(2) Luckie Seven 10/3, Promising start when runner-up in a bumper at Doncaster in January 2023 and went one better in cosy fashion there last month. Progressed again when second in April if that year and defied 15-month absence when scoring on hurdles debut over 20.2f here in July. Lots more to come.
Returned from long absence to make winning hurdle debut here (2m4f) in July; respected.

(4) Byron Hill 9/2, Fairly useful stayer on the level and has shown a fair level of ability over hurdles, finding just one too good on debut for this yard at Sedgefield (16.8f, good) in May. Matched that form when runner-up again over C&D but lacks the scope to improve of a few here. Tongue tie on.
Good second in C&D handicap last month but others in this line-up have more potential.

13:55 Perth Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Luckie Seven backed up the promise he showed in bumpers when scoring on his hurdling debut over 2m4f at this venue last time, but this drop in trip is a slight concern. With that in mind, the vote goes to GERS GIGI, who justified favouritism in a decisive manner at Sligo on her latest outing and may prove very hard to stop under Sean Bowen. Byron Hill was second in a C&D maiden last month and also merits consideration.

There's depth to this novice and in the hope the drop in trip doesn't inconvenience LUCKIE SEVEN, he's selected to defy a penalty having made a winning return from a break here in July. Gers Gigi brings the best hurdles form to the table so she's a huge threat.

Luckie Seven may find it tough to concede 7lb to GERS GIGI, who comes here after a clearcut success at Sligo.

14:05 Newton Abbot Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Joe Tizzard sends INVESTMENT MANAGER back over hurdles for the first time since January 2022, and he may have been found a suitable opportunity. Seventh over fences at Uttoxeter last time out, he drops in class here and may make every post a winning one in a small field he could dominate. Paddy De Pole is an obvious danger in recept of 4lb but he has been found out off this sort of mark and may need some respite from the handicapper. Mr Yeats looks booked for third.

MR YEATS doesn't win very often but is a pretty consistent operator and as a C&D regular, this could be a good chance for him to snap his losing sequence. Paddy de Pole has to prove his stamina for this far but it's unlikely to be a thorough test and he's an obvious danger.

He's much better known as a chaser but INVESTMENT MANAGER looks the one best equipped to cope with the slow ground.

14:20 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

James Park Woods hit the crossbar in a classified event over 1m2f at Ffos Las month and he ought to go close back in the handicap ranks, but may come out second best to HELLAVAPACE. Jonathan Portman's charge struck in convincing fashion over track and trip last week and she could prove tough to beat again. Spanish Mane is also a player based on the form of her victory at Lingfield two starts ago.

HELLAVAPACE gained reward for a string of consistent efforts when landing a C&D handicap a week ago and a 5 lb penalty may not be enough to prevent a quick follow up. Spanish Mane dips in class so is feared most.

Having beaten a similarly consistent rival here last week, HELLAVAPACE looks solid. Roundabout Silver is second choice.

14:30 Perth Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Jerrash finished well clear of the third when filling the runner-up spot in this grade at Cartmel last month and he should remain competitive off 3lb higher. However, preference is for DRIPSEY MOON, who beat the majority of this field over track and trip last month and he boasts leading claims of confirming that form in order to record a double. Parisencore was second to the selection in that contest and is one to take seriously.

DRIPSEY MOON rates just the pick of these weights so is taken to follow up his recent C&D victory at the chief expense again of Parisencore who enjoys a 1 lb pull in the weights. Cartmel runner-up Jerrash is another to consider along with chasing debutant Valsorpresa.

All six can have a say. A chance is taken on chasing debutant VALSORPRESA who is a brother to Presenting Percy.

14:40 Newton Abbot Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A poor turnout of just the three runners, but that won't bother the Skeltons who send BEAT BOX looking for his hat-trick after wins at Market Rasen and then over this C&D recently. He has won on soft ground before so going, track and trip are all boxes ticked, making him the one to beat. Magistrato is certainly capable if he takes to the softer ground, and he may get the better of Top Speed in the race for second.

Hat-trick seeking BEAT BOX is much improved since joining Dan Skelton and hard to oppose on the back of his recent C&D success. Fellow C&D scorer Magistrato can chase him home ahead of Top Speed.

Revitalised since joining Dan Skelton this summer, BEAT BOX has an excellent chance to complete a quick hat-trick.

14:55 Brighton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JIFF'S ARMY took a big step forward from his debut effort to finish second at Epsom last month and he may have more to offer. Stuart Williams' juvenile looks well placed to shed his maiden tag at the third time of asking. 32,000-euro purchase Tuscan Star is related to plenty of winners and would be interesting if the market spoke in his favour. Of the remainder, Kildonan makes the most appeal after his third at Deauville.

Having contested a deep race at Newcastle on debut, KILDONAN advanced his form when third at Deauville 3 weeks ago and with further progress on the cards, he's the one to beat. Jiff's Army and Oasis Sunrise are the chief threats on form, while market support for newcomer Tuscan Star would have to be noted.

Slight preference is for JIFF'S ARMY whose Epsom effort suggests he'll take well to this similar course. Kildonan is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LEADING LION comfortably took care of his nearest rival by over four lengths at Bellewstown on his latest outing and the four-year-old may have more to offer in this sphere. Gordon Elliott's charge looks to have lots in his favour and could prove very tough to stop. Four-time course winner Malangen made the frame at this level over 2m4f here last month and has to be considered off the same mark, while Here Comes Georgie is another to note after his C&D victory last time.

LEADING LION cashed in on a lenient hurdles mark based on his Flat ability when a ready winner at Bellewstown 12 days ago and representing a top yard, his revised mark should be within range. Malangen and Just Dottie are course regulars who can make their presence felt.

Gordon Elliott's LEADING LION looked well ahead of his mark when an easy Bellewstown winner and can defy a 13lb hike in the weights.

15:15 Newton Abbot Handicap Chase (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Jockey Freddie Gingell claims 3lb riding for Paul Nicholls, which may be enough to see top-weight DANCINGONTHEEDGE get back to winning ways on her debut over fences. Her sole victory over hurdles came here in July and, if she takes to the larger obstacles, she might prove tough to beat. Coconut Twist won over this C&D on his chasing debut in May and is not one to overlook, likewise Market Rasen winner Hey Day Baby.

It may be worth siding with BENSINI, who was essentially beaten by a couple of better-handicapped rivals here nine days ago and this step back up in trip will be no bad thing. If Dancingontheedge takes to fences at the first attempt she will have a fighting chance off this mark. Coconut Twist and Hey Day Baby also merit respect.

Prominent racer BENSINI has been knocking on the door in recent weeks and might be the answer.

15:20 Galway Maiden Hurdle 17f  Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

APPLE'S OF BRESIL has shown plenty of promise both in bumpers and maiden hurdles and may have found a good opportunity to open his jumping account. The Barry Connell-trained gelding won a Sligo bumper in July and was a creditable fourth behind Jackfinbar over C&D at the Festival meeting. Portcammon won a Roscommon bumper in good style on debut and was absent for a year until reappearing again in a bumper here last month, while The Mediator also won a bumper on debut way back in 2021 and has plenty of experience over hurdles. Point-to-point winner Olympy De Cerisy has been expensive to follow in bumpers.

PORTCAMMON is sure to be well schooled ahead of this hurdles debut given the yard he represents so he could be the way to go. Fellow-bumper winner Apple's of Bresil is an obvious danger, along with The Mediator.

Preference is for APPLE'S OF BRESIL. This looks easier than the maiden hurdle he contested here in August and drying ground will suit.

VOODOO RAY finished a close-up third in a similar grade last week and the son of Ribchester remains on the same rating. Gary and Josh Moore's five-year-old may only need to produce a repeat of that display in order to get back to winning ways. Secret Handsheikh finished two places in front of Thismydream (seventh) at Sandown last time and he can confirm that form, while first-time cheekpieces could eke out more from Libra Tiger and he is another to consider.

This is easier than the Sandown race LIBRA TIGER contested 10 days ago and now 2 lb below his last winning mark, he looks ready to cash in. Course regular Secret Handsheikh and Voodoo Ray look the chief threats.

Secret Handsheikh and Voodoo Ray are respected. LIBRA TIGER looks an interesting alternative, especially if the ground is soft.

15:40 Perth Handicap Chase (Class 3) 24f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having proved a different proposition in first-time cheekpieces at Worcester in July, Olivers Travels supplemented that victory when following up over the same C&D in August. However, a further 8lb rise in the ratings demands another career-best performance from the six-year-old and THE GYPSY DAVEY edges the vote. Evan Williams' gelding arrives on the back of a close-up second at Market Rasen and a 1lb rise looks workable. Irish raider Sea Aster is also noted.

OLIVERS TRAVELS' form is on an upward curve so he looks the way to go in his hat-trick bid. The consistent The Gypsy Davey and Irish raider Sea Aster also firmly in the picture.

Universal Folly is opposable at the minute but the other four are in the mix. OLIVERS TRAVELS looks progressive and can win again.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Torrent and FINAL ENTRY both have penalties after making winning starts over hurdles and, while the former wasn't disgraced when second under similar circumstances at Cartmel last month, the latter shades preference given his scope to develop in this discipline. Having cost 180,000 euros as yearling, the selection was snapped up by these connections for just 28,000gns prior to his winning hurdling debut here in July, and there should be more to come. Masonbrook Meadow rates the pick of the rest.

FINAL ENTRY gets the nod to make it 2-2 in C&D juveniles. Fellow hurdle winner Torrent is second choice ahead of Masonbrook Meadow. Window of Time is a hurdle debutante to keep an eye on in the betting.

After launching his hurdling career with a win in July, TORRENT handled slow ground very well when second at Cartmel a fortnight ago.

15:55 Galway Handicap Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LIBERATED LIGHT won a 1m6f Killarney maiden on the Flat last year and has been mainly campaigned over hurdles since. The well-bred Muhaarar gelding appears on a competitive mark judged on his third to Gabriel Ranger in a 2m2f handicap at Cork last time and gets the vote over Granpa Ger. The latter has filled the runner-up spot on his latest two starts, including behind Rauzan at Tramore last month, while The Vegas Raider is another to consider having won at Ballinrobe on his penultimate outing. Burru has been consistent in 2m4f handicaps but may find this distance a bit sharp, while In For The Night, Tomas O Maille and Makfils are others to consider.

GRANPA GER is on the up and would have gone closer to winning with a clear run when second at Tramore last time, so he's the most appealing in an open-looking contest. Mephisto should be on the premises and there's a case to be made for Burru, who shaped well at Killarney recently.

Marginal preference is for GEKKOTA. He was third in this last year off 5lb higher and he shaped nicely at Wexford last month.

16:05 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SPRING returned a cosy winner over course and distance on her nursery bow and the Kodi Bear filly carries a 6lb penalty for that success, but should have no trouble confirming her superiority over Cassandraalexandra (second) and Lift Lady (third). Inshad may prove a bigger threat with blinkers applied on the back of finishing second at Chepstow, while it was soft going when Lucky Lottery placed in a claimer at Beverley in May and she can get involved.

INSHAD showed much improved form (as was clearly expected based on the confidence behind him in the betting) when finding just one too good upped to 7f on his nursery debut at Chepstow last week. He pulled clear of the rest that day and should prove hard to beat off the same mark here with this drop in trip likely to be in his favour. Spring got the better of Cassandraalexandra and Lift Lady over this C&D recently and, with the promise of better to come, she is feared most.

The biggest form contenders are INSHAD, Cassandraalexandra and Spring in that order of preference.

16:15 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

League Clash offered something to work with on his third-placed stable debut over an extended 3m2f at Newton Abbot last month and this drop in trip brings him into calculations. The Gordon Elliott-trained Gina Moon makes her handicap bow off what looks a workable mark. Nevertheless, WINDS OF WINTER catches the eye on her opening bid for Iain Jardine. The six-year-old only weakened in the closing stages when sixth over 3m at Tipperary in July and she's taken to open her account.

A chance is taken on GAVIN, who hasn't fired so far this year but he's plummeted down the weights as a result (now 17 lb below last winning mark) and he performed well when runner-up on his sole previous visit here last June. Winds of Winter is interesting on debut for his new yard having acquitted himself well in big-field handicaps in Ireland the last twice, while Irish raider Gina Moon, Sassified and Solway Molly all need considering, too.

Southern raider SASSIFIED has brighter prospects than his form figures may imply. League Clash is second choice.

16:25 Newton Abbot Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CALL BLUE returned from a lengthy absence with a solid effort when second at Stratford last month and could be hard to beat if building on that. Raised 3lb, the selection is still open to further progression in handicaps and offers strong appeal. Karannelle wasn't beaten far over the extended 2m2f here last month and has to be of interest, while Saddlers Quest also warrants close inspection on her first start after wind surgery.

After winning here in July, KARANELLE has shaped as if still ahead of her mark in races that didn't go her way, so she's fancied to resume winning ways dropping back in trip and grade. Saddlers Quest is likely to put up a bold showing and Call Blue can get involved if the race doesn't come too soon.

Preference is for CALL BLUE (nap), who returned from a long absence with a very creditable run in defeat at Stratford last month.

16:30 Galway Conditions Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

THE WALLPARK has progressed well this summer and is on a hat-trick after landing a valuable 2m6f here at the Festival meeting. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding stays well and gets the vote in a race where the market will provide important clues. Fakir D'oudairies is a high-class gelding over fences winning four times at Grade 1 level but hasn't run over hurdles in over five years, while French Dynamite is also a smart chaser and won his last hurdle start but that was nearly two years ago. Lord Erskine has proved a tremendous dual-purpose performer for connections and rolled back the years when landing a valuable 2m handicap hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival this spring, while Kings Hill steps up in trip and has a bit to do at the weights.

None of these can be discounted but FAKIR D'OUDAIRIES is fancied to make a winning return with his yard going well. Course scorer The Wallpark appeals as the main danger to Joseph O'Brien's smart performer ahead of French Dynamite and Kings Hill.

THE WALLPARK (nap) is the solid option. He's fit and in top form, he won a big pot here last time out and there could be more to come.

16:40 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Fighting Poet scored on fast ground over course and distance last time, but it took him 20 attempts before finally opening his account and the less exposed INNISFREE PEARL makes more appeal. Tom Ward's three-year-old left her novice form behind when finishing third on the soft ground at Windsor on her handicap debut, and she looks capable of winning off her current mark on that evidence. Daidalos finished behind the selection that day but has scope for further progress, while Fen Tiger may prove best of the rest.

Though FASCINATING LIPS has failed to reproduce the form of June's Windsor near-miss in three subsequent appearances, he is on a tempting mark and will have every chance if able to bounce back. Cloudy Rose goes well here and she is second choice ahead of Innisfree Pearl, who will have claims if able to build on her handicap debut third, and recent C&D scorer Fighting Poet.

In-form contender FIGHTING POET (nap) is taken to follow up his C&D win. Innisfree Pearl is second choice.

16:48 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although Grain Of Hope has plenty to prove judged on her Flat/NH defeats this year, market support must be noted now that she is under the tutelage of Gordon Elliott. That said,, SUMMERGROUNDS looks the most solid proposition having posted a solid third at Market Rasen in June. The eight-year-old scored at that same venue off a 215-day layoff in May, so this absence is of no concern. Handicap debutant Twoplacesatonetime also warrants consideration.

GRAIN OF HOPE is well handicapped on the pick of her form for Emma Lavelle and her new stable may well have turned her round since a poor showing on the Flat, so she makes more appeal than Summergrounds, who should give his running again. Twoplacesatonetime could have more to offer, so he's also considered.

The suggestion is JORMUNGANDR who all things considered shaped well at Worcester before getting stuck in the mud at Uttoxeter.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CLAIM TO GLORY won over the extended mile here on his nursery debut. Hugo Palmer's inmate found a second wind when challenged for the lead in the closing stages, so this extra distance should prove well within his compass and he can defy a 5lb rise. Greek Gift may also appreciate this extra test of stamina, though she is now 8lb higher than when scoring at Beverley last month, while Keep Singing could go well too.

LOCKWOOD appeals as a likely improver now her stamina is drawn out more on her handicap debut so looks the way to go. Carlisle runner-up Greek Gift appeals as the main danger to James Owen's filly ahead of recent course scorer Claim To Glory.

Greek Gift ought to make another bold bid but CLAIM TO GLORY is preferred after a gutsy win here on his nursery debut.

ALAN DE BANKS faces a potentially straightforward task here. A game winner over C&D on his debut in June, the selection was heavily supported on his latest start at Worcester but greenness probably got the better of him that day. Wiser and back in familiar surroundings, compensation could await. The Expensive One edges out Mon The Hoops to be the pick of the remainder.

ALAN DE BANKS has made a solid start to his career and is taken to add another C&D success. The Expensive One should improve from his debut, so can't be dismissed.

Alan De Banks is a C&D winner but THE EXPENSIVE ONE ran well for a long way in a good-quality Newbury race on his debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

REPEAT THAT returned to form with a vengeance when slamming his 14 rivals over 3m at Kilbeggan on Friday. The Shantou gelding, who only joined Harry Kelly this year and was adding to a previous win three years ago, can follow up under a 7lb penalty. The lightly-raced Glenmorefiftyfour advertised his claims when runner-up over 2m4f at Sligo last month, while Sydney Cruiser is stepped up in trip following a couple of placed efforts. Mrs Biddle, Tom Red and Imbolc are others to consider.

REPEAT THAT won easily at Kilbeggan on Friday and a 7 lb penalty may not stop him if in a similar mood. Sydney Cruiser and Glenmorefiftyfour are respected on the back of good runner-up efforts last month. Lizlucky is also on a good mark if ready to roll after 7 months off.

A chance is taken on WEST CLARE who ran well last time and he's bred to be an improver over this longer distance.

17:15 Brighton Handicap (Class 5) 10f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Myna arrives on the back of a solid second at Newbury and he must enter calculations in his current heart. However, the three-year-old isn't certain to appreciate underfoot conditions, so PLATINUM PRINCE may have his measure. The Harbour Watch gelding has plenty of soft ground form to his name and his latest second behind a subsequent winner at Goodwood cannot be faulted. Dr Foster makes most appeal of the remainder.

While PLATINUM PRINCE isn't one to set your watch by, he will surely go close if in the same form as when runner-up in an amateur riders' race at Goodwood recently. The prospect of soft ground is of no great concern for this 7-y-o, whereas it is an unknown/a worry for several of these. Sun Festival abd Carnival Day (in order of preference) may emerge as the main dangers, given that The Thunderer appears to be at his best on a fast surface.

It might pay to take a chance on CARNIVAL DAY who ran a positive first race for his new yard in a stronger handicap at Sandown.

17:22 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 24f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Gino Drummer Boy has to be of some interest but a market watch may be the best guide to his chances as he steps up to this trip for the first time. Iron Heart also has to be considered despite top weight, but they may both struggle to get the better of the hat-trick seeking BULLION BOSS. His C&D win last month was only narrow, but connections may revert to more patient tactics on this occasion and that may suit him better.

BULLION BOSS might be able to defy the handicapper again and complete a hat-trick. Iron Heart has run well on the Flat since his Worcester win in July and is feared most ahead of Blended Stealth.

It's hard to oppose Nicky Richards' hat-trick seeking BULLION BOSS (nap) who arrives at the top of his game.

17:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REPOSADO wasn't at his best on the slow ground at Doncaster on his first attempt over this distance. Narrowly beaten in novice company at Ascot back in May, he'll take all of the beating if running anywhere near that level. Target Man has been absent from the track since going close at Lingfield in April and returns to action fitted with a tongue-tie. We've yet to see the best of him, while Galaxy Zoo can include a Listed winner among her winning relatives and is a newcomer to keep an eye on.

TARGET MAN made a promising start when just edged out at Lingfield and is fancied to build on it and get off the mark at the chief expense of Jewel of London, who has the form to play a big part if at her best. Reposado is also well in the mix if bringing his A-game.

Reposado's best form gives him strong claims but TARGET MAN brings potential and gets the tentative vote.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BUT WHAT ABOUT ME was just joined when falling at the last at Sligo last time and may be able to gain some compensation. The Norman Lee-trained mare was tackled by stable-mate Shuil Na Tra when crashing out and that was an improved showing on previous form. She's still relatively unexposed. Kilmurry Jj was beaten favourite on his last outing and may just have been on the back-foot then after a mistake early. He still looks nicely treated over hurdles and could be a danger. Reddys Island also looks potentially well in over hurdles, compared to her chase mark, and is another to consider on her return to action.

Perhaps it's worth rolling the dice with the 4-y-o filly QUEENOFTHELODGE, who hasn't pulled up any trees in a trio of maiden hurdles but it may well be that she will be seen in an entirely different light now upped in trip for this handicap debut. If she fails to take the required step forward Ballagh Star could be the one to deliver the goods, while Reddys Island will be a threat if fully tuned-up and Lets Do This also enters calculations.

It could pay to risk BALLAGH STAR who went close to defying a similar mark here last September and his final effort wasn't too shoddy.

17:50 Brighton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Triple C&D winner OTAGO is likely to prove popular having finished a close-up second over track and trip at the start of this month. Jim Boyle's inmate makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark and compensation could be on the cards. Big Bard must be noted in his current mood but the 7f trip on more testing conditions may stretch his stamina. A bigger threat may emerge from On Song, who should enjoy a return to his last winning distance.

The vote goes to OTAGO, who won't mind what happens weather-wise and he was just touched off here off this mark eight days ago. Big Bard is another for whom the ground is seemingly immaterial and he is feared most ahead of On Song.

Judged on his latest effort, OTAGO looks poised to record a fourth C&D win. Big Bard is second choice ahead of On Song.

17:55 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GENERAL HUBBLE returns to hurdles for his second start since joining Gordon Elliott and he could be hard to stop following a third over fences at Killarney last month. He may have too many guns over this trip for Jimli's Island, who won here over fences in August. Paddy Elvis was a respectable third at Down Royal last month and is another Irish raider worthy of serious consideration.

GENERAL HUBBLE scored off this mark over hurdles at Market Rasen towards the end of 2023 and is given a chance to build on a promising first run for Gordon Elliot over fences in Ireland last month. Lisa Harrison's Dalileo has been in good form here this summer and is second choice ahead of Western Glen. Upfordebate is a handicap newcomer to monitor in the betting.

This can go to GENERAL HUBBLE who shaped well on his first run for Gordon Elliott over fences at Killarney and can resume winning ways.

18:00 Wolverhampton Claimer (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A C&D winner at the end of last year, STARSHIBA has tumbled down the handicap since but Mick Appleby's seven-year-old may still prove capable of winning at claiming level. Mr Squires was successful in a handicap over 7f here in June and has every chance on these terms, while Bowman has finished thereabouts over 7f of late and is another to take seriously.

STARSHIBA rates much the pick at these weights so this C&D scorer gets a confident vote. B Associates could emerge as the one to chase home Mick Appleby's 7-y-o ahead of Bowman and Alexander James.

These terms aren't advantageous for BOWMAN, but unlike his rivals he looks highly likely to give his running and that might suffice.

18:15 Galway Maiden Chase 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JESSE EVANS was running a big race on his chase debut in Killarney until a mistake two from home. He travelled like the winner running down to that fence but a blunder knocked the stuffing out of him and he did well in the end to finish third to Arctic Fly. With the experience under his belt he looks the one to beat now. Shecouldbeanything didn't come out of the stalls on the Flat last time but could be a danger now trying fences. The Malinas mare was smart over timber and getting 7lb from the boys is a help. Jet Setting Jim ran a solid race when third here at the festival and is another for the shortlist.

JET SETTING JIM shades preference ahead of Jesse Evans and chase debutant Boldog. The selection held every chance when falling at the last on his chase debut and wasn't knocked about when third over this C&D next time, leaving the strong impression that there is better to come. Jesse Evans was the pick of these over hurdles and probably would've made a winning start over fences at Killarney but for a bad mistake at the second-last. He is the main danger.

Preference is for JESSE EVANS. A late mistake cost him dearly on his chasing debut at Killarney and he can gain compensation.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 8.5f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The winning margin doesn't tell the full story in regards to how much CLOUDY SKYE had in hand when she stole a march to win eased down at Pontefract in July, and a 6lb higher mark could be brushed aside if she matches that level back on a Tapeta surface. The selection does lack experience at this venue, which gives hope for the likes of Giorgio M and Photon, who have both performed well here in the past.

CLOUDY SKYE is well drawn to repeat the front-running tactics which saw her to good effect at Pontefract last time and might be able to cope with a 6 lb rise. Giorgio M has been performing consistently over 7f and should have a say if his stamina holds now stepping up in trip. King of Scotia is another who has had a good spell lately and also enters the reckoning along with Photon, who should prove suited by the return to AW.

This looks very open but PHOTON could be interesting as he was running well until probably finding the ground too fast at Salisbury.

18:45 Galway Handicap Chase 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NEVERADULLMOMENT seems to have a real liking for the course here and can open his chasing account now. The Mahler gelding has gained both career wins here, the latest coming when scoring over timber at the festival meeting. He went up 8lb for that effort and it's no surprise to see him switched back to fences now. He remains on 113 over the larger obstacles, the same mark he won off here last time over timber. King Ferdinand looks an obvious threat. The Milan gelding was a good winner at Killarney last month and bids to defy a 9lb rise. Bocelli's Voice has been running consistently well and is another to consider.

Lots with chances but NEVERADULLMOMENT arrives on the back of an impressive hurdling success here and can race off the same mark so gets the vote reverted to fences. Handicap chase debutant Just Three is next on the list with Killarney victor King Ferdinand and Tramore scorer Lake Chad also well in the mix.

A few with chances but MARRONSTOWN might make them all go if returning to the form he showed when successful at Punchestown.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SURPRISE PICTURE was in a dominant mood when readily justifying cramped odds over this C&D on Thursday and is an attractive proposition turned out quickly under a 5lb penalty. The consistent Ultramarine doesn't always impress in a finish but it is not for the want of trying and, as a previous C&D winner off a 9lb higher mark, he is put forward as the main danger. Chalk Mountain and Roaring Ralph are others to note.

ULTRAMARINE has been knocking on the door lately and can deservedly get his head back in front. Last week's winners Chalk Mountain, Surprise Picture and Roaring Ralph can give him most to do in that order.

Roaring Ralph is high on the list but CHALK MOUNTAIN (nap) looked better than this grade when winning at Southwell last week.

19:15 Galway NH Flat Race 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MUMMY DERRY is a really interesting newcomer for Willie Mullins. The Yeats filly is a half-sister to exciting chaser Spillane's Tower, one of the top novices of last season who secured Grade 1 wins at Fairyhouse and Punchestown. Meitheal is probably the pick of those with form. She has been runner-up on both outings to date, at Wexford, and is entitled to play a big part with that experience under her belt. Clever Minded shaped with promise when third on her debut at the festival meeting here and with natural improvement she is another that has to be respected.

MUMMY DERRY is related to a very smart chaser and the percentage call is that she can make a successful start representing top connections. Meitheal is the pick of those with experience.

Team Mullins won this with an odds-on debutante 12 months ago and they might repeat the trick with MUMMY DERRY.

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Just three-quarters of a length separated GRECIAN GOD (winner) and Diligent Henry (runner-up) over C&D last month and, while the latter has a feasible chance of turning the form around on 3lb better terms, it is worth bearing in mind that the former raced very wide and could uphold the form if keeping a straighter line into the home straight this time. True Blue Gent wasn't beaten far into fifth that day and offers some each-way appeal.

GRECIAN GOD got on top of Diligent Henry close home here last month and can get the better of Jessica Macey's charge again. Blacklion is starting to look well handicapped again and is another who could play a prominent role.

This is much weaker than the handicaps HELP ME RHONDA has been tackling in Ireland and she can make a winning stable debut.

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a handicap for horses with a maximum of one victory, it seems relevant that Roman Secret's only win was here in November last year - in a better race and off a 7lb higher mark. She can go well, but has to give 2lb to JEZ BOMB, who seems in better form. Beaten less than three lengths when fourth at Thirsk last month, he won at Redcar in July and seems the more sensible pick. Miss Dandylion is another to consider.

JEZ BOMB left the impression that the trip stretched him last time but he'd been on the up prior to that and is fancied to resume winning ways. Hope Rising is an interesting one back up in trip with blinkers applied and Bay of Australia is well treated if he can build on his latest outing.

Roman Secret is expected to fare much better today but the reliable JEZ BOMB can gain his second win of the year.

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

NEXT SECOND has every chance. Already a C&D winner four times, with one of those off a higher mark than the 47 she is racing off here, she was hampered at the start at Chelmsford last time and is clearly a lot better than that. Maris Angel is interesting on her handicap debut dropping in trip, but July winner Suanni is the one expected to put up most resistance to the selection.

MUSICAL DIVA has been holding her form well and this represents a drop in grade, so she's worth taking a chance on. Ustath should benefit from the drop back in trip and Q Twenty Boy is a player returned to AW.

This looks set to be well run and NEXT SECOND, who reserves her best for this C&D, may be able to register a fifth win at the track.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
