13:30 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Meng Tian finally took advantage of a slide in the ratings when scoring at Wolverhampton and could go well again, while Alibaba returned to the turf with a second over track and trip last month and is another to consider. TONAL also found one too good when favourite at Chelmsford last week but he gets another chance here with William Buick taking over the reins. Perovskia has plenty of scope handicapping for the first time and is worth a second glance.

MENG TIAN delivered a telling late challenge at Wolverhampton last time and, given that he came from so far back, he probably won with more in hand than the margin of victory would suggest. As such, a 2 lb rise is easy to swallow and he is taken to provide the in-form Oisin Murphy with another winner. Kodebreaker is next on the list ahead of handicap debutante Perovskia and Alibaba, who was a solid second over C&D last time. Tonal has a bit to prove back on turf.

Preference is for C&D winner ALIBABA, who was a close second off a reduced mark here last month. Tonal is feared most.

13:45 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having recorded a double at Chelmsford this month, Amaysmont is sure to prove popular in his hat-trick bid. However, the combination of a 4lb penalty and switch to the turf could prove his undoing, with ASADJUMEIRAH edging the vote. The six-year-old's mark continues to tumble and his latest fifth at Doncaster suggests he may be ready to strike off this 2lb lower mark. Odd Socks Havana and Sunny Orange are also noted.

In-form pair AMAYSMONT and Odd Socks Havana probably haven't been done any favours by the draw but are hard to get away from, with Kevin Frost's charge taken to get the hat-trick up. The unexposed Brazen Rascal is interesting on his return.

Rebecca Menzies' course scorer ODD SOCKS HAVANA is taken to quickly resume winning ways on the back of his excellent Newcastle second.

13:55 Leicester Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a race with little winning form, CORSICAN CAPER could be worth another chance despite disappointing in his hat-trick bid when fourth at Salisbury. That was his third start in 11 days and may have come too soon, but a three-week break could see him back to his best. Dubai Immo is the only other recent winner and has to be of interest trying this trip for the first time, while Hot Team likes a bit of cut in the ground and could surprise a few.

DUBAI IMMO has made a positive start for new trainer William Stone and it might be worth chancing his stamina now stepping up to 1½m for the first time. Corsican Caper has been in fine form this spring and is feared most ahead of Foursome.

Dubai Immo is running well and should go close but CHURCHILL ROSE has good solid form this year and can win again.

14:00 Yarmouth Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

El Burhan makes most appeal of those with racecourse experience having debuted at Newmarket earlier this month. Archie Watson won this last year with a newcomer, so Van Aert should be noted along with Dr T H G, a half-brother to four winners. However, ATTACK cost 460,000 euros as the first foal out of a Group 1 winner and it would be no surprise if he proved good enough at the first time of asking.

EL BURHAN shaped well under a considerate ride when fourth on his recent debut at Newmarket and he is taken to put that experience to good use here. Newcomer Attack looks the part on paper and is clear second choice ahead of another likely-looking debutant in Van Aert. Big Cyril and Dr T H G also make some appeal on paper and Bretton Wood has shown ability in his two starts and should pick up a race before long.

Attack is a choice-looking newcomer for the Gosdens but the experience of EL BURHAN swings the vote the latter's way.

14:05 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The Wise Traveller is twice a course and distance winner, having scored in February and November 2023, but off lower marks. He can go well with Jamie Gambin claiming 10lb off his back, but may struggle to get the better of THE BOLD THADY. The selection won narrowly at Fontwell last time under the same jockey, despite being repeatedly hampered, and an extra 4lb may not stop him now. Mistral Blue steps up in trip and is of some interest assuming she stays.

The step up in trip should suit ENDOFCONVERSATION, who offered more here last time and remains low mileage. The Bold Thady isn't straightforward but rates the chief threat nonetheless.

He was a disappointment over fences but OFF TO A FLYER has a touch of class about him and could be hard to beat back over hurdles.

JUNGLE LAND lost little in defeat when finding only a smart newcomer too strong in a class 3 maiden at Newcastle last time out. A return to these calmer waters can only help the gelded son of Kodiac and compensation could await. Tourist and Rainwater make the shortlist on all known form, while Cash In showed enough on his debut to suggest that he has a future.

A big field but only a handful of these make any serious appeal, JUNGLE LAND selected to go one better than on both previous outings with better still to come. Rainwater and Tourist could be the dangers.

Karl Burke's son of Kodiac JUNGLE LAND has gone with promise to finish second on both his recent starts and he can go one better now.

14:20 Cartmel Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Formerly a capable sort on the Flat for Jessica Harrington, IRISH LULLABY improved from first to second start over hurdles when scoring comfortably at Warwick earlier in the month. The five-year-old should be able to handle a 7lb penalty, and she gets the vote ahead of Spit Spot, who has finished second on three of her last five starts. Disco Annie is another to bear in mind.

This looks between IRISH LULLABY and Spit Spot, with ready preference for the former, who boasts the superior Flat form and has made a very positive start over hurdles. Spit Spot has failed to build on the promise she initially showed in this sphere but will be a threat if able to get back on track following a wind operation. Bumper winner Thatswhatshesaid is most interesting of the remainder.

A smart Flat performer, IRISH LULLABY won in good style at Warwick last time and should follow up with a penalty.

14:30 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Baynoona looks interesting on her debut for Harry Charlton after a third at Wolverhampton for David Simcock, but a mark of 70 looks high enough for her handicap debut and she may have to settle for a place. BORN A REBEL travelled well when winning on her return at Yarmouth and although upped in class and 5lb, may be capable of a second success, while Last Empress was beaten a length at odds of 100/1 last time out and is clearly improving fast.

A few interesting unexposed types here, particularly BAYNOONA who has switched to the in-form Harry Charlton stable ahead of this handicap debut. The fact that Salamanca City went off favourite on her Kempton handicap debut suggests she's thought capable of better by the James Fanshawe team so she's second choice ahead of Yarmouth winner Born A Rebel. Last Empress is another interesting recruit to the handicap ranks.

Several of these can be expected to improve in their first handicap but preference is for BORN A REBEL who has already passed that test.

There was very little between Miss Gitana and Rogue King when they filled the places at Beverley last time and that pair are hard to separate. Wolverhampton winner MY NOBLE LORD failed to land the odds when upped to 1m6f at Wetherby last month, but it's too soon to write off Michael Bell's charge and he gets another chance dropping back down in distance.

MISS GITANA is going the right way and was only narrowly denied at Beverley earlier this month. She can open her account. Rogue King acquitted himself well in the same contest and rates the chief threat, whilst My Noble Lord also warrants respect.

Prescott-trained MISS GITANA can gain her first win after this month's fine second at Beverley. Rogue King can give her most to do.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

REALISTIC OPTIMISM has been off the track since his half-length second in a Listowel bumper in September 2022 and his hurdling debut is eagerly anticipated on his first start for Jamie Snowden. Cusano let favourite backers down when fourth at Ludlow after some sketchy hurdling but is expected to have learned from that making him a big danger, while Zodiac Star is an alternative to the more obvious suggestions.

CUSANO underperformed on hurdling debut at Ludlow but he showed plenty on the Flat and is in good hands, so he's worth a chance to improve on that and open his account over hurdles. Realistic Optimism is a threat despite a lengthy absence and Ikigai Star isn't one to rule out.

This hurdling debut comes after a long absence but REALISTIC OPTIMISM looked very promising in Irish bumpers in 2022.

14:50 Redcar Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Judged by his fine second in a competitive 21-runner sprint at York recently, veteran DAKOTA GOLD clearly still retains plenty of ability. A 2lb rise in the ratings looks more than fair for that performance and a return to winning ways likely beckons. C&D winner Secret Guest is feared most after a close-up third at Thirsk earlier this month, while Bay Breeze is entitled to build on his fourth-placed seasonal bow at Ripon.

A small field but there's plenty of intrigue, SECRET GUEST selected to notch a fifth career success having ran a cracker when third at Thirsk on return just 9 days ago. Clearly still an interesting sprint handicapper, he can get the better of Dakota Gold, who showed there's still plenty of life left in his 10-y-o legs when finishing runner-up at York earlier this month.

Bryan Smart's SECRET GUEST is able to race off the same mark as when an excellent 3rd at Thirsk and is taken to resume winning ways

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

An eye-catching second on his first run for new connections at Kilbeggan recently, LISNAMULT LAD looks to have been laid out for this contest and a further rise in distance should suit the son of Court Cave. Take No Chances has an 8lb rise to overcome for a taking success at Uttoxeter, while El Jefe steps markedly up in trip after success in a valuable handicap at Aintree.

Plenty with claims here, including LIHYAN, who continued his progress when scoring at Market Rasen earlier this month and remains feasibly treated. Lisnamult Lad and Wonderwall head the list of dangers.

In a competitive handicap, a chance is taken on WILLASTON, who won twice last spring and comes here fresh having not run since March.

15:05 Leicester Stakes (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Signalman was all at sea on the soft ground at Salisbury when sent off favourite on his return, but the quicker surface expected here might see him in a better light. He can go well as can Fox Legacy, whose Kempton fourth looks decent now with the winner and others scoring since. Both could get involved, but preference is still for MATSURI. He ran on well to win over the Kempton mile despite struggling for a clear passage, and should be even better at this trip.

MATSURI looks a promising 3-y-o for Roger Varian and should take the beating if ready to go. Atlantic Convoy could have a lot more to offer and is respected. Watfah heads up a trio of interesting newcomers from top yards.

There is no strong temptation to oppose MATSURI, who ran to a useful level when winning at Kempton in the autumn.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CLOCKMAKER posted an encouraging effort on his racecourse bow when runner-up to the subsequent Chester Vase winner Hidden Law. David Simcock's gelding was comfortably clear of the rest that day and can give a respectful nod to his ill-fated conquerer with a win here. Theory Of Tides has a penalty for his Nottingham success, so Steel Tiger, second over C&D on debut, is feared more with cheekpieces added.

This has the look of a useful novice and THEORY OF TIDES is taken to remain unbeaten. He was green but won cosily on debut at Nottingham recently and is open to significant progress. Clockmaker made a very bright start at Newbury and will be winning before long. Liam Swagger, Steel Tiger and Tactician all demand respect too.

Several have claims but top of the list is CLOCKMAKER, who chased home a subsequent Group 3 winner on his Newbury debut last month.

15:15 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Chess Player won this last year under Beau Morgan, but he has to race off 10lb higher in the handicap and his jockey claims 2lb less than he could in 2023. He can still go well in this small field, but a chance is taken on the less experienced BREAKING COVER. Second on his chasing debut at Southwell, the six-year-old was going well before falling three out at Taunton and could make amends now. Great Samourai and Fanfan Du Seuil are others to at least consider.

If BREAKING COVER is none the worse for his Taunton spill he looks the one beat. Great Samourai can extend his run of good efforts for his new stable and fill the forecast spot ahead of last year's winner Chess Player.

Set to be involved in the shake-up before falling in the home straight at Taunton last month, BREAKING COVER can get compensation here.

This could go to a newcomer, with FLY LIBERTY FLY preferred to Hickton and Educating Rita before betting clues. Jm Jhingree is the pick of those with experience with the form of his Thirsk debut run working out.

This can go to JM JHINGREE whose promising fifth of 13 on his Thirsk debut has received a couple of boosts in the meantime.

15:30 Cartmel Handicap Chase (Class 3) 29f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

This can go the way of MILL GREEN, who shaped encouragingly over the smaller obstacles at Exeter on his penultimate start and may be suited by this extreme distance going back over fences. Nicky Henderon's charge may have too much for Welsh Saint, who ran his best race for some time when second at Downpatrick latest. Punitive is a player based on the pick of his form too.

This could be a good opportunity for the classy MILL GREEN. Irish raider Welsh Saint may give him most to think about.

The suggestion is MILL GREEN, who didn't run very well over hurdles at Chelteham in March but is very much the class act in this field.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An eye-catcher on debut at Goodwood last August when starting slowly and staying on into fourth, KITTY FURNIVAL looks just the type to improve for going up in trip, and she gets the vote in this competitive affair. A son of the Group 3 winner Klassique, newcomer Regal Connection should be monitored for market support, while the same can be said of Castle Cove, who hails from a family that trainer William Haggas knows well.

Charlie Appleby continues to enjoy plenty of success with newcomers and REGAL CONNECTION makes lots of appeal first time up. Kitty Furnival should progress from her first run at Goodwood last summer if all is well. Castle Cove is another notable debutant.

It might pay to give another chance to CHORTAL who made a slightly underwhelming debut, but ought to improve.

15:45 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A short-head second over C&D on his seasonal debut in a race that has been well advertised by the third winning a valuable race at Ascot since, HOVER ON THE WIND is hard to oppose, especially as he went one better with an all-the-way romp back here 23 days ago. It will take a good one to stop him following up, despite a 6lb higher mark. Rhythmic Acclaim and Watermelon Sugar appear to be the two most capable of spoiling the party.

HOVER ON THE WIND finally got the job done when making every post a winning one over this C&D last time and, on that evidence, a 6 lb rise is unlikely to be enough to prevent him from going in again. Fellow last-time-out scorer Watermelon Sugar could be the one to follow the selection home, ahead of Rhythmic Acclaim.

The vote goes to HOVER ON THE WIND (nap), who won by 4l over C&D last time and is not weighted out of it despite going back up 6lb.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although unable to complete a double when staying on into third over an extended 2m2f at Stratford earlier this month, GARITSA BAY posted a respectable effort in defeat on that occasion. Ian Williams' charge should relish this rise in distance and compensation could await. The biggest danger may emerge from Warner's Cross, who was only beaten a length on his reappearance third at Market Rasen recently, while C&D scorer Wrong Way Harry lurks on an attractive mark.

SMALL BAD BOB bumped into a much-improved rival from the Paul Nicholls yard when runner-up at Plumpton recently and, on the assumption that Mr Hope Street doesn't go to post, he gets the nod. Far Sight and Garitsa Bay rate the main dangers but Warner's Cross is also worth a second look.

Now that the penny has finally dropped for LOCHABER after a taking success in a seller at Beverley recently, Karl Burke's charge may be able to follow up back in handicap company. Northerner has shown plenty of ability on both starts this season and she is of interest on her handicap debut, likewise Glory Hyde, was wasn't beaten far over C&D last time out.

LOCHABER has reacted well to cheekpieces and positive tactics the last twice and, having landed a seller at Beverley last time, he's worth a chance to make a successful return to handicaps at the possible expense of Glory Hyde, who arrives in good order. Ticktyboo is another one to consider.

Marginal preference is for SOUTH PARADE who looked to be progressing until fluffing her lines at Wolverhampton and can return in style

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

There was plenty to like about BOOMBAWN's chase bow when scoring a shade cosily at Warwick earlier this month. The gelded son of Dylan Thomas enters handicaps in this sphere off what looks a workable mark and he's taken to follow up. The biggest threat may emerge from recent Kempton runner-up Onemorefortheroad, who races off 3lb lower in the ratings. C&D scorer Al Zaraqaan is noted too.

BOOMBAWN created an excellent impression when making a winning chasing debut at Warwick and he's open to a good deal of improvement, so he gets the nod over Onemorefortheroad, who arrives in good order. Pay The Piper is another one to consider.

The 7yo BOOMBAWN (nap) was quite impressive when winning on his chasing debut at Warwick and is taken to follow up.

16:15 Leicester Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LAW SUPREME made a strong attempt to land a double over C&D last time out and he sets the standard on the form he has shown this season. Runner-up on two of his last three outings, Harswell Duke is a key player, along with Where's Freddy, who was slightly unlucky when hampered at Yarmouth. Others to note include Hakuna Babe, Indemnity and Prophet's Dream.

Perhaps Roger Varian's INDEMNITY can click at the second time of asking in handicaps. Law Supreme was a good second over C&D last time and should go well again, while Hakuna Babe was a remote second in the mud at Salisbury last time but it's surely only a matter of time before Ed Walker finds the key to her.

Low-mileage 4yo INDEMNITY ran better than his finishing position suggests when fifth on his handicap debut and drops in grade here.

16:20 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lingfield maiden scorer RASCAL RECKNELL was heading in the right direction when last seen in February and he could take some stopping if picking up where he left off. The Wootton Bassett colt enters handicaps off what looks a fair opening mark and he may have enough in hand to fend off fellow last-time-out winner Mister Mojito. Despite a rise in class, Terry Kent's three-year-old likely has more to offer, while War Bride and Jungle Mac aren't easily dismissed.

MRS MORRELL will be suited by this extra furlong now switched to turf and can come out on top. North View caught the eye at Ascot and is a player in first-time cheekpieces. C&D winner Mister Mojito and Jungle Mac are respected also.

An open race in which handiap newcomer RASCAL RECKNELL gets the vote ahead of last month's C&D winner Mister Mojito.

16:25 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hamartia is sure to prove popular after her respectable runner-up effort at Ffos Las earlier this month and Neil Mulholland's mare must enter calculations. Preference, however, is for OUR BILL'S AUNT. The eight-year-old stayed on encouragingly from the rear to finish second on her chase bow at Market Rasen recently and she could find enough improvement to land a race of this nature. Moon Eagle is also likely to feature in these calmer waters.

HAMARTIA has made a good start over fences for Neil Mulholland and can get off the mark. Our Bill's Aunt and Moon Eagle rate the principal dangers.

Moon Eagle is respected at this level but preference is for OUR BILL'S AUNT with the longer trip in her favour.

16:30 Ballinrobe Conditions Hurdle 18f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Willie Mullins has landed three of the last five renewals of this race and WINTER FOG looks another prime contender. He is advantaged by these weights with Kieran Callaghan's claim factored in. This trip and ground shouldn't inconvenience him, and he has four victories over flights in his locker. No Looking Back has faced some stiff tasks in Grade 1 company, but is more than capable of making an impact in this company as shown by a runner-up berth in a Grade 3 novice hurdle at Naas last year. Beacon Edge ran a stormer when just pipped on the line at the Punchestown Festival. He would prefer a longer trip, though, and plenty of rain.

Probably a match between WINTER FOG and Beacon Edge, with the first-named just preferred for Willie Mullins.

BEACON EDGE has run two fine races in defeat lately and should have a fitness advantage so just gets the nod over Winter Fog.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The Johnston yard has won this three times in the last eight years suggesting Qitaal could go well. Beaten a neck by MAGHLAAK at Goodwood, he is 1lb better off now but the winner was having his first start after a long lay-off and may come on for the run, making him the one to beat. Machete is an interesting French import and one to watch on his first start for David O'Meara.

BYSTANDER hasn't finished improving and shaped well at Newmarket last time, so he's the one to side with returning to a trip that suits. Maghlaak is an obvious threat following his Goodwood success and Qitaal isn't without hope.

Alpha Crucis can go well but MAGHLAAK (nap) should come on for his recent Goodwood win and is still improving.

The Warren Greatrex-trained gelding has tasted success at this course in the past and he ticks plenty of the right boxes. Fellow track scorer Arthur's Quay could also get competitive dropping in class and isn't taken lightly, while chase debutant Will Carver may improve for going over a fence.

LINE OF DESCENT has scored here before and arrives on the back of a good effort at Ffos Las, so he's the most solid option. Vintage Fizz and Arthur's Quay should both be tuned up after a break and look the biggest dangers.

In a race that doesn't make much appeal the vote goes to course winner LINE OF DESCENT who was a good third at Ffos Las last time.

16:45 Leicester Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Stepping back up in trip looks like a good move for SERGEANT WILKO, having scored with authority over this distance on his penultimate outing at Newcastle. Kevin Ryan's charge remains unexposed, and it may be the talented Flaccianello that gives him the most to think about on her first run since contesting a Listed race last October. The class-dropping Topanga and Macanudo are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

FLACCIANELLO generally went the right way last season and she has some physical scope, so it would be no surprise if she returned a better 3-y-o and landed this. Sergeant Wilko should benefit from the return to this trip and is likely to be back on his game, while Almarada Prince isn't one to rule out.

Topweight MAYO NEIGHS acts well on soft ground and he should have a good run in him now returned to sprinting.

16:50 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Dion Baker capitalised on a career-low mark when digging deep to score at Brighton recently and another bold bid is forecast. However, the combination of a 5lb penalty and a quick turnaround could leave the five-year-old vulnerable. With that in mind, it could be worth taking a chance on SIR OLIVER, who has tasted success over C&D in the past and is reverting to turf off a reduced rating. An improved bid from Resonance in a first-time visor is also plausible.

BEYLERBEYI went close over 1m here last month and could be the way to go with William Buick up. Market support for the returning Windsor Pass would be interesting, while Brighton-winner Dion Baker and Sir Oliver are respected also.

The vote goes to DION BAKER, who beat a clear second at Brighton last week and is a big player if he can repeat that form.

16:55 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SALVATORE put his odds-on defeat at Plumpton in March behind him when landing the spoils at Kempton the following month. The gelded son of Helmet appeared to score with something in hand and a 5lb rise in the ratings is unlikely to be the ceiling of his ability. Fellow last-time-out winner Ez Tiger is the biggest danger, ahead of Sanitiser, who has posted a creditable second at Hereford since finishing in third behind the selection at the Surrey venue.

SALVATORE belatedly showed more like his Flat form faced with less testing conditions when getting off the mark in this sphere at Kempton 5 weeks ago and with improvement on the cards, Harry Derham's charge appeals as the type who could well run up a sequence. Another couple of last-time-out winners King Otis and Ez Tiger can chase him home in that order.

It's likely there's plenty more to come from SALVATORE (nap) who should be hard to beat. Sanitiser is next best.

17:00 Ballinrobe Maiden Hurdle 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FIND A FORTUNE has put together a sequence of '2232' in maiden hurdles, so wouldn't be winning out of turn. Perhaps this trip can see him home as he has been racing over further in his last three outings. Churchroad Prince has to rate a danger back at this trip. His best performance to date came when he was beaten by a neck over an extended 2m7f at Punchestown in January. Former point-to-point winner Marv Michael has been placed twice over hurdles and very testing ground didn't appear to suit him in Limerick. Talk In The Park represents an in-form stable while Kerlogue is one of the more interesting hurdling debutants.

Having finished runner-up on his hurdling debut back in January, CHURCHROAD PRINCE is fancied to go a place better at the expense of Find A Fortune, who kept up his run of placings at Cork recently and may have to settle for a silver for a fourth time in this sphere. Talk In The Park can edge out Marv Michael for third in what looks a weak maiden.

As far as reliability goes Find A Fortune wins this hands down but CHURCHROAD PRINCE could have slightly better battling qualities

17:10 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A tricky race to solve but one that may head the way of GOING UNDERGROUND, who is yet to win on the turf but was beaten less than a length at Wetherby off 1lb higher when last seen in June last year. His stable are in among the winners and he could surprise if he is ready to roll after his absence. Irv is an obvious danger after his Wolverhampton victory, while Sameem drops in class and could go close.

It's worth taking a chance on the fitness of SAMEEM, who hasn't made a winning seasonal reappearance subsequent to the 2019 campaign but, unlike several of these, there will be no question marks surrounding him if the ground is on the slow side, as seems likely. The 8-y-o signed off last season on a winning note at Catterick and while that was over 1¾m, he's effective at this trip, too. Irv did the job well at Wolverhampton last month and he is feared most ahead of Life On The Rocks.

Not many of these can be fancied but IRV can win again after taking advantage of a low mark last time. \Eva Rosie\p is second best.

17:15 Cartmel Hunter Chase (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A dual winner between the flags, GREAT COLEWOOD made a promising debut over regulation fences when fifth at Chepstow last month. This shorter trip should suit and a bold bid is expected. Ultra Viers has bits of form under Rules and could be in the mix, while the likes of Bellaney Lord, Buy Some Time, Willewonga and the unexposed Unexpected Edge have all been in winning form in point-to-points recently.

The level GREAT COLEWOOD achieved in a decent hunter at Chepstow last month might be good enough in this maiden. Point winners Buy Some Time, Unexpected Edge and Bellaney Lord may give him most to think about.

The choice is BELLANEY LORD who has been in decent form pointing this year. Willewonga also has a chance if the rain stays away.

17:20 Leicester Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALLONSY gave notice that she would be winning sooner rather than later when just missing out at Windsor on her handicap debut. Ralph Beckett's filly can go one better in this and confirm that form with Pique' in the process. College Choir may well improve with cheekpieces applied, while Maritime Lady makes her handicap bow for a yard in good form and can also get involved.

ALLONSY improved for the step up to this trip when runner-up on handicap debut at Windsor a month ago and she's capable of better still, so she gets the nod over College Choir, who could have more to offer in first-time cheekpieces. Pique' also remains with potential for an in-form yard.

Ralph Beckett's ALLONSY (nap) can gain compensation for a narrow defeat on her handicap debut at Windsor last month.

17:30 Ballinrobe Handicap Hurdle 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A very competitive race. WESTERN WALK's close fourth in a higher grade at Punchestown entitles him to plenty of respect. He has winning form over further which will stand to him if this turns into a battle. There is one of these good pots in West Is Awake and he represents a shrewd stable. Champion conditional Danny Gilligan's 3lb claim is a bonus. Given the form of Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue, Toto Too merits a second look. This is a marked step up in trip for him, but he has a decent win ratio. Winning Smut, Brampton Belle and Junior Rattler add further spice to the mix.

WESTERN WALK resumed progress when fourth in a more competitive race than this at Punchestown last time and he's still not fully exposed, so he's preferred to last-time-out winner Junior Rattler in an open-looking contest. Winning Smut is also of interest.

Western Walk and Junior Rattler are big dangers but BRAMPTON BELLE is given the nod to exploit her unexposed edge at this game.

Attitash travels over from Ireland with a shout, though SEAN OG may prove the one to side with back over the smaller obstacles following his runner-up effort in a chase at Sedgefield earlier in the month.

If able to at least match the form of his recent reappearance effort over fences, SEAN OG could be the answer back in this sphere. He remains feasibly treated and shades preference ahead of Hobb's Delight and City Derby.

The vote goes to SECRET SECRET who was pretty impressive when winning at Kelso in November. Hobb's Delight is next best.

17:55 Leicester Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Crazy Crackers finished in front of Haaf A Diamond when fourth over track and trip last time and should be thereabouts once again, while Moon Over The Sea will appreciate this return to a longer trip. That said, STINTINO SUNSET was a third at Yarmouth last month and the runner-up has since boosted that form by winning. With Luke Catton's 5lb allowance helping her cause, she gets the vote to get her head back in front.

MOON OVER THE SEA has form figures of 112 when partnered by Rossa Ryan this year and might prove the answer to this wide-open finale. Haaf A Diamond, Crazy Crackers and Stintino Sunset head the many possible dangers.

This can go to C&D winner STINTINO SUNSET who did not get a clear run when placed on last month's turf return at Yarmouth.

18:00 Ballinrobe Maiden Chase 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ZENTA is taken to bounce back from a below-par effort at this track three weeks ago. She was a Grade 1 winner over flights on her way to a rating of 145, so there should be plenty more to come from her in this discipline. She has only had two runs over fences, so there is time for her to put it all together. Mighty Tom's hurdle mark wasn't far off Zenta and he has been highly tried over fences. He ought to appreciate this company. Walk In The Park mare Splashing Out has been generally consistent over hurdles and should have a future at steeplechasing, while Extrapolation and Hypotenus can get in the mix.

MIGHTY TOM made a decent fist of things in a listed handicap chase at Punchestown and can take this maiden. Zenta is the obvious danger despite flopping here 3 weeks ago.

Zenta and MIGHTY TOM set the standard, with youth versus maturity on the line, and on this occasion the 9yo is preferred

18:30 Ballinrobe Handicap Chase 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

AIME DESJY will be suited by the forecast rain and has form in smart handicap chases. A course bumper winner, his chasing ability seems better than his hurdling form and having run well in the 24-runner Topham Chase at Aintree, again ran well in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown. He stays well and has a nice weight. Top weight Salvador Ziggy's rider claims 7lb and while he pulled up the hot National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham festival, had previously finished second in September's Kerry National. He goes on summer soft but would ideally prefer good. Ex-hunter chaser Romeo Magico debuts in handicaps wearing a first-time hood and can compete from a low weight.

ROMEO MAGICO has done well in hunter chases this spring and looks a very interesting recruit to the handicap ranks for Emmet Mullins. Rachael Blackmore has been booked and this unexposed 6-y-o can see off a strong Gordon Elliott contingent, headed by last year's winner Tullybeg and Frontal Assault. Recent Killarney National runner-up Stealthy Tom completes the shortlist.

Last year's winner TULLYBEG looks to have been targetted at a repeat and that planning can come off, though rain wouldn't help.

19:00 Ballinrobe Handicap Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JACKSONS GOLD is a 10-year-old maiden fourth-season novice chaser but, almost contradictory, appears unexposed and well handicapped. Some of his early hurdling form was good, defeating Easter's Irish National fourth Frontal Assault to win at Thurles in 2020 while his recent chase form is also strong. In March he finished third to high-class Tactical Move and conceded weight to the useful runner-up, while at Tipperary in April he chased home Pinkerton, which subsequently won at the Punchestown festival. Bythesametoken drops in grade from the Aintree festival last month and while he isn't ahead of the handicapper and steps up slightly in distance,, had good form last year. Last year's winner Whatsafellatodo should strip fitter following a recent encouraging reappearance course run.

WHATSAFELLATODO and Jacksons Gold could be the pair to concentrate on, with marginal preference for the former who landed this race 12 months ago and should come on for his reappearance spin here 20 days ago. Bythesametoken is best of the rest.

19:30 Ballinrobe NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SAN FRANCO is a half-brother to her yard's Grade 2 bumper winner Santa Rossa and encouragingly debuts aged four. From the second crop of his late sire, his trainer has a useful 14 percent strike-rate in bumpers and today's capable rider claims 7lb. Kalix Delabarriere is by Vauban's sire, was a 90,000-euros store purchase last June and represents last year's winning trainer and jockey (with Mystical Power). Out of a five-time Listed-placed miler, he too could be smart. Paddy Twomey has his first NH runner since March 2020 with Seo Linn, which makes a somewhat belated debut at a staying distance for a Flat-bred filly. She is a half-sister to nine winners, including an Italian Derby runner-up.

KALIX DELABARRIERE makes obvious appeal on paper for his top stable that have taken this twice in recent years and he can make a winning start. Tonaghneave Well can improve after his Down Royal run, while Seo Linn is another interesting newcomer.

Preference is for SEO LINN, a rare runner in this sphere for Paddy Twomey and she is likely to be well primed.
