Diamand De Vindecy

15/2(-36%)
(3) Diamand De Vindecy 15/2, Fair winner at up to 15f on the Flat in France and ran to a similar level when staying on for second at Ripon (2m, heavy) in April. Possibly failed for stamina back over hurdles at Uttoxeter (23.3f) since and not discounted returned to this sphere.
Soundly beaten over hurdles last month but prior to that he went close on the Flat.

It's All About You

9/2(-13%)
(2) It's All About You 9/2, Didn't kick on as expected as a 3-y-o but eased in weights and ran creditably both starts for new stable this term, fourth of 8 in handicap at Salisbury (14.2f, good) 12 days ago, keeping until last ½f. Has first crack at 2m now.
Encouraging performances on both runs for new yard and is edging down the weights.

3rd (4) Corsican Caper (20/1 -567%)
Corsican Caper

20/1(-567%)
(4) Corsican Caper 20/1, Course winner who arrives in fine form, winning 3 of his last 5 starts, and proved better than ever when close second of 8 in handicap at Leicester (11.8f, good to soft) 10 days ago, slowly away. Very much of interest again on this first crack at 2m.
Three wins in second half of the spring; could do with slow ground.

4th (5) Scylla (13/2 -8%)
Scylla

13/2(-8%)
(5) Scylla 13/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Off 5 months, failed to meet expectations when fourth of 7 in handicap at Nottingham (14f, good, 7/2) 26 days ago, pushed along early in straight and beaten 2f out. Remains early days at least, including at this trip, so interesting if the market speaks in her favour again.
Hasn't threatened in her two 1m6f handicaps but she looks a good prospect for 2m.

(1) Animato 80/1, Represents a yard going well and having ended a losing run at Catterick (15.9f), he followed up from 2 lb higher mark at Chester (15.9f, soft) 12 days ago, leading final 100 yds. Rider's claim more than off-sets rise and big player again.
Won twice last month and going back up weights only slowly.

14:05 Haydock Handicap (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Corsican Caper has progressed since the start of the turf season and warrants serious thought trying 2m for the first time. Similar comments apply to It's All About You, who has run well in both previous starts for his current yard and is a potential improver over this new trip. However, having gone down by just half a length at Ripon in April, the dual-purpose DIAMAND DE VINDECY has the more proven stamina and looks worth chancing back on the Flat from a highly competitive mark.

A winner over shorter here on his penultimate start, CORSICAN CAPER was arguably undone by a slow start when going down narrowly at Leicester 10 days ago and he looks to hold sound claims once more. Animato is also thriving and he's the chief danger in his hat-trick bid.

The lightly raced SCYLLA could relish the step up to 2m and she earns the vote ahead of Animato, who is on a hat-trick.

Dr Seb

9/4(+10%)
(5) Dr Seb 9/4, Rather green in 2 bumpers but fair form in pair of maiden hurdles 20 months apart, shaping as if this longer trip would suit when third (16.5f) in November. Again looked a stayer over 20.6f since so this further step up in distance should suit.
Stamina for this far is unproven and his pedigree casts some doubts on that score.

Westbrook Lad

50/1(-52%)
(9) Westbrook Lad 50/1, Displayed more temperament than ability so far and a doubtful stayer over this trip given how hard he pulls.

(1) Artiste D'ainay 9/4, Fair hurdler who has finished in the money on each of his 7 start in this sphere. Having won a point, he did falter close home starting out for new yard at Fontwell last month. Re-application of tongue tie may help in that regard up in trip.
Below his best Irish form when well held in a good-ground maiden at Fontwell last month.

(6) Impatient 10/3, Quite expensive as a store horse and showed plenty to work on when second in a Newcastle bumper in December 2022. Also found only one too good sent hurdling in October but hasn't stood much racing and having had a wind op (also tongue tied) he was disappointing last month. Up in trip.

14:13 Uttoxeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DR SEB just about sets the standard in this contest with an official rating of 107 after finishing a well-beaten third at Market Rasen in March. Olly Murphy's seven-year-old takes a further step up in trip, which could unlock the improvement needed to get off the mark today. Artiste D'ainay produced a fair effort when hitting the frame over an extended 2m5f at Fontwell last month and he should go well, while Impatient is another to keep an eye on.

DR SEB doesn't do anything quickly so this further step up in trip could be just what he needs to open his account. Impatient and Artiste d'Ainay are the main threats on form, though The Brickey Ranger warrants a market check starting out for Ryan Potter.

Another chance is given to IMPATIENT, who found little fluency in his jumping after an early stumble at Ffos Las but can do better.

14:25 Hamilton Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LIBERALISED makes plenty of appeal on paper representing top connections and boasts a speedy pedigree with her half-sister, Ballet Steps, a winner on her racecourse debut. The dam was Listed-placed as a juvenile at Royal Ascot and Karl Burke's filly is expected to know her job. Rogue Dynasty cost 90,000 pounds at the Goffs UK Breeze-Up sale and is likely to enter calculations, along with Komorkis, a 50,000-euro purchase as a yearling, and Pure Artistry.

LIBERALISED is related to a couple of speedy sorts and in excellent hands, so she's the most appealing filly without the benefit of market clues. Rogue Dynasty must be considered having cost £90,000 at the Breeze-Ups. Komorkis is also of interest.

An interesting event in which the suggestion is PURE ARTISTRY, who has winners in her pedigree and whose yard is doing well with 2yos.

14:35 Haydock Stakes (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Arabian Cobra showed marked improvement from his debut with a second-placed finish in a decent novice stakes at Windsor 12 days ago and should be a key player with another step forward. However, there are several interesting newcomers to consider, with CONSCRIPT, a half-brother to a Listed race winner over this trip, shading preference on debut for a yard doing well with juveniles this season. Dubai Bling and the Karl Burke-trained pair, Qaseem and Tiger Mask, are others to monitor in the betting.

Strong support behind a debutant will look significant but ARABIAN COBRA took a marked step forward on his debut run in the Lily Agnes when finishing runner-up at Windsor 12 days ago, pulling clear of the remainder, and his experience edge over the majority ought to count for a good deal. Newcomer Mukaber is very much of interest (holds Group 2 entry) and he needs considering. Against the Wind, who ran well on his York debut, and expensive breeze-up acquisition Veydari are others to consider.

Arabian Cobra sets a strong form standard but preference is for VEYDARI for Wathnan Racing, whose 2yos have been excelling.

14:43 Uttoxeter Handicap Chase (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GET UP MUSH has had an up and down career so far, with his standout effort coming when he was victorious over the smaller obstacles at Wetherby in February last year. Dan Skelton's six-year-old has undergone a wind operation since he was last seen 444 days ago and now makes his handicap/chase debut, which could spark the improvement needed to defy his mark of 110. The main danger might be Kilta, who was racing from 12lb out of the handicap when scoring by a length in a class 3 event at Cartmel last time and, despite carrying a 7lb penalty today, he is still 5lb lower than for that victory. Opening Bid can prove best of the rest.

A few in with chances but KILTA made the perfect start over fences (from 12 lb out of the weights) when scoring at Cartmel last week so, with improvement on the cards, Sam England's charge is fancied to follow up under a penalty at the expense of Get Up Mush, who makes his chase debut/reappearance for the red-hot Skelton team. Olivers Travels, who is another newcomer to chasing, completes the shortlist.

An absence doesn't usually stop one of Dan Skelton's and GET UP MUSH is bred to do well in this discipline.

14:55 Hamilton Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Huddle Up fared best of those who reoppose from meeting at Carlisle last Thursday, having gone down by a neck in second, and the six-year-old must command plenty of respect. However, a chance is taken with the fourth from that contest, COUNT D'ORSAY. Tim Easterby's gelding took a step back in the right direction on that occasion, benefiting from a drop in class, and is entitled to build on that display. Leodis Dream and Burj Malinka are others who boast solid credentials.

LEODIS DREAM has hit the ground running this season and, having found just one too good at Ripon last time, he's fancied to get back to winning ways in what doesn't look quite as strong a race. Burj Malinka is an obvious danger at a track where he boasts a solid record and Huddle Up is a player if in the same form as last time.

In an open event it may pay to forgive a below-par run from STONE CIRCLE, who will likely be suited by this better ground over 5f.

15:05 Haydock Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NARIKO blitzed a mark of 71 with a comfortable success over C&D last month and could still be heavily underestimated off a 7lb higher mark. Admittedly, this is a deeper race and the likes of Beyond Borders and Cool Dividend provide stiffer competition, with the latter suggested as the biggest threat to the selection after a close second at Doncaster 19 days ago. The Good Biscuit is also feared.

A dual winner as a 2-y-o, THE GOOD BISCUIT posted a career-best effort back from 10 months off (also gelded) when runner-up at Leicester 10 days ago and appealing as the type who could progress further, he shades the vote operating from the same mark. Nariko, a good winner over C&D 12 days ago, is feared along with Cool Dividend. Run Boy Run is another worth a second look equipped with first-time cheekpieces.

Bottomweight PEARL ABBEY could be on a good mark for her handicap debut judged on her comfortable maiden win at Wolverhampton.

15:13 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JUST DOTTIE went clear to score by over six lengths in this grade at Perth last month and she may have been let off lightly with only a 5lb rise for that victory. Mike Smith's mare looks to have lots in her favour once again and she looks difficult to oppose. Symbolic Spirit did just enough to be successful by a head at Hereford on his latest outing and she is 6lb higher now, but she should remain competitive, while Vision Of Hope can pick up any pieces.

THEIRSHEGOES has yet to get her head in front but there has been enough in her efforts (often travels strongly) to suggest a well-run race at the minimum trip could well play to her strengths and she shades the vote in an open-looking mares' handicap. Last-time-out winners Just Dottie and Symbolic Spirit are others to consider, with Milajess also making some appeal having shaped much better than the distance beaten suggests at Sedgefield last time.

The suggestion is THEIRSHEGOES who has been moving okay in her races but not getting home over longer trips.

15:25 Hamilton Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

GLENFINNAN stepped forward from his yard debut when scoring at Ascot last month and a 4lb rise may underestimate the four-year-old, especially with him boasting the potential for more to offer as a sprinter. Roman Dragon ran with credit on his return to the UK when fourth at Chester and he is likely to benefit from the extra furlong. Others for the shortlist include Illusionist and Persuasion.

GLENFINNAN is unexposed as a sprinter and opened his account for Michael Dods at Ascot last time, so he's capable of going in again for a possible tilt at the Wokingham. Kelpie Grey has returned thriving, so he's an obvious danger along with Roman Dragon

A competitive race in which it could be worth siding with PERSUASION, who ran respectably last time and shouldn't mind the return to 6f.

15:35 Haydock Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An open event in which only a tentative vote can go to GRACE ANGEL, who bounced back to form with a good second at Windsor last month. Darryll Holland's filly is now 6lb lower than when winning over C&D in June of last year, so she ought to hold every chance if building on that most recent effort. Paddy's Day (second) finished half a length in front of Match Play (third) at Ayr 15 days ago and both look set to be on the premises once again, while others to note include Astapor and Thunder Star.

A tight-knit handicap in which marginal preference is for C&D winner MATCH PLAY who signalled he is ready to go in again at Ayr. Gemini Star is next on the list, especially if first-time cheekpieces eke out some improvement. Paddy's Day, Grace Angel and Thunder Star all need factoring in too.

This should be fast and furious and THUNDER STAR (nap) can exploit today's drop in grade. Match Play is feared most.

15:43 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BULLETS HILL was progressing nicely over hurdles with a brace of victories at Exeter and Ffos Las in the space of three days in April, before disappointing on his chasing debut at the latter venue on his latest start. Switching back to timber appears the right move and the extra half a mile could unlock further potential. World Of Dreams was fancied to run well at the Punchestown Festival when finishing down the field and is expected to find this an easier assignment, while Two To Tango is another capable of a decent showing.

FAITHFULFLYER came clear in good style at Kelso and could follow up if in the same form. Bullets Hill can do better back hurdling, while Love That is a possible improver now handicapping for a good yard.

This can go to the unexposed TWO TO TANGO who shaped with considerable promise when second in a Newbury maiden hurdle in January.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GOOD MORNING ALEX is in the form of his life at present and a further 11lb rise for an easy success over shorter here last month may not be enough to prevent the three-year-old from landing the hat-trick. A highly-creditable second over 1m4f at Kempton last time out, Bur Dubai can give the selection the most the think about, along with Doncaster runner-up Keep Warm.

KEEP WARM bumped into a progressive rival last time and the form has been boosted by some of those that finished behind him, so he may be capable of going one better at the possible expense of Bur Dubai, who is still relatively unexposed. Good Morning Alex is enjoying a productive season and should go well again.

The step up to this trip could suit KEEP WARM, who has run two solid races over 1m, the last of which is working out well.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Queen Of Soldiers holds an entry in the Ribblesdale and commands plenty of respect having been narrowly denied on her racecourse bow at Ascot. Lasting Love and Power Of Destiny are also noted, but FAIFA gets the nod. The daughter of Galileo is entitled to have come on a bundle for her run at Salisbury on debut last month and she might represent a bit a value for her powerful Newmarket-based yard.

QUEEN OF SOLDIERS made a very promising start to her career when just touched off in an Ascot maiden over this sort of trip 4 weeks ago and Roger Varian's Ribblesdale entry is fancied to build on that and make another bold bid. Faifa, following her very promising debut fourth at Salisbury, and Lasting Love are others fancied to feature.

Several runners are interesting in this strong-looking maiden. Top of the list is Ribblesdale entry QUEEN OF SOLDIERS.

16:18 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It seems an interesting move for KINTAIL to be running at this time of the year, having not run up to scratch on his handicap bow at Lingfield in January behind Inthewaterside. Nicky Henderson's gelding may well have been inconvenienced by softer ground and promises to be suited by a step up in distance. Edison Kent bounced back when runner-up at Huntingdon on his return from a break. The eight-year-old is capable of being in the mix, with Fair Frontieres and Wavering Down completing the shortlist.

KINTAIL disappointed at Lingfield last time but remains with potential and appeals as the sort to benefit from a break, so he can get back on the up to get the better of the in-form Wavering Down, who travelled with purpose at Warwick. Front View is one to note if strong in the betting.

Last month's Warwick runner-up WAVERING DOWN looks a solid contender with Edison Kent also worth considering.

16:40 Haydock Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having finished fifth in a Group 3 at Goodwood in late August, FOREVER BLUE makes plenty of appeal on her return to action in these calmer waters. Ralph Beckett's filly should take all beating if performing to the same level and she edges the vote over last month's Redcar scorer Not Real. The daughter of Kodiac is heading in the right direction and she isn't taken lightly upped in distance, while any market support for newcomer Tareefa would be interesting.

The market should reveal plenty but Ralph Beckett's FOREVER BLUE possesses much the best form on offer and is taken to make a winning return with her yard going well. Redcar scorer Not Real is next on the list, although newcomers Haute Couture, Winning Point and Tareefa are all in excellent hands and need monitoring in the betting.

Redcar winner NOT REAL is a very bright prospect and is taken to defy a 7lb penalty. Newcomer Winning Point may be the main danger.

16:50 Uttoxeter Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A tentative vote goes to PHIL DE PAIL, who was unlucky not to get off the mark over hurdles and was going well from the front when unseating his rider six out at Warwick in this sphere last time. The seven-year-old gets to run off an unchanged mark and he is narrowly preferred to Hey Day Baby and Hey Brother, who is entitled to improve on his first start for new connections at Hexham. Hattons Gardens and Lough Salt cannot be ruled out either.

HATTONS GARDENS made an encouraging debut over fences when fourth at Southwell so makes the most appeal with most of his rivals arriving with something to prove. Talkingthetalk is a potential danger given her 100% record around here, while Daranova is running off a reduced mark for an in-form yard.

The suggestion is PHIL DE PAIL, who remains well treated from his hurdles form and, if jumping around, can atone for his recent mishap.

16:55 Leopardstown Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

There's a lot to like about Aidan O'Brien's GISELLE on paper being by Frankel out of a Breeders' Cup winner, with Ryan Moore on board. She holds a Group 2 entry for the end of the month. Dahlia Noir showed plenty of potential when runner-up on debut over a similar trip at this track behind a well-regarded winner. She sets a more-than-decent standard for the newcomers to reach. O'Brien also takes the wraps off another regally-bred filly in Bedtime Story, who is by Frankel out of a Group 1-winning sprinter. She has the same Group 2 engagement. Queens Fury and Jessica Harrington's newcomer Vega's Muse shouldn't be ruled out.

DAHLIA NOIR's runner-up effort here 3 weeks ago was chock-full of promise given her obvious greenness. Sure to build on that, she's the percentage call, for all Aidan O'Brien unleashes a couple of very well-bred debutantes in Giselle and Bedtime Story.

C&D second Dahlia Noir has major claims but could find superbly-bred debutante GISELLE too strong

17:05 Hamilton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

An improver on her first start for trainer Ivan Furtado last week when scoring over this distance at Beverley, LINCOLN ROCKSTAR looks the one to beat again under a 5lb penalty. As long as she handles quicker ground on this occasion, the four-year-old may have too much for Newcastle scorer Humble Spark, as well as Hot Team, who could hardly have done it any easier when winning at Carlisle last time out.

A few with chances but the verdict goes to recent Carlisle scorer HOT TEAM who still looks ahead of his mark under a penalty for that commanding victory. Executive Pool is next on the list for his new handler, with Lincoln Rockstar and Billy Bathgate also in the picture.

Last week's winners Hot Team and Lincoln Rockstar have claims but this could go to HUMBLE SPARK back on turf and back at 1m4f.

17:10 Haydock Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This may be fought out between the three penalised winners in Arnaz, Alfie Boy and WOODLEIGH, with the latter fancied to complete a double. Declan Carroll's inmate opened his account in convincing fashion at Ripon last week and there should be more to come, especially being 3lb well-in under a penalty. The aforementioned Arnaz, who scored a shade cosily at Brighton recently, may give the selection most to think about, while Redcar scorer Alfie Boy must prove his effectiveness on a sounder surface.

WOODLEIGH took his form up a level when opening his account at Ripon and still looks ahead of his mark despite saddling a 6 lb penalty here. Arnaz also arrives on the back of a recent victory at Brighton and is next on the list ahead of handily-weighted Triggerman and Redcar scorer Alfie Boy.

The penalised Woodleigh, Alfie Boy and ARNAZ are all respected but the last-named has less to prove regarding the ground.

17:15 Chelmsford Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The penny dropped late on for HOLBROOK on his debut when he finished sixth at Leicester last month. Ollie Sangster's juvenile overcame his inexperience to finish his race off well and, with normal improvement, he could be the one to beat. Glitterati is bred for speed and he goes for Archie Watson, who can ready one first time out, so he has to be considered with Luke Morris booked. Lockwood completes the shortlist.

NUMBER has acquitted himself well in both starts to date and has the assistance of Oisin Murphy. He can open his account. The chief threat may come from one of the newcomers, with Glitterati and Ballsgrove Boy appealing most.

Number sets the standard and is respected but LOCKWOOD looks a likely newcomer on pedigree.

17:20 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Denied by the narrowest of margins over C&D last time out, ORCHESTRA can gain compensation on this occasion off a 1lb higher mark. The four-year-old has done well without winning since beginning his career in this sphere for new connections and he gets the vote ahead of unexposed handicap debutant Defence Witness and Ambassador, who was a comfortable winner over track and trip last month.

ORCHESTRA did little wrong when nabbed on the line here last month and can gain compensation. Handicap debutants Kentucky Bluegrass and Defence Witness head the list of dangers.

The suggestion is DEFENCE WITNESS (nap), who has shown promise and may have got in lightly.

17:30 Leopardstown Listed 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The 107-rated PORTLAND has to be the starting point up in trip. This Dubawi colt was last seen finishing fourth in a Group 3 at Sandown and has a third place in a Group 1 in France last autumn in his locker. Keeper's Heart is next best with a mark of 102. He received a hike of 13lb from the handicapper after a close fourth in the Group 3 Derby Trial at Leopardstown in May. He is also up in trip and is very much unexposed after three runs. Jessica Harrington said she was looking forward to seeing Kinesiology over this distance after he won his maiden over an extended 1m2f in Cork last month.

PORTLAND and Keeper's Heart produced career-best efforts in Group 3 company last time and may well fight out the finish with this trip sure to suit both. Marginal preference is for the Aidan O'Brien representative.

Portland edges it on form but KEEPER'S HEART may have more scope for improvement at this trip

17:45 Chelmsford Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BRIAN went into many notebooks when he finished fourth at Windsor last month and he would have learned a great deal from that experience. With normal progression, he ought to go close, with his main threat possibly being Lovestruck Romeo, who has the plum draw in stall one and has produced two solid efforts in his career so far, including his third at Salisbury last time. Any market support for Cool Hoof Luke would be interesting too.

BRIAN finished with running left after meeting trouble when fourth on debut at Windsor recently so, granted better luck in-running, Sylvester Kirk's colt is fancied to get off the mark at the expense of debutant Cool Hoof Luke, who represents the in-form Andrew Balding yard and ticks plenty of boxes on paper. This step up in trip should suit Lovestruck Romeo so he can edge out sole filly Flor Do Rio for third.

The market should reveal plenty but LOVESTRUCK ROMEO is taken to put his experience to good use and get off the mark now up in trip.

18:00 Leopardstown Handicap 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Dermot Weld's ASTAR won her maiden on good ground in Clonmel last September and will appreciate this surface. Her fourth in a higher grade at Navan in April reads well as the winner endorsed the form in Killarney. St Faz was placed over a similar trip in Navan and subsequently took a maiden hurdle in Killarney. He has to be respected reverting to the Flat off a mark of 74. Sugaree makes her seasonal reappearance and shed her maiden tag at this track last season, so is one to monitor for market strength. Theophilos had a good run in second over a shorter trip at Roscommon and is in the mix.

Preference is for THEOPHILOS, who stepped up on his reappearance run when second at Roscommon last month and looks worth another crack at this longer trip. St Faz and Astar are feared most

A winner over hurdles recently, ST FAZ had earlier finished a good third on the Flat at Navan and could be the one to be on here

18:15 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FURTHER MEASURE has been unfortunate to occupy the runner-up berth over 2m here on each of his last two starts, but he is only 2lb higher for those efforts. He should have no issues with this drop in trip and looks the one to beat. Miss Tiki wasn't disgraced in fourth over C&D last time and she should go well off an unchanged mark, while Merry Minister is another to consider.

NIVELLE'S MAGIC can boast a better will to win than most at this sort of level and well worth a crack at this new trip, she's just about the most persuasive option. Further Measure seems sure to make his presence felt again, with the slightly quirky Hill Spirit another to consider for place purposes.

Course scorer FURTHER MEASURE is taken to gain a deserved success with the form of his recent second over 2m here having been franked.

18:30 Leopardstown Listed 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

TARAWA is taken to progress from her third place in Listed class over 7f at Naas last month. She is entitled to come on from that first run in over seven months and should appreciate this new trip. Cairo has to be feared on his first start for Alice Haynes. He was runner-up in last season's Irish 2,000 Guineas for Aidan O'Brien and has a Group 3 triumph at this venue in the book. Jim Bolger's Clean Energy has some very notable Group 1 entries and is pitched in here for his debut, so has to be given a market check. Self Belief enjoys this track, but would prefer some juice in the ground.

TARAWA was a bit disappointing on her comeback run at Naas but she probably needed that so is worth another chance with headgear back on. Self Belief isn't the most consistent and is penalised for his Group 3 win over C&D last summer, but still rates the main threat ahead of improving 3-y-o Formal Display.

With a possible race-fitness edge TARAWA (nap) gets the vote over Cairo

18:45 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALPEN POWER gets the nod. Charlie Johnston's charge finished down the field in a Newmarket handicap most recently, but he was an unlucky loser at Newcastle prior to that and returning to an artificial surface looks ideal. Faayzah is the likely pace angle into the race and a bold showing would come as no surprise, while last-time-out winner Clear Storm completes the shortlist upped 3lb.

The C&D handicap in which MAREFUORI finished fifth in has already received several boosts so he has a lot to recommend him eased slightly in class. Clear Storm got the job done on handicap debut at Nottingham and is the obvious threat.

Preference is for CLEAR STORM (nap) who made a winning start in handicaps at Nottingham and can improve enough to defy a 3lb rise.

19:00 Leopardstown Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LIVIO MILO's staying-on third over 1m at this track in April was a notable performance. Judging by that effort, this extra furlong will do him no harm at all. This Songisforyou is sure to be popular on his first start of the season after hacking up in a Clonmel maiden when last seen in September. Prior to that, he was just pipped by a short head over C&D, so his form stacks up. The admirable Longbourn rarely runs a bad race and should be in there pitching on his return to action. Furthermore, he has gone well fresh before. Shigar posted two decent placed efforts last month, which gives him a chance.

Dermot Weld and Chris Hayes combined to land this last year and they can repeat that feat with LIVIO MILO, who ran up to his best when third at this track a couple of months ago and has his usual headgear reapplied here. Shigar has returned with a couple of third-placed efforts in big-field handicaps, so he's put forward as the main danger, with Longbourn taken to edge out handicap-debutant This Songisforyou for bronze.

Having gone close off a 2lb lower mark at the Curragh last time over a mile, SHIGAR can get back on the scoresheet up in trip.

19:15 Chelmsford Stakes (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

600,000-pound purchase TEN DIMES will have learned a lot from her victory over a mile at Newcastle in April, setting her own fractions before going on to score cosily, and it would be no surprise if this No Nay Never filly, who holds a Ribblesdale entry, completes a double. Precious Jewel may emerge as the main danger to the selection dropping in trip after an impressive victory over 1m4f at Newmarket last month, while Upton, a sister to the top-class Kameko, is respected first time up.

TEN DIMES looked a useful filly in the making when outclassing her rivals at Newcastle in April and with this step up in trip not expected to be an issue, she can defy a penalty. Precious Jewel can also boast form figures of 21 and she's feared most unless there's serious confidence behind a newcomer, notably Daylight Chorus and Upton.

Some well-connected newcomers on show but PRECIOUS JEWEL and Ten Dimes are both promising winners who can fight this out.

19:30 Leopardstown Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NOT FORGOTTEN hasn't been beaten far at all in his last three outings and could be ready to double his career total. The blinkers that were tried when fourth in this grade at the Curragh are retained. The in-form Glor Tire reappears under the mandatory 7lb penalty after obliging at Gowran Park on Monday. A 10lb claimer has been enlisted to more than offset the penalty in her bid for a hat-trick. If that race hasn't left a mark, she is a major contender. Rampage goes well at Leopardstown, while handicap debutant Solomon Coop is one to note. Currumbin, Chavajod and Darkdeserthighway cannot not be ruled out in a competitive heat.

GLOR TIRE has returned an improved model and is fancied to complete the hat-trick under a penalty. Fellow 3-y-o Currumbin is next best ahead of Not Forgotten.

A close second on handicap debut at Killarney last time, CURRUMBIN could improve enough to defy a 5lb higher mark.

19:45 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Roger Varian and Silvestre De Sousa are operating at a 24 percent strike-rate when teaming up this year, and MIGHTY NEBULA can provide them with another victory. He finished an excellent third under a penalty at Wolverhampton most recently and, stepping up in trip on his handicap debut, he looks the one to be with. The hat-trick seeking Endless Power can give the selection most to think about, while Lord Protector also enters calculations.

WADACRE GOMEZ has an excellent record around here so gets the nod off a tempting mark. Progressive 4-y-os Endless Power and Mighty Nebula are feared most.

Endless Power should go well in his hat-trick bid but this C&D seems to bring out the best in WADACRE GOMEZ.

20:00 Leopardstown Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

POMERIGGIO has an each-way chance from stall one. Her fourth place in a better-class contest at Dundalk has been well franked and the inside draw gives this prominent racer the opportunity to put her best foot forward. I Bid You Ajou has been placed on his last couple of starts and Colin Keane stays loyal, so the pair have to enter calculations. Artful Approach kept on well for fourth over 7f at Cork, so is well worth another crack at 1m in first-time cheekpieces. Posh Maisie can make her presence felt in her first handicap for Johnny Murtagh and Ben Coen.

I BID YOU AJOU returned to form when second at Gowran a month ago and he's well treated on the pick of his 2-y-o efforts, so he gets the nod over Zenato, who may have more to offer. Artful Approach is another definite player.

Though a soundly beaten runner-up on heavy ground at Gowran last time, I BID YOU AJOU will be more at home on this sounder surface.

20:15 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although unable to justify favouritism when runner-up on her reappearance over a mile at Redcar last month, MILLITERRIES lost little in defeat that day. This return to 7f should suit James Fanshawe's filly and compensation could await off only 2lb higher in the ratings. The biggest danger is All Agleam, who likely has more to come reverting to the all-weather, while it's too early to write off the lightly-raced Divine Breath.

DIVINE BREATH failed to meet expectations on her handicap debut at Newmarket but she had excuses and is well worth another chance with the return to 7f in her favour. Milliterries showed big improvement when runner-up on her handicap bow/return at Redcar and is the obvious threat, with All Agleam best of the others.

Redcar runner-up MILLITERRIES is taken to show further improvement and go one better. Divine Breath is second choice.

20:45 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SERGEANTS LEGACY proved far more competitive on his handicap debut when finishing a close-up second at Kempton in April. A 1lb rise in the ratings looks on the lenient side and compensation could await the son of Adaay. Salaamaat arrives on the back of a respectable runner-up effort at Wolverhampton and the Rae Guest-trained filly may put up most resistance to the selection, ahead of Orbital, who lurks on an attractive mark.

SALAAMAAT showed improved form stepped up to this trip when splitting a pair of subsequent winners at Wolverhampton in March so can go one better off the same mark. Sergeants Legacy made a positive start to life in handicaps when second at Kempton and rates the main threat ahead of Garden View, who's worth another chance back on AW.

In a tight-looking race, SERGEANTS LEGACY is the suggestion ahead of Gultari.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
