After a third over an extended 2m at Worcester last month, this looks like a good opportunity for GAMBIE TIEP to get his head in front. Ben Pauling's charge was outpaced at a crucial stage of that contest, suggesting this extra yardage should suit. Conceal arrives here on a very dangerous mark, 12lb lower than his last winning rating, and he is feared most ahead of Go Fox.
MYSTIC MAN disappointed after 8 months off at Southwell but is worth another chance back down in class given his progressive profile last season. Fromposttopillar offered something to work on at Market Rasen and is next best.
The vote goes to GAMBIE TIEP, who is running into form and remains on a workable mark. Go Fox is second choice.

After struggling to land a blow in a couple of Flat starts last month, STAR LEGEND is likely to be seen to better effect back in this sphere. James Owen's gelding was beaten just half a length on his latest outing over timber at Market Rasen and he looks primed to defy a 2lb rise. Pak Army is likely to pose the biggest threat to the selection after returning to winning ways on the level at Bath last time, while Just The Man looks likely to follow them home.
EAGLE'S REALM has enjoyed plenty of success on the Flat since last racing over hurdles, and on that evidence, this mark should be within range returned to obstacles. Pak Army also won on the level last time so he's of interest, with Queen of Steel another to consider.
The Stratford factor swings the vote in favour of EAGLE'S REALM. Second choice is Star Legend.

Although unseating his rider at the second last hurdle at Downpatrick last month, STEP OUT looked likely to play a leading role in the finish. Previous efforts in defeat in this discipline suggest that the five-year-old should take plenty of beating and a first career success could be on the cards. The biggest threat may emerge from the Rebecca Menzies-trained Lady Mendoza, who was beaten only two lengths when third at Cartmel in May. Hurdles debutant Backdoorflush is also noted.
STEP OUT sets the standard on a couple of runner-up efforts at Downpatrick during the spring, and yet to be asked for his effort when unseating last time, he can get it right here. Backdoorflush brings fair bumper form to the table now hurdling so she commands respect, with Lady Mendoza also considered.
This looks a good opportunity for STEP OUT, who began his hurdling career with two pretty good seconds at Downpatrick in May.

After a comfortable success over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time, Coconut Twist looks set to offer another bold bid, but he may be susceptible to some better treated rivals after being hit with an 8lb rise. Therefore, the nod goes to UNWANTED ATTENTION, who was a clear second over 2m5f at Cartmel last time and a 3lb rise could prove to be lenient. Gentle Connections looked a useful prospect last time and is another to be taken seriously.
UNWANTED ATTENTION is very much getting the hang of things over fences now, clear of the rest when second at Cartmel, and can quickly resume winning ways. Gentle Connections was back on song after an absence when second at Bangor and is the obvious threat along with Coconut Twist, who made a winning start over fences in good style for new connections at Newton Abbot.
Skelton runner GENTLE CONNECTIONS (nap) looks poised to open her chase account. Coconut Twist is second choice.

Having recorded a double at Perth's last meeting, Christian Williams has his horses in good form and TONTO FOLEY could be worth siding with. The Vendangeur gelding arrives on the back of a third-placed finish at Newton Abbot and edges the vote over Tessy Lad. The five-year-old made a promising chase bow when runner-up at Market Rasen recently and another bold showing looks likely. Malpas may fare best of the remainder.
TONTO FOLEY remains one to be interested in at this level, progressive overall and better than the bare result at Newton Abbot last time. Tessy Lad made a positive start over fences when second at Market Rasen last week and is next best ahead of Garde des Champs, who's back down in class.
The answer may be TESSY LAD, who jumped soundly and ran well from the front when second on last week's chasing debut at Market Rasen.

The class-dropping The Churchill Lad also makes some appeal.
KAJAKI is firmly into the veteran stage now but the handicapper has given him every chance and both efforts this season suggest he's in good-enough nick to take advantage. Assuming the removal of a hood doesn't backfire, The Churchill Lad is a big threat, along with Galata Bridge.
The form horse is Malangen but he may be vulnerable to the well-treated THE CHURCHILL LAD, who looks to be on the way back.

The five-year-old sports first-time cheekpieces, which could eke out the improvement required to score. Electric Eddy produced the best effort of his career so far to hit the crossbar at Worcester earlier in the month and he has to be respected back in maiden company, while Don Rafael is next best.
DON RAFAEL stuck to his task really well when runner-up at Uttoxeter a month ago, and with the winner that day showing improved form since, that performance looks pretty solid in the contest of this. He's awarded the vote at the main expense of R S Ambush and Electric Eddy.
With further progress a clear possibility, DON RAFAEL gets the verdict. R S Ambush is the chief threat on form.

EVERYDAY CHAMPAGNE did well under the circumstances when an excellent second over C&D 5 weeks ago and is fancied to go one better. Cap du Nord wasn't far behind the selection that day and rates the main threat ahead of Wasdell Dundalk, who's expected to come on for his return.

FEVER DREAM's stable is in much better form at present and he had plenty in hand when opening his account over C&D last time, so he's an obvious choice to follow up. Fellow last-time-out winners Jeteye and Buy Some Time are obvious dangers in a competitive race for the grade.

HAMMER DAN appeared revitalised by a 133-day layoff when opening his account at Newton Abbot in June. A 4lb rise for that victory looks on the lenient side for David Pipe's charge and a brace could be on the cards. The biggest threat may emerge from No More Bolero, who arrives on the back of his best effort over hurdles to date, while sustained market support for handicap-debutant Absolutely Fine would be interesting.
ABSOLUTELY FINE doesn't really have much form to date but this marked increase in trip is likely to suit on handicap debut and he's a potential big improver for a shrewd stable. No More Bolero is an obvious danger and Hammer Dan can feature if he improves again.
Few make any appeal. NO MORE BOLERO gets the vote ahead of Hammer Dan and No More No.

On the back of three consecutive placed efforts over timber, the selection is a highly appealing option with Jack Hogan claiming 3lb in the plate. A C&D winner in May, Just Dottie is feared most off the same mark as when a respectable third at Uttoxeter latest. No Recollection and Trailblazer can also go well.
GAME BEAAA's jumping hasn't always been the most polished but she has avoided errors lately and shaped like she's ready to win when third at Market Rasen last time, so she gets the nod over Global Esteem, who is potentially well treated on Flat form having his first go in handicaps.
Dual C&D winner Just Dottie is of interest back here but GLOBAL ESTEEM (nap) has scope to improve further and can get off the mark.

MOUNTAIN BAY lost little in defeat when finding only a progressive rival too strong at Fakenham last month and a 2lb nudge up in the ratings looks workable. Seamus Mullins' gelding is taken to shed his maiden tag at the ninth time of asking over hurdles, at the main expense of Inspector Lynley. The seven-year-old returns to the scene of his runner-up effort in May and another good account looks assured. Joker Du Chenet and Hugueneau also enter calculations.
MOUNTAIN BAY is going the right way and the first-time cheekpieces might generate a bit more progress, so he takes preference over the in-form Hugueneau. Inspector Lynley is also in good order and expected to be on the premises again.
Far more reliable than most of these and likely to be suited by this step back up in trip, INSPECTOR LYNLEY may finally break his duck.
