(6) Mordor 40/85, Fair hurdler. Remains a maiden after 7 hurdle runs. 2/1, creditable second of 14 in juvenile hurdle at Tramore (16f, good to soft) 37 days ago, no match for winner. Looks to have finished improving but she's a definite player on what she has achieved to date.

13:30 Sligo Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LEITZEL won her first two starts as a two-year-old when with David O'Meara and had fair handicap form for him last term. She has shaped well in her first two starts over hurdles and wasn't beaten far when third at Ballinrobe in May. That was an ordinary contest but this looks no stronger and she can score if brushing up her jumping, which was novicey last time. Mordor is the obvious danger and has plenty of experience in this discipline. Placed in four of his six starts over hurdles, he was clear of the remainder when chasing home a smart type at Tramore. Game Eagle ran okay when mid-division on hurdling debut at Roscommon and has place claims.

MORDOR looks to have finished improving but the pick of his exploits over hurdles gives him sound claims here, so he's narrowly preferred to Leitzel in a race lacking depth. Game Eagle may emerge best of the remainder.

The experienced MORDOR should be able to take advantage of this opportunity. Flat winner Leitzel is the only logical alternative

13:40 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Almaty Star prevailed by only a nose in a fight to the line with stable companion EMPEROR SPIRIT over course and distance last time. However, the latter may well take his revenge on this occasion off 1lb better terms. Cinque Verde won on turf in May and is as equally effective on this surface, while Rebel Path could also go well in an open event.

Having not been disgraced in a handful of starts since returning in April, multiple course winner SHALAA ASKER lines up here lurking on a very handy mark and, with cheekpieces refitted, it would come as no surprise to see him go well from a handy draw. The Thames Boatman, Emperor Spirit and Almaty Star are others to consider.

A trappy sprint in which the well-handicapped SHALAA ASKER can capitalise on this return to AW. Rebel Path is feared most.

13:45 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

While a few of these arrive with something to prove, the same can't be said for ASA, a decisive winner over 2m6f at Cartmel last month. First-time cheekpieces (retained) were worn that day and should she progress further in them, a subsequent 8lb hike in the ratings might prove lenient. Ten Ten Twenty kept on into second over 2m at Worcester last time out and he is of interest upped in distance, while veteran 12-year-old Mackie Dee is no forlorn hope.

This could well develop into a match between ASA and Ten Ten Twenty, with preference for the former having belatedly opened her account in good style at Cartmel last week. Ten Ten Twenty found only a progressive rival too good at Worcester recently and David Jeffreys' 6-y-o may have to settle for silver again, with Ideal de Romay rounding off the shortlist from a basement mark in reapplied cheekpieces.

Preference is for TEN TEN TWENTY, who ran well in defeat behind a progressive rival last month.

13:50 Limerick Stakes 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Having caught the eye on a couple of occasions of late, BLANC DE NOIR can record a second career success. A consistent gelding since joining trainer Johnny Murtagh, the four-year-old has been plying his trade in a slightly higher grade of late. With Ben Coen returning to the saddle, the son of Showcasing holds leading claims. Recent Tipperary scorer Linger For Longer has been an infrequent visitor to the winners' enclosure but as a mare in form, she commands respect, while Imperial Dream has run well enough on three starts since joining Pat Flynn to suggest that he will get his turn in the coming weeks.

BLANC DE NOIR has been shaping up well for his current yard this year, coming from further back than the others who made the frame at Navan last time, so he could be ready to return to winning ways as he drops back in grade. Miss Black Jack has contested listed races on 2 of her last 3 starts and is respected, with Volatile Analyst also in the mix.

An open rated race with a few holding chances on these terms. BLANC DE NOIR has a bit to find at the weights but he's consistent.

14:00 Sligo Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TORQUAY ROAD showed potential in bumpers and may be able to take this on hurdling and stable debut. His best effort in three starts for Peter Flood was when sixth in a useful contest at Ballinrobe and he may have made his move too soon at Killarney last time. The bar is not set high for his first foray over hurdles. Bobbi Gin Tree had a nice run when fifth in a decent maiden at Thurles in November and might have needed his first run since at Downpatrick last month. He should be sharper here and can contend. Upthereforthinking is hard to fancy on recent form but a repeat of his Navan handicap run before Christmas would see him involved.

Henry de Bromhead's BOBBI GIN TREE has shown a fair level of ability and might prove up to the task in what isn't a strong maiden. Kimjoy has failed to complete the last twice but did hold every chance when coming down 2 out at Bellewstown on her penultimate outing and is second choice ahead of Aine's Lad.

Not much worthwhile hurdles form on view here. TORQUAY ROAD has shown just enough to suggest he could score on hurdling debut.

14:10 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 4) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Charlie Appleby's yard have been in fine form of late and INNER PEACE will likely prove a popular choice. There looks to be plenty more to come from the son of Dubawi as he steps up in trip for his handicap debut, and he's preferred to Kempton runner-up Cannon Rock. Damascus Steel will likely be thereabouts once again, but it was heavy ground when Eyetrap won at Chester last month and he's been raised 4lb for that success.

An open-looking staying contest in which the suggestion is ROAD TO WEMBLEY, who probably found a third run within a fortnight too much when last seen in April but still looks well treated returning from a 3-month break. He can get the better of Dream Harder, who lurks just 1 lb above his last winning mark, while Cannon Rock and handicap-debutant Inner Peace are another couple worth considering, too.

Damascus Steel should go well again but the progressive 3yo ROAD TO WEMBLEY can improve again for another step up in trip.

14:15 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Given that Bullion Boss kept on well over 2m7f here last month, a drop in trip might not be ideal, but he must be respected in what looks a moderate affair. Preference, however, is for LENEBANE, who bounced back to form when filling the runner-up spot over C&D last month. A similar performance could see the mare strike at the 16th time of asking. Kopa Kilana is also noted.

BULLION BOSS produced easily his best performance since returning from his lengthy absence when runner-up over 23f here 16 days ago and, in the hope the headgear has the desired effect once more, he gets a tentative vote to end a losing run. Kopa Kilana steps back up in trip following a pair of good placed efforts and is feared, with low-mileage Hope Hill possibly capable of better still for Sue Smith.

Still well handicapped after going close in new headgear here last month, BULLION BOSS gets the vote.

14:20 Limerick Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Trainers Michael Halford and Tracey Collins can continue their fine recent spell with VADALI. Fourth behind a subsequent winner at Gowran Park in May, the Aga Khan-owned colt returned to that same track to finish third last time. Slowly away on that latter occasion, the son of Churchill kept on strongly from over a furlong out. The Dermot Weld-trained Aratayvo sets the standard with an official rating of 81. However, having disappointed on his final start as a juvenile, there was little encouragement to be taken from his three-year-old's return in May. Final Curtain is an interesting debutant from the Johnny Murtagh yard. It would be no surprise to see the daughter of Lope De Vega play a part in the finish.

VADALI took another step forward when third at Gowran and looks the one to beat. Well-bred newcomer Bomberg is a likely threat for Aidan O'Brien, while Cathedral Peak offered plenty to work on at the Curragh.

It could be worth taking a chance on the well bred Ballydoyle newcomer BOMBERG making a winning debut.

14:30 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This can go the way of RORY, who was unlucky when not getting the clearest of runs inside the final furlong when looking to challenge over this distance at Newcastle recently. Jim Goldie's charge is taken to overturn form with Pop Star (first) from their meeting here the time before, with the six-year-old 2lb better off for finishing half-a-length behind in third. Huddle Up and Woobay are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

A tricky amateur riders' handicap to assess with the narrow vote in favour of RORY. He's been shaping as though ready to strike in recent weeks, and having not been seen to best effect at Newcastle on his latest outing, he could well provide his stable with a third consecutive success in this race. Huddle Up, Count d'Orsay and recent C&D winner Pop Star are others to consider.

A chance is taken on HUDDLE UP with Alice Keighley back on board. Second choice is Woobay.

14:35 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

INSTANT TENDANCE had a simple task at Kilbeggan last month and her mark has been left alone. Gordon Elliott's charge, a maiden winner at Navan in March, was a creditable fourth on her most recent handicap start at Bellewstown the following month and Kevin Sexton now knows her after being on board for her latest outing. She has a fair chunk of weight to shoulder but should take a bit of beating. Red Ball Of Fire is a regular at her local track and landed this contest off the same mark a year ago. She didn't land a blow over fences last time but her previous couple of runs on the Flat here were respectable. Flidais has been running consistently since the spring and is likely to be thereabouts again.

INSTANT TENDANCE is a reliable sort who might be up to notching another win back in handicap company. Red Balls of Fire has dipped to the same mark as when winning this last year and is feared most ahead of last-time-out Tramore scorer Jumping Susie.

An open race but INSTANT TENDANCE could be hard to beat having been left off on the same mark after an unchallenged Kilbeggan win

14:45 Chelmsford Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REMOJI took a step forward to land a maiden at Beverley a month ago. She still showed signs of inexperience on that occasion, but the runner-up has subsequently boosted that form by winning, and Roger Varian's filly can defy a penalty with further progress likely. Gaiety Musical will appreciate the return to this level having faced a tough task in Listed company at Carlisle, while Dazitoo showed promise at Haydock on her debut and can also figure.

REMOJI confirmed debut promise when scoring with a bit in hand at Beverley and can defy a penalty with the prospect of more to come. Gaiety Musical wasn't disgraced in a listed event at Carlisle and is the obvious threat back down in class, while Dazitoo offered something to work on at Haydock.

With further progress a clear possibility, REMOJI is taken to follow up her Beverley win. Questionable is second choice.

14:50 Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner O'GRADY'S HILL was sent off favourite for a bumper at Uttoxeter on her Rules debut last month, finishing second, and she is taken to progress for the switch to obstacles. Hamartia sets the standard with an official rating of 101 and she is unlikely to be far away, while others to note include Beau Della and the Fergal O'Brien-trained Gentle Life.

Fergal O'Brien's GENTLE LIFE shaped well after a long absence when runner-up on her hurdling bow here and can build on it and go one better now. Hamartia also has the form to play a part and is next on the list ahead of Bangor-second Beau Della and hurdling-newcomer O'Grady's Hill.

Hamartia just about has the least to prove but preference is for GENTLE LIFE who has lower mileage on the clock.

14:55 Limerick Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Irish Oaks entrant FLIGHT OF FANCY sets a strong standard off a mark of 94. Runner-up in a well contested fillies handicap at the Curragh on her penultimate start, the Aidan O'Brien-trained filly had earlier run in a Group 3 race. Although failing to fire at Royal Ascot last month, this represents a major ease in class. Thequietman made a promising racecourse debut when staying on to fill the runner-up position at Leopardstown back in April. The form of that race has been advertised in subsequent months by a few of those that finished behind him. Monasterboice, who was second here in a similar contest last month, has to hold claims under Colin Keane. His experience should also stand to him at this stage of the season.

FLIGHT OF FANCY was well beaten at Royal Ascot but sets the bar pretty high back in a maiden and is preferred to Joseph O'Brien's Leopardstown runner-up Thequietman. Last week's Curragh second Tango Five may prove best of the remainder.

Forgiven a poor run at Royal Ascot last time, FLIGHT OF FANCY is the clear form pick on her best runs and isn't easy to oppose.

15:00 Ayr Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STRATUSNINE couldn't get the job done when a short-priced favourite at Salisbury last month, but he still ran with plenty of credit in defeat and this appeals as an ideal opportunity to get off the mark. Not beaten far when travelling well over 7f at Haydock, Intrusively should appreciate the drop back in trip, while Helaali looks to be the pick of the newcomers for the in-form Alice Haynes stable.

STRATUSNINE has found just one too good on both starts in big-field novices so far and, with further improvement on the cards, Hugo Palmer's colt is fancied to make it third time lucky at the expense of Intrusively, who should also have plenty more to offer for his in-form yard. Ann Terry makes most appeal of the newcomers so she completes the shortlist.

Having been a close second on both starts, STRATUSNINE is taken to get off the mark. Debutant Helaali could be the chief threat.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FULL NOISE bumped into an improver in Aodhan May when last seen at Navan in February and may be able to strike off this mark now. The Carlotamix gelding was well backed then but was no match for his rival in the closing stages and that form looks strong with Aodhan May going on to win three times since. Win Some Lose Some came good in a weak maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan in mid-May and is still unexposed. He looks a danger on his handicap debut off a mark of 105. Ankud had a couple of decent runs in winter maiden hurdles and is another to note on his handicap debut.

WIN SOME LOSE SOME got up in remarkable fashion to open his account at the third attempt at Kilbeggan and should have more to offer still now handicapping. Full Noise and Herculaneum look best of the others.

The form of the race in which FULL NOISE was second at Navan in February has been well advertised by the winner Aodhan May.

15:15 Chelmsford Listed (Class 1) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

PINAFORE travelled with more ease on her first attempt over 7f when runner-up at Musselburgh last month. William Haggas' filly could have more to offer over this distance and a first Listed triumph may be on the horizon. Stenton Glider was behind the selection in fourth on that occasion and her overall profile suggests that she should be in the mix once more. The progressive Cloud Cover also warrants a second look.

CLOUD COVER took her record on all-weather to 5 wins from 9 starts when scoring at Newcastle in March, value for extra having been delivered late, so she can continue her progress to add to her tally upped to listed level. Pinafore remains unexposed at this distance and could be the main danger, ahead of Julia Augusta.

Julia Augusta and Pinafore are high on the list but CLOUD COVER was impressive at Newcastle on Good Friday and can win again.

15:25 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having scored comfortably over 2m at Uttoxeter last month, Baskerville brings plenty of potential into handicaps and he merits serious consideration on his first start in this sphere. That said, preference is for RIVER ROBE. Dan Skelton's charge was last seen running out a ready winner of a C&D handicap on her stable debut and, for a yard which tends to excel with these types, the suspicion is that an 11lb hike may not be enough to anchor her. Noble Anthem has an interesting profile and completes the shortlist.

RIVER ROBE won with plenty in hand on her debut for Dan Skelton last month and can go in again. Noble Anthem and GMS Prince may give her most to think about.

Dan Skelton's RIVER ROBE looked way ahead of her mark here two weeks ago and an 11lb hit could be manageable.

15:30 Limerick Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

With the form of his recent second over course and distance having been really well advertised by the winner, POPPADOM has to hold strong claims. The Andrew Slattery trained gelding pulled well clear of the remainder with a horse that has gone on to win his next two starts. As a son of a Cape Cross mare, stepping up to a mile for the first time in his career should also be a major positive. Newfire proved a bitter disappointment when well supported at Gowran Park last time but the Ray Cody-trained filly didn't enjoy the clearest of passages. She is better judged on her previous fourth placed effort at Sligo. Saffredi, who finished third at Bellewstown in mid-week, should be involved once again.

SAFFREDI has been knocking on the door of late and Gavin Cromwell's gelding can gain reward for several solid efforts. Dolce Far Niente wasn't at her best behind the selection at Bellewstown earlier in the week but remains of interest on the form her Ballinrobe second, with Gordon Elliott's Lightning Legs appealing as the type to improve now handicapping.

Gavin Cromwell's SAFFREDI is earning his keep with this his third start of the week and he has run well in all of them.

15:35 Ayr Stakes (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

None can match the recent consistency of COCONUT BAY entering this contest, and he may have travelled too strongly for his own good when third over 7f here last month. Going back up to a mile should help him settle, and the five-year-old gets the vote ahead of Big Blue Boy (fifth), who has half-a-length to find from that contest, as well as Haalim, who has strong claims on his penultimate second at Wolverhampton.

COCONUT BAY did well under the circumstances returned to turf when third in a similar event here 2 weeks ago and should go well again. Big Blue Boy and Amazing Winnie are others to consider.

AW winner COCONUT BAY was a good third here a fortnight ago and is taken to break her duck on turf. Big Blue Boy is feared most.

15:40 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FALCON PARK is interesting here on his first outing for Emmet Mullins. The Arcadio gelding ran well when last seen at Clonmel in April, finishing fourth to Tingarran Express, and if Mullins can extract any improvement he should be able to win a race off the basement mark. Steps In The Sand has been knocking on the door and is an obvious contender. He only went down by three-parts-of-a-length at Roscommon last time and is just 2lb higher. Barbaha Queen has been in good form over fences and is another for the shortlist on her return to the smaller obstacles.

STEPS IN THE SAND arrives in fine form and looks worth a crack at this longer trip. She gets the nod. Barbaha Queen and Hollow Spark head the list of dangers.

The one with by far the most solid recent form is STEPS IN THE SAND and this step back up in trip shouldn't be an issue

15:50 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having endured a rough passage when finishing in fourth in the Kensington Palace at Royal Ascot last month, compensation could be headed in ROWAYEH's direction. The four-year-old has plenty in her favour in these calmer waters and a third career victory looks likely. The biggest threat may emerge from Hosanna Power, who arrives on the back of a third at Chester, while quadruple C&D winner Wadacre Gomez also warrants respect.

ROWAYEH shaped particularly well at Royal Ascot, overcoming a troubled passage to reach the frame, and tops the shortlist having another try beyond 1m. Hosanna Power is lightly raced in handicaps and shaped well until testing conditions seemed to tell at Chester last time, so rates the main danger, with Zealot lurking on a fair mark if able to build further on a more encouraging C&D effort last time.

Back up in distance and down in class, ROWAYEH looks particularly interesting. Mighty Nebula is second choice.

16:00 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Clean Getaway (first) got the better of DON OCCHETTI (second) when the pair met over this track and trip last month but, with the latter much better off at the weights here, it would be no surprise if Dan Skelton's charge was able to reverse the form. Gallow Ford was the subject of market support when disappointing over 2m7f at Worcester latest, but his mark continues to fall and, sporting first-time blinkers on his second start after wind surgery, he cannot be overlooked.

HONNEUR DE SIVOLA has shaped as if needing the run on both his starts this season so could be worth chancing off a career-low mark. Don Occhetti made a promising start to his chase career when 13 lengths second to Clean Getaway over C&D last month and is 12 lb better off with that rival here. so Dan Skelton's charge rates the main threat.

Don Occhetti and Clean Getaway are obvious players, while GALLOW FORD and Honneur De Sivola are interesting types.

16:05 Limerick Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Willie McCreery trained CANCELLED can gain a deserved first career success. Runner-up on her racecourse debut at Cork in May, the filly occupied a similar position at Navan on her next outing. Only fourth of five at Gowran Park last time, dropping back in trip may well have been a factor. On the balance of her form, the daughter of Almanzor should take beating here. La Vita Nova, a staying on fourth in that aforementioned Navan maiden could get much closer now. Making her debut on that occasion, the Jessica Harrington-trained filly is entitled to be much sharper on this second run. Declaree, who was third in that same contest, also holds every chance in what has the makings of a competitive affair.

CANCELLED wasn't at her best on her most recent outing at Gowran yet her previous exploits suggested a race of this nature was well within reach, so she's given the narrow vote to get back on track returned to this long er trip. Daboya and Declaree head up the dangers with La Vita Nova and Dark Oak others who can get involved.

This looks open but it's interesting. The suggestion is ALFHEIM who held her own in a Curragh maiden that is working out well.

16:10 Ayr Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

DIAMONDONTHEHILL was back to winning ways at Thirsk last time when dead-heating with Yorkshire, and another bold showing looks assured here off just 2lb higher. That is not to underestimate any of the opposition in this competitive handicap, where the top two on the racecard, Regheeb and Nikovo, help set a decent standard. Titan Rock is also surely better than his latest run at York last time out and can figure with a revival.

ELIM didn't enjoy the rub of the green when sixth in a big-field Royal Ascot handicap last time and can confirm herself handily weighted by resuming winning ways. Thirsk-scorer Diamondonthehill could emerge as the chief threat to Ed Bethell's low-mileage 4-y-o, with C&D scorer Nikovo appealing as the pick of the remainder for minor honours.

The progressive 4yo LITTLE EMPIRE was sufficiently dominant over C&D last month to suggest this 11lb higher mark may not be beyond him.

16:15 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LA HACIENDA will appreciate going a little bit further here and should be up to winning a race off this mark over timber. She's a better mare on the Flat but it was a solid effort to finish third over timber at Downpatrick last time and she is only a couple of pounds higher now. Del Girl showed improvement when losing out narrowly at Punchestown and is still relatively unexposed. She went up 3lb for that effort and looks like an obvious danger. Pettigo was also second last time out, at Downpatrick, and is another with potential upside. She also has to be on the shortlist.

DEL GIRL is going the right way and is fancied to get off the mark. La Hacienda and Divilabother also appeal in what looks a competitive affair.

On just her third start in h'caps, DEL GIRL appreciated stepping up to this trip when just denied at Punchestown and can go one better

16:25 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The switch to more forceful tactics saw MOUNTAIN ROAD make all with some ease at Newmarket just over a fortnight ago. A 4lb rise in the ratings looks on the lenient side for David Simcock's gelding and a brace could be on the cards. Although underwhelming when seventh at Goodwood last month, it's too soon to write Hedonista off and she isn't taken lightly on this return to Polytrack. Abraaj completes the shortlist.

C&D scorer MOUNTAIN ROAD looked better than ever when going in at Newmarket last time so is fancied to defy a 4 lb weights rise here. Charlie Johnston's Hope You Can Run has his first go on polytrack but must enter calculations along with the handily-weighted duo Blow Your Horn and Hedonista.

The vote goes to MOUNTAIN ROAD (nap) whose record here reads 211. He showed his wellbeing with an emphatic win at Newmarket last time.

16:35 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SAINT ARVANS shaped better than the bare result suggests when staying on well to finish fourth in a warm handicap over C&D last time out and, eased 1lb, a bold showing looks assured. Jerrash clearly relished dropping in trip when running out an easy winner over an extended 2m4f at Bangor recently, and he is respected despite an 8lb rise, while The Big Lense was last seen winning gamely over hurdles at Southwell and is also noted.

JERRASH went with much more zest when scoring at Bangor last time out and can defy an 8 lb higher mark to follow up. The Big Lense has been in good heart hurdling recently and should be in the mix if able to translate that form to chasing, with Presentandcounting taken to round out the placings.

The Bowen yard won this last year with one in form and JERRASH (nap) got his career firmly back on track at Bangor nine days ago.

16:40 Limerick Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A winner at Navan last month, MAYO FOR SAM was clear of the third when just denied over 1m5f at Ballinrobe on her most recent outing. The handicapper gave her another 4lb for that but coming back in trip may help and she likes to race handily which can be an advantage at this venue. Forlio returned from a lengthy absence to win over C&D in May on his first start in Ireland. Disappointing later that month at Tipperary, he should be capable of bouncing back to form. Just Another Eagle was placed for the first time at Gowran last month and shaped like he would appreciate this trip when making late headway at Leopardstown.

MAYO FOR SAM arrives at the top of her game and can return to winning ways. Struck By Churchil and Albatala rate the principal dangers.

Up another 4lb for her Ballinrobe second, MAYO FOR SAM (nap) stands out on current form and can win if repeating that effort.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BORN RULER was conceding 9lb when he was a half-length second to Pol Roger over this course and distance in May and is an attractive proposition to turn that form around with a 5lb pull this time. The hat-trick seeking Own Accord also commands respect despite this being her first attempt beyond a mile, whereas Alpine Sierra boast plenty of course experience and appeals for a place with a first-time hood added.

OWN ACCORD is a filly going the right way and can make light of a 5 lb rise for Wetherby now stepping up to 1¼m. Pol Roger has made an excellent start to the season and is second choice ahead of Born Ruler.

3yos have won the last six runnings but the unexposed 4yo OWN ACCORD can buck that trend. Pol Roger is a big danger.

16:50 Sligo Handicap Hurdle 26f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The progressive FLICKER OF HOPE may be able to land his hat-trick. The Buck's Boum gelding won nicely at Clonmel in mid-May before following up with a bit to spare at Wexford later that month. He probably wants a bit of a cut in the ground so any showers would be welcome. I Am Spider Man takes a step up in trip after a convincing success here last month. He went up 10lb for that six-length success and is a leading contender again despite the hike. Early Arrival is another who scored by a wide margin last time and has to be respected. He went up 9lb for his easy 12-length Tramore success.

This looks very competitive but FLICKER OF HOPE arrives on an upward curve so is fancied to defy an 8 lb rise in the weights and follow up his stylish Wexford victory. Course winner I Am Spider Man heads the list of dangers, although a solid case can also be made for Mr Dibbs, Glendine Billy, Early Arrival and Sphagnum.

An interesting clash between FLICKER OF HOPE and I Am Spider Man; the former is the more proven stayer and can complete a hat-trick

17:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Local Music is versatile regarding the surface and, as a previous C&D winner, another bold showing is expected despite her going up 8lb for winning over 7f at Lingfield last month. Yeoman is also shortlisted after three solid recent efforts on the all-weather. However, preference is for previous Polytrack winner, RED HAT EAGLE, whose Newmarket success can be upgraded and that eye-catching effort suggests a 6lb higher mark is well within his compass.

LOCAL MUSIC had plenty to spare on turf at Lingfield last time and may be able to defy the handicapper. Zozimus finds winning difficult but can usually be relied upon to give his running and is second choice ahead of recent Newmarket scorer Red Hat Eagle. though Beylebieyi comes into it under a penalty for Friday's Doncaster win.

Preference is for RED HAT EAGLE who won twice on Polytrack last October and who scored in convincing style at Newmarket 15 days ago.

17:10 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for PHIL DE PAIL after a commanding success at Uttoxeter last time out, the seven-year-old is likely to have plenty more improvement forthcoming as he looks to overcome a 7lb rise. Hall Lane has been relatively disappointing since a strong runner-up effort at Southwell in April, but stepping up in trip could be the making of him, while Morning Spirit is noted too.

PHIL DE PAIL stepped forward from his chasing debut when winning in impressive style at Uttoxeter last time and, with further progress to come over fences, he can go on to score again. Hall Lane made the frame once more at this course 23 days ago and could be the biggest theat, while Giovanni Change is a 4-time winner here over hurdles.

Uttoxeter winner PHIL DE PAIL is preferred. Hall Lane is second choice.

17:15 Limerick Handicap 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KILLEEMORE LAD has been in good form under both codes this year and recorded his first Flat win over C&D last month. He was value for more than the winning margin of a length and can follow up off a 9lb higher mark. Curious Bride chased home the selection in the aforementioned contest at this venue and has since run another solid race over 1m5f at ballinrobe. She'll appreciate the return to this trip and has the champion jockey's assistance this time. Influential Lady stays well over jumps and gained a first Flat win over 1m6f at Gowran two starts back. This stiff test of stamina will suit her.

Lots with chances. BELIEVE IN SCIENCE is taken to gain an overdue first success on the back of his good running-on Gowran fifth with the promise of more to come over this marathon distance. Curious Bride also arrives on a losing sequence but is weighted to have a say, while in-form pair Caradoc and Killeemore Lad command plenty of respect too.

Killeemore Lad has obvious claims but CURIOUS BRIDE is not without hope of reversing last month's C&D placings.

17:20 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BRAES OF DOUNE tends to go well at this venue and, having breezed to success in this race last year, the Jim Goldie-trained gelding is a strong contender for back-to-back wins off just 5lb higher. Fellow C&D winner Visitant is well handicapped on old form and the admirable veteran, who posted a near miss over 1m6f at Redcar last month, also rates a key player back at this trip. Carvalhal completes the shortlist.

The step back up in trip looks sure to suit BRAES OF DOUNE and he makes plenty of appeal here. Carvalhal and Mr Boson can also make their prsence felt.

Most of these have something to prove whereas last year's winner BRAES OF DOUNE (nap) was a good second over 1m here in May last time.

17:25 Sligo NH Flat Race 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

APPLE'S OF BRESIL is a nice horse and should be hard to beat in a summer bumper. The Blue Bresil gelding has kept good company on his three runs to date and was most recently seen finishing third, albeit well-beaten, behind Ballyburn in a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown in December. He had lost out by a couple of heads in a strong Navan bumper previously and on that form he's hard to oppose. Obviously Willie Mullins has to be respected with his runner Chart Topper. The Walk In The Park gelding was a decent third in a Punchestown bumper last month. Iamagetaway also showed ability in some strong winter bumpers and is another for the shortlist.

A case can be made for a few of these but Willie Mullins' son of Walk In The Park CHART TOPPER shaped as though this longer trip would be to his benefit when a staying-on third in a big field at Punchestown last time so edges the vote. Ocean Brew should also be suited by this trip so could build on her Tramore fourth and emerge as the main danger. Recent course second Wild Mandate, the returning Apple's of Bresil and newcomer Our June command plenty of respect too.

Beaten two heads on his latest start in bumpers, this looks a good opportunity for APPLE'S OF BRESIL and the tongue-tie might help

17:35 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ROYAL PARADE bounced back to form when beaten a length into second over course and distance last month and he has to be of interest off a 2lb higher mark as a result. Eagle Day and Island Native are others who arrive here with strong form claims, while Lough Leane edges out Dream Pirate and Siam Fox to be the pick of the remainder.

Preference is for ROYAL PARADE, who has been given a chance by the handicapper and posted his best effort for some time here last month. Eagle Day and Island Native head the list of dangers.

The choice is DREAM PIRATE who remains unexposed on the AW and who ran well to finish a close fourth of 13 at Kempton 11 days ago.

17:45 Market Rasen NH Flat Race (Class 5) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MONTANA GOLDEN came from off the pace to finish an encouraging second on debut at Worcester last month and the extra yardage here should be in his favour as he looks to go one better. The son of Mount Nelson sets the standard on form and it may be newcomer You Moved On who follows him home for a stable with an excellent record at this track. I'd Go Maniac got the hang of things late in the day when sixth on debut at Lingfield and could step forward.

MONTANA GOLDEN made an encouraging start to his career when second at Worcester last month and is taken to go one better now. The others with racecourse experience haven't achieved a great deal so the main threat may come from newcomers You Moved On and Ellie Blue.

Runner-up on last month's debut at Worcester, MONTANA GOLDEN is taken to go one better here.
