13:20 Perth Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having supplemented her bumper victory at Uttoxeter when making a winning hurdles bow over 2m at this venue, the hat-trick seeking Cabra Lady warrants respect racing over 2m4f. However, BISHOP HILL receives 7lb from the daughter of Getaway and she may have her measure. Lucinda Russell's mare appeared to be travelling sweetly when falling at the third-last hurdle in a handicap over C&D last month and compensation could be on the cards reverting to novice company. Scarlet O'Tara can chase that pair home.

CABRA LADY supplemented her bumper win on hurdles debut here last month despite looking in need of the experience. With that in mind, she's taken to find the necessary improvement required to defy a penalty at the main expense of Scarlet O'Tara and Bishop Hill.

The 6yo SCARLET O'TARA pushed a good mare close at Worcester and that entitles her to the vote.

13:35 Newmarket Maiden (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Seacruiser was sent off favourite on his debut when finishing fifth at Goodwood earlier in the month and that experience is unlikely to be lost on Ralph Beckett's colt. That being said, he faces some very interesting newcomers on paper with NAVAL COMMAND appealing most. A half-brother to St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov, who also made a winning start to his career, it seems noteworthy that he already boasts a Group 1 entry in the Futurity. Devil's Advocate and Kingmaker are others likely to go well.

A field mostly made up of newcomers and the betting will likely prove a good guide. NAVAL COMMAND ticks plenty of boxes on paper and is seemingly the choice of Buick, so earns the vote before market clues. Present Times and Devil's Advocate are two other blue bloods to keep a close eye on, while Seacruiser showed promise on his Goodwood debut and can put that experience to good use.

Holding the Group 1 entry in a month's time and looking the stable first string today, NAVAL COMMAND appears the most likely winner.

(5) Autumn Return 9/2, Irish point/bumper winner who quickly developed into a most likeable hurdler, recording a fourth win in that sphere back against her own sex at Musselburgh (19.8f) last November. Rare below par effort at that venue on final outing and appeals as the type to make at least as good a chaser.

It was a very ordinary handicap by Class 2 standards that he won at Worcester.

13:52 Perth Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The progressive DRIPSEY MOON has clearly relished chasing judged on his recent double over C&D and a 2lb nudge up the ratings for his latest victory here looks more than workable. The seven-year-old is taken to complete the hat-trick at the main expense of penalised Worcester winner Watergrange Jack. Neil Mulholland has his string in good order at present and a 7lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Point-to-point winner Whistle Stop Tour is also interesting on his chasing bow.

DRIPSEY MOON has taken extremely well to chasing and a 2 lb rise for his latest his win may not be enough to prevent the hat-trick, especially with fitness on his side. The Lucinda Russell-trained pair Cadell and Whistle Stop Tour both strike as the types to make better chasers and warrant close market scrutiny.

Dripsey Moon is hard to knock but CADELL is well-in with the topweight on a previous clash over hurdles.

14:00 Pontefract Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Everything points to a big run from ALAFDHAL, a comfortable C&D winner in April who arguably produced his best effort since when runner-up over 6f at Wolverhampton last Saturday. With similar aggressive tactics likely to be opted coming from a handy inside draw, he looks sure to go close on his return to 5f. Opal Storm could land a blow providing she doesn't get herself too far back early on, while Papa Don't Preach also holds claims.

ALAFDHAL has been given a chance by the handicapper and posted his best effort for some time at Wolverhampton last week. He can return to winning ways. Mrs Trump and Opal Storm can also make their presence felt.

His two visits here this season yielded good performances and he shouldn't mind what the ground does, so VARIETY ISLAND gets the vote.

14:10 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CELEBORN looked a useful prospect when scoring on his first start at Leicester before getting withdrawn ahead of his intended second career outing at Doncaster due to being upset in the stalls. Gelded after that, he shaped well on his only outing since when third at Salisbury and an opening mark of 80 may well underestimate his true ability. Olympus Point has run with credit on all three starts to date and is expected to be in the mix, while Chepstow maiden winner Louie The Legend completes the shortlist.

CELEBORN acquitted himself well on slow ground at Salisbury earlier this month and remains with potential. He gets the nod here. Olympus Point and Louie The Legend are feared most.

The top three may bring the most potential, in which case it would be best to concentrate on them, and CELEBORN gets the vote.

14:20 Listowel Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Downpatrick bumper winner SANSRISK can register a first success over hurdles. The Philip Dempsey-trained mare ran well on two previous starts over flights, particularly in a stronger contest at Leopardstown over Christmas. This looks a nice opportunity for the daughter of No Risk At All to open her account in this discipline. Runner-up on her first three runs over hurdles, Born In Purple looked booked for a similar position when falling at Down Royal last month. The former French Flat winner needs to brush up her jumping but would be a serious threat if doing so. Mexican Moonshine, who finished second on her racecourse debut at Ballinrobe earlier this month, is entitled to be sharper for that initial outing.

MEXICAN MOONSHINE made a promising debut when runner-up at Ballinrobe a fortnight ago and with the prospect of more to come for her top yard, she can improve beyond the standard set by Born In Purple and Sansrisk.

This looks like a reasonable opportunity for SANSRISK, a bumper winner who obtained useful hurdling experience last season

14:27 Perth Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CHAPEL GREEN relished the step up in distance when landing the spoils at Kelso in May and there should be more to come this season. Although the handicapper has reacted with an 8lb rise for the Dylan Thomas gelding, he looks capable of following up. The Peter & Michael Bowen-trained runners always warrant respect given their fine strike-rate at this venue and their representative Peejaybee shouldn't be underestimated dropping in distance. Mr Mackay and Give Me A Moment aren't easily dismissed either.

MR MACKAY shaped well when a debut chasing third at Bangor and looks the way to go with improvement very much on the cards. Kelso-scorer Chapel Green appeals as the main threat to Nigel Twiston-Davies' 5-y-o ahead of Peejaybee and Give Me A Moment.

The return to Perth is a positive for CARDAMON HILLS and he earns the vote ahead of the 5yo Mr Mackay.

14:35 Pontefract Maiden (Class 5) 6f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DARK ROSA looks to have a solid chance representing last year's winning trainer. The Dark Angel filly has improved in each of her three starts to date, finding only the exciting Bob Mali too good at Chester last time, and another step forward could see her get off the mark. Mwafaq is a half-brother to multiple winners, including Group 2 scorer Raven's Lady, and it would come as no surprise to see him mount a bold bid on debut, while Panenka and Rock Diva are others to note.

DARK ROSA ran her best race to date under a positive ride when runner-up at Chester 13 days ago, just paying the price late on under testing conditions. Likely capable of better again, she shades the vote ahead of Rock Diva who looks sure to have derived plenty from her promising debut third at Wolverhampton. Berning Hot and Ann Terry can also get in the mix.

Steadily improving DARK ROSA looks the strongest option. Berning Hot, Rock Diva and Mwafaq complete the shortlist.

14:45 Newmarket Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

FUNNY STORY has been mostly consistent this season barring a rare blip at York in July. On the evidence of form shown in Listed company at Chester and here on the July Course last month behind Quinault, the four-year-old could take full advantage dropping back into handicap company. Dance And Romance is capable of better making just her sixth career start and she is likely to go well along with Pinafore, who is tried in a visor for the first time.

EXECUTIVE DECISION has shaped well when making the frame on her last 2 starts, having to make her ground away from the principals at Ascot on her latest outing, so she could be ready to strike from 3 lb below her last winning mark. Funny Story isn't taken lightly as she makes her first handicap start of the season, with Dance And Romance also considered.

The forecast rain will be no hindrance to FUNNY STORY and she can defy top weight at the expense of Sophia's Starlight.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Although he has a long absence to overcome, the Henry De Bromhead-trained DOWNMEXICOWAY might be worth chancing. A point-to-point winner at Belharbour in February 2023, the gelding shaped with promise on his racecourse debut at Punchestown two months later. While he is entitled to come on considerably from this race, De Bromhead is well capable of having one ready after a layoff. De Temps En Temps, runner-up on his only point-to-point start, is of obvious interest on his debut for Gavin Cromwell. With the stable firing on all cylinders at the moment, the son of Court Cave looks sure to be competitive. Locally trained Herbies Rover has shown enough on two starts to date to suggest he can also be involved.

There should be more to come from A TIPP FOR GOLD and he is taken to open his account. Downmexicoway and Half Montlioux may provide the chief threat.

Padraig Roche's SPREAD YOUR WINGS is from a smart family and the filly had a troubled passage when unseating her rider on debut

15:02 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

City Derby has been in excellent form during the summer months, winning four on the bounce at Cartmel with the latest of those arguably a career-best performance. However, a further 8lb rise might be enough to stop his progression and the vote goes to IDEM. The six-year-old won at Kelso when last seen in May and appears capable of further improvement on his seventh outing over timber. La Renommee displayed some useful form against her own sex over fences last term and she has to be a threat now rated 7lb lower in this sphere.

An open handicap but Irish challenger BUILDING BRIDGES shaped well when sixth in a big-field handicap at Galway last time and he gets the vote off the same mark here. City Derby rates the obvious threat in his bid for a five-timer, with Caius Marcius and Idem also well in the mix.

Irish raider BUILDING BRIDGES (nap) moved well for a long way when sixth at the Galway festival and that was a deep race.

15:10 Pontefract Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MR MONACO has yet to run a bad race in five starts so far this year and built on his comfortable Sandown victory when a close-up fourth in a class 2 handicap over 1m4f at York last time. Down in both class and trip, he could prove a tough nut to crack. Having said that, Overture is a typical Sir Mark Prescott improver and she won't give up on the five-timer without a fight, while past C&D scorer Lightening Company cannot be ruled out either.

Sir Mark Prescott's OVERTURE ratteld off a four-timer at Yarmouth last week but still looks ahead of her mark under a 6 lb penalty and gets a confident vote. Lightening Company returns to this sphere on a handy-looking mark so could emerge as the main danger ahead of in-form duo Mr Monaco and Loyal Touch.

It might be worth taking on the progressive Overture with LOYAL TOUCH, who is back on a good mark and showed better signs last time.

15:20 Newmarket Group 3 (Class 1) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Having overcome a slow start when maintaining his unbeaten record over 6f at Ascot earlier this month, Diego Ventura looks likely to improve for going up to 7f. The Mehmas colt shouldn't be underestimated, but MONUMENTAL is likely to prove difficult to beat. The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt arrives on the back of a close-up second in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster and a similar performance may prove sufficient. Symbol Of Honour also has the form to feature.

MONUMENTAL has improved a chunk with each of his four runs to date so rates a confident choice to go one better than his recent fine second in Doncaster's Champagne Stakes. Charlie Appleby's consistent Symbol of Honour appeals as the one to chase home Aidan O'Brien's son of Kingman ahead of The Waco Kid and Huscal.

Top rated MONUMENTAL gets the vote but Symbol Of Honour and The Waco Kid are certainly feared with further progress plausible.

15:30 Listowel Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

If able to replicate his runner-up effort in the Boodles at Cheltenham, EAGLES REIGN will be hard to beat here. A moderate handicapper on the Flat, the Ross O'Sullivan-trained gelding improved markedly when switched to hurdles last winter. Although disappointing at Aintree on his final start of the campaign, he had been a consistent performer prior to that below par run. A recent return on the level at Navan should have left him spot on for this assignment. Bright Legend was behind the selection at the Cheltenham Festival but looks nicely treated off his hurdles mark. He, too, should be all the sharper following a recent outing at Galway. Pinot Gris is also of interest in first-time cheekpieces. The grey finished a close up second on the Flat here last year.

PINOT GRIS looks to have got in lightly for his handicap debut so is fancied to hit the right note back in this sphere. Oh So Charming could emerge as the main danger to Gavin Cromwell's progressive sort ahead of in-form pair Pigeon House and Rauzan.

RAUZAN still looks fairly treated off his new mark. Highly progressive, he can rattle off the five-timer in the hands of Hugh Morgan

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CALL BLUE has finished second on both outings so far this season and Nigel Twiston-Davies' mare appears to have been found the ideal opportunity to get her head in front for the first time. Heart Above is expected to appreciate the drop back to 2m and can play a leading role in proceedings. Winds Of Winter ran well on her first start for Iain Jardine when runner-up over 2m4f here and the six-year-old appeals most of the remainder.

CALL BLUE remains a maiden yet she may of bucked that trend but for some late errors when runner-up at Newton Abbot 17 days ago and this could be the day she puts it all together and comes out on top. Purple Gown could yet have more to offer in this sphere and she's a danger. Winds of Winter and Heart Above complete the dangers.

Although back in distance today, WINDS OF WINTER ran a nice first race for her new yard here recently and Brian Hughes rides again.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HOT DANCER only found a potentially smart rival too good in a similar event over a mile at Thirsk last month and, with further improvement likely, the son of Too Darn Hot may prove tough to stop on his third career start. Of the newcomers, Family Knight, a gelded son of first-season sire Mohaather, is respected most before market clues are known. Kirkdale also warrants respect following his Musselburgh second.

Preference is for HOT DANCER, who has acquitted himself well in both outings to date and remains with potential. Kirkdale is also a likely improver and rates the principal danger, with Family Knight the interesting newcomer.

There's little to separate HOT DANCER and Kirkdale on RPRs but they are preferred in that order.

15:55 Newmarket Listed (Class 1) 16f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Boasting a rating of 114, AL NAYYIR boasts leading claims on the back of his narrow second in the Group 2 Lonsdale Cup at York last month. Tom Clover's charge makes plenty of appeal dropping into Listed company and he can get the better of Night Sparkle. The daughter of Postponed finished four lengths behind the selection on the Knavesmire and a subsequent runner-up effort in the Group 2 Park Hill at Doncaster shows that she is still in good heart. Harbour Wind should make his presence felt as well.

AL NAYYIR was just about better than ever when making Vauban pull out all of the stops in the Group 2 Lonsdale Cup on last month's stable debut and a reproduction of that form will see him very hard to beat in listed company. Harbour Wind must concede weight all round but he's a likable type with an excellent strike rate, while Fighter is the unknown quantity in the race.

The level of achievement shown by AL NAYYIR (nap) in the Lonsdale at York last month is a shining recommendation at this lower level.

16:05 Listowel Handicap Hurdle 16f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Eric McNamara, who loves to line one up for this relatively local track, has two strong chances in the shape of Say It So and IFITWASME. The latter, who opened his account on the Flat at Tipperary in July, arguably has the more scope for improvement. Having had just the three starts over hurdles, the four-year-old could be nicely handicapped off a mark of 95. Say It So is bidding to follow up having registered a first success over flights at Cork last month. Although now 6lb higher, the Raven's Pass gelding looks one of the more likely winners. Ah Remy Martin has shaped well enough in his short career to date to suggest that he is another capable of getting involved at the business end of this race.

AH REMY MARTIN ran well and was arguably unlucky not to win having been badly hampered at the last when third at Down Royal 4 weeks ago. Lining up here easily one of the least exposed, he looks to hold sound claims of playing a lead role once more. Baltinglass Hill and the returning Poets Cottage head up the dangers along with Say It So. Market support behind both Isitwasme and Ganderstown would also look significant.

There could be better to come from SAY IT SO who won off 6lb lower at Cork and has since underlined his form with a solid Flat run

16:12 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CUSACK PARK has run with credit on both outings over hurdles so far and the five-year-old is expected to step forward on his handicap debut with the extra distance likely to aid his cause. Connections also opt for first-time cheekpieces, which further enhances his credentials, with similar comments potentially applying to Reagrove Lord after hitting the frame twice over C&D. Belle Of Annandale and Walk On Quest can fight it out for third.

Preference is for BELLE OF ANNANDALE, who left the impression she was worth another crack at this sort of trip when fourth at Market Rasen last month and has the assistance of Brian Hughes. Walk On Quest is low mileage and could prove dangerous on handicap debut, whilst Reagrove Lord can also make his presence felt.

A chance is taken on the fitness of SIZE FIVE, who has been absent since December 2022 but is bred to appreciate today's longer trip.

16:20 Pontefract Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GHOST STORY left a low-key debut effort well behind when scoring gamely over 1m2f at Nottingham second time up and, after shaping like she was still in good nick when finishing a solid third over this trip at Kempton last time, the daughter of Waldgeist gets the vote to make a winning handicap debut. Molinari caught the eye when finishing a never-nearer second over 1m2f here last week and a bold showing is anticipated stepping back up in trip off an unchanged mark. Recent Goodwood winner Clever Relation is also one for the shortlist.

CLEVER RELATION doubled his tally with a bit to spare in a Goodwood seller last time and he can build on that effort to gain a first handicap success. He is taken to see off the challenge of Turner Girl, who is respected back down to her last winning mark, while Sectarius is one to note as he starts off for Ed Bethell.

This looks an open race, without strong claims, but the vote goes to GHOST STORY ahead of Turner Girl and Something.

16:25 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 5f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having looked an unlucky loser when rearing in the stalls at Wolverhampton on Saturday, compensation could await MIAKODA. The Richard Hannon-trained colt finished a never-nearer second that day and he makes plenty of appeal being 3lb well-in on this occasion. Harswell Dandy appeared to relish a change of surface judged on her winning all-weather debut at the Dunstall Park track earlier this month and she may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of the unexposed Facoulty.

MIAKODA can race off the same mark as when an excellent recent second at Wolverhampton so looks the way to go in this competitive nursery. Jeany May is feared most on the back of her good Musselburgh second, with Harswell Dandy and Facoulty also in the mix.

If he can get away from the stalls okay this time Saturday's Wolverhampton runner-up MIAKODA may prove the answer to a tricky opener.

16:30 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BALTIC appears to go from strength to strength, making it five wins in a row at Newcastle latest, and he can defy a further 4lb rise in the ratings to complete the six-timer. Easy Lingfield maiden scorer Candyman Stan starts handicap life off a workable mark of 80 and he must enter calculations, while Wonder Kid and Fighter Command are others to watch out for.

BALTIC stretched his unbeaten record in handicaps to 5 at Newcastle a couple of months ago and, with his level of ability yet to be ascertained, Harry Charlton's progressive colt is fancied to go in again at the expense of Candyman Stan, who completed a simple task in a Lingfield maiden earlier this month and can kick on now handicapping for his top yard. Fighter Command can edge out Macari for minor honours.

Baltic has been racking up the wins but another chance is given to WONDER KID who was going great guns prior to his latest start.

16:37 Listowel Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GREAT UNIVERSE looks nicely treated off an initial mark of 114. The eight-year-old has some strong form to his name and was just three quarters of a length behind subsequent Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Slade Steel in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival of last year. Third on his first two efforts over flights, the Martin Brassil-trained bay starts off in handicap company now, and it'll be interesting to see how he fares. Looking to exploit a lower mark over hurdles, Killarney victor Dutch Schultz is the pick of the three Gavin Cromwell-trained representatives, while fellow recent winners Big Stage, Pray Tell and Win Some Lose Some all look to have strong claims. After a controversial defeat last month, it'll come as no surprise if Ballywilliam Boy gains compensation, with C&D winner Millstream Lady another for the shortlist in this fiercely competitive affair.

A big field but the eye is drawn to WIN SOME LOSE SOME, who won a Wexford handicap with plenty in hand in July and is one to keep on the right side of. Dutch Schultz is also in good order and has a tempting hurdles mark to exploit so he's second choice, ahead of Pray Tell.

Eric McNamara's MILLSTREAM LADY (nap) was an impressive winner of a C&D handicap hurdle at this festival last year and gets the nod

16:45 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having appreciated the rise in distance when scoring over an extended 3m1f at Cartmel last month, Skyjack Hijack is likely to prove popular in his follow-up bid. A 6lb higher rating is unlikely to prevent the six-year-old from going close again, but WESTERN GLEN edges the vote. Gillian Boanas' mare has posted two creditable efforts over track and trip of late and a reproduction of her latest second here off an unchanged mark may see her get off the mark. Midnight Gold could also have a say up in trip.

Cases can be made for plenty of these, and it could pay to take a chance on the returning MIDNIGHT GOLD, who was well beaten when sent off favourite at Fontwell back in May but appeals as the type to bounce back for her in-form yard. Second choice is Skyjack Highjack, who opened his account at Cartmel last month and continues to go from strength to strength. Western Glen can edge out Nastasiya for third spot.

The mare MIDNIGHT GOLD goes well fresh and kept on well for second over 2m5f at Warwick in May. She is the selection.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TOP JUGGLER has progressed with each start to date and shed the maiden tag on his most recent appearance at Hamilton. Closely related to a Listed winner, he appears open to further improvement and the manner of that victory suggested a track of this nature would suit. Georgecandoit is likely to be in the mix on his return to a sounder surface. Sir Palamedes is another to consider following his breakthrough success at Ffos Las.

UP THE PACE showed a decisive change of pace to open his account at Salisbury 13 days ago and a 5 lb rise may not be enough to prevent the follow up on that evidence. Top Juggler and Sir Palamedes head up the opposition.

Sir Palamedes is tempting but preference is for UP THE PACE, who won with something to spare on his recent nursery debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MOLTEN SEA justified favouritism when digging deep to deny a subsequent winner on her handicap bow at Musselburgh 12 days ago. A 3lb higher mark is unlikely the ceiling of her ability and tackling the all-weather for the first time shouldn't prevent her from completing a double. Miss Monte Carlo may appreciate a return to this distance and she should make her presence felt, while Tango Sunset's opening mark looks workable.

MOLTEN SEA still looks ahead of her mark despite taking a 3 lb rise in the weights for her recent Musselburgh success so is hard to side against. Miss Monte Carlo appeals as the one to chase home William Haggas' progressive filly ahead of in-form duo Kinetic and Polar Princess.

It's very hard to ignore the claims of MOLTEN SEA, who beat a subsequent winner (pair clear) at Musselburgh and is only 3lb higher now.

17:05 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 8f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Where's Freddy was narrowly denied over 7f here last Saturday and he should go well stepping back up in distance, while Terries Royale also makes plenty of appeal following solid win and placed efforts at Ascot and Doncaster respectively. However, AMSTERDAM is less exposed than the aforementioned pair and produced his best effort yet when stepped back up to 1m at York last time. Down in class off just 1lb higher, he rates the one to beat.

CLASSIC ENCOUNTER shaped very well having had 9 months off when fifth in a Newcastle novice 16 days ago having been caught further back than ideal. Now handicapping from what could well prove a lenient mark, he earns the vote, ahead of Mick Appleby's Terries Royale who patently shaped best when runner-up at Doncaster 11 days ago. Amsterdam and Pressure's On are another pair to consider in an interesting finale.

A rising force in 1m handicaps lately, TERRIES ROYALE gets the vote ahead of Classic Encounter and Where's Freddy.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Henry de Bromhead fought off suitors from elsewhere when bringing MOSSY FEN PARK back to his Co Waterford base at Goffs in May. Offered for sale by his then owners Clipper Logistics, the Walk In The Park five-year-old fetched 235,000 pounds, with de Bromhead and Gerry Aherne the successful bidders. The winner of a point-to-point when in the care of Sean Doyle, the well-regarded bay was last seen finishing second in a Grade 2 over flights. Starting off over regulation fences now, he looks the one to beat. Disappointingly pulled up when sent off a 10/1 chance in the Irish National in April, Good Time Jonny is of definite interest with Derek O'Connor aboard, while smart hurdler Yeats Star and the Willie Mullins-trained Billericay Dickie are other leading contenders.

Plenty of interesting types in this beginners chase and DARTAN earns the vote to go one better than on chasing debut at the Galway Festival last month at the expense of Mossy Fen Park, who is a previous point winner and looks every inch a chaser for Henry de Bromhead. Yeats Star and Billericay Dickie are both chasing debutants representing powerful yards and that pair complete the shortlist.

Henry de Bromhead had to stretch to £235,000 to keep MOSSY FEN PARK in his yard and the wide-margin point winner can get the job done

17:15 Perth NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DRUMLEE MYTH has hit the frame on both bumper outings to date and he looks the one to side with. Sean McParlan's gelding arrives on the back of a fine third at Wexford and he can make the most of the weight received from penalised winner Peace Motivator. The four-year-old was value for further when making a winning racecourse debut at Worcester at the start of this month and he isn't taken lightly. Market support for point-to-point winner Hay Meadow would be interesting.

Irish-raider DRUMLEE MYTH showed enough in 2 starts this summer to think a race of this nature is well within reach and he could well be the way to go. Debutant-winner Peace Motivator rates the chief danger, ahead of pint-scorer Hay Meadow.

Peace Motivator might do well to defy a penalty against DRUMLEE MYTH who has posted superior Topspeed and RPR figures.

17:23 Pontefract Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FISCAL POLICY remains on the same mark as last week's C&D success in an apprentice handicap and the five-year-old, who bids for a third win in four outings, is likely to prove too strong for the opposition. The Good Biscuit went close at Ripon in June and is likely to pose a strong threat along with Thursday's Child, who returned to form at Carlisle last time.

FISCAL POLICY confirmed himself to be an improved performer for this yard when doubling his tally for the season over C&D last week and he's fancied to make it 3 wins from his last 4 outings at the expense of The Good Biscuit, who was runner-up for the second time in 6f handicaps over the summer at Ripon when last seen 3 months ago and remains of interest from 2 lb higher. Wen Moon completes the shortlist down in grade.

Off an attractive mark returned to Pontefract, WEN MOON (nap) is particularly interesting. Origintrail is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PROPHET'S PATH has been knocking on the door in recent months and a breakthrough victory might be on the cards at the sixth time of asking. Owen Burrows' charge is likely to appreciate stepping back up in trip and he may be able to deny the luckless Lennox. The Muhaarar colt was hampered and unseated rider at Doncaster 11 days ago, but a reproduction of his previous runner-up efforts at Windsor and Yarmouth gives him every chance of being in the mix. Market confidence behind newcomer Rose Coloured Girl could see her involved as well.

PROPHET'S PATH holds the clear edge on form so is fancied to end a run of second placings and get off the mark. Lennox also has some fair form to his name and rates much the biggest threat to Owen Burrows' 3-y-o unless Eve Johnson Houghton's Waldgeist newcomer Rose Coloured Girl proves well above average on her debut.

There's a good chance this will develop into a match between LENNOX and Prophet's Path, with the former narrowly preferred.

17:45 Listowel NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A bit of a guessing game, with newcomers dominating. One such is GOLDINTHEVALLEYS, a 220,000-euro yearling purchase. Out of a half-sister to 2012 Breeders' Cup winner Flotilla, he represents top connections and will be ably assisted by the evergreen Derek O'Connor. Out of Grade 1 winner Augusta Kate, first reserve Amen Kate would be of definite interest if getting a run, while other debutants worthy of consideration are the Gordon Elliott-trained William Butler and Richard O'Brien's Spare Chips. Of the experienced runners in the line-up, Rural Link stands out with Patrick Mullins aboard. Live Aid will need to bounce back from a disappointing effort at Kilbeggan if he is to feature here, while South Of Killerig and Killarney fifth Friary Road are others of note.

This could go to a newcomer, with preference for WILLIAM BUTLER who is taken to make a winning start for his leading yard. Goldinthevalleys also makes appeal on paper and is interesting on his first outing, with Rural Link the pick of those with previous experience.

A hopeful vote goes to SOUTH OF KILLERIG who has contested two maiden hurdles and may have the speed for this test

18:00 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 11f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Sugarloaf Lenny successfully completed a double when scoring by the smallest of margins over 1m4f at Lingfield earlier in the month and he should remain competitive off 3lb higher. However, it may pay to side with FRAM CASTLE, who returns to the Ollie Sangster stable after hitting the crossbar at Newmarket last month. The son of Decorated Knight might improve for the extra distance and he looks the one to side with. Scottish Reel needs to be monitored in the market on his handicap debut.

SUGARLOAF LENNY arrives at the top of his game and remains fairly treated. He can complete the hat-trick. Scottish Reel and Fearless Bay look the likeliest dangers.

Bottom-weight FRAM CASTLE is taken to open his account. Sugarloaf Lenny and Scottish Reel complete a robust hand for the 3yos.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Vibrato took a step forward from his debut effort to take the silver medal home over C&D in March and is likely to give a solid account on his first start for new connections. However, he might come out second best to OMBRECELL, who caught the eye when finishing a fair fourth on his debut at Kempton last month. The son of Bated Breath is likely to have plenty more to offer and could be the one to beat for the in-form Clive Cox yard. Sword completes the shortlist.

SWORD has cheekpieces refitted after disappointing at Kempton last time and is taken to open his account here. Baraq and Lattaash look the obvious dangers.

Sword has the best form but doesn't look one to take a short price about. Preference is for LATTAASH, ahead of Ombrecell.

19:00 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Covert Legend bounced back to form when returning from a break to fill the runner-up spot at Wolverhampton and it would be no surprise to see him have a say off 1lb higher. However, HAVE YOU A MINUTE looks the way to go. Tom Tate's four-year-old got up in the dying strides over track and trip on his most recent start and a 3lb rise might prove to be on the lenient side. Triggerman is another to note.

HAVE YOU A MINUTE posted his best effort yet when narrowly scoring over C&D last month and remains fairly treated. He can follow up. Covert Legend and Embarked head the list of dangers in an open-looking contest.

Being a progressive sort on AW, HAVE YOU A MINUTE (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Embarked is second choice.

19:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In what looks a trappy affair on paper, UNASSUMING gets a tentative vote. The daughter of Lope De Vega hasn't kicked on as expected since making a promising debut for Joseph O'Brien in June but, making her handicap/stable debut for the shrewd George Boughey team, a bold bid looks firmly on the cards. Cuban Fiesta looks the main danger to the selection following a recent runner-up effort over a mile at Newcastle, while this step up in trip looks an interesting move for Motagally.

CUBAN FIESTA was seen off only by one in top form on his yard debut at Newcastle last week, so he's the percentage call to go one better. Persian Phoenix is better judged on his previous form having made his effort earlier than ideal in a strongly-run race at Chelmsford on his most recent outing, while Triple Force had been shaping up well prior to his latest effort and is another to consider.

Any market strength behind UNASSUMING would be interesting on her handicap debut for George Boughey. Cuban Fiesta may be next best.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Golden Rainbow (first) narrowly got the better of ROGUE DE VEGA (second) when the pair met over 5f at Newcastle recently, but the latter did well to finish so close having conceded first run to the winner on that occasion. With more pace forecast this time around, Antony Brittain's charge can gain revenge over that rival en route to victory. The Defiant lost little in defeat when finishing an excellent second over 5f at Chelmsford latest and he commands respect too.

THE DEFIANT has been shaping up quite well from his reduced mark in recent weeks and this sharp 5f may be just what he needs to cash in. Dandy Fitz and Crypto Quest are a couple of potential threats.

Several to consider in a warm race for the grade. DANDY FITZ has been in fine form and is taken to add to last month's C&D win.

(2) Tazaman 7/2, Confirmed he retains ability following a lengthy absence in pair of 2m Kempton handicaps in June. Found test too much when ninth of 10 in handicap at Chester (15.9f, heavy) 13 days ago and this more suitable from further reduced mark.
First run back from a long absence was respectable but poor since.

(1) Smokey Malone 4/1, C&D winner in January who ran respectably when fifth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f, 13/2) 87 days ago, plugging on. Lines up here operating 2 lb below last winning mark and he could well be worth siding with.
Well-handicapped C&D winner who has won after a break in the past.

0-9 but doesn't do much in a hurry so this longer distance is worth a go.

(5) Prince Iago 13/2, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, seventh of 10 in handicap at Chester (15.9f, heavy) 13 days ago. Makes tapeta debut but would need to see market confidence behind him to be of interest.
Lightly raced and heavy ground perhaps not ideal for his handicap debut.

Runner-up on AW in April but lesser efforts since leave him with work to do.

(8) Daring Leader 8/1, 20/1, respectable third of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 9 days ago. Further increase in trip needs to eke out a little some improvement.

Interesting on her improvement on turf but now had three off days on the AW.

20:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The unexposed JALEA'S QUEST looked to get outpaced before staying on into a modest fourth over 1m4f at Lingfield earlier this month and, eased 2lb stepping up to 1m6f for the first time, she gets the nod to land the spoils. Prince Iago didn't cut much ice on his handicap debut over 2m on testing ground at Chester recently, but he is surely capable of better, while this drop back in trip can see Blenheim Lad in a better light.

SMOKEY MALONE is now 2 lb below the mark he tasted success from over C&D and, having performed well after a short break previously, he could be the way to go. Thunder Sparks, Blenheim Lad and Jalea's Quest head up the dangers in the finale.

It could pay to take a chance on SMOKEY MALONE whose win here earlier in the year was after a lengthy break and off 3lb higher.
