1st (5) (11/1 +31%) Legendary Day |
11/1(+31%) | (5) Legendary Day 11/1, Made winning start on yard/hurdles bow at Sedgefield in November 2022 and has won 4 times on the level since. Recent efforts on the level have been poor, though, and he needs to get back on track now tackling fences. Quite useful on the Flat; won novice on hurdles debut; quite interesting on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (9) (28/1 -75%) Icare Grandchamp |
28/1(-75%) | (9) Icare Grandchamp 28/1, Lightly-raced ex-French hurdler who was a good second in 19f Fontwell handicap on reappearance in September. However, he was too keen at Plumpton later that month and then failed to make an impact on chase debut when last seen in November. Ex-French; patchy form over hurdles and well beaten on chase debut; bit to prove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (9/1 +0%) Homme D'un Soir |
9/1(+0%) | (3) Homme D'un Soir 9/1, Pretty useful hurdler/chaser for Stuart Crawford in his prime. Posted his best effort since joining this yard when second in a 6-runner handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (15.8f, soft) recently and he's one to consider off the same mark back in this sphere. Won beginners chase in 2022; in decent form hurdling; a possible now going back chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (12) (7/1 +42%) Abaya Du Mathan |
7/1(+42%) | (12) Abaya Du Mathan 7/1, Has done well since joining current connections, winner of a match over C&D in January and a 12-runner handicap chase at Warwick on penultimate start. Paid the price for chasing a strong pace at Bangor recently and he's in with an each-way shout. Veteran; suited by good ground; 2m winner in April; lesser run on easier going last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (25/1 -25%) Post No Bills |
25/1(-25%) | (6) Post No Bills 25/1, Bagged 3 handicap chases in 2023, readily making all at Plumpton (17f, good) for latest success in September. However, he hasn't put his best foot forward in 3 starts since returning from a break in March. Three chase wins on good ground; not so good recently; on a good mark and conditions suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (16/1 -14%) Texard |
16/1(-14%) | (8) Texard 16/1, Easily best effort for this yard when wide-margin winner at Market Rasen (17.2f, good to soft) in April. Not in the same form both subsequent starts, though, and will likely find at least one or two too good once more. Winner off 5lb lower in April; not quite as good since; conditions suit; a possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (22/1 +0%) Romanor |
22/1(+0%) | (7) Romanor 22/1, Keen sort and usually held up (best delivered late), tactics which very nearly paid off at Newton Abbot in September. Well below par since, though, and he's probably worth taking on, for all that he is on a good mark if able to get back on track. Experienced chaser; 8lb lower than when close second in September; conditions suit; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (12/1 -33%) Isocrate |
12/1(-33%) | (2) Isocrate 12/1, Left hurdles debut form well behind when just touched off in a 2m Sandown novice in February and again found just one too good at Exeter next time. Didn't appear to stay 21f on his latest start and he's interesting back down in trip on this chase debut. Twice second over hurdles on soft earlier in the year; best at 2m; chase debut; a possible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (13) (16/1 +0%) We Got Your Back |
16/1(+0%) | (13) We Got Your Back 16/1, Winless following half-a-dozen attempts over hurdles but was runner-up twice here in handicaps earlier this year. Latest effort at Market Rasen lacked spark, though, and needs to raise his game now switched to the larger obstacles. Maiden; runner-up in two C&D hcap hurdles earlier this year; bit to prove on chase debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (4) (13/2 +28%) Chase A Fortune |
13/2(+28%) | (4) Chase A Fortune 13/2, Bettered hurdles exploits when making a winning chase debut following a wind op at Catterick (15.7f, soft) in February. By no means disgraced in 3 subsequent starts and shapes as though he'll benefit from this switch to a sharper track. Catterick winner on chase debut and fair efforts since; third off this mark last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (14) (9/2 +0%) Tropical Talent |
9/2(+0%) | (14) Tropical Talent 9/2, Off the mark at the third time in this sphere when, fitted with a first-time tongue strap, accounting for 10 rivals in a Sedgefield handicap (17f, good) last month. 4 lb rise isn't the end of the world, especially considering that he remains unexposed as a chaser. Off the mark over fences at Sedgefield last time and has a chance off this 4lb higher mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (1) (12/1 +25%) Sea Prince |
12/1(+25%) | (1) Sea Prince 12/1, While it's been a struggle since he opened his chase account at Stratford back in August 2022, this 8-y-o boasts a good record when fresh (form figures read 1U22 following breaks of around 6 months or more) and the handicapper has given him a chance. Goes well fresh; 2nd here on comeback for past two years, in 2023 off 7lb higher mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (10) (4/1 -14%) Mystic Man |
4/1(-14%) | (10) Mystic Man 4/1, Winner of 2 of his 3 starts over fences for Oliver Sherwood and made it 2-2 for present yard with back-to-back wins over 20.5f here in September/October. Nudged up just 1 lb for latest success and will be a huge player if he copes with this drop back in trip. 4-5 over fences, the last 2 wins over 2m4f here; going suits; this trip a slight concern. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (11) (40/1 -186%) Brown Monday |
40/1(-186%) | (11) Brown Monday 40/1, Remains a maiden following a dozen starts under Rules and this Irish raider will need to find improvement from somewhere if he's to open his account here. Irish raider; maiden over jumps; needs to improve on recent fourth in a chase at Limerick. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Further improvement cannot be ruled out from the hat-trick seeking Mystic Man and Harry Derham's inmate warrants respect on his return to action. However, this drop in distance could be against the seven-year-old and fellow last-time-out scorer TROPICAL TALENT edges the verdict. The Nathaniel gelding is unexposed in this sphere and further glory is likely. Chase A Fortune also enters the reckoning having posted a solid third at Hexham last month.
Provided he's ready to roll following a eight-month break, MYSTIC MAN may well enhance his already impressive record over fences. He admittedly made rather hard work of things when landing the odds here last time but he's only gone up 1 lb for that and it's possible that this front-runner will be suited by dropping back to the minimum trip. Isocrate will be a threat if his jumping passes the test on this chase debut, while Tropical Talent is third choice ahead of Homme d'Un Soir.
The vote goes to the well-handicapped ROMANOR who has conditions to suit and should improve for last month's reappearance run.

5/1(+50%) | (7) Pentle Bay 5/1, Foaled February 2. 120,000 gns foal, €55,000 2-y-o, New Bay colt. Closely related to French 11f-12.5f winner Japarana and half-brother to 3 winners, including 2-y-o 5f/6f winner Liv My Life. Dam French 1½m winner. Likely type on paper. Cost 55,000euros at last month's breeze-ups; likely to improve for today's debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

40/1(-21%) | (10) American Style 40/1, £22,000 yearling, Washington DC colt. Dam 7f/1m winner. 28/1, ninth of 11 at York (5f, good) on debut 20 days ago, very green. His dam was useful but he was well beaten at 28-1 on last month's debut at York (5f, good). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (12) (4/1 +38%) High On Hope |
4/1(+38%) | (12) High On Hope 4/1, 40,000 gns foal, £30,000 yearling, Sergei Prokofiev colt. Half-brother to smart 6f winner Sam Maximus and 2-y-o 7f winner Amazing Show. Second of 14 in maiden at Bath (5.7f, good, well-backed 7/2) on debut 20 days ago, green and nearest finish. May well do better. 7-2, 5l second of 14 on debut at Bath three weeks ago; not ruled out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (5/2 +9%) Calyxoh |
5/2(+9%) | (2) Calyxoh 5/2, Half-brother to several winners, including 7f/1m winner Ghadaayer and 1½m-16.6f winner Wanaasah. 6/1, promising second of 12 at Newmarket (6f) on debut 18 days ago, clearly having inherited plenty of speed from his sire and denied only late on by one that was more clued up. Should improve. Went close on last month's debut at Newmarket; should be winning sooner rather than later. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (11) (22/1 -175%) Brighton Boy |
22/1(-175%) | (11) Brighton Boy 22/1, Foaled February 14. 21,000 gns yearling, Gregorian colt. Dam, runner-up at 6f, half-sister to smart/unreliable 6f winner Zanetto. Noteworthy newcomer. Connections won this with a newcomer last year (at 5-1); interesting on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (13) (6/1 -50%) Mapledurham |
6/1(-50%) | (13) Mapledurham 6/1, 38,000 gns yearling, Kodiac filly. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner First Defence out of US Grade 1 7f winner Honest Lady (runner-up in Breeders' Cup Sprint). 00/1, third of 20 in maiden at Newbury (6f, good) on debut 18 days ago. Should have more to offer. Ran a cracker at 100-1 when third of 20 on debut at Newbury; firmly in calculations. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (66/1 -313%) Bracklesham Bay |
66/1(-313%) | (1) Bracklesham Bay 66/1, Foaled February 8. 45,000 gns yearling, New Bay colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart 7f/1m winner Haqeeqy and winner up to 7f Rock Melody. Dam 6.7f winner. Half-brother to three winners but he may be one for further down the line. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

14/1(+0%) | (4) Equalised 14/1, Foaled March 30. €18,500 foal, £48,000 yearling, Equiano colt. Dam 6f winner. £48,000 yearling; with a respected trainer and the betting may be informative on debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (8) (9/2 +10%) Rokuni |
9/2(+10%) | (8) Rokuni 9/2, €45,000 foal, 45,000 gns yearling, Saxon Warrior colt. 20/1, fourth of 10 at Ascot (5f, good to firm) on debut 24 days ago. 6f sure to suit and open to improvement for yard that have done well with 2-y-os in 2024. Promising fourth on debut over 5f at Ascot; key player now upped to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (80/1 -100%) Alashos |
80/1(-100%) | (9) Alashos 80/1, Foaled February 12. €30,000 foal, 32,000 gns yearling, Showcasing colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart 7f winner Valeria Messalina. Newcomer; half-brother to Group 2 winner Azure Blue; yard is better known for older horses. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MAPLEDURHAM ran a great deal better than the market expected she would when hitting the frame on her debut at Newbury last month and she could have plenty more to offer. Rod Millman's filly has plenty of speed in her pedigree and she could get off the mark, with her main threat possibly being Calyxoh, who was only denied by a head when second on his first start at Newmarket and he has to be respected. Equalised and Pentle Bay warrant market checks on their respective debuts.
CALYXOH made a promising start at Newmarket 3 weeks ago and gets the vote with improvement on the cards. Rokuni and Mapledurham also shaped well on their debut and should progress. Brighton Boy might be the pick of a host of interesting newcomers.
Having been hampered at the start when beaten just a head on last month's debut at Newmarket, CALYXOH is taken to go one better.

No Regrets |
(3) (9/1 -100%)9/1(-100%) | (3) No Regrets 9/1, Won pair of 3m handicap chases in first half of 2023 and left low-key reappearance effort well behind when adding to his tally in a first-time visor at Kelso (23.4f, good) last month. However, 4 lb higher mark could prove problematic in this more competitive race. Back from a break to win for a third time over fences when just holding on at Kelso. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (6) (14/1 -75%) Do No Wrong |
14/1(-75%) | (6) Do No Wrong 14/1, Form took off last summer, winning 3 times at up to 3m. Was never in the hunt back from an 8-month absence at Fakenham in April but eased 2 lb since and he could have a part to play if on-song. Won three handicap chases last summer; current mark might be challenging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (6/1 +40%) The Wolf |
6/1(+40%) | (1) The Wolf 6/1, Useful but temperamental 10-y-o who snapped a long losing run when striking at Perth (3m, soft) last spring. Largely underperformed since and he's probably worth taking on, for all that the handicapper has shown mercy. Useful handicap form but ran miserably in a hunter chase last time out. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (9/2 +10%) Crystal Moon |
9/2(+10%) | (4) Crystal Moon 9/2, Wasted little time over hurdles and has shown himself in a far better light since switched to fences, scoring at Huntingdon on Boxing Day and Hereford in January. Creditable third to in-form rivals back from a break at Plumpton (25.7f, good) and he's a key player in first-time cheekpieces. Went up 12lb for his Hereford win and that looked a factor when third at Plumpton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (11/4 +45%) Tom Creen |
11/4(+45%) | (7) Tom Creen 11/4, Back-to-back Sedgefield winner in October/November and has remained in good form since, beaten just over a length when third to Taste The Fear over C&D last time. Enjoys a handy pull at the weights with that rival and should make his presence felt. In-form chaser with form here and capable amateur Tom Broughton claims a useful 5lb. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (2) (3/1 -9%) Taste The Fear |
3/1(-9%) | (2) Taste The Fear 3/1, Has returned to form with blinkers enlisted the last twice, landing back-to-back good-ground C&D handicaps. 6 lb rise for latest success looks fair given that he wasn't hard-pressed and he'll prove a tough nut to crack. 2-2 here since the blinkers went on but another 6lb rise asks a question of him. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (5) (9/2 +59%) Galloping Pride |
9/2(+59%) | (5) Galloping Pride 9/2, Runner-up sole start in Irish points last year and stepped forward from hurdling debut when third in novice at Wincanton in January. Hasn't done much in 2 subsequent appearances but it wouldn't be a surprise were he to improve now tackling the larger obstacles. 0-4 hurdling but placed the once and this former pointer might well make a better chaser. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The fitting of blinkers has enabled an uplift in performance from TASTE THE FEAR, who scored a shade cosily when completing a double over C&D last month. A further 6lb rise in the ratings looks more than workable for the nine-year-old and a third consecutive victory could beckon. The biggest threat may emerge from the Nicky Richards-trained No Regrets, who regained the winning thread at Kelso in May, while first-time cheekpieces could eke out some improvement from Crystal Moon.
TASTE THE FEAR is very much back in the groove and a third consecutive C&D success is on the cards for this 9-y-o. He may have most to fear from Crystal Moon, who hasn't done a great deal wrong since switched to fences and wouldn't need to improve much for the fitting of cheekpieces to play a leading role here. Tom Creen is also accorded respect, while Do No Wrong will have a fighting chance if able to put his low-key reappearance behind him.
The 9yo TOM CREEN has done all his winning over fences at Sedgefield but he has form here and Tom Broughton's claim will come in handy.

17/2(+15%) | (4) Dibble Dabble 17/2, Winner at Wolverhampton in February. 8/1, fourth of 5 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 34 days ago. Makes turf debut with bit to prove after 2 modest efforts. Won on Wolverhampton AW in February but two lesser runs have followed there; turf debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (8/1 +50%) Standbackandlook |
8/1(+50%) | (3) Standbackandlook 8/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Tenth of 11 in handicap at Nottingham (10.2f, good, 10/1) 14 days ago. Others more persuasive. Well beaten on his three 2yo outings and same outcome on both handicap starts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (10) (17/2 +15%) Letmebetheboss |
17/2(+15%) | (10) Letmebetheboss 17/2, Thrice-raced maiden. 50/1, off 8 months and first run since leaving Tom Dascombe when fifth of 11 at Windsor (8.1f, heavy) 29 days ago. Up in trip. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (13) (25/1 -79%) Hot Patootie |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (11/4 +31%) Harlington |
11/4(+31%) | (2) Harlington 11/4, Lightly-raced maiden. Gelded, respectable fourth of 12 in handicap at Bath (10.2f, good, well-backed 4/1) 20 days ago. Can make presence felt. Well-backed fourth at Bath three weeks ago; not ruled out in a weak race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (16/1 +20%) Rasmah |
16/1(+20%) | (11) Rasmah 16/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 12 in handicap at Bath (10.2f, good, 8/1) 20 days ago, checking out tamely. Tailed off last time but has a squeak on her earlier sixth placing at Brighton. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (7) (11/2 +0%) Ready Or Nott |
11/2(+0%) | (7) Ready Or Nott 11/2, Creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Hamilton (8.3f, good to soft, 7/2) 30 days ago. Up in trip. Arrives in better form than the vast majority of these and she's a possible player. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (4/1 -60%) Magic Rascal |
4/1(-60%) | (9) Magic Rascal 4/1, Tongue strap on for 1st time, creditable fifth of 10 in handicap (4/1) at Lingfield (9f, good) 12 days ago, taking strong hold. Went close at Bath previously and good chance if proving straighter. Creditable performances in defeat the last twice and he holds solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (5) (66/1 -164%) Daylight Ransom |
66/1(-164%) | (5) Daylight Ransom 66/1, Modest maiden who again finished well held when sixth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, soft, 33/1) 38 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time up in trip. Dam's side of pedigree hints this trip may suit, but well beaten in both handicaps. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (8) (66/1 -230%) Silver Shamrock |
66/1(-230%) | (8) Silver Shamrock 66/1, 10/1, last of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm) 42 days ago. Up in trip. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Disappointing last time but that maybe came too soon after promising reappearance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (1) (16/1 +20%) Azure Stage |
16/1(+20%) | (1) Azure Stage 16/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 12/1 and blinkered for 1st time, eighth of 10 in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Up in trip. Down the field on all four runs, the latest his handicap debut at Carlisle; hard to fancy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (6) (25/1 +0%) Old Bailey |
25/1(+0%) | (6) Old Bailey 25/1, Respectable seventh of 15 in handicap (50/1) at Doncaster (8f, firm) 17 days ago. Up in trip. Soundly beaten on all seven starts but there was a hint of promise at Doncaster last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
A chance can be taken on LETMEBETHEBOSS, who was way too keen over a mile at Windsor on his first start for the William Muir & Chris Grassick stable, so he can be forgiven for his fifth in that event. The son of Magna Grecia looks worth a flyer on his handicap bow. Magic Rascal wasn't disgraced when fifth at Lingfield on his latest outing and he could have a say off a 3lb higher rating, while Azure Stage is another to keep an eye on.
Quite a few of these look pretty limited and MAGIC RASCAL could be the way to go. He's clearly not the most straightforward (starts slowly/races keenly) but has shown enough ability all the while to think he can win a race like this. Harlington is a player, while Hot Patootie could do better now handicapping at such a low level.
This may go to OLD BAILEY, who made some late headway over 1m at Doncaster last time after being denied a clear run.

Newcomers from yard often fancied and she has to command serious respect, particularly if strong in the market. Fifth foal; half-sister to point winners Quickcharge and Chabichou Dupointou. |

7/2(+36%) | (4) Rockola Vogue 7/2, Jukebox Jury mare. Half-sister to bumper winner Imonlysaying. Dam, little show in bumpers/over hurdles, sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3¼m) Doctor Harper. 4th (3) (12/1 +40%) Nobody's Perfect |
12/1(+40%) | (3) Nobody's Perfect 12/1, Made frame both starts in Irish points and showed something to work on when fourth at Plumpton on debut in April. Ridden more prominently and proved too free at Hexham (hooded both starts). Behind Ava's Angel at Hexham and there might be even bigger dangers than her. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (12/1 -50%) Wilmcote |
12/1(-50%) | (5) Wilmcote 12/1, Jack Hobbs mare. Half-sister to 5 winners, including bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Space Voyage and fairly useful hurdler Crest. Dam, 2m-2½m hurdle winner, half-sister to Grand National winner Rule The World. Displayed ability under kind ride when fifth on C&D debut a month ago. More to come. Weak 16-1 chance when beaten 11l into fifth over C&D last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (18/1 -29%) Porridge |
18/1(-29%) | (8) Porridge 18/1, Casamento filly. Dam unraced, out of useful hurdler/fair chase winner (stayed 2¾m) Bold Fire. Fourth on sole outing in points and having joined a good yard, she wasn't seen to best effort over C&D a month ago. Fifth here four weeks ago on good ground when beaten about 8l; did get outpaced. |

7th (10) (7/1 -155%) Silver Pageant |
7/1(-155%) | (10) Silver Pageant 7/1, £1,000 3-y-o, Iffraaj filly. Half-sister to 2 winners, including fairly useful 17f hurdle winner Realist. Dam 6f winner who barely stayed 1¼m. Cheap buy but represents high-respected Irish yard. Irish stable 2-4 in British bumpers this season so commands attention. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (9) (16/1 +36%) Remember Moi |
16/1(+36%) | (9) Remember Moi 16/1, Jukebox Jury filly. Half-sister to fair hurdler/chaser Niccolai, stayed 21f, and fair hurdler Aazza. Hooded for debut and one to monitor in the betting. Half-sister to winners Aazza (2m/3m hurdle) and Niccolai (2m hurdle/chase); hooded. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (7/1 +13%) Ava's Angel |
7/1(+13%) | (6) Ava's Angel 7/1, Frontiersman filly. Dam unraced. Dam unraced, from family of high-class staying chaser L'Ami and useful staying chaser Kelami. Stoutly bred and shaped in kind when plugging on for third at Hexham 3 weeks ago, suited by reasonble pace by bumper standards. Even super-stiff Hexham didn't appear to provide a sufficient stamina test last month. |

17/2(+15%) | (11) Sugar Glider 17/2, Bathyrhon filly. Dam, French hurdler (17f/2¼m winner), half-sister to useful hurdler/very smart chaser in France (17f-2¾m winner) Le Berry. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (125/1 -150%) Hot Chique |
125/1(-150%) | (2) Hot Chique 125/1, £8,000 4-y-o, Black Sam Bellamy mare. Closely related to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Hill Sixteen. Showed nothing on last month's C&D debut and a hood is now applied. Behind Rockola Vogue and Porridge here last month; now hooded. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ROCKOLA VOGUE offered plenty to work with on her third-placed debut over C&D last month and that race experience should stand her in good stead moving forwards. The daughter of Jukebox Jury holds the most compelling claims and edges the vote over Ava's Angel, who boasts a similar profile. Sam England's filly is entitled to build on her placed opening bid at Hexham in May and she isn't taken lightly, while market support for newcomer Charisma Cat would be interesting.
CHARISMA CAT boats the right sort of pedigree for bumpers and represents an excellent yard, so a winning debut would come as no surprise. Irish-representative Silver Pageant also requires a market check, while Wilmcote and Rockola Vogue both shaped with promise in different C&D bumpers on the same card a month ago.
The newcomers are interesting, notably the well-bred CHARISMA CAT and Irish challenger Silver Pageant.

16/1(-14%) | (13) Arabian Rose 16/1, 230,000 gns yearling, Too Darn Hot filly. Half-sister to useful winner up to 1m Blyton and smart 1m winner Grande Dame. Tenth of 11 in maiden (8/1) at Bath (8f, good) on debut 20 days ago, looking clueless. Well beaten on recent debut at Bath but bred to do much better at some stage. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (5) (250/1 -400%) Daliso |
250/1(-400%) | (5) Daliso 250/1, Once-raced filly. Ninth of 10 at Wolverhampton (9.5f, 80/1) on debut. Off 10 months. Had wind op/tongue strap on for 1st time. Well beaten at 80-1 last July on her sole start; wind op since; transformation needed. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
KING'S SCHOLAR, who took a big leap forward from his debut performance to finish second at Salisbury last month, is the one they all have to beat. He represents an in-form yard and the booking of Tom Marquand screams confidence. Of the remainder, Sahara View makes the most appeal on debut for the Godolphin team, while So Deuce is expected to have some say.
SO DEUCE made a good return at Yarmouth and seems sure to improve further, so he's fancied to take this maiden. Godolphin's Sahara View is a very interesting newcomer on his belated debut, while Forest Gate is another to note.
The well-bred 4yo newcomer SAHARA VIEW earns the vote for Saeed bin Suroor. Yarmouth fourth So Deuce could be the chief threat.

3rd (2) (28/1 -40%) Jakana |
28/1(-40%) | (2) Jakana 28/1, Played up beforehand when sixth of 16 in bumper at Ludlow (soft) on her debut, going with little fluency but hinting at ability by the end Again looked rather awkward at Plumpton. Tailed off last time but debut run wasn't devoid of promise and she's well bred. |

Runner-up sole start in Irish points and joined a top yard but proved too free when failing to meet market expectations over C&D a month ago. Must be capable of better. Only ninth here last month and she'll need to leave that form behind. |

8th (3) (20/1 +0%) Lapointe |
20/1(+0%) | (3) Lapointe 20/1, £1,500 3-y-o, Telescope mare. Half-sister to 3 winners, including bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Boomarang and fair hurdler/chaser Pass Me By. Wears hood for debut. Quite a nice pedigree but bought cheaply and hooded for debut. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (17/2 -21%) Screened |
17/2(-21%) | (4) Screened 17/2, Jack Hobbs mare. Dam, fair hurdle winner around 3m, half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3m) Banjaxed Girl and useful chaser (stayed 3½m) Gorsky Island. Wears tongue strap having already undergone a breathing operation. Half-sister to several winners, notably smart jumper Banjaxed Girl. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Jamie Snowden can do well with newcomers and he could have another decent sort on his hands with SCREENED, who is from the family of the smart Banjaxed Girl and her dam won twice over hurdles. Letterston Lily looks the pick of those with experience after an encouraging placed effort at Haydock last month, while Either Way and Shakiyra are others to consider.
LETTERSTON LILY sets a reasonable standard after a couple of bumper runs and is taken to make that experience count. It will be interesting to see what Shakiyra can do this time having been turned over at odds-on for her debut, with Queens Venture respected given the yard she's joined from points.
It was a tough starter for LETTERSTON LILY at the Grand National meeting and she showed enough at Haydock to get the vote.

6/1(+33%) | (4) Calvert 6/1, Evens, improved when winning 5-runner minor event at Bath (10.2f, good to soft) when last seen. Off 7 months. Open to further progress now switching to the grass in first-time cheekpieces. Not seen to best effect since winning debut; stiffer test at 1m4f can suit; cheekpieces on. |

6th (1) (7/2 +30%) User Amistoso |
7/2(+30%) | (1) User Amistoso 7/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Excellent third of 9 in handicap at Chester (12.3f, good, 17/2) 26 days ago. That is good form and he's respected up 3 lb. Came on for comeback when 3rd to two subsequent winners at Chester (1m4f); improve again. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Handicap debutant Calvert ended last season with a breakthrough victory at Bath and Roger Teal's inmate could play a leading role on his return to action. However, REACHING HIGH has the benefit of a recent run, which may prove pivotal. The son of Sea The Stars found only a subsequent winner too strong over 1m2f at Chelmsford last month and this rise in trip looks sure to suit. Educate and User Amistoso are also noted in an open contest.
REACHING HIGH made a solid start in handicaps when second at Chelmsford and seems sure to do better still over this longer trip. He can open his account back on turf. User Amistoso is feared most ahead of Educate.
A truly run race at this trip would be ideal for REACHING HIGH (nap) whose handicap debut second on the AW has worked out well.

Unplaced completed start in Irish points but still worth a precautionary check in the betting on Rules debut. Beaten 20l on the occasion he did complete in points; no appeal for now. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Emmett Mullins looks to have found an ideal opportunity for BACKMERSACKME, who went from competing in a Grade 1 at the Punchestown Festival to a sixth-placed finish in a Tipperary maiden hurdle last month. A determined winner of a bumper at Ludlow in April, Hell Hound is a key player on his hurdles bow, along with Skyjack Hijack and Traditude Tara.
Bumper-winner BACKMERSACKME disappointed bearing in mind his hurdling debut promise at Tipperary last time but he retains obvious potential and is well worth another chance. Hell Hound overcame a positional bias to land a Ludlow bumper in April and is an interesting hurdling newcomer, while Traditude Tara may fare best of the rest.
It's a mystery as to what happened at Tipperary but BACKMERSACKME had been looking a good prospect. He has Hell Hound to beat.

11/2(+45%) | (3) Mother Mary 11/2, 8/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Ascot (8f, good to firm) 24 days ago. First run for yard after leaving James Ferguson. Might want further. Denied clear run when not beaten far at Ascot latest; could be in the mix on stable debut. |

40/1(-60%) | (4) Legend Of Leros 40/1, 22/1, eleventh of 12 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 13 days ago. Others more persuasive. On a reduced mark but down the field on his two outings last month. |

6th (6) (6/1 +25%) Red Mirage |
6/1(+25%) | (6) Red Mirage 6/1, Latest win at Catterick in April. 9/1, seventeenth of 20 in handicap at York (7f, good) 18 days ago. This is easier. Won on soft at Catterick on reappearance; quicker ground then against him at York. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (8) (9/4 +55%) Charencey |
9/4(+55%) | (8) Charencey 9/4, Career best when winning 10-runner handicap at this C&D (good, 7/1) 24 days ago, readily. Can go well again up 5 lb. Did it readily over C&D last month and a 5lb rise may well not stop him. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
CHARENCEY enjoyed a return to this venue when winning a shade cosily over C&D last month. A 5lb rise in the ratings looks far from insurmountable for Ian Williams' charge and a brace could be on the cards. The biggest threat may emerge from Hat Toss, who posted his best effort of the year when runner-up at Newmarket last time out, while Metabolt is likely to prove competitive on his return to class 4 company.
HAT TOSS ran really well at Newmarket a fortnight ago and has strong claims from the same mark. Metabolt and ready C&D winner Charencey are dangerous.
The lightly raced 4yo CHARENCEY was better than ever when a smooth winner over C&D last month and he can defy a 5lb rise.

Foster's Fortune |
(5) (8/1 +11%)8/1(+11%) | (5) Foster's Fortune 8/1, Took his form up a notch on his first venture into handicap company when scoring at Sedgefield (16.8f, good) 25 days ago. Still looked green there so merits consideration despite a 6 lb weights rise. Appreciated the drier ground when winning easily on h'cap debut at Sedgefield. |

1st (2) (5/4 +38%) Mostly Sunny |
5/4(+38%) | (2) Mostly Sunny 5/4, Fairly useful 12f Flat winner for Heather Main and scored readily in this sphere for his new yard in 2m Huntingdon novice two weeks ago despite still showing signs of inexperience. Looks to have got in lightly for his handicap debut. Very interesting. Not thrown in for this handicap debut but in the right hands to progress. |

2nd (4) (4/1 +33%) Glimpse Of Glory |
4/1(+33%) | (4) Glimpse Of Glory 4/1, Passing Glance gelding who has shaped with promise when placed in juvenile events at Wetherby and Market Rasen this spring. Looks sure to improve now going handicapping. Very much one to consider. Placed behind useful horses in his first two hurdles (2m, soft) and straight handicapping. |

3rd (12) (10/1 +38%) Royal Max |
10/1(+38%) | (12) Royal Max 10/1, Modest form at best for Nicky Henderson and got back on track for his current yard when a C&D third last month. No forlorn hope if building on it. Best run for a while when an 11l third over C&D (good) four weeks ago. |

4th (10) (33/1 +0%) Treasured Company |
33/1(+0%) | (10) Treasured Company 33/1, Dual 2m hurdles winner in 2021. Lightly raced since and only ninth of 11 in 2m Warwick handicap last month. Hard to warm to. Just 2-32 overall and last win was in 2021, since when he's not had much racing. |

5th (3) (16/1 -129%) Chicago Gal |
16/1(-129%) | (3) Chicago Gal 16/1, A fair maiden on the Flat and she got off the mark in 10-runner handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (16.6f, good) 25 days ago. Up 4 lb but she ought to be thereabouts again. Her first win under either code when flashing home late to seal the deal at Market Rasen. |

6th (9) (66/1 -164%) Great Warford |
66/1(-164%) | (9) Great Warford 66/1, Little show in a trio of runs over hurdles, beating only one at Newcastle (2m4f) in January. Lots more is needed now going handicapping after a lay-off with cheekpieces added. Pretty poor so far but he's into handicaps on the driest ground he will have encountered. |

|F| (6) (4/1 +50%) For Three |
4/1(+50%) | (6) For Three 4/1, Resumed winning ways at Sedgefield (2m) and backed it up with a very good second at Hexham (16.2f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Can go well again. Has delivered five solid efforts on the bounce and fully entitled to have some say. |

|F| (8) (11/1 +8%) Inigo |
11/1(+8%) | (8) Inigo 11/1, A fairly useful bumper winner in France. Off 20 months subsequently but shaped better than result all 3 starts in maiden hurdles and hadn't been asked for an effort when falling 3 out in a Kempton handicap last time. Remains with potential. In contention before falling at the third-last flight on handicap hurdle debut at Kempton. |

|PU| (11) (25/1 -79%) Dragonball Prince |
25/1(-79%) | (11) Dragonball Prince 25/1, Ended his time on the Flat (for Hugo Palmer) out of form. No real promise in 3 hurdles for current yard either but handicaps provide him with a much more realistic chance. One to keep a close eye on in the betting. Ordinary maiden on Flat for Hugo Palmer and tailed off in three hurdles; h'cap debut. |

|PU| (7) (66/1 -230%) She's A Rocca |
66/1(-230%) | (7) She's A Rocca 66/1, C&D winner but off 7 months before pulled up in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (20.6f, good) 25 days ago. Needs to get back on track. Pulled up on her return from a break and her win here in October was over 2m4f. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A capable sort on the level, MOSTLY SUNNY has done well since joining the Dan Skelton yard and a mark of 102 could underestimate him on his handicap debut, following a taking success at Huntingdon recently. Now that the penny has dropped for Chicago Gal after her victory at Market Rasen, she looks to be the main danger, as well as Foster's Fortune and the unexposed Glimpse Of Glory.
Lots with chances but Dan Skelton's upwardly-mobile hurdler MOSTLY SUNNY looks to start life in handicaps on a handy mark so gets the verdict. Glimpse of Glory is another with better days ahead of him now he goes handicapping and rates a big threat. Several others are also worthy of consideration, notably For Three, Inigo and Dragonball Prince.
A good few to consider but FOSTER'S FORTUNE (nap) looked a different horse on good ground at Sedgefield and can follow up.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
ALFRED COVE has posted several creditable efforts in defeat on the all-weather in recent months and this return to turf should not be a problem. The five-year-old ticks plenty of the right boxes and he may be able to fend off chief rival Atty's Edge. Christopher Mason's gelding offered something to work with on his reappearance at Bath recently and he's feared most, ahead of Mrs Trump, who was denied a clear run when sixth at Ripon in May.
Excuses can be made for MRS TRUMP's recent reverse at Ripon and, granted better luck here, she might be the answer to an open-looking contest. Alfred Cove has been knocking on the door on the all-weather of late and he could be the one to follow the selection home. Atty's Edge and Liberty Bay can do battle for minor honours.
Redcar winner MRS TRUMP didn't get the breaks when attempting to follow up at Ripon and she is taken to regain the winning thread.

7/2(+30%) | (4) The Big Lense 7/2, Got back on track when head second of 11 to Pozo Emery in handicap hurdle over C&D (good) 28 days ago, just failing. Ought to be in the shake-up. Better chaser but went close on his recent return to hurdling at Stratford. |

2nd (1) (4/1 +11%) Elham Valley |
4/1(+11%) | (1) Elham Valley 4/1, Has made a promising start for his new yard, very good second of 9 in handicap hurdle here (15.8f, good to soft) 21 days ago, finishing strongly. Player now back up in trip. Found 2m too sharp a test when just missing out here three weeks back. |

3rd (2) (25/1 -79%) Belvedere Blast |
25/1(-79%) | (2) Belvedere Blast 25/1, A three-time 2m winner last season who looked rusty after 7 months off when fifth of 9 in handicap hurdle here (15.8f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Merits consideration with that run under his belt. Last summer's form offers hope but has lost his way and behind Elham Valley 21 days ago. |

15/2(-50%) | (6) Pozo Emery 15/2, Got off the mark for his current yard in 11-runner handicap hurdle over C&D (good) 28 days ago by head from The Big Lense. Not taken lightly despite a 3 lb rise. He came out on top in a duel with The Big Lense at Stratford last month. |

5th (3) (16/1 +0%) Copper Beach |
16/1(+0%) | (3) Copper Beach 16/1, Scored over hurdles at Uttoxeter last June but not seen out since only seventh of 10 in handicap hurdle at Wetherby (19.7f, heavy) 6 months ago. Not ruled out though after a wind op. 2m4f on good ground is ideal and could be interesting on the back of wind surgery. |

|U| (5) (6/5 +4%) Lipa K |
6/5(+4%) | (5) Lipa K 6/5, Bumper/hurdles winner who easily went 2-2 over fences at Bangor (2m4f) a week ago. Reverts to this sphere on a handy-looking mark. Big shout. 2-2 for this yard over fences and returns to hurdling off the same mark as last time. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
POZO EMERY beat The Big Lense (second) by a head over course and distance earlier in the month, with the form being franked after the third, McGowan's Pass, scored at Uttoxeter next time. The nine-year-old is only 3lb higher for that triumph and he can confirm the form with his reopposing rival to record a double. As for the latter, he should remain competitive and is likely to prove the main threat once again, while Elham Valley is another to consider after his second over 2m here last time.
LIPA K arrives better than ever over fences and looks to have got in lightly back in this sphere so edges the vote in a highly competitive handicap. Elham Valley heads the list of dangers on the back of his very good recent second here, although Belvedere Blast also needs considering with his fifth here last time under his belt. C&D 1-2 Pozo Emery and The Big Lense also command plenty of respect in an intriguing contest.
It was all very easy for LIPA K when making it 2-2 for this yard over fences at Bangor last week. He's off the same mark here.

WHERE'S CLARE showed good early speed when just touched off by a penalised rival on her debut at Carlisle last month. Berthed well in stall one here, she can put that experience to good use and shed her maiden tag at the second time of asking. Bantz was unable to land a blow at Chepstow three weeks ago, but he is a half-brother to Ziggy's Dream, a multiple winner on the all-weather, and it would come as no surprise were he to step forward. Others to note include Never Know and Candy.
Charlie Johnston's Mehmas filly WHERE'S CLARE made a promising start when runner-up at Carlisle and can build on it here to go one better. Newcomers Never Know and Colocolo both appeal on paper and are in good hands so could emerge as the main dangers in that order, especially if the market speaks in their favour.
As regards the runners with experience, WHERE'S CLARE is well clear on the figures. Interesting newcomer Never Know is feared most.

25/1(+38%) | (15) Robeam 25/1, C&D winner but it's now 2 years since that victory and ran a moody race at Hereford (25.5f, soft) when last seen in March. Since had a wind op but others are more persuasive. Back after wind op; has not shown much recently but 6lb lower than C&D win in May 2022. |

50/1(+0%) | (11) Willwekeephim 50/1, Little impact over hurdles for this yard, including on handicap debut after 5 months off latest. Plenty to find up in trip. Well beaten over hurdles, including on h'cap debut last time; would be a surprise winner. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
ROCKY HILL kept on to hit the frame over 2m4f at Ffos Las earlier in the month, which suggests this step up in trip could eke out improvement. Tom Lacey's seven-year-old was dropped 1lb for that performance and he could be the one to beat. Stripe Of Honour was just touched off when second over track and trip on his latest outing and he holds an obvious chance off a 4lb higher rating, while last-time-out winner Eric Carmen is another to keep a close eye on.
There are races in MALAGO ROSE and she's chanced in first-time cheekpieces now faced with quicker conditions. Jeteye, Rocky Hill and Eric Carmen are among the other likely players.
The choice is FINE BY ME who shows his best form fresh, has conditions to suit and is on a good mark. Rocky Hill is next best.

Although HIGH COURT JUDGE struggled at Leicester last time out, a return to the form of April's C&D second would give him every chance. The four-year-old was caught out extremely wide on that occasion, but he shouldn't have that problem here breaking from stall three. Come On John is now 5lb below his last winning mark and must be respected, for all that his draw isn't ideal. Prince Hector and Stoic Syd could be involved, while market support for Strategic Fortune would be interesting.
Lots of these arrive with question marks against them so STOIC SYD is fancied to bounce back in style with this return to further looking a plus after he failed to fire dropped to 7f at Southwell last time. C&D winners Come On John and Prince Hector can both have a say too and rate the chief threats to Ivan Furtado's handily-weighed 4-y-o.
Returned to AW on his second start for a new yard, HIGH COURT JUDGE may be the answer. Balqaa is second choice.

DAMASCUS STEEL ran an excellent race when second at Doncaster last month, despite pulling hard throughout. The booking of William Buick catches the eye on this occasion and, if he can manage to settle the son Mastercraftsman, he should have too much for Southwell runner-up Lunar Shadow, as well as Hill Station, who only weakened late in the piece when fifth over C&D last time out.
The assessor has dropped AIMING HIGH 2 lb having not been seen to best effect on reappearance and dropped in class, she looks the way to go. Damascus Steel is an in-form rival so needs considering, while Oisin Murphy is an eye-catching jockey booking for Warhol on his return.
The drop in grade will benefit Aiming High but preference is for DAMASCUS STEEL who recorded a first AW win at Kempton last month.

WAKE UP HARRY hit the woodwork at Chelmsford in April when attempting to follow up on his earlier C&D success. Nudged up 1lb in the ratings, Brian Toomey's charge remains on a competitive mark and might not need much more to regain the winning thread. Mr Squires posted a creditable third at Carlisle four days ago and he is interesting turned out quickly, while Roaring Ralph can take a step forward for his in-form stable.
WAKE UP HARRY can boast a C&D win and comes here on the back of a good Chelmsford second so gets the vote. Carlisle third Mr Squires is next on the list ahead of Roaring Ralph and Mudlahhim.
Wake Up Harry has stalls issues and in-form Mr Squires and C&D winner ROARING RALPH (nap) look safer options.

The step up in trip may be just what is needed for AL QUDRA to get off the mark after a respectable third over 5f at Newmarket on his second start last month. The son of No Nay Never is bred to get this distance and he is narrowly preferred to well-bred newcomer Brandywine Falls, who is a brother to the stable's smart Albany winner Daahyeh. New Century and Think Of A Name are other debutants to monitor for market support.
AL QUDRA built on his debut promise when third at Newmarket last month and, with that form proving strong, he's the obvious choice. Monomyth is expected to improve plenty on his initial outing at Ascot, while Brandywine Falls and Soldier's Heart are clear pick of the newcomers before market clues.
The clear form pick is AL QUDRA, while Brandywine Falls, Soldier's Heart and New Century are interesting newcomers.

A return to 7f proved just the trick for BORA BORA, who claimed the spoils with a late run over C&D in April. A 2lb rise looks on the lenient side and John Butler's charge is taken to follow up. Having been denied a clear run in the closing stages when third behind the selection on that occasion, Streak Lightning isn't taken lightly racing off the same mark, while four-time track winner Pessoa should also make his presence felt.
AL AMEEN figures on a good mark so is fancied to bounce back from a rare poor effort at Ascot last time in these calmer waters. Nottingham third Beylerbeyi arrives on a long losing run but is feared most ahead of course winner Streak Lightning and C&D scorer Bora Bora.
Streak Lightning should go very well but perhaps BORA BORA still has some improvement to come on this course.

(4) (9/1 -80%)9/1(-80%) | (4) The Thames Boatman 9/1, C&D winner. Latest win here in March. Fourth of 7 in handicap (4/1) at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 15 days ago, briefly forced to wait for a gap. 2-2 at the track and on a fair mark; wouldn't want to fluff the start from stall 1 though. |

1st (2) (5/4 +58%) Laoisman |
5/4(+58%) | (2) Laoisman 5/4, Course winner. 1 win from 2 runs this year. Latest win at Wolverhampton in April. Excellent second of 10 in handicap (11/4) at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 22 days ago, collared close home and has to be taken very seriously from 2 lb higher. Thriving sprinter, unlucky not to complete four-timer latest; new trip but should cope. |

2nd (6) (8/1 -33%) Almaty Star |
8/1(-33%) | (6) Almaty Star 8/1, C&D winner. 10/1, respectable third of 7 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Cheekpieces enlisted for the first time. Creditable efforts for new yard without looking ahead of his mark; now gets cheekpieces. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (11/2 -38%) Harry Brown |
11/2(-38%) | (3) Harry Brown 11/2, Course winner. 9/2, fifth of 7 in handicap at Newmarket (5f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Others more persuasive despite this representing a drop in class. Strong AW form and mark has dropped after two quiet turf outings; player at this level. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (8/1 -60%) Ancient Times |
8/1(-60%) | (5) Ancient Times 8/1, Fourteen runs since last win in 2022. Creditable fourth of 8 in handicap (9/2) at Nottingham (5f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Buick takes over. Down in weights and well drawn; William Buick replaces apprentice; good claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (7/2 +56%) Star Of Lady M |
7/2(+56%) | (1) Star Of Lady M 7/2, C&D winner. 3 wins from 8 runs this year. Latest win at Thirsk in May. Last of 8 in handicap (9/2) at Nottingham (6.1f, good to firm) 24 days ago but return to 5f probably in her favour. Below par on turf last month but C&D record reads 3211 and she's 2-2 for Oisin Murphy. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (16/1 -14%) Mick's Spirit |
16/1(-14%) | (7) Mick's Spirit 16/1, Six-time C&D winner. Latest win here in February. 12/1, respectable third of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (5f) 12 days ago. Return to this venue in his favour but he's up in class. Faces his optimum conditions but up in class and others look to have stronger claims. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
LAOISMAN's winning run finally came to an end when narrowly denied last time out at Windsor, but the way he travelled through that race suggested dropping back to 5f should not be of any inconvenience. Sebastian Wood's charge may be able to make it four wins from five starts at the main expense of The Thames Boatman and Ancient Times, who has returned to a bit of form of late but is winless since June 2022.
LAOISMAN came up agonisingly short in his quest for a 4-timer at Windsor 3 weeks ago but that performance was another personal best and he can overcome a small rise in the weights. Star of Lady M and Ancient Times have leading jockeys taking over from claimers and head the opposition.
A good race for the grade but HARRY BROWN looks welll treated back on the AW. Star Of Lady M can chase him home.

Ought to be in the shake-up. Four-time course winner, including on last AW start; has defied higher marks. |

6th (13) (20/1 +0%) Meng Tian |
20/1(+0%) | (13) Meng Tian 20/1, C&D winner. 1 win from 3 runs this year. Fifth of 9 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good to soft, 9/2) 8 days ago, making effort earlier than ideal. Needs considering. Strike-rate could be better but he scored over C&D on most recent AW start. |

7th (9) (50/1 -100%) Cloch Nua |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (33/1 -230%) Love Is A Rose |
33/1(-230%) | (3) Love Is A Rose 33/1, Thrice-raced maiden. 150/1, first run since leaving Harry & Roger Charlton when tenth of 12 in maiden at Yarmouth (7f, good) 35 days ago. Up in trip. Makes handicap debut. Plenty to find. Has weak claims on form but is a possible improver now handicapping. |

9th (4) (11/1 +21%) King Sharja |
11/1(+21%) | (4) King Sharja 11/1, 28/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at Pontefract (8f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Easy to look elsewhere. Unconvincing form in handicaps but this drop to Class 6 may help. |

10th (8) (14/1 +13%) Masterpainter |
14/1(+13%) | (8) Masterpainter 14/1, Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Respectable seventh of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (8f, 11/2). Off 95 days. Can make presence felt. 0-7 on AW but posted a solid effort in February; has the ability to get involved. |

11th (6) (28/1 -12%) Plumette |
28/1(-12%) | (6) Plumette 28/1, 5-time course winner. Sixteen runs since last win in 2023. 10/1, creditable fifth of 12 in handicap at this course (7.2f) 22 days ago. Back up in trip and in the mix. Five-time course winner; losing run is mounting up but she is well treated on peak form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (10) (7/1 +22%) Enzos Angel |
7/1(+22%) | (10) Enzos Angel 7/1, Course winner. Winner here in February. Ninth of 13 in handicap (7/2) at Bath (10.2f, good) 11 days ago so needs to bounce back. Has produced best handicap form at this venue; disappointing elsewhere the last twice. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
The hat-trick seeking Billy McGarry is sure to have his supporters and the five-year-old merits respect in his current vein of form. However, a 6lb rise in the ratings for last month's C&D triumph could prove his undoing, with fellow in-form rival THOUGHTFUL GIFT shading the verdict. Jack Jones' mare races off the same mark as her recent close-up second at Lingfield and compensation could await. Odd Socks Havana could also feature.
A few with chances but Jack Jones' in-form mare THOUGHTFUL GIFT looks the way to go on the back of her very good Lingfield second. Masterpainter heads the list of dangers off a lenient mark, although in-form duo Carey Street and Plumette can also have a say in a competitive handicap.
Lingfield runner-up THOUGHTFUL GIFT is taken to go one better. Enzos Angel is second choice.

2nd (5) (7/2 -56%) Invincible Speed |
7/2(-56%) | (5) Invincible Speed 7/2, Winner at Wolverhampton in January. Good second of 9 in handicap at this C&D (AW, 2/1) 7 days ago, headed close home. Could be tough to peg back. Near miss over C&D last week but he did enjoy the run of the race; respected. |

11/2(+27%) | (3) Engineer 11/2, Raced exclusively on the AW so far, winning at Wolverhampton in November. Disappointing run when seventh of 9 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 75 days ago. Gelded since low-key run over 7f in March; 6f form offers hope and still low mileage. |

17/2(-55%) | (4) Mr Wonderful 17/2, First run since leaving Richard Hannon when very good third of 9 in handicap (9/2) at Newcastle (6f) 23 days ago. Makes polytrack debut and there could be more to come after just 4 starts. Good run at Newcastle on stable/h'cap debut latest; can do better after just four starts. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
This could be a good opportunity for INVINCIBLE SPEED, who bumped into the improving Mart (ran in the three-year-old Dash at Epsom on Saturday) when a neck second over C&D a week ago. James Tate's charge is able to compete off an unchanged mark and he is fancied to go one better at the main expense of Queen's Guard. The daughter of Havana Grey will appreciate the return to six furlongs and is noted along with Kodiac Thriller.
INVINCIBLE SPEED was reeled in late from this mark here a week ago but compensation may well await. Mr Wonderful should have more to offer for his new stable and is offered as the chief threat, ahead of Queen's Guard.
Queen's Guard can go well back at 6f but MR WONDERFUL (nap) made a pleasing stable and handicap debut and can rate higher.

13/2(+7%) | (9) Coast 13/2, C&D winner. 6/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at this C&D 36 days ago, hampered. Now 3 lb below last winning mark and she's one of the more appealing candidates. Four AW wins; mostly respectable form over C&D during a busy April; solid. |

11/1(+8%) | (8) Metal Beau 11/1, Lightly-raced maiden. 11/1, bit below form fifth of 9 in handicap at this course (7.2f). Off 108 days and likely to find one or two too good. Combination of wind surgery and new trip may prompt improvement; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (2) (50/1 -100%) Dunnington Lad |
50/1(-100%) | (2) Dunnington Lad 50/1, Ninth of 11 in handicap at Pontefract (5f, good, 40/1). Probably best watched back up in trip following an 11-month absence. Absent for 11 months; had wind surgery since last run; market can guide. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
With recent solid form thin on the ground, this could prove a suitable opportunity for RED WALLS to score over this track and trip for the second time this season. The Heeraat gelding is only 3lb higher than his victory here in April and he wasn't beaten far when fourth here the following month. The Stuart Kittow-trained Oriental Spirit is a potential fly in the ointment on his seasonal bow, while a wind operation could spark an improved bid from the unexposed Metal Beau.
COAST was in good order prior to a below-par display here last month and she has a good chance in a race devoid of a standout candidate. Next on the list is Dequinto, who put in a good shift at Brighton and a reproduction of that will give him a real chance. Oriental Spirit has solid form claims but he will probably come on for the run.
The suggestion is possible improver METAL BEAU, ahead of Dequinto.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
PHOENIX MOON didn't show much across her three qualifying runs, but it might be a different story now sent handicapping for the first time. She's bred to be better than an opening mark of 54 and the booking of Oisin Murphy, who boasts a creditable strike-rate for the yard, is a noteworthy one. Blacklion defeated Rinnovati (second) at Kempton last month, but the latter is now 4lb better off and could turn the tables.
RINNOVATI and Blacklion occupied the first two positions in a Kempton handicap recently and they may well dominate this, with marginal preference for the former to come out on top this time on these slightly better terms. Willowbank is another to consider up in trip.
Many of these need to show improvement and BLACKLION can repeat last month's Kempton win over Rinnovati.

15/2(+25%) | (8) Fantasy Navigator 15/2, Latest win at Newcastle in February. 6/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at Yarmouth (5.2f, good to firm) 42 days ago. Will have a chance if he puts his best foot forward. Both wins have been on the AW, latest at Newcastle in February; mixed form since. |

7th (1) (10/1 -100%) Kessaar Power |
10/1(-100%) | (1) Kessaar Power 10/1, Twenty runs since last win in 2023. Good second of 8 in handicap (11/1) at Yarmouth (6f, good to soft) 8 days ago. 2 lb lower back on the AW and should make his presence felt. Both wins were over 6f last year; runner-up on turf last time; not particularly reliable. |

8th (11) (28/1 -75%) Mutabaahy |
28/1(-75%) | (11) Mutabaahy 28/1, Unreliable type. 8-time course winner. Bit below form fifth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 22/1) 71 days ago. No more than an each-way squeak. Has won over 6f but most wins have been over 5f and isn't in the best of form at present. |

9th (9) (18/1 +28%) Rebel Redemption |
18/1(+28%) | (9) Rebel Redemption 18/1, C&D winner. Twenty-five runs since last win in 2022. 25/1, last of 9 in handicap at this C&D 36 days ago. Others preferred. Last two wins were over C&D in 2022; some fair runs since, but unreliable these days. |

10th (6) (25/1 -108%) Kodi Hawk |
25/1(-108%) | (6) Kodi Hawk 25/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Good fourth of 8 in handicap (66/1) at Chelmsford City (6f), nearest finish. Off 7 months and others make more appeal. Best form to date when fourth on handicap debut in October; chance, but hasn't run since. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Q Twenty Boy had Due Date (fourth) behind when hitting the frame in this grade at Chelmsford latest, and he should go well off an unchanged mark. However, the vote goes to ELDEYAAR, who was beaten just over a length into third at this level over track and trip last month and goes off the same rating. Antony Brittain's five-year-old looks ready to strike, while Kessaar Power is another to consider.
This looks wide open and the suggestion is BLUE COLLAR LAD, who boasts a good record at this course and he's 3 lb lower compared to when finishing third over C&D on his penultimate start. Eldeyaar performed with credit here last time and should be in the mix once again. He is second choice ahead of Due Date and Kessaar Power.
It could be worth taking a chance on KODI HAWK, who was a decent fourth in a fair race at Chelmsford on his handicap debut in October.

7/4(+30%) | (1) Camacho Man 7/4, Modest gelding. 14/1, career best when winning 12-runner handicap at Leicester (10f, good to soft) 8 days ago, driven clear. High on the shortlist. Impressive in 1m2f handicap on turf last week; strong claims under penalty at this level. |

2nd (10) (150/1 -500%) Piranheer |
150/1(-500%) | (10) Piranheer 150/1, Visored for 1st time, last of 12 in handicap (100/1) at this course (7f, AW) 7 days ago, slowly away. Significantly up in trip and he needs to bounce back in a major way. Struggled at big prices for current stable; marked step up in trip today. |

3rd (6) (7/2 +36%) Foinix |
7/2(+36%) | (6) Foinix 7/2, Modest gelding. One win from 22 Flat runs. Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. Blinkered for 1st time, seventh of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford City (14f, 9/1) 33 days ago, hampered. Visor back on. Chance on the pick of this year's efforts and Oisin Murphy is a notable booking. |

4th (11) (50/1 -100%) Savoy Brown |
50/1(-100%) | (11) Savoy Brown 50/1, Poor gelding. C&D winner. 9/1, creditable fifth of 9 in minor event at this C&D (AW). Off 102 days and it's easy enough to look elsewhere for win purposes. Two-time C&D winner but nothing in the last year suggests he was ready to win again. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (17/2 -21%) Laurentia |
17/2(-21%) | (8) Laurentia 17/2, Modest mare. First run since leaving Laura Mongan when winning 10-runner handicap at this course (10f, AW, 15/2) 33 days ago. 2 lb rise fair enough but she'll need to pull out more in order to follow up. Well backed when winning over 1m2f here on stable debut last month; stamina not assured. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (7) (33/1 -136%) Highland Flyer |
33/1(-136%) | (7) Highland Flyer 33/1, Modest gelding. 14/1, seventh of 11 in handicap at Bath (11.6f, good) 20 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. No more than an each-way squeak. Chance on last year's turf best but he's been well beaten in two starts at Bath this year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (11/1 -10%) Fighting Poet |
11/1(-10%) | (5) Fighting Poet 11/1, Modest gelding. Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. Creditable fifth of 11 in handicap (50/1) at Southwell (14.1f) 53 days ago. Place possibilities. 0-17 but effective over C&D and his reappearance in April was promising; each-way shout. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (5/1 +58%) Barneys Gift |
5/1(+58%) | (3) Barneys Gift 5/1, Modest gelding. Below form sixth of 11 in handicap (13/2) at Pontefract (8f, good to soft). Off 13 months and significantly up in trip on this debut for new yard. Starts out for new yard over a significantly longer trip after 398 days off. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (12/1 -33%) Crazy Maisie |
12/1(-33%) | (4) Crazy Maisie 12/1, Modest mare. 6¾ lengths eighth of 10 to Laurentia in handicap (12/1) at this course (10f, AW) 33 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and she'll be a threat if responding well to the headgear. Below par the last twice but this is weaker and she's not out of it on this winter's best. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (9) (10/1 +17%) Miss Sligo |
10/1(+17%) | (9) Miss Sligo 10/1, Modest mare. C&D winner. 9/1, sixth of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 52 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Capable at this level but her last three runs have been disappointing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (2) (66/1 -230%) Atwixaday |
66/1(-230%) | (2) Atwixaday 66/1, Modest gelding. 18/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (AW). Off 130 days and he's likely to find a few too good. Exposed eight-race maiden; needs to leave that form behind to get involved. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Following a near two-year absence, CAMACHO MAN made a promising return at Southwell in April. The Camacho gelding was able to step forward when winning in handicap company at Leicester eight days ago and this drop in class presents him with an excellent opportunity to follow up. Laurentia left it late to get up over 1m2f here last month and she must be of interest, while Fighting Poet heads the remainder.
The most appealing of these is CAMACHO MAN, who recently hit the target at Leicester on his second run since returning from a lengthy absence and he is taken to open his all-weather account off the same mark. Crazy Maisie was only sixth in the handicap won by Laurentia here last month but she has dipped to a dangerous mark and perhaps the addition of cheekpieces will help her to get back on track.
Fighting Poet looks set to go well but CAMACHO MAN impressed at Leicester last week and can give the weight away all round.

1st (5) (11/2 -38%) Golden Myrrh |
11/2(-38%) | (5) Golden Myrrh 11/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Sixth of 8 in handicap (5/4) at Nottingham (10.2f, good) 25 days ago. Makes tapeta debut. Others make more appeal now. Modest first three starts; 5-4 when 6th of 8 for handicap debut at Nottingham (1m2f, good). |

2nd (8) (28/1 -40%) Idyllic |
28/1(-40%) | (8) Idyllic 28/1, Thrice-raced maiden. Eighth of 10 in minor event at Kempton (7f, 150/1) 27 days ago. Significantly up in trip for this handicap debut and sizeable step forward needed. Makes handicap debut on step up in distance after three modest efforts. |

3rd (3) (15/2 -36%) Show Me A Hero |
15/2(-36%) | (3) Show Me A Hero 15/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Twelfth of 13 in handicap (5/1) at Newbury (10f, good) 18 days ago. Visored for the first time now switched to tapeta and he'll be a player if reproducing the form of his penultimate start at Yarmouth where he was a creditable third. Showed promise when third on handicap debut at Yarmouth in April and drops in class here.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (5/2 +25%) Con Te Partiro |
5/2(+25%) | (6) Con Te Partiro 5/2, C&D winner. 3 wins from 4 runs this year. Respectable second of 5 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f, 1/2) 47 days ago. Visor on 1st time and he should be in the thick of things. Won his first three handicaps this year; beaten at 1-2 last time but he's a contender.. |

5th (4) (7/2 +30%) One Cool Dreamer |
7/2(+30%) | (4) One Cool Dreamer 7/2, Lightly-raced maiden. Good fourth of 11 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm, 14/1) 22 days ago. 2 lb lower now switched to tapeta debut and should go close if his stamina holds out. Signs of promise in two handicaps this year; steps up in distance; claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (10/1 +50%) Etretat |
10/1(+50%) | (2) Etretat 10/1, 22/1, last of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (8.3f, good) 14 days ago. Looks vulnerable from a win point of view. Has made the frame three times this season on AW; has place claims.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (66/1 -164%) Seahorse Syd |
66/1(-164%) | (7) Seahorse Syd 66/1, Fifth of 6 in handicap at Beverley (9.9f, good, 9/1) 29 days ago and a similar outcome would appear likely here. Raced freely early on when well held at Beverley on his first start for seven months.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (4/1 +47%) Lumiere D'or |
4/1(+47%) | (1) Lumiere D'or 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Seventh of 11 in handicap (9/1) at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm) 22 days ago. Shouldn't be too far away but one or two of these appeal as more likely winners. Has shown ability in all four starts on AW; steps up in distance and may improve.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (33/1 -313%) Bella Grazia |
33/1(-313%) | (10) Bella Grazia 33/1, Eighth of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (12f, AW, 6/1) 19 days ago. Down in trip and blinkers on 1st time. Not without each-way hope. Upped to 1m4f when third on handicap/seasonal debut last month; below form since.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Con Te Partiro suffered a costly defeat when being denied by just under two lengths into second over 1m2f at Chelmsford in April, but he should remain competitive. However, he could come out second best again, this time to ONE COOL DREAMER, who took a step forward from his first start in handicaps when finishing fourth over a mile at Windsor last month. The son of Oasis Dream could progress further for this step up in distance and he looks the way to go, while Idyllic is noted too.
This step up in trip may help ONE COOL DREAMER and he gets the nod on the back of a solid effort in a slightly higher-grade handicap at Windsor. Con Te Partiro is an obvious threat given his winning spree in recent months and while he was turned over when odds on at Chelmsford last time, Richard Spencer's charge remains on a plausible mark. Show Me A Hero is best of the rest.
A trappy race to close. A chance is taken on SHOW ME A HERO to win his first race. The main danger appears to be Golden Myrrh.
Ths is the racecard key.
