Keen Interest |
(7) (9/1 -29%)9/1(-29%) | (7) Keen Interest 9/1, Placed twice over 1m at Bath this summer and took keen hold again over a longer trip at Leicester at the weekend. Turns out again quickly. Placed twice at Bath since returned to turf; below par at Leicester four days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (1) (10/11 +55%) Come On You Spurs |
10/11(+55%) | (1) Come On You Spurs 10/11, 9/2, first run since leaving Henry Spiller when creditable second of 5 in handicap at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) on reappearance 12 days ago, just failing. Player. Clear second in higher grade at Newmarket on stable/turf/seasonal debut; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (12/1 -50%) Aljadel |
12/1(-50%) | (2) Aljadel 12/1, Two AW wins in 2023 but has only one creditable effort to her name in 5 outings this year. Far from consistent but is well handicapped and the only previous winner in the field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (5/2 +0%) Newfangled |
5/2(+0%) | (5) Newfangled 5/2, Creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Bath (1m, good, 6/1) 25 days ago. Cheekpieces on first time. Largely consistent and likely to be in the thick of things again. Consistent this term; close fourth over C&D on penultimate start; headgear applied. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/1 -80%) Bramble Jelly |
9/1(-80%) | (6) Bramble Jelly 9/1, Modest maiden. Good second over 1m at Bath last month but below form back there 16 days ago. Placed three times this season, most recently second at Bath on penultimate outing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (28/1 -100%) Diligencia |
28/1(-100%) | (3) Diligencia 28/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Cheekpieces on first time, ninth of 10 on 1m Bath handicap debut 16 days ago. The headgear is quickly discarded. In good hands but holds weak-looking claims on form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (16/1 -129%) Signature Blue |
16/1(-129%) | (4) Signature Blue 16/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1, fourth of 6 on handicap debut at Ffos Las (1m, good to soft) 17 days ago. Improvement needed. Latest effort has substance (the race has thrown up three subsequent winners). |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
COME ON YOU SPURS made a pleasing start for the Richard Spencer stable when filling the runner-up spot in a class 5 event at Newmarket last month and she is only 2lb higher for that display. The daughter of Zoffany makes only her third handicap start and she looks the one to beat. Bramble Jelly was a shade disappointing when only managing sixth at Bath last time but if she can reproduce the form of her second off this mark two starts ago, then she ought to have a say. Of the remainder, Newfangled makes the most appeal.
NEWFANGLED has been knocking on the door lately, including over C&D, and might prove the answer to this opener. Come On You Spurs went close on her recent Newmarket reappearance and looks the obvious danger.
With further progress possible, Newmarket runner-up COME ON YOU SPURS could well go one better. Newfangled is second choice.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Spanish Mane |
(1) (12/1 -71%)12/1(-71%) | (1) Spanish Mane 12/1, C&D winner. Fourth of 15 in handicap (16/1) at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) 32 days ago, not ideally placed. Needs to back it up. Trip/ground fine and got back on track with a good fourth of 15 at Lingfield. |

Bedford House |
(4) (18/1 -80%)18/1(-80%) | (4) Bedford House 18/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 300/1, first run since leaving Alex Hales when eighth of 11 in minor event at Wolverhampton (8.6f). Off 16 months and needs to hit the ground running on his handicap debut. Poor so far and lots to prove on handicap debut on the back of a long absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (10) (7/2 +36%) Kodebreaker |
7/2(+36%) | (10) Kodebreaker 7/2, Thirty two runs since last win in 2023. Respectable seventh of 13 in handicap (9/1) at Redcar (8f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Can't be discounted. Ran moderately last time but had been in good form, including a narrow defeat here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (9/2 +10%) Top Button |
9/2(+10%) | (9) Top Button 9/2, Good second of 11 in minor event at Lingfield (7f, good to firm, 6/1) 20 days ago, finishing well. Needs considering. Engaged Brighton 7.25 Tuesday. He was a well-held fifth at Brighton on Tuesday when the return to 1m should have helped. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/2 +61%) Twilight Guest |
11/2(+61%) | (2) Twilight Guest 11/2, Remains a maiden after 20 Flat runs. Last of 6 in handicap at Brighton (9.9f, good to firm, 11/2) 37 days ago. Enters calculations at these weights though if back n his A-game. Last of six at Brighton most recently and record now stands at 0-20. |

8/1(-45%) | (8) Warrior Square 8/1, 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Southwell in March. Good second of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f, 25/1) 10 days ago. Player off an unchanged mark. Major player on his AW exploits but he's yet to look remotely as effective on turf. |

5th (6) (18/1 +28%) Love Is A Rose |
18/1(+28%) | (6) Love Is A Rose 18/1, 10/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at Leicester (8.2f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Others more persuasive. Lightly raced but safely held in her first three handicaps and improvement is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (18/1 +45%) Sir Laurence Graff |
18/1(+45%) | (3) Sir Laurence Graff 18/1, 33/1, last of 10 in handicap at Bath (10.2f, good) 33 days ago. Back down in trip with work to do. Missed nine months after leaving the Gosden yard and he's looking seriously regressive. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (13/2 +54%) Macho Sun |
13/2(+54%) | (5) Macho Sun 13/2, 17/2 and blinkered for 1st time, tenth of 13 in handicap at Leicester (10f, good) 60 days ago. Tongue strap on 1st time with more required. He's a 14-race maiden who hasn't run a race of note this season; now tongue tied. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (70/1 -400%) Baby Lionheart |
70/1(-400%) | (12) Baby Lionheart 70/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 125/1, last of 10 in minor event at Lingfield (7.6f, good) 30 days ago. Makes handicap debut with more required. 5yo with just three runs behind him and has beaten only one rival; 11lb out of the weights. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
UNITED FORCE has tumbled down the handicap since winning at Leicester last year. It was soft going on that occasion, so the ground looks to have turned in his favour here, and a good effort over C&D last time points to a big run from Clare Hobson's charge. Premiership placed at Pontefract when last seen and is not out of this, while Spanish Mane has won off higher marks in the past and can go well despite carrying top weight.
WARRIOR SQUARE is enjoying a good season and fancied to bag win number three racing off the same mark here as when a good recent Wolverhampton second. United Force is on a long losing run but could emerge as the chief threat on the back of his good C&D second. Kodebreaker appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.
Sean D Bowen got a tune out of UNITED FORCE (nap) when they just missed out here recently and he can claim his 5lb this time.

1st (11) (12/1 +25%) Miss Willows |
12/1(+25%) | (11) Miss Willows 12/1, Went close on C&D reappearance in May but down the field on both outings since. Well beaten the last twice and now 0-12 but went close over C&D (soft) in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (22/1 -57%) Crocodile Power |
22/1(-57%) | (8) Crocodile Power 22/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Bit below form sixth of 11 in handicap (4/1) at Newcastle (7f) when last seen in April. Off 93 days. Below par in April last time but fair fourth prior to that and he might not be far away. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (8/1 -7%) Obee Jo |
8/1(-7%) | (3) Obee Jo 8/1, Three-time C&D winner. Latest win at Leicester in May. Below par over this C&D since but he's capable of bouncing back. Disappointing over C&D last time but four wins here and scored at Leicester two runs ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (10/1 +50%) First Dynasty |
10/1(+50%) | (6) First Dynasty 10/1, Last of 12 in handicap (14/1) at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Down to a mark in the 50s for the first time but need to see more. Continues to drop down the weights but for good reason. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (9/2 -50%) Shark Two One |
9/2(-50%) | (5) Shark Two One 9/2, C&D winner. 3/1, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Leicester (6f, good) 25 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Shortlist material. C&D winner who arrives in good form; chance, especially if the ground is slower than good. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (7/1 +0%) Mutanaaseq |
7/1(+0%) | (2) Mutanaaseq 7/1, Four-time C&D winner. Ninth of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to firm, 25/1) 16 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Starting to look well handicapped. Four C&D wins last year and now below last winning mark, but a return to form is needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (12/1 -20%) Swinging Eddie |
12/1(-20%) | (4) Swinging Eddie 12/1, C&D winner. Likely needed the outing after 5 months off when eighth of 14 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good to firm, 40/1) 19 days ago. Capable off this mark if back to his best. On a competitive mark; needs to improve plenty for last month's return to action at Redcar. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (28/1 -180%) Fortuitous Star |
28/1(-180%) | (9) Fortuitous Star 28/1, Placed twice in handicaps for Grant Tuer last summer. Left that yard after a poor run at Southwell in February. Hooded first time for new yard. Betting perhaps the best guide to expectations. On a handy mark if the first-time hood and change of stables prompts a revival. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (5/2 +0%) Langholm |
5/2(+0%) | (1) Langholm 5/2, C&D winner. Several good efforts here this year before resuming winning ways at Thirsk (7f) a weeks ago. The outside could make life a little awkward for this front-runner but still much respected. Snapped long losing run at Thirsk last week; consistent and has solid claims under penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (7) (12/1 -20%) Rain Cap |
12/1(-20%) | (7) Rain Cap 12/1, Four-time course winner. Runner-up over C&D in June but not in the same form in his 2 outings since. Needs a return to this venue to spark a revival. His last three wins have come here; could play a leading role now back at Catterick. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (10) (50/1 -100%) Mintnthat |
50/1(-100%) | (10) Mintnthat 50/1, Won twice on AW for Iain Jardine at the start of this year but has found life harder for current yard. Won two in a row at Newcastle (1m, AW) in January but has struggled since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (12) (28/1 -12%) Secret Daay |
28/1(-12%) | (12) Secret Daay 28/1, Remains a maiden after 23 starts. Thirteenth of 18 in classified event at Thirsk (6f, good to firm, 16/1) 16 days ago. It's likely the wait for a first win will go on. Soundly beaten back on turf the last twice and he remains a maiden after 23 starts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
After being narrowly denied over 7f at Thirsk when sporting first-time cheekpieces (retained) on his penultimate start, LANGHOLM quickly made amends to score readily over the same C&D earlier this month. At a venue where he has performed well in the past, he gets the vote to successfully shoulder a 4lb penalty. Shark Two One shaped with more promise than the result suggests when finishing fourth over 6f at Leicester last month and must be respected, while Obee Jo is the pick of the remainder.
SHARK TWO ONE was successful over C&D last autumn and has been running well enough in recent weeks to think his turn may be near again. C&D specialist Langholm won comfortably at Thirsk last week and will be a big threat if an outside stall doesn't prove too much of an inconvenience. Mutanaaseq and Obee Jo are others who know where the winning post is over this C&D.
Preference is for LANGHOLM, who snapped a long losing sequence with an authoritative win at Thirsk last week.

Cochin |
(5) (25/1 -25%)25/1(-25%) | (5) Cochin 25/1, Maiden. Went backwards from reappearance when down the field at Bath 16 days ago. Tongue strap back on. 4yo maiden who has very weak claims on her handicap form. |

1st (8) (4/1 -78%) Sun Dancer Girl |
4/1(-78%) | (8) Sun Dancer Girl 4/1, Winner here in May. 9/1, fourth of 6 in handicap at Beverley (1½m, good to firm) 32 days ago. Can give a good account. Scored on AW here in May; solid effort at Beverley since (form has substance); respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (15/2 +6%) Lost In Time |
15/2(+6%) | (6) Lost In Time 15/2, 18/1, respectable fourth of 9 in AW course handicap (1¼m) 11 days ago, never nearer. Defied higher marks twice last year; shaped encouragingly in AW event here 11 days ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (17/2 +39%) Inbetweenus |
17/2(+39%) | (10) Inbetweenus 17/2, 40/1, bit below form fifth of 12 in maiden at Chelmsford (1¼m) 20 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Promising fifth in Glorious Goodwood maiden on sole turf attempt; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (3/1 -9%) Polemon |
3/1(-9%) | (2) Polemon 3/1, 33/1, caught the eye under an inexperienced rider when fifth of 11 in handicap at Newbury (11f, good to firm) 15 days ago, not knocked about. Eased another 2 lb and major player with Hollie Doyle back in the saddle now. 5yo maiden who ran respectably in better race at Newbury most recently; possibilities. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (28/1 +15%) Pure Gold |
28/1(+15%) | (3) Pure Gold 28/1, Fit from an outing over hurdles but ran poorly at Bath 16 days ago. Tough to make a case for. Scored on 2yo debut; regressive since, latterly for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (11/4 +21%) Fascinating Lips |
11/4(+21%) | (4) Fascinating Lips 11/4, Eleven runs since last win in 2022 but went close at Windsor in June. Respectable fourth of 7 in handicap at Brighton latest. Considered. Recent form is respectable; defied an 8lb higher mark on AW here in 2021 and 2022. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) (16/1 -45%) Make A Scene |
16/1(-45%) | (9) Make A Scene 16/1, Winner at Wolverhampton in February. Fourth of 5 in handicap at Brighton (1m, good to firm, 6/1) 8 days ago. Significantly up in trip. Campaigned mostly at about 1m; something to prove over this new trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (33/1 -175%) Timely Escape |
33/1(-175%) | (1) Timely Escape 33/1, Modest maiden for Charlie Hills last year. Blinkered on return for new yard. Best watched unless the betting hints otherwise. 0-6 last term for Charles Hills; sold for 7,000gns after final start; market helpful. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (20/1 +39%) Logistical |
20/1(+39%) | (7) Logistical 20/1, 80/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Kempton (11f) 28 days ago. Tongue strap back on. Others are more obvious. Has a doubt over current form and overall record is 0-20. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
POLEMON wasn't disgraced when he finished fifth at Newbury on his latest outing and the handicapper has given him a chance by dropping him 2lb for that performance. Archie Watson's five-year-old competes off a career-low mark and makes plenty of appeal with Hollie Doyle back on board. The main danger might be Fascinating Lips, who finished fourth at this level at Brighton last month and he could get closer off a 1lb lower mark, while Sun Dancer Girl can fight it out for the minor honours.
POLEMON shaped well at Newbury recently and is worth a chance to confirm that promise with Hollie Doyle back in the saddle now. Andrew Balding 3-y-o Sun Dancer Girl has some potential now tackling older horses for the first time and is second choice ahead of Fascinating Lips.
With her latest effort working out well, SUN DANCER GIRL appears to have leading claims. Inbetweenus is second choice.

1st (3) (3/1 -71%) Blue Zodiac |
3/1(-71%) | (3) Blue Zodiac 3/1, Much better than the bare result when sixth of 14 in maiden at this course (6f, good to firm, 6/1) on debut 12 days ago, faltering when headed final 1f. Surely capable of better. Only sixth on debut here over 6f but was clear at one stage and has ability. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (5) (5/6 +45%) Hettie Jack |
5/6(+45%) | (5) Hettie Jack 5/6, Won seller at Goodwood in June. 9/4, progressed again despite travelling in stark contrast when second of 3 in minor event at Ffos Las (5f, good) 17 days ago, edged out close home. Can regain the winning thread. Won a seller and then pushed a respected rival close on good to soft at Ffos Las. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (11/2 +0%) Moostar |
11/2(+0%) | (2) Moostar 11/2, Still green but again showed a bit of ability when seventh of 13 in maiden (12/1) at Goodwood (6f, good) 26 days ago, slowly away. Fair start but needs to step up and probably one for nurseries. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (12/1 +40%) Fly Liberty Fly |
12/1(+40%) | (4) Fly Liberty Fly 12/1, 12/1, went backwards from debut when fifth of 6 in minor event at Nottingham (6.1f, good) just under 4 weeks ago. Ran to a modest level on debut and was certainly no better at Nottingham. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (66/1 -32%) Ruby Rascal |
66/1(-32%) | (7) Ruby Rascal 66/1, Sent off huges prices and finished mid-field in a couple of maidens. Looks to be being brought along gradually with longer trips/handicaps in mind. Another runner who has made a quiet start (over 5f) and low-level handicaps are the future. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (18/1 -29%) Shadow On The Hill |
18/1(-29%) | (8) Shadow On The Hill 18/1, Foaled April 11. Due Diligence filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 6f-9f winner Day Shadow and 2-y-o 7f winner Best Secret, both in Italy. Dam, placed at 5f/6f, half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Above N Beyond. Well related but likely best watched as the only newcomer in the field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (125/1 +17%) Miss Campanella |
125/1(+17%) | (6) Miss Campanella 125/1, FInished tailed-off last in maiden/minor event. Tailed off in 5f races at Wolverhampton and Bath (good to soft); brings no form claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
HETTIE JACK escapes a penalty for winning a seller at Goodwood last month and has subsequently gone close on slow ground at Ffos Las. She may prove to be the one to side with based on that evidence. Blue Zodiac showed bags of early pace over 6f here on debut, so this shorter distance is expected to suit the Kodiac filly and she can figure if handling the underfoot conditions. Fly Liberty Fly ran well on soft going at Redcar on her introduction and makes most appeal of the rest.
HETTIE JACK went down narrowly at Ffos Las last month and Geroge Scott's filly has seemingly been found a good opportunity to double her tally. She can get the better of Blue Zodiac, who shaped much better than the bare result when sixth here on debut 12 days ago and is sure to have more to offer. Facoulty, who was very green on debut, can edge out Moostar for third spot.
Hettie Jack sets the standard but BLUE ZODIAC showed lots of speed here over 6f and this sharper test should be beneficial.

(7) (25/1 -25%)25/1(-25%) | (7) Tippy Top 25/1, Twice-raced filly. 14/1, third of 7 in maiden at Hamilton (5f, good) 13 days ago. That form is only modest so improvement will be needed. Has displayed ability on both starts but improvement is needed to win this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (10) (5/2 +17%) J Street |
5/2(+17%) | (10) J Street 5/2, Thrice-raced filly. Improved when close second in a seller at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) 27 days ago and the form has been boosted by the first and third winning since. Likely to be bang there. Has shown promise on two of her three starts and is a leading contender today. |

2nd (11) (13/2 +59%) Lunar Force |
13/2(+59%) | (11) Lunar Force 13/2, 50/1, promise amidst greenness when fourth of 8 in maiden at Carlisle (5f, good to firm) on debut 14 days ago, with the reopposing Kitten In The Sky narrowly ahead in third. Likely to improve. Fair 4th on recent debut at Carlisle and trainer's 2yos tend to need their debut outings. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
J STREET pulled readily clear of the third when finishing second to a useful prospect over 5f at Musselburgh last month, and this looks a good opportunity for her to atone for that near-miss. Desdemona retains plenty of potential after two placed efforts from as many starts and, fitted with a tongue-tie for the first time, it would be no surprise if she were to emerge as the main danger. Elisabet should be able to step up on her debut effort.
Quite an interesting race. KITTEN IN THE SKY has been a bit too exuberant for her own good so far but looks to possess lots of speed and this return to a sharp 5f will play to her strengths. Desdemona is another who looks very fast and is second choice ahead of J Street, whose Musselburgh selling second came in a strong race of its type.
With the form of her clear second in a Musselburgh seller looking strong, J STREET is taken to go one better. Lunar Force is feared

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Wannabe Brave failed to land the four-timer when he was beaten into third at Kempton on his latest outing, but he remains in great form and has to be respected off the same rating. However, the vote goes to WANNABEAWALLABY, who had Warmonger (third) in arrears when filling the runner-up spot behind a subsequent winner at Yarmouth last time and he can confirm that form to go one better.
WANNABEAWALLABY has some strong form for the level, notably his third at Beverley, and with the still longer trip expected to suit, he makes plenty of appeal. Warmonger and Wannabe Brave head the dangers.
Judged on the strength of his recent form, WANNABEAWALLABY (nap) looks poised to open his account. Warmonger is feared most.

Needs to take a big step forward. Handicaps were always going to be more like it and a tongue-tie is added; off since Jan. |

STINTINO SUNSET was beaten only a neck at Nottingham recently and another bold bid is expected from the four-year-old given that she's perfectly at home on soft going. Dibble Dabble arrives in fine fettle having won at Leicester before placing at the same track, while it was soft underfoot when Eljaytee finished third here a month ago and he's not out of this. Fillyfudge won a division of this race last year but that was on fast going off an 8lb lower mark.
STINTINO SUNSET signalled she's ready to gain a first success of 2024 when a very good Nottingham second last time out so gets the vote in this competitive handicap. Trackman heads the list of dangers on the back of his good Wolverhampton second, with in-form Dibble Dabble and last year's winner Fillyfudge also well in the mix.
A few with chances in this low-grade handicap and top of the list is DIBBLE DABBLE who will appreciate this return to softer ground.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
UNMISTAKEABLE shaped with plenty of promise when finishing fifth in a warm Thirsk maiden in May and, off what looks a workable mark on her nursery debut, she gets a tentative vote to open her account. Unthinkable showed enough in her time with George Boughey to suggest that she can play a hand in a race of this nature and she warrants respect on her handicap debut for the in-form Philip Kirby team. Deal Maker completes the shortlist.
Handicap-newcomer UNTHINKABLE could emerge as the chief player, with Unmistakeable appealing as the pick of the rest for minor honours.
The useful Breakable was a two-time Catterick winner for Tim Easterby and her third foal UNMISTAKEABLE earns the vote on nursery debut.

DOLCE VITTA wasn't disgraced behind the Group 1-entered Catalyse last time out and, although a well-held fifth that day, this drop in class presents the daughter of Cotai Glory with a solid chance of supplementing the Redcar novice win from her penultimate start. Sea Of Diamonds broke her maiden in a convincing manner at that same venue on her racecourse debut in May and is and has scope for improvement today. Ant Colony and well-bred debutant Power Of Twins complete the shortlist.
This could develop into a match between the previous winners and it's DOLCE VITTA who is selected to come out on top back in much calmer waters. Archie Watson's filly looked a useful prospect on debut, so she won't allow the selection to have it all her own way, with Kilpatrick Prince and Power of Twins seemingly best of the newcomers on paper. Rage of Thunder is another worthy of a mention, too.
This race features an interesting clash between the comfortable Redcar winners SEA OF DIAMONDS (preferred) and Dolce Vitta.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
God Of Fire recorded an all-the-way success at Beverley on Saturday and he merits respect under a penalty, but the vote goes to SHAHEEN SAQAAR. Ed Dunlop's gelding got up in the closing stages over 1m2f at Chelmsford last month. This longer trip could unlock further improvement and a 3lb rise for that victory looks fair. There were signs of promise from Beau French when he made a belated return to action at Goodwood last month, and he could step forward.
GOD OF FIRE looked a really uncomplicated ride when making his second start for his new yard a winning one at Beverley on Saturday and he holds sound follow-up claims under a penalty. The return to the AW is sure to suit Forge Valley Lad, while Bletchley Storm would have to command respect if taking up this engagement.
The vote goes to GOD OF FIRE who has a 5lb penalty for Saturday's Beverley win, but still looks to be on a fair mark.

9/4(+75%) | (4) Level Up 9/4, C&D winner. Fifth of 8 in handicap (14/1) at Haydock (5f, good) 6 days ago. Visor back on. Close third at Windsor (5f; apprentice rider dropped whip) on penultimate start; player. |

2nd (1) (4/1 -264%) Accrual |
4/1(-264%) | (1) Accrual 4/1, Promising type, winning 5f novices at Bath and Wolverhampton in recent weeks. Will be hard to beat under a penalty on handicap debut. Carries 6lb extra for last week's Wolverhampton win (5f); soft ground a slight risk-factor. |

3rd (2) (10/3 +17%) Angle Land |
10/3(+17%) | (2) Angle Land 10/3, Won 7-runner C&D handicap (good to firm) 12 days ago, just holding on. Should remain competitive after only a 2 lb nudge. All out over C&D (good to firm) a fortnight ago; handles soft; chance from 2lb higher. |

5th (3) (4/1 +27%) Agostino |
4/1(+27%) | (3) Agostino 4/1, Latest win at Chelmsford in April. Second of 6 in handicap (13/2) at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Turf maiden (0-10); was reeled in late at Lingfield (5f, good; 13-2) three-weeks ago. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ACCRUAL brings plenty of potential to handicaps after fairly bolting up over 5f at Wolverhampton earlier this month, and he gets the nod to give weight and a beating to his rivals on his debut in this sphere. Angle Land impressed with the way in which she went about her business when scoring gamely over C&D recently, and she merits the utmost respect upped 2lb. Watermelon Sugar is also noted.
ACCRUAL looks useful and should be up to giving the weight away to older and more exposed rivals. Agostino showed he's as good on turf as AW when second at Lingfield last time and can give the selection most to think about.
A tricky contest. Soft ground is a risk-factor for Accrual, so it could be worth chancing the attractively weighted LEVEL UP.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Lord Torranaga has won twice before at this venue and commands respect despite having yet to win beyond 1m6f on the Flat. The Navigator holds a similar profile and is noted stepping back up in trip after a close second over 1m5f at Hamilton last month. However, RORY THE CAT is best when on the front end and could be hard to reel in if allowed to dominate on just his third start after wind surgery.
FOND FAREWELL looks to start life for his new yard on a good mark so is taken to begin in style on his first go over 2m. Course-scorer The Navigator is feared most ahead of Sam Sarphati and Rory The Cat who should both benefit from stepping back up in trip.
There is much to like about The Navigator (second choice) but, with rain forecast, the vote goes to Lucinda Russell's RORY THE CAT.

7th (7) (150/1 -650%) Bluesy Moon |
150/1(-650%) | (7) Bluesy Moon 150/1, Has shown only poor form in her 3 qualifying runs, fourth of 9 in maiden at Brighton (6f, good to soft, 100/1) 43 days ago. Others preferred. Appeared to improve last time but the form isn't compelling. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
After showing promise in three qualifying runs, FOREVER MY PRINCE debuts in a handicap from a workable mark and can prove the assessor right in his assumption that she is the pick of this bunch at this stage. It is fair to say Miss Nifty, a winner on debut at Brighton last month, was outclassed when she was last in a Listen event at Newmarket most recently but, dropped in class, she could bounce back at this level. Yala rates the pick of the rest.
MISS NIFTY got the better of a next-time-out winner when making a successful debut at Brighton in June and, having been upped straight into listed company next time, she is taken to get back on track as she makes her nursery debut. Yala could also have more to offer now handicapping and is feared most, ahead of Forever My Prince.
The vote goes to solid contender BIG BUG, whose form has substance. Forever My Prince ties in with the selection.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The form of MISS EL FUNDI's debut fourth, which came over C&D, has worked out well in recent weeks. Connections elected to send the Sea The Stars filly to the Chesham last month where she was far from disgraced behind an impressive winner. Eased in both trip and class, she can record a breakthrough success. Stage Effect must shoulder a penalty having won at Haydock in May and she remains of interest, while Cristalino and debutant Savannah Grey are others to note.
SAVANNAH GREY must have breezed nicely given her sales price rocketed to 300,000 gns and in very capable hands with Buick booked, a winning debut would come as no surprise. Miss El Fundi has to command respect having performed with credit in the Chesham, while Stage Effect won at Haydock last time so is likely to be involved again.
Another chance is given to CRISTALINO who can show that the market confidence on her Nottingham debut wasn't misplaced.

100/1(-400%) | (3) Ephyra 100/1, 50/1 fifth of 10 in maiden at Newbury (7f, good to soft, 50/1) on debut. last July. Tongue tie added on rather belated return. Open to improvement. Off since Newbury debut a year ago and that wasn't devoid of promise. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MORROPHORE made an eye-catching start when finishing third on her debut over a mile at Newmarket last month, running green before staying on strongly when the penny dropped. With that experience under her belt, she is the one to side with for her in-form stable. Kinako Mochi has shown enough on her two starts so far to suggest that she can play a hand in a race of this nature and she merits the utmost respect donning a hood for the first time. The well-bred Imitate retains plenty of potential and shouldn't be underestimated.
MORROPHORE has the potential for significant improvement on the back of an encouraging Newmarket debut at the end of June and looks the one to beat. Kinako Mochi may not be the easiest to train judged on the gaps between her races but she's shown plenty of promise on AW and could be the one to give the selection most to do ahead of Tianita. Etmaari and Charlotte's Web are newcomers to monitor closely in the betting.
Preference is for MORROPHORE who smacked of a surefire future winner on her recent debut at Newmarket.

6th (9) (33/1 -65%) Kilbarry Jack |
33/1(-65%) | (9) Kilbarry Jack 33/1, Modest gelding. 33/1 and visored for 1st time, twelfth of 14 in handicap at Ballinrobe (9.7f, good) 16 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Regressive in handicaps, first-time visor having no effect latest; cheekpieces now tried. |

150/1(-127%) | (5) Vittorio Micheli 150/1, Twice-raced maiden. 250/1, thirteenth of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (8f). Off 7 months. Up in trip. Couple of ppor runs in AW maidens last November, easily passed over on return. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
On a mark of 73, SIGNOR FERRARI is the highest rated runner in the line-up and with Hugh Horgan claiming a valuable 5lb, he looks the one to beat. Last seen finishing seventh of eight in a valuable contest at the Curragh on Derby weekend, he should appreciate this significant drop in class. Formerly in the care of Aidan O'Brien and now with Denis Hogan, Latin is the second choice. He too was in action at the Curragh on Derby weekend, finishing eighth of 21 in the race won by Lord Church, with subsequent Tipperary winner Blue Soul in behind. Chou Chou was a never nearer fourth at Bellewstown on Friday and steps up in trip now, while Moutarde and Guest Star are others of note.
SIGNOR FERRARI is in better form than his recent form figures suggest and looks the one to beat on these terms. Tartaraghan, Moutarde and Latin are others to consider.
SIGNOR FERRARI has to bounce back from a couple of underwhelming handicap runs but his earlier C&D second gives him major claims

1st (1) (7/2 +30%) Zainabb |
7/2(+30%) | (1) Zainabb 7/2, 11/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 42 days ago. Should get back on track and she's still not fully exposed. Southwell form of two runs back has worked out well; this is easier; may not want rain. |

2nd (3) (10/3 -11%) Puella Law |
10/3(-11%) | (3) Puella Law 10/3, 1 win from 3 runs this year. Winner at Beverley in May. Fifth of 7 in handicap (5/2) at Beverley (8.4f, good to soft) 22 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Still one to have in mind. Holding form at Beverley this year win or lose; will mind the rain less than some here. |

3rd (2) (12/1 -433%) Heartwarmer |
12/1(-433%) | (2) Heartwarmer 12/1, Lightly-raced winner. Seventh of 10 in handicap at Newbury (8f, good to firm, 5/2) 27 days ago. Hood on 1st time. Looked promising prior to latest effort and she's worth a chance to get back on the up. Has sufficient quality to get back on track following a relative flop latest; hood goes on. |

4th (9) (5/1 -11%) Without Flaw |
5/1(-11%) | (9) Without Flaw 5/1, 11/1, creditable fourth of 12 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Should give another good account. Won't mind rain, but doesn't quite see out 7f; surprising if nothing stays on stronger. |

5th (6) (12/1 -33%) Kindest Nation |
12/1(-33%) | (6) Kindest Nation 12/1, Winner at Southwell in March. Seventh of 8 in handicap at Newmarket (8f, good to firm, 12/1) 19 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Not dismissed. 7f Tapeta winner but weakening efforts at that trip and 1m most recently; headgear added. |

6th (7) (50/1 -257%) Leveret |
50/1(-257%) | (7) Leveret 50/1, 3/1, last of 6 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f). Off 176 days. Makes turf debut. Something to prove at present. Should take to turf, but does need to settle better if she's to cash in on her lowest mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (66/1 -164%) Hiya Honey |
66/1(-164%) | (5) Hiya Honey 66/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 10 in handicap (33/1) at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Others are more persuasive. Well treated on her sole piece of creditable form (7f, soft; RPR 79); all rain welcome. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Without Flaw has performed well in defeat lately and, from the foot of the handicap, she's respected given her recent form has a solid look. Zainabb has faced stiffer tests and also rates a key player dropped in class. Nevertheless, Beverley maiden winner PUELLA LAW is open to further progression and could be worth siding with on these terms with the drop back in trip likely to suit.
HEARTWARMER was shaping up well prior to her latest effort at Newbury and, up against more exposed types, she's fancied to prove herself better than a mark of 75. Without Flaw should give her running again and Puella Law is another one likely to put a poor effort behind her.
Significant rain would not inconvenience Heartwarmer or especially PUELLA LAW (nap), and they're favoured in reverse order.

7/1(-133%) | (3) Mc Loven 7/1, Successful twice in 2023. Has finished runner-up on 3 of his last 4 starts, edged out only close home in 3-runner handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 9/4) 11 days ago. Can make another bold bid. 0-8 on turf but is knocking at the door; short-head second over C&D most recently. |

2nd (1) (6/4 -36%) Nazron |
6/4(-36%) | (1) Nazron 6/4, Off the mark at this venue (AW) on final start last year and shaped well after 8 months off when second of 8 in handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm, 2/1) 18 days ago. The one to beat with his recent run behind him. Consistent; ran creditably at Redcar on reappearance; solid chance off same mark. |

3rd (5) (6/1 +14%) Kiss And Run |
6/1(+14%) | (5) Kiss And Run 6/1, Doubled her tally when scoring at Windsor in June, but wasn't in the same form only 4 days later when last of 4 in handicap at Goodwood (5f, good, 7/2) 19 days ago. Not discounted. Latest run (below par) possibly came too soon after her Windsor success. |

100/1(-2400%) | (2) Tsunami Spirit 100/1, Winner at Kempton last year and bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts when close third of 6 in handicap (4/1) at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 9 days ago. Enters calculations. Close third off this mark at Wolverhampton last week when returned to AW. |

5th (4) (100/1 -809%) Mary Of Modena |
100/1(-809%) | (4) Mary Of Modena 100/1, Course winner. Ran well when second at Windsor on return, but shaped as if amiss when thirteenth of 14 in handicap at Sandown (5f, good to firm, 28/1) 26 days ago. Bounce back called for. Suited by slow ground; 5yo mare who looks far more exposed than her 3yo rivals. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
A C&D maiden winner on his final start as a juvenile, NAZRON returned to action after being gelded with a respectable second-placed finish to a match-fit opponent at Redcar last month and, off the same mark, the son of Dark Angel can go one better here. The consistent Mc Loven keeps threatening to win another race and is again a must for consideration, while Tsunami Spirit and Kiss And Run are no back numbers in what appears a competitive handicap despite the lack of numbers.
NAZRON made an encouraging return from 8 months off when runner-up at Redcar 18 days ago, showing good speed before his absence seemed to tell, so he can build on that effort to resume winning ways. The main danger could be Mc Loven, who did little wrong when second at this C&D last time, with Tsunami Spirit also capable of getting involved.
Topweight NAZRON has a solid record and looks set to build on his Redcar reappearance effort. Mc Loven is feared most.

Unsuited by the emphasis on speed when second under a penalty at Newmarket and step up in trip should suit. Won on Newbury debut and ran well when just beaten second time; longer trip should suit. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.
RHETORICAL made the perfect start to his career when winning at Newbury in May and, despite finishing second under a penalty at Newmarket last month, there was clear progression. A step up in trip will likely suit William Haggas' colt, who holds an entry in the Great Voltigeur at York. Salisbury scorer Master Builder can give another good account of himself, while Mutaawid might step forward now fitted with first-time blinkers.
RHETORICAL wasn't seen to best effect at Newmarket last month and remains a useful prospect up in trip, so can resume winning ways at the main expense of fellow penalised-winners Master Builder and Arabian Tribe.
Preference is for RHETORICAL who has shown useful form in both starts on turf and who should be suited by stepping up in trip.

66/1(-371%) | (11) Boasted 66/1, Good fifth of 15 in handicap (22/1) at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) 32 days ago, nearest finish. One for the shortlist. Kept on to be fifth of 15 at Lingfield (7f) last time but she's a 14-race maiden. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
ANIF (first) got the better of Alexander James (second) when the pair met over C&D last month and, though the latter is marginally better off at the weights, the former was well on top at the finish on that occasion, so he gets the vote once more. Respectable Jack lost little in defeat when finishing fourth after enduring a troubled passage over 7f at Wolverhampton recently, and he merits consideration on his handicap debut.
A tight-knit handicap in which BONAVENTURE edges the vote on the back of his encouraging Nottingham fourth with this return to a longer trip looking a big plus. Moreginplease is weighted to go well and next on the list, although a solid case can also be made for the likes of Anif, The Spotlight Kid, Respectable Jack and Boasted.
It might be worth giving another chance to GLAM SQUAD, who capitulated after a positive ride on his handicap debut.

33/1(-1100%) | (4) Kingwood Queen 33/1, Upped her game when opening account in 6-runner handicap at Bath (5.7f, firm, 15/2) 16 days ago, always holding on. 4 lb rise fair and should go well again. Off the mark when making all at Bath and a 4lb rise looks fair; respected. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Fidelius justified his place in the market when making every yard of the running at Wolverhampton last time and he should remain competitive, despite having a 6lb penalty back on turf. However, the vote goes to KINGWOOD QUEEN, who went in by a length on only her second handicap start last month and the handicapper may have been kind to put her up just 4lb for that triumph. Johnny Johnson is another to note under Oisin Murphy.
Clearly suited by the reapplication of headgear, MACANUDO posted his best effort for some time at Newbury last week and remains fairly treated. He can return to winning ways. Recent scorers Fidelius and Kingwood Queen are the obvious dangers.
Recent Bath winner KINGWOOD QUEEN is open to more progress in sprint handicaps and she gets the vote ahead of Fidelius.

1st (1) (13/2 -86%) Black Forza |
13/2(-86%) | (1) Black Forza 13/2, Promising type. Fifth of 14 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, good to soft, 9/1) on debut 11 days ago. Open to progress and worthy of consideration. Debut promise 11 days ago; drops in trip and could well play a major role. |

2nd (5) (6/4 +14%) Rudi's Apple |
6/4(+14%) | (5) Rudi's Apple 6/4, Promising sort. 4½ lengths sixth of 27 to Ain't Nobody in listed Windsor Castle Stakes (50/1) at Royal Ascot (5f, firm) 21 days ago. Sets the standard with the potential for better, so he's clearly the one to beat. Windsor Castle sixth should appreciate extra furlong here; major chance. |

18/1(-80%) | (2) Gannas 18/1, Foaled February 14. 45,000 gns yearling, €40,000 2-y-o, Harry Angel colt. Dam 2-y-o 5f winner. Bred to have plenty of pace and represents a top stable, so not without hope on debut. 40,000euros breeze-up buy; speedily-bred newcomer, market likely best guide. |

Concerning that he's now tried in different headgear again on just his third run, but he can't be written off. Too keen in blinkers at the Curragh; visored now, remains potential improver if settling. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
One of two Joseph O'Brien-trained contenders in the line-up, RUDI'S APPLE is the standout name as he steps up in trip to 6f for the first time. A solid third on debut at Tipperary, the No Nay Never chestnut was the best of the Irish contingent when a fine sixth of 27 in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. Black Forza ran a nice race when fifth on debut at the Curragh recently and with that experience under his belt, he should get closer now. A 240,000-pound yearling purchase, Snapdragon is tried in a first time visor and could step forward from his initial efforts. Zambales was a solid fourth on debut at the Curragh last month and it'll be interesting to see how he fares in first time blinkers, while newcomers Crystalaire and Gannas are others of note.
RUDI'S APPLE's sixth in the Windsor Castle is clearly the best piece of form on show and it's unlikely that he's reached his limit, so he gets the nod over Black Forza, who should step forward from an encouraging debut. Gannas, a stablemate of the selection, is the pick of the newcomers.
A decent maiden in which Windsor Castle sixth RUDI'S APPLE (nap) is taken to get off the mark, this extra furlong likely to suit

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
PROFITEER has thrived since being gelded/contesting handicaps and, having won doggedly at Thirsk last month, there could be a lot more to come from the Tim Easterby-trained son of Profitable now he has proven himself to be effective over this trip. From the bottom of the handicap, Calafrio rates the chief danger returning to this distance after two near misses in 6f sprints, while Sir Garfield and Arlington, who sports first-time cheekpieces, are others to consider.
PROFITEER upped his game and showed a good attitude to score at Thirsk last time so, for all that he's faced with softer conditions, he's capable of going in again at the possible expense of Calafrio, who ran well in the first division of that race. The Bobster is one to keep an eye on in the betting switched to handicaps for the first time.
The form book suggests that the pair to concentrate on are Profiteer and CALAFRIO. Phil Kirby's filly receives a narrow vote.

5/1(+55%) | (1) Robusto 5/1, Sixth of 7 in handicap at Goodwood (12f, good, 10/1) 19 days ago. Shapes like this longer trip will be in his favour, so likely to get back on track. Still 4lb above his last winning mark and attempts this far for the first time. |

12/1(-200%) | (3) Banderas 12/1, Tenth of 15 in handicap at Thirsk (14f, good, 15/2) 24 days ago, not seeing race out but shaping as if still in form. Drops in grade now and deserves respect. Regressed since reappearing; needs longer trip and return to AW to get him back on track. |

7th (6) (100/1 -1011%) Motazzen |
100/1(-1011%) | (6) Motazzen 100/1, Creditable third of 7 in handicap (22/1) at this C&D 35 days ago. Well treated if he can build on that, but he's not guaranteed to do so. 1lb below last winning mark, but something to find with Moel Arthur on latest C&D running. |

8th (8) (100/1 -614%) Solution |
100/1(-614%) | (8) Solution 100/1, C&D winner. Below form sixth of 11 in novice hurdle at Worcester (16f, good, 28/1) 21 days ago. Should benefit from the return to this sphere and he's still not fully exposed. Won twice over 2m on Polytrack in August/September last year, including here; poor since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (100/1 -1718%) Swinging London |
100/1(-1718%) | (9) Swinging London 100/1, Below form sixth of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (14f, good, 11/2) 38 days ago. That was a rare poor effort and he's expected to be back to form. Just 1-29 under rules (0-15 on the Flat); enough to prove on Polytrack debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
MOEL ARTHUR was unsuited by the way the race developed when finishing a running-on second behind an all-the-way winner over C&D last month and, off an unchanged mark sporting cheekpieces for the first time, a bold bid is anticipated. Banderas has the ability to play a hand in a race of this nature, though inconsistency continues to be the main concern with him. Similar comments apply Clan Chieftain, who performed inexplicably poorly over 2m at Chester latest but might bounce back for the in-form Ralph Beckett yard.
MOEL ARTHUR is bang in form and was clear of the others when second over C&D last time, so he's fancied to go one better with cheekpieces on for the first time. Banderas is a danger dropping in grade and Robusto should benefit from the step up in trip, so he's another one to consider.
Preference is for MOEL ARTHUR whose record over C&D reads 3242 and is off the same mark as when runner-up here last time.

Very likely to give it another good go back over 5f. Form figures of 33132 since April and was only just caught at Windsor latest; key player. |

4th (5) (18/1 -29%) Redshore City |
18/1(-29%) | (5) Redshore City 18/1, One win from 23 Flat runs. 16/1, first run since leaving Miss Natalia Lupini when fifth of 7 in minor event at this course (6f, good) 14 days ago, slowly away. May not have the pace for 5f. Record of 1-23 and he's not easy to predict; looks opposable back at this trip. |

10/1(-43%) | (3) Papabella 10/1, Still looking for first win and last of 10 in handicap at Bath (5.7f, good) 47 days ago. That was her reappearance and yard going much better now, so better definitely expected. Inconsistent eight-race maiden who was last of ten on her Bath reappearance in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (25/1 -456%) Brandy Station |
25/1(-456%) | (4) Brandy Station 25/1, Doesn't run on turf that often but he's a multiple C&D winner, adding to tally on reappearance here 17 days ago. Had the run of the race on that occasion and more to do back in a handicap. Landed a gamble with emphatic win over C&D on his return last month; respected up 6lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (25/1 -651%) Some Nightmare |
25/1(-651%) | (1) Some Nightmare 25/1, C&D winner. Fifteen runs since last win in 2022. 5/1, respectable third of 7 in minor event at this course (6f, good) 14 days ago. Blinkers back on and he's been given every chance by the assessor. On dangerous mark and was a fair third here (6f) last time; not ruled out back in trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Brandy Station returned from a 257-day break to comfortably take a classified event over track and trip recently and it would be foolish to dismiss him on his return to the handicap ranks. However, BAMA LAMA has been really consistent of late, hitting the frame on each of her last five starts, and she can be rewarded for her fine form on this occasion. Some Nightmare is another to keep an eye on after his third over 6f here last time.
It might be worth siding with SOME NIGHTMARE, a previous C&D winner who normally contests stronger handicaps than this. Papabella represents a yard going much better now so she'll surely come on plenty for her low-key reappearance, with Bama Lama likely to give it another good shot.
Bama Lama is respected but preference is for BRANDY STATION, who made it 3-5 here with his emphatic win over C&D last month.

2nd (3) (Evens +17%) Sixpack |
Evens(+17%) | (3) Sixpack Evens, Fairly useful gelding. 2 wins from 5 runs this year. 7/2, career best when winning 18-runner handicap at this C&D (good) 26 days ago. Anothe bold showing is likely with cheekpieces added in his hat-trick bid. Backed up 1m4f Roscommon win with C&D success, faces rematch with sixth-placed Extensio. |

3rd (5) (4/1 +67%) Sioux Eagle |
4/1(+67%) | (5) Sioux Eagle 4/1, Fair gelding. 6/1, good third of 11 in handicap at Gowran (14f, good) 23 days ago. Firmly in the picture. Placed for the first time in a handicap over this trip at Gowran, needs to find a bit more. |

4th (1) (16/1 -482%) Baltic Bird |
16/1(-482%) | (1) Baltic Bird 16/1, Fairly useful gelding. 11/4, below form fourth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (24.4f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Hood on 1st time on the Flat (on when winning over jumps) so not dismissed. In action over hurdles lately, handicap winner on penultimate start, suited by good ground. |

5th (4) (18/1 -200%) Banana Three |
18/1(-200%) | (4) Banana Three 18/1, Fairly useful gelding. Last of 7 in handicap at Chelmsford City (13.3f, 11/2) 90 days ago. Cheekpieces back on with work to do. Useful form at Dundalk, limited turf experience but ground should be in his favour. |

6th (6) (200/1 -203%) Tenth Amendment |
200/1(-203%) | (6) Tenth Amendment 200/1, Modest gelding. Thirty seven runs since last win in 2018. Eighth of 14 in handicap (50/1) at Navan (13f, good) 53 days ago, slowly away. Very hard to make a case for. Has won only once from 50 starts on the Flat, not favoured by the race conditions. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
The top three look the ones to focus on here, with the hat-trick seeking SIXPACK difficult to oppose. The Sea The Moon four-year-old has really improved for a step-up in trip, winning at Roscommon in May before following up over the course and distance on his most recent start. Interestingly, he is tried in cheekpieces for the first time now and can continue on his upward trajectory. Baltic Bird is the highest rated runner in the line-up and returns to the level for the first time in just over a year. Since twice successful over flights, the Frankel bay is likely to be involved towards the business end. Returning from a break, Extensio was over six-lengths behind the selection last month, but should get closer now with that effort under his belt.
SIXPACK remains unexposed as a stayer and appeals as the pick of these weights so is fancied to follow up his recent C&D success and complete a hat-trick. Sioux Eagle appeals as the one to chase home Johnny Murtagh's improver aheaad of Extensio and Baltic Bird.
Sixth over C&D on her seasonal debut, EXTENSIO has a realistic chance of turning the tables on the progressive winner Sixpack.

40/1(-100%) | (9) Solo Solataire 40/1, 20/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at Leicester (8.2f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Not easy to make a case for. Unexciting maiden form in the US; first two starts over here weren't all that conclusive. |

40/1(-60%) | (10) Poles Apart 40/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 17/2, last of 9 in handicap at Chepstow (8.1f, good) 40 days ago. Gone the wrong way since debut, but perhaps the return to 1m on Polytrack will help. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Never Mind Me looks to hold sound claims on the strength of his second off a 1lb lower mark over 7f at Chelmsford on his penultimate start but, after a low key effort most recently, there is a question mark over him and it may pay to side with ATLANTIC GAMBLE. William Knight's charge was the subject of market support when dead-heating at Wolverhampton last month, but he wouldn't have had to share the gold medal if granted a clearer passage on that occasion. Tambourine Dream completes the shortlist on her handicap debut.
ATLANTIC GAMBLE is thriving currently and is fancied to complete the 4-timer under a penalty. Never Mind Me is worth another chance to confirm the form of his handicap debut second at Chelmsford, while Icecap is open to improvement now handicapping.
A step up to 1m on Polytrack looks well worth a go with NEVER MIND ME, who is taken to deny Atlantic Gamble the four-timer.

Shapes as though worth a try over this trip. Won at Windsor on his penultimate run and has claims if he copes with this new trip. |

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
BAILEYS WARRIOR finished clear of the third when filling the runner-up spot in this grade at Wolverhampton earlier in the month and she competes off the same mark here. The booking of Oisin Murphy catches the eye and she could prove hard to beat on her return to turf. Hiccups was third over 1m3f at Carlisle on his latest outing and he looks an interesting contender on his first attempt at this trip, while Mujid is another to take seriously.
BAILEYS WARRIOR hasn't raced on turf since 2021 but she arrives in excellent order and the booking of Oisin Murphy adds further lustre to her claims. Mujid is pretty reliable at this level, while Anna of Saxony could be the potential improver now handicapping up in trip.
Preference is for BAILEYS WARRIOR, who was a clear second at Wolverhampton last week and is a big player if she can repeat that form.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
A competitive affair, with just 7lb between nine of them on ratings. Dancing Tango, one of three Joseph O'Brien-trained representatives, leads the way on a mark of 103 and with Dylan Browne McMonagle aboard, she appears the leading hope from Owning Hill. Despite disappointing at Cork last time, her stable companion Thunder Roll also warrants respect in first time cheekpieces. Jessica Harrington is another to saddle three, with Shane Foley opting to partner Munster Oaks runner-up Trevaunance. For a selection, MAGICAL ZOE gets the nod. A fine fifth on her Flat debut at Cork in April, she since comfortably justified favouritism at Down Royal and will be suited by this step up in trip. Lily Hart and Grateful are interesting contenders for Aidan O'Brien. Both get a weight allowance on account of their age, with the former impressing when successful on her most recent start.
MAGICAL ZOE has already showed her class as a hurdler and, having eased clear to score with loads in hand in a Down Royal maiden, she's worth chancing upped in grade. Dancing Tango sets the standard and looks a major player, while Countess of Tyrone should go well again.
Though yet to prove beyond doubt that she can recapture the high-class form she showed two seasons ago, TREVAUNANCE gets the vote

Drops in trip for handicap debut and has a lowly mark for one that fetched a hefty sum as a yearling. Particularly poor on Polytrack latest and mark is no gift, but drop from 1m4f can help. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Salamanca Lad made all over 1m at Leicester last month with enough in hand to suggest he can defy a 3lb rise, but he is 0-4 on the all-weather and preference is for CHERRY HILL. A winner at this venue last September, she was doing her best work at the finish when third over 7f off 1lb higher here last time out and it looks the right time to step her back up to a mile. Twilight Vision and Overture are making their handicap debuts after three qualifying runs and they warrant respect, especially if the market vibes are positive.
OVERTURE is out of a very useful mare and related to a winner at the top level, so there's every chance a mark of 63 will underplay her capabilities and she's worth a chance to make a winning handicap debut up in trip. Twilight Vision is another one that's likely to be better than her opening mark, so she's feared along with last-time-out winner Salamanca Lad.
Group 1 success in the family at 1m piques interest in OVERTURE on this handicap debut, with Imola the next preferred.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
CITY ESCAPE recorded a double over this C&D last autumn and can race off a 6lb lower mark than when last successful. A recent third at Wolverhampton suggests a return to winning ways is imminent, and she's preferred to Jimmy Mark. The latter scored here a fortnight ago and should go well again despite a 4lb rise, while Dappled Light could also figure if staying this extra distance having won a classified race over a mile at this venue when last seen.
CITY ESCAPE went close off this mark at Wolverhampton recently and looks ready to strike with Oisin Murphy an eye-catching booking. Alyara bounced back to form returned to this trip when just denied at Bath last week and is next best ahead of recent course winners Dappled Light and Jimmy Mark.
The vote goes to CITY ESCAPE (nap), who went close at Wolverhampton ten days ago and now returns to the scene of her last two wins.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
MONASTERBOICE was a close third to Zaynab in a heavy ground maiden at the Curragh this spring and the Noel Meade-trained gelding showed he's equally effective on a sounder surface when second over this trip at Limerick last time. Artful Approach is another consistent sort and drops in trip here, while No Knee Never and Four Blondes are others to consider. John Steinbeck is bred in the purple being by Dubawi and out of a Group 3-winning sister to a number of Group 1 winners, while Eshnunna is another newcomer to note.
A big-field maiden in which not all that many make appeal and MONASTERBOICE is taken to open his account after a fine run at Limerick. John Steinbeck, Leaders Listen and Eshnunna are interesting newcomers for top yards.
The bar is set relatively low for the superbly-bred JOHN STEINBECK who was ready to run at the Irish Derby fixture.

9/2(+10%) | (5) Unsung Hero 9/2, Course winner who turned in best effort of season, in first-time visor, when third of 5 in handicap at Haydock (7f, good to firm) 5 days ago. Claims if building on that. Two 7f wins here in September 2022; inconsistent since; others look safer. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
UZINCSO just ran out of gas late on when a close second off 2lb lower over 1m2f at Lingfield last time and, now returned to a winning C&D, Like Morris' mount has a good chance to go one better. King Of Ithaca and Unsung Hero have slipped to feasible-looking marks and they could have a say at the finish, while Kevin Philippart De Foy won a division of this race in 2022 and his Covert Mission is respected.
Preference is for UZINCSO, who posted his best effort for some time at Lingfield last month and goes particularly well here. Distinction and Unsung Hero can also make their presence felt.
Having run well at Lingfield last month, UZINCSO may be able to end his losing run under his optimum conditions.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
AMPHIUS stands out on his second at Doncaster in May, where Harry Charlton's colt found only Indelible, a subsequent runner-up in Listed company, too good and that looks strong form in this context. Prophet's Path made a moderate debut at Newmarket but improvement is expected from him, while the likes of Sugar Road, Blue Jade and the selection's stable companion Arolla are all newcomers to note.
AMPHIUS backed up his encouraging debut effort with a good second at Doncaster in May and remains with potential. He can get off the mark. The main danger may come from one of the newcomers, with Arolla and Blue Jade of particular interest.
Harry Charlton's AMPHIUS sets a high standard on his close second at Doncaster in May and should be hard to beat.

9/2(+0%) | (9) Universally 9/2, Career best when winning 6-runner handicap (13/2) at this course (6f, good) 26 days ago by length from Tawaazon, despite being very slowly away. Can't afford to give that ground away again in a better race. Recent 6f winner here worth another shot at this longer trip off only 3lb higher. |

14/1(+58%) | (4) Bellaphina 14/1, Respectable tenth of 22 in handicap at the Curragh (6f, good to soft, 50/1). Off 10 months and must improve to defy current mark but she did win on last season's reappearance. Stiff tasks back at 6f final two starts last term; opposable on seasonal return. |

7th (1) (5/1 +38%) Emporio |
5/1(+38%) | (1) Emporio 5/1, 8/1, twenty-first of 27 in handicap at the Curragh (8f, heavy). Off 15 months. First run for yard after leaving Donnacha Aidan O'Brien. 8th (5) (7/2 +22%) Lexington Dash |
7/2(+22%) | (5) Lexington Dash 7/2, C&D winner. Good third of 8 in handicap at this C&D (good, 25/1) 33 days ago, sure to have finished closer with a clear run. Major claims from same mark. Won this in 2022, third last year and recent C&D comeback run gives him major claims. |

9th (2) (33/1 -65%) San Andreas |
33/1(-65%) | (2) San Andreas 33/1, 100/1, 21¾ lengths last of 6 to Yosemite Valley in Gladness Stakes at the Curragh (7f, heavy) 80 days ago and has a fair amount to prove at present. Better AW performer but C&D winner; won't want too much rain. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
VERHOYEN arrives here in good form and gets the vote to record an eighth career win. The Michael Grassick-trained gelding had Lexington Dash two lengths behind when runner-up over C&D last month and subsequently only ran out of steam in the closing stages when third in a valuable mile handicap at the Curragh on Irish Derby day. Daamberdiplomat has gained both wins over 6f and wasn't beaten far last time in a valuable handicap at Lingfield on Good Friday. Universally beat Tawaazon here last month and is still reasonably treated.
Plenty to consider with LEXINGTON DASH just about the most persuasive option having shaped well from his career-low mark over C&D a month ago. Mercurial was better than ever at the Curragh so demands consideration, while it will be interesting to see what the market makes od Emporio.
If the ground doesn't soften appreciably then perhaps LEXINGINGTON DASH can record a second win in this race

Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Makes limited appeal. Promise in a couple of Polytrack novices in April but modest on turf since; cheekpieces on. |

7th (6) (100/1 -400%) Agent Mayfair |
100/1(-400%) | (6) Agent Mayfair 100/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 10 in handicap at this course (7f, 80/1) 35 days ago. Tough to assess at present. Runner-up in one start early last year, but regressive in three outings since returning. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
After making all in good style off 1lb lower over this C&D, KYNSA wasn't disgraced when fourth at Newmarket last month and that form has been boosted by the winner scoring again since. Representing an in-form yard which landed a division of this race two years ago, she is fancied to double her track-and-trip win tally, possibly at the main expense of Chindwin. The latter arrives on the back of a victory over the extended 1m at Wolverhampton but that was 91 days ago and he has gone up 3lb since. Completing the shortlist is Classic Speed, who also won here on his penultimate outing.
CHINDWIN took advantage of a significant drop in the weights when making a successful debut for James Owen at Wolverhampton in April and remains feasibly treated. He can score again. Kynsa and Classic Speed are feared most.
The vote goes to CHINDWIN (nap) who made a successful stable debut at Wolverhampton in April. He may still have more to offer.

1st (3) (10/3 +17%) Imperial Express |
10/3(+17%) | (3) Imperial Express 10/3, 9/1, good third of 7 in handicap at Sandown (8f, soft) 25 days ago. Needs considering down in class. Seven-race maiden; drops in grade off a sliding mark but she needs to raise her game. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (33/1 -725%) King's Scholar |
33/1(-725%) | (2) King's Scholar 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 5/2, fifth of 13 in maiden at Leicester (8.2f, good to soft) 36 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Disappointing at Leicester last time and he needs to kick on again on this handicap debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (350/1 -15456%) Worrals |
350/1(-15456%) | (1) Worrals 350/1, Lightly-raced winner. Winner at Goodwood in May. Good second of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW, 16/5) 20 days ago although went with little fluency. Back in trip. Goodwood winner who chased home a handicap blot on AW last time; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (100/1 -3536%) Calm Waters |
100/1(-3536%) | (4) Calm Waters 100/1, 2 wins from 4 runs this year. 11/2 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, career best when winning 7-runner handicap at this C&D (good) 14 days ago, comfortably on top at the line. Must be respected. Made it 2-4 in handicaps with a comfortable success over C&D last month; big player again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (350/1 -6264%) Cogsworth |
350/1(-6264%) | (5) Cogsworth 350/1, Latest win at Brighton in May. Fourth of 6 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good to firm, 5/2) 8 days ago. One to consider. Held in hat-trick bid latest but this new trip looks worth exploring; not ruled out. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
WORRALS finished second when upped to 1m2f at Lingfield, but failed to threaten winner on that occasion and Ralph Beckett's filly will appreciate this return to a mile. Calm Waters has won two of her last three starts, having scored over C&D a fortnight ago, and she can make her presence felt once again despite a further 5lb rise. King's Scholar is worth noting on his handicap bow, but both Cogsworth and Imperial Express have something to prove off their current marks.
All 5 need considering with IMPERIAL EXPRESS shading the vote down in class. Calm Waters resumed winning ways with a bit in hand over C&D 2 weeks ago and is next best.
Top of the list is CALM WATERS, who made it 2-4 in handicaps with her comfortable success over C&D two weeks ago.

8/1(-60%) | (3) Navorrosse 8/1, Returned to form when second of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (7.2f, good to soft) 27 days ago, better placed than most. Claims if building on that. Recent Leopardstown second up 4lb so tougher task here. |

8th (8) (6/1 +33%) Royal Tribute |
6/1(+33%) | (8) Royal Tribute 6/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. Eighth of 16 in handicap at Limerick (7f, good to firm, 50/1) 28 days ago. Others more appealing. Midfield finishes both turf runs this year so needs to take a fair step forward here. |

First run for yard after leaving Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Makes handicap debut. Modest 2yo form for Joseph O'Brien, hard to see her making immediate impact for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
17th (13) (50/1 -52%) Corballis Flyer |
50/1(-52%) | (13) Corballis Flyer 50/1, Nineteen runs since last win in 2022. 50/1, last of 14 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good) 23 days ago. Best watched. Over two years without a win and last month's seasonal comeback run none too encouraging. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's race.
NAVORROSSE has won twice over this trip and ran a cracker at Leopardstown last time, when finishing second in a 15-runner handicap. The mare appears to have been found a good opportunity to add to her tally. Gosford overcame some trouble in running to score at Roscommon last week and James Ryan's 5lb claim will help alleviate most of the 6lb rise for that win. Below Deck showed improved form when runner-up at Leopardstown last month, while Tall Story is another to consider off a lowly mark.
Preference is for GOSFORD, who got back to winning ways at Roscommon last week and remains fairly treated on old form. Navorrosse and Below Deck head the list of dangers.
Perhaps best to stick with top-weight and last week's Roscommon winner GOSFORD with a talented claimer aboard
Ths is the racecard key.
