1st (1) (11/1 +31%) Clinton Lane |
11/1(+31%) | (1) Clinton Lane 11/1, Only modest form required to take a Fontwell maiden on heavy in March. Found life tougher on his next 3 starts and surely vulnerable for win purposes under a penalty on this first outing since June. Fontwell maiden winner but has struggled in some very ordinary handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (3/1 +50%) Goodwin Face |
3/1(+50%) | (6) Goodwin Face 3/1, Half-brother to a couple of hurdle winners. Off 10 months after falling on his debut last November and more than hinted at ability when fifth on 2m Warwick return 18 days ago. May do better and might be the one to chase home Roamn Roy. Attracted attention of the stewards when a never-dangerous fifth at Warwick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/11 -27%) Roman Roy |
4/11(-27%) | (4) Roman Roy 4/11, Promising second in a Wincanton bumper on debut last November. Only fifth when favourite at Kempton 3 months later but he still achieved fair form and looks to have struck upon a weak race now hurdling on his return from wind surgery. Pushed last spring's Grade 2 bumper winner Horaces Pearl close on his debut last November. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (22/1 +56%) Smith |
22/1(+56%) | (5) Smith 22/1, Six-time winner at up to 2m on the Flat but hasn't taken to hurdling in 3 attempts. Modest these days on the Flat and showed nothing in his three previous runs over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (40/1 -344%) Guinness Lad |
40/1(-344%) | (7) Guinness Lad 40/1, From a yard in form but he pulled hard and finished well beaten in a Worcester bumper last month. Has a hood fitted now making a quick switch to hurdles. Headgear turned to after running himself into the ground by pulling too hard in a bumper. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (80/1 -100%) Jukebox Joker |
80/1(-100%) | (8) Jukebox Joker 80/1, Well held in a bumper and novice hurdle 5 months apart. Well held in a bumper and tailed off on hurdling debut at Chepstow when 100-1. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (100/1 -52%) Scarlet |
100/1(-52%) | (9) Scarlet 100/1, Little show on the Flat ahead of this switch to hurdles. Earned a basement mark in five Flat defeats from 7f to 1m4f, including two handicaps. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
ROMAN ROY failed to build on a promising debut when fifth in a Kempton bumper on his latest start in February, but Paul Nicholls' gelding still showed plenty of promise and could be hard to beat in this company. Dotties Star has been running well enough on the Flat of late to suggest he can make the frame, while Clinton Lane is the pick of the remainder.
ROMAN ROY showed promise in bumpers last season and looks a bit of a standout for the Paul Nicholls yard. Goodwin Face offered something to work on at Warwick recently and can follow him home ahead of Dotties Star.
This looks a gilt-edged opening for hurdling debutant ROMAN ROY who pushed a very smart horse close in his first bumper.

25/1(-56%) | (12) Arizona Robbins 25/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 100/1, fifth of 11 in maiden at Sligo (5.7f, soft) 75 days ago, merely passing beaten rivals. Back up in trip. Makes handicap debut. Latest fifth at Sligo represented some improvement but it's still modest form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (14/1 -65%) Watching |
14/1(-65%) | (3) Watching 14/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 16 in claimer (150/1) at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 28 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Notable forward step when fourth of 16 at Fairyhouse, for all that it was just a claimer. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
15th (16) (100/1 -150%) Udacha |
100/1(-150%) | (16) Udacha 100/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, fifteenth of 16 in claimer at Fairyhouse (7f, good, 200/1) 28 days ago. First run for yard after leaving T. Gibney. Poor form but new trainer can pull rabbits out of hats; market needs checking. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
16th (4) (25/1 -25%) Aiyana Rose |
25/1(-25%) | (4) Aiyana Rose 25/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Thirteenth of 18 in maiden at the Curragh (6f, good to soft, 150/1) 23 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Makes handicap debut. Beaten between 10l and 14l in maidens; this initial mark doesn't look an obvious gift. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Triple representation for the Mark Fahey yard here and movements in the market ought to be revealing when it comes to the Monasterevin handler's runners. Ben Coen could well be aboard the safest choice of the Fahey runners in Buck Barrow, but stable companions CHICA GUERRERA and Rebel Lily may have more scope for progression fresh out of maiden company. Chica Guerrera's performances to date haven't been completely devoid of promise, though her poor finishing positions mask that fact. A modest opening mark, allied with the allowance claimed by talented apprentice Keithen Kennedy, should give the selection every chance of getting more deeply involved than she has done thus far. Towards the head of the weights Dandy Khan and Watching are others to factor in.
YOUR CALL's latest effort wasn't a particularly good one but a reproduction of his previous Naas fourth would give him every chance here off this reduced mark. Buck Barrow and Dandy Khan may emerge as the main dangers, while Whywhywhy Delilah is also worth a second look.
Lots of guesswork involved to make cases for many of these but not so DANDY KHAN who ran a nice last race at the Curragh.

1st (1) (13/2 -136%) French Martini |
13/2(-136%) | (1) French Martini 13/2, 9/1, creditable fourth of 13 in handicap at this course (11.6f, good) 37 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Unproven in the conditions but still merits plenty of respect. In-form 4yo who has shaped like a stayer at times; dangerous after wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (14/1 -17%) Uther Pendragon |
14/1(-17%) | (8) Uther Pendragon 14/1, Course winner. 100/1, last of 13 in handicap at this course (14f, good to firm) 36 days ago, ridden too aggressively. Back up in trip. Hard to make a case for. Second behind Triple Nickle at Ffos Las but was tailed off here last time; risks attached. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (6/1 +20%) Swift Tuttle |
6/1(+20%) | (3) Swift Tuttle 6/1, Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. Good third of 7 in handicap at Catterick (13.9f, good to soft, 9/2) 41 days ago. Up in trip. Merits respect. First past post at Doncaster in July; possibilities if he copes with this step up to 2m1f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (18/1 -29%) Ardara Rose |
18/1(-29%) | (11) Ardara Rose 18/1, 18/1 and blinkered for 1st time, last of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (13f, good) 72 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Others make more appeal. 0-7 but she shaped with promise over 2m on penultimate run; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (3/1 +25%) Tigerten |
3/1(+25%) | (4) Tigerten 3/1, Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. Respectable fifth of 10 in handicap (6/1) at this C&D (heavy) 11 days ago. Well-held fifth over C&D last time and his last win was 17 months ago; others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/2 +0%) Triple Nickle |
11/2(+0%) | (6) Triple Nickle 11/2, Latest win at Ffos Las in August. 10/1, respectable third of 11 in handicap at Catterick (15.9f, soft) 19 days ago. Holding form well at present. Won in the mud at Ffos Las in August and has claims if this sets up for her closing style. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (9/2 +68%) Sugarpiehoneybunch |
9/2(+68%) | (10) Sugarpiehoneybunch 9/2, Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. 20/1, again below best when fifth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (15.9f, soft) 19 days ago, slowly away. Not firing at present. Her two wins came in April 2023 and has struggled in her last three runs; opposable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (10/1 -25%) Captain Haddock |
10/1(-25%) | (5) Captain Haddock 10/1, Twenty seven runs since last win in 2021. 5/1, bit below form eighth of 13 in handicap at this course (11.6f, good) 37 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Not firing at present has a bit to prove. Both wins were in 2021 and he's been well held at different trips in last three runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (100/1 -400%) Voice Of Hope |
100/1(-400%) | (7) Voice Of Hope 100/1, Seventh of 10 in handicap chase at Market Rasen (23.9f, good to firm, 40/1) 23 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Tongue strap on for 1st time in this code. Poor on last Flat outing. Has struggled over fences since last March and has lots to prove back on the Flat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (10/1 +0%) Zillion |
10/1(+0%) | (2) Zillion 10/1, Course winner. Fifth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f, 22/1). Off 6 months. Up in trip. Others are more appealing. On dangerous mark in suitable conditions back on turf and he needs watching in market. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (9) (25/1 -108%) Robeam |
25/1(-108%) | (9) Robeam 25/1, Sixteen runs since last win in 2021. Creditable third of 8 in handicap (22/1) at Wolverhampton (16.6f) 7 days ago, slowly away. Not dismissed. Placed on AW last twice and has each-way claims again on this return to turf. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
TRIPLE NICKLE was well held when third in this grade at Catterick earlier in the month, but he remains on the same mark and relishes heavy conditions. The eight-year-old beat Uther Pendragon (second) at Ffos Las three starts ago and he looks well placed to regain the winning thread. Robeam has made the frame the last twice and should remain competitive off 1lb lower than those efforts, while Sugarpiehoneybunch is another to note.
TRIPLE NICKLE goes well in the mud and arrives in form, so she may prevail in what looks a particularly weak contest. French Martini is an obvious danger if acting in the conditions, while Tigerten isn't without hope under one of the more experienced riders.
An open race in which FRENCH MARTINI gets the vote ahead of Triple Nickle and Swift Tuttle.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Although LEBLON GIRL has a bit to find on ratings, her proven form on softer ground could prove crucial. Alice Haynes' filly posted a close-up second at Ripon in September and a reproduction of that performance may enable a first career triumph. Loving Apprentice arrives on the back of a good second at Chelmsford and she is likely go close if running to a similar level on the switch to turf, while market support for newcomer Morello Man should be noted.
A low grade maiden, LOVING APPRENTICE and Leblon Girl look the leading players on form, with preference for the former, albeit only slight. Morello Man is the interesting newcomer.
Ed Dunlop has a very healthy 24% strike-rate at Pontefract in the last five years and LOVING APPRENTICE is taken to get off the mark.

1st (4) (7/2 -87%) Touquet |
7/2(-87%) | (4) Touquet 7/2, €185,000 son of Kapgarde who overcame inexperience to make a winning debut in a Sandown bumper a year ago. Too keen to last out back there 11 weeks on but he's had a breathing op and is sure to be well prepared for this hurdles bow fitted with a hood. Sandown bumper winner; raced too freely there next time; hood added for hurdling debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (8/1 -45%) Luna Effect |
8/1(-45%) | (8) Luna Effect 8/1, Some fair efforts on the Flat when in the care of Roger Varian. Failed to fire in 3 starts on the level for this yard but made a sound start to hurdles career when fourth at Fontwell 17 days ago. Beaten under 10l into fourth on his switch to hurdles at Fontwell and can build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (50/1 +0%) Birthday Angel |
50/1(+0%) | (5) Birthday Angel 50/1, Brother to useful hurdler Teqany (winner around 2m) and fairly useful hurdler Castel Gandolfo (winner around 2m). Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1½m), well below form in handicap last time. Sold from Archie Watson 21,000 gns in May. Initial Flat promise but lost his way in handicaps after being gelded; new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/4 +75%) Ami Bondhu |
6/4(+75%) | (1) Ami Bondhu 6/4, Left debut form well behind when landing a Fakenham bumper with something to spare in November. Not in quite the same form at Warwick 2 months later but he's one to consider on hurdles debut. Useful bumper form (even in defeat) and can do well over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (11/4 +8%) Realistic Optimism |
11/4(+8%) | (3) Realistic Optimism 11/4, Fairly useful bumper winner in Ireland who hasn't been seen for 2 years but still strikes as an interesting hurdling debutant having changed stables. The market should be informative fitted with a hood for the first time. Long-time absent but a bumper winner in Ireland and has joined a good yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (10/1 -43%) Lord Maher |
10/1(-43%) | (7) Lord Maher 10/1, €13,000 3-y-o, Ocovango gelding. Brother to fair hurdler The Niffler. Dam maiden pointer. Failed to complete in a couple of points but made a winning debut at Roscommon in June for S.Curling. Changed hands for £10,000 a month later. Bought for £10,000 after winning a Roscommon maiden hurdle (good) on rules debut in June. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (300/1 -200%) Mon The Hoops |
300/1(-200%) | (9) Mon The Hoops 300/1, Limited appeal on pedigree and little promise in bumpers 11 months apart. No impact in two bumpers, finishing a remote last of three runners in the latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Lord Maher has to be of interest on his debut for these connections having won a Roscommon bumper in June, but marginal preference is for TOUQUET. The five-year-old scored on debut in a bumper at Sandown last November and can be given another chance following his subsequent defeat under a penalty at the same venue. Good Too was useful on the level and is another to note.
TOUQUET won a bumper on debut last year and with a hood likely to help him settle now hurdling, he can make a winning return to action for his leading stable. Realistic Optimism and Ami Bondh are also of interest switched to obstacles.
The bumper exploits of AMI BONDHU and Touquet bode well in a novice hurdle of this nature. Nick Gifford's runner edges preference.

LIGHT AS AIR made a satisfactory enough start to his career when third behind stable companion Isambard Brunel at Navan recently. With the promise of more to come now he could be the safest choice and interestingly his conqueror from Proudstown Park may be seen at Group 1 level next time. Viking Invasion sported blinkers in a big sales race at the Curragh last month. He'll find this easier and with the headgear retained the Mehmas colt is likely to make a bold bid to put his experience to good use. Owner/breeders Ballygallon Stud start Enziya off at their local track. The Night Of Thunder gelding's trainer Ray Cody has booked Colin Keane for the ride, and it won't come as any great surprise if the grey gets involved at the business end.
LIGHT AS AIR really caught the eye on debut at Navan 12 days ago and can be expected to take a big step forward. Viking Invasion sets the standard on the pick of his form, while the selection's stablemate Saints n Scholars can't be discounted on only his second run.
Viking Invasion has much the best form but Navan third LIGHT AS AIR(nap) is the one with striking potential.

Titus Thor |
(1) (SP +100%)SP(+100%) | (1) Titus Thor SP, Once-raced maiden. Hooded, last of 11 in novice (200/1) at Kempton (6f) on debut 35 days ago. Tailed-off last of 11 at a massive price on his Kempton debut (6f, AW) last month. |

1st (4) (7/5 +7%) Plutonic |
7/5(+7%) | (4) Plutonic 7/5, Once-raced maiden. Last of 3 in maiden at Southwell (6.1f, 9/2) on debut 22 days ago, slowly away. Likely to improve. Ran green on Southwel debut and it wouldn't be a surprise if he showed much more this time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (8/11 -18%) Vibrato |
8/11(-18%) | (3) Vibrato 8/11, 10/3 and tongue strap on for 1st time cheekpieces on for 1st time, first run since leaving John & Thady Gosden when third of 5 in maiden at Southwell (5f) 13 days ago, inadequate test. Has the best form, but needs to bounce back. Sets standard on early form and has heavy-ground winner on dam's side; the one to beat. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/1 +8%) Treasure Bay |
11/1(+8%) | (2) Treasure Bay 11/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 200/1, fourth of 11 in novice at Kempton (6f) 35 days ago. Much more needed. Well held at big prices in his three runs and has plenty to find back on turf. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
VIBRATO wasn't beaten far when third at Southwell earlier in the month and he sets the standard with a rating of 77. If the son of No Nay Never can run anywhere near to that level, then he could prove very tough to beat. Plutonic finished last of three on her debut over 6f at Southwell last month but she might get closer with that experience under her belt. Treasure Bay can beat Titus Thor home for third.
Only 4 runners, and one easily discounted, but still tricky. A chance is taken on once-raced PLUTONIC improving past Vibrato whose best form was achieved for a different stable.
This looks a good opportunity for VIBRATO, who should be hard to beat if he can get back somewhere near his best.

5/2(+79%) | (9) Charming Fellow 5/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 28/1, 6¼ lengths fourth of 7 in nursery at Newmarket (1m, heavy) 25 days ago. Needs to build on that now. Beaten about 6l when fourth on nursery debut at Newmarket; this should take less winning. |

2nd (3) (9/2 +36%) Cymbidium |
9/2(+36%) | (3) Cymbidium 9/2, Winner at Thirsk (1m) in September. 9/2, last of 7 in nursery at Southwell (1m1f) 16 days ago. Bounce back needed now facing much softer ground than previously. Disappointing last time but on AW debut; won at Thirsk last month; could bounce back. |

9/1(-50%) | (6) Aye Up Lass 9/1, Modest form. Fourth of 5 in nursery (4/1) at Musselburgh (1m, good to firm) 36 days ago. In good form in the blinkers at Musselburgh the last twice; dam was useful on slow ground. |

100/1(-525%) | (8) Toby Two Scoops 100/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Last of 9 in novice at Ripon (1m, good to firm, 125/1) 65 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Has work to do. Makes handicap debut off modest mark; gelded since last time; however, improvement needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (3/1 +10%) Bentbasa |
3/1(+10%) | (2) Bentbasa 3/1, Best effort in novices when second of 10 in novice (11/4) at Newcastle (1m) 39 days ago. His opening mark demands more of him but no surprise were he to find it. Runner-up in 1m novice at Newcastle (AW) last time; one to consider on his nursery debut. |

6th (1) (15/2 -125%) Larchill Lass |
15/2(-125%) | (1) Larchill Lass 15/2, 9/1, good second of 11 in nursery at this course (6f, heavy) 14 days ago, clear of rest. Significantly up in trip. Shortlist material. Runner-up over 6f here (soft) recently; stamina is a concern but she's not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (6/1 -20%) Testimonial |
6/1(-20%) | (7) Testimonial 6/1, Modest maiden. Blinkered first time, good ½-length second of 12 to Cymbidium in nursery (10/1) at Thirsk (1m, good to firm) 44 days ago. Respected. Runner-up at Thirsk on last month's handicap debut and could continue to progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (25/1 -257%) Flying Fortress |
25/1(-257%) | (4) Flying Fortress 25/1, Fair maiden. 9/1 and cheekpieces on first time, second of 4 in nursery at Yarmouth (1¼m, good to soft) 14 days ago, no match for winner. Back down in trip. 0-6 but ran well when second of four at Yarmouth a fortnight ago and could make a bold bid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (20/1 -67%) Greek Gift |
20/1(-67%) | (5) Greek Gift 20/1, Latest win at Beverley in August. 11/1, last of 6 in nursery at Ripon (1m, good to soft) 23 days ago. Below par the last twice but she's capable of having a say if getting back on track. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Bentbasa posted his best effort to date when runner-up at Newcastle last month and he must enter calculations. However, an opening mark of 74 will require more from Charlie Fellowes' colt and preference is for TESTIMONIAL. The son of Time Test arrives on the back of a runner-up effort on his nursery bow at Thirsk and he may find enough improvement to cope with a 4lb higher rating. Larchill Lass could also have a say if seeing out the rise in distance.
A chance is taken on the stamina of LARCHILL LASS, who proved herself in the mud when second over 6f here a fortnight ago and has Sam Feilden taking a handy 7 lb off his back. Bentbasa has the potential for better again now handicapping and is second choice ahead of Testimonial.
The filly AYE UP LASS has run really well in defeat in blinkers at Musselburgh the last twice and she is the selection.

1st (5) (10/3 +39%) West Orchard |
10/3(+39%) | (5) West Orchard 10/3, Below form when last seen but won over C&D around this time last year (albeit with a run behind him), so he's worth monitoring in the betting after 6 months. Capable of a bold show but record when fresh isn't overly encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (9/2 -50%) Kankin |
9/2(-50%) | (1) Kankin 9/2, Modest chaser who edged ahead close home to double his tally at Fakenham in May. Respectable effort next time and can make his presence felt if tuned up for this return. Won two handicap chases last season, including on reappearance off just 2lb lower. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/1 -33%) Jack Doyen |
6/1(-33%) | (4) Jack Doyen 6/1, Latest win in chase at Hereford in March. Remained in good form subsequently and, while he's not the most reliable in general, he's worthy of consideration back from 6 months off. In a good run of form back in the spring and fair shout if resuming where he left off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (10/3 -11%) Time To Bite |
10/3(-11%) | (2) Time To Bite 10/3, Back on the up, under positive tactics, when winning 10-runner handicap chase at Newton Abbot (21f, good to firm, 8/1) in May and backed it up with another likeable display at Fakenham 141 days. Can make all here. Has got himself high in the weights and a soft lead seems unlikely. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (12/1 0%) Noah's Light |
12/1(0%) | (7) Noah's Light 12/1, Surprise winner under a change of tactics when opening his account over fences at Newton Abbot (21f, good to soft) in July and was back on track when second over C&D last time. Others look better treated, though. Only 1-17 over fences and this front-runner is likely to be taken on up front. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (17/2 +29%) Miss Fedora |
17/2(+29%) | (8) Miss Fedora 17/2, Got back on track reverted to this hurdling when landing 8-runner handicap at Cartmel (17.2f, soft) in August. Below form next time and has an uninspiring record over fences. She didn't really convince in her five previous chases earlier this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (9/1 +64%) Elpologreg |
9/1(+64%) | (6) Elpologreg 9/1, Got off the mark in 5-runner handicap chase at Fakenham (16.3f, soft) in February but that was a poor contest and he didn't really back it up subsequently. Will probably need this return from 6 months off. The race he won at Fakenham in Feb fell apart; well held afterwards. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
TIME TO BITE only found one too good when trying to land a double on his most recent outing at Fakenham in June and it would be no surprise to see him make a winning return off the same mark. Kankin failed to fire on his most recent outing but he is a player on his previous success at Fakenham, while Kalkas edges out Jack Doyen to be pick of the rest.
TIME TO BITE was in excellent form when last seen and shouldn't face much pressure for the lead, so he's fancied to make a successful comeback from more than 4 months off. Kalkas is one to note with his stable going well and West Orchard isn't ruled out considering he was a C&D winner less than a year ago.
This looks sure to be run at a good clip and KANKIN can pick off his rivals late on, as was the case on his reappearance last season.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DERESSA goes up to an extended mile now and could be capable of getting off the mark at the fourth attempt, despite conceding weight away all round. She's value for more than the bare facts of a near seven-length defeat at Galway last month, given that Chris Hayes had to take back the Zarak filly sharply, after a gap closed in the latter stages of a similar heat. That event featured a couple of subsequent winners, and more might emerge in the closing days of the turf campaign. Deressa sported cheekpieces at Ballybrit, but she goes without those aids here, perhaps a sign that the juvenile is maturing with racing. Similarly experienced I Can Imagine and J M's Joy are not to be taken lightly. The majority are less exposed and clues from the market may be the soundest guide.
Not a strong maiden given the numbers, with I CAN IMAGINE just about the most persuasive candidate with this step up to 1m sure to suit. J M'S JOY ran a cracker given she blew the start last time so she's a threat, while newcomer Lily Parr isn't without hope on breeding.
Proven in these conditions when runner-up at Killarney last time J M'S JOY can go one better today.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
ROYSDELIGHT attempted to make every yard of the running but faded into fifth over an extended 5f here last time and he was dropped 1lb for that effort. Jordan Williams claims a handy 5lb this time around and he might prove tough to catch. Atherstone Beau produced a career-best when finishing second at this venue last month and could get involved on her nursery debut, while Breakout Star is another to watch out for.
BREAKOUT STAR has shown glimmers of promise and he's bred to be better than a mark of 66, so he's worth taking a chance on first time in a nursery. Atherstone Beau looks a player and Master Zack is worth close market inspection given he attracted plenty of support last time.
Preference is for ATHERSTONE BEAU, who was runner-up over 5.6f here last month and looks interesting back in trip on her nursery debut.

Lacks the potential of the colts up against her but she will handle the conditions. Strong at the finish when landing valuable prize over 7f at Goodwood last time; key player. |

LOVE TALK relished the testing conditions when scoring a shade cosily over 7f at Goodwood last month. The Ten Sovereigns filly looks ready for this return to Listed company and a step up to a mile shouldn't prevent another bold bid. Tuscan Hills impressed with how he travelled on his winning debut at Thirsk in August and he isn't taken lightly on this marked rise in grade. Raphael Freire's colt is feared most, ahead of Calla Lagoon.
CALLA LAGOON has had the form of his Ascot maiden win strongly boosted and can underline he's yet another smart prospect for his stable. Castle Stuart won comfortably on heavy at Hamilton recently and is second choice ahead of Love Talk, another who won't be fazed by this deep ground.
Love Talk is respected but CALLA LAGOON has shaped as though 1m will suit, and his Ascot win reads very well.

9/1(-29%) | (12) Ez Tiger 9/1, C&D winner and not disgraced off a 5 lb higher mark when fifth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (15.8f, good) later in May. Needs considering after a break. C&D winner who can deal with this mark but wouldn't want rain-softened ground. |

4th (10) (16/1 -14%) Lady Caro |
16/1(-14%) | (10) Lady Caro 16/1, Yet to fire this term, and had a wind op before coming in 11th of 14 in maiden at Kempton (11f) on flat debut 19 days ago. Not easy to make a case for. 0-9 in bumpers/hurdles but did finish second in a Fontwell handicap in April. |

7th (3) (10/1 +38%) Kalif D'airy |
10/1(+38%) | (3) Kalif D'airy 10/1, Third in a pair of juvenile hurdles at Newbury and Hereford last winter but tongue tied when only seventh on his handicap debut at Fontwell (2m1f) 17 days ago. Could still do better for his good yard. Tailed off on handicap debut (tongue tied) at Fontwell but he's better than that. |

8th (8) (8/1 -23%) Birdman Bob |
8/1(-23%) | (8) Birdman Bob 8/1, C&D winner who posted a respectable sixth of 10 in handicap hurdle here (20.5f, good to soft) 6 months ago. Back down in trip and no forlorn hope. Needs to get back on track but goes well here and recent rain was welcomed. |

9th (4) (22/1 -120%) Barenboim |
22/1(-120%) | (4) Barenboim 22/1, Some good efforts on the Flat for David O'Meara this year but hasny matched that back in this sphere on debut for new connections at Worcester and Market Rasen. |PU| (14) (17/2 -6%) Embolden |
17/2(-6%) | (14) Embolden 17/2, Course winner but it's now 12 runs since his last win in 2023. 8/1, below form fifth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good to soft) 15 days ago. Blinkers are reached for now. Can raze lazily so the addition of blinkers could prove significant; not without hope. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (50/1 -100%) Conservative |
50/1(-100%) | (11) Conservative 50/1, Regressive on the Flat and has shown just poor form over hurdles, pulled up here last time. Hard to fancy. Low-key start over hurdles continued when pulled up on handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Placed on three of his last four starts in this sphere, ROYAL DEESIDE brings a level of consistency to this open contest and that may be enough to see him get off the mark under suitable conditions. Barenboim has yet to put it together for new connections but must enter calculations, along with Invictus De Brion and Sami Bear, who has dropped 4lb below his last winning mark.
Not nearly as competitive as the numbers suggest and C&D scorer SALIGO BAY, who arrives fit from the Flat, could take advantage of an attractive mark back hurdling. Stablemate Kalif d'Airy fluffed his lines on his handicap debut at Fontwell but could still emerge as the main danger ahead of C&D winners Ez Tiger and Birdman Bob.
Competitive. BIRDMAN BOB (nap) runs his best races here, has gone well fresh before and booking Sean Bowen looks a statement of intent.

18/1(+28%) | (4) Cornahilt Soldier 18/1, 20/1, creditable sixth of 11 in handicap at Navan (8f, good) 30 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Was a non-runner on heavy ground in the past so conditions might not be ideal. |

12th (9) (17/2 -42%) Alex Belardo |
17/2(-42%) | (9) Alex Belardo 17/2, 7/1, career best when winning 11-runner handicap at Down Royal (7.1f, soft) 21 days ago. Merits consideration given consistent profile. Won over 7f at Down Royal last time in soft ground; 6lb higher but should be a big player. |

15th (15) (66/1 +34%) Pink Aurora |
66/1(+34%) | (15) Pink Aurora 66/1, First run since leaving Joseph Patrick O'Brien when fourteenth of 16 in handicap (80/1) at Roscommon (12.2f, soft) 7 days ago. Significantly back down in trip. Probably didn't stay 1m4f last time but still not easy to fancy. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
Joseph O'Brien will be doing his best to provide Wayne Hassett with a few winners as the latter contends for the apprentice title and the pair team up here with an interesting handicap debutant in the shape of CATHEDRAL PEAK. The daughter of Camelot might want further than a mile but some of her maiden form reads well, principally her debut sixth in a 1m2f Curragh contest that worked out well. A mark of 65 could be lenient if she enjoys racing on softer ground. Killarney heavy-ground winner and third Martinelli and Bella Colombia are closely matched at the revised weights, while Alex Belardo, who made the breakthrough on soft ground at Down Royal, is another in the mix.
WARAZAM cemented nan excellent start to life in handicaps when runner-up in another big-field contest at Thurles 11 days ago and at the foot of the weights, she makes plenty of appeal. Last-time-out scorers Alex Belardo and Martinelli are a couple of potential threats.
When winning over 7f at Down Royal last time, ALEX BELARDO shaped as if he would stay this trip so he is selected.

4th (5) (4/1 -14%) Storm Venture |
4/1(-14%) | (5) Storm Venture 4/1, Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs. 7/1 and blinkered for 1st time, second of 8 in handicap at this C&D (heavy) 11 days ago. Should go well again if the headgear continues to have a positive effect. 0-17 but was a clear second with blinkers added over C&D (heavy) latest; respected. |

5th (3) (8/1 -540%) Firenze Rosa |
8/1(-540%) | (3) Firenze Rosa 8/1, Latest win at Brighton in July. 7/2, second of 5 in handicap at Windsor (5.1f, heavy) 7 days ago. Definite player in a thin race. Went close on heavy at Windsor last Monday and she's a big player if she can back that up. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
The application of first-time blinkers saw an improved performance from STORM VENTURE when finishing runner-up over C&D 11 days ago. The four-year-old makes plenty of appeal racing off an unchanged mark and a breakthrough victory could be on the horizon. The biggest threat may emerge from Firenze Rosa, who arrives on the back of a close-up second at Windsor, while Mintana hasn't been disgraced of late and she looks best of the remainder.
MINTANA shaped better than the result in a stronger race than this at Catterick last time and she gets the tentative vote ahead of Storm Venture, who reacted well to blinkers when second over C&D in similar conditions last time. Firenze Rosa is another one to consider.
Preference is for seven-time turf winner FIRENZE ROSA, who had a close call in the mud at Windsor last Monday and is 1lb lower here.

7/4(+47%) | (4) The Eyes Have It 7/4, Looked potentially useful when making an impressive winning debut at Yarmouth (7f) in July but hasn't advanced her form in 3 outings since, beaten 5 lengths when fourth of 10 on 7f Newmarket handicap debut 16 days ago. Drops to sprinting for the first time. Hasn't kicked on from winning debut but may benefit from this first crack at sprinting. |

3rd (3) (15/2 -36%) Tropical Island |
15/2(-36%) | (3) Tropical Island 15/2, Has been a touch disappointing this season after a promising start, finishing only seventh of 11 in handicap at Ripon (6f, good to soft, 9/1) 23 days ago. 4th (6) (14/1 -17%) May Blossom |
14/1(-17%) | (6) May Blossom 14/1, C&D winner in August but below par twice since. Bounce back needed but she is at least proven in the mud. Won over C&D in August but has to bounce back from two below-par performances. |

6th (7) (8/1 -23%) Thursday's Child |
8/1(-23%) | (7) Thursday's Child 8/1, Won first 2 starts, latterly a C&D novice on heavy. Showed she can be competitive in handicaps when second on soft at Carlisle (6f) in August. Not in the same form on AW since but capable of bouncing back with the ground conditions in her favour. Inconsistent and soundly beaten on AW latest, but this C&D winner has conditions to suit. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
Sophia's Starlight got back to winning ways in this grade at Newmarket last month and should mount a bold bid off 2lb higher, but she is drawn widest of all. With that in mind, the vote goes to THE EYES HAVE IT, who made a pleasing handicap debut when fourth over 7f at Newmarket earlier in the month. William Haggas' three-year-old might improve for this drop in trip and could be the one to beat off 1lb lower. Alcazan is another to consider.
SOPHIA'S STARLIGHT revels in the mud and might be able to give the weight away. Thursday's Child has a C&D win and a Carlisle second to show for her 2 outings on soft/heavy ground and is feared most with conditions to suit.
Topweight SOPHIA'S STARLIGHT (nap) returned to form with a game win at Newmarket last month and can follow up off 2lb higher.

1st (3) (1/1 +71%) Menaggio |
1/1(+71%) | (3) Menaggio 1/1, Made it third time lucky over hurdles in a 21.7f Hereford novice in January. Well backed on handicap debut after 8 weeks off and resumed progress when finding just one too strong at Kempton (21f, good to soft) back in May, edged out only on run-in. Worth a look on return/chase debut. Lightly raced hurdler who was second on handicap debut; should make a chaser. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/4 +69%) War Lord |
5/4(+69%) | (2) War Lord 5/4, Has tumbled in the weights and lurks on an appealing mark as a result of a barren spell, shaping well back in cheekpieces when third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Exeter (18.5f, good) 11 days ago, ideally needing a stronger gallop. Considered back over the larger obstacles. Disappointing as a chaser given his early highs but he could yet come good again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (7/1 -75%) Sainte Doctor |
7/1(-75%) | (4) Sainte Doctor 7/1, Flat/3-time hurdle winner and, following a low-key start over fences, she duly capitalised on reduced mark at Chepstow (19.5f) in April 2023. Bolted up in 4-runner event at Ludlow (20f, good to soft) later that month but not seen since. Watching brief advised given the absence. Could be interesting if resuming where she left off after a lengthy absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
PRINCE QUALI has no margin for error off top-weight on his seasonal debut, but the way he got the job done when landing the double over 2m at Chepstow earlier in the year gave the impression that he would relish going up in trip and a 6lb rise may not be enough to stop him. A promising second at Kempton when last seen in May, Menaggio is one to monitor for market support on his chasing bow, while Icare Grandchamp looks to build upon a first career success at Newton Abbot in June.
Cases can be made for most, but the vote goes to WAR LORD, who has race fitness on his side and recent exploits over hurdles suggest he should remain competitive back over the larger obstacles. Prince Quali has been progressive since joining Robert Walford and he rates as a major danger chasing a hat-trick on return, with Icare Grandchamp, who opened his account at Newton Abbot back in the summer, rounding off the shortlist.
A tight race in which all five have chances. ICARE GRANDCHAMP won snugly at Newton Abbot and appeals as one with more to offer.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
WRIST ART hit winning form last autumn, including a win on soft ground at Thurles, and Tim Doyle's seven-year-old has run well at this venue a couple of times. Notably unlucky in running at Listowel, he has run two solid races since and Sam Coen's 10lb claim enhances his prospects of a third career success. Guest Artist has come down to a competitive mark and was only beaten a length at Bellewstown two starts back. He handled soft ground well when third at Roscommon last week. Magic Charm was third on heavy ground at the Curragh early in the season. After four months off, a recent run at the same venue should have teed him up nicely for this.
WRIST ART shaped as if back in form at Roscommon last week, paying the price for a big move into contention. He's been eased another 1 lb since and can prove too strong for Guest Star, who also ran well at Roscommon last Monday. Willie McCreery's Red Special completes the shortlist.
LADY ARWEN is narrowly preferred in the hope this venue sparks a return to her best form. She has won twice here before.

11th (1) (28/1 -600%) Sybaris Jewel |
28/1(-600%) | (1) Sybaris Jewel 28/1, 22/1, good second of 5 in nursery at Musselburgh (8f, good to firm) 36 days ago. Looks competitive on form as she's unexposed over this sort of trip. Close second upped to 1m at Musselburgh last time; possibilities kept to this distance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (8) (9/1 +44%) Jack Andrea |
9/1(+44%) | (8) Jack Andrea 9/1, Cheekpieces on for first time, last of 7 in nursery at Newmarket (8f, heavy, 16/1) 25 days ago, slowly away and eased right off. Makes tapeta debut. Good second off this mark at Salisbury on sole Class 6 attempt; could go well. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
A winner on his nursery debut at Wolverhampton last time out, HIPPOCRATIC OATH seemed to be value for more than the winning margin on that occasion and this appeals as another strong opportunity with Sean Levey taking over in the saddle. Narrowly denied when producing a career-best effort at Musselburgh last month, Sybaris Jewel looks to be the main danger, ahead of Jack Andrea and the unexposed Pay Attention.
HIPPOCRATIC OATH made a winning start to life in handicaps at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago and while stall 12 may not be ideal, he's still the most appealing option. A well-run race over 1m will suit Sybaris Jewel so she's a threat, along with Kilpatrick Prince.
Pay particular attention to PAY ATTENTION (nap) back on AW. Sybaris Jewel is second choice, ahead of Hippocratic Oath.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
SISTERS IN THE SKY built on his third-placed finish here at the start of October when landing the spoils over C&D nine days later. Grace Harris' gelding scored with something up his sleeve and a 5lb higher mark may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Having posted some creditable efforts in defeat of late, Hierarchy is forecast to be in the thick of the action once more. Mister Bluebird is also noted.
FARO DE SAN JUAN is on an appealing mark and shaped well from a poor draw when fourth at Redcar last time, so he gets the marginal vote in what looks a tightly-knit contest. Recent course winner Sisters In The Sky is worthy of respect for all that this is a much stronger race, while Hierarchy is likely to be on the premises.
Several have possibilities but the vote goes to MISTER BLUEBIRD, who was only just caught on heavy ground over C&D 20 days ago.

Latest win at Doncaster in June. 13¾ lengths seventh of 9 to Nakheel in Park Hill Stakes (9/2) at Doncaster (14.5f, good) 39 days ago. Up in trip. Another down in class and easily the least exposed. 11/1(-47%) | (2) Rajinsky 11/1, Last of 15 in handicap (33/1) at Haydock (14f, good) 44 days ago. Up in trip. Needs to bounce back. Good case can be made on spring 2023 form but tailed off last month after long absence. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
OXFORD COMMA failed to land a blow in the Park Hill at Doncaster last month, but that run was too bad to be true. Prior to that, she looked an exciting prospect after victories at Salisbury and Doncaster, so it would be no surprise to see her bounce back. Wise Eagle finished third in a Group 3 event at York in July and sets the standard with a rating of 103, while Kyle Of Lochalsh holds stronger credentials than Rajinsky.
KYLE OF LOCHALSH has the best form and is the safest option, though Oxford Comma is less exposed and might have a bigger performance in her.
Oxford Comma could bounce back but preference is for KYLE OF LOCHALSH, who has enjoyed a fine season and is a strong stayer.

Having rattled the crossbar over 6f at Chelmsford on her last two outings, this drop to 5f could prove just the tonic for HEAVEN KNOWS. Rae Guest's filly has shown good early speed and a breakthrough victory looms. The biggest threat may be posed by newcomer Sarabi, a half-sister to a juvenile winner, and sustained market support for the daughter of Siyouni would be interesting. Genius Mistake may fare best of the remainder.
HEAVEN KNOWS wasn't seen to best effect when runner-up at Chelmsford City last time out and has the form to open her account here. Genius Mistake also came in for an aggressive ride when fourth at Southwell on her lastest run and appeals as the one to chase home Rae Guest's filly ahead of Elouise's Prince and Tower of Africa.
Having been a dual runner-up since switched to AW, HEAVEN KNOWS is the form pick. Genius Mistake is second choice.

13/2(-63%) | (6) Man Of The Sea 13/2, Prolific on the Flat and over hurdles on Jersey this summer. Kept busy in Jersey, winning races over hurdles and on the Flat; needs good ground. |

3rd (5) (6/5 +26%) Davidoc |
6/5(+26%) | (5) Davidoc 6/5, Off the mark in a soft-ground C&D maiden in Apil and made a solid start to his handicap career when second of 11 at Warwick (2m, good to soft) 3 weeks later. The winner at Warwick was successful on his next 3 starts so the form looks solid. Second in a Warwick handicap after winning his maiden here; solid claims. |

4th (1) (15/2 -25%) For Pleasure |
15/2(-25%) | (1) For Pleasure 15/2, Free-going front runner who won twice over hurdles last December. Also successful on AW Flat in April. 5th (7) (22/1 -57%) River Gold |
22/1(-57%) | (7) River Gold 22/1, Won a claiming hurdle in France last summer. Struggled in 4 outings for Nicky Henderson, including a couple of handicaps in the summer. Joined another good stable but a watching brief is the call unless the betting strongly hints otherwise. Has a tongue tie refitted. Disappointing in four runs for Nicky Henderson but joined another good yard. |

6th (4) (18/1 -157%) Alto Alto |
18/1(-157%) | (4) Alto Alto 18/1, Four-time winner at Plumpton. Off since a lesser run over fences at Kempton in April but he has gone well fresh before and his stable won the race last year. Always goes well here over fences and hurdles; not handicapped out of things. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Only worn down late in the piece when attempting to land the double at Warwick in May, DAVIDOC had previously been an impressive winner over this C&D and returning to the Sussex track is a big plus as he looks to strike off 1lb higher. A career-best second in the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock in May, Tapley can give him plenty to think about, along with For Pleasure, who should be race-fit after a recent spin on the level at Bath.
It turns out DAVIDOC was up against a well-treated rival on his first venture into handicap company in May and this Ben Pauling-trained 6-y-o can build on that promising run now back at the scene of his maiden success. Junkanoo could be spot on for this after a spin here last month and is second choice ahead of Man of The Sea.
Although RIVER GOLD never got going for Nicky Henderson, she was a good winner in France and it's still early days.

Has fallen to a workable mark but not threatening to capitalise. C&D winner, 4lb below last win, poor last twice but could rebound, very soft a worry. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A dual winner on testing ground, ASISAID will have no problem with conditions and the five-year-old has shaped well in two outings since switching to Denis Hogan's yard. Those runs, including last week's second at Roscommon, showed that he is effective going right-handed and he may be capable of getting his head back in front. Skontonovski, behind the selection last time, is worse off at the weights with his 12lb hike for winning easily at Thurles now kicking in and soft ground won't be ideal for him. Pandion Power battled well when making the breakthrough at Roscommon but is now 7lb higher. Angels On Fire beat Pink Socks in a division of this handicap on heavy ground last year.
PINK SOCKS again shaped better than the result when seventh to Skontonovski last time and, if more goes her way she may be able to defy a handy mark at the possible expense of last-time-out winner Pandion Power. Asisaid is another definite player.
Preference is for PINK SOCKS. The C&D winner rarely runs a poor race at this track and her promising rider takes off 10lb.

200/1(-100%) | (11) Dors Delight 200/1, Eighth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f, 80/1) 24 days ago. Uphill task. Bred to do better but has easily the worst chance on form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
JUST TEN HIGH continues to go from strength to strength, and a 5lb rise for his most recent success here over 7f may not be enough to prevent him from landing the hat-trick on the rise in distance. Runner-up on his last two starts over further, Inspiring Speeches is likely to be thereabouts again, while Meade Gold and the relatively unexposed Lzaz are others to consider.
Having been allotted a basement mark, JUST TEN HIGH has really found his feet in AW handicaps of late and is fancied to shrug off a 5 lb rise and complete the hat-trick. Inspiring Speeches has been knocking pretty loudly on the door so seems sure to be involved, along with Northstead Gardens.
Kempton runner-up LZAZ is preferred. Inspiring Speeches and Just Ten High warrant respect.

150/1(-355%) | (7) Baynoona 150/1, 200/1, last of 8 in handicap at this course (11.6f, good to firm) 47 days ago. Others are more persuasive. Tailed off in all three handicaps and has lots to prove; untried on slower than good. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
It could pay to stick with CARNIVAL DAY as he bids for a hat-trick, with Joe Leavy's 3lb claim partially negating a 5lb rise for winning with a bit in hand at Sandown last Monday. An earlier victory at Brighton came on soft going, so the improving three-year-old will likely cope with today's underfoot conditions. King's Code has winning form at this venue as well as on heavy ground, while it's too soon to write off Historic City, despite a disappointing effort at Kempton last time.
Most have questions to answer, where as CARNIVAL DAY is firmly on the up and proven in similar conditions, so he's a straightforward choice. The Whipmaster could put a poor run behind him and is one to consider, while Spirit of The Bay is capable of getting involved on a 'going' day.
It's hard to get away from CARNIVAL DAY, who has won his last two starts and is open to more progress in this hat-trick bid.

5/2(+38%) | (7) Inappropriate 5/2, On a hat-trick after 1¼m wins at Beverley (good to firm) and Ayr (good) this autumn. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SPIRIT OF ACKLAM was having his first outing since May when finishing a close third at Ayr earlier this month. The son of Cracksman has plenty of scope for further improvement and looks capable of winning off his current mark. A novice winner at Salisbury, Shamran can have a say on his handicap debut with this extra distance likely to suit, while Paddy The Squire will relish the prevailing underfoot conditions and drops in class with a shout.
SPIRIT OF ACKLAM should be spot on for this after making a promising return from a break at Ayr recently and this unexposed 3-y-o can return to winning ways on ground which suits. Austrian Theory hasn't won for a while but he's run several good races in defeat this year and is second choice ahead of hat-trick seeking 3-y-o Inappropriate, who has yet to prove he handles the mud.
A chance is taken on MAGNETIC NORTH, who is on a handy mark now back down in trip on his second stable start.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The hat-trick seeking Lady Dreamer warrants respect in her current mood and another bold bid is forecast. However, a 7lb rise in the ratings for her latest victory at Lingfield could prove her undoing and the unexposed SO QUIET edges the verdict. Harry Charlton's three-year-old endured a rough passage when a staying-on fourth at Kempton last month and compensation could be on the cards. Yorkshire and Chola Empire are also worth a second look.
This looks wide open but Harry Charlton's SO QUIET rates the pick of the weights (latest Kempton fourth reads very well) so he gets the vote at the chief expense of course-scorer Pen Portrait. Lady Dreamer is also well in the mix in her hat-trick bid along with Yorkshire and Riot.
This is a good Class 4 handicap that will take some winning. YORKSHIRE has been mixing it in stronger company this season.

9/4(+10%) | (3) Hobb's Delight 9/4, Much-improved switched to handicaps last winter, dead-heating at Fontwell on Boxing Day and also successful at Southwell in February. Latest second at the latter course (24.3f, good) in June was another very creditable effort and claims on chase debut, granted a clear round. Goes over fences off a fair mark and there are chasers in the family. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (6/1 -200%) Ballyrashane |
6/1(-200%) | (4) Ballyrashane 6/1, Left his chase debut form behind when successful at Fakenham in March and recently doubled his tally in this sphere at Uttoxeter (3m, good to soft). 5 lb rise fair enough and he should be on the premises once more. Winning for a second time over fences when grinding it out over 3m at Uttoxeter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (4/1 +50%) Prime Pretender |
4/1(+50%) | (5) Prime Pretender 4/1, Four time point winner who was runner-up in handicap chases off higher marks several times in 2022/23 season. Record under Rules stands at 0-19 and below par both starts since returning from a break but he's down to a dangerous mark and perhaps the first-time blinkers will have a positive effect. After a successful spell in points he has been quiet in two handicap chases. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (18/1 -177%) Iron Heart |
18/1(-177%) | (1) Iron Heart 18/1, Four-time hurdles winner who was a close second in a Bangor handicap chase (3m, good) in May. However, that is very much a standout effort from his 7 runs in this sphere and he was safely held returned to fences at Ludlow 12 days ago. Dual hurdle winner this season (2m4f/2m7f, good); chasing record is very mixed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (6) (66/1 -32%) Can't Buy Time |
66/1(-32%) | (6) Can't Buy Time 66/1, No show in 5 starts over hurdles and significant step forward needed here following a 7-month absence/wind op on this chase debut. Has a lot to prove having pulled up in both handicaps over hurdles. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
RIVER TYNE accounted for his nearest rival by over a length when scoring at Fontwell in May and she makes her return to action off 7lb higher. Nick Gifford's nine-year-old might only need to produce a repeat of that display in order to record a double. Ballyrashane struck at Uttoxeter earlier in the month and it would be no surprise to see him feature again following a 5lb rise, while Hobb's Delight is another to note on his chase debut.
It's worth chancing PRIME PRETENDER, who has slipped to a potentially handy mark and the addition of blinkers may prove to be a good thing. Chase debutant Hobb's Delight will be a threat if his jumping passes the test, while Ballyrashane was 9½ lengths ahead of the selection when scoring at Uttoxeter but now meets Evan Williams' representative on 8 lb worse terms.
Ballyrashane is feared most but HOBB'S DELIGHT did well over hurdles and is bred to make a chaser.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The Dermot Weld-trained SACRED OATH can belatedly get off the mark. A real eye catcher when staying on nicely to finish third after a troubled passage on her Curragh debut, the Lope De Vega filly proved slightly disappointing when unable to build on that effort at Galway next time. Although only eighth of 22 back at the Curragh on her third start, plenty of subsequent winners have come from that race. With an official rating of 80, the Ken Condon-trained Ina Mina sets the standard. However, with seven runs to date, the daughter of Ulysses may not have as much scope for improvement as some of her rivals. Killarney runner-up Victoria Kesia is also exposed but arguably ran a career best last time.
INA MINA holds the best form on offer so is fancied to get off the mark now lowered in grade having found listed company too taxing when 11th at Naas last time out. Aidan O'Brien's Iseult Of Ireland rates the chief threat with Storm Averted and Victoria Kelsia also in the mix.
With solid efforts on her first two starts, SACRED OATH is forgiven a below-par effort last time and can get off the mark.

6/1(+33%) | (6) Lough Leane 6/1, Started the year with 5 AW wins, including over this C&D. Rare below-par effort at Newcastle in August but given a break and type to bounce back. Rattled off a 5-timer on AW in Feb/March; some solid runs since but below par latest. |

2nd (1) (7/2 +36%) Lerwick |
7/2(+36%) | (1) Lerwick 7/2, Better than ever when successful at Beverley in August. Raised 4 lb and respectable fifth of 12 in handicap at Pontefract (8f, good to firm, 5/1) 32 days ago. 5th (3) (22/1 -144%) Enola Grey |
22/1(-144%) | (3) Enola Grey 22/1, C&D winner. 15/2, respectable third of 7 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good to soft) 27 days ago, running on and a shade unlucky not to finish closer. One to take seriously. Conditions to suit and she's one to consider off her reduced mark. |

6th (7) (9/2 +59%) Bravo Zulu |
9/2(+59%) | (7) Bravo Zulu 9/2, Course winner. 10/3, tenth of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (10.2f) 6 days ago. Clearly backed as though thought capable of much better and he's back down in trip. Looked a good prospect in early runs but handicaps haven't been fruitful; drops back to 1m. |

9th (11) (33/1 -230%) Shaw Park |
33/1(-230%) | (11) Shaw Park 33/1, Three wins from 17 runs this year. Latest win at Brighton in August. Creditable fifth of 11 in handicap (9/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 28 days ago, left poorly placed. Takes his racing well bit this is a slightly deeper race. Three 7f wins at Brighton this year; stays 1m and handles Tapeta; vulnerable up in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (20/1 -264%) Magical Merlin |
20/1(-264%) | (9) Magical Merlin 20/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good to soft, 5/2) 27 days ago. Blinkers replace usual cheekpieces. He has run some sound races at up to a mile this summer but others perhaps better treated. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (5/1 +17%) Cloudy Skye |
5/1(+17%) | (8) Cloudy Skye 5/1, Winner at Pontefract in July. 16/1, good second of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 16 days ago, better placed than most. Assessor looks to have her about right. Progressive at around a mile; yet to run a poor race on AW; still not fully exposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (5) (50/1 -25%) Cori Glory |
50/1(-25%) | (5) Cori Glory 50/1, Latest win at Catterick in May. Fifteenth of 18 in handicap at York (7f, soft, 50/1) 10 days ago. Has a bit to prove currently. Well beaten on her last three starts; fair mark if reviving but others look much safer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The Edward Bethell stable can do little wrong at present and his LERWICK could be primed to strike on his all-weather debut, having scored comfortably at Beverley before being a bit unlucky when short of room at Pontefract last time out. The four-year-old gets the vote ahead of promising Kempton third Bluelight Bay and Lyndon B, who has given the impression recently that he will be suited by going back up to 1m.
INVINCIBLE AURA enhanced his excellent AW record when runner-up from an unpromising position at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago and on that evidence, this mark is well within range. This is compeittive, though, with Lerwick, Enola Grey and Lough Leane all of some interest.
3yos Cloudy Skye and INVINCIBLE AURA look the pair to focus on. The selection's latest second can be upgraded.

10th (7) (40/1 -400%) Dourado |
40/1(-400%) | (7) Dourado 40/1, Very good second of 7 in handicap (20/1) at Lingfield (8f, AW) 47 days ago, no match for winner. Reproduction of that effort would give this 10-y-o an each-way chance off the same mark. Runner-up on AW last month and has claims if he can build on that; versatile ground-wise. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
PLATINUM PRINCE returned to winning ways with a vengeance when scoring on the heavy going at Goodwood in fine style. He was winning from 6lb out of the handicap on that occasion, so another bold bid is anticipated despite a 4lb penalty. Dourado is potentially well treated on previous winning form and a recent second at Lingfield offers further encouragement, while Marchetti is usually in the mix at this level and can feature once again.
MARCHETTI has been knocking firmly on the door of late and is taken to gain a deserved success. She will probably have most to fear from Platinum Prince, assuming that the 7-y-o is able to back up his recent big-priced Goodwood success. Hellavapace makes each-way appeal and she is third on the list ahead of Ciotog and Dourado.
This can go to PLATINUM PRINCE (nap), who won on heavy ground at Goodwood last Sunday and is 2lb lower under a penalty here.

9/2(+10%) | (5) Another Baar 9/2, Latest win at Doncaster in August. Creditable third at Ripon (5f, good to soft) last month and the 7f trip provides an excuse for a lesser run at York since. Should be happier back sprinting. Close third over 5f on soft at Ripon two runs ago; weakened over 7f on soft at York latest. |

10th (1) (18/1 -80%) Digital |
18/1(-80%) | (1) Digital 18/1, Latest win at Hamilton in July. Last of 14 in handicap (11/1) at Doncaster (5f, good) 38 days ago. Bounce back needed. Down the field at Doncaster latest but has run well in the main this term; not ruled out. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SHOWHOUND has shown a distinct preference for testing ground and just missed out over 6f at Leicester on his latest start. Richard Fahey's inmate is unexposed over the minimum trip and looks rated to finally land a handicap. Profiteer won over course and distance a fortnight ago and can make his presence felt once again, while Honour Your Dreams scored over 5f at Bath last month and is marginally preferred to Digital.
PROFITEER was only put up 3 lb for his recent C&D win on similarly deep ground and might be able to follow up. Another Baar had 7f as an excuse for a lesser run at York last time and is feared most. Showhound was a good second on heavy at Leicester a fortnight ago and could also play a prominent role.
Winged Messenger is a tempting option but this can go to HONOUR YOUR DREAMS, who has made a very good start for Mick Appleby.

5/4(+64%) | (6) Coloane 5/4, One win from 23 Flat runs. 13/2, good second of 11 in handicap at this C&D 7 days ago, nearest finish. Looks competitive on form. Confirmed her liking for the course last Monday and enters calculations off the same mark. |

3rd (11) (22/1 +12%) Royal Expert |
22/1(+12%) | (11) Royal Expert 22/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, respectable sixth of 12 in handicap at Chelmsford City (8f, 66/1) 23 days ago. No forlorn hope with headgear again worn. Pedigree offers some hope going this far for the first time; fewer convictions than most. |

4th (12) (16/1 -100%) Guildford |
16/1(-100%) | (12) Guildford 16/1, Good second of 9 in handicap (25/1) at this course (8.6f) 7 days ago. Enters calculations despite being 1 lb out of the handicap. Ran his best race to date when a clear second here last Monday; leading claims if amenable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (80/1 -220%) Ciara Storm |
80/1(-220%) | (3) Ciara Storm 80/1, 50/1, below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f). Off 7 months and faces a difficult ask. Regressive maiden for two yards and can pull hard; would be a surprise winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (100/1 -614%) Miss Raindrop |
100/1(-614%) | (9) Miss Raindrop 100/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable third of 11 in handicap (125/1) at Brighton (9.9f, good) 34 days ago. Shortlisted. Finally finish placed last time; history suggests she's far from certain to build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (15/2 +6%) Sir Laurence Graff |
15/2(+6%) | (4) Sir Laurence Graff 15/2, Latest win at Lingfield in September. Respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at this C&D (4/1) 24 days ago. Can give a good account. Again inclined to pull hard over C&D last time; remains fairly treated if more amenable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (9/1 -50%) Bakersboy |
9/1(-50%) | (1) Bakersboy 9/1, C&D winner. Good fourth of 15 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 12/1) 18 days ago. In the mix. 1lb lower than when going in over C&D for Christian Howarth in June; will have his fans. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (28/1 -180%) Iftikhaar |
28/1(-180%) | (8) Iftikhaar 28/1, Remains a maiden after 22 Flat runs. 11/2, respectable 4¼ lengths fourth of 11 to Sir Laurence Graff in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW) 41 days ago, having the worst of the draw. Ought to be thereabouts. Longstanding maiden; again drawn wide, which isn't ideal for one happiest on the sharp end. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (20/1 -150%) Busby |
20/1(-150%) | (7) Busby 20/1, 4-time C&D winner. Twenty runs since last win in 2022. Last of 9 in handicap (3/1) at Newcastle (10.2f) 34 days ago, not ideally placed. Needs a couple of these to falter. Has four wins and a second to his name in eight runs over C&D but he's on the downgrade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (15/2 -67%) Boujee Gold |
15/2(-67%) | (2) Boujee Gold 15/2, Course winner. Respectable fourth of 12 in handicap (8/1) at this C&D 46 days ago, running on late. One to consider. Fine with this trip for the first time latest; had a light season and enters calculations. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Having found only a revitalised rival too strong here seven days ago, GUILDFORD makes plenty of appeal off a 1lb lower mark. The extra furlong shouldn't hamper the three-year-old's bid and he looks ready to open his account. Coloane returned to form with a solid second over C&D on the same card and she's likely to be in the thick of the action once more. Roger Fell's filly is feared most, ahead of Iftikhaar.
DAPPLED LIGHT didn't enjoy the rub of the green when seventh here last time and can capitalise on a 1 lb lower mark. Coloane is also weighted to have a say and next on the list with Guildford and Miss Raindrop also in the picture in this very open handicap.
A clear second here last week, GUILDFORD gets the nod in the hope he settles better from stall 12. Royal Expert is also considered.

1st (2) (17/2 -42%) Belles Benefit |
17/2(-42%) | (2) Belles Benefit 17/2, Bounced back to form after 5 months off with victory at Cartmel (2¾m, good) in June but not in the same form since and she looks vulnerable from a win point of view. Exploited her reduced mark at Cartmel (2m6f) in June and bumped into one at Sedgefield. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (16/5 -42%) Bella Cavalla |
16/5(-42%) | (5) Bella Cavalla 16/5, Temperamental sort who has made the frame on 3 of her last 4 starts in handicap hurdles, most recently finding just one too good at Fontwell (25.8f, good). 5 lb rise for that effort no great hardship and she's a must for the shortlist. Only beaten a length at Fontwell (3m2f, good to soft) and she saw that race out well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) (11/2 -10%) Luna Run |
11/2(-10%) | (8) Luna Run 11/2, Improved when beaten less than a length into second in 3m Ffos Las handicap at the end of May. Backed that up when fourth at Newton Abbot when last seen during the summer and she's a live each-way contender. Has run well in handicaps and she may show improvement in first-time tongue-tie. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (7/1 -17%) O'grady's Hill |
7/1(-17%) | (1) O'grady's Hill 7/1, Successful in a point during the spring and runner-up in a couple of maiden hurdles in July. Recent handicap debut sixth at Kelso (21f, good to soft) was respectable but she will need to find something extra in order to take this. Three seconds under rules before dropping out on her handicap debut at Kelso. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (40/1 +39%) Chief Lady |
40/1(+39%) | (7) Chief Lady 40/1, Winning pointer but has yet to offer anything of note under Rules and looks set for another struggle. Poor so far in handicaps and has to raise her game in the new cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/4 +39%) Eliza Dolittle |
11/4(+39%) | (6) Eliza Dolittle 11/4, Maiden hurdler who is bred to stay well and duly performed with credit upped to this trip when third of 11 over C&D in April. Ikely would've finished a clear second but for falling 2 out back here the following month and she's one for the shortlist. Running well when falling over C&D in May and pulled hard that day off steady fractions. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (3) (11/1 -38%) Summerleaze |
11/1(-38%) | (3) Summerleaze 11/1, Maiden pointer and has looked limited under Rules, unable to feature on first start for this yard at Worcester last time. Has competitive form but tailed off on her debut for this trainer; bit to prove after that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (10/1 +17%) Harkangel |
10/1(+17%) | (4) Harkangel 10/1, Off the mark in first-time cheekpieces/tongue strap after 12 weeks off at Taunton (3m, good) in April. However, she failed to land a blow at Sratford next time and she may again find one or two too good. 33-1 winner on her penultimate start but overall profile is unconvincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (9) (14/1 -17%) Baby Sham |
14/1(-17%) | (9) Baby Sham 14/1, Got her head in front when accounting for at Fonwell last summer and would be a danger to all granted a repeat of that form. Infrequent winner who has lost her way and remains opposable right now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Belles Benefit was well beaten when second in a stronger event than this at Sedgefield last time, but she might get closer on the downgrade off a 1lb lower rating. However, it may pay to side with BELLA CAVALLA. Neil Mulholland's six-year-old finished over nine lengths clear of the third when runner-up over 3m2f here last month and was put up 5lb for that display. If she can reproduce that level of form, she could be the one to beat. Luna Run completes the shortlist.
BELLA CAVALLA is by no means a certainy to back up the form of her latest effort at Fontwell but she will have every chance if in a similar mood here. Next on the list is Luna Run whose latest effort at Bath was creditable and she still has low-mileage, while Eliza Dolittle is also accorded respect.
Unexposed as a stayer and arriving here after a good run in defeat, BELLA CAVALLA gets the nod ahead of Eliza Dolittle.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A recent winner of a Listed handicap hurdle at Listowel, FRANKENDAEL has to be of interest reverting to the Flat. Lightly raced on the level when trained in Britain, the five-year-old easily won his final start in that code for Edward Bethell. Having improved with each outing over hurdles, the Camelot gelding could still be nicely treated off his Flat mark of 76. The locally-trained Teed Up hasn't reached the heights he is undoubtedly capable of this season but, off a rating 16lb below his best and with his rider claiming an additional 7lb, the Emmet Mullins-trained gelding cannot be discounted. Killarney winner Abbey Actress takes a step up in grade but has the scope to improve further over this trip.
LITTLE LADY LUCY was firmly on top at the finish when scoring at Down Royal 3 weeks ago and there's further progress in her, so she's marginally preferred to Frankendael, who has been thriving over hurdles for this stable lately. Paradise Lost should also be on the premises.
ABBEY ACTRESS displayed a willing attitude to get off the mark at Killarney last time and she could improve again for this trip.

11th (11) (25/1 -79%) Bernalda |
25/1(-79%) | (11) Bernalda 25/1, Fifth of 7 in handicap (10/3) at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 24 days ago. Has work to do but she's not yet the finished article. Not seen to best effect last time and this unexposed filly remains capable of better. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
ZIPSTER can make amends for a narrow defeat when second over an extended mile at Wolverhampton three weeks ago by taking this competitive contest, despite a 2lb rise. The recent Pontefract winner Urban Sprawl could prove to be the main threat, although Shimmering Sands and City Of York also have the ability to give the selection plenty to think about.
ZIPSTER emerged with plenty of credit when second in a strong race for the grade at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago and this previous C&D scorer makes plenty of appeal. Fellow 3-y-o Classic Encounter is feared most, with City of York completing the shortlist returned to a more suitable trip.
Glam Squad can go well back on AW but ZIPSTER is making good progress this year and can record his third success.

5th (2) (5/2 +75%) Mhajim |
5/2(+75%) | (2) Mhajim 5/2, Eleven runs since last win in 2022 but a good third of 12 in handicap at this C&D 46 days ago, suited by way race developed. One to consider. Third over C&D from a wide stall early last month; is quite capable of taking this. |

13/2(+46%) | (6) The Conqueror 13/2, Below form sixth of 10 in handicap (18/1) at Brighton (9.9f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Can make presence felt if shrugging off latest effort. Needs to put two poor efforts behind him; stays further and others make greater appeal. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
BRAMBLE JELLY finally opened her account with a convincing success over 1m2f at Bath 11 days ago. A 3lb rise appears to be fair and another good run can be expected. Pyrrhic Dancer returns to the Flat having landed a hat-trick over the extended mile here on his most recent outings on the level and he looks a threat, while Port Noir can also get involved having won here last week.
A tight-knit handicap but course specialist PORT NOIR is always to be feared at this track so can defy a 4 lb penalty and garner a sixth success here. Bath-victor Bramble Jelly heads the list of dangers with the likes of Olympic Quest, Mhajim, Highland Lil and The Conqueror all worthy of consideration.
Mhajim is surely up to winning at this level when it falls right but the vote goes to BRAMBLE JELLY, whose confidence will be up.

40/1(-300%) | (3) Criminal Shore 40/1, Foaled March 20. €80,000 yearling, Kodiac colt. Half-brother to several winners, including smart winner up to 1m Steip Amach and useful 1m-11f winner Ceisteach. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (22/1 +33%) Hallelujah U |
22/1(+33%) | (6) Hallelujah U 22/1, Once-raced maiden. Sixth of 7 in maiden at Newmarket (8f, soft, 18/1) on debut 25 days ago. Perhaps more of a long-term prospect. Given the benefit of the doubt for a heavy defeat on debut at Newmarket; should do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (11/8 +0%) Kaizen |
11/8(+0%) | (8) Kaizen 11/8, Foaled March 9. 425,000 gns yearling, Kingman colt. Half-brother to smart 2-y-o 7f/1m winner Ylang Ylang. Dam, 2-y-o 7f/1m winner, half-sister to smart 1m-11f winner Laughing. Obvious appeal on paper and confidence behind him in the betting would look significant. 425,000gns half-brother to Group 1 winner Ylang Ylang; a newcomer of some interest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (66/1 -100%) Riyadh Gem |
66/1(-100%) | (10) Riyadh Gem 66/1, Once-raced maiden. Eighth of 12 in novice at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 10/1) on debut 14 days ago, slowly away. Hard to recommend on the back of that low-key opener. 10-1, green and well held on his Wolverhampton debut two weeks ago; needs much more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (8/1 +0%) Via Con Me |
8/1(+0%) | (12) Via Con Me 8/1, Twice-raced maiden. 25/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, third of 12 in novice at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 14 days ago. Needs to raise his game but he's in good hands and is certainly not without at least an each-way chance. Second run (tongue-tie added) was better than his debut; should be involved once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (33/1 -230%) Golden Garden |
33/1(-230%) | (4) Golden Garden 33/1, Foaled February 23. $200,000 yearling, 175,000 gns 2-y-o, Medaglia D'oro colt. Dam smart US 1m-9f winner. Wears tongue strap. Yard also saddles Heart of Honor and the market should be revealing in terms of the pecking order. 175,000gns breeze-up 2yo; dam a Listed dirt winner in US; one of two newcomers for yard. |

10th (5) (80/1 -142%) Grey Operations |

100/1(-150%) | (9) Requiem 100/1, Once-raced maiden. 100/1, eighth of 12 in novice at Kempton (7f) on debut 12 days ago. Another who is likely to be seen in a better light in handicaps later on. Recent Kempton debut not without promise but he's likely one for further next year. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Despite being beaten, END OF ROMANCE confirmed his debut promise when finishing third under a penalty over 7f at Chester in August and a reproduction of that level of form would give him a big chance here. Kaizen is a half-brother to the Group 1 winner Ylang Ylang and the 425,000gns purchase has to be of interest on his racecourse bow. Others to note are Via Con Me and Tremolo.
There's much to like about KAIZEN on paper and it will be an ominous sign for his rivals if the market vibes are upbeat. The Kingman colt is taken to make a winning start to his career, perhaps at the chief expense of Tremolo, who should come on for his introduction at Salisbury. End of Romance is third choice ahead of Via Con Me, while, Kaizen aside, Criminal Shore could be the pick of the newcomers.
Kaizen is bred to be smart and could give the promising END OF ROMANCE most to think about.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MOCKIRR went close in a three-runner affair over 5f at Windsor a week ago. It was heavy ground on that occasion, so the return to this extra furlong should hold no fears for the son of Tasleet and William Haggas' charge looks the one to beat. Newcomer Second Name is related to a couple of Group 2 winners and he could be a big threat, especially if the market vibes are positive. Paulsgonefishing may be best of the remainder.
MOCKIRR has taken a step forward with each of his three runs and is taken to build on his recent Windsor runner-up and get off the mark at the chief expense of Roger Varian's Exceed And Excel newcomer Second Name. Fellow debutante Mrs Potts appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.
Form choice MOCKIRR gets the vote but market confidence behind interesting newcomer Second Name should be heeded.

33/1(+0%) | (2) Washington Dancer 33/1, Last of 9 in nursery at Leicester (7f, good to firm, 22/1) 71 days ago. Makes tapeta debut with something to prove on the back of that tame effort. Promising 3rd on debut (sole AW run); struggled since & hopes rest on the return to AW. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
EARTHY got off the mark in a similar contest at Chelmsford a few weeks ago and Amy Murphy's progressive filly could be hard to stop following a 4lb rise. Woodhay Whisper was not disgraced over 5f at Wolverhampton last time and could go well now up in trip off 3lb lower. The shortlist is completed by Addarella, Final Angel and Lucius Aurelius.
Market support behind DANDY G BOY proved misplaced at Wolverhampton a month ago but he did race too close to an overly-strong pace and in a change of headgear, he's afforded another chance. Woodhay Whisper can improve for 6f so she's a danger, along with Earthy.
Dandy G Boy has a big run in him back at 6f but HARSWELL RUBY has shown enough to think this opening mark could prove generous.

The application of a visor worked the oracle for PALS BATTALION on his latest start and he duly returned a cosy winner over course and distance. The headgear remains in place and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent David O'Meara's inmate from launching another strong challenge. The selection's stablemate Flowstate debuts on the all-weather and could be thereabouts fitted with a tongue-tie for the first time, while Gundogan and Wren Officer are others to note.
Lots with chances but the vote goes to GUNDOGAN who could take a step forward now fitted with a visor for the first time and is taken to bag a second win of the autumn. Recent C&D scorer Pals Battalion heads the list of dangers under a 6 lb penalty with handily-weighted duo Ten Club and Court Drive also in the picture.
This looks a good opportunity for PALS BATTALION (nap) to follow up his win over C&D last week. Gundogan is second choice.

6/1(-33%) | (8) Evoluir 6/1, Confirmed return to form after just 4 days off when second of 11 in handicap (7/1) at Thirsk (6f, good) 5 weeks ago, albeit seen to good effect racing close to the stand rail. 3rd (9) (4/1 +11%) Irish Dancer |
4/1(+11%) | (9) Irish Dancer 4/1, 12/1, ran one of his better races when third of 8 in handicap at this C&D 13 days ago. Just as likely to run poorly here, though. Two runs here have both been promising; repeat of latest C&D third will see him involved. |

4th (3) (28/1 -250%) Savalas |
28/1(-250%) | (3) Savalas 28/1, Latest win at Bath in September. Ran just respectably back on all-weather when fifth of 10 in handicap (10/1) at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 16 days ago. Came from well back to win at Bath last month; less good at Wolverhampton latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (6/1 +40%) Fylingdale |
6/1(+40%) | (10) Fylingdale 6/1, C&D winner. 12/1, run best excused when eighth of 9 in handicap at Nottingham (6.1f, heavy) 12 days ago, racing with one other on the stand side. This her first all-weather start of the year and she's not discounted. C&D winner; quiet the last twice but this season's best efforts give her sound claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (6/1 +40%) Captain Dandy |
6/1(+40%) | (6) Captain Dandy 6/1, 16/1, hinted at a revival over a trip which probably stretches him when fifth of 10 in handicap at this course (7.1f) 11 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Visor on 1st time. On a dangerous mark if new headgear/return to optimum trip has the desired effect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (12/1 -118%) Alibi Warning |
12/1(-118%) | (7) Alibi Warning 12/1, 10/1, again ran respectably without proving much of a win threat when fifth of 8 in handicap at this C&D 13 days ago. Others preferred for win purposes. Exposed maiden and not at very best here last time; dangerous if producing a peak effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (28/1 -12%) May Remain |
28/1(-12%) | (2) May Remain 28/1, C&D winner. 33/1, shaped as if needing the run after 6 months off when tenth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 30 days ago. Front-runner; conditions fine and on a dangerous mark; needs to step up on recent return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (4/1 +27%) Back Tomorrow |
4/1(+27%) | (5) Back Tomorrow 4/1, C&D winner. 16/1, showed a bit more than of late when fourth of 8 in handicap at this C&D 13 days ago. Every chance she can build on that. Faces optimum conditions and ran well for fourth over C&D last time; one to take seriously. |

10th (4) (12/1 +25%) Piper's Fort |
12/1(+25%) | (4) Piper's Fort 12/1, 7/1, again ran below form when seventh of 10 in handicap at Catterick (6f, soft) 19 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time. Not easy to make a case for. Turf win for A Watson in June; yet to fire for current stable; tongue-tie now added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (12) (28/1 -75%) Alextrician |
28/1(-75%) | (12) Alextrician 28/1, 18/1 and visored for 1st time, fared little better down in trip when sixth of 13 in minor event at Newcastle (6f) 80 days ago. Must improve (has had a breathing operation since last seen). 11-race maiden but has shown some promise; wind op since last seen; unexposed at 6f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
EVOLUIR had Calafrio (fifth) and Irish Dancer (10th) behind when touched off by a length into second at Thirsk last month and he competes off the same mark here. Provided the three-year-old can produce a repeat of that display, he could prove hard to beat. Savalas was successful at this level on his penultimate start and it would be no surprise to see him get into contention, while Back Tomorrow is another to watch out for.
An open-looking sprint in which the suggestion is EVOLUIR, who ran up to his best when runner-up at Thirsk 5 weeks ago and back on all-weather, Roger Fell's 3-y-o can open his account at the expense of Back Tomorrow, who showed a bit more than of late when fourth over C&D recently and can build on that. Calafrio and Alibi Warning can fight out third.
Competitive fare and most can have a case argued. Dual C&D winner BACK TOMORROW is marginally preferred to Fylingdale

Up in trip and she's likely to find a few too good once again. Four-race maiden who might have needed latest run; worth keeping an eye on.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (85/40 +39%) Roman Secret |
85/40(+39%) | (9) Roman Secret 85/40, C&D winner. Very good second of 14 in handicap at Redcar (10f, soft, 4/1) 3 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and she's a major player off the same mark. Ran her best race this year when second at Redcar on Friday.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (14/1 -100%) Bella Bisbee |
14/1(-100%) | (3) Bella Bisbee 14/1, Course winner. Latest win at Doncaster in August. 16/1, last of 13 in handicap at Ayr (8f, good to firm) 32 days ago, slowly away. Will have a chance if bouncing back from that Ayr effort. Won at Doncaster in August off 4lb lower mark but beaten twice since.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (33/1 -106%) Tianita |
33/1(-106%) | (7) Tianita 33/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Hooded for 1st time, ninth of 11 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f, 22/1) 16 days ago. Back up in trip and a step forward is needed. Four-race maiden; disappointed on handicap debut at Southwell 16 days ago.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (11/1 -57%) Smouldering |
11/1(-57%) | (6) Smouldering 11/1, Lightly-raced winner. Successful at Kempton in May. 10/1, last of 5 in handicap at Sandown (7f, soft) 38 days ago. Perhaps the conditions were unsuitable on that occasion and she's of interest now returned to the AW. Won at Kempton in May but has disappointed in turf handicaps the last twice.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Narrowly denied in her attempt to land a double at Pontefract recently, STYLE OF LIFE is taken to gain compensation. The progressive daughter of New Bay is preferred to Imitate, who has yet to live up to her lofty pedigree, and the unexposed Disclosure. Not beaten far over further at Redcar last time out, Roman Secret can have a say in proceedings as well.
Having stopped the slide when going close at Redcar recently, ROMAN SECRET could be the way to go. She was a winner over this C&D last November off a 10 lb higher mark and the addition of cheekpieces may help given that she hung in the closing stages at Redcar. Style of Life is in good form and rates the main danger ahead of Smouldering, who was well held last time but is of interest in this lower-grade handicap back on the all-weather.
A decent heat in which STYLE OF LIFE looks best having been in winning form on turf recently. Second choice is Disclosure.

11/8(+8%) | (7) Eavestone 11/8, 4/1, failed to repeat previous effort when third of 9 in maiden at Goodwood (9.9f, good to soft) 57 days ago. Up in trip. Can get back on track returned to all-weather. Placed in all three runs; close second at this course on penultimate; leading contender. |

2nd (2) (85/40 +39%) Eagle Angel |
85/40(+39%) | (2) Eagle Angel 85/40, Improved from debut and had plenty in hand when won 8-runner novice (5/4) at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 12 months ago. Up in trip. Bit concerning he's not been seen since he's in top hands and should improve. Absent since winning at Wolverhampton a year ago on second start; open to further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (85/40 -6%) King Chaos |
85/40(-6%) | (4) King Chaos 85/40, 12/1, showed some ability amid inexperience when third of 9 in maiden at Windsor (10f, good to firm) on debut 9 weeks ago. Up in trip. Big chance with progress on the cards. Ran promisingly over 1m2f at Windsor while shaping as if this longer distance will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (66/1 -313%) Maenad |
66/1(-313%) | (8) Maenad 66/1, Once-raced maiden. Seventh of 8 in novice at Kempton (12f, 12/1) on debut 47 days ago. In top hands but much more needed. Galileo filly; only seventh of eight in Kempton contest but may do better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (200/1 -203%) Trapper John |
200/1(-203%) | (5) Trapper John 200/1, Failed to progress from debut 7 months on when sixth of 7 in novice (80/1) at Epsom (10.1f, soft) 22 days ago. Will make little appeal this side of staying handicaps. Comfortably held in two starts at shorter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (40/1 -400%) Ventorro |
40/1(-400%) | (6) Ventorro 40/1, Off 3 months from debut and showed more having been gelded when fourth of 10 in maiden (7/1) at this course (11.1f) 25 days ago. Very much a work in progress and is likely to progress further. Did a couple of things wrong here last month but managed to improve on debut effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (150/1 -355%) Melsmay |
150/1(-355%) | (3) Melsmay 150/1, Outstrip mare. Dam unraced. Likely outsider on debut. Doubtful stayer on breeding and best watched on belated debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Eagle Angel improved on his debut effort to justify favouritism at Wolverhampton when last seen just under a year ago and he should mount a bold bid on his return to the fray. However, he might find it tough to successfully concede 10lb to EAVESTONE. Roger Varian's filly shaped as though this step up in trip would suit when staying on for third over 1m2f at Goodwood last time and she looks the one to beat. Ventorro isn't out of this either.
A few in with a squeak but KING CHAOS showed ability amidst inexperience when third at Windsor in August and sure to have derived plenty from that, Karl Burke's 3-y-o can go a couple of places better. The main danger may emerge from Eagle Angel. who had plenty in hand when scoring at Wolverhampton 12 months ago and is open to further progress. Eavestone can edge out Ventorro for the bronze medal.
Slight preference is for KING CHAOS, who seems sure to build on his Windsor effort. Eavestone and Eagle Angel are respected.

1st (5) (7/1 -155%) Altanera |
7/1(-155%) | (5) Altanera 7/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Seventh of 9 in handicap (18/1) at Southwell (12.1f) 25 days ago, needing stiffer test. May well have a say in the finish here with this step up in trip a plus. Well related but hasn't looked up to much as yet; it's too soon to write her off though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (5/1 -11%) Nevendon |
5/1(-11%) | (2) Nevendon 5/1, Won 11-runner handicap chase (16/1) at Southwell (15.8f, good to firm) 18 days ago, all out. Below form on last Flat outing and hasn't shone on 4 previous starts on the AW. Makes tapeta debut. In good form over fences of late and is fairly treated back on the Flat; claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/10 +73%) Payment Plan |
11/10(+73%) | (3) Payment Plan 11/10, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1, good fourth of 11 in handicap at Kempton (12f) 31 days ago, faring best of those held up. Likely to be suited by this stiffer test and he could have a big part to play. Better last time and looks worth a try over this longer trip; goes on the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (40/1 +20%) Sky Dancer |
40/1(+20%) | (7) Sky Dancer 40/1, Eighth of 11 in handicap (33/1) at this course (14f) 84 days ago and she looks set for another struggle. Poor in three runs for this yard in the summer; would be a surprise winner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (14/1 -409%) Hidden Pearl |
14/1(-409%) | (1) Hidden Pearl 14/1, Two wins from 4 runs this year. Didn't need to improve to win 14-runner handicap at Catterick (13.9f, good, 14/1) 54 days ago. 3 lb rise means that a shade more is needed but she has to be considered all the same. Lightly raced in recent times but remains consistent and goes well fresh; player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (3/1 +10%) Peripeteia |
3/1(+10%) | (6) Peripeteia 3/1, C&D winner. Latest win at Musselburgh in July. Respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (16.2f, 12/1) 34 days ago. Major player. Two wins to her name from four runs over C&D; is one to consider off a career-low mark. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
HIDDEN PEARL scored over 1m6f at Catterick when last seen in August and is the one to be on that evidence. In form over jumps of late, Nevendon is of interest on his return to this sphere, while Payment Plan looks just the type to improve for going up in trip, having finished off his race well when fourth at Kempton over 1m4f last month.
The vote goes to PAYMENT PLAN, who was doing his best work late in the day when fourth in a 1½m Kempton handicap last month and this step up in trip looks a good move. Altanera also shapes as though she'll benefit from this stiffer test and is feared most ahead of Peripeteia and Hidden Pearl.
A three-time course winner in the autumn months, PERIPETEIA gets the nod off a career-low mark. Payment Plan is second choice.

2/1(+71%) | (6) Old Saxony 2/1, 9/4, fourth of 7 in handicap at Kempton (11f) 26 days ago, unsuited by drop in trip. Up in trip. In danger of becoming disappointing. Combination of new trip and drop to Class 6 may do the trick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (7/1 -40%) Gold Aura |
7/1(-40%) | (2) Gold Aura 7/1, Remains a maiden after 19 Flat runs. Respectable second of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f, 20/1) 24 days ago, not ideally placed. Has had numerous chances to break her duck from similar marks so others more appealing. Consistent maiden; ran creditably upped to 1m6f last time; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (3/1 +40%) Dark Mystery |
3/1(+40%) | (3) Dark Mystery 3/1, Twelve runs since sole win in 2022. Did all he could against an improved one when second of 6 in handicap (15/2) at this C&D 16 days ago, no match for winner. Beat all bar odds-on shot in C&D event most recently; likely player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (18/1 -125%) Sydney Seabreeze |
18/1(-125%) | (7) Sydney Seabreeze 18/1, 10/3 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, proved a let-down when last of 5 in handicap at Newcastle (16.2f) 20 days ago. Bounce back needed. Latest effort suggests this drop back to 1m6f is a good move. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (4/1 +38%) A Gift Of Love |
4/1(+38%) | (1) A Gift Of Love 4/1, Ran another solid race when fourth of 10 in handicap at Bath (14f, good to firm, 7/1) 47 days ago. Has to be taken seriously back on all-weather. Eight-race maiden; two encouraging efforts for new yard; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 -300%) Yippee |
12/1(-300%) | (5) Yippee 12/1, Blinkered for 1st time, saw his race out well when third of 9 in handicap (40/1) at this course (12.1f) 13 days ago, nearest finish. Big player with Murphy booked provided the cheekpieces work as well second time. Ran encouragingly in first-time blinkers here on latest outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (16/1 -256%) Philos |
16/1(-256%) | (4) Philos 16/1, Latest win at Chelmsford City in June. Ran well trying 2m for the first time when third of 13 in handicap at Kempton (16f, 9/1), clear of rest. Off 4 months and rates a player if ready to roll. Four AW wins; in good form in June when last seen. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (33/1 -106%) Can Can Girl |
33/1(-106%) | (9) Can Can Girl 33/1, Temperamental sort. Latest win at Doncaster in July. 12/1, well-held sixth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (15.9f, soft) 19 days ago, merely closing up late. Poor form on AW early this year; no win in this sphere since 2021. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (80/1 -220%) Typewritten |
80/1(-220%) | (8) Typewritten 80/1, Temperamental type. Course winner. Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. 18/1, ran no sort of race when fifth of 6 in handicap at Chelmsford City (16f) 8 months ago. Lacks recent match practice and goes without usual headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (66/1 0%) Kitten's Dream |
66/1(0%) | (10) Kitten's Dream 66/1, Unreliable sort. C&D winner. Thirty-three runs since last win in 2023. 100/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (16.6f) 7 days ago, outpaced from home turn. On a very long losing run and recent form isn't convincing. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
GOLD AURA was beaten two lengths into second when having her first attempt over this trip at Wolverhampton last month and the handicapper might have been kind to leave her mark alone for that performance. Jack Jones' four-year-old looks well placed to get her head in front for the first time this evening. Dark Mystery found one too over track and trip earlier in the month and he should remain competitive off an unchanged rating, while Old Saxony could also have a say.
A tricky finale to solve but A GIFT OF LOVE ran another solid race at Bath last month, so Ollie Sangster's filly gets the tentative nod to open her account. Yippee saw his race out well in first-time blinkers at this track recently, so he's put forward as the main danger with Murphy taking over in the plate, while Philos and Dark Mystery are another couple worth considering, too.
Dropped in class, Frankel filly A GIFT OF LOVE may be able to get off the mark. Dark Mystery is second choice.

1st (5) (9/2 -13%) Bluebells Boy |
9/2(-13%) | (5) Bluebells Boy 9/2, Three wins from 15 runs this year. Latest win at Brighton in September. 15/8, good third of 12 in handicap at this course (6.1f) 28 days ago. Merits consideration. Traded short in-running when bidding for a hat-trick here but couldn't get the job done. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (7/2 +22%) Phoenix Beach |
7/2(+22%) | (3) Phoenix Beach 7/2, C&D winner. Creditable neck third of 11 to Betweenthesticks in handicap (2/1) at this C&D 7 days ago. Likely to be on the premises once more. C&D winner in August and nothing wrong with his last four starts, all here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (33/1 -106%) Gustav Graves |
33/1(-106%) | (2) Gustav Graves 33/1, Four-time C&D winner. 4 wins from 13 runs this year. 33/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at this C&D 21 days ago. Back to a potentially lenient mark but others make more appeal all the same. On a competitive mark and could get the strong pace up front that he needs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (14/1 +13%) Show Me Show Me |
14/1(+13%) | (8) Show Me Show Me 14/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 16/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to soft) 21 days ago, slowly away. Chance if rediscovering old form. Back-to-back wins last year when first tried in a visor; hasn't won since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (10/1 -25%) Pearl Abbey |
10/1(-25%) | (7) Pearl Abbey 10/1, Course winner. 11/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at Chelmsford City (6f) 51 days ago. Likely to find one or two too good. Won a 6f maiden here in March but little impact in handicaps since then; had wind surgery. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (5/2 +29%) Call Glory |
5/2(+29%) | (1) Call Glory 5/2, Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. First run since leaving Michael Appleby when bit below form sixth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (5f, 22/1) 11 days ago, never nearer. One to consider. Not a bad last run and his new yard had four winners here on Saturday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (14/1 -133%) My Delilah |
14/1(-133%) | (9) My Delilah 14/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2023. Respectable fourth of 16 in handicap at Bath (5.7f, good to firm, 14/1) 36 days ago. 0-7 on the AW but she enters calculations. Only 1-20 but mostly in good form this year and another solid effort last time at Bath. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (33/1 -65%) Unavailable |
33/1(-65%) | (10) Unavailable 33/1, Latest win at Lingfield in April. Sixth of 7 in handicap there (6f, AW, 20/1) 37 days ago. Needs to get back on track. Dual Lingfield winner in the spring; might need cheekpieces back on to win again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (5/1 -43%) Betweenthesticks |
5/1(-43%) | (6) Betweenthesticks 5/1, 14/1, won 11-runner handicap at this C&D 7 days ago. Escapes a penalty for that and obvious claims. Escaped a penalty for last week's win here on just third run for this yard. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
BLUEBELLS BOY has run with plenty of credit on his only two previous attempts at this trip and the way he shaped over 6f here last time out, gave the impression that he is worth another go at the minimum distance. The booking of Luke Morris is a major plus, and he may have too much for Betweenthesticks, who had the reopposing Phoenix Beach (third) behind when a narrow winner over C&D last week. Both are likely to enter the reckoning again, along with My Delilah.
A chance is taken on CALL GLORY, who wasn't knocked about on his recent debut for this yard at Southwell and has been eased 2 lb since. Betweenthesticks is a live danger with no penalty to carry for his C&D success last week, while Bluebells Boy, My Delilah and Phoenix Beach are others with appealing claims.
Ian Williams had four winners here on Saturday and CALL GLORY is better/quicker than he showed last time.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
