14:00 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

REX CARVER wasn't an expensive purchase when bought for 14,000gns as a foal and the three-parts brother to Staxton, a very useful performer for Tim Easterby who made a winning debut as a juvenile, may well be the type who knows his job on debut. Dolce Vitta has the advantage of a run under her belt when third at Ascot earlier in the month, while Star Allure and Marry The Night are others capable of being in the mix.

DOLCE VITTA made a bright start behind a promising filly at Ascot and could be hard to beat with improvement likely over this longer trip. Newcomers Black Tide and Rex Carver are feared.

This can go to DOLCE VITTA, who showed promise behind an impressive odds-on winner at Ascot and sets the standard on that form.

14:13 Newton Abbot Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having landed his maiden at Exeter in March, PIRATES' TALE found only an improver too strong at the same venue later in the month. Jimmy Frost's gelding must compete under a penalty today, but this is not the deepest of contests and he might be up to the task. Impecunious struck the woodwork at Stratford 11 days ago and he ought to hold every chance if handling conditions, while Lud'or, a runner-up on soft ground last June when trained in France, warrants closer inspection in the betting ahead of his stable debut.

LUD'OR ran to quite a useful level when runner-up at Auteuil last summer and is taken to make a winning start for new trainer Tom Symonds. Fortified Fortune shaped well when second at Warwick last month and is second choice ahead of Pirates' Tale, who shoulders a 7 lb penalty for his Exeter success.

An expensive recruit from the Irish point scene, FORTIFIED FORTUNE has plenty of scope to progress from last month's Warwick second.

14:30 Redcar Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Archie Watson landed a division of this contest 12 months ago and may well do the same with newcomer SEA OF DIAMONDS. She is bred to be precocious, being out of a French juvenile winner, and the yard have shown that they are more than capable of readying one for their debut. Wipeout is one for the shortlist with her half-brother, Chief Mankato, a winner on his racecourse bow last season, while Magic Micky is also considered.

Not a strong-looking maiden and newcomers could come to the fore, SEA OF DIAMONDS, We've Got This and Wipeout all appealing fillies on paper.

Preference is for SEA OF DIAMONDS, who is out of 6f 2yo winner and represents a yard that won a division of this race last year.

14:43 Newton Abbot Handicap Chase (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FORTUNEFAVORSDBOLD has faced a couple of stiff tasks in class 2 company of late, but those two efforts have left Christian Williams' mare just 2lb above her last winning mark. The six-year-old remains open to improvement over the larger obstacles and may well be the answer now eased in grade. Lightonthewing and Puddlesinthepark score highly for their consistency and both are unlikely to be far away, although chasing debutant Danton is one to keep on eye on now tackling larger obstacles.

Provided his late tumble at Bangor last month hasn't left a mark, NO TACKLE is fancied to regain the winning thread stepping up to this sort of trip for the first time over fences. The main threat may emerge from Danton, who deserves credit for keeping the winner honest all the way to the line when runner-up at Chepstow recently and now heads over the larger obstacles. Puddlesinthepark can edge out Lightonthewing for third.

A case can be made for several but DANTON (nap) returned to form on his latest hurdle run and can make a winning chase debut.

15:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

James Fanshawe's string have begun to hit full stride over the past 10 days and the Newmarket handler saddles an interesting runner in the shape of MILLITERRIES. All of her juvenile runs suggested she would benefit from stepping up to a mile and an opening mark of 70 is unlikely to hold her back. Sovereign Queen was no match for an easy winner on her return at Newcastle, but she is expected to have more to offer in handicap company. Summit and Purple Martini appeal most of the remainder.

Having dropped below her last winning mark, PURPLE MARTINI chased home a next-time-out scorer at Musselburgh 3 weeks ago and now looks ready to go one place better. 3-y-os Summit and Milliterries head the opposition.

This looks tricky but the vote goes to MILLITERRIES who showed clear promise as 2yo and is open to more progress on her handicap debut.

15:13 Newton Abbot Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A few of these arrive with something to prove and only a tentative vote can to go BASHFUL BOY. David Pipe's charge has often reserved his best form for the summer months so, from 2lb below his last winning mark, he could be primed to strike. Master Dancer is another that finds himself competitively treated and first-time cheekpieces could elicit some improvement. Songo heads the remainder.

There were better signs from MASTER DANCER when third at Huntingdon in March, before he was unable to employ his usual positive tactics at Fontwell last month. He is taken to bounce back to winning ways in first-time cheekpieces, with Songo feared most as he returns to this course on his stable debut. Clearance is the pick of the remainder.

All of these have something to prove but drying ground might enable BASHFUL BOY to bounce back to form and exploit a favourable mark.

15:30 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Michael Dods has landed two of the previous three renewals of this contest and with that in mind, a chance can be taken on CUBAN STORM. The Havana Grey gelding has been too keen to do himself justice over 6f of late, so it might be that he shows his true colours now dropped to the minimum trip. Pinpoint, a winner at Ayr from a 4lb lower mark three weeks ago, makes obvious appeal, while others to note include Dandy Fitz, Showboated and Whogoesthere.

PINPOINT was suited by a strongly-run race when getting back to winning ways at Ayr last time and, with a decent pace forecast in this contest, he can follow up off what remains a workable mark. Dandy Fitz showed improved form on his latest outing and could still have more to offer in first-time headgear, with Whogoesthere also in the mix.

There are more races to be won with Pinpoint but DANDY FITZ showed his first sign of ability last time and is a likely improver.

15:43 Newton Abbot Handicap Chase (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A chance can be taken on OUT OF FOCUS, whose two chasing attempts have not been without promise. The son of Montmatre looked outpaced over an extended 2m3f at Ffos Las in April, so upped in trip and with stable jockey Adam Wedge back aboard, he could step forward. Duke Of Luckley was rewarded for his consistency when winning at Southwell last month and a 5lb rise does not look insurmountable, while Begin The Luck appeals most of the remainder.

EXMOOR FOREST shaped well in the face of an inadequate test when fourth on chasing debut and, back up in distance, he looks the one to side with. Time To Bite should be on the premises again and last-time-out winner Duke of Luckley is likely to go well again with a clear round of jumping.

Perhaps the answer will be OUT OF FOCUS who began his chasing career with two encouraging runs last month and tries a new trip.

16:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PISANELLO was a shade unfortunate not to have finished closer, having been denied a clear run in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last time out. He's been competing at higher levels of late, too, and a drop into class 4 company, the scene of his latest success, could pay dividends. Arctic Mountain has few miles on the clock and he might be able to take a step forward on his second start following wind surgery. Dawn Of Liberation lurks on a dangerous mark and should not be underestimated, while Elim, who returns from over a year off the track in search of her hat-trick, is also noted.

The returning ELIM looked a useful handicapper in the making last spring and gets the nod, with confidence in her chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Arctic Mountain is another lightly raced sort who could have his best days to come and is feared most ahead of Shaladar, a creditable second on his Beverley reappearance.

The vote goes to RON O who is 2-3 over C&D, with both wins coming on good to firm ground.

16:13 Newton Abbot Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WINTERWATCH was beaten six lengths into fourth when competing in this grade on his latest outing and he was dropped 1lb for that display. Harry Fry's six-year-old holds the most solid recent form in this contest and he just gets the vote. The main threat might be Lost In The Mist, who only found the favourite too good over 2m at Chepstow last month and he warrants a market check on his handicap bow. Of the remainder, Hour Star makes the most appeal.

This represents a good opportunity for WINTERWATCH to open his account over hurdles. The 6-y-o shaped as though this step back up in trip would be in his favour when fourth in a big field at Taunton and is appealing with a capable amateur booked and first-time cheekpieces enlisted. Handicap debutants Lost In The Mist and Hour Star appear the most likely to make a race of it with the selection, given that Light Em Up Nigel is returning from a 17-month absence.

It might pay to chance the fitness of long-absent topweight LIGHT EM UP NIGEL, who has been given a good chance by the handicapper.

16:30 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A tricky puzzle to solve with the tentative vote going to ODETTE'S BEAU. The son of Churchill made little impact across his three qualifying runs but he is bred to be better than a mark of 52, and today's handicap bow looks a more suitable assignment. Teddy Brown finished a creditable fourth over the mile at Kempton last month and must be considered eased 1lb in the ratings. Socialise heads the remainder.

HOWARD'S CHOICE improved and was unlucky not to finish closer when fifth at Ripon 10 days ago and, in a thin race, he's worth a chance to get off the mark. Teddy Brown also arrives on the back of a solid performance and Socialise is a definite player.

The vote goes to HOWARD'S CHOICE, who didn't get much luck when a close fifth at Ripon and is a big player if he can build on that.

16:43 Newton Abbot Hunter Chase (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Switch Hitter sets the standard with a rating of 130 in this contest and he has to be respected, but he has been pulled up the last twice which raises concerns. With that in mind, the vote goes to last year's winner YOUNG BUCK, who struck on his penultimate start between the flags and he can take this race for a second successive year. Len Brennan completes the shortlist.

SWITCH HITTER has to be the call on his first go in a hunter given he ran to useful ratings in a couple of Ascot handicaps to start last season. Last year's winner Young Buck is feared most.

It's hard to know what to expect from SWITCH HITTER but he'll be far too good for this field if back in good nick.

17:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Mayo County has reached the frame on each of her last two outings on the all-weather and she now makes her first start on turf, so it would be no surprise to see her get involved. However, preference is for GEORGIE WOOSTER, who has failed to fire in all three starts to date, but his prices have justified those efforts. Tim Easterby's three-year-old could be seen in a different light on his handicap bow and he gets the vote, while Viridian is another to note in first-time blinkers.

GEORGIE WOOSTER is bred to be useful and he's appealing now pitched into a handicap having caught the eye on his latest start over this C&D. Mayo County is second choice ahead of Tantomile, while Ribble River and Georgie Wooster's stablemate Kode Secret also have each-way claims.

Plenty have possibilities but MAYO COUNTY gets the vote ahead of Georgie Wooster and Ribble River.

17:06 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Lucentio opened his account with a recent course and distance success though that was on soft going and CAPRELO makes more appeal. Hughie Morrison's colt relished the step up to 1m3f when scoring at Kempton on last month's handicap debut and there looks plenty more to come over middle-distances. Freds Mate is steadily improving and could be in the mix once again, while maiden winner Alacrity steps up in trip for her reappearance.

This looks a fair 3-y-o handicap for the grade but it's still hard to escape the claims of CAPRELO, who was much improved when successful at Kempton a month ago and his revised mark looks lenient. Lucentio landed a C&D handicap a fortnight ago so commands respect, with Malinka a likely improver tackling a more suitable trip.

Preference is for CAPRELO, who scored on last month's seasonal/handicap debut at Kempton and ought to have more to offer.

17:13 Newton Abbot NH Flat Race (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HURLEY GIRLY outran her big odds to reach the frame in a bumper on her debut at Plumpton last month and she would have learned a great deal from that experience. The daughter of Shirocco is likely to have plenty more to offer and she can strike for the in-form Neil Mulholland stable. Damekap finished second in a point-to-point in March before changing hands for 30,000 pounds and she would be foolish to dismiss on her debut under Rules, while any market confidence behind her stablemate, Springtime Legend, would also be interesting.

Those with Rules experience don't set the bar too high so RAILWAY BELL, who laid a solid foundations in British points and represents a successful yard, could be the answer. Realta Liath is sure to be thereabouts, with Damekap another to note.

Hurley Girly made a pleasing debut last month but REALTA LIATH held her own in a good race at Ascot in February and gets the nod.

17:20 Roscommon Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ROYALCORRESPONDENT should be good enough to win here on just his second start for Ray Cody. The Blue Point gelding had some fair maiden form on turf for Ger Lyons last season but disappointed when sent off favourite on the Polytrack at Dundalk in April. Having shaped much better on his return to grass at Gowran Park earlier this month, he gets the vote. Dynamite Defense was entitled to run somewhat green when runner-up on his racecourse debut at Gowran Park recently. The Denis Hogan-trained gelding should be all the better for that initial run so has to be a serious contender. She's Smart was back in sixth in that aforementioned race but has a chance of overturning that form at these weights.

ROYALCORRESPONDENT was fourth in a deeper-looking contest than this starting out for a new yard at Gowran 12 days ago and he makes as much appeal as any of these. Alto Sax, a former stablemate of the selection, and Zenato are a couple of possible threats.

Typically mixed bag for a claimer, perhaps DYNAMITE DEFENSE can improve enough from a good debut second to score

17:30 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE CRAFTY MOLE had Believitanducan (third) four lengths behind in this grade at Wetherby last time and he remains unexposed over this trip. David O'Meara's three-year-old is likely to have plenty more to offer and he can confirm that form, despite being 5lb worse off with his reopposing rival this time around. Little Venice takes a big step up in distance off a 1lb lower mark than her most recent third at Beverley and she is another to watch out for.

THE CRAFTY MOLE relished the step up in trip when getting off the mark at Wetherby just under 3 weeks ago and he's taken to confirm his superiority over Believitanducan, who made much more impact than previously on handicap debut when 4¼ lengths back in third. Rubio de Oro needs to leave a shocking effort at Wolverhampton earlier in the month behind, but he rounds off the shortlist switched to turf for the first time.

Most of these have plenty to prove but THE CRAFTY MOLE (nap) won over 1m6f last time and is open to more progress at staying trips.

17:40 Windsor Maiden (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SIR GEOFF MORGAN looks to be crying out for this extra distance on the evidence of both starts so far. He was finishing strongly again over the minimum trip at Chester last time and is preferred to Larchill Lass, a beaten favourite at Beverley in both outings to date. Number and Sergio Parisse are likely improvers, while Joseph O'Brien sends over Lady With The Lamp from Ireland and the newcomer should be noted with Oisin Murphy on board.

SERGIO PARISSE did well to finish as close as he did when third on debut at Leicester where a combination of greenness and interference ultimately proved costly. While that probably wasn't a particularly strong maiden, it was nevertheless a very promising introduction from this son of Sergei Prokofiev and he gets the nod now upped in trip. Sir Geoff Morgan is also likely to benefit from the step up to 6f and is feared most ahead of intriguing newcomer Lady With The Lamp.

A strong-looking maiden in which SERGIO PARISSE is preferred to Number and interesting newcomer Lady With The Lamp.

17:50 Roscommon Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The well-bred EDERGOLE'S ANGEL catches the eye on her racecourse debut. A half-sister to two black-type horses, she has the pedigree at the very least. While drawn out in stall 12 is an obvious concern given her inexperience, Billy Lee might be able to tuck her in if breaking on terms. The Joseph O'Brien-trained newcomer Green Triangle has to be considered despite being a first foal out of an ordinary mare. Given his connections, the son of Gleneagles has to be showing plenty at home. Deo Vero, who ran better than the bare form suggests when ninth on her Curragh debut, should be involved. Nothing went right for the filly when finding endless trouble on her initial outing.

Those with experience haven't achieved a great deal so it may pay to focus on newcomers, with the vote going to GREEN TRIANGLE for Joseph O'Brien. Georg Zhukov, whose trainer and jockey won this last year, and Edergole's Angel are others with something to recommend them on paper.

GREEN TRIANGLE was the most expensive of these as a yearling and so has to give weight away but could be up to it.

18:10 Windsor Maiden (Class 2) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

CAT NINJA showed plenty of promise when narrowly beaten over 7f at Yarmouth on last month's debut. She should improve for this extra furlong and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Fight For You, a half-sister to a Group 2 winner. Both Aurora's Beauty and Clove Hitch will have likely come on for their reappearance efforts, while Raheena is worthy of a second glance on her return to action.

CAT NINJA's second at Yarmouth is the best piece of form on offer and she's open to further progress, so she gets the nod ahead of Clove Hitch, with Fight For You another one to consider first time out.

This can go to CAT NINJA who finished strongly over 7f on her debut despite taking a good hold early. Aurora's Beauty is next best.

18:20 Roscommon Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CALAMINT was an impressive winner at Naas on his stable debut three weeks ago and, should Adrian Murray be able to eke out further improvement from the filly, a hefty 12lb hike in the handicap might not stop her. Vikki Wall (winner) had Super Cub (third) in behind over C&D last Monday but the latter could get closer on the revised terms. Barnhill Rose pulled clear with an improver over this track and trip last time out, so a subsequent 5lb rise in the handicap could underestimate the daughter of Mayson.

The vote goes to SNEDDY EDDIE, who caught the eye when finishing well after encountering traffic problems at Sligo recently and this step back up in trip looks a good move. Calamint improved form out of the blue on debut for this yard at Naas where she landed a big-field handicap in good style. The handicapper took a dim view of that and raised her a whopping 12 lb but she is feared nonetheless. Cherry Pink is third choice, while Barnhill Rose is also shortlisted.

Last Monday's winner Vikki Wall is feared but slight preference is for BARNHILL ROSE who has a good record at the the track

18:30 Carlisle Stakes (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

RIVER SEINE found only a Godolphin favourite too good when attempting to make all at Newmarket on her debut. The third has subsequently boosted the form by winning so Karl Burke's filly looks to have a leading chance on that evidence. The previous winners are both conceding weight to the selection with Englemere, who won a 5f Catterick maiden in good style, preferred to Wolverhampton scorer Lady Lightning.

RIVER SEINE split a couple of next-time-out winners when an excellent second starting out at Newmarket a fortnight ago and the weight she receives from the previous winners (of which Englemere is feared most) may prove to be decisive.

Provided her Newmarket promise is confirmed, RIVER SEINE has a good chance on these terms. Englemere is feared most.

18:40 Windsor Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Having posted back-to-back wins on the all-weather last month, MANY A STAR has continued to run well on the turf and he looks more than capable of notching up another success from this mark. Cuban Breeze returns from a 159-day absence on a competitive mark and she must enter the reckoning, while Amazonian Dream is most appealing of the remainder.

This looks pretty trappy and the suggestion is MANY A STAR, who was in good order prior to a below-par effort at Goodwood last time and the return to better ground and slight ease in class are positive factors where he is concerned. The Thames Boatman has yet to strike on turf but he is likely to put that right before long judged on 2023 exploits and he arrives here on the back of a creditable effort at Chelmsford. He is second choice ahead of Amazonian Dream and Big R.

The Thames Boatman has the ability to feature off this mark but AMAZONIAN DREAM may be the answer this evening.

The hope would be that Johnny Murtagh's runner can put the benefit of the experience she gained in handicap company at Leopardstown last time to good use. Allied to that the daughter of Sea The Moon will likely come on to some degree for that first start since last October. One would have thought that Jessica Harrington's debutant, Another Night, may progress for the run, given that stable jockey Shane Foley is aboard It'sonlyjustbegun. Some of her owners are also involved in the first-time blinkered Double Agent. Total Look and Slaney Swagger merit a mention too.

KISIYRA has the best form and has found a good opportunity back in maiden company, so she's preferred to Slaney Swagger, with Double Agent also well worth considering tried in blinkers after a mildly encouraging debut.

On the back of a promising seasonal return KISIYRA (nap) can get off the mark on ground she handles

19:00 Carlisle Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Jordan Electrics scored over track and trip last autumn but he is penalised for last week's victory over 6f at Ayr. REIGNING PROFIT hit top form at this time last year and with recent placed efforts suggesting a return to winning ways is imminent, Ruth Carr's sprinter may edge this racing off the same mark as when going close at Wolverhampton a week ago. Minnesota Lad drops back down in trip with a shout, while Nelson Gay has proved best on the all-weather so far.

A chance is taken on MOUNTAIN WARRIOR who simply did too much too soon over 6f at Thirsk last time and this drop to a stiff 5f could be ideal. Reigning Profit and last week's Ayr winner Jordan Electrics are solid alternatives, while Spring Is Sprung should strip fitter with his recent reappearance behind him and Danny Tudhope isn't a regular booking for the yard.

Judged on his last two efforts, REIGNING PROFIT holds a leading chance off the same mark. Jordan Electrics is second choice.

19:10 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

WATCHYA showed much more when returned to the turf at Ascot earlier this month. A further 3lb ease in the handicap will aid his chance along with the forecast ground conditions. Four Adaay is another that will appreciate the return to quicker ground, and it would come as no surprise were the largely consistent Treacherous to be involved on his return from an absence.

DUBAI STATION is back in good order and handicapped to win, so he's taken to go a place better than when runner-up at Chelmsford recently. Treacherous is an obvious threat if tuned up for his return and Lil Guff warrants a mention dropped in grade.

Lil Guff should go well back on faster ground but ROCKING ENDS (nap) is taken to exploit a lowly mark on his stable debut.

19:20 Roscommon Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Some will doubtless look in the direction of Al Mudhaffar, as the only last time scorer in the field. The sole three-year-old may have enough to contend with though, on his debut on the turf. He goes up in trip on his handicap bow, and the addition of cheekpieces might also aid his cause. As always with an unexposed sort such Al Mudhaffar, market movements promise to be informative. The Joseph O'Brien runner isn't the only one that needs close monitoring in the betting, with the returning Spy having the potential to get involved. Ultimately one of the safer options appears to be Harry Rogers' in-form mare CLEOPATRA'S NEEDLE. She's being kept busy but looks the type to thrive at this time of year and there could well be more to come now that the six-year-old has started to realise her potential.

Sole 3-y-o AL MUDHAFFAR surely has more to offer for his leading stable after only 2 starts and can prove too strong for his older rivals. Cleopatra's Needle has returned at the top of her game and will be a threat if this doesn't come too soon after Leopardstown on Friday. Paul Flynn's Emeric completes the shortlist.

It looks as if MAGIC CHARM needs a step up in trip, judged on his two solid runs this term over a mile and he can score

19:30 Carlisle Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A couple of these went close on their latest outings, though Crypto Quest faces a tougher task than when beaten a neck at Catterick and SACRED FALLS is preferred. The latter just missed out in this grade at Hamilton on Friday and is taken to go one better with first-time cheekpieces possibly helping her cause. Exalted Angel slides further down the weights, while Gentle Ellen will be sharper for a recent reappearance and won over this track and trip last summer.

SACRED FALLS returned to form in no uncertain terms at Hamilton 3 days ago and, if the race doesn't come too soon, she should be able to go one better off the same mark. Crypto Quest is a danger and No Saint deserves respect.

Turned out quickly, SACRED FALLS (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Crypto Quest is feared most on recent form.

19:40 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SALIGO BAY has been on the go over hurdles of late and the son of New Bay, who landed the corresponding event from a 2lb lower mark 12 months ago, might be poised to repeat the feat. Just An Hour finished a creditable fourth over course and distance last month and is an interesting contender eased 1lb in the ratings. Dual course winner Carp Kid should be involved, while Croeso Cymraeg is no back number, especially if the front runners were to go at a strong gallop.

CROESO CYMRAEG was successful the last time his mark dipped into the 70s and might be worth siding with to build on a decent reappearance run here last month. Lexington Knight has been in decent form this spring and heads the many dangers along with Carp Kid, Incremental and the returning Warhol.

Lexington Knight is high on the list but CARP KID is tentatively preferred after his encouraging reappearance at Bath.

19:50 Roscommon Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This is a competitive heat and a strong case can be made for many but NARLITA will enjoy the ease in the ground and may come forward enough from her comeback sixth in a deep race at Sligo to land the prize. Progressive over this trip in the autumn, the five-year-old may be able to resume progress with a run under her belt and Harry Rogers now fits her with a tongue-tie in addition to the usual hood. There was only a length between the first three home in a C&D contest a week ago and the unexposed Sixpack, second on that occasion, may fare best in his renewal of rivalry with Jabbar and Duke Of Leggagh. Gowran winner Joanna Whitty looks fairly treated for her handicap debut and is another to consider.

SIXPACK was narrowly defeated by Jabbar here last week but, on better terms, he's worth a chance to turn the tables in a race that the pair may dominate. Duke of Leggagh was back in third that day and should be on the premises again.

After a gritty win in a Gowran maiden over this trip last time, JOHANNA WHITTY doesn't look harshly treated and can win again.

20:00 Carlisle Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Detective won this in 2022 and went close again in last year's renewal, but stablemate REDARNA looks to have stronger claims. Dianne Sayer's veteran arrives on the back of a good effort in the Hunt Cup at Thirsk and a similar effort in this lower grade contest should see him bang there at the finish. Ernie's Valentine won at Kempton last month but it's been some time since he scored on the turf, while Fools Rush In looks no nearer to ending a long losing run despite a slide down the handicap.

REDARNA has returned in decent heart this year, making the frame in the Thirsk Hunt Cup on his latest outing, so he can take advantage of this drop in grade to get back to winning ways. James McHenry made a winning reappearance last season and could be the main danger, ahead of Ernie's Valentine.

Veteran REDARNA has the best chance on last-time-out form. His stablemate Detective is second choice.

20:10 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Galactic Glow finished over two lengths clear of the third in this grade at Bath earlier in the month and he holds obvious claims off a 2lb higher rating. However, a chance can be taken on CERTAIN STYLE, who wasn't beaten far into fourth at Lingfield last time and the handicapper may have been kind to drop her 1lb for that performance. Lost In Time completes the shortlist after his fifth at Leicester.

LASER FOCUS was disappointing at Wolverhampton last time but cheekpieces are now off and he really should be a factor from this mark based on his hurdles ability. Galactic Glow and Miss Harmony are a couple of potential threats.

Star Of Epsom can win races on turf but LOST IN TIME has slipped back to his last winning mark and he edges preference.

20:20 Roscommon Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Paul Flynn is a force to be reckoned with in handicaps and the Longford handler can strike here with SOLAR DRIVE. Bred by the Niarchos family, the Mastercraftsman gelding is one of seven individual handicap winners saddled by Flynn this season having scored over this trip at Cork last month. Unable to reel in Dont Do Dramas over shorter at Sligo last time, Colin Keane's mount is now 8lb better off with that rival and can turn the tables back at 1m4f. Granite Bay is up 4lb for his handicap debut win at Cork and steps up in trip by a couple of furlongs. Connections were concerned about quick ground at Cork and he may improve for getting his toe in here.

GRANITE BAY improved for the step up to 10.2f when making a winning handicap debut at Cork recently and, with a 4 lb rise and further progress possible now upped in trip, he is taken to follow-up. Solar Drive was beaten 2½ lengths by Dont Do Dramas at Sligo but there's good reason to believe he can reverse those placings on revised terms here. Latin is also shortlisted.

Up 4lb for his Cork win GRANITE BAY could improve again for this longer trip and easier ground

20:30 Carlisle Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PABORUS returned to action with a convincing success over today's 7f trip at Redcar. He's penalised for that win but further progress looks on the cards from Ed Bethell's charge and he can go in again. Secret World ended last year with a victory at Wolverhampton when beating a subsequent winner and now debuts on the turf, while Operate may find this faster going to his liking having finished runner-up on soft ground at Pontefract.

The two with the most appealing profiles are PABORUS and Secret World, both of whom stepped up on their debuts when winning last time and are open to improvement. The former did the job well at Redcar recently and, provided the forecast fast ground doesn't count against him, he could prove too strong for Charlie Johnston's charge. Operate is best of the rest.

Redcar winner PABORUS is taken to defy a 5lb penalty. Operate and Secret World are the chief threats on form.

20:40 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

IFTIKHAAR faded into third in the closing stages when attempting to make all at Lingfield earlier in the month and he goes off an unchanged mark. The son of Dubawi looks to have plenty in his favour to get his head in front for the first time, with his main danger possibly being The Conqueror. Jim Boyle's six-year-old was victorious by half a length at Bath last time and has to be considered, while Curtiz is another to note with Oisin Murphy booked.

Oisin Murphy has a very healthy strike-rate for the Hughie Morrison stable so a chance is taken on CURTIZ bouncing back to form having returned to the mark he defied on AW in January. Recent Brighton scorer The Conqueror is next on the list ahead of the returning Caramay.

The recent Brighton winner THE CONQUEROR is the pick. Iftikhaar has been performing respectably on the AW so could rate a threat.

21:00 Carlisle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Northern Cracksman placed yet again when second at Haydock and is still looking for a first win, as is OCEANIC WONDER. However, the latter posted an improved effort at Ripon on her first attempt at today's distance and looks capable of opening her account off her current mark. The latter had the measure of previous 6f winner Blufferonthebus at Ripon, while Jesmond Dawn finished closer at Catterick on his handicap debut and could go well.

A tricky finale to solve but NORTHERN CRACKSMAN has found just one too strong the last twice so Brian Ellison's charge can gain a deserved first success back in blinkers at the expense of Oceanic Wonder, who stepped up on her reappearance run at Ripon recently and made do better again. Blufferonthebus and Jesmond Dawn can do battle for minor honours.

There should be a bigger effort in JESMOND DAWN. Second choice is Northern Cracksman.
