(6) Onlyamatteroftime 8/11, Bumper winner for N. Madden but hasn't been the most straightforward over hurdles. However, he produced his best effort for his current yard when runner-up in handicap at Ballinrobe (22.4f) last month. Holds leading claims back in maiden company.
By no means straightforward but he brings strong form credentials back into a maiden.

(3) G A Henty 4/1, Lightly-raced 7-y-o who shaped well on first run since leaving Tom George when second in a maiden at Market Rasen (20.6f) in January. Possibly unsuited by conditions in handicaps both starts since, so he's worth another chance back on less testing ground.
Feasible excuses in two handicaps since going close in a Market Rasen maiden.

(2) Espoir Des Forges 7/1, Sent off favourite when pulled up only start in points and was again prominent in the betting (10/3) on his hurdling debut, showing ability when third of 14 in maiden at this C&D last month. Enters calculations with his yard in good form.
Fair third over C&D last month but looks vulnerable here from a win perspective.

(4) Minella Miracle 9/1, Runner-up on last of 3 starts in Irish points but just modest form in bumpers for Thomas Gallagher. After 5 months off, in need of the experience when third in maiden at Stratford (16.3f) on hurdling/stable debut 13 days ago, so he could take a step forward.
Stepping up from 2m should suit but he needs to improve on his Stratford form.

14:08 Warwick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ONLYAMATTEROFTIME could quite justify even-money when filling the runner-up spot over an extended 2m6f in a Ballinrobe handicap last month and the drop in trip looks a good move. Willie Mullins' eight-year-old sets the standard with a rating of 115 and he is difficult to oppose back in maiden company. G A Henty could only manage fifth in a class 3 handicap at Huntingdon but needs to be respected against this level of opposition. Espoir Des Forges is another to consider after his third over C&D.

ONLYAMATTEROFTIME ran his most encouraging race since joining Willie Mullins when second in a Ballinrobe handicap last time and he could be ready to go one better for his leading yard. G A Henty has possibly found the ground softer than ideal on his last 2 starts so is feared most back on a sounder surface, ahead of Espoir des Forges.

The Mullins raider ONLYAMATTEROFTIME isn't one for the faint-hearted given his quirks but the ability is there to win a maiden.

14:20 Ayr Maiden (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SHY HI BYE was headed in the dying strides when touched off at Newcastle on her final start of last season. William Haggas' filly looks the type to do better with that experience under her belt and she is taken to make a winning reappearance. The biggest threat may emerge from Mutamanni, who offered something to work with on his fourth-placed debut at Yarmouth earlier in the month. Strike Rate should fare better on this drop in trip.

William Haggas' Lope De Vega filly SHY HI BYE possesses much the best form on show and can open her account here at the chief expense of Mutamanni who rates the biggest threat on the back of his recent debut Yarmouth fourth. Jim Goldie's newcomer Bebeto appeals as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

Mutamanni should step up markedly second time out but AW second SHY HI BYE brings easily the best form to this weak race.

14:30 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SMART CHARGER was a strong fancy on his seasonal return/debut run for Alan King at Southwell last month and ran admirably to finish a close second over 1m4f that day. A try over this longer trip now appears a logical move and the four-year-old can reward any faithful supporters by going one place better. Vision Of Hope has won on the all-weather off his current mark and also appeals after a near miss here last time. Philos and Kindgirl complete the shortlist.

SMART CHARGER showed improved form on his debut for this yard at Southwell last time and, likely to be sharper for it, he's worth a chance to go one better at the possible expense of recent Chelmsford winner Beggarman. Vision of Hope is another one to be interested in.

The 4yo maiden SMART CHARGER is taken to build on his Southwell effort and get off the mark. Tigerten is second choice.

14:38 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CITY ROLLER finished more than two lengths clear of the third over an extended 2m2f at Stratford earlier in the month and is only 2lb higher. The six-year-old may appreciate this drop in distance and he can go one better, with his main threat possibly Come To Pass, who was a fair fourth at Hereford and more can be expected under Brian Hughes off 2lb lower. Of the remainder, No More Bolero makes the most appeal on his handicap debut over hurdles.

A wind operation and a sounder surface are a couple of reasons why pretty useful German Flat performer NO MORE BOLERO might step up on his previous hurdle efforts now handicapping for the first time. Recent Stratford runner-up City Roller should get involved again, while Symbolic Spirit disappointed when favourite at Huntingdon last time but is the sort who could click for Dan Skelton before too long.

There could be a good run in NO MORE BOLERO, who has had wind surgery ahead of his handicap debut and he was useful on the Flat.

14:50 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

NAZCA recorded a sixth victory on the all-weather when landing the spoils at Newcastle in March. Although the five-year-old has struggled to make an impact on turf racing off lower marks in the past, his improvement since last summer can be attributed to the drop to 6f. The Oasis Dream gelding could follow up here, possibly at the main expense of Doon The Glen, who arrives on the back of a close-up second at Hamilton last Friday. Warminster is another to consider.

The race probably revolves around NAZCA's effectiveness on turf as he's thrown-in from this mark on his recent AW form. Should the selection fail to fire, Dream Deal and Doon The Glen could be best placed to take advantage.

Preference is for DREAM DEAL (nap), for whom the reapplication of cheekpieces and step back up in trip are both likely positives.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EXPERT WITNESS posted a sterling effort when runner-up in a similar race at Bath on his seasonal bow last month and this could be the ideal time to catch the Sir Mark Todd-trained four-year-old, who runs off a highly competitive mark. Recent course and distance winner Aim For The Moon is feared most, despite a 6lb higher rating. Ciotog and Taravara can also go close on these terms.

KAARANAH twice shaped better than the bare result on all-weather earlier this year and, in the hope he gets a decent gallop to aim at back on turf, he could just be worth chancing to get back to winning ways having slipped in the weights. Expert Witness, Ciotog and recent C&D scorer Aim For The Moon are a trio of others to consider.

After a smooth-travelling C&D win last time, AIM FOR THE MOON can score again. Kaaranah and Queen's Company are feared.

STEAL MY SUNSHINE maintained a wide trip when finishing fifth over hurdles here recently, but he is worth another try over the bigger obstacles. The seven-year-old has Harry Skelton back on board and is comparatively well treated. The main threat might be Hold Your Fort, who makes just his second start for the Debra Hamer yard, and the first-time hood could eke out improvement for him to get closer. Phil De Pail is another to note.

An open-looking staying contest and it could be worth chancing C&D winner HEAD ON, who had a few jumping issues last season but the assessor has given him a serious chance. Coconut Twist got off the mark in points at the fourth attempt in January so he can provide most resistance making his chase debut, with Steal My Sunshine and Phil de Pail taken to fight out third.

An open handicap. GETUPEARLY made a fairly encouraging start over fences here last month after getting behind early.

15:20 Ayr Listed (Class 1) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Heartache Tonight will need to build on her reappearance fourth in the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket earlier this month and, despite being the highest-rated contender, she could be worth taking on. The returning MISTRAL STAR made rapid progress towards the end of last season's campaign, as evidenced by a fine second in a Listed event in France, and she could take this en route to bigger things. Snowcapped and Red Danielle are also worth a second look.

There should be more to come from the low-mileage VERBIER at 4 and she gets a narrow vote in an open listed race. Heartache Tonight and Madame Ambassador both arrive on the back of sound reappearance efforts in recent weeks and can give Ralph Beckett's filly most to think about.

With the form of her Listed second at Saint-Cloud last September reading well, MISTRAL STAR is taken to go one better on her return.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

The William Haggas-trained ART DESIGN, whose dam is a full-sister to dual Guineas heroine Winter, is the most appealing newcomer on paper and is suggested as the first one to note in the betting. Spherical runs for powerful connections and also warrants close inspection, while Blue Point Express, as a half-sister to a 6f winner, is another to bear in mind. Jane Chapple-Hyam sent out the winner of this race last year and her representative, Impatiently, commands respect.

The betting should prove useful with all but one newcomers, the narrow vote in favour of BLUE POINT EXPRESS before the benefit of market clues. Art Design and Spherical are others well worthy of interest representing leading stables.

The suggestion is NEVER FORGET YOU, ahead of Spherical. The market signals should help to complete the picture.

15:38 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A 2lb rise for last month's Stratford victory looks more than workable for FINEST VIEW. Alan King's mare appears to have been found a suitable opportunity to follow up and she could make light work of this small-field affair. She's A Saint was a useful performer during the 2022/2023 season, although the seven-year-old must prove her well-being on this return from a 445-day absence. With that in mind, recent Hexham fourth Tedley may give the selection most to think about.

It took FINEST VIEW just 2 runs upon rejoining Alan King to resume winning ways at Stratford a month ago and a 2 lb rise won't prevent a very bold follow-up bid. The interesting rival is She's A Saint, who returns from over a year off but is in top hands and the assessor may have taken a chance with her opening mark.

Any of the quartet could quite easily win but TEDLEY is perhaps the safest option and James Turner's claim is very much welcomed.

15:50 Ayr Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KELPIE GREY has won four of his last five starts and has another major chance under a 5lb penalty for an all-the-way success over 7f here eight days ago. If anything, this is a slightly weaker race, which goes some way to combatting the return to racing over a mile. There are dangers aplenty, though, with the likes of Nikovo and Jackhammer both players from competitive marks, while Trais Fluors would be a threat if on a going day.

Having won a couple of AW handicaps for his new yard, NIKOVO shaped as though still in top form when third at Leicester 11 days ago, hampered at a crucial moment. From the same mark, he's selected to quickly regain the winning thread at the chief expense of Kelpie Grey, who is also thriving, and Cancan In The Rain.

This could go to NIKOVO, who was a badly hampered third when bidding for a hat-trick at Leicester last time, and retains the same mark.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

625,000-euro purchase AGE OF GOLD represents a trainer very much on the hot list, and it would come as no surprise if the son of Frankel were able to get off the mark at the first time of asking. Cairdeas holds entries in some valuable sales contests later in the season and the son of impressive first-season-sire Sergei Prokofiev can give the selection most to think about. Saxonia may be advantaged due to being the only member of the field to have racecourse experience.

Just the one piece of form to go on, so AGE OF GOLD, the best-bred newcomer with a hefty price tag to match, is selected to make a winning start. Next on the list is Mission Command, while Saxonia will attempt to put his experience to good use.

The shortlist comprises the interesting newcomers AGE OF GOLD, Mission Command and Nascimento.

16:08 Warwick Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having finished a respectable second on his chase bow at Hexham earlier this month, HOME FREE looks more than capable of capitalising at this level. Dan Skelton's charge can put the experience to good use, and a 3lb higher rating shouldn't prove a barrier to success. His stablemate God's Own Getaway may be the biggest danger, arriving on the back of a narrow defeat over C&D. Le Cameleon also makes some appeal now dropping in class and trip.

None of these can be ruled out but GOD'S OWN GETAWAY has taken well to fences and with the form of his recent C&D second working out well he edges the vote. Stablemate Home Free has also made an encouraging chasing start and is feared most, atlhough Hardy Boy and Le Cameleon command plenty of respect too in a competitive handicap.

Dan Skelton has a strong hand and Harry has presumably plumped for HOME FREE ahead of God's Own Getaway.

16:20 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SOUND REASON may have been expensive to follow since his most recent success, but he finds himself on an attractive mark as a result and looks worth another chance on these terms. Rated 86 at his best for his previous yard, a current assessment of 70 is too appealing to ignore as he makes just his third appearance for David O'Meara. Several others hold solid claims, with Paddy's Day, Match Play and Impressor all suggested as shortlist material.

MATCH PLAY hasn't fired yet this season but he's down in grade now and should be fully tuned up, so he takes preference over the in-form Paddy's Day in a tricky contest. Sixcor wasn't seen to best effect last time and has a good track record, so he's another one to consider.

This represents a drop in class for MATCH PLAY and he can confirm himself a well-treated sprinter. Fortunate Star is feared most.

16:30 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Formerly with Sir Michael Stoute, FALCON NINE may prove a shrewd acquisition for the Charlie Fellowes' stable. The son of Ulysses appeared to not get home when finishing fourth over 1m2f on his last couple of starts, but stepping back in trip and sporting a hood for the first time are both positives for his claims here. Sir Oliver arrives on the back of an admirable third at Chelmsford earlier this month and, off an 8lb lower turf mark, a bold showing is anticipated. Red Maids met trouble in running at Haydock most recently and better is expected here, especially with William Buick reunited with her.

Prolific course winner PRISCILLA'S WISH teed herself up nicely for a return to this venue when an encouraging fifth back from 7 months off at Brighton 3 weeks ago and, now 5 lb below her last winning mark, she could be ready to strike. Red Maids can easily have her latest Haydock effort overlooked and better is expected here re-united with William Buick. Falcon Nine, on debut for Charlie Fellowes, and Society Lion are also in the mix.

Priscilla's Wish (second choice) looks sure to go well off a handy mark but RED MAIDS (nap) also has plenty to recommend her.

16:40 Warwick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There is a strong suspicion that we haven't seen the best of Kintail and he merits consideration now encountering some quicker ground on his return from a break. However, THANKYOURLUCKYSTAR rates a more solid proposition having finished a good second at Bangor last month. The Alastair Ralph-trained eight-year-old may defy a 2lb higher rating and secure a first win of the year. Call Me Tara and Fair Frontieres are also worth a closer look.

KINTAIL is unexposed and two from two from this track, so he's worth a chance to put an underwhelming handicap debut behind him after a break. Thankyourluckystar looks resurgent and should pose a major threat from a lenient mark, while Fair Frontieres is an obvious player if able to build on his latest effort.

The interesting one is KINTAIL (nap) who contested a strong race on his handicap debut and he's open to progress at this longer trip.

16:55 Ayr Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Jean Baptiste has filled the runner-up spot the last twice, including over track and trip when Glasses Up was a place behind, and he should remain competitive off an unchanged mark compared to his most recent second at Newcastle. However, the vote goes to BORN RULER, who returned from a 223-day break to hit the crossbar at Lingfield, despite being too free. The drop from 1m4f looks a good move and, with Luke Morris back on board, he might be the one to beat. Recent C&D winner Pol Roger is another to note.

BORN RULER made a positive reappearance when second at Lingfield and he appeals as the type to go on developing this year, so he's preferred to Jean Baptiste, who ran a cracker at Newcastle 10 days ago. Pol Roger is another big player bidding for back-to-back C&D wins for a bang-in-form stable.

Jean Baptiste has put up bold shows on both his starts this season but BORN RULER may well be about to return to his best.

17:05 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

OH SO AUDACIOUS reappeared when third over a mile at Brighton last month and Harry Eustace's charge is likely to take a step forward from that display. Specialist View was sent off favourite when finishing sixth over an extended mile at Wolverhampton earlier this month, but she is the type to bounce back and cannot be overlooked lightly, while the habitually keen-going Seattle Time completes the shortlist wearing a hood for the first time.

A winner at Kempton in February, IVASECRET still needs to prove himself as effective on turf but his mark reflects that and he could just be worth chancing under William Buick. Specialist View and Seattle Time are others to consider, with Zafaan another to keep an eye on making his seasonal bow.

The first-time hood may well enable SEATTLE TIME to settle better and open his account. Oh So Audacious is second choice.

17:20 Gowran Park Claimer 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KHAFAAQ could return to action with a victory. He won three of his last five races for Andy Slattery and has since moved to Pat Martin. It is slightly concerning that he hasn't been seen since August, but he has gone well fresh before and trip and ground are ideal for him. Denis Hogan is well represented and his Roderick looks a big player after a fifth in a 50-70 handicap at Leopardstown. Hogan also saddles Jupiter Rock, who could get involved as he switches back to the Flat from hurdling, while his Neandra has British form to support her case.

RODERICK's fifth in a handicap at Leopardstown 5 days ago is the best recent form on offer and, with blinkers applied, he's taken to capitalise on this drop in grade. Khafaaq is an obvious danger if tuned up for his reappearance and Zahee can't be ruled out.

Denis Hogan runs three and may collect with RODERICK, not the most consistent type but well enough treated by the race conditions

17:25 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DASHING DONKEY made an excellent start to life in handicap company when beaten a short head at Yarmouth. Raised 2lb, the son of Time Test is entitled to step forward and gets the nod in a contest that appears to be competitive for the grade. True Blue Gent's runner-up efforts over C&D in the winter would give him an obvious chance, and he has been gelded since his last appearance. Baroque Buoy, City Of Delight and handicap debutant New Kings Road are others likely to enter the reckoning.

MEET ME IN MERAKI found testing conditions well up his street when winning at Bath last time but had taken a step forward on the all-weather on his prior outing and a chance is taken that he'll progress again returned to a synthetic surface. City of Delight did well under the circumstances at Goodwood last time and is shortlisted, alongside Baroque Buoy.

The vote goes to BAROQUE BUOY, ahead of Meet Me In Meraki and True Blue Gent.

17:30 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BRAES OF DOUNE made a pleasing return to action when denied by just under a length at Newcastle in January and he is only 1lb higher for that effort. Jim Goldie's six-year-old remains on a workable mark and can go one better. The main danger might be Balqaa, who has been thereabouts at this level on each of her last three starts and should go well again, while Retirement Beckons is another to keep an eye on.

COVERT LEGEND isn't bombproof by any means given his propensity to miss the break but he caught the eye in a deeper race than this on Saturday so he's worth risking. Braes of Doune is unexposed for a 6-y-o so has to command respect on return to action, with the quirky Khathak a place contender.

Concert Boy makes some appeal back on turf but COVERT LEGEND was badly checked at Thirsk on Saturday and is down in grade today.

17:40 Southwell Handicap Chase (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Scrum Diddly has performed with credit on each of his starts over the larger obstacles and he looks a serious contender now eased in class, but a chance is taken on CEDAR ROW. The son of Westerner was a mixed bag over timber, but chasing should be more his game and this is not the deepest of contests in which to score. Fellow chasing debutant Broomfields Cave, a two-time winner in the point-to-point scene, is also noted.

SCRUM DIDDLY twice ran well in what appeal as stronger contests over fences late last year, and with the possibility of more to come in this sphere on the back of just 3 starts, he earns the vote to come out on top following 5 months off. Broomfields Cave has progressed steadily over hurdles and he's feared now tackling larger obstacles, with Cedar Row another to keep an eye on.

With rain forecast the tentative suggestion is to overlook the form pick Scrum Diddly and side with the chasing debutant CEDAR ROW.

17:50 Gowran Park Stakes 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MATAARIKI is hard to get away from after a professional display when making a winning debut at this track last month. After she swept home by almost four lengths, connections mentioned stakes races so she is clearly well thought of. Glor Tire was a decisive winner of a fillies' maiden over C&D, and 10lb claimer Gabriella Adela Hill is now enlisted so this Teofilo filly races off a light weight. You Owe Me Money hasn't been beaten far into third in her last three races, while Whimsy has finished runner-up in no less than four of her last five races and ought to put in another solid shift.

MATAARIKI sets the standard with the form of her impressive winning debut and, with improvement on the cards, she's capable of following up at the likely expense of Glor Tire, who upped her game to make a successful return in a C&D maiden. You Owe Me Money is another one to consider.

Impressive on debut here last month MATAARIKI looks to have been found a good opportunity of a follow-up win

18:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It will be interesting to see if the market speaks in favour of Nap Hand, who proved to be very competitive in a brace of nurseries here in November 2022. Absent since, the booking of Oisin Murphy may well be a positive sign that a big run is expected, but the vote goes to DREAM OF MISCHIEF. He won on the all-weather at Lingfield in September 2022 and has been narrowly denied on his two subsequent starts on a synthetic surface, including over C&D latest when sporting a first-time hood (retained). Lakota Brave and Game Set appeal most of the remainder.

This could go the way of LAKOTA BRAVE who has progressed with each of his 4 starts so far, faring best of the pair who helped to force the pace when runner-up at Bath last month. He can see off the challenge of Game Set, who remains with potential as he makes his return.

This looks treacherous but BOTAS may be able to reverse latest placings with five of today's rivals. Rhythm N Rock is next best.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

IN THIS WORLD bumped into a progressive rival at Warwick on his first start over fences earlier this month and natural improvement can see Dan Skelton's charge make amends to go one better. Lipa K made no mistake on his fencing bow at Bangor last month and he is a leading candidate from 6lb higher. Glencassley may benefit from the addition of first-time cheekpieces.

IN THIS WORLD left his hurdles form behind at the first attempt over fences when runner-up at Warwick a fortnight ago, and with the promise of more to come, he'll take some stopping. Parc d'Amour arrives on the up over hurdles, while Brook Bay wasn't as good over timber but, given his point background, could easily up his game now chasing.

The likeliest winner is Dan Skelton's IN THIS WORLD (nap). The 6yo chased home a bang-in-form rival at Warwick last time.

A good run by Mataariki in the preceding race on this card would bode well for Quatrain's prospects. The latter couldn't make an impression on that winner of a C&D fillies' maiden last month, but certainly ran well on her first start. Abbey Actress showed marked improvement in fifth in a decent maiden at the Curragh so she merits consideration. Glen Princess, Kansai, Pink Aurora and Magical Bay are all possible improvers.

The market should prove highly informative but Henry de Bromhead's Mastercraftsman filly shaped well when a debut second over C&D and can build on it to go one better now. Jim Bolger's Clever And Cute also looks to have better days ahead of her and is next on the list ahead of Glen Princess and Pink Aurora.

A good showing by Mataariki in the 5.50 would enhance confidence in QUATRAIN (nap) who can build on her promising C&D debut in any case

18:30 Kempton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Spiritualism displayed plenty of speed on her debut when fourth at Saint-Cloud and is entitled to step forward. Deal Maker won on her introduction at Southwell before finishing third at the same venue, but may find life tough giving 5lb and upwards to the opposition. DOLLY'S DELIGHT makes plenty of appeal on paper, being a half-sister to a winning debutant, and the 60,000-euro purchase could be worth chancing for a stable that recently had their first juvenile winner of the year.

PAINT THE TOWN RED looks the way to go on the back of her recent Wolverhampton second with further improvement on the cards for Richard Spencer's filly. Newcomer Yala is bred to be abover average and could emerge as the pick of the debutantes ahead of Southwell-scorer Deal Maker.

Spiritualism looks best of those to have run but Yala and DOLLY'S DELIGHT are newcomers of some interest on breeding.

18:40 Southwell NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It's not often that Sir Mark Prescott has a runner in this sphere, but he has enjoyed success when doing so in the last five years (4-10) and PATCH MAN is taken to enhance that record further. The son of Walk In The Park, a three-parts brother of the smart dual-purpose performer Sir Erec, makes plenty of appeal on paper and would not need to be anything out of the ordinary himself to land this. Masterkey shaped with promise on his racecourse bow, finishing third at Sedgefield 12 days ago, and that effort sets the form standard. Guchen is another to consider.

PATCH MAN is related to a smart hurdler and with an excellent Flat yard, so he's really appealing on bumper debut. Fellow newcomer Guchen is also appealing for a trainer that knows how to get one ready and Luwdvig is the best of those with experience.

Strong market support for PATCH MAN could be worth heeding with Sir Mark Prescott a force to be reckoned with in bumpers.

18:50 Gowran Park Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

THEQUIETMAN stayed on for second on debut in Leopardstown and, granted normal improvement, could take a bit of beating. He made sustained headway in the straight and was well clear of the odds-on favourite in third. The winner of that race didn't look out of place when fourth in Listed company on his next start. Nativity Square brings plenty of experience into battle and can get in the mix, while Vadali is entitled to improve from a reappearance fourth at this venue. Subjugate, from an in-form yard, and Shamsuddin, who was runner-up in Punchestown last September and holds a mark of 81, shouldn't be underestimated.

THEQUIETMAN made an encouraging start to his career when second at Leopardstown last month and can build on that promise and can go one better now. Vadali shaped quite well on his C&D reappearance a fortnight ago and can give the selection most to think about ahead of Jim Bolger's Nativity Square.

Normal improvement from an initial run at Leopardstown could be enough to see THEQUIETMAN get his head in front.

19:00 Kempton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BENGURION struck at the first time of asking over 6f at Lingfield in October and she now takes a step up in trip under Oisin Murphy. The daughter of Invincible Army is well drawn in stall two and should have plenty more to offer, so she can defy her 7lb penalty. Eternal Spring improved on her debut effort to reach the frame over C&D earlier in the month and she could have a say, while any market confidence behind Pipes And Drums would be interesting.

BENGURION knew what was required to make a winning debut at Lingfield 6 months ago, and with improvement on the cards, Charlie Johnston's filly gets the nod to make it 2-2 at the expense of debutant Pipes And Drums, who makes plenty of paper appeal for the Gosdens. Eternal Spring can edge out Harvard Sound for third spot.

The Gosden newcomer Pipes And Drums is respected but preference is for the experience of BENGURION after her 6f win in October.

19:10 Southwell Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SHE'S MY SHADOW made a pleasing start to life under Rules when finishing second behind a subsequent Listed winner over this trip on her penultimate start at Chepstow. After hitting the crossbar over an extended 2m3f at the same venue most recently, she gets the tentative vote to go one place better in what looks a competitive affair. Point-to-point winner Kate Of The Lodge is of major interest on her debut in this sphere, while Parkin Fine posted some solid efforts in defeat last winter and she cannot be discounted for her top connections.

SHE'S MY SHADOW gets the nod after 2 good runner-up efforts at Chepstow last month, although a strong market move for Evan Williams Irish point recruit Kate of The Lodge would put a slightly different slant on things. Molly Mischief won easily on the Flat here last month and could also have a part to play if taking to hurdling.

It is intriguing to see MOLLY MISCHIEF switched to hurdles after her impressive AW win and she is preferred for her in-form yard.

19:20 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ANGEL ON FIRE beat Pink Socks by a neck over C&D on testing ground last autumn and has returned in good form again this spring. The selection finished strongly from off the pace over seven furlongs at Naas before filling the runner-up spot over 1m1f at Leopardstown and probably found an extra furlong too far at Sligo last time. There is little to choose between Tall Story and The Bog Bank on running behind Play It Again Zaam here a fortnight ago and the Ross O'Sullivan-trained gelding appears the greater threat on the likely soft ground. Boadicea Belle won over this trip at Dundalk last month, while Perfect Curves and Numidia are others to consider.

ANGEL ON FIRE has been in good form this spring and might be able to get his head back in front now. Asisaid won on his 2023 reappearance and heads the dangers along with Pink Socks, who had 2 near misses here last autumn, and The Bog Bank.

Despite an outer draw it could pay to side with ANGEL ON FIRE, a C&D winner who comes here on he back of two good runs in defeat

19:30 Kempton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SMOULDERING produced a big effort to finish second on her introduction at Wolverhampton, despite showing plenty of inexperience, and she could take a sizeable step forward from that display. Clive Cox's filly looks the one to be on, with her main danger possibly newcomer Drumstick, who is related to plenty of winners and it would be no surprise to see him feature on his first outing. Of the remainder, Sedgemoor makes most appeal based on his debut second at Salisbury last year.

SMOULDERING found herself behind through early greenness on debut but ended the race with a flourish and can go one better this time. Masterofgreygoose also showed ability to reach the frame at Chelmsford on his debut and is open to improvement, whilst Drumstick is a highly respected debutant for the Andrew Balding yard.

Drumstick is the most appealing newcomer but SMOULDERING can step forward from her promising Wolverhampton debut.

19:40 Southwell Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HARD AS NAILS looks to set the standard in this contest and she is hard to oppose on current form. Fergal O'Brien's charge finished runner-up in a similar contest at Stratford last month, and this two-time bumper winner can earn herself a breakthrough win over timber. Trudie Glen ran with plenty of credit on her bumper debut last spring prior to disappointing when last of four at Catterick in November, but better can be expected on her hurdling bow. Annie Don was too keen for her own good on her Rules debut recently and she can't be overlooked lightly provided she settles better.

There looks to be less depth to the second division of this mares' maiden and it looks a good chance for HARD AS NAILS to make it third time lucky over hurdles. Dan Skelton's Trudie Glen more than hinted at promise in bumpers and is second choice ahead of the selection's stablemate Fashionelle.

Fergal O'Brien's HARD AS NAILS posted a solid effort (runner-up) at Stratford. A replication of that form ought to prove good enough.

19:50 Gowran Park Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KILLEEMORE LAD won twice over hurdles last year and was also placed a couple of times in staying Flat handicaps including on soft ground at Thurles last October. The Andy Slattery-trained gelding has returned in good form over hurdles this spring notably when beating all bar Pigeon House in a 24-runner handicap at the Punchestown Festival and now switches back to the level on a competitive mark. War Thunder was having his first start for Paul Flynn when beating Glyde Ranger by half a length over a similar trip at Sligo earlier this month and the latter was given plenty to do when a strong-finishing fifth at Navan on Saturday. Paradise Lost and C&D winner Rumi are others to note.

Punchestown hurdling runner-up KILLEEMORE LAD reverts to this sphere on a handy-looking mark so edges the vote in a very open handicap. In-form maiden Paradise Lost is next on the list, with War Thunder, Striking and Ricky Bobby also in the picture.

Glyde Ranger was outbattled by WAR THUNDER at Sligo and it could be a similar scenario here

20:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BRASIL POWER put in a bold display to fill the runner-up spot over a mile here last month and has been put up 2lb for that performance. George Boughey's five-year-old takes a step down in trip, which can eke out the improvement needed to go one better. Rajindri very rarely runs a bad race and her comeback second at Yarmouth gives her a big chance in this contest, while Akkadian Thunder is another to take seriously after his triumph at Newcastle.

RAJINDRI ended last season in good form and picked up where she left off when runner-up to an unexposed 3-y-o at Yarmouth on her return, so she is taken to record a second C&D success. Giant has been running well this year, only narrowly denied at this venue on his latest outing, so he could be the main danger, ahead of Brasil Power.

Zero Carbon is a major player under ideal conditions but the unexposed AKKADIAN THUNDER (nap) may have his measure today.

20:10 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The combination of an 81-day break and quicker ground conditions saw Jaxonne romping home at Ludlow recently. Although a 7lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold bid from the five-year-old, last week's unpunished C&D winner KNACKER TRAPPER may prove too strong. Andrew Crook's gelding came home in splendid isolation in a conditional jockeys' event and the quick turnaround looks a good move before his revised mark kicks in. The Dark Edge should have more to come in handicap company and completes the shortlist.

Hard to get away from last-time-out winners JAXONNE and Knacker Trapper, with narrow preference for the O'Neill-trained gelding, who was hard held when scoring at Ludlow last week. Handicap-newcomer Hiero Sport can complete the placings.

Rain is a concern but Knacker Trapper and JAXONNE are well in front of the handicapper before being reassessed.

20:20 Gowran Park Handicap 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WHATCOULDHAVEBEEN gained a fourth career win (2 Flat/2 hurdles) when taking a 2m6f handicap hurdle by nearly ten lengths in first-time cheekpieces at Fairyhouse on Irish Grand National Day. The selection was subsequently far from disgraced behind Teahupoo in Grade 1 company at Punchestown and now reverts to the Flat off what appears a reasonable mark. Bold Approach held a career high rating of 99 and is proven over this trip in the past while Narlita won over 1m4f on heavy ground at Bellewstown last year and should progress from her reappearance at Sligo. Grann's Boy and Mephisto both ran well in separate divisions of a 1m5f Navan handicap last Saturday, while Mighty Mo Missouri shaped well in a charity race at Punchestown.

GRANN'S BOY rates the pick of the weights so gets the vote with this step up in distance also a likely plus for Harry Rogers' son of Zoffany. Leopardstown-third Bold Approach heads the list of dangers, although in-form pair Mephisto and Whatcouldhavebeen merit plenty of respect too.

Making a quick reappearance after finishing a good third at Navan on Saturday, GRANN'S BOY gets the vote, despite a stamina concern

20:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 3) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

DAVIDEO is taken to go well for an in-form yard. He has a 222-day absence to overcome but did win first time out last season at Newmarket and is now just 3lb higher than his last winning mark. Ralph Beckett's gelding remains lightly raced and performed well on his only previous all-weather start at this track in November 2022. Dual course winner Liseo is feared most back at this venue, while Artisan Dancer is a must for the shortlist with Oisin Murphy booked.

LISEO, who seems much better on all-weather than turf, looks the pick. Artisan Dancer and Appier can fight out minor honours.

Ralph Beckett's DAVIDEO has been too all or nothing for comfort but it's interesting that his powerful connections go again as a 4yo.

20:40 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CALL ME ARTHUR returned to form with a never-nearer second over 2m4f at Ffos Las last month and this step up in trip over an extended 3m looks ideal. Tom Lacey's charge should relish this emphasis on stamina and is taken to make light work of a 3lb rise. Karakoram is also likely to prove popular now 3lb lower than his staying-on third at Ludlow recently. The nine-year-old is feared most, ahead of Lepashe, who continues to creep down the handicap.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest and CALL ME ARTHUR looks the way to go on the back of his very good Ffos Las second with this longer trip also a positive. Kapamazov is another who gives the impression he will benefit from this trip and feared most, although Karakoram, Endofconversation and Lepashe all need factoring in too.

The suggestion is the Huntingdon eyecatcher ENDOFCONVERSATION, who could take another step forward for tackling this longer trip.

21:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Global Tycoon arrives at the top of his game and is reunited with Oisin Murphy after they went agonisingly close at Wolverhampton, while Federated enters calculations off just 3lb higher than last month's 1m2f Newcastle win. However, ARTAVIAN is unexposed at this level and from a workable mark of just 62, the Patrick Chamings-trained gelding holds the most intrigue on just his second start in a handicap, especially after he went so well for third over 1m3f here.

FEDERATED is easily one of the least exposed and showed improved form in line with the step up in trip when opening his account at Newcastle 5 weeks ago. Open to further progress with his stamina now tested a little more, he could be the the answer. Artavian is another low-mileage sort and is feared, with Global Tycoon and the returning Assembled next best.

Despite the stamina query over a new trip FEDERATED can continue to progress at the main expense of Global Tycoon.
