(1) Admiral Nelson 4/1, 10/1, bit below form eighth of 13 in handicap at Redcar (8f, good to firm) 2 days ago. Still, he would have a real chance in this company if he were to put his best foot forward.

13:55 Thirsk Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ODD SOCKS HAVANA may still be improving judged on his second-placed finish over the extended 1m at Wolverhampton earlier in the month, when only held by three-quarters of a length despite not getting a clear run when making his late challenge. With a victory on good ground on his CV, the Rebecca Menzies-trained gelding can gain swift compensation as he returns to turf off the same mark as last time. Ivasecret also switches back to grass and is well treated in relation to his all-weather rating, while Island Of Skye is beginning to look feasibly treated again.

ISLAND OF SKYE failed to fire at Southwell when last seen in January but he proved pretty consistent last year and is taken to make a winning start for new connections here. Next on the list is Odd Socks Havana, who has been in good heart of late. Though below par at Redcar on Saturday, Admiral Nelson could also have a part to play if turned out again quickly.

This could be slowly run. ODD SOCKS HAVANA seems tactically versatile and in better form than most.

14:10 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

RED CLOUD finished just over three lengths clear of the third when hitting the crossbar over a mile at Brighton last time and this step up in trip looks a good move. Gary & Josh Moore's three-year-old goes off a 1lb higher mark and he could prove very tough to beat. The main danger is Checkmeout, who ran a lot better when sixth at Windsor earlier in the month and could get closer off a 2lb lower rating, while Quickfire may appreciate this slight drop in trip.

RED CLOUD stands out as an in-form sort in this line-up and should prove hard to beat. Roger Varian's Checkmeout can chase him home.

The dam's side of RED CLOUD's pedigree gives hope he'll be fine with the step up from 1m and he's unlikely to be found a better chance.

14:25 Thirsk Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Despite the winner not being all out at the finish, FAYQA's neck second to Native Warrior at Nottingham last month reads very well in the context of this race after the winner finished third in the Britannia at Royal Ascot. Kevin Philippart De Foy's filly could take another step forward and she is preferred to Eranthis, who showed promise on debut but has failed to back that up in two subsequent starts. Star Of Kilfrush could be better after a break.

FAYQA stands out on form having pulled clear of the rest when second at Nottingham last month, the winner that day advertising the form since. Eranthis looks the one for the forecast.

This looks good for FAYQA whose close second at Nottingham last time was boosted by the winner at Royal Ascot on Thursday.

14:45 Chepstow Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ribba Hill struck by a head over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle on his debut last month and he could have more to offer, but this will be tough shouldering a 7lb penalty and PACK ICE is preferred. Ollie Pears' filly took a step forward from her first start when denied by two lengths into second at Redcar last time and, with further progression likely, she could be the one to beat. Guendolen finished a fair fourth at Lingfield on her racecourse debut and completes the shortlist.

PACK ICE's runner-up effort at Redcar sets the clear standard, and with her limit not yet reached, she has to be the way to go. Miss Dandylion showed ability amidst greenness starting out at Lingfield and the way she shaped there suggests this trip will suit, with Guendolen also of interest.

The vote goes to MISS DANDYLION, who came home strongly once the penny dropped on her recent 7.6f debut. Guendolen is next best.

15:00 Thirsk Stakes (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Ben Dikduk sprang a 33/1 surprise when landing a 6f Hamilton handicap 12 days ago but he needs to prove that was no fluke and the safer option may be USTATH. The eight-year-old confirmed his well-being with a 5f victory at Wolverhampton last week and, with a C&D victory to his name, he can go well back on turf under the in-form Billy Loughnane. Fellow track-and-trip winner Flavius Titus is another to consider.

Quantity over quality here with a chance taken on ETERNAL SUNSHINE back up in trip with a high draw usually no bad thing over 6f. Ben Dikduk and Ustath can call upon recent winning form so have more going for them than most.

A sister to four winners for the yard who did better last time, ETERNAL SUNSHINE is preferred to Irish Dancer.

15:15 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Midnight Flame hit the frame over an extended 5f in a classified event at Bath earlier in the month and she is an interesting contender back up in trip in a handicap. However, the vote goes to FACT OR FABLE, who was beaten into fourth over a mile here last time and was dropped 1lb for that effort. The seven-year-old continues to lurk on an appealing mark and he looks the way to go, while Diamondsinthesand is another to consider.

Sole 3-y-o MAVERICK STYLE will be better suited by the likely quicker ground here and can return to winning ways. Fact Or Fable and Diamondsinthesand rate the principal dangers.

This can go to FACT OR FABLE (nap), who won three over C&D last summer, and is back on a handy mark. Iconic Knight can do better.

15:30 Thirsk Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Jack Of Clubs bounced back to occupy the runner-up spot in this grade at Musselburgh earlier in the month and he holds an obvious chance off an unchanged rating. However, preference is for GOLDEN RAINBOW, who struck over this track and trip on his penultimate start before finishing third at Musselburgh, and he looks well placed to make it two wins out of his last three starts. Rainbow Rain and Latin Five are two others to consider.

Quite a few to consider here with JACK OF CLUBS given the nod on the back of an excellent second at Musselburgh with a double-figure draw in his favour. Rainbow Rain has been knocking on the door and seems sure to give it a good go, with Cuban Rock also of interest from his lowly mark.

Preference is for Tracy Waggott's course scorer RAINBOW RAIN who signalled he is ready to strike when a good Carlisle third last time

15:45 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Vape filled the runner-up spot over C&D 16 days ago and, having won here second time out last season, he should go well again off a competitive mark. Port Noir was a half a length behind him in fourth that day and she also needs taking seriously. However, HOWZAK has done very little wrong in defeat since returning from a long absence and, still unexposed on turf, he can go one better after finishing second over track and trip latest.

HOWZAK has arguably been a touch unfortunate to have bumped into well-handicapped rivals here on his last 2 starts and can deservedly get his head back in front now. Vape made a good return from a break when second here 16 days ago and is feared most ahead of last year's winner Port Noir.

Last year's winner Port Noir should go well again, but VAPE had him behind over C&D 16 days ago and can confirm placings.

16:00 Thirsk Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

REIDH produced a respectable effort when he finished third on his return from a break after being gelded, and he was kindly dropped 1lb for that display. Richard Fahey's four-year-old remains fairly unexposed for his age and he looks the one to beat, with his main threat possibly being the hat-trick seeking Without Delay. The daughter of Decorated Knight goes off a 2lb higher mark than her most recent victory at Catterick and she is likely to be on the premises again. Danzart can pick up any pieces.

REIDH shaped well on his reappearance when third at Wetherby 13 days ago, faring best of those who stuck to the far side, so he could be ready to take advantage of his reduced mark. Without Delay has been thriving of late and is feared most as she bids for the hat-trick, ahead of Danzart.

A strong pace would suit Danzart, but preference is for WITHOUT DELAY (nap) who can complete a three-timer.

16:15 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A comfortable winner at Musselburgh on his penultimate start, PROTEST RALLY went down fighting with a game second-placed finish at Ripon last week and can atone for that near miss off the same mark. Street Life, whose latest effort is safe to ignore given he never recovered from a mid-race stumble, rates a serious threat to the selection based on peak form. Dual course winner Louis Treize can also figure.

PROTEST RALLY arrives in fine form, so this looks a good opportunity for Liam Bailey's 4-y-o to add another win to his tally at the expense of Louis Treize, who is a bit of a tricky customer but can have his effort at this track last week easily ignored. Gunnerside arrives on a career-low mark and rounds off the shortlist.

Fast ground is a niggle but PROTEST RALLY has been found the ideal opening. Serial slow starter Louis Treize is second choice.

16:30 Thirsk Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Despite being slowly away, BESTIE managed to fly home late to grab third over 6f at Carlisle last week, so he may appreciate this step back up in distance. The son of Advertise goes off an unchanged mark and he could prove the one to beat. Liberty Breeze was far from disgraced when she finished fourth at Catterick on her return to the fray and she should remain competitive off the same rating, while Profiteer is another to note after his third at Carlisle last month.

LIBERTY BREEZE ran well on her return from 6 months off at Catterick earlier in the month and tops the shortlist from an unchanged mark. Langholm is a consistent sort who should give his running once more, whilst Beechwood Star is well drawn in stall 12 and produced a pleasing effort at Wetherby last time, so they are taken to complete the placings.

The bottom weight Profiteer looks dangerous and has scope, but preference is for PREFER THE SISTER who has been going close.

16:50 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

NELSON ROSE returned to form with a solid fourth at Chelmsford earlier in the month. A 2lb drop in the ratings could prove to be lenient for Adam West's filly, with this switch to turf expected to suit. Rinnovati also has some scope to improve and rates a player off a potentially competitive mark, while surprise Salisbury winner Thunderous Love enters calculations given she wasn't disgraced in a deeper race at the same venue last time.

The vote goes to NELSON ROSE, who stepped up on her low-key reappearance run when fourth at Chelmsford recently and she looks capable of delivering the goods off this reduced mark. Rinnovati and Thunderous Love hold strong form claims but the forecast fast ground is a concern for both. Salaamaat is likely to be on the premises.

Front-runner NELSON ROSE is fancied to build on her good effort at Chelmsford. Support for Zelma would be notable.

17:00 Thirsk Handicap (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It will be interesting to see what the market makes of Boldly on his return from a 236-day absence, as he's unexposed for a top yard and now sports a first-time tongue-tie. You can also make cases for Kitsune Power and Noble Anthem, but GASTRONOMY edges the vote on the basis that he has improved markedly this year with his only poor run coming at York last month.

KITSUNE POWER has been cut plenty of slack by the handicapper and ran well here last week. He gets the nod. Boldly is still low mileage and is feared most.

This could prove tactical which may be in favour of LA PULGA, whose last two wins have come under positive rides.

17:10 Ballinrobe Claimer 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Of those with ratings, HELIOGABALUS is clearly best in at the weights and can take advantage of a drop in class. Jessica Harrington's charge was placed on the all-weather on his final start at two and has run respectably in maidens won by useful sorts this term. A wide draw won't be too much of a drawback in this small field. Highly tried in his early juvenile starts, Saxon Kingdom showed more on his first start in handicap company at Leopardstown and should be competitive in a race of this nature, although the longer trip is not sure to suit. Romantic Samurai showed ability in two starts for Richard Hannon and could make an impact on his Irish debut.

HELIOGABALUS hasn't threatened in a couple of maidens this season but he showed plenty when third at Dundalk during the autumn and should prove hard to beat eased in grade here. Romantic Samurai has been absent for the best part of a year but he is nevertheless the most appealing candidate for forecast purposes. Tartaraghan is third choice.

With an official rating of 74 HELIOGABALUS has been put into this with a weight that gives him a good chance of a breakthrough win.

17:30 Thirsk Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A competitive sprint to close the card and the eye is immediately drawn to EMERALDS PRIDE. She was in the form of her life towards the back end of last season, racking up three wins on the spin in August and September, and she picked up from where she left off at Beverley on her seasonal bow last month. She can be marked up for that effort too, given she dwelt leaving the stalls and was towards the rear - which leaves horses with a mountain to climb over that 5f trip on the Westwood. Albegone is another in-form sprinter to note coming in here on the back of two encouraging efforts at Catterick, while Herakles isn't without a squeak.

EMERALDS PRIDE extended her winning run at Beverley last month and remains fairly treated. She can go in again. Le Beau Garcon and Law of Average head the list of dangers.

Michael Dods' mare EMERALDS PRIDE continues to thrive and she can rack up a five-timer after her stylish Beverley reappearance victory

17:35 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

It was fast ground when BAMA LAMA won at Chepstow on her penultimate start. She could only manage third on a slower surface at the same track a week ago, but the going has turned back in her favour and Rod Millman's mare gets another chance. Neptune Legend wasn't at his best when upped in distance last time, having won nicely over the extended 5f at Bath earlier in the month and he is not out of this, while stablemate Milliethemollie drops back in class and is another in with a chance.

BAMA LAMA arrives in form, which is more than can be said for the majority of these, and looks the most solid option. Milliethemollie has largely performed with credit since joining Tony Carroll and is second choice ahead of White Mist, who failed to fire on turf last time but had been in fine form on AW prior to that.

Most of these have something to prove right now, but that's not the case with BAMA LAMA and Rod Millman's mare runs this track well.

17:45 Ballinrobe Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

On his debut at Killarney, BABICH was touched off by a horse now rated 85, with a subsequent maiden winner back in third. Outclassed in a valuable contest at Gowran, Gavin Cromwell's gelding will appreciate coming back to maiden company and should be hard to beat if running close to the form of his first start. Joe Murphy does well here and fits cheekpieces on Victoria Kesia for the first time. The daughter of Territories has finished in front of subsequent maiden winners when placed on her last two starts and can race handily from a good draw. After missing the kick, Onlyinyourdreams came home well when fourth at Tipperary and may be suited by this longer trip.

It's easy to excuse BABICH's defeat in a warm race from a poor draw at Gowran a fortnight ago and given the promise of his debut, he's well worth another chance. Onlyinyourdreams and Prairie Angel are once-raced very likely improvers and are feared most, while support for a newcomer should also be noted.

Following a promising debut at Killarney, BABICH was given an ambitious run in a valuable Gowran event. She will be hard to beat here

17:55 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KINGWOOD QUEEN made an encouraging handicap debut when third at Salisbury, where she ran green in the closing stages but can go close today with further progress likely. Revenue had the measure of Moe's Legacy when scoring over C&D, but the latter turned the tables when successful at Salisbury last time and can confirm superiority. Tres Chic and Rothay Park are also old foes, with the former preferred of that pair over this shorter trip.

The thriving TRES CHIC has done her recent winning over 7f but she wasn't beaten for lack of speed when fourth over C&D last month and can go in again. Last-time-out Salisbury winner Moe's Legacy can give Stan Moore's filly most to do if the visor works as well a second time.

This looks to be a good opportunity for Rothay Park to open his account, but preference is for last month's C&D winner REVENUE.

18:05 Windsor Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The betting may offer some clues as to the chances of these newcomers, but STANDPUT is a speedily-bred filly and gets a speculative vote. She's a half-sister to six winners, including the smart sprinters Spy Ring and Snap Shots, and is preferred to stable companion Cosmic Force. Priapos cost 120,000gns as the first foal of a winning sprinter, while Newlyn School is worth a second glance with his yard in good form.

A race for newcomers, and none can be ruled out, but as things stand, PRIAPOS, Newlyn School and Cuban Girl make most appael in that order before market clues.

The market will make for essential reference. As things stand COSMIC FORCE earns narrow preference over Cuban Girl.

18:15 Ballinrobe Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TIFFANY MAE gained a handicap mark running over shorter trips and has shown promise on her latest two starts. The Jessica Harrington-trained filly put up a creditable effort at Cork before again keeping on nicely at the finish over a mile at Gowran earlier this month to suggest this distance should suit. Solar Drive took advantage of a lowly initial rating when scoring over 1m4f at Cork and has filled the runner-up spot on both outings since but may not be as effective over this shorter distance. Dolce Far Niente needs to bounce back from a disappointing outing at Gowran.

SOLAR DRIVE is going the right way and can record his second career success. Tiffany Mae and Chou Chou should also give a good account.

Consistent in her last two starts over shorter when running on, TIFFANY MAE can make the breakthrough today raised in trip.

18:25 Bath Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MYTHICAL COMPOSER is going the right way judged on an improved effort at Goodwood. Clive Cox's colt ran out of steam in the final furlong on that occasion, but this looks less competitive and a bold bid is expected. Chester third Thecoffeepoddotco is steadily improving and should go well again, while Nala Star showed ability when second over the minimum trip on the turf at Lingfield and could have a say in proceedings.

THECOFFEEPODDOTCO improved again when third at Chester, hanging in there well having contributed to a sound pace, and she's just about the one to beat. Nala Star showed plenty of zip starting out at Lingfield and is a big threat, with Blue Point Express another likely improver.

Marginal preference is for MYTHICAL COMPOSER who came on a ton for a low-key debut when showing up well at Goodwood recently.

18:35 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Roi De France returns to action having finished a promising second on last year's debut, but stablemate WESTRIDGE took a step forward when third over 7f at Kempton last time and this extra furlong will suit. Drumstick can also figure stepping up in distance on the back of a fourth at Salisbury, while Echo Lima returns to a mile having failed to threaten when placed over 7f at Chepstow and makes most appeal of the rest.

ROI DE FRANCE was second in a decent race on his Lingfield debut last backend and is preferred to Destructive, who achieved enough when fourth in a Meydan listed race earlier in the year to think he can win a maiden/novice. The selection's stablemate Westridge was a promising third at Kempton recently and may prove best of the remainder.

This may go to WESTRIDGE who was doing his best work late over Kempton's 7f and he's very much bred to appreciate this longer trip.

18:45 Ballinrobe Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SEE ME THROUGH has progressed well this season and made all for a decisive win at Killarney last month before coming up against the fast-improving Glor Tire at Gowran. Ross O'Sullivan's charge has gone up a combined 12lb for those latest two runs but could still be on an upward curve and the booking of Colin Keane gives further encouragement. River Derwent won three times at Dundalk last winter and again scored over 7f at Roscommon last month, while Laelaps showed improved form last time when beating all bar Carlo Bianconi at Sligo. True Statesman is another to consider on his fourth to Timourid at Leopardstown earlier this month.

BRAVE TROOP left the strong impression that this step back up in trip would serve him well when finishing mid-field at Roscommon where he got going too late. The 5-y-o gets the nod ahead of See Me Through, who has been in good heart of late and is feared with Colin Keane in the hot-seat. Pillar of Hope has slipped to a potentially handy mark and is worth considering, while Laelaps is also accorded respect.

Runner-to the much-improved Glor Tire at Gowran SEE ME THROUGH has sound prospects of adding to his previous Killarney win

19:00 Bath Stakes (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BLUEBELLS BOY missed out by only a neck at Brighton and Darryll Holland's charge is taken to go one better in this similar contest. Several have winning form on the all-weather, including Viewfromthestars, who scored at Chelmsford in April and could be in the mix, while Zing Up and Battle Point were both successful on the Polytrack last year. Josies Kid has tumbled down the handicap and may finish closer in this lower grade.

BLUEBELLS BOY has been running well in the main this year, placing for the fourth time when runner-up at Brighton on his latest outing, so he looks to hold leading claims as he makes only his fourth start on turf. Ten O'Clock went close at Lingfield last month and is respected if taking up this engagement, with Battle Point also considered.

This can go to BLUEBELLS BOY who went down only narrowly at Brighton recently and takes on some mostly out-of-form rivals.

19:10 Windsor Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Dream Composer went in by half a length when landing a class 2 event at Epsom earlier in the month but he goes off an 5lb higher rating for that success and may have to give best to JUMBEAU. Tom Clover's filly was successful over C&D last month and she only has a 4lb higher mark to defy now. With Tom Marquand booked, she could prove tough to beat, while Equity Law is another to keep a close eye on after his triumph at Sandown in April.

EQUITY LAW found improvement when scoring at Sandown in April and appeals as the type to do better yet in sprint handicaps. He can go in again. Jumbeau and Dream Composer also arrive on the back of victories and are feared most.

Andrew Balding's EQUITY LAW (nap) looks to have got off very lightly with just a 3lb rise for his Sandown success.

19:15 Ballinrobe Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MR PERCY might be able to take this weak affair. Twice-raced in France, the four-year-old bay was bought by current connections for 48,000 euros at Arqana in November. Second when last seen at Lyon La Soie, he finished a place ahead of Treasured Soul, who reached a career-high mark of 78 when in the care of Ger Lyons. A rare runner on the level for James Dullea, Lord Raven is of definite interest. Out of a black-type mare, the Raven's Pass chestnut has two solid efforts to his name and it'll be disappointing if he is not involved towards the business end in a contest of this quality. Beaten by just half a length in this very race 12 months ago, Expound has solid place claims, while Bridgehead and Gunsight (first-time blinkers) are others for the shortlist.

LORD RAVEN has displayed ability on both starts and with the prospect of more to come, he's awarded the vote in what is a trappy heat. Mr Percy is a fascinating contender starting out for Joseph O'Brien, with Expound also of interest.

The often-placed Expound has a leading chance but seems fully exposed and may be thwarted by Joseph O'Brien's import MR PERCY

19:30 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SECRET HANDSHEIKH has won one of his two previous starts over C&D and is now 6lb lower than his last winning mark. The trusty visor is back on and replaces the blinkers worn at Nottingham last time out, so he might represent a bit of value in a tricky sprint to call. So Smart will have his supporters following a determined track-and-trip success latest, while six-time course scorer Symbol of Hope is another to bear in mind.

MY DELILAH caught the eye behind So Smart over C&D last time and Adrian Wintle's filly is fancied to turn the tables on this occasion. Inspired Knowhow was better than the result at Windsor last time and can pose the biggest threat, with So Smart himself also respected attempting to follow up.

Inspired Knowhow is respected but MY DELILAH is taken to reverse the placings with this month's C&D winner So Smart.

19:40 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

So Obsessed had Marcus (fourth) behind when she was all out to score by a neck at Lingfield on her latest outing, but a 2lb rise for that victory may find her out. With that in mind, the vote goes to LITTLE WHITE DOVE, who was a big price on her first start for the March Usher stable when a well-held fifth at Brighton, but she was dropped 2lb for that display and now has Robert Havlin booked. The daughter of Sioux Nation could capitalise on a career-low mark, while first-time cheekpieces may eke out more from Tomshalfsister and she completes the shortlist.

SO OBSESSED is building a solid strike rate in sprint handicaps and remains on a fair mark. She is taken to score again. Marcus and Sir Bolton can also make their presence felt.

The filly SO OBSESSED, who likes to chase the pace, should get a nice tow into this and she can follow up her Lingfield win.

19:50 Ballinrobe Handicap 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The in-foal HIDDEN LAND trounced the opposition over flights at Downpatrick recently and might follow up. The seven-year-old has already won twice on the level and could have a fruitful summer campaign before her retirement. Mayo For Sam is sure to prove popular with locals and appears to have solid claims after finishing fourth at Leopardstown. Charlie Luciano is another set to be turned out again quickly. Successful at Fairyhouse on his penultimate start, the Noel Meade-trained five-year-old was beaten into fourth at Down Royal on Saturday. A winner at Tipperary last month, Status Green is likely to have plenty of supporters, while others of note are Limerick runner-up Curious Bride and six-time winner Desert Friend.

CURIOUS BRIDE made a promising return from a break when second in a big field at Limerick 12 days ago and might be the way to go assuming this doesn't come too quick on her. Desert Friend, Mayo For Sam and last week's Downpatrick hurdle winner Hidden Land head the dangers.

DESERT FRIEND didn't get the clearest run behind Mayo For Sam last time and can turn around the form on 8lb better terms.

20:00 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GREY OWL has certainly improved since going handicapping and being fitted with a tongue-tie, as he finished second at Windsor last month before returning to the same venue and going down by two lengths into fourth earlier this month. Up in trip to an extended 1m3f that day, this further rise in distance should suit and he gets the nod ahead of Honrado, who boasts a similar profile. Keep an eye on Blue Hero too.

The handicapper has shown BLUE HERO mercy and the 6-y-o is taken to regain the winning thread. He registered the latest of his seven course wins off a 9 lb higher mark last July and he has been shaping as though worth another try over this trip. The 3-y-os Honrado and Made In China rate the main dangers, with the former feared most with this step up in trip a possible catalyst for some improvement.

The unexposed pair Honrado and GREY OWL make most appeal with improvement likely from both over this longer trip.

20:10 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

After a brace of C&D wins last month, it is hard to see beyond LUCENTIO, given the positive impact racing in cheekpieces seems to have delivered for the son of Too Darn Hot. Off just 4lb higher than the latest of those victories and with forecast quick ground expected to ideally suit, he can extend the winning sequence. Reaching High is noted with a first-time tongue-tie added, as he is surely better than the bare form of his latest start. Arch Legend has won for Oisin Murphy before and also commands respect with that jockey back on board.

HUTCHENCE shaped well when fifth in a 1m novice on return here last month (form working out well), and while he failed to improve on his handicap debut upped to 10.3f at Chester next time, better is expected over this new trip back here. It may be worth giving another chance to Reaching High following a rather disappointing effort at Leicester and he is second choice ahead of the hat-trick seeking Lucentio and handicap-debutant Paradoxical.

An interesting handicap may go to REACHING HIGH in the hope he can tap back into the promise of his excellent penultimate run.

20:20 Ballinrobe Handicap 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A competitive affair to round off proceedings, with SUGAREE the suggestion. Successful on her third start last summer, she ran a nice race on her return to action and should strip fitter now. A winner at the Curragh on her penultimate outing, top-weight Fairytale Princess gets second preference. The Ger Lyons-trained four-year-old since finished down the field in a good-quality contest at the Co Kildare venue and should appreciate this drop in class. A case can be made for many others, with Ameerat Jumaira likely to appreciate the step up in trip. With 10 wins to her name, Effernock Fizz always warrants respect, while No Hassle, who beat the selection at Leopardstown, and the Gordon Elliott-trained Royal Eagle are others for the shortlist.

If AMEERAT JUMAIRA comes only a little for last month's Roscommon reappearance second she could prove the answer to a competitive finale. Joseph O'Brien's Sugaree is another who arrives on the back of a good comeback run and is second choice ahead of last-time-out scorers No Hassle and Influential Lady.

Keithen Kennedy's useful 7lb claim makes ROYAL EAGLE an interesting contender on her return to the Flat after a spell hurdling

20:30 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BAROQUE BUOY wasn't winning out of turn at Wolverhampton on Thursday and is open to much more improvement. He needs to prove himself on turf, but is very difficult to get away from given his progressive profile and the quick turnaround suggests he's come out of that race at the Midlands venue in good nick. Course second Battle Of Omdurman sports first-time cheekpieces and should be there to pounce if the selection falters, while Tidal Storm is also noted.

BATTLE OF OMDURMAN has few miles on the clock and only narrowly failed to open his account here earlier this month. He can go one better. Baroque Buoy and Tidal Storm look the likeliest dangers.

Battle Of Omdurman is respected but preference is for last-time-out winner BAROQUE BUOY (nap) who looks open to further progress.

20:40 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STAR RUNNER, a half-brother to Running Lion who landed the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last week, is the most intriguing option in this relatively modest handicap. An opening mark of 75 looks very workable for the Andrew Balding-trained gelding on his handicap debut, especially as he was only two lengths behind an 81-rated rival when second at Chelmsford on his seasonal bow last moth. Prometeo has a match-fitness edge over Wootton's Jewel and rates the chief threat to the selection.

STAR RUNNER appeals as the type to do better now moving up in trip for this handicap debut and he gets the nod. If the first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect, Daymer Bay could have a part to play having performed well recently at Goodwood where he didn't enjoy the best of runs. Prometeo and handicap-debutant Wootton's Jewel both enter calculations, too.

Running Lion's half-brother STAR RUNNER has shown enough in his three races to believe he can pay his way in handicaps.

21:00 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

On a career-low mark of 47 prior to her latest effort over C&D, BRAMBLE JELLY produced her best effort so far to finish second and be beaten less than a length. Just 1lb higher and with Kevin Stott taking over in the plate, the three-year-old filly appears to have been found a good opening to gain a breakthrough success. Keen Interest and Magic Rascal are the ones expected to put up most resistance.

Preference is for MAGIC RASCAL, who needs to leave behind a shocker at Leicester earlier in the month but was in good form prior to that (narrowly denied at this course last month). He gets the nod over Bramble Jelly, who wasted no time getting back to form when runner-up over C&D recently. Handicap-debutante Diligencia and Keen Interest can fight out third.

This is a good opportunity for BRAMBLE JELLY to get off the mark after finishing second here this month. Magic Rascal is next best.
