, while Corcovado is a half-brother to three smart sprinters.

SARACEN looks a likely type on paper and is taken to make a winning start over stablemate Hostility, who sets the standard. Wish This caught the eye on her nursery bow 2 weeks ago and is another to consider.

Joseph O'Brien sets a poser. HOSTILITY has strong form claims and is just preferred to stablemate Saracen who lacks experience

13:00 Curragh Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

An extra furlong would be optimal for MERISI DIAMOND but underfoot conditions should make this enough of a test for Joanna Morgan's progressive five-year-old. Well handicapped when winning over C&D in March, he has gone up another 14lb in total for a pair of 7f victories at Roscommon in recent weeks. A big hike may not bother this powerfully-built son of Caravaggio who relishes testing ground. Jon Riggens is coming down to an attractive mark and wasn't beaten far at Naas last time. Bid For Chester, a winner over 5f here on heavy ground in April, is also slipping down the ratings and this trip will suit better than the 7f over which he was third at Naas.

BID FOR CHESTER gets the nod to build on a back-to-form third at Naas 10 days ago. The Organiser has a reduced mark to work with and showed better signs last time so he's next on the list ahead of last week's Roscommon scorer Merisi Diamond. Unexposed handicap newcomer Sakakawea is another interesting runner.

It may be worth giving another chance to Bellewstown winner MILE END who did not the run of a messy race here earlier this month

13:30 Curragh Group 3 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Aidan O'Brien runs four last-time-out maiden winners, none of which are proven on soft ground, and much will depend on their ability to handle underfoot conditions. Ryan Moore is on GISELLE, who has been odds-on for both starts, including when runner-up to a subsequent Group 2-winning stablemate at Leopardstown in June. Not seen for four months after that, she returned with a victory over 7f here and is likely to come on for that outing. Whirl coped with a slight ease when winning over 7f at Doncaster, while the other Ballydoyle inmates, Island Hopping and Mint Candy, have won over this trip and are also open to further improvement. Goffs Million third Celtic Motif has place claims again.

This step up to a mile should suit CERCENE, who landed a Naas maiden in good style last month and, with further improvement likely, she can take this step up in class in her stride. Ballydoyle first-string Giselle is feared most but only marginally as Celtic Motif, who has shown plenty in a trio of 7f maidens, is also high on the shortlist. Giselle's stablemates Island Hopping and Whirl are also of interest.

If Frankel filly GISELLE handles the ground she may be good enough to cope with the step up in class from her 7f course maiden win

13:55 Yarmouth Stakes (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

William Buick picks BLAZING SPIRIT over Bright Future in this contest for the Godolphin team and that might prove significant. The daughter of Ghaiyyath changed hands for 340,000 euros as a yearling and is related to a few Group winners, so it would be no surprise to see her make a big impression first time out. Regal Agenda could only manage fifth on her debut at Thirsk but she might get closer with that experience under her belt. Any market confidence behind Wajbah would be interesting.

This may go to one of the newcomers with Charlie Appleby's BLAZING SPIRIT making most appeal. Wajbah is also of interest, whilst Regal Agenda may do best of those with experience.

The form standard is ordinary. Most of the newcomers are interesting types, particularly BLAZING SPIRIT and Wajbah.

14:05 Curragh Maiden 12f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ELANA OSARIO has progressed with each run and had Radar Ahead nearly three lengths behind when beating all bar Get over 1m3f at Killarney earlier this month. The Paddy Twomey-trained filly has scope for further improvement and is proven on heavy ground. Rubies Are Red is the top-rated and was highly tried earlier this season, but couldn't take advantage of a couple of opportunities since in maidens over this trip at Bellewstown and Galway. Valinor was runner-up over an extended 1m1f here on her second start, while Bloom Vega showed promise in the spring and is another to consider along with Gaoth Chuil, a useful handicap hurdler who will certainly not lack for stamina.

ELANA OSARIO has improved with each start and is fancied to open her account. The fantastically-bred Rubies Are Red, who has contested the English and Irish Oaks among other races this year, has to be feared back in a maiden with Ryan Moore up for the first time since her eye-catching effort at Lingfield in the spring. Radar Ahead is another to note.

The 88-rated Rubies Are Red is risky. The vote goes to ELANA OSARIO who has the measure of Radar Ahead on Killarney running

14:10 Exeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having landed a bumper at Warwick in April, ACE OF SPADES failed to justify favouritism when only managing fourth at Uttoxeter earlier in the month. However, Dan Skelton's five-year-old should have learned a great deal from that experience and is well worth another chance on only his second start over the smaller obstacles. Jackpot Des Bordes struck on his bumper debut before finishing a respectable second under a penalty at Wincanton last time, and he is one to take seriously on his first start over hurdles. Walk In The Hills completes the shortlist.

JACKPOT DES BORDES did well in bumpers last season and gets the nod to make a winning start to his hurdle career for the Paul Nicholls team. Ace of Spades could step up a good deal on his first attempt over hurdles and is second choice ahead of Tom Doniphon, another who displayed plenty of promise in bumpers last term.

Paul Nicholls' JACKPOT DES BORDES made an exciting prospect work pretty hard in a bumper in April and can score on his hurdling debut.

14:30 Yarmouth Stakes (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Force And Valour wasn't beaten far when third on his nursery debut at York last month and he should mount a bold bid now stepping back into a novice event. However, the vote goes to COROLLA POINT, who was an 800,000gns breeze-up purchase and has plenty of speed in his pedigree. The son of Blue Point might not have to be anything out of the ordinary in order to make a winning debut. Bacor completes the shortlist.

COROLLA POINT appeals on pedigree and may be able to make a winning debut. So Darn Hot and Think of A Name rate the principal dangers.

There isn't much between the main form contenders on these terms. The percentage call goes to THINK OF A NAME.

14:35 Curragh Stakes 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CHALLY CHUTE has won three times over this distance and probably ran a career best when just denied in the featured Guinness Handicap at the Galway Festival this summer. The selection will appreciate the drop back to 1m4f after weakening in the closing stages of the Irish Cesarewitch. Helvic Dream bids to repeat his success in this race last year and will have ground conditions to suit. The former Group 1 winner has been mainly campaigned over hurdles since but still retains plenty of ability, while it will be fascinating to see how strong Sonnyboyliston is in the market after a lengthy layoff. He won the Ebor Handicap and the Irish St Leger back in 2021 but hasn't been seen since filling the runner-up spot in a valuable handicap at Riyadh in February 2022.

CHALLY CHUTE was down the field in the Irish Cesarewitch here recently but this is a less taxing assignment and he is clearly the one to beat on these terms. It's likely that Helvic Dream will emerge as the main danger, with Smooth Tom best of the rest ahead of the Ascending and Bright Legend.

Helvic Dream may struggle to give 7lb to CHALLY CHUTE who is better suited to this trip than the 2m of the Cesarewitch last time.

14:43 Exeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SORCELEUR wasn't beaten far when fifth in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April and he now makes his debut over hurdles. Paul Nicholls' four-year-old looks to have been found a golden opportunity and his main threat is possibly Pony Soprano, who made the frame at Sandown on his only start in a bumper. The son of Blue Bresil might prove a different proposition over hurdles and has to be considered, while Loki's Mischief can fight it out for the minor honours.

SORCELEUR progressed with each run in bumpers, putting up a useful effort in a Grade 2 at Aintree on final outing, and will surely take a fair bit of beating if transferring that sort of form to hurdles at the first attempt. Pony Soprano is in good hands and seems likely to build on his third in a Sandown bumper now going hurdling up in trip, with Dangerous Touch fancied to fill the places.

Preference is for Paul Nicholls' SORCELEUR who brings the best bumper form. Dangerous Touch looks to be the main danger.

15:05 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Albert Lasker only found a well-fancied favourite too good over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle last month and he should go well off 1lb lower here. However, he will need to transfer that form to turf and, with that in mind, the vote goes to BUDDING. Hughie Morrison's three-year-old encountered traffic problems at a crucial stage when only managing fourth at Kempton last month and the handicapper might have been lenient in dropping her 1lb for that effort. With a clearer passage this time around, she could be the one to beat. Sneaky Blinder is another to note.

BUDDING is proven in the mud and might prove the answer under Tom Marquand. Fellow 3-y-os Sneaky Blinder, who has a first outing for the Robert Stephens yard here, and Albert Lasker may give Hughie Morrison's filly most to think about.

Course winners LENNY'S SPIRIT and Lost In Time are attractively treated. Budding and Albert Lasker complete the shortlist.

15:10 Curragh Handicap 10f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ALFALFA has been lightly raced this season but indicated he's ready to add to a 1m4f Thurles success on soft ground around this time last year when finishing strongly into third behind Bear Profit over this trip at Naas recently. The Tim Doyle-trained gelding was given plenty to do on that occasion and Wayne Hassett now claims a valuable 5lb. Starting Monday relishes soft ground and also came home well when third at Listowel last time. However, he's probably best suited by a mile and may find this distance a shade too far. Party Dress won well on soft ground at Tipperary back in the spring while others to consider include Nans View, Aljadel and Tartaraghan.

STARTING MONDAY shaped as if back in form with cheekpieces refitted last time and gets the nod with Billy Lee back in the saddle. Last week's Naas third Alfalfa heads the many dangers along with Tartaraghan and Nans View.

Running on at Naas last time having had plenty to do, ALFALFA will be better suited by the more testing ground today.

15:18 Exeter Handicap Chase (Class 5) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DUNSTALL RAMBLER put in a poor round of jumping when failing to fire at Stratford last time, but he is arguably better judged on his runner-up effort over this track and trip on his penultimate start. If Tom George's six-year-old can reproduce that level of form off a 2lb lower mark, then he could be the one to beat. Cabrakan was well beaten in third on his chase debut at Plumpton, but this looks easier and he might get closer in this company. Move With The Beat is another to note.

It looks quite significant that dual-point winner MOVE WITH THE BEAT has been sent chasing for his handicap debut so gets the vote for a yard that has hit some form of late. Moorland Rambler starts the new campaign off a potentially good mark so is next best ahead of Dunstall Rambler.

Cabrakan will hold a fitness edge over some of these but preference is for dual winning pointer MOVE WITH THE BEAT on chase debut.

15:40 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Success on turf might have proved elusive so far for ROYAL DREAM but the consistent Ed Dunlop-trained gelding has put together a sequence of respectable enough efforts elsewhere to suggest he can give weight and a beating to these rivals. Fellow turf maiden Milliterries won over 1m on Tapeta at Southwell on her penultimate start and can again go well if coping with the surface/longer trip off just 1lb higher. Baroque Buoy and Oman complete the shortlist.

A chance is taken on OMAN who had a much longer trip as an excuse last time and has dipped to only 1 lb above the mark he defied at Chester in May. Royal Dream and unexposed 3-y-o Sambucas are others who could go well, while Inappropriate would also firmly enter the reckoning if showing up here rather than Pontefract on Monday.

Topweight ROYAL DREAM may be capable of recording his first turf success. Milliterries is second choice.

15:45 Curragh Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Although 10lb higher as a result of his recent Navan win, CALZAGHI can follow up. The Kevin Coleman-trained gelding did very well to win at the County Meath track as he was slowly away and had to pass the entire field to gain a first career success. Granted a better break on this occasion, he looks the one to beat. Well-backed Thurles runner-up Warazam gives the impression that she will appreciate stepping up to this trip. Having lost her position early on at Thurles earlier in the month, the three-year-old was finishing strongly inside the final furlong. Colin Keane is an interesting booking on the handicap debutant Wing Glider, with the champion jockey retaining the ride having partnered her at Killarney recently.

CALZAGHI got off the mark at Navan earlier this month and still has few miles on the clock. He is taken to follow up. Warazam and French Company head the list of dangers.

Having got off the mark in convincing fashion at Navan last time CALZAGHI(nap) could double up despite getting a 10lb rise.

15:53 Exeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The Hobbs/White team won this last season with Goshhowposh and they have another contender with Mad Mike, who is making his handicap debut after an easy maiden success over the extended 2m5f here last time out. He can go well despite eight months off the track, but the vote still goes to STRIKING A POSE. Joe Tizzard has started the season well and his charge has won all four of his start at this venue, with the latest coming off this mark over C&D in February. Morfee and Made For You are others to consider.

MAD MIKE remains with potential for staying handicaps this term and could be set for a big run if ready to go. King of The Lake should find a race, while Ballymagroarty Boy is another to consider.

He was out of form in March when last seen but HIGH GAME ROYAL is given the vote in the hope he can get his career back on track.

16:10 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The handicapper has steadily relented with MAXIMUM IMPACT and given he was rated 93 at his peak as a juvenile, a current mark of 76 is very tempting for the three-year-old's first attempt over 7f. His efforts this season suggest a longer trip is worth trying and, with ground conditions to suit, he may provide a bit of value. The in-form Come On You Spurs is a live danger despite being held off this mark at Musselburgh most recently, while Dashing Dick rates the pick of the remainder.

DASHING DICK has yet to run a bad race at this venue and he is appealing in a race that won't take as much winning as the one in which he finished mid-field at Newmarket last month. Come On You Spurs came up short in her hat-trick bid at Musselburgh but that was a higher-grade handicap than this and she is a much-respected main danger. Maximum Impact is best of the rest.

The C&D winners SOCIETY LION and Dashing Dick warrant respect back here. Come On You Spurs completes the shortlist.

16:15 Newcastle Handicap (Class 2) 12f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

It's possible this trip will stretch a few of these and, with that in mind, the proven staying power of previous course winner LA PULGA could be a major asset if he is allowed to set the fractions on the front end. Marhaba The Champ is a possible improver to consider on the back of a respectable fourth over an inadequate 1m2f at Ayr last month. King Lear should also be noted with first-time blinkers added.

None of these look particularly solid but GET SHIRTY is lower in the weights than he's been for some time and has solid claims if returning in the same sort of form that saw him finish fourth in the Ascot Stakes in June. 3-y-o Dramatic Star has been gelded since his Melrose flop and could get back on track. King Lear is another to consider.

Marhaba The Champ ran his best race of a light campaign last time, but DRAMATIC STAR still has some potential having been gelded.

16:20 Curragh Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Fourth over C&D last time, GENUINE JIM can provide Nicola Burns with a first career winner. Despite being sent off 100/1, the Galileo Gold colt ran a huge race from stall 3 to 'win' his side of a race which was dominated by those drawn high. Potentially much better housed on this occasion, the lightly raced four-year-old can open his account. Purring Along, winner of that aforementioned contest, should again play a leading role. Although she carries a 7lb penalty for that success, that weight is negated by the 10lb claim of the promising Julian Pietropaolo. Dropping back in trip is unlikely to inconvenience recent course runner-up Nahori.

PURRING ALONG made a winning start for new connections over C&D last week and still looks fairly treated on old form. She gets the nod in the finale. Omakase, Breezy Zoff and Nahori make up the shortlist.

A chance is taken on OMAKASE who ran a cracker after a long absence at Bellewstown and she is thrown in on her 2yo course form.

16:28 Exeter Handicap Chase (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Bobhopeornohope has pulled up in all four starts since finishing fourth in the Coral Trophy at Kempton in February 2023 but if they can get him right, he would have every chance off 9lb below his last winning mark. Rose Of Arcadia is a consistent mare and can go well if wind surgery has helped, but ABUFFALOSOLDIER is preferred. The Warren Greatrex-trained gelding ended his novice campaign with a respectable fourth in a competitive handicap at Ayr and there should be more to come as a second-season chaser.

Preference is for ROSE OF ARCADIA, who has a good record first time up and returns on a workable mark. Moroder and Abuffalosoldier rate the principal dangers.

This can go to stout stayer ROSE OF ARCADIA (nap), who began her last two campaigns with hurdle wins and is on a workable chase mark.

16:45 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BALMORAL LADY is in the form of her life at present and a 6lb penalty for her most recent success at Windsor may not be enough to prevent her from landing the hat-trick. Conditions are in her favour once more and the daughter of Invincible Army is preferred to fellow hat-trick seeker Fletcher's Flight and Whats In The Bag, who makes his first start for new connections after finishing runner-up on his last two outings.

None of these can be safely discounted but BALMORAL LADY is by far the most appealing in her bid to complete the hat-trick with conditions again in her favour. Fletcher's Flight is also seeking a third win in a row and he is second choice ahead of Angle Land. Lightly-raced 5-y-o Whats In The Bag remains of interest but both his wellbeing and ability to handle ground this slow need taking on trust.

Progressive 4yo FLETCHER'S FLIGHT (nap) could well have even more to offer at this distance. Balmoral Lady is feared most.

16:50 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MARAMA impressed with a seven-length victory in a similar race at Chester last month and is taken to brush aside the penalty. Although beaten by four and a half lengths at Southwell most recently, Sword was second to an upwardly mobile rival and must have a good chance being of thereabouts in this company. Krissy, King Of Lightning and Warm Response all need to improve, so perhaps Cadarn could be the pick of the rest.

MARAMA got off the mark in impressive fashion at Chester last month and is surely up to defying a penalty on that evidence, especially with further improvement on the cards. Sword is proving expensive to follow, so Warm Response, who showed plenty to work on his rather belated debut at Southwell recently, is feared most.

The sex allowance means MARAMA has to concede only 2lb to the enigmatic Sword and she's clearly the one to beat.

Herecomeshogan won this in 2022 off a handicap mark of 102 but 14 losing races since have seen his rating drop to 76, which suggests he has an each-way chance. Catboy could prove popular after winning at Fontwell in first-time cheekpieces, but an added 8lb may make his life more difficult and a chance is taken on LUSAKA. Not seen over hurdles since November 2022, he has won five times on the Flat since (including last time out) and he could be the surprise package in this field.

The pair with this most appealing claims are REHILL RELIC and Lusaka, with marginal preference for the former who should benefit from this slightly stiffer test now handicapping and the booking of William Biddick is an obvious plus. Lusaka won well on the Flat last time and is feared greatly back in this sphere off an attractive mark, while Sassified will be a threat if responding well to the first-time blinkers.

Lusaka needs respecting after a recent Flat win but the suspicion is there's more to come from REHILL RELIC on handicap debut.

17:20 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 6f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for REALISED with a taking success over further here last week, there could be plenty more improvement to come from Harry Eustace's filly and dropping back in trip should be of no inconvenience as she bids to defy a 5lb penalty. Hombre arrives with similar double claims after a comfortable success off 3lb lower at Chelmsford in August, while Collusion and Spirit Of Breeze are others to consider.

It could be worth rolling the dice with SPIRIT OF BREEZE, who wasn't seen to best effect at Leicester a fortnight ago and the return to 0-60 company could be just what the doctor ordered. Last-time-out winners Hombre and Realised are feared most in that order of preference, while Moreginplease is also entitled to have a say.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest. SPIRIT OF BREEZE looked on the way back last time and he can get the better of Hombre.

17:25 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

An easy winner on his racecourse bow at Wolverhampton last month, SAPPHIRE VALLEY sets the standard and can atone for fading into fourth when he possibly went off too quickly at Chelmsford subsequently. A third run in quick succession suggests all is well with this potentially progressive son of Blue Point and he is worth persevering with here. Fellow penalised runner Everyoneknowsadave is feared most, although Velvet Whisper is taken seriously after a promising introduction at Southwell.

VELVET WHISPER made a very promising start at Southwell when well backed and seems sure to improve. She looks the one to be on. Sapphire Valley and Shamador head up the dangers.

There was plenty to like about the debut second of VELVET WHISPER and she's preferred to Sapphire Valley.

17:33 Exeter NH Flat Race (Class 5) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With no form to go on, the betting market may yet prove the best guide, though it is noted that Ralph Beckett has won two of the last three runnings of this contest and he saddles Gnomon today. Harry Fry's Trustintimes looks interesting as a 45,000gns son of Time Test who is related to numerous winners and he can also go well, but STAR OF GUITING could be the one to side with. Nigel Twiston-Davies trains the 25,000-euro purchase for his son, Willy, and the three-year-old makes appeal on pedigree, being a half-brother to a couple of bumper winners.

Ralph Beckett has won this race in 2021 and 2022 so GNOMON is the suggestion before any betting clues are known. Secret Sniper, Trustintimes and Star of Guiting are others who look the part on paper in an interesting junior bumper.

The market should tell a tale but when Ralph Beckett has won two of the last three runnings his GNOMON has to be high up the list.

17:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

JENEVER may be suited by dropping back to the minimum trip, having shown up well when fourth in the Ayr Silver Cup last month. Jessica Macey's charge has won over C&D before, and he gets the vote ahead of the well-handicapped Badri and Lucky Man, who has strong claims on his success at Windsor in August. Completing the shortlist are Cover Point, Harvanna and Londoner.

JENEVER ran well despite never being a threat to the smart winner in the Ayr Silver Cup last month. He goes well here and can land the spoils. Londoner, Lucky Man and Harvanna are solid threats.

The pick is BADRI, who did not have the race run to suit when midfield in a good Ascot handicap this month and is well handicapped now.

18:25 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Turned out again quickly under a 5lb penalty after a comfortable success at Musselburgh last week, SIXCOR may not be the most consistent but he looks more than capable of following up at this level. The unexposed Northerner was a promising fourth over C&D last time out and is likely to be thereabouts, along with the veteran Stallone and Cuban Rock.

ELZAAL has fallen a long way in the weights ahead of his return to a track where he goes really well and is worth chancing. Northerner is feared most ahead of Musselburgh-winner Sixcor.

Sixcor should go well despite his penalty but NORTHERNER's latest C&D fourth offered hope of better and this is a weaker race.

18:55 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 8f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Fresh off a victory in the Champion Stakes on Saturday, Owen Burrows can continue that form with the unexposed PURSUIT OF TRUTH, who ran a career-best when second on handicap debut at Kempton last time out. A mere 1lb rise could prove lenient, and he may have too much for the recent narrow Ayr runner-up Alpine Sierra, as well as Sir Maxi, who looked to be finding his way for new connections when a promising third over 7f here last month.

OPERATION GIMCRACK has caught the eye on both his starts this term after an absence, leaving the impression there are races to be won with him off his current mark. Alpine Sierra is next best ahead of Pursuit of Truth.

This might go to PURSUIT OF TRUTH, who was running for only the second time this season when second on his recent handicap debut.

19:25 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Barnaby struck in convincing style over C&D last month and he is likely to have his supporters off only 5lb higher. However, a chance can be taken on NO SAINT, who produced a much better effort when beaten two lengths into second over track and trip last time. Sam England's four-year-old was possibly unsuited by the slowly run race on that occasion and might get more of a pace to aim at this time around. Mr Stanley is another to consider.

BARNABY had been crying out for 7f and duly found progress to get off the mark in comfortable fashion over this C&D 4 weeks ago. Still unexposed at this trip, he can defy a 5 lb rise at the main expense of No Saint and Jkr Cobbler.

Kevin Ryan's BARNABY (nap) took his form up a notch when a stylish C&D scorer latest and can defy a 5lb rise (form has been franked).

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
