14:18 Ayr Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The strength of Fred On Fire's Newcastle debut success has yet to be truly tested but, given that he pulled well clear with the runner-up, he needs respecting under a penalty. Dandy Man colt King's Call represents an in-form Kevin Ryan yard so it would come as no surprise were he to feature on his racecourse bow, though preference is for PENINSULA POWER. Richard Fahey's charge shaped with promise on his first start at Redcar last month and he can step forward with that experience under his belt.

FRED ON FIRE showed a willing attitude when making a winning debut at Newcastle 18 days ago and, open to improvement, he could be worth siding with to follow up under a penalty. Kevin Ryan's Gimcrack entry King's Call appeals as a likely type on paper and he's respected. Peninsula Power and Arbitration are others to note.

Fred On Fire sets the standard but has a penalty and it could be worth taking a chance on KING'S CALL winning on his debut.

14:30 Newton Abbot Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having placed in third on his hurdles bow at Ffos Las in May, BOYLES HILL should put that experience to good use. The son of Watar has also proven himself in soft underfoot conditions in the past, and he rates the one to beat. Market support for fellow point-to-point winner Manowest would be interesting on his Rules debut and the six-year-old warrants respect, but the Willie Mullins-trained Mr Escobar may give the selection most to think about on his first outing in this sphere.

MR ESCOBAR didn't always look straightforward when campaigned on the Flat but his leading Irish stable looks to have found a very good starting point now his attentions switch to timber and he gets the nod to come out on top. Boyles Hill, following his encouraging Ffos Las third, and point-scorer Manowest can provide chief resistance.

Hurdling debutant MR ESCOBAR, who was fairly useful on the Flat and is a rare runner here for champion trainer Willie Mullins.

14:40 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HEY WHATEVER was placed a number of times on the Flat for Noel Meade gaining a rating in the mid 70s and may have found winter ground too testing when switched to hurdles by current connections. The selection seemed to appreciate a sounder surface at Cork last time and was still in contention when falling at the last. Hopefully she's none the worse for that tumble and gets the vote over Coole Cherry who was frustrating to follow in bumpers filling the runner-up spot four times. She weakened in the closing stages in a three-mile maiden hurdle at Wexford and now reappears after a ten-month break. Give Her Hollie is a newcomer to note in the market.

This looks between HEY WHATEVER and Coole Cherry, with preference for the former who was in the process of running a big race when coming down at the last at Cork. She will take plenty of stopping granted a clear round. Coole Cherry arguably possess the greater potential of the two and while she is entitled to come on for the run following a 10-month absence, she is greatly respected. The selection's stablemate Gina Moon and hurdles debutante She Can Do It can scrap it out for minor honours.

Coole Cherry ran over 3m last time and former Flat racer HEY WHATEVER could have the superior gears around here on good ground.

14:53 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ISLAND OF SKYE showed a willing attitude when recording a narrow success on the back of a 170-day absence at Thirsk three weeks ago. That performance can be marked up given that he was held up off a slow pace and, should he take another step forward, a 2lb rise in more than manageable. Young Fire bumped into a progressive rival at Doncaster recently and has to be of significant interest along with Going Underground. If turned out quickly following Saturday's victory at Hamilton, Jumeira Vision commands the utmost respect in search of a four-timer.

This looks a strong race for the grade with ISLAND OF SKYE awarded the vote having overcome the run of the race when making a successful stable debut at Thirsk 3 weeks ago. My Harrison George is still a maiden but shaped well in a deeper handicap than this at York last time, with Young Fire and Jumeira Vision likely to be bang there again.

Although without a recent win YOUNG FIRE is really well handicapped at present and is just preferred to Jumeira Vision.

15:05 Newton Abbot Handicap Chase (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

IN THIS WORLD built on a trio of runner-up efforts when opening his account over fences at Worcester. The Dan Skelton-trained gelding was value for further that day and a 6lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent him from completing the double. Fellow last-time-out winner Feel The Pinch scored on the hurdle track at this venue and the switch to chasing shouldn't prevent another bold bid. He is feared most, ahead of Opening Bid.

IN THIS WORLD has taken well to this discipline and produced a professional display when opening his account in good style at Worcester 19 days ago, leading run-in and well on top finish. He can defy the handicapper and follow up. Opening Bid and Feel The Pinch, who has built up an impressive strike rate for his present yard, rate next best.

A commendable fourth off this mark in a competitive race at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago, OPENING BID might dominate from the front here.

15:15 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Shinnhill showed some promise behind Le Coq Hardi at Down Royal, but a chance is taken with MARCHER LORD. Lightly raced since winning a Navan maiden on debut for Willie McCreery, it would be no surprise to see him be highly competitive following a lengthy lay-off. Bodybuilder won a point-to-point in the UK but was soundly beaten behind the impressive Belloccio in a Punchestown maiden hurdle with Mortimer Duke further behind.

STEP OUT is the clear form pick and was yet to be asked for his effort when unseating two out here last time, so he's preferred to hurdling newcomer Marcher Lord, who has a lengthy absence to overcome. Shinnhill could feature if he's back to the form he showed on hurdling debut.

The consistent STEP UP might go one better than yesterday at Perth should he turn out again. Shinnhill is the best alternative.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Mythical Phoenix deserves a change of luck having occupied the runner-up spot on each of his four starts for the Julie Camacho team. He's considered nudged up a further 1lb in the ratings, but the unexposed ALFA KELLENIC is a sprinter on the up and she gets the vote. A comfortable winner at Thirsk on her handicap bow in June, she followed up in similar fashion at York a week later, suggesting she is surely capable of defying a hefty 9lb rise. Others to note include Aberama Gold and Batal Zabeel.

Progressive 3-y-o ALFA KELLENIC had something in hand when completing the hat-trick at York so looks one to keep on the right side of. Batal Zabeel is another 3-y-o on the upgrade and is next best ahead of the consistent Mythical Phoenix.

The return of cheekpieces can see Tinto go well but ALFA KELLENIC is improving at a rapid rate and can make it four in a row.

15:40 Newton Abbot Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The hat-trick seeking Clearance warrants respect in his current heart and the son of Authorized is likely to give another good account of himself. However, he hasn't always performed to his best on a slower surface, and this could prove a suitable opportunity for WINTERWATCH to regain the winning thread. Harry Fry's charge performed creditably behind a subsequent winner in a novice hurdle at Stratford last month and this return to handicap company will suit. Melton Mossy also enters calculations dropping in class.

You can set your watch by CLEARANCE over this C&D, and back from a short break up 3 lb, the hat-trick looks on the cards. Winterwatch should be a factor returned to handicap company, while better is expected of Melton Mossy back on his correct mark.

There is more to come from MELTON MOSSY (nap), who won his first two handicaps comfortably and was not discredited here last week.

15:50 Downpatrick Handicap Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

STEPS IN THE SAND and Rightfolksplease come here with a similar profile having both filled the runner-up spot twice before scoring last time. The Cian Collins-trained mare, twice successful on the Flat, opened her account over hurdles when stepped up to 2m4f at Sligo last time while Rightfolksplease merits plenty of respect after getting off the mark over C&D last month. Tipp For Mac is another in good form at present having beaten all bar the progressive Slieve Bearnagh at Cork earlier this month, while Muhtaluza is another to consider if brushing up his jumping.

RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE has got it together of late and a 9 lb rise for his decisive C&D success last month may not be enough to stop him in his tracks. Also coming into this on the back of a breakthrough success over hurdles, Steps In The Sand is clear second choice ahead of Tipp For Mac, who is 0-15 in this sphere but has been knocking on the door of late. The Vegas Raider is not without each-way hope.

Rightfolksplease and Steps In The Sand are feared but TIPP FOR MAC is well-in with the latter on their Roscommon form.

16:03 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

RAMON DI LORIA looks set to make a bold bid having finished third at Carlisle latest. He was winning off a much higher rating at the same venue last season and it could be his turn again. Atomise will likely finish in the mix once more, despite finishing only third when sent off favourite here a week ago, while Earn Your Stripes won this contest in 2022 and is preferred to Water Of Leith of the rest. Giselles Izzy isn't discounted either if backing up her Hamilton success on Saturday.

WATER OF LEITH began the year in good form, placing on all 3 of his starts in March, and he can pick up where he left off to resume winning ways back on turf. The main danger could be Ramon di Loria, who shaped encouragingly from his reduced mark on his latest outing, with Giselles Izzy also respected if turned out again quickly.

Ramon Di Loria and Water Of Leith are feared but there are grounds for expecting an improved showing from MIGHTY POWER (nap).

16:15 Newton Abbot Handicap Chase (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BEGIN THE LUCK found only an unexposed chaser too strong over C&D last month and this looks a good opportunity to go one better. That said, previous C&D winner Fat Sam continues to edge down the weights and there was encouragement to be drawn from his recent Stratford fourth. Limerick Leader showed up well for a long way at Perth in May and recent wind surgery could spark some improvement.

LIMERICK LEADER is potentially on a nice mark starting out for an in-form yard so could be the answer. Begin The Luck was an excellent second over C&D 3 weeks ago and is a solid alternative.

Olly Murphy's new recruit LIMERICK LEADER has been given a wind op and might capitalise upon a career-low mark here.

16:25 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BEAUFORT SCALE showed some promise in bumpers and made a bright start over hurdles at Cork recently when second to Now So Jake in a three-mile maiden. The Sholokhov gelding stays well and has scope for further improvement. River Tara is an obvious threat having won a bumper in good style here last summer and was placed on both subsequent hurdle starts last year including when second to Tag Man at Listowel. Charlie's Dilemma and Ollie La Ba Ba filled the minor places behind Talk In The Park over C&D last month and Eoin McCarthy's gelding now looks the bigger danger having been hampered in the closing stages. Midleton Rare won a Fairyhouse bumper in good style last autumn but needs to improve on his reappearance over hurdles at Punchestown.

Promising types BEAUFORT SCALE and River Tara are likely to come to the fore in this maiden. The latter is not passed over at all lightly but Beaufort Scale shades preference on the back of a very encouraging hurdles debut second at Cork. Though Ollie La Ba Ba was a place behind the re-opposing Charlie's Dilemma when third here last month, he was hampered in the closing stages on that occasion and may well reverse those placings granted better luck this time.

Preference is for RIVER TARA who won her bumper here and has made a solid enough start over hurdles.

16:35 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CODE PURPLE has slipped down the handicap ratings and took advantage to record a comfortable success at Musselburgh. He made every yard on that occasion and can defy a 6lb rise if allowed his own way at the head of affairs once again. Makalu has won three times over a mile already this year and can figure over this shorter distance, while Global Humor could bounce back to form at any time.

MAKALU arrives ion the form of his life and with Ruth Carr enjoying something of a purple patch at present, he's fancied to notch a fourth success of the year at the expense of Code Purple, who cashed in on career-low mark at Musselburgh earlier in the month and remains well treated on old form. The enigmatic Global Humor can edge out Concert Boy for third spot.

Makalu is having an excellent season at about 1m but CODE PURPLE was back in good form at Musselburgh and can follow up.

SEREN Y TEIGR kept on well to finish second over 2m at Ffos Las recently. Evan Williams' five-year-old looks ready for a step back up in trip on that evidence and he is taken to record a breakthrough success. Stratford winner Getmetothemoon hit the frame over 2m1f here latest. That is a solid piece of form given the winner has been on a roll recently and she merits the utmost respect from an unchanged mark. Culligran is also noted.

EURKASH has been the subject of a very interesting trainer change and is worth chancing under Harry Cobden, with confidence increased should the betting vibes be strong. Getmetothemoon has made a solid start to the season and is second choice ahead of John O'Shea's Culligran.

Getmetothemoon is respected but EURKASH makes his stable debut from a tempting mark and might be worth chancing.

17:00 Downpatrick Maiden Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

RAUZAN struck form when successful over this trip at Tramore and followed up in even more impressive fashion when drawing clear on the run-in at this venue last month. The Eoin Doyle-trained gelding looks a progressive sort and can complete the hat-trick in what should be a strongly run event. Littlebiggie made all over this distance at Killarney, while Disco Dancer won at Cork last time and also likes to be up with the pace. Point-to-point winner Koori Star made a winning start under Rules at Sligo, while Notkeepinyagoing impressed when easily winning a 2m4f Leopardstown maiden on testing ground in March but has disappointed on both outings since.

RAUZAN has been a different proposition over hurdles since cheekpieces went on and in receipt of plenty of weight all round, further success may well be forthcoming. Koori Star won a point and made the perfect start under Rules at Sligo so he's a massive danger, with Disco Dancer also open to progress.

Only seven go but this is trappy. Something has clicked with RAUZAN and his proven ability to handle this track ticks a big box.

17:10 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LEAP YEAR LAD bounced back to form in first-time blinkers when beaten only a neck at Nottingham. Kevin Ryan's four-year-old can return to winning ways and prevent Empire Of Light from landing a double in the process. The latter returned a surprise 28/1 winner at Haydock last month and is expected to be competitive, despite a 5lb rise, while the more exposed pair, Hortzadar and Tilsitt, have a bit more to find off their current handicap marks.

HORTZADOR looks on the cusp of another win after returning to form with a couple of good runner-up efforts last month and might be able to see off the 3-y-o challenge headed by Aviemore and last month's Haydock scorer Empire of Light.

Although disappointing on his handicap debut it could be worth giving another chance to the unexposed AVIEMORE.

17:15 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SIEGEN didn't need a second invitation when a gap finally appeared in the closing stages at Sandown, and he burst clear to win with plenty in hand. Richard Hannon's colt can take the step into nursery company in his stride. Leicester novice winner Blinky failed to get involved in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot, but this looks more his level, while the filly Where's Clare was outclassed in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot having won on the all-weather before that.

SIEGEN improved further and looked one to keep firmly on side when opening his account in good style at Sandown 31 days ago and he's fancied to continue on his upward curve now his sights are set on nurseries. The Dragon King, who quickly got back on track at Doncaster, and Blinky are others to consider.

Preference is for the two who have come by quieter routes, with Sandown novice winner SIEGEN selected ahead of The Dragon King.

17:18 Killarney Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The market is likely to prove informative here and Ballydoyle newcomer SARATOGA may be worth a shot on his debut. The Camelot colt is the tenth foal of a wonderful producer, Dialafara. She has bred seven winners, the most notable of those being Irish Derby and St Leger winner Capri. Apples And Bananas shaped with promise when sixth on his debut at the Curragh and may be the pick of those that have run. Donnacha O'Brien has won this race for the past three years and Wolf Rayet commands respect on his debut. The Camelot colt is out of an American Grade 2 winner.

APPLES AND BANANAS can put his experience to good use having shaped well in a maiden at the Curragh, with this extra 1f sure to suit. Aidan O'Brien won this maiden in 2018 with subsequent Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck, and National Stakes entry Saratoga looks the pick of his 2 newcomers. Sujet is another likely type on debut.

This trip should be fine as a starting point for SARATOGA whose pedigree is geared towards middle distances. Wolf Rayet is feared

17:25 Newton Abbot Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A step up in distance appeared to unlock some improvement in KONIGIN ISABELLA when opening her account over C&D last month. A 4lb higher rating looks more than workable for the Anthony Honeyball-trained mare and she's taken to follow up. Stable debutant Bushmill Boy looks just the type that will benefit from a change of scenery and an improved bid is forecast, while Invictus De Brion is entitled to build on last month's reappearance fourth at Worcester.

There were positives to glean from GET THE VALUE's efforts in a Stratford maiden and a novice event here in May, and he is of interest now switched to handicap company off a feasible opening mark. With recent winning form at a premium in this contest, Konigin Isabella, who got off the mark over C&D last time, has to be feared, while Bushmill Boy, Invictus de Brion and Testflight are all strong each-way contenders.

Preference is for INVICTUS DE BRION, who returned from a long layoff with a pleasing fourth at Worcester last month.

17:30 Downpatrick Handicap Hurdle 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WARMER DAYS AHEAD hasn't been beaten far in his last two starts at Punchestown and may get his turn here under Phillip Enright. The Waldpark gelding found only one too good over 2m4f in May and dropping in trip probably counted against him when third last time. Going back up a couple of furlongs should bring the five-year-old's stamina into play. Stockdale hasn't been able to add to a solitary win gained over three years ago but she's been second at this track over both hurdles and fences in recent starts and is now fitted with a tongue-tie. Cullenwaine was strong at the finish when winning over course and distance last month and merits respect off a 6lb higher mark.

WARMER DAYS AHEAD has made a positive start to his career in handicaps and with this step up in trip sure to suit, he makes plenty of appeal. Cullenwaine was impressive here last month so he needs considering, along with Stockdale.

The step up in trip should suit WARMER DAYS AHEAD (nap) down the ground. Cullenwaine and Stockdale should give him a good test.

17:40 Wolverhampton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having proved fractious at the post, Dubai Treasure failed to justify cramped odds when beaten in third at Yarmouth in August last year. The Godolphin-owned filly is a likely threat if keeping her temperament in check, but a race-fit HEART OF THE CITY rates a more solid proposition. The daughter of Night Of Thunder posted a respectable second on her debut at Newmarket last month and a breakthrough victory could be imminent. Santa Croce completes the shortlist.

This is an above-average fillies' maiden for the track and HEART OF THE CITY is the one who gets the vote having made a highly encouraging start at Newmarket. Dubai Treasure and Santa Croce are obvious dangers with the potential for better themselves.

Heart Of The City shaped well at Newmarket but DUBAI TREASURE is given another chance to confirm the promise of her 2yo debut.

17:45 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BOLD IMPACT returns to action with leading claims having made a promising debut when third at Newmarket back in May. The first two home have both subsequently won, so that form looks rock-solid and he gets the vote. Rokuni has been gelded since disappointing at Leicester but had shown ability at Ascot on his debut and can't be written off, while George Scott has trained the last two winners of this and runs the newcomer The Feminine Urge. Hoodie Hoo is another debutant to note with William Buick on board.

BOLD IMPACT was surrounded by next-time-out winners when a promising third on his debut in May at Newmarket and should take a bit of stopping if making the expected improvement. The danger may come from newcomers, with Hoodie Hoo, a 220.000gns breeze-up buy, and Aparajeo a couple who make paper appeal.

Much the most convincing case can be made for BOLD IMPACT who ran so well on his debut at Newmarket in a race that has been franked.

17:50 Killarney Stakes 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The 100-rated GALEN sets the standard and this is a nice stepping stone for him after an impressive maiden win at the Curragh last time. The Gleneagles colt chased home City Of Troy on his sole outing at two and after finishing second on his return this season he opened his account in style last time. Beechwood has switched to Paddy Twomey and takes a drop in class now after contesting stakes races on her two outings this term. She ran well when fourth in Listed company at Cork in April and looks the danger. Buttermere Ridge ran with credit when fourth in a decent conditions race at Gowran last month and is still unexposed on his third outing.

GALEN looked a smart prospect when a wide-margin winner of his maiden at the Curragh 16 days ago, form which is backed up by the time, and he can prove too strong for Beechwood and Buttermere Ridge.

Curragh maiden winner GALEN appeals as a colt who can go on to better things and should have too much firepower for these three rivals

17:55 Newton Abbot NH Flat Race (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There was plenty of encouragement to be gleaned from BACK IN THE BAY's fourth-placed Rules bow at Worcester at the start of July. An extra furlong is sure to suit the daughter of Doyen and she ticks the most boxes. Fellow point-to-point runner-up Pure Seduction may serve the most resistance to the selection on her debut in this sphere, ahead of the Tom Lacey-trained newcomer Eskimo Sam.

PURE SEDUCTION has shown ability in points and her stable has a good record in this sphere, so she's marginally preferred to Back In The Bay, who made a positive start under Rules at Worcester last time. Eskimo Sam is also considered.

Irish point runner-up BACK IN THE BAY made a pretty good start to her rules career at Worcester last month and gets the nod.

18:00 Downpatrick NH Flat Race 19f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It's hard to oppose the Willie Mullins-trained CUCKOO VALLEY, who went down by only a neck when odds-on for his debut at Clonmel in May. The winner has shown the form in a favourable light with a couple of good runs on the Flat lately and the half-brother to a Grade 2-winning hurdler can improve for stepping up in trip here. Eoin's Charm is clearly the danger after showing promise over hurdles before finishing second in a bumper at Kilbeggan. He was tapped for toe on that occasion and is another who will appreciate this greater test of stamina. The Crawford's have plenty of bumper winners and any market support for their newcomer Royal Attitude would be significant.

CUCKOO VALLEY's second at Clonmel on debut is clearly the best piece of form on show and he's more than likely to go one better at the second attempt. Eoin's Charm is a player on the back of a solid showing and Royal Attitude is of interest first time out.

The Willie Mullins-trained CUCKOO VALLEY sets the standard on the back of a narrow defeat on debut at Clonmel and will take stopping.

18:10 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The class-dropping SHEILA'S PARADISE proved far more competitive when runner-up on his handicap bow at Kempton last month and a 1lb nudge up in the ratings looks negligible. Compensation could await the Richard Hannon-trained colt, at the main expense of Giorgio M. The son of Profitable is best excused his fifth-placed defeat at Beverley in late June after rearing when the stalls opened. Zipster and Commander Of Life are also noted.

ZIPSTER was quite impressive when scoring at Yarmouth on his penultimate outing and he's probably best excused a lesser showing at Sandown since, so he's worth a chance to resume progress. He can get the better of the likes of Giorgio M and Sheila's Paradise, who both arrive in good order.

The Crisford yard is going well again and ZIPSTER can be excused his backward step at Sandown on account of the soft ground.

18:20 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

UNDER SIEGE found only Lead Artist too good at York on his latest start and stands out from the pack on that form. The winner has since placed in Listed company and Andrew Balding's grey colt faces nothing of that calibre in this. Min Huna showed a modicum of improvement at Goodwood but there should be more to come from her, while stable companion Bullet Point is upped in trip with a chance of finishing closer. Shamran is a likely improver and is preferred of the rest.

UNDER SIEGE sets the bar high for a race like this and should make it third time lucky. There was plenty to like about Shamran's opening effort at Chelmsford and he might be the one for the forecast spot ahead of William Haggas pair Min Huna and Bullet Point.

This has a standout candidate in UNDER SIEGE, who's been easily the most competitive in this field and has comfortably the best form.

18:25 Killarney Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Kevin Prendergast gives Jack Cleary the leg up now in a bid to offset the 7lb rise COPIE CONFORME received for her win at Bellewstown 11 days ago. The Make Believe filly opened her account when dropping back to this trip last time and still looks open to a bit more improvement. Noel Meade has his string in fine form and Gandolfo is interesting back in a handicap having slid a few pounds. The Churchill gelding had some strong maiden form last season and Neil Ryan takes a useful 7lb off his back now. The lightly-weighted Grand Citadel ran well when second at Navan on Saturday and is another for the shortlist.

COPIE CONFORME took a step forward returned to this trip when off the mark at Bellewstown 11 days ago and is taken to follow up with apprentice Jack Cleary offsetting a 7 lb rise. Grand Citadel ran a cracker when second in a big field at Navan on Saturday and is the obvious threat if turned out quickly off the same mark. Avatar Jet is another to consider.

It could be worth taking a chance with GANDOLFO whose only previous handicap start was off 8lb higher in a valuable nursery.

18:40 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having justified strong support in the market when romping home in a handicap at Yarmouth on Wednesday, KODEBREAKER should prove tough to beat on this switch to a classified event. Coconut Bay has acquitted herself with credit in similar contests of late, as evidenced by her recent third at Ayr. Tristan Davidson's mare is feared most, ahead of Evoluir, who is a potential improved upped in distance.

KODEBREAKER was an impressive 7-length winner at Yarmouth last week, so Michael Herrington's 5-y-o is fancied to continue that good work back on all-weather at the expense of Evoluir, who looks well worth a go at this trip judged on his staying-on second at this track over 6f last week. Coconut Bay is holding her form well better than most at this level so she can take third ahead of True Nation.

Evoluir has the widest draw and that is just enough reason to look elsewhere. TRUE NATION (nap) is a viable alternative.

18:50 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Roi De France was denied by a short head into second when sent off at odds on to shed his maiden tag over C&D last month and holds an obvious chance. However, he could be playing second fiddle this time around to AMPHIUS. Harry Charlton's three-year-old finished fourth behind Economics on his debut and followed that up with a pleasing second behind Indelible, who has placed in Listed class since. With William Buick back in the saddle, he could prove very hard to beat, while Northern Ruler warrants a market check on his racecourse debut.

This is likely to develop into a straight fight between AMPHIUS and Roi de France, with a narrow preference for the former. Northern Ruler will need to be good to trouble that pair on debut but he does make obvious paper appeal.

This may be a duel between ROI DE FRANCE and Amphius. Northern Ruler is a newcomer to note and Raheena is of some interest.

18:55 Killarney Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PIER PRESSURE ran well for Amy Jo Hayes at Naas last time and looks capable of winning again off this kind of mark. The Kingman gelding went for home a furlong-and-a-half out then but was chased down in the closing stages by stablemate Mr King and Barbapapa. That looked a strong enough contest and he is only a pound higher now. Shigar has been knocking on the door and has to be respected having been left on the same mark as when third at Leopardstown last time. Grey Leader is another who was third at Leopardstown last time and also has to come into calculations.

GREY LEADER got back on track when a close third at Leopardstown on Thursday and gets the vote off the same mark. Shigar and Perfect Poise are feared most.

It may pay to forgive PHYSIQUE for a moderate run last time as the form of his previous third at Limerick was franked last week

19:10 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

USTATH made every yard of the running to score by a comfortable four lengths over 6f here last week and, provided the quick turnaround doesn't pose him any problems, he could prove very hard to beat again. Split Elevens accounted for his nearest rival by a neck in a class 6 handicap at Brighton last time and he could get involved, while last-time-out winner Alibi Warning is another to watch out for.

Making his all-weather debut, SCARFO showed much improved form when winning at this C&D a week ago and he is taken to score again now that he's up and running. The 3-y-o is preferred to Ustath, who also arrives on the back of a recent success here, with Split Elevens completing the shortlist.

The one with the most scope here is SCARFO who got off the mark last Monday. Split Elevens is next best.

19:20 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Tiger Bay has hit the crossbar in this grade the last twice, including over C&D on her penultimate start, and she is likely to be thereabouts once again. The vote, though, goes to MEZZO SOPRANO, who made a very pleasing start to her four-year-old career, despite losing her unbeaten record, when filling the runner-up spot over 7f at Thirsk last month. Simon & Ed Crisford's filly will have no problems with this drop back in trip and she can go one better. Beyond Borders appeals most of the remainder.

MEZZO SOPRANO surrendered her unbeaten record at Thirsk a month ago but it was actually a very promising return to action and with that under her belt, she can quickly regain the wining thread. Havana Pusey was pretty impressive over C&D last time so she's second choice, with Ormolulu one to consider at longer odds.

Mezzo Soprano still has potential but this looks less demanding than some of BEYOND BORDERS' assignments this year.

19:25 Killarney Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MOTHER NATURE should prove hard to beat. The Justify filly was edged out by a short-head on her first two starts, including by recent Group 3 winner Grateful at the Curragh early last month. She was far from disgraced in the Naas Oaks Trial last time and should be up to taking a maiden of this standard now. She has a mark of 95 and the obvious danger is the Jessica Harrington-trained Riviera Queen, who is rated 87. This Camelot filly also drops in class having been last behind Oaks winner Ezeliya in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan back in April. Alinta may improve from her debut run, when behind the selection, and could be place material.

Paddy Twomey's ALINTA showed plenty to work on when fourth on her Curragh debut and might be worth chancing to improve past more-established pair Mother Nature and Riviera Queen, who drop back to a maiden after competing at listed/Group 3 level last time.

Despite an underwhelming effort in a stakes race last time, it's hard not to give MOTHER EARTH another chance back in maiden company

19:40 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

NANCY P was successful by just over two lengths over 1m4f at Lingfield last time, shaping as if this step up in trip could eke out improvement. The daughter of Ulysses is 5lb higher for that triumph and she looks the one to beat, with her main threat possibly being Capla Mojo. Gay Kelleway's three-year-old finished second over 1m4f here last time and could have a say up in trip off 1lb higher, while Starshine Legend is another to consider.

ALMUDENA is unexposed as a stayer and drops into a weaker grade than the race she contested at Sandown 10 days ago, so she's preferred to Lingfield winner Nancy P, with Starshine Legend another obvious player with more in the locker if everything clicks.

Preference is for STARSHINE LEGEND who scored on his handicap debut at Catterick last month. Nancy P is next best.

19:50 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Great Chieftain built on his two promising efforts after being gelded to score at Newbury earlier in the month and he would be foolish to dismiss off a 5lb higher rating. However, WAR CHANT looks the way to go. The son of War Command did remarkably well to finish third at Doncaster last time, as he met plenty of traffic problems at a vital stage in that contest, and he makes plenty of appeal off the same mark. The hat-trick seeking Red Hat Eagle is another to consider.

WAR CHANT's Nottingham win worked out nicely and on the back of another very sound effort at Doncaster, he just about boasts the most compelling claims. Cabinet of Clowns, Red Hat Eagle and Lyndon B are just a trio of potential threats.

Red Hat Eagle, Great Chieftain and Cabinet Of Clowns are shortlisted but the selection goes to WAR CHANT.

19:55 Killarney Maiden 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ANOTHER NIGHT was the Harrington second-string but attracted market support when fourth at Roscommon in May and her stablemate, sent off a bigger price despite being the mount of Shane Foley, got off the mark at Navan on Saturday. The daughter of Almanzor has had time to mature further and should be suited by the extra furlong of this contest. Sundance Sioux had the benefit of a run in a barrier trial when narrowly beaten over 1m4f at Fairyhouse. He can contend along with Tuba, who steps up in trip from a mile after staying on well for third at Limerick. The latter is bred to appreciate this stiffer test of stamina.

There was plenty to like about SUNDANCE SIOUX's opening Fairyhouse second and he gets a narrow vote ahead of fellow promising once-raced types Tuba and Another Night.

Having shown promise at Roscommon in May, ANOTHER NIGHT has been given time to mature further and the extra furlong here will help

20:10 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DAYTONA LADY was said to have been unsuited by the undulations of Pontefract a fortnight ago, so that performance can be forgiven. Ruth Carr's charge has proven to be more effective on an artificial surface, so, from a competitive handicap rating, it would come as no surprise were she to bounce back. The consistent Coast should give her running once again, although recent Catterick scorer Dusk Dame has fewer miles on the clock and might be the main threat.

Having scored at Wetherby in June, DAYTONA LADY wasn't seen to best effect at Pontefract last time and, if the race is truly run, she may be able to get back to winning ways. Lady Dreamer is of interest with blinkers back on and fellow class-dropper Jenni isn't without a chance.

Kensington Agent has had the handicapping door opened but GRANNY B can confirm the promise of her 5f run here last time out.

20:20 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The hat-trick-seeking God Of Fire looks set to throw down another stern challenge from 1lb higher than Wednesday's Kempton triumph, but a wide drawn could be far from ideal and FAST STEPS is preferred. Rod Millman's charge was able to justify strong market support when on target at Newbury last time out, and, under similar conditions, a 5lb rise should be no barrier to further success. Others to note include Morcar and Silver Gunn.

GOD OF FIRE confirmed he's on the up for new connections when going in again at Kempton on Wednesday and up just 1 lb, the hat-trick looks on the cards. Expert Witness saw off the selection when they clashed at Salisbury a month ago so she is a threat, along with Fast Steps.

Having made such a sparkling start for his new connections, GOD OF FIRE (nap) is selected to complete a quickfire hat-trick.

20:25 Killarney Handicap 11f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Three of these finished almost in a line in the 1m2f handicap won by Empress Alma at Naas earlier this month and perhaps BILLIE FRECHETTE can fare best in the rematch. Noel Meade's charge kept on from off the pace to be fourth and should be suited by the extra furlong here. A first-time tongue-tie is fitted and Jamie Powell's claim is a positive. Best Law (third) and Dream Ticket (fifth) are closely matched with the selection on that Naas form and both are fitted with new headgear. Highland Bells finished in front of the Naas winner when fourth at Limerick which brings him into the equation, along with T Or Coffey, who has been running well against older rivals.

BEST LAW shaped well when third at Naas recently and gets a narrow vote ahead of last month's Ballinrobe scorer Gregorina from the in-form Ado McGuinness yard. Noel Meade's Billie Frechette completes the shortlist in this finale.

Perhaps BILLIE FRECHETTE (nap), who shaped like this extra furlong would suit at Naas, can emerge best in a rematch with two rivals

20:40 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Although NOTRE DAME hasn't been at her best on turf recently, the daughter of Kingman is yet to finish outside of the top three on an artificial surface. This is not the deepest of contests in which to bounce back and she's fancied to do so, for all that handicap debutant Northstead Gardens could give the selection plenty to think about. Zelma struggled at Chepstow three weeks ago, but a 4lb ease in the ratings ought to aid her cause.

CROWN'S LADY seemed stretched by 1¼m at Beverley recently and can make it 2-3 in handicaps now back over shorter. Notre Dame did well on AW earlier in the year and is second choice ahead of David Simcock handicap newcomer Northstead Gardens.

Notre Dame won twice earlier this year but CROWN'S LADY may have more to come following her Ripon win.

20:50 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Stepped up to 1m2f for the first time here on his handicap bow three weeks ago, WOOTTON'S JEWEL found significant improvement to record the narrowest of victories. There should be plenty more to come from Michael Bell's gelding, and he's taken to defy a subsequent 3lb rise. Due To Henry had no luck in running at Yarmouth recently. Connections will be hopeful of a kinder passage on this occasion, though, and the booking of William Buick is a real statement of intent. Expected Arrival heads the remainder.

DUE TO HENRY is progressive and would have gone very close to winning on his handicap bow at Yarmouth had things panned out better for him. He shades the vote over Wootton's Jewel, who took a big step forward when making a winning handicap bow/return over C&D. Born A Rebel is another to consider.

After his luckless run at Yarmouth, DUE TO HENRY is clearly better than that result and could be a good deal better.
