1st (7) (5/2 +17%) Imperial Data |
5/2(+17%) | (7) Imperial Data 5/2, Irish point winner who, having hit the crossbar on each of his first 3 starts under Rules, deservedly got his head in front when seeing off 7 rivals in a Kelso maiden (20.9f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. That was his first run following a wind op and he probably has more to offer. Winning Irish pointer; won Kelso maiden hurdle last time after a wind op; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (40/1 -150%) Theatre Legend |
40/1(-150%) | (2) Theatre Legend 40/1, Winless since early 2021 and probably best watched here on the back of a 16-month absence. Two ordinary runs following wind surgery in March 2022; off for 508 days; plenty to prove.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (7/2 +56%) Cabrakan |
7/2(+56%) | (6) Cabrakan 7/2, Successful twice last winter, latterly a Hereford handicap off this mark in February. Mixed bag since but he wasn't disgraced when fourth of 10 at Bangor (16.7f, good) last time and could have a part to play here. Two wins at up to 2m3f last term; fair form in handicaps this summer; not out of it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (14/1 -56%) Ve Day |
14/1(-56%) | (4) Ve Day 14/1, Fair maiden on the level for Andrew Balding and landed 4-runner juvenile at Musselburgh (2m, good to soft) on hurdles debut in March. Has failed to add to that in 5 subsequent starts, though, and only fifth off this mark on handicap debut in this sphere at Bangor. Won juvenile hurdle in March; fair form in novices/handicap since; first run at 2m4f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (22/1 -38%) Iolani |
22/1(-38%) | (11) Iolani 22/1, Veteran who arrives here on a losing run that stretches back to September 2021 and while he put in a decent shift at Kelso recently, it's probably best to look elsewhere. Not won for two years but fair third at Kelso last time and is not out of it. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (16/5 +9%) Dream Jet |
16/5(+9%) | (5) Dream Jet 16/5, Irish import who left his previous efforts a long way behind when landing a Stratford maiden hurdle (18.7f, soft) on second start for this yard last month. Remains open to improvement and very much of interest back in handicap company. Won Stratford maiden hurdle last time (2m2f) and has a chance back into a handicap. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (12/1 -60%) Alqamar |
12/1(-60%) | (1) Alqamar 12/1, Completed a four-timer in 2021, with 3 wins registered over 17.2f at Cartmel. Out of luck since and while he continues to slide down the weights (now 17 lb below last winning mark), others make more appeal. Not won since 2021; well treated now and should fare better down in trip on better ground. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (8/1 +33%) Kajaki |
8/1(+33%) | (8) Kajaki 8/1, Three of his 5 wins over hurdles have been gained at this course. Returned to form when striking at Perth during the spring but has found life tougher since and one or two of these look stronger on balance. Not the most consistent (poor run latest), but won this race off 6lb higher in 2022 (28-1). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (16/1 -78%) Ragamuffin |
16/1(-78%) | (3) Ragamuffin 16/1, Three-time chase winner in 2022 and posted easily his best effort so far this year when runner-up in a handicap hurdle at Worcester (2½m, good to soft) in August. Failed to build on that next time but still dangerous to discount having dipped to an appealing mark. Three wins over fences in 2022; not won over hurdles since but a chance on his best form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (14/1 +0%) Titanium Bullet |
14/1(+0%) | (9) Titanium Bullet 14/1, Yet to get his head in front but has made the frame on a few occasions, including when fourth in a 10-runner handicap at Uttoxeter (23.3f, good to soft) on latest start in May. Each-way chance off 1 lb lower on debut for new yard. £32,000 purchase in May; good 2nd in Huntingdon h'cap in Feb; may need the run after break. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (50/1 -52%) Demi Sang |
50/1(-52%) | (10) Demi Sang 50/1, Scored twice for this yard during 2021/22 campaign, latterly over this C&D off a 13 lb higher mark. However, he hasn't shown much in 2 starts for new yard since returning from a year off in June. C&D winner in 2022; below par this summer having missed a year; bit to prove now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
IMPERIAL DATA got off the mark under Rules at Kelso last month and that form suggests that he could be hard to beat now returned to handicap company. Ragamuffin failed to fire on soft ground last time but is more than capable of going well here if the rain stays away, while Ve Day and Dream Jet are others who could go well.
DREAM JET and Imperial Data both have relatively low mileage and could be the pair to concentrate on. The latter appeared to have benefited from a wind operation when opening his hurdles account at Kelso and he is not passed over lightly, but Dream Jet is marginally preferred on the back of his breakthrough success at Stratford.Titanium Bullet makes each-way appeal, while Cabrakan and Ragamuffin are others who could make an impact.
In a tricky race it could pay to take a chance on KAJAKI, who is not easy to predict, but won this race off 6lb higher last season

1st (2) (1.38/1 +77%) Tele Red |
1.38/1(+77%) | (2) Tele Red 1.38/1, Latest win at York in July. 13/2, creditable sixth of 12 in handicap at Pontefract (8f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Tad to find on these terms. Scored twice in July and has remained in form since; drops back in class. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (7/2 -75%) Hortzadar |
7/2(-75%) | (1) Hortzadar 7/2, 12/1, improved on recent efforts to win 12-runner handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 12 days ago by length from Ventura Rascal. Has good chance on form. Beat a couple of these rivals in C&D contest last month; still well treated on peak form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 -20%) Hale End |
4/1(-20%) | (4) Hale End 4/1, Winner at Hamilton in June. Creditable 1¼ lengths fifth of 12 to Hortzadar in handicap at this C&D (good to soft, 4/1) 12 days ago, finishing with running left. Looks a danger. Solid record in cheekpieces; ties in with Hortzadar and Ventura Rascal on latest effort. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (28/1 +30%) Starshot |
28/1(+30%) | (5) Starshot 28/1, 40/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at Redcar (8f, good) 14 days ago, slowly away. Hard to make a case for. Ordinary 3yo maiden who isn't solid on 2023 form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (6/1 -50%) Ventura Rascal |
6/1(-50%) | (3) Ventura Rascal 6/1, C&D winner. 28/1 and tongue strap on for 1st time, good length second of 12 to Hortzadar in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 12 days ago. Finished 1l second to Hortzadar here 12 days ago; remains on workable mark; major player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (8/1 +11%) Cosa Sara |
8/1(+11%) | (7) Cosa Sara 8/1, 3-time C&D winner. Latest win here in September. Respectable fourth of 8 in handicap at Hamilton (8.3f, good to soft, 5/1) 8 days ago. Held on narrowly over 7f here on penultimate start; 4-12 at this venue. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
HORTZADAR had Ventura Rascal (second) and Hale End (fifth) behind when scoring by a length over C&D last month and he was put up 3lb for that effort. The eight-year-old remains well below his previous winning mark of 91 in April last year and he looks ready to strike once again. If Cosa Sara can run to the level of her penultimate start, when successful over 7f at this track, then she could also have a say.
HORTZADAR looks the pick on form judged on his recent C&D win, and gets the nod over Hale End and Cosa Sara.
The 3yo HALE END is taken to show more progress and reverse recent C&D placings with Ventura Rascal and Hortzadar.

1st (2) (8.5/1 -6%) Free Flowing |
8.5/1(-6%) | (2) Free Flowing 8.5/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Below form seventh of 12 in minor event hurdle at Punchestown (19.8f, good to soft, 66/1) 160 days ago. Needs to bounce back. Out of his depth at Punchestown festival, better judged on previous maiden hurdle form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (0.4/1 +60%) Olympic Man |
0.4/1(+60%) | (4) Olympic Man 0.4/1, Promising ex-French 14f Flat winner. Off 28 months before posting a promising third of 18 in novice hurdle at this course (16.8f, soft, 11/2) 59 days ago. Big shout. Flat winnr and placed over hurdles in France in 2021, satisfactory run here in August. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (66/1 +47%) Burru |
66/1(+47%) | (1) Burru 66/1, Notnowcato gelding. Dam, fair dual bumper winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (2½m-2¾m winner) Smitty Bacall. Wears hood. Market can guide. Placed in a maiden point at Dromahane, unlikely to make an immediate impact on the track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (9) (10/1 +70%) Tom Kelly |
10/1(+70%) | (9) Tom Kelly 10/1, Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. First run since leaving Mark Cahill when good third of 14 in novice hurdle at Sligo (20.6f, good to soft, 66/1) 41 days ago. Shortlisted. A long-priced third over a longer trip at Sligo in August, need to find plenty more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (10) (9/4 +75%) Armed And Fabulous |
9/4(+75%) | (10) Armed And Fabulous 9/4, Thrice-raced maiden. 4/1, fourth of 16 in bumper at Tipperary (20.2f, soft) 168 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. First run for yard after leaving Ms Margaret Mullins and not discounted. Placed in two of her three bumpers starts for Mags Mullins, looks capable of winning races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (150/1 -20%) Squire Ohara |
150/1(-20%) | (8) Squire Ohara 150/1, Twice-raced maiden. 18/1, thirteenth of 17 in novice hurdle at Listowel (16f, soft) 13 days ago. Placed in two points, soundly beaten on his first two starts over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (3) (150/1 -50%) Leva Tip |
150/1(-50%) | (3) Leva Tip 150/1, Sans Frontieres gelding. Dam unraced. Wears hood. Betting can prove a good indicator. Newcomer has a senior rider aboard but stable may have a better chance with Free Flowing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (200/1 +20%) Soldat Flamboyant |
200/1(+20%) | (7) Soldat Flamboyant 200/1, Twice-raced maiden. Tenth of 18 in novice hurdle (200/1) at Listowel (20f, soft) 11 days ago. Needs a big step forward. Remote second in a point, no apparent chance on the evidence of two maiden hurdle attempts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (250/1 -100%) Rusheen |
250/1(-100%) | (6) Rusheen 250/1, Ocovango gelding. Dam, modest 21f hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (2¼m-25f winner) Golden Kite. Pulled-up twice in points, transformation needed, dam won a 2m5f hurdle for this yard.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (12) (250/1 +0%) Smart And Sharp |
250/1(+0%) | (12) Smart And Sharp 250/1, Twice-raced maiden. 200/1, tenth of 14 in bumper at this course (16.6f, soft) 22 days ago. Makes hurdles debut. Tailed off in a bumper at Ballinrobe, remote tenth of 14 at Galway, safe to rule out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (80/1 +68%) On The Banks |
80/1(+68%) | (11) On The Banks 80/1, Walk In The Park mare. Dam, ran once over hurdles/once over fences, half-sister to top-class hurdler/useful chaser (winner around 2m) Harchibald and fair chaser (stayed 2½m) What's The Scoop: Made the frame all 3 starts in points (latest Apr 9) so much respected on her hurdles bow. Twice placed in points, beaten a long way both times, in good hands but best watched here. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
POUR LES FILLES looks a nice sort for novice hurdling this season and can make a winning start over timber. The Pour Moi gelding won a point-to-point on debut last year and was also successful on his first outing for Gordon Elliott in a Leopardstown bumper over Christmas. He ended his campaign with a fine run to finish fifth in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April. He'll probably want further than this in time but it looks like a nice starting point. Olympic Man is the obvious danger from the Willie Mullins yard. The Martaline gelding showed promise when third in a strong maiden hurdle here at the festival meeting and is entitled to improve from that. Mullins also saddles Armed And Fabulous, who has shown up well in a few bumpers. She could be place material.
OLYMPIC MAN made a promising start for Willie Mullins after a long absence when third here and can build on it now to fend off Gordon Elliott's interesting hurdling newcomer Pour Les Filles, who brings useful winning bumper form to the table. Armed And Fabulous, a stablemate of the selection, and Tom Kelly can fight it out for minor honours.
Winner of his only point-to-point and of the first of two bumper starts, POUR LES FILLES can make a winning start over hurdles

1st (3) (10/1 +29%) Eagle Prince |
10/1(+29%) | (3) Eagle Prince 10/1, Fair handicapper on Flat, stays 9.5f, respectable effort last time. Makes hurdles debut and not without hope if taking to this discipline. 1m AW winner in April; fared less well since; interesting on jumps debut for good yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (3.5/1 +56%) Latin Verse |
3.5/1(+56%) | (6) Latin Verse 3.5/1, Closely related to fair hurdler Patient Dream. Fair performer on Flat, stays 1½m, looked hard ride last time. Sold out of Ralph Beckett's yard for 18,000 gns in August. Cost 18,000gns in August; 1m4f AW Flat winner; trainer has fine record in these races. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (11/1 +45%) Ironopolis |
11/1(+45%) | (5) Ironopolis 11/1, Fair on Flat (stays 1½m) but possibly better on AW than turf. Shaped as if in need of the experience when last of 3 on Perth hurdle debut but went backwards at Market Rasen 3 days ago. 1m Tapeta Flat winner; 5l last of 3 on hurdles debut; poor run at Market Rasen on Saturday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (11) (3.33/1 +33%) Weigh Anchor |
3.33/1(+33%) | (11) Weigh Anchor 3.33/1, Fair form on Flat, stays 11.5f, runner-up all 3 starts in 2023. Should be up to making her presence felt in a race of this nature over hurdles. Showed fair form when 2nd in two 1m3f Flat maidens; an interesting filly for jumping.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (2.5/1 +9%) Thats Jet |
2.5/1(+9%) | (7) Thats Jet 2.5/1, Modest maiden on the Flat who has already surpassed that form over hurdles, running to a fair level in a first-time tongue strap when second in 13-runner event at KIllarney (17f, soft) 39 days ago. Has since left Ross O'Sullivan and sets the standard. Cost 30,000gns; stable debut; good 2nd in juvenile hurdle last time and sets the standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (11/1 -120%) Noble Hilltop |
11/1(-120%) | (9) Noble Hilltop 11/1, Churchill filly. Dam 6f/1m winner. Yard has an excellent record with its runners in the UK, so needs keeping a close eye on in the betting. 3,000euros 2yo; has US Flat pedigree; worth a market check on racecourse debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (28/1 -12%) Child Of Lir |
28/1(-12%) | (2) Child Of Lir 28/1, Modest performer on Flat (stays 1¼m) who picked up the pieces in a strongly-run affair to get off the mark at Newcastle earlier in the month. Well held in a race run very differently back there last time and now tackles hurdles for the first time. Cheekpieces retained. Inconsistent on Flat; won 1m AW maiden in September; quite interesting on jumps debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (10) (22/1 -83%) The Mayor Porky |
22/1(-83%) | (10) The Mayor Porky 22/1, Ribchester filly. Half-sister to 5 winners, including fairly useful hurdle winner around 2m Young Merlin. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner. Makes some appeal on paper so can't be dismissed. 4,000gns yearling; half-sister to five winners; worth a market check on her debut.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (8) (9/1 -29%) Think Climate |
9/1(-29%) | (8) Think Climate 9/1, Fairly useful at best on Flat (unproven beyond 7f), well held in handicap last time (sole start for Michael Bell). Has joined an upwardly-mobile yard ahead of hurdle debut but stamina for this game very much in question. Hooded. Dual 7f AW winner; not a likely sort for jumping; new trainer has good record with jumpers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (50/1 +0%) Beauty Blaze |
50/1(+0%) | (1) Beauty Blaze 50/1, Looked badly in need of the experience when pulled up in juvenile hurdle at Cartmel (17.2f, soft) on debut 36 days ago, behind some way out. Half-brother to 6 Flat winners; 170,000gns yearling; pulled up on debut; should improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (250/1 -400%) Helianthus |
250/1(-400%) | (4) Helianthus 250/1, Of no account on Flat so easily passed over on hurdle debut. Low-level Flat performer at up to 1m; not an obvious contender on jumps debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
THATS JET put in a career best over hurdles when a close second at Killarney in August and a reproduction of that level form may well be good enough to see him make a winning start for new connections. Think Climate has disappointed on the Flat this year but should not be underestimated here, while Weigh Anchor is another to consider.
THATS JET is exposed as a modest maiden on the level but has taken well to hurdling and, having pulled a long way clear with a promising sort on his final outing for Ross O'Sullivan at Killarney, there's no real urge to take him on. Weigh Anchor has shown a fair level of form on the Flat and ought to be up to making her presence felt in a race like this over hurdles, while Noble Hill Top is a debutante who represents a yard that does very well with its runners in the UK.
The experienced THATS JET\ is taken to get off the mark on his fourth run over hurdles by beating \bLatin Verse and Weigh Anchor.

4/6(+46%) | (4) Golden Strike 4/6, Foaled April 28. €42,000 yearling, 135,000 gns 2-y-o, Calyx colt. Half-brother to winner abroad by No Nay Never. Promising type. Third of 12 in minor event at Pontefract (6f, good to soft, 18/5) on debut 12 days ago, having to pick way through. Will take the beating. Very promising debut at Pontefract, finishing strongly after a messy start; leading claims. |

25/1(+50%) | (7) Firebird 25/1, Foaled March 21. Lope De Vega filly. Half-sister to useful 6f winner Tolstoy and 2-y-o 7f winner Balalaika. Dam unraced half-sister to smart 2-y-o 1m winner (stays 1½m) Bluestocking. Lope De Vega filly; one of three newcomers in the field; market instructive. |

7/1(+50%) | (3) Etretat 7/1, Twice-raced colt. 50/1, much better effort when fifth of 10 in maiden at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm) 48 days ago. Needs another step forward. Drop to sprinting is worth a shot but may find life easier in handicaps shortly. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Inexperience at the start probably did for GOLDEN STRIKE on his debut at Pontefract 12 days ago but the manner in which he powered home to claim a close third was notable and he could be a different proposition with that experience to draw upon. Glory Hyde also catches the eye after a solid run at York last moth, while Bona Fortuna and Firebird appeal most from the newcomers.
GOLDEN STRIKE is the obvious one after a promising debut at Pontefract 12 days ago, the pick on form and sure to improve. Glory Hyde is more exposed but next best on form, while Bona Fortuna is the interesting newcomer.
The pick of the runners with experience is GOLDEN STRIKE. Bona Fortuna and Beneath The Sand are respected newcomers.

2nd (4) (5/6 +0%) Lusitanien |
5/6(+0%) | (4) Lusitanien 5/6, Fair maiden hurdler for Ewan Whillans but he made an impressive winning yard/chase debut in 8-runner handicap at Worcester (16.5f, soft) 21 days ago, always travelling smoothly. Big shout despite a 8 lb hike in the weights. Clearcut winner on last month's stable debut at Worcester; commands respect. |

3rd (7) (10/1 +60%) Uncle O |
10/1(+60%) | (7) Uncle O 10/1, Unreliable individual but not disgraced when sixth of 10 in handicap chase at Warwick (16.2f, good) 8 days ago. It's now 18 runs since his last win in 2021. Has very modest strike-rate but runs this track well and can't be ruled out. |

Tongue strap back on with more needed for his new handler. Ex-Irish 7yo who was last of four finishers on chasing debut; now with new stable. |

5th (6) (22/1 -57%) Estate Italiana |
22/1(-57%) | (6) Estate Italiana 22/1, Got off the mark at Ludlow (2m) in February but below form since, beating only one at Worcester (16.5f, soft) 21 days ago. Hard to make a case for. Won off this mark at Ludlow in February but subsequent form has been disappointing. |

6th (2) (22/1 -144%) Atlantic Storm |
22/1(-144%) | (2) Atlantic Storm 22/1, C&D winner. Spoiled chance with a blunder 3 out when fifth of 6 in handicap chase at Stratford (17f, soft) 33 days ago. Can bounce back. Well below best this season but handicapped accordingly now; can make presence felt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (16/1 -14%) Kings Justice |
16/1(-14%) | (3) Kings Justice 16/1, Modest maiden hurdler who came in only sixteenth at Exeter (18.5f, good to soft) 165 days ago. Makes his chase debut after breathing surgery with plenty to prove. 0-8 over hurdles; combination of switch to fences and wind op needs to enable improvement. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
LUSITANIEN secured a comfortable victory at Worcester over an extended 2m on his latest outing and an 8lb rise might not be enough to prevent him from going in again. Magic Mike was far from disgraced when third at Hexham last time and he should go well off a 1lb lower rating, while Uncle O continues to drop in the ratings and could get into contention.
Fergal O'Brien's LUSITANIEN got off the mark in great style at Worcester on his chase/yard debut and is hard to oppose despite being raised 8 lb in the weights. Magic Mike seems sure to figure prominently too if, as expected, building on his recent Hexham third. C&D winner Atlantic Storm can have a say too.
The most obvious answer is LUSITANIEN, who looked revitalised when winning on his chasing debut at Worcester three weeks ago.

40/1(+20%) | (8) Rockon Henry 40/1, Last of 6 in handicap hurdle at Roscommon (24.5f, soft, 16/1) 8 days ago. Down in trip with work to do. Only three runs since second in a bumper in March 2021, struggled on recent return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
TOMAS O MAILLE has been knocking on the door and may be able to gain a deserved win here. The Arakan gelding has been placed on his last three outings and has been runner-up twice around here. His ability to handle soft ground could prove key. Arctic Ambition is a better horse over fences but has some solid placed form over timber and has to be on the shortlist. He has won on heavy ground in the past so looks versatile. Lake Chad tries to make use of a lower mark back over hurdles and is another that has to come into calculations.
ARCTIC AMBITION rates the pick of these weights so is fancied to bag a third win of the season at the chief expense of in-form maidenTomas O Maille. Lake Chad is on a long losing run but can have a say too along with Killinure Lass, who can build on her reappearance eighth here.
Placed over a range of distances TOMAS O MAILLE may get a winning turn here for his small County Mayo stable

6th (5) (10/3 +5%) City Vaults |
10/3(+5%) | (5) City Vaults 10/3, Fair stayer on the Flat who ran to a similar level sent hurdling after 8 months off when third in a 17.2f Cartmel novice in May. Competitive Flat form at a low level; twice placed over hurdles at Cartmel for this yard. |

50/1(-25%) | (2) Blue Bear 50/1, Failed to justify support in a Warwick bumper on debut for Mel Rowley and jumped none too fluently prior to being pulled up on Stratford hurdle bow last October. Low-level form in a bumper for Mel Rowley and a novice hurdle for Kim Bailey. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
JUMPING SUSIE has filled second place in three of her last four starts but she has been found an ideal opportunity to go one better here. Wholeofthemoon showed some promise in both of his starts over hurdles last season and he managed to win on the level a few months ago. With that in mind, Donald McCain's gelding edges out City Vaults and My Chiquita to be best of the rest.
JUMPING SUSIE is proving a little expensive to follow but she showed a good attitude in defeat at Kelso 3 weeks ago and is worth one more chance to get off the mark. Wholeofthemoon makes appeal back over hurdles and is second choice, with City Vaults and hurdling-debutante My Chiquita others to note.
Brian Hughes rides WHOLEOFTHEMOON (nap) and the selection has won on the Flat since showing an aptitude for hurdling.

7th (8) (2/1 +20%) Star Start |
2/1(+20%) | (8) Star Start 2/1, Gained his third win this year in 10-runner apprentice handicap at Beverley (9.9f, heavy) 7 days ago. Had a bit in hand there and escapes a penalty so he rates a big player. Consistent this term; avoids a penalty for last week's Class 6 win at Beverley. |

8th (5) (28/1 -273%) Montevideo |
28/1(-273%) | (5) Montevideo 28/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable second of 5 in minor event at Lingfield (10f, AW, 5/1) 17 days ago, flattered by proximity. Makes handicap debut with more needed. Switch to handicap level may suit but it's not totally clear whether she's well treated. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Course specialist Ayr Poet returns to a more suitable trip after a near-miss over 1m4f at Hamilton last week and should go well off a 2lb lower mark, but the progressive STAR START is just preferred. The penny has really dropped for the Rebecca Menzies-trained gelding, who made it two wins from his last three starts when scoring over this trip at Beverley last week and he escapes a penalty for that apprentice handicap success. Montevideo is respected on her handicap debut.
STAR START is enjoying a very good season and fancied to bag a fourth win given he escapes a penalty for his cosy apprentices' success at Beverley a week ago. Multiple C&D scorer Glasses Up is always to be feared round here and next on the list ahead of fellow course specialist Ayr Poet.
Last year's runner-up TILSITT is favourably handicapped and may well prove capable of going one better. Star Start is feared most.

9/4(+59%) | (3) Snipe 9/4, Duly landed the odds in a 2¾m Ffos Las maiden back from a break in February. Maiden hurdle winner in February; should have more to offer over fences this season. |

6/5(+20%) | (1) Swapped 6/5, Bumper winner who didn't progress over hurdles but has sprouted wings since switched to fences, winning 2 of his 3 starts in this sphere for Nicky Henderson. Completed the hat-trick with a commanding performance on debut for new yard here (25.8f, good to firm) last month. Obvious claims. Completed hat-trick with wide-margin course win (3m2f) on last month's stable debut. |

3rd (4) (7/1 -27%) No Regrets |
7/1(-27%) | (4) No Regrets 7/1, Notched second success over fences when landing a 6-runner Hexham handicap (24.2f, good) in June. 3 lb rise fair enough but the form of that race looks pretty shaky and he'll probably need a career-best in order to follow up here. 2-3 over fences with cheekpieces added in spring; back from four-month break today. |

4th (5) (15/2 -7%) Donnie Azoff |
15/2(-7%) | (5) Donnie Azoff 15/2, Runner-up on first 2 starts in this sphere, albeit one of those races was a match and he hasn't looked a natural over fences. Back in the winning groove when taking a small-field novice hurdle last month but probably worth taking on now returned to the larger obstacles. Dual 2m hurdle winner this year; has also run well over fences; first attempt at 3m. |

|PU| (2) (10/1 -186%) Tango Echo Charlie |
10/1(-186%) | (2) Tango Echo Charlie 10/1, Winner of a Uttoxeter handicap hurdle last year and perfect start over fences when scoring at Fontwell (21.6f, good) in August. Undoubtedly helped by the runner-up's jumping going to pieces late on there, and now has a 9 lb higher mark to contend with, but he's unexposed as a chaser. Kept on stoutly to win by 9l on chasing debut at Fontwell (2m5f) in August. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
SWAPPED won with his head in his chest at Southwell when making his first start for the Charles & Adam Pogson stable, which brought up the hat-trick for the son of Sinndar. He has been hit with an 11lb hike for that victory, but that could still underestimate his ability. The main threat is Tango Echo Charlie, who was a winner himself at Fontwell last time and he could get involved off 9lb higher, while No Regrets is another to consider on the back of his Hexham success.
SWAPPED was predictably hit hard by the handicapper following his facile victory on debut for new connections here last month, going up 11 lb. However, he barely broke sweat that day and probably has enough in the locker to complete the four-timer. Tango Echo Charlie made a winning start in this sphere at Fontwell and rates the main danger ahead of No Regrets.
All of these have something going for them but SWAPPED was seen to very good effect here on last month's stable debut and is selected.

16/1(+52%) | (11) Max Time 16/1, Creditable ninth of 17 in handicap hurdle (18/1) at this course (22.2f, soft) 22 days ago. Back down in trip and others are more persuasive from a win point of view. Has failed to reach the first six in 12 outings, down the field over 2m6f here last month. |

The locally-trained GETAWAY MASTER is the suggestion in this open affair. An eyecatcher when a never-nearer fourth on his penultimate start at Kilbeggan, the six-year-old since finished a good third when tried over a much longer trip here early last month. Back down in distance now and off a mark of 80, it'll be disappointing if he's not involved towards the business end in a contest of this quality. A runner-up on two of her last three starts, Mullins Cross is given second preference. Turned out again quickly after going down by a length at Gowran on Friday, it'll come as no surprise if she manages to go a place better now. A half-sister to eight-time winner Pakens Rock, Healys Island (first-time tongue-strap) is an interesting contender. A solid third on her handicap debut at Kilbeggan last month, she is open to further progress. Top-weight Young Fitzy and John Ryan's Kilashee are other leading hopes.
You have to go back to August 2021 for when MULLINS CROSS gained her sole success from 25 starts over hurdles, but she's been in good heart of late and looks ready to strike having found just one too good off this mark in a 15-runner Gowran handicap last week. Getaway Master's last two efforts have been his best to date and he is second choice ahead of Young Fitzy.
Friday's Gowran second Mullins Cross is respected but she may not cope with YOUNG FITZY who defied a 7lb higher mark here in 2021

4th (3) (13/8 +41%) Tupelo Mississippi |
13/8(+41%) | (3) Tupelo Mississippi 13/8, Dual bumper/maiden hurdle winner who was runner-up for the fourth time over fences when last seen at Hexham (2½m, good to soft) in May. Has since undergone a wind op and should have a big part to play, provided he's fully tuned-up for this assignment. 0-8 as a chaser; wind surgery since latest outing five months ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (6/1 -20%) Construct |
6/1(-20%) | (2) Construct 6/1, One-time fairly useful hurdler who was runner-up on his chase debut at Kilbeggan (19f, good) last month. However, he was readily brushed aside by the winner and only 3 of the 7 runners completed, so he probably didn't achieve a great deal. Lucky to finish second on chasing debut but still worth considering. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
LATINO FLING held on to win in this grade at Stratford, which made it three out of her last four starts, and she has been let off lightly with only a 1lb rise. The daughter of Milan can continue her upward curve and go in again. Tupelo Mississippi filled the runner-up berth in a class 4 event at Hexham last time and he has had a wind operation since, so could have a say. Irish raider Construct warrants a market check too.
LATINO FLING made it eight wins form her last 18 starts with a gutsy performance on her chase debut at Stratford and, with the promise of better to come from this 8-y-o over fences, she is taken to follow up off just a 1 lb higher mark. Tupelo Mississippi is the clear pick for forecast purposes ahead of Hidden Depths.
Despite modest efforts in his latest two starts, HIDDEN DEPTHS is taken to win this quite competitive little contest.

13/2(+28%) | (2) Sirona 13/2, 20/1, creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at this course (8f, good) 10 days ago. Engaged 3.40 Hamilton Monday. Interesting back down in trip, having been progressive at about 7f last term. |

2nd (3) (5/2 +0%) Autumn Festival |
5/2(+0%) | (3) Autumn Festival 5/2, Eight wins from 27 Flat runs. 13/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, won 7-runner handicap at Beverley (7.4f, heavy) 7 days ago. Carries penalty. Expected to be bang there. Took well to first-time cheekpieces at Beverley last week; warrants respect. |

3rd (5) (6/1 +57%) On A Session |
6/1(+57%) | (5) On A Session 6/1, 20/1, 4¼ lengths seventh of 12 to Master Zoffany in handicap at Chester (7.6f, good to soft) 31 days ago, left poorly placed. Not discounted at longer odds. Useful on his day but has proved inconsistent this year. |

4th (4) (6/1 +25%) Abduction |
6/1(+25%) | (4) Abduction 6/1, 3-time C&D winner. Latest win here in August. 20/1, twenty first of 25 in handicap at this course (6f, good) 10 days ago. Back up in trip. Respected with course form. Has a record of 3-4 over C&D, including a win in this contest last year. |

9/1(-50%) | (6) Rock Melody 9/1, Creditable third of 6 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to soft, 9/4) 9 days ago. Not discounted. 7f winner as a 2yo but her two wins this term came over 5f. |

6th (7) (8/1 -33%) William Dewhirst |
8/1(-33%) | (7) William Dewhirst 8/1, 9/2, career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Carlisle (6.9f, soft) 20 days ago. Has a bit to find off new mark. Suited by step up to 7f at Carlisle last month; open to further progress. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (10/3 -21%) Master Zoffany |
10/3(-21%) | (1) Master Zoffany 10/3, 10/1, won 12-runner handicap at Chester (7.6f, good to soft) 31 days ago. Up 5 lb but still one to consider. Has to overcome a career-high mark and a course that may not be suitable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
Master Zoffany has to be respected following his win at Chester a month ago, while similar comments apply to William Dewhirst and Autumn Festival following their recent victories. That said, preference is for ABDUCTION, whose recent effort in the Silver Cup at this venue can easily be forgiven. Prior to that, the five-year-old was not disgraced in a valuable race over 7f at Ascot and a reproduction of that form would give him a big chance.
AUTUMN FESTIVAL looks well treated under a penalty for his Beverley success, and can get the better of Master Zoffany and On A Session.
Beverley scorer AUTUMN FESTIVAL (nap) looks capable of defying the 5lb penalty judged on peak form. Abduction is feared most.

1st (1) (5/6 +31%) Mystic Man |
5/6(+31%) | (1) Mystic Man 5/6, Has won all his completed starts over fences, making all starting out for Harry Derham over C&D last month, jumping well. More to come. Won comfortably over C&D on last month's stable debut and is now 3-4 over fences. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (4/1 +33%) Bensini |
4/1(+33%) | (7) Bensini 4/1, Hurdles winner who matched his form switched to fences despite lacking something in sharpness at Fontwell last month. Could build on that. Battled well for hurdle win in July and was second on last month's chasing debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (11/2 +8%) Supasunrise |
11/2(+8%) | (6) Supasunrise 11/2, Mixed record over hurdles but opened account in this sphere when taking Huntingdon handicap (19.9f) on Boxing Day. Not in much form when last seen but returns with his yard flying. Won off this mark on Boxing Day; contender if back on song after summer break. |

|PU| (5) (11/2 -22%) Dirk Gently |
11/2(-22%) | (5) Dirk Gently 11/2, Typically looked hard work but made a decent go of it on his first go chasing at Worcester under this rider 5 weeks ago. One to consider. Stuck to his task very well when second on chasing debut at Worcester five weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (4) (28/1 -75%) Mrs Kinsella |
28/1(-75%) | (4) Mrs Kinsella 28/1, Some fair runs without winning over hurdles but little impact for all she faced a stiff task on her first stab chasing at Uttoxeter 3 weeks ago. This is easier and tongue tie goes back on. Well beaten on recent chasing debut but placed on three of six hurdle starts for stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (40/1 +0%) Edmond Dantes |
40/1(+0%) | (3) Edmond Dantes 40/1, Market Rasen winner for Ruth Jefferson in February 2022 but low-key start for this yard there in June. Safely held on stable debut in June and returns from break with quite a bit to prove. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MYSTIC MAN justified favouritism with ease over C&D last month but was hit with an 11lb hike for that success. However, considering the manner of that victory he could be well up to the task on only his second start for the Harry Derham stable. Dirk Gently filled the runner-up spot at Worcester last time and has to be considered off only 1lb higher, while Bensini is also of interest sporting first-time cheekpieces.
MYSTIC MAN can go on improving and another victory looks on the cards. Dirk Gently might be the danger.
Progressive 6yo MYSTIC MAN (nap) has taken well to chasing this year and he always looked in command when making all here last month.

1st (4) (85/40 +85%) My Design |
85/40(+85%) | (4) My Design 85/40, Useful chaser. Blinkered for 1st time, respectable third of 6 in novice chase at Listowel (20f, soft, 11/2) 13 days ago, doing too much too soon. Tongue strap back on. Along with Lucid Dreams has the benefit of race fitness but Feronily is a tough opponent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (1/2 -14%) Feronily |
1/2(-14%) | (2) Feronily 1/2, Promising individual. Winner of a Grade novice chase at Punchestown in April. Put in a good shift over hurdles in France when last seen in May and very much the one to beat back in this sphere. Grade 1 novice winner achieved a great deal in a short time last season, hard to oppose. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (8/1 +11%) Frontal Assault |
8/1(+11%) | (1) Frontal Assault 8/1, Useful chaser. C&D winner last October. Well-beaten sixth of 9 to Churchstonewarrior in Ten Up Novices' Chase (11/1) at Navan (24f, good to soft) when last seen 7 months ago. Now back in calmer waters but no easy task conceding weight all round. Won this event last year, meets Feronily on 18lb worse than handicap terms, vulnerable. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
With a rating of 155, FERONILY is the one to beat. He defeated a quality field when taking a Grade 1 at Punchestown last season, providing Emmet Mullins and Donagh Meyler with their first success at the highest level. Last seen finishing a solid fifth in the French Champion Hurdle at Auteuil in May, the six-year-old starts off in the colours of JP McManus now. Frontal Assault won this race 12 months ago and has run some good races in defeat since. Fifth in the Troytown and sixth in the Thyestes, he should be able to put his experience to good use. Lucid Dreams impressed at Sligo last week and it'll be interesting to see how he fares stepping up in class. My Design faces a stiff task but isn't without a squeak, getting weight from her three rivals and with Ray Barron claiming 7lb.
Provided all is well following a break, FERONILY will prove very hard to beat. He showed plenty in bumpers and over hurdles, but there was immediate improvement when switched to fences during the spring, finishing second in a Cork Grade 3 prior to a top-level success at the Punchestown Festival. This unexposed 6-y-o almost certainly has more to offer as a chaser. Lucid Dreams scored in good style on his debut in this sphere at Sligo and is next best ahead of My Design.
This should be fairly straightforward for FERONILY who is very much favoured by the race conditions on his first start in these colours

Has to be taken seriously. Off the mark over fences off 10lb lower at Aintree in June; two good runs since; chance. |

Best run since March when 3rd at Market Rasen latest; stiffer task from 3lb out the h'cap. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (9/1 -29%) Dr Sanderson |
9/1(-29%) | (5) Dr Sanderson 9/1, Disappointed over hurdles and failed to revive for the return to chasing when a remote third at Uttoxeter (20.9f) in June. Others appeal more. Five wins over fences, two in 2022; below form since; well treated; worth a market check. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
FEARLESS finished miles clear of the third when only beaten just over a length at Uttoxeter latest, and he was given a 6lb rise for that. The eight-year-old was returning from a long break that day and he could easily take a step forward to go one better. Aliomaana was a close-up third at Stratford last month and she should go well, while last-time-out victor Tonto's Spirit has to be considered off 5lb higher.
FEARLESS returned from a lengthy absence with an excellent second at Uttoxeter and is weighted to go one better here. Aliomaana is feared most on the back of her encouraging Stratford chasing debut third with course-scorer Tonto's Spirit also in the picture.
Having broken a long losing run at Cartmel last time, TONTO'S SPIRIT is taken to follow up by beating the in-form Fearless.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
KALGANOV (second) had Jkr Cobbler (third) behind over C&D on his penultimate start before following up that effort with victory at Redcar. The son of Gutaifan looks to have been found another golden opportunity to strike. As for the latter, he recorded a hat-trick prior to his defeat last time and can get involved once again. Of the remainder, New Tycoon makes the most appeal on his first start for the Liam Bailey yard.
JKR COBBLER has enjoyed a fruitful second half of the season at this track and he's fancied to add another win on the back of a good effort here 12 days ago. Last-time-out winner Kalganov is a big player and Code Purple can't be ruled out.
Jkr Cobbler and Kalganov are leading players on current form but an interesting alternative is ROGUE FORCE.

First run for yard after leaving Sam Thomas for £70,000. Clearcut winner at Chepstow in March; now with new stable after £70,000 sale. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
DESTROYTHEEVIDENCE hand plenty in hand when getting off the mark at Worcester in May and the son of Kayf Tara is hard to oppose on his return to action. That said, Butch has also shown a high level of ability already and he could give the selection plenty to think about. Tzarmix is another with valid form claims, while Cheltenam De Vaige is the pick of the remainder.
BUTCH was very much going the right way over hurdles towards the end of last season and, with the step up to 3m likely to suit on his return, this looks a good opportunity for him to resume winning ways. Tzarmix rallied well to get up in the closing stages at Chepstow in March and may do better still for his new yard, especially over this sort of trip, with Destroytheevidence capable of making his presence felt, too.
Destroytheevidence is respected but preference is for BUTCH, who brings a solid piece of handicap form back into novice company.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (7) (40/1 +0%) Steppenwolf |
40/1(+0%) | (7) Steppenwolf 40/1, Fair hurdler. 9/1, pulled up in novice chase at Limerick (19.7f, good to soft) 131 days ago. Others make more appeal. Inferior hurdler to some of these; looks the yard's number two behind Perceval Legallois. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (3/1 -100%) Itswhatunitesus |
3/1(-100%) | (2) Itswhatunitesus 3/1, Useful hurdler. 11/4, folded as if amiss pulled up in novice chase at Kilbeggan (19.1f, good to soft) on debut over fences 144 days ago, headed approaching 3 out. Too soon to write him off in this sphere. Useful hurdler; jumped well before weakening on chase debut; he's better than that. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
PERCEVAL LEGALLOIS was the best of these over flights and looks the one to beat as he tackles fences for the first time. He won a valuable Grade B contest at the Dublin Racing Festival in February and while most effective over further, he was successful in a two-mile bumper on debut. Patrick Mullins will don his own silks aboard Meetingofthewaters, with this six-year-old an interesting contender on his debut for current connections. A dual winner over flights when in the care of Eugene O'Sullivan, he could come into his own over the larger obstacles. Itswhatunitesus won three of his first five starts, but has been very disappointing since. Returning from a break, though, he should be able to make his presence felt. A winner at the Festival here in July, Neveradullmoment warrants respect, while Japers Jack looks the best of the rest.
PERCEVAL LEGALLOIS was last seen landing a competitive handicap hurdle at Leopardstown and he's the type to take to chasing, so he gets the nod ahead of Meetingofthewaters, who is also having a first try over fences having moved to a powerful stable. Itswhatunitesus can't be ruled out despite an underwhelming performance last time.
Gavin Cromwell's PERCEVAL LEGALLOIS showed his standout form over hurdles at 3m but he's not short of speed.

1st (11) (6/1 +25%) Escobedo |
6/1(+25%) | (11) Escobedo 6/1, Modest maiden hurdler. Below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good) 31 days ago. Others more persuasive. Latest run (Newton Abbot) was underwhelming and he's now 0-19. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (15/2 +17%) Leopolds Rock |
15/2(+17%) | (8) Leopolds Rock 15/2, C&D winner who posted a respectable third of 10 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, good) 34 days ago. Unreliable type, however. Competitive this time last year; this would be a little easier than Uttoxeter race latest. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (10/1 +9%) Brian's Jet |
10/1(+9%) | (7) Brian's Jet 10/1, Blinkered for 1st time, returned to form when second of 10 in selling hurdle at Hexham (16.2f, good to soft) 150 days ago. Needs to back it up now with the headgear retained. Second in a seller in May last time when first-time blinkers triggered something. |

4th (4) (17/2 -6%) Ferrybridge |
17/2(-6%) | (4) Ferrybridge 17/2, 22/1, pulled up in handicap hurdle at Limerick (22f, soft) 68 days ago on his final run for Michael Hourigan. May still do better for his new yard. Maiden in Ireland; bought for £6,500 and perhaps new trainer can turn things around. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (22/1 -83%) Balkalin |
22/1(-83%) | (2) Balkalin 22/1, Veteran who scored at Kelso in May. Not disgraced when fourth of 6 in handicap hurdle there (20.9f, good to firm) 21 days ago so he's one for the shortlist. Both wins at Kelso and he ran another solid race back there three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (12/1 -50%) Copper Fox |
12/1(-50%) | (5) Copper Fox 12/1, Fair winner over hurdles who comes here on the back of a below-par second of five over fences at Market Rasen 45 days ago. Back in this sphere after a wind op with more needed. Capable of winning races off this mark; back hurdling following wind operation. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (13) (40/1 +39%) Strong Team |
40/1(+39%) | (13) Strong Team 40/1, C&D winner in 2021 but he arrives out of sorts, eighth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 7 days ago. Switches to hurdles with lots to prove. It's mostly been a struggle under both codes this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (22/1 -10%) Virtuoso |
22/1(-10%) | (12) Virtuoso 22/1, Fair 14f winner on Flat for Andrew Balding. Changed hands for 14,000 gns and well held all three starts over hurdles, tried in cheekpieces once. Hard to make a case for. Plenty to prove but this is her first handicap over jumps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (25/1 +0%) Thomas Cranmer |
25/1(+0%) | (9) Thomas Cranmer 25/1, Five-time Flat winner but last of those came back in 2018. Fair maiden in this sphere so no forlorn hope back hurdling now. Five-time winner but has not been in best of form this year and others make more appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (6) (12/1 +25%) North Parade |
12/1(+25%) | (6) North Parade 12/1, C&D winner but off 7 months since posting a below form fourth of 8 in handicap hurdle here. Needs to hit the ground running. Faded out of contention over C&D in February last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (3) (11/8 +27%) Cardano |
11/8(+27%) | (3) Cardano 11/8, Fairly useful 12f winner on the level who scored last month on the back of a wind op. Has shown some promise in three runs over hurdles and his opening mark looks lenient. Interesting. 1m4f winner last month and interesting now making handicap debut over hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (40/1 -150%) No Recollection |
40/1(-150%) | (1) No Recollection 40/1, Dual 2m winner who failed to get home when ninth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Worcester (20f, good to soft) 35 days ago. Not discounted back in trip. Capable on his day but positives couldn't be taken out of his last three runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (10) (25/1 -25%) Bentham |
25/1(-25%) | (10) Bentham 25/1, It's now 32 runs since his last win in 2020 and he arrives below par too, fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Cartmel (17.2f, soft) 38 days ago. Others appeal more. No closer than 13l in five handicap hurdles for this yard and needs to raise his game. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
CARDANO, who was rated 100 at his peak on the Flat, has to be of interest as he returns to hurdles at a modest level, and may well be able to use this as a stepping stone to bigger things throughout the winter. Copper Fox could be the one to give the selection a scare along the way if his jumping proves to be a little rusty, while Brian's Jet and North Parade are a couple of others boasting claims.
Not so competitive as the numbers suggest. CARDANO showed the benefit of a wind op when going in on the level last month and can capitalise on a good opening mark in this sphere. In-form veteran Balkalin is next on the list ahead of No Recollection, who should prove suited by dropping back in distance.
A few have claims but LEOPOLDS ROCK would have every chance if rediscovering his form from this time last year.

14/1(-56%) | (4) The Bay Warrior 14/1, Very good second of 9 in handicap at this C&D (14/1) 24 days ago, having run of race. Ought to be in the shake-up. Handy mark and has run well here several times; each-way player.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (11/1 -10%) Buxted Reel |
11/1(-10%) | (5) Buxted Reel 11/1, C&D winner. One win from 21 Flat runs. Below form sixth of 13 in handicap at Yarmouth (14.1f, good, 8/1) 63 days ago. Chance on old form. C&D winner last year when 5lb lower; handy mark but has a bit to prove.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Just a length and a half separated Starfighter (winner) and SEA OF CHARM (second) when they clashed over C&D 10 days ago but, with a 5lb pull, the latter is fancied to turn the form around. The five-year-old mare has held her from well since joining her current yard and appeals with Christian Howarth retaining the ride. Waterloo Sunset is unexposed at the trip and is another to consider.
STARFIGHTER comfortably capitalised on a much-reduced mark when going in over C&D last time out so looks the way go despite taking a 5 lb rise. Sea Of Charm followed Mark Loughnane's 7-y-o home that day and can again claim second spot ahead of Hashtagmetoo and Waterloo Sunset.
The suggestion is HASHTAGMETOO, who was a shade unlucky here last time, when travelling like a serious player.

1st (1) (11/4 +21%) Alpine Sierra |
11/4(+21%) | (1) Alpine Sierra 11/4, Course winner. 9/2, creditable fifth of 13 in handicap at this course (8f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Dropped to a handy mark and last couple of efforts have been more encouraging. Sole attempt in Class 6 resulted in 1m win here; major player if coping with return to 7f. |

2nd (9) (5/2 +44%) Darbucks |
5/2(+44%) | (9) Darbucks 5/2, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. 10/3, creditable second of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, soft) 20 days ago. Deserves respect. Consistent form since July includes two placed efforts over C&D; solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5/1 +9%) First Greyed |
5/1(+9%) | (3) First Greyed 5/1, Latest win at Beverley in August. Bit below form sixth of 15 in handicap (7/1) at Thirsk (7f, soft) 15 days ago, left poorly placed. Best not judged on latest effort and had been in good order previously. Recent Class 5 form suggests he cannot be dismissed on this first Class 6 attempt. |

4th (8) (7/1 +30%) Global Humor |
7/1(+30%) | (8) Global Humor 7/1, Unreliable individual. 3-time C&D winner. Latest win here in June. Looked unlucky when fourth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft, 18/1) 12 days ago, finishing well after not clear run. Makes appeal despite his quirks. Met traffic issues on his way to finishing fourth over C&D 12 days ago; not ruled out. |

5th (10) (18/1 -13%) Zebra Star |
18/1(-13%) | (10) Zebra Star 18/1, 18/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at this course (8f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Appears to have lost her form for the time being. Below best over 1m2f and 1m here for new yard; 2yo win came at this trip. |

7th (12) (22/1 +12%) Genevieve |
22/1(+12%) | (12) Genevieve 22/1, Respectable fifth of 12 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to soft, 18/1) 8 days ago. Hard to fancy. Now 0-12 and still has no placed form. |

9th (6) (80/1 -21%) Flash Bulb |
80/1(-21%) | (6) Flash Bulb 80/1, Eleventh of 12 in handicap (100/1) at this course (8f, good) 78 days ago. Not easy to make a case for. Holds weak claims on form; had a second wind surgery since last run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (4) (33/1 -18%) Gordonstoun |
33/1(-18%) | (4) Gordonstoun 33/1, 33/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 12 days ago. Something to prove at the moment. Has achieved little in two outings this term, latest over C&D. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
The consistent MONHAMMER is a specialist at this intermediate trip and, as a previous C&D winner, he ticks the right boxes given his proven versatility with regard to the ground. David Allan also knows how to get a good tune out of the selection and he could be the one to beat today. Alpine Sierra and First Greyed are a couple of others with respectable course form, while Purple Martini still has relatively low mileage and can figure off just 2lb above his last winning mark.
ALPINE SIERRA has become well treated and his last two runs have indicated that he's back in reasonable form, so he's worth chancing in an open-looking race. Global Humor is a danger having shaped well over C&D last time and Darbucks is likely to be involved again.
Off a handy mark, ALPINE SIERRA may prove the answer back in this grade. Purple Martini is second choice.

9/1(+73%) | (9) She's A Rocca 9/1, Hasn't fired since winning here last summer but may strip fitter for her recent return at Bangor. 2nd (3) (11/8 +50%) Heross Du Seuil |
11/8(+50%) | (3) Heross Du Seuil 11/8, Easily best effort for this stable when landing an 8-runner handicap at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago. Remains well treated on old form and makes plenty of appeal again. Returned to form at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago and recent 7lb rise looks manageable. |

3rd (4) (5/1 +55%) Could Be Trouble |
5/1(+55%) | (4) Could Be Trouble 5/1, Fairly useful hurdler who wasn't disgraced at Cartmel when last seen four months ago. Cheekpieces back on and mark is becoming lenient. Not firing on all cylinders when last seen in spring but too well handicapped to rule out. |

4th (5) (5/1 -25%) Roll With It |
5/1(-25%) | (5) Roll With It 5/1, Upped his game wrong when scoring at Market Rasen in July and, for all that he failed to back it up, he remains with potential now tongue tied on handicap debut. Well beaten on two of three hurdling starts but won Market Rasen novice in between. |

5th (2) (22/1 -57%) Baileys Derbyday |
22/1(-57%) | (2) Baileys Derbyday 22/1, Fair 14f winner on Flat who got off the mark over hurdles in 2m maiden here in June. Yet to build on that and his mark looks high. Won 2m Worcester maiden in June but safely held in 2m4f handicap there in August. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (7/2 +30%) Redbridge Rambler |
7/2(+30%) | (8) Redbridge Rambler 7/2, Promise in bumpers and sound start to hurdles career when third of 11 at Uttoxeter in May. Excuses both starts since (might have needed the run at Stratford latest), so not one to write off switched to handicaps. Twice a beaten favourite since promising hurdle debut but still enters calculations. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
HEROSS DU SEUIL bounced back to form with a decisive victory at Uttoxeter a couple of weeks ago and he clearly sets the standard, despite a 7lb rise for that success. Redbridge Rambler has shown some promise in maiden events and could take a big step forward now switched to handicap company, while Dom Perry and Could Be Trouble should not be underestimated on their return to action.
HEROSS DU SEUIL bounced back to capitalise on a lenient mark at Uttoxeter and has plenty of handicapping scope based on past efforts, so he's preferred to the lightly-raced Dom Perry, who could return to form after a break. Throne Hall is another one to consider.
It might be worth chancing the fitness of 2m course winner DOM PERRY, who is quite well handicapped on his seasonal debut

5/1(-82%) | (3) The Little Yank 5/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. Creditable second of 5 in minor event chase at Sligo (21.2f, heavy, 5/2) 6 days ago. Boasts solid claims despite the quick turnaround. Beaten by the right horse in a non-handicap at Sligo the last time. |

3rd (5) (14/1 +30%) The Dara Man |
14/1(+30%) | (5) The Dara Man 14/1, Unreliable sort. Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. 16/1, eighth of 12 in handicap chase at Listowel (17f, soft) 11 days ago. Hasn't been great of late and he'd prefer drier ground in an ideal world. |

4th (2) (6/1 +20%) Take All |
6/1(+20%) | (2) Take All 6/1, Latest win in chase at Wexford in July. Below form sixth of 10 in handicap chase at Listowel (22f, soft, 11/1) 10 days ago. Can be inconsistent though and it was a struggle at Listowel only ten days ago. |

5th (1) (9/2 +18%) Born By The Sea |
9/2(+18%) | (1) Born By The Sea 9/2, Course winner. Fifteen runs since last win in 2021. 18/1, thirteenth of 17 in handicap chase at Listowel (24f, soft) 13 days ago. Down in trip. Cheekpieces back on. Others are more appealing. Useful stayer; can cope with this trip and it's his best opportunity for a while. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (5/2 +50%) Battle Of Mirbat |
5/2(+50%) | (6) Battle Of Mirbat 5/2, 1 win from 3 runs this season. 9/2, career best when winning 8-runner handicap chase at Wexford (25.3f, good to soft) 105 days ago, driven out. Down in trip. Should go well again. His Wexford win was over 3m1f and he's reportedly better going left handed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
John Ryan is certainly not letting THE LITTLE YANK rest on his laurels but the eight-year-old takes his racing well and might get a turn here. After a couple of creditable spins over hurdles at Listowel, the Westerner gelding ran close to his mark in a conditions chase at Sligo last week and earlier in the summer had Pats Choice back in fourth when runner-up in a valuable handicap at Killarney. Pats Choice had previously been a fortunate winner at Wexford when left in front by a last-fence faller who was clear but his course-and-distance third at the festival in August was a decent effort. Take All had been off eleven weeks before running out of steam at Listowel and this drop in trip will suit but 2m2f looks too sharp for Grand National sixth Born By The Sea.
Having run well from out of the handicap at this course a couple of months ago, PATS CHOICE is fancied to capitalise on this better opportunity. The Little Yank and Battle of Mirbat arrive in form and are regarded as serious dangers.
A tight handicap. BORN BY THE SEA has a good bit of class about him and this is probably his best opening for a while.

6th (3) (11/2 +8%) Milochello |
11/2(+8%) | (3) Milochello 11/2, Ocovango gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (winner around 2m) Native Stag. Worthy of interest if the market speaks in his favour. Fourth living foal; unraced dam closely related to 2m/2m4f hurdle winner Master Oscar. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (50/1 +24%) Hang On |
50/1(+24%) | (5) Hang On 50/1, Out of a bumper winner but little encouragement at Newcastle on debut. Others make more appeal. Dropped right out to be tailed off when 66-1 at Newcastle in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (28/1 -40%) Bear Ridge |
28/1(-40%) | (8) Bear Ridge 28/1, Hinted at ability when sixth in a Southwell bumper 141 days ago. New yard tries a hood, so could improve. 125-1 for Southwell debut (good) but shaped quite well in finishing sixth. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Irish raider HYPERSONIC MISSILE appeals most after a commendable second to one of Willie Mullins' powerful string in a Sligo bumper in August. Tommy Time, who won a similar race in Ireland for his previous yard in April, is feared most after a respectable effort under a penalty on debut for new connections at Newcastle. Debutants Milochello and Pictou Lodge are others to note.
TOMMY TIME was a bit underwhelming on his stable debut but the form of his win prior to that is comfortably the best on offer, so he's worth another chance. Pictou Lodge's pedigree catches the eye and he's likely to feature along with Hypersonic Missile.
The standout form contenders are HYPERSONIC MISSILE and Tommy Time. The selection bumped into a promising one last time.

7.5/1(+32%) | (9) Lady Bouquet 7.5/1, Creditable third of 9 in nursery (15/2) at Musselburgh (5f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Much respected on her tapeta debut. Two creditable efforts at Musselburgh the last twice; needs more for this switch to AW. |

2nd (1) (2.5/1 +9%) Pinpoint |
2.5/1(+9%) | (1) Pinpoint 2.5/1, Winner at Bath in August. 10/3, respectable third of 11 in nursery at Kempton (7f) 15 days ago. Back down in trip. Makes tapeta debut and in the mix. String of good runs since handicapping and he looks set to go well once again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (4.5/1 +10%) Dadas Boy |
4.5/1(+10%) | (7) Dadas Boy 4.5/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Very good third of 7 in nursery at Brighton (6f, good to soft, 6/1) 22 days ago. One for the shortlist. Better effort on nursery debut latest; further progress required to defy a wide draw. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (1.62/1 +19%) Amroon |
1.62/1(+19%) | (6) Amroon 1.62/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 5/2, good second of 12 in nursery at Southwell (5f) 5 days ago. Enters calculations. Well backed & ran well for second on Thursday's nursery debut; more to come; strong claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (25/1 -79%) Ritzy |
25/1(-79%) | (3) Ritzy 25/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable sixth of 11 in nursery at Kempton (7f, 50/1) 15 days ago, slowly away. Back down in trip. Can give a good account. Big prices and only modest form in five runs at up to 7f; down in weights but others safer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (33/1 -200%) Ludberg |
33/1(-200%) | (4) Ludberg 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden, best run when third of 4 in maiden (66/1) at Bath (5f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Needs considering. Seemingly showed improvement last time but remains to be seen if this mark is generous. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (10) (25/1 -39%) Perelle |
25/1(-39%) | (10) Perelle 25/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Had wind op before coming in a good fifth of 9 to Pinpoint in nursery at Bath (5f, good, 6/1) 55 days ago. Needs to build on it. Showed more on her nursery debut 8 weeks ago, only beaten 3l into 5th; capable of better. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (25/1 -108%) Musical Diva |
25/1(-108%) | (5) Musical Diva 25/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Eighth of 9 in nursery (18/1) at Musselburgh (5f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Visor on 1st time. Needs a couple of these to falter. Patchy record and new surface/headgear needs to spark something extra. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (66/1 -164%) Naval Flight |
66/1(-164%) | (8) Naval Flight 66/1, 28/1, seventh of 10 in nursery at Carlisle (5f, good to firm) 26 days ago, slowly away. More is required. Not progressing and she looks opposable despite her reduced mark. |

10th (11) (28/1 +15%) Havana Mojito |
28/1(+15%) | (11) Havana Mojito 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 125/1, eighth of 10 in minor event at Bath (5f, good to firm) 41 days ago, slowly away. Lots more required on his handicap debut. Down field in three runs this summer; first realistic opportunity today but others safer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Having placed in three deeper races since he scored on his nursery debut at Bath, PINPOINT is well fancied now dropping in trip. Richard Hannon's colt faded into third in the final furlong over 7f at Kempton, but went close there and at Windsor on his two outings prior. Amroon made a pleasing beginning to his handicap career when runner-up at Southwell, while Lady Bouquet has picked up minor money twice at Musselburgh and could do so again.
AMROON ran well on his first go in a nursery last week and can open his account if building on that. Dadas Boy and Lady Bouquet are feared.
Amroon is high on the list but PINPOINT is taken to defy top weight back at 5f.

1st (7) (18/5 +45%) Sacred Falls |
18/5(+45%) | (7) Sacred Falls 18/5, 3/1, creditable second of 7 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 8 days ago. Should be thereabouts again provided the race doesn't come too soon. Runner-up on her last four runs and might not be entirely straightforward. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (4/1 +11%) Mereside Diva |
4/1(+11%) | (5) Mereside Diva 4/1, Latest win at Nottingham in May. Respectable sixth of 13 in handicap (18/1) at Redcar (6f, good) 14 days ago, nearest finish. Not discounted. May have needed after a break two weeks ago and she's fine on soft. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (12/1 -60%) Impressor |
12/1(-60%) | (3) Impressor 12/1, C&D winner. 4 wins from 12 runs this year. Latest win at Hamilton in August. Second of 4 in handicap (6/5) at Hamilton (5f, good to soft) 50 days ago. Merits plenty of respect. 4lb above last winning mark but has plenty in his favour otherwise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (6/1 +50%) Judgment Call |
6/1(+50%) | (1) Judgment Call 6/1, Course winner. Latest win at Musselburgh in August. Last of 9 in handicap at this course (8f, good, 12/1) 10 days ago. Down in trip. Others are more persuasive. Two-time course winner but over shorter and this is a belated first run over 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (2/1 +9%) Cold Stare |
2/1(+9%) | (2) Cold Stare 2/1, Won 12-runner handicap at this course (7.2f, good, 4/1) 10 days ago. Good shout again. Went close in the Bronze Cup over C&D before snapping his losing run over 7f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (11/2 +31%) Black Friday |
11/2(+31%) | (6) Black Friday 11/2, 3-time C&D winner. Latest win here in August. Good third of 12 in handicap (8/1) at this course (8f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Back down in trip. Deserves respect. Ran well over 1m last time but better known for his form over shorter. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The three-year-olds Sacred Falls and Mereside Diva command respect given they're probably not done improving yet, while Impressor arrives in excellent nick and Cold Stare wasn't winning out of turn here over 7f last time. He had Jordan Electrics (third) behind when finishing a close-up second in the Bronze Cup, but this could be all about BLACK FRIDAY. He is versatile in regards to trip and has won four times at this track, three of which have come over this trip.
COLD STARE has been in good order for a while and has only gone up 2 lb for his recent success over 7f here, so he's worth a chance to go in again. Most of the others can have a case made for them but Jordan Electrics appeals as the chief threat.
David O'Meara's COLD STARE deserved his return to winning ways last time over 7f. He has good form over C&D.

13/2(+0%) | (3) Feel The Pinch 13/2, Resumed winning ways in 4-runner handicap chase at Ffos Las in May and followed up back hurdling in another small-field affair at Bangor (16.7f, good). Well held in the mud at Cartmel on most recent outing. Bounce back required. 3-7 for this stable but was lucky to collect the latest win; others appeal more. |

2nd (8) (10/1 +50%) Stonific |
10/1(+50%) | (8) Stonific 10/1, Won the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen for David O'Meara in July 2021 but doesn't look anything like the force of old based on his recent hurdle/Flat efforts. Regressive 10yo who was safely held at Market Rasen (a track he likes) on Saturday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (15/2 +6%) Polyphonic |
15/2(+6%) | (6) Polyphonic 15/2, Fairly useful 11f winner on Flat for Karl Burke who got off the mark over hurdles at the second attempt in a Fontwell juvenile in December. Has proven more consistent than progressive since but has made an interesting stable switch. Won for Milton Harris on Boxing Day; joined burgeoning new stable during the summer. |

4th (2) (33/1 -500%) Elham Valley |
33/1(-500%) | (2) Elham Valley 33/1, Retuned to form with blinkers refitted when running away with a 8-runner selling handicap hurdle at Stratford (18.7f, good) 24 days ago. Has left Fergal O'Brien and is 4 lb higher in a stronger race. Bought after winning a selling handicap last month; faces tougher assignment today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (4) (10/11 +52%) Sergeant Wilson |
10/11(+52%) | (4) Sergeant Wilson 10/11, Got back on track in first-time hood when landing 2m novice hurdle at Fakenham in February. Shaped like the best horse at the weights (did too much too soon) when collared on line in 2m Doncaster handicap prior to being pulled up at Sandown on final outing. Worth another chance on return. Pulled up in hot race at Sandown in April but has good claims if judged on earlier form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (33/1 -230%) Socialist Agenda |
33/1(-230%) | (5) Socialist Agenda 33/1, Fair handicap hurdler who posted a good effort when second of 5 in a Musselburgh handicap in December. Below form since and achieved only modest form at best in 5 Flat starts this summer. Enough to prove back over hurdles. Useful form in early 2022 but has become disappointing; needs to turn a corner. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (7/2 +75%) Byzantine Empire |
7/2(+75%) | (1) Byzantine Empire 7/2, Landed pair of small field handicap chase events (at around 2m) in 2022. Progress stalled in that sphere thereafter and not at his best back over hurdles/on Flat recently. 7-lb conditional takes over in the saddle. Dropped 2lb since respectable sixth in Summer Hurdle; likes this track; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (66/1 -1000%) Ithaka |
66/1(-1000%) | (7) Ithaka 66/1, Justified support dropped in grade when landing Wincanton handicap in March. Never looked like following up off the same mark on chasing debut there a week later but makes his seasonal return back over hurdles with his yard very much amongst the winners. Watch betting. Improved to win at Wincanton (2m5f) in March; safely held on chase debut a few days later. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
ELHAM VALLEY had plenty in hand when winning a selling handicap at Stratford last month and could well be up making a winning start for the John Cornwall yard. In truth, this doesn't appear to be a much tougher assignment for the six-year-old and there is a lot to like about his chances here. Feel The Pinch is respected off the same mark as when he won at Bangor in June, while Sergeant Wilson and Polyphonic are also shortlist material.
SERGEANT WILSON is undoubtedly a quirky customer, but he looked the likely winner for much of the race only to be reeled in on the line in a Doncaster handicap in March and makes plenty of appeal on his return with his yard amongst the winners. Polyphonic is a consistent sort who could take his form up to a new level having joined the upwardly-mobile stable of James Owen, with Ithaka another to keep a close eye on in the betting.
The most interesting runner is POLYPHONIC, who is on a workable mark and has joined a burgeoning new stable.

8/1(+43%) | (7) River Robe 8/1, Poor hurdler. Creditable fourth of 8 in bumper at Ballinrobe (16f, good to soft, 10/3) 18 days ago. Not discounted. Beaten in five bumpers and couldn't call her progressive; steered clear of soft ground. |

1.62/1(-8%) | (4) Sattam 1.62/1, Twice-raced maiden. 9/4, second of 7 in bumper at Leopardstown (16f, good), no match for winner. Off 7 months. Solid claims if tuned up. Off since March but he's a major player on the strength of his Leopardstown run. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
DEE CAPO has been strong in the market on both outings and showed plenty of promise when sixth in a valuable sales bumper at the Fairyhouse Easter meeting. Gordon Elliott's charge was a disappointing fifth at Navan after a five month layoff but should be sharper for the outing and deserves another chance. Sea The Stars gelding Sattam made the running when second to an Elliott-trained newcomer at Leopardstown in March and the winner landed a Listed bumper at Limerick on his next outing. Threesheetstothwind was beaten a long way when fifth at Bellewstown and needs to leave that debut effort a long way behind. It's interesting to see Patrick Mullins on board Jeu Du Pic who cost 100,000 Euros at the Derby Sale and is from a useful French family.
JEU DE PIC is out of a French bumper winner and is the subject of a notable jockey booking, so he might be able to open his account at the first attempt. Sattam and Dee Capo have both achieved a fair level of form, so they should also be on the premises.
A weak bumper. DEE CAPO and Sattam bring the strongest form and the Elliott contender has the benefit of a recent run.

Officially the highest rated of these, DELLA has an obvious chance on these terms and is fancied to make a winning return to this circuit. Unraced as a juvenile, Andrew Balding's filly has improved with each run since she was belatedly introduced in a novice here in March, and the booking of Oisin Murphy is a bonus. Make Clear found only an 80-rated rival too good last time and enters calculations, while Candy Eye and Keep It Hush are others to consider.
DELLA is the clear form pick and the one to beat. Make Clear is next best on form, ahead of Candy Eye.
Della won't be found many better openings than this, but CANDY EYE has shown promise in her two starts and could progress further.

Not a forlorn hope back in this sphere off a basement mark. Won her final start, a 3m soft-ground handicap hurdle at Perth; opposable on Flat. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Michael's Pledge has been threatening to score and it would be no surprise to see him finally get off the mark here, but he may have to play second fiddle again, this time to AIGHEAR. Despite some good efforts in defeat this summer, Jim Goldie's mare returns off a 1lb lower mark than when she won this race 12 months ago and she should relish the step back up in trip. Cantalupo Bella separated a couple of subsequent winners when second over 2m at Newbury last time and is another to note.
MICHAEL'S PLEDGE has been in good order for a while and can open his account. Cantalupo Bella and Clansman also arrive on the back of solid efforts and should be on the premises.
The only obvious negative for CANTALUPO BELLA is an absence of two months. She was clear of the rest behind an improver last time.

1st (4) (7/2 +36%) Haveyougotmymoney |
7/2(+36%) | (4) Haveyougotmymoney 7/2, Encouraging return from a break recently, again second at Hexham last time. Looks capable of defying this mark and is worth a chance to go one better. Placed in three of four handicaps this year and still unexposed over this sort of trip. |

2nd (8) (10/3 +79%) Fantomas |
10/3(+79%) | (8) Fantomas 10/3, Fortunate to score over fences at Uttoxeter (3m) in September and hasn't really threatened back over hurdles since his next outing, acknowledging his latest fourth at Worcester was a respectable effort. Back from a break with stable in excellent form. Didn't run badly on latest outing but has not been firing on all cylinders this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (11/2 -38%) Barely Famous |
11/2(-38%) | (9) Barely Famous 11/2, Dual hurdles winner this time last year for this yard but has made a discouraging start to her chasing career this summer. Return to this sphere could spark a revival. Pulled up in a chase on Saturday but now 12lb below her latest winning hurdle mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (7/2 +0%) Catuaba |
7/2(+0%) | (3) Catuaba 7/2, Won at Warwick in May. Fell in handicap hurdle (11/10) at Huntingdon (25f, good) 127 days ago, going off too hard. Remains with plenty of potential. Held when falling in May but improved to win on handicap debut earlier that month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (17/2 -70%) Blazing Court |
17/2(-70%) | (1) Blazing Court 17/2, 16/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, second of 11 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f, good to soft) 76 days ago. Up in trip. Others more persuasive. Good second when upped to 2m4f for handicap debut in July; up in trip again here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (40/1 +39%) Betty's Belle |
40/1(+39%) | (6) Betty's Belle 40/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2021. First run since leaving Ben Pauling when eighth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Worcester (23f, good to soft, 33/1) 30 days ago. Others make more appeal. Second twice for Ban Pauling this season but struggled on last month's stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (6/1 +14%) Let It Shine |
6/1(+14%) | (5) Let It Shine 6/1, Modest form in a trio of starts over hurdles last season, but more promising signs lately and longer trip should suit. 0-6 over hurdles but made the frame on last two outings; tries a new trip today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (20/1 +70%) Moirai |
20/1(+70%) | (11) Moirai 20/1, Has offered little thus far, including both starts in handicaps, so hard to make a compelling case for. Safely held in her first two handicaps (2m7f/2m5f); improvement required. |

|PU| (10) (22/1 -57%) Oneway Express |
22/1(-57%) | (10) Oneway Express 22/1, First form when third of 10 in handicap at Bangor (23f, good) a couple of months ago but failed to back it up at Worcester last time. Creditable third on handicap debut but has since performed poorly; needs to bounce back. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (50/1 -317%) Royal Max |
50/1(-317%) | (2) Royal Max 50/1, In top hands but hasn't achieved any better than modest form in 2 bumpers/over hurdles. Fourth on the Flat 2 months ago and it's still early days for him in this discipline. Third over 2m on handicap debut for Nicky Henderson; hiked up in trip for stable debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (14) (50/1 +24%) Ulysses |
50/1(+24%) | (14) Ulysses 50/1, Unreliable type who comes here out of form. Without a win since 2021 and this year's Flat/hurdle form is very uninspiring. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
HAVEYOUGOTMYMONEY looked to have been revitalised by a wind operation and first-time cheekpieces when a close second over an extended 2m7f at Hexham last month. With the headgear retained, the five-year-old could make amends and go one better here. Royal Max is an interesting contender on his debut for new connections, while others to consider include Blazing Court and Catuaba.
HAVEYOUGOTMYMONEY found only one too good again last time and is worth chancing to go one better for all that this looks quite competitive. The unexposed Catuaba is a big danger if he gets his own way in front and Let It Shine can't be ruled out.
He fell when last seen in May but CATUABA drew nicely clear of the others with a progressive rival when scoring on his handicap debut.

7/2(+78%) | (8) Master Of Combat 7/2, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Ninth of 10 in handicap (25/1) at Ripon (9.8f, good) 35 days ago. Has performed well on each of his 4 previous visits here and needs considering off a reduced mark. In the frame in all four visits here but may need a stiffer test than this now. |

2nd (10) (9/2 +0%) Port Erin |
9/2(+0%) | (10) Port Erin 9/2, Two wins from 5 runs this year, the latest at Ffos Las in August. Respectable third of 11 in handicap (5/2) at Kempton (7f) 15 days ago. Back up in trip and he's in with an each-way shout. Has done well since handicapping and step back up in trip should suit, but drawn widest. |

3rd (9) (28/1 -12%) Outrace |
28/1(-12%) | (9) Outrace 28/1, Latest win at Bath in July. Last of 13 in handicap at Kempton (8f, 14/1) 34 days ago. On a competitive mark but hard to warm to on the back of his latest effort. 2nd in all three starts here; back off last winning mark today but a poor effort last time. |

4th (7) (10/1 +9%) Noodle Mission |
10/1(+9%) | (7) Noodle Mission 10/1, C&D winner. Eighth of 10 in handicap (20/1) at this C&D 26 days ago. Remains 2 lb above last winning mark and will probably find a few too good. Dual C&D winner and not beaten far here last month though only eighth; worth a second look. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (8/1 -45%) Ciotog |
8/1(-45%) | (2) Ciotog 8/1, C&D winner. 9/2, career best when winning 11-runner handicap at Bath (8f, good to firm) 20 days ago. 4 lb rise fair enough and merits respect in his hat-trick bid. C&D winner bidding for a hat-trick after two wins on turf; player if getting a strong pace. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (7/1 +0%) Venetian |
7/1(+0%) | (6) Venetian 7/1, C&D winner. Last of 8 in handicap at Musselburgh (8f, soft, 7/2) 16 days ago. On a good mark judged on form from earlier in the season and dangerous to discount in a first-time visor. 2lb lower than when winning a nursery over C&D last November; visor goes on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (5/1 +0%) Francesi |
5/1(+0%) | (1) Francesi 5/1, Thirteen runs since last win in 2022. Good second of 12 in handicap at Kempton (8f, 14/1) 15 days ago, staying on well. More will be needed if he's to go one better here. Has creditable AW form in better company than this; went close last time; high on list. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (16/1 -33%) Smiling Sunflower |
16/1(-33%) | (4) Smiling Sunflower 16/1, C&D winner. Blinkered for 1st time, seventh of 9 in handicap (20/1) at Chelmsford City (10f) 49 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Now 2 lb below last winning mark but she's not the easiest to catch right. 2lb lower than when winning over C&D in January, but below her best lately. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (15/2 +32%) Princess Niyla |
15/2(+32%) | (5) Princess Niyla 15/2, Winner at Chester in July. Below form seventh of 12 in handicap (11/1) at Haydock (8.2f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Booking of Murphy a plus but improvement needed now tried in cheekpieces. Despite just the six starts, her form already has an uneven look to it; cheekpieces on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (12/1 -167%) Nikki's Girl |
12/1(-167%) | (3) Nikki's Girl 12/1, Career best when winning 8-runner handicap (5/1) at this C&D 60 days ago. 5 lb rise for that decisive success is tolerable and she has to enter calculations. Tidy winner over C&D in August; 5lb higher but still one for the shortlist. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (11) (40/1 -21%) Harbour Vision |
40/1(-21%) | (11) Harbour Vision 40/1, C&D winner. Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. Seventh of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f, 14/1) 14 days ago. Back up in trip and he looks vulnerable for win purposes. Last win came over C&D from 4lb higher but losing run is up to 14; drawn wider than ideal. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
PORT ERIN was beaten in his hat-trick bid over 7f at Kempton last time but that third-placed finish was still encouraging and it would be no surprise to see him score off the same mark here. Nikki's Girl is an obvious threat following her win over C&D last time, while the in-form Ciotog and Francesi are others with valid form claims.
NIKKI'S GIRL ran out the decisive winner of a C&D handicap in August and, if resuming in a similar mood following a two-month break, she will take plenty of stopping. Though his recent form figures do not inspire confidence, Master of Combat is interesting back at this course off a reduced mark. He is just about second choice, with Venetian, who has also edged down to an attractive mark, and the hat-trick seeking Ciotog others to consider.
The vote goes to FRANCESI who has shown creditable form in better races than this on the AW. He looked to be on the way back last time.

10/3(+26%) | (5) He's A Gentleman 10/3, One win from 24 Flat runs. 17/2, creditable third of 13 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 27 days ago. Each-way chance. Only win came on the AW and comes here on the back of some solid efforts in defeat. |

2nd (10) (11/1 +8%) Eagle Day |
11/1(+8%) | (10) Eagle Day 11/1, 11/2, good third of 6 in handicap at Catterick (7f, soft) 21 days ago, but this 6-race maiden needs to find some improvement now upped in trip. Only his second run for this yard when close up at Catterick; could do well on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 +67%) Southwold |
4/1(+67%) | (4) Southwold 4/1, 7/2, creditable fourth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 27 days ago. More needed if he's to regain the winning thread in this contest. Two wins on Tapeta, the handicap off only 2lb lower (1m); unlikely to be far away. |

4/1(+43%) | (6) Paternoster Square 4/1, Bit below form fourth of 8 in maiden at Pontefract (8f, good to soft, 9/1) 12 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time now switched to the AW and couldn't rule out. Has threatened in handicaps and headgear could make a difference. |

5th (7) (18/1 -29%) Midsummer Music |
18/1(-29%) | (7) Midsummer Music 18/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 7/1, third of 5 in handicap at Goodwood (8f, good) 39 days ago. Makes tapeta debut and it's probably best to look elsewhere. Below par at Goodwood last time but still of interest with low mileage on the clock. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (4/1 -20%) Star Player |
4/1(-20%) | (3) Star Player 4/1, Fifth of 8 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm, 5/2) 38 days ago. Makes tapeta debut and interesting off a mark 4 lb below that off which he was a good second at Pontefract in June. Beaten favourite on his last three starts and some hanging didn't help last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (50/1 -257%) Reputation |
50/1(-257%) | (2) Reputation 50/1, 9/1, ninth of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to soft) 24 days ago, possibly amiss. Up in trip and this veteran would be a threat if able to get back on track now 2 lb below his last winning mark. Quiet since returning from an absence and having only his fourth start on the AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (12/1 -50%) Bravura |
12/1(-50%) | (8) Bravura 12/1, Ninth of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 13/2) 31 days ago and he's opposable once more. Hasn't found the expected improvement since sent down the handicap route. |

9th (9) (16/1 +0%) Mykonos St John |
16/1(+0%) | (9) Mykonos St John 16/1, C&D winner. Twenty runs since last win in 2022. 14/1, very good fifth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 5 days ago. Chance if rediscovering old form. Last year ended disappointingly and he's not really got going this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (14/1 -17%) Cliffcake |
14/1(-17%) | (1) Cliffcake 14/1, Eight wins from 30 Flat runs. Latest win at Beverley in May. Fifth of 7 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, heavy, 9/2) 7 days ago. Others more persuasive. Didn't run much of a race only last week on his return from two months off. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
HE'S A GENTLEMAN has been running well in defeat of late and the four-year-old will not find many better opportunities than this to earn a second career victory. Southwold was a place behind the selection last time and he should not be underestimated in a race of this nature. The consistent Paternoster Square has become frustrating but he is likely to be in the mix once again.
It may pay to keep the faith with STAR PLAYER, who hasn't really progressed this season but he's now on a good mark, judged both on his 2-y-o exploits and his solid effort at Pontefract during the summer. This will be just his second run on the all-weather. Paternoster Square clearly has his limitations but there's certainly ability there and it could be that the first-time blinkers here will help him channel it more effectively. If so, he could emerge as the main threat ahead of Reputation.
An open handicap. PATERNOSTER SQUARE is worth chancing in the hope that blinkers can focus his mind.

1st (12) (4/1 +20%) Chalk Mountain |
4/1(+20%) | (12) Chalk Mountain 4/1, C&D winner. 14/1, good second of 11 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 15 days ago. Reproduction of that would give him an each-way chance. C&D winner; recorded personal best RPR when a close second at Kempton latest; considered. |

2nd (1) (9/2 +25%) Surprise Picture |
9/2(+25%) | (1) Surprise Picture 9/2, Three wins from 10 runs this year. Won 12-runner handicap at this C&D (5/1) 8 days ago, having run of race. More will be needednif he's to go in again under a penalty. Made all over C&D last week; penalised and has a tricky draw to contend with. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (9) (13/2 +59%) Dakota Power |
13/2(+59%) | (9) Dakota Power 13/2, Course winner. Tenth of 13 in handicap at Kempton (7f, 15/2) 24 days ago, going off too hard. Others more persuasive on balance. Course winner as a 2yo; promise this year until a poor run at Kempton last month. |

4th (4) (7/2 +13%) Flatley |
7/2(+13%) | (4) Flatley 7/2, C&D winner. Creditable 3¼ lengths fourth of 12 to Surprise Picture in handicap (9/4) at this C&D 8 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Looks competitive on form. Ran quite well behind Surprise Picture here last week (backed); handicapped to go well. |

5th (11) (20/1 +0%) Powdering |
20/1(+0%) | (11) Powdering 20/1, Winner at Hamilton in June. 18/1 and blinkered for 1st time, below form sixth of 11 in handicap at Thirsk (8f, soft) 15 days ago. Looks vulnerable. Inconsistent but on a fair mark and ran well over C&D in August; not discounted. |

6th (10) (9/1 +36%) Destined |
9/1(+36%) | (10) Destined 9/1, Winner at Redcar in May. 8/1, eleventh of 13 in handicap at Ayr (8f, good to soft) 11 days ago, unsuited by step up in trip. Something to find on form. On the up prior to her non-staying effort over 1m on turf last time; promise on Tapeta. |

7th (3) (33/1 -230%) The Cruising Lord |
33/1(-230%) | (3) The Cruising Lord 33/1, Latest win at Newbury in July. Third of 5 in handicap at Ffos Las (6f, good to soft, 5/4) 19 days ago. Just 1 lb above last winning mark and he has to enter calculations. On a handy mark and conditions should be fine; off the boil in recent starts though. |

17/2(+0%) | (7) Fools And Horses 17/2, Respectable fourth of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Haydock (7f, good to firm) 25 days ago. Down 1 lb and he's worthy of consideration. 0-7 but she's run well in 7f turf handicaps the last twice; could yet fare better. |

100/1(-203%) | (6) Dynamite Katie 100/1, Last of 7 in handicap (66/1) at Lingfield (5f, firm) 83 days ago. Significantly back up in trip for this tapeta debut and hood on 1st time. Has work to do. Not fired for this yard yet but the new hood and return to AW could spark a revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (5/1 +29%) Gannon Glory |
5/1(+29%) | (2) Gannon Glory 5/1, Course winner. Latest win here in August. Blinkered for 1st time, respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at this course (6.1f, 13/2) 10 days ago. One to consider now upped in trip. Two good course runs for current stable but stamina for 7f has to be taken on trust. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (80/1 -300%) Due Date |
80/1(-300%) | (8) Due Date 80/1, Cheekpieces on for 1st time, eighth of 11 in handicap (12/1) at Newbury (6f, good to firm). Off 98 days ahead of this debut for new yard and he needs to bounce back. Promise on AW for Clive Cox; stamina for 7f not proven and absent since June. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
SURPRISE PICTURE had plenty in hand when scoring over C&D eight days ago and he merits the utmost respect once again, despite carrying a 5lb penalty. Chalk Mountain was only beaten a neck when second at Kempton last time and is an obvious threat to the selection. Fools And Horses edges out Gannon Glory and The Cruising Lord to be the pick of the remainder.
GANNON GLORY landed a claimer over 6f here in August and, not for the first time, shaped as though this trip is worth exploring when staying on into fourth in a handicap back here (again at 6f) 10 days ago. He gets the nod ahead of Fools And Horses, who arrives here on the back of a couple of decent efforts on turf and she surely has a race in her off this sort of mark. Flatley is also considered and an on-song The Cruising Lord would be a threat, too.
Chalk Mountain can go well but DESTINED may be the answer now back down in trip.

5/1(-150%) | (4) El Tesoro 5/1, First run since leaving Donnacha Aidan O'Brien when sixth of 14 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f, 13/2) 27 days ago. Entitled to come on for that run, which was his first outing for 3 months, and the assessor has given him a chance. 4/1(+11%) | (11) Speed Dial Baileys 4/1, C&D winner in July. Good second of 7 in handicap back here (5/1) 32 days ago and, though up 3 lb for that near miss, she is likely to be in the thick of things once again. Her two best runs have come over C&D and she's not yet fully exposed; interesting. |

5th (5) (18/1 -50%) Texas Man |
18/1(-50%) | (5) Texas Man 18/1, Latest win at Musselburgh in July. Fourth of 6 in handicap (4/1) at Catterick (5f, soft) 21 days ago. No impact both previous starts on the AW and he's probably worth taking on. Popped up on turf in July but less good twice since; returns to AW with something to prove. |

6th (8) (14/1 -17%) Birkenhead |
14/1(-17%) | (8) Birkenhead 14/1, Eleventh of 14 in handicap (4/1) at Redcar (5f, good) 14 days ago. Went close over this C&D and at Southwell prior to that, and he will be a threat if reproducing form akin to those efforts. Below par on turf latest but in good order on AW previously; tricky draw to overcome. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (6/1 +20%) Newyorkstateofmind |
6/1(+20%) | (6) Newyorkstateofmind 6/1, C&D winner. Eighth of 9 in handicap (9/2) at this course (6.1f) 10 days ago. Dropped to a handy mark but he's not the easiest to win with. Multiple winner but he'll need to step up on last week's modest eighth here (6f). |

8th (9) (20/1 -25%) Man On A Mission |
20/1(-25%) | (9) Man On A Mission 20/1, C&D winner. 28/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at Newmarket (5f, good) 66 days ago. Merits consideration back on the AW (5-22 on synthetics). Quiet on turf the last twice but returning to AW a plus and he's on a dangerous mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (2) (8/1 +0%) Murbih |
8/1(+0%) | (2) Murbih 8/1, C&D winner. Respectable third of 6 in handicap (4/1) at Catterick (5f, soft) 21 days ago. His turn is surely near and, even if this isn't the day he gets his head back in front, a bold show is anticipated. Conditions fine and he comes here in good form; widest draw might scupper him though. |

10th (3) (40/1 -122%) All In The Hips |
40/1(-122%) | (3) All In The Hips 40/1, Course winner. 3 wins from 14 runs this year. 11/1, fifth of 7 in handicap at this C&D 31 days ago. Now tried in a visor and will need to improve for the fitting of the new headgear if she's to emerge on top. Three wins this year; not at best the last twice but the new visor could give her a lift. |

11th (1) (10/3 +76%) Aira Force |
10/3(+76%) | (1) Aira Force 10/3, 20/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable seventh of 12 in handicap at this course (6.1f) 26 days ago. Needs to raise her game a touch. Promise in this headgear (6f) here last time; down in class; one to take seriously. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
SPEED DIAL BAILEYS was a narrow second over C&D last time and a 3lb rise for that display may not be enough to prevent her from going one better. The main danger is All In The Hips, who wasn't disgraced when fifth here last month and she could improve for the application of a first-time visor, while Murbih is also of interest on his current mark.
The one who appeals most is EL TESORO, who shaped better than the bare result when returning from a break on debut for new connections at Southwell last month. He should be sharper now, plus he's been eased 3 lb and dropping back to the minimum trip looks a good move. Man On A Mission hasn't made much of an impact on turf the last twice but he boasts a solid all-weather record and is feared, along with Murbih, who has been knocking on the door of late. Birkenhead could also have a part to play.
Man On A Mission can fare better back on AW but the unexposed SPEED DIAL BAILEYS (nap) can furher enhance her C&D record.

33/1(-106%) | (10) Yaahobby 33/1, C&D winner. Latest win here in July. 12/1, eighth of 9 in handicap at this course (5.1f) 24 days ago. Can give a good account if shrugging off latest effort. All three wins have come here; well beaten the last twice but this should be run to suit. |

9/2(+0%) | (12) Jack Of Clubs 9/2, C&D winner. Winner here in August. Respectable third of 7 in handicap (11/2) at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 8 days ago. Enters calculations. C&D winner in August; fair third on turf last week; one to take seriously. |

11th (8) (28/1 -27%) Revisit |
28/1(-27%) | (8) Revisit 28/1, 100/1, twelfth of 13 in handicap at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) 39 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Richard Hannon. Visor on 1st time too. Handicapper on top in 2023; reduced mark for stable debut; visor needs to give her a lift. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
CHAMBER CHOIR was always doing enough when victorious at Chelmsford last time, which made it two win from her last three starts. The daughter of Ardad could continue her upward curve to go in once again off a 4lb higher rating. Warminster wasn't beaten far into fourth at Salisbury last month and could have a say in a first-time visor. Of the remainder, My Delilah makes the most appeal.
MY DELILAH bounced back to form when third at Bath last time and can capitalise on a reduced mark to gain her second win of 2023. Chamber Choir rates a big threat on the back of her recent Chelmsford City success, with course-scorers Jack of Clubs and Unlimited Data in the mix for place purposes.
The progressive Chamber Choir can go well but JACK OF CLUBS has refound some sparkle of late and can gain a second C&D success.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (3) (15/2 +17%) El Royale |
15/2(+17%) | (3) El Royale 15/2, Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. Creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 6/1) 12 days ago. Can make presence felt. Yet to win but he's been in good form since blinkers went on; each-way claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
MYSTERIOUS MAESTRO is off the same mark as his third over an extended 1m1f here last month and the three-year-old could be ready to shed his maiden tag. The main danger is El Royale, who has put in some solid efforts recently and can be competitive off this mark, while Polar Rock warrants a market check on her handicap bow under Luke Morris.
MYSTERIOUS MAESTRO came home a very good third to Chinese Whisperer here last week and can turn the table on 5 lb better terms this time. Harriet Bethell's 6-y-o still rates the chief threat, although course-winner He's Our Star and in-form maiden El Royale also need factoring into this open handicap.
Ths is the racecard key.
