13:05 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Fozzy Stack's newcomer UNEXPECTED ISSUES has to be of interest as a sister to the stable's good horse Castle Star, who won at Group 3 level and was runner-up in the Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket, and he handled cut in the ground. Aidan O'Brien's Churchill filly Heavens Gate is an obvious danger. She doesn't have any fancy entries, but there are plenty of winners in her pedigree. Cradle Of Love holds a Listed entry at Redcar and wasn't beaten far into third on debut at Dundalk. She was scratched from a Naas contest because of slower ground, though. Noel Meade's Ribchester colt Lethimfly is well worth a check for market strength.

Probably just an ordinary maiden and the well-connected HEAVENS GATE is the standout. Gangsta Man and Cradle of Love both offered something to work on first-time up and their experience may give them the edge over most.

A chance is taken on UNEXPECTED ISSUES, whose brother Cradle Star was a smart 2yo for the same stable.

13:35 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EMERALD HARMONY is a potential improver from her debut sixth at Cork. She kept on well in the final furlong and could appreciate this ground as it won't be as testing. Back Down Under flopped when last seen in Dundalk but, prior to that, was placed five times on turf, including in the valuable Birdcatcher at Naas. Ojw Legacy has been placed on all three starts to date so is sure to be popular. She got closer to the breakthrough on her last outing in Dundalk, when beaten by a neck. Beatrix Power is a sister to a seven-time winner so is worth a market check on debut.

OJW LEGACY improved on the form she showed as a juvenile when runner-up in a Dundalk maiden (6f) 24 days ago and with the drop to the minimum trip expected to hold no fears, she's of interest with the possibility of more to come. Air Force One is another of interest starting out for his new stable with Back Down Under and Emerald Harmony others to note.

It could pay to take a chance on AIR FORCE ONE who ran in maidens at top tracks for David O'Meara.

14:05 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Ken Condon saddled his first winner of the season in Naas last week and has prospects with VERACIDAD. This filly was placed three times off higher marks last season and is very much at home on rain-softened ground. Velvet Skies is running consistently well, with three runner-up berths in a row. His latest effort came in a higher grade and Wesley Joyce eases his welter burden by 5lb, so the pair should be right on the premises. Artful Approach can build upon his fourth over C&D last month. It was quite a drop in trip for him, but he took to sprinting as he put in plenty of good late work in that big field.

LAYOFTHELAND left previous efforts well behind when a close fourth in a big field at the Curragh on handicap bow last month so gets the vote. Velvet Skies and Artful Approach head the dangers.

On the back of a good start in handicap company when fourth of 21 against older rivals over C&D, ARTFUL APPROACH (nap) gets the vote

14:15 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

State Of Bliss was well held in fourth in a class 4 event at Huntingdon last time, but he is now 2lb lower and will appreciate this drop in grade. However, the vote goes to L'IMPERTINENT, who has failed to fire since joining the Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero stable, but he switches to hurdles and takes a sizeable drop in grade. The son of Fame And Glory could prove too good for these, while Phoebe's Charm rates next best.

KING OTIS could be worth chancing dropped into a seller. L'Impertinent is a classy sort for this level and could bounce back. Tara Iti is another to note.

Topweight L'IMPERTINENT looks particularly interesting. A winning hurdler/chaser in Ireland, he takes on much easier company here.

14:25 Ffos Las Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Last-time-out winners Carrigmoorna Rowan and Magical Escape are obvious contenders despite picking up penalties, with the latter preferred of that pair given he stayed on in a pleasing manner when scoring at Chepstow last month. However, PATRIOTIK, who sets the standard on the official ratings, could be the way to go on this occasion. The selection had plenty in hand when winning over 2m4f at this venue in March and is taken to flourish further with the step up in trip a likely source of improvement.

There should be more to come from PATRIOTIK now tackling a longer trip so he gets the vote ahead of Nicky Henderson's Old Time Chaser, who showed promise on his hurdle debut at a time when his stable was under a bit of a cloud. Idefix de Ciergues can place yet again.

2m4f course winner PATRIOTIK ran well in defeat behind useful opposition in two 2m novices here last month and now tries a new trip.

14:35 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

UN BACIO ANCORA ran a stormer on her return to turf in the Curragh last month. She was just pipped in third, by a short head and a neck, in that massive field after attracting support. The horse behind her in seventh came out and won in this grade at Sligo last Sunday. Step Back In Time has a C&D victory to her name and ran well for a long way when sixth on her seasonal reappearance here last month. My Girl Sioux is a long-standing maiden but is capable of picking up a cheque, while Stanhope competes off a very lowly mark with Keithen Kennedy's claim factored in, and he does love Navan.

NOUVEL ESPOIR produced her best effort when runner-up in a C&D maiden in October and is on a fair mark on that form, so she could be the answer with a reappearance run under her belt. Step Back In Time shaped well fifth on her return here 10 days ago and is next best ahead of My Girl Sioux and Un Bacio Ancora.

Although he didn't shine on h'cap debut at the Curragh, NOUVEL ESPOIR still appeals as being well treated on the pick of his maiden form

14:45 Fakenham Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner SEEYOUINMYDREAMS makes only her second start over the smaller obstacles after running too bad to be true when pulled up at Newbury in November. Paul Nicholls' six-year-old has undergone wind surgery since and, provided she can settle better, she looks the one to beat. La Gomera was well beaten in handicap company at Hereford in January, but she has to be considered back in a maiden, while Mountain Lake is another to watch out for.

JACKELINE has her limitations as a hurdler, but she shaped well with a view to stepping up in distance at Chepstow last time, so gets the nod. Seeyouinmydreams shaped as if amiss when pulled up on her hurdling debut back in November and should be capable of much better based on her bumper form, while La Gomera and Mountain Lake are others in the mix.

This can go to JACKELINE who gave the impression a step up in trip would suit when third at Chepstow last time.

14:55 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A wind operation seemed to have revitalised SHILLANAVOGY when he won at Hereford in April and the six-year-old can kick on from competitive mark on just his third start in a handicap. Twyford's Diamond doesn't have much to find to win a race of this nature and can give the selection the most to think about if she handles the step back up in trip. Everyonesacritic and Crossbeau are others fancied to be on the premises in this company.

The one who stands out is the unexposed JASMIN DE GRUGY, who was narrowly outpointed by a rapid improver on his handicap bow at Wincanton where he pulled miles clear of the rest. An 8 lb rise is easy to swallow both on account of the strength of that Wincanton form (the winner has gone in twice again since) and the potential he possesses. Shillanavogy opened his account on his first run following a wind op at Hereford and he rates the main danger ahead of Senor Diaz and Richardson.

One of two to sprint a long way clear of the others when going close on his handicap debut at Wincanton, JASMIN DE GRUGY gets the nod.

15:05 Navan Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NEPTUNES STAIRCASE wouldn't be winning out of turn and gets first-time cheekpieces after three consecutive runner-up finishes. He is proven over this trip as he was just held by a neck over C&D in October. Zoffman put in a satisfactory seasonal reappearance when third over a slightly shorter trip at this track in April. He was good enough to finish second in a premier handicap at the Curragh last summer. Bay Of Sanibel is up in class, but won her maiden over C&D and was narrowly beaten at this track last month. Minella Mate is returning from a lengthy absence, but was in decent form in August and September.

A winner on her second start in maidens at 2 yrs, BAY OF SANIBEL showed further improvement when runner-up on return/handicap debut here (13f) 10 days ago and, open to further progress, she looks to hold solid claims of going a place better here. Zoffman and Neptunes Staircase head up the dangers, with Minella Mate not out of things either.

The Harrington filly BAY OF SANIBEL goes well here and was a creditable second on seasonal/handicap debut; the extra furlong will suit

15:15 Fakenham Handicap Chase (Class 5) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KINGS JUSTICE had Kankin (third) behind by five lengths when filling the runner-up spot in this grade at Hereford last month and he only has a 3lb higher mark to contend with. The son of Pether's Moon remains on a workable mark and he looks the way to go. As for the latter, he is 4lb better off with the selection, so he ought to get closer, while School For Scandal is interesting with Harry Cobden booked.

KINGS JUSTICE is proving consistent, which counts for plenty at this level, runner-up at Hereford 23 days ago, and he looks a live player again despite edging up the weights a little more. Go Fox goes well here and is respected back from a break for all he's winless at this trip, with William Ewart another in the mix.

In a tricky low-grade chase KANKIN is taken to reverse last month's Hereford placings with Kings Justice on this better ground.

15:25 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A bold showing from Shillanavogy in the previous race would significantly bolster the worth of IONITY'S second-placed finish to that rival at Hereford last month and, off just 2lb higher, this could be a good time to catch the Evan Williams-trained five-year-old. Rocky Hill was in touch with the leaders when he fell in that race and can go close if his jumping holds together this time. Walkinthewoods has C&D experience and cannot be ruled out at this level.

ROCKY HILL's jumping let him down at Hereford last time but he is worth another chance on the strength of his improved handicap debut second at the same course in March. Ionity is next on the list ahead of handicap debutant Parliament.

Class-dropper TOTOWOLFE didn't run badly over 2m7f at Ascot in March and is fitted with cheekpieces for this drop back in trip.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

UNCANNY was a real eyecatcher on debut at the Curragh. She got going late and stayed on strongly but was unable to reel in the winner, who had flown. She looks the one to beat granted normal improvement. In addition, she holds a couple of Grade 2 entries this month and in June. Concluding Call showed ability in two spins on the Polytrack in Dundalk and she performed creditably in fourth on her turf debut at the Curragh. Quantum Light looks exposed after 14 outings, but has been placed on six occasions and has a shot at more prize money.

UNCANNY shaped promisingly making her belated debut when running on late for second in a big-field Curragh maiden 17 days ago and with this increase in trip likely to suit, she holds sound claims with progress anticipated. Concluding Call rates next best ahead of Quantum Light.

Having shaped like a certain future winner on debut, UNCANNY will be a short price to go one better in an ordinary contest

15:45 Fakenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for TIP TOP TONTO after an easy success over C&D last month, there should be plenty more to come from the son of Milan and he can overcome a 6lb rise for his in-form connections. Success may come at the main expense of top-weight Jolyjump, who was a taking winner himself over shorter at Taunton on his handicap bow. Soir De Gala is another to consider.

Unexposed SOIR DE GALA and Jolyjump look the pair to focus on, with Paul Nicholls' charge taken to bounce back to winning ways over this new distance. Jolyjump should have plenty more to offer after his Taunton success and is greatly feared back in novicecompany.

Preference is for JOLYJUMP who made a successful handicap debut on good ground at Taunton 13 days ago and likely has more to offer.

JESSIE LIGHTFOOT returned to winning ways over 3m2f at Taunton a couple of weeks ago and Henry Oliver's mare merits the utmost respect off just a 4lb higher mark here. Santa Clarita hit the crossbar at this venue last time and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Ask Lileen and Hamartia are others who make the shortlist.

LOVE ACTUALLY was surrounded by subsequent winners at Taunton in February so makes plenty of appeal down in class. Santa Clarita's 2 best efforts last season came here so is next best ahead of recent Taunton winner Jessie Lightfoot.

Fourth in a much stronger race than this on her latest outing, LOVE ACTUALLY (nap) can capitalise upon her favourable mark.

16:05 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Jazz Forever is the starting point having returned to action with a ready success over a similar trip at Dundalk last month. He is yet to show that he wants rain-softened ground, though, so preference is for Tony Martin's PALO DURO. He could make an impact off a mark of 67 in his first handicap having showed improvement in third in a Down Royal maiden. No Trouble has returned to John McConnell, who he previously had success for. Colin Keane has been enlisted so a big run wouldn't be surprising. Rampage is another to consider as he tries this trip for the second time.

There could be better to come from PALO DURO now that he ventures down the handicap route. Indeed, the unexposed 4-y-o took a step forward when third in a 7f Down Royal maiden when last seen in September and this intermediate trip could prove to be just the ticket. Epaulawn and Cleopatra's Needle both need to bounce back but that's entirely possible having slipped to dangerous marks, while Rampage is not without hope either.

Paul Flynn's JAZZ FOREVER has a decent draw to work with and he's off the same mark as for last month's win on the AW.

16:20 Fakenham Handicap Chase (Class 3) 29f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A tentative vote goes to the veteran COURT MASTER, who looks just the type that will relish this sort of test judged on his penultimate effort at Cheltenham when staying on late over 3m1f. The son of Court Cave has been lightly raced since joining Neil Mulholland and he is narrowly preferred to Trincomalee, who was an encouraging second at Sandown in February. Course winner Jigginstown King is noted too.

JIGGINSTOWN KING wasn't disgraced after 4 months off when third here 25 days ago so could be worth chancing stepped up in trip up against exposed rivals. Trincomalee is feared most ahead of Court Master.

The selection is COURT MASTER (nap) who shaped as though he would come on for last month's reappearance. He has won off higher marks.

16:30 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

NATIVE MOON displayed promise in novice/maiden hurdles and it would be no surprise to see the six-year-old make a winning handicap debut off what appears to be a workable opening mark. Blackacre is an obvious threat to the selection after his second over 3m2f at Fontwell last time, while Bridget Mary edges out Optimistic Joe and Face D'music to be best of the rest.

A few already in danger of becoming disappointing but BLACKACRE offered a bit more at least when second at Fontwell 7 weeks ago and could be worth chancing ahead of Bridget Mary and Native Moon.

There is good evidence to suggest OPTIMISTIC JOE will benefit from today's step up to 3m, and he gets the vote.

16:35 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ARBAAWI has been a decent recruit for Tom McCourt as evidenced by a victory and a placed effort in Dundalk. Crucially, he has winning form on slower ground from his career in Britain so should be a leading contender under 5lb claimer James Ryan. Duleek Street has been hurdling, but could give David Egan a good spin off a mark off 55 on his return to the level. Tara Power stayed on in third when last seen in Dundalk and could get involved as she has snippets of form on turf. Elsa's Pride has ability, and winning form from Cork, but would prefer better ground on her seasonal reappearance.

The vote goes to ELSA'S PRIDE, who improved in 1½m handicaps on her final two starts of last season and she could have more to offer as a 4-y-o. This trip could prove to be ideal, too. Arbaawi has put in good shifts on the all-weather the last twice and is second choice ahead of Eighty Eight, Akmaam and Jawhary.

David Egan looks an interesting booking for DULEEK STREET who should be well handicapped given the level he's reached over hurdles.

16:42 Southwell Handicap Chase (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HAVOCK has to shoulder top-weight for the Skelton team, but caught the eye on his chasing debut at Ffos Las when running well for a long way to finish fifth. Dropped 3lb by the handicapper and upped a furlong, he is entitled to find this company more to his liking. Cokytho has some solid placed form to his name and could be interesting if recent wind surgery brings improvement, while Fast Deal won over further last month and won't be stopping late on.

HAVOCK took a step back in the right direction sent chasing at Ffos Las 2 weeks ago so makes the most appeal down in class in a weak event. Cokytho should be in the mix again, while it's still early days for the unexposed Lord Denning.

It's hard to trust any of these. A chance is taken on HIGHWAY ONE O FOUR who is bred for this new discipline.

16:45 Ballinrobe Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SLIM MARVEL, who finished third in a mares maiden hurdle here last month, has every chance of going two places better. The six-year-old is somewhat unfortunate to be starting the new season still without a win, as she only went down by a nose when looking all over a winner at Wexford in November. The Andrew Slattery-trained mare won't get many better opportunities. With John Ryan one of the leading trainers at this venue, his representative Drumgill has to be of interest. Although well beaten in a competitive affair at Punchestown last week, the five-yea-old had earlier finished runner-up at Bellewstown. Wandering Rocks, a winner on the flat when trained in Britain, looks another live contender for trainer Bill Durkan.

SLIM MARVEL surpassed her previous efforts when third here last time and could be hard to beat in this company. Midweek Voices might be the main danger ahead of newcomer Dorans Mill.

An ordinary enough maiden hurdle and semingly a good opportunity for recent C&D third SLIM MARVEL (nap)

16:55 Fakenham Hunter Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A winner of two of his last three starts in the point-to-point sphere, TREVADA sets the standard on his first run under Rules for the Francesca Poste team. Jockey Zac Baker retaining the ride is a big plus and the eight-year-old should have too much for the in-form pointer Court Cian, as well as Precious Bounty, who finished fourth in a better race at Stratford last time.

TREVADA made an encouraging start over fences last year and arriving fit from points (dual winner), Francesca Poste's 8-y-o looks the way to go on his first start in a hunter chase. He can get the better of Precious Bounty, who matched his previous form in this sphere at Stratford last month and now has more severe headgear enlisted. Court Cian can fill out third.

The choice is TREVADA who has some good form in handicap chases and has run consistently well in points so far this year.

17:05 Ffos Las Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Shareef Star had some good form over fences in 2022 and although pulled up here over hurdles after a 578-day layoff, he is one to consider with that race under his belt. Hooky Street could also go well with Harriet Dickin's horses running to form, but the vote goes to BULLETS HILL. The winner of his last two starts over hurdles, he is bred to be just as good or better over fences and could surprise them all.

LIMETREE BOY left the firm impression he'd havefgone close under a more positive ride when fourth at Taunton 26 days ago, finishing with a flourish from 2 out. He earns the vote to confirm the promise of that run, with Bullets Hill, who has been thriving over hurdles in recent weeks, another of firm interest. Western General also rates a player provided he jumps better than he did on his latest outing.

Unlucky not to win at Taunton last month, WESTERN GENERAL can gain compensation if he avoids any significant jumping errors here.

17:12 Southwell Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Taste The Fear could prove popular here after his C&D success last month, but he won by less than a length that day and an added 4lb from the handicapper looks prohibitive. ERNEST GRAY has also been successful over this C&D and was a length second at Doncaster in March. With the going ideal, he can go well for the in-form Alan King yard, while Minella Double is only six and may have more to offer.

TASTE THE FEAR was perked up no end by the fitting of blinkers when cashing in off his much-reduced mark over C&D 2 weeks ago. With his rider's claim off setting his rise in weights, he looks a live player again provided the headgear has the desired effect once more. Son of The Somme, back up in trip, and Ernest Gray are others to consider.

Ernest Gray is perhaps the most solid of these but SON OF THE SOMME made a good start for Toby Lawes at Newbury.

17:20 Ballinrobe Handicap Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

NEW BARN LANE may be worth chancing on his debut for trainer Conor O'Dwyer. The seven-year-old undoubtedly has the ability to win a race of this nature but tends to pull much too hard. If O'Dwyer has managed to settle the son of Getaway, then he would have strong claims around a tight track which should suit his prominent racing style. Spick And Span, who was twice runner-up in maidens at this track a couple of years back, isn't without her chance. The Aidan Howard-trained mare has been off the racecourse since last September so her fitness has to be taken on trust. Handicap debutant Inthenickoftime, who like the latter also carries the J.P. McManus colours, is open to plenty of improvement.

MISSUS BEETON made a good return on her handicap debut at Bellewstown a fortnight ago and has a decent chance off the same mark if building on that. Red Glory and Dreamz are a couple of several dangers.

Wide open but RED GLORY shaped well enough on his recent handicap debut to suggest he can play a major role here

17:35 Ffos Las Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GOOD IMPRESSION is the only C&D winner in the field and although he is now rated 91, he may strip fitter after his Uttoxeter sixth which was his first start in six months. He can go well and may have most to fear from the lightly-raced Thatza Dazzler, who reverts to hurdles after a good second here last month over fences. State Of Honor and Cocardier are others to consider.

SMART CASUAL is still relatively unexposed and, having travelled strongly over further when second at this track last time, he boasts excellent claims of going one better. Coup de Gold is a threat on debut for Evan Williams and Thurley can't be ruled out.

The pick is unexposed 5yo THURLEY, who ran much better than the bare form suggests when sixth on his handicap debut.

17:42 Southwell NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Briery Bee might be the obvious pick after her second at Fakenham last month when beaten less than a length at the line. Roaring Home is another to consider seriously, but a chance is taken on GALE MAHLER. Sent off favourite on her Sedgefield debut, she had to be switched for a run a furlong out, and again close home, so was possibly an unlucky loser.

A few in with a squeak but the vote goes to ASIAN STAR, who would have likely gone close had things broken better for her at Cheltenham last month. With improvement on the cards, she can get the better of Gale Mahler, who was well backed and made a promising start when finishing a close fourth at Sedgefield 8 weeks ago. Debutantes Marco's Light and Wilmcote are worth keeping a close eye on, too.

Dan Skelton's ASIAN STAR was just getting up a head of steam when stopped in her tracks on the run-in at Cheltenham.

17:50 Ballinrobe Maiden Hurdle 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Willie Mullins-trained SUPERSUNDAE can score on just his second start for the champion trainer. The fact Mullins ran the five-year-old in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle on his initial outing suggests that the former French trained gelding must have been showing up well at home. Beaten just over ten lengths at the festival, he should find this a formality. Point-to-point winner Marv Michael has twice reached the frame in maiden hurdles, achieving a rating of 112 in the process. Ordinarily that might well be good enough to win a country maiden but the Henry De Bromhead-trained six-year-old looks to have bumped into one here. Kilkee Bay looks one that can make the frame for trainer Gordon Elliott.

SUPERSUNDAE sets the bar very high for a race like this and can't be opposed. Marv Michael had heavy ground as an excuse for a poor run at Limerick last month and can bounce back to form and fill the forecast spot ahead of Gordon Elliott's Kilkee Bay.

Supreme Novices' seventh SUPERSUNDAE takes a huge drop in class and is hard to oppose

18:00 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The versatile SANITISER has shown promise in his previous starts over hurdles and is presented with a good opportunity to get off the mark on his seventh start in this discipline. A respectable third in a similar type of race at Kempton last month, the five-year-old can be a force in this company if he carries the momentum forward. Mambo Beat is dangerous to underestimate from the foot of the handicap, while Ellerton is another with a solid each-way chance dropping back down in class here.

SANITISER ran as if just needing it back from 5 months off at Kempton recently and can show his modest hurdle mark to be lenient this time. Ellerton is another who can be made to look well treated judged on Flat ability and is second choice ahead of Easter Junction.

There are risks involved with all nine but SANITISER is well treated if he settles early and gives himself the chance of seeing it out.

18:12 Southwell NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EITHER WAY was second on her only start between the flags in Ireland and it would be no surprise to see the five-year-old make a winning Rules debut here. Yesanna cost 88,000 pounds as a store and she is closely related to plenty of winners, including the Grade 3-placed hurdler Tedham. Barrabool and Made For Me are the pick of those with racecourse experience but could be vulnerable.

EITHER WAY finished second in a point and has been picked up by Nicky Henderson since, so she looks the obvious way to go in a race where the bar isn't set very high. Yesanna is a notable newcomer on paper and Made For Me should step up on her Rules debut.

Either Way is an obvious one but YESANNA didn't come cheap at the sales and her dam was a dual bumper winner.

18:20 Ballinrobe Handicap Hurdle 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CAPTAIN JIMMY, who returned to form with an emphatic success at this track last month, can follow up. The Pat Kelly-trained veteran went clear on the run-in to win easily by five lengths. Although subsequently hit with an 8lb rise, the 11-year-old could well be capable of overcoming that hike in what looks an ordinary race. A dual winner here in 2022, It's Time Again was no match for Captain Jimmy when back in third in the aforementioned race. However, given that the David Barry-trained mare was having her first start in over a year, she might be capable of getting much closer on these revised terms. Mac's Xpress disappointed when sent to Stratford last time but on the balance of his Irish form the Paul Gilligan-trained six-year-old holds claims.

IT'S TIME AGAIN was third to Captain Jimmy at this course last time but that was on the back of an absence so, with a run behind her, she's fancied to turn the tables on that rival in a race that the pair may dominate. Mac's Xpress is also worthy of respect.

A dual course winner over shorter on good ground, IT'S TIME AGAIN can improve enough from her comeback to win again.

18:30 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The consistent STAY IF U WANT TO has a good chance of building on a couple of second-placed finished over hurdles and, on the back of chasing home a progressive type over an extended 2m3f here in March, the son of Soldier Of Fortune looks well worth a try back down in trip. Ikigai Star showed promise on his hurdles bow at Fakenham last month and warrants a second look, while Pub Crawl and Lunanera represent notable yards on their first starts under NH Rules.

IKIGAI STAR shaped second best on his Fakenham hurdling debut last month and, with improvement on the cards, is selected to open his account at the second attempt in this sphere. Stay If U Want To has found only one too good on both his starts over hurdles and is an obvious threat back down in trip, while Dirty Den should make more of an impact in these much calmer waters.

Preference is for HOME AND DRY, who's generally done well since returning from a long absence, latterly in a stronger novice over C&D.

18:42 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In a moderate event it is hard to oppose ASCENSION DAY, who was second in maiden hurdle over C&D a month ago, albeit well held. A reproduction of that form would give him a big chance on his handicap debut here. Mersey Street was not disgraced at Taunton last time and may have more to offer, while similar comments apply to Marrakushi.

The suggestion is the O'Neill stable handicap newcomer MERSEY STREET, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Chemical Welfare is a potentially dangerous opponent on his first outing for David Pipe and is another for whom market strength could prove significant. Handicap newcomers Marrakushi and Ascension Day are others who could have a say.

He's been off for 105 days but MARRAKUSHI has shown enough in two non-handicaps for this yard to believe he might not be on a bad mark.

18:50 Ballinrobe Handicap Hurdle 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

COILLTE ARIS, who went close in two stronger races at Naas recently, can get off the mark. The Sonny Carey-trained mare takes a further step up in trip, something that her breeding suggests should suit. Having had just the six starts in her career, she remains open to progression this season. Any Day Now was a winner at Sligo when last seen back in October. The 6lb rise subsequently inflicted by the handicapper is largely offset by Liam Quinlan claiming 5lb here. Former Listowel bumper runner-up Song For My Father reverts to hurdling here after two starts over fences. The Ross O'Sullivan-trained gelding had some decent maiden runs that would give him a chance of sorts in this lesser company.

COILLTE ARIS arrives in good form and there could be more to come, so she's comfortably the most appealing in a race where most have something to prove. Any Day Now is the obvious danger 6 months on from scoring at Sligo and Bearwithmenow is of interest if the market speaks in his favour.

COILLTE ARIS has been looking like a step up in trip would suit and she can make the breakthrough today.

19:00 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BIG BLUE MOON has a good chance to prove that his Warwick success was not a one-off performance and, with only slightly longer yardage and similar underfoot conditions forecast, a 4lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent Tom Lacey's representative from following up. My Chiquita is an obvious threat back under this code and is likely to give a good account in her bid to extend her unbeaten record over hurdles, while Notnowlinda is also a big threat now she drops back down in class.

This looks competitive but MY CHIQUITA looked one to keep onside when winning a brace of maiden/novice hurdles late last year and, with a recent spin on the Flat likely to have put her spot on for this, she looks a live player on handicap debut. Cabhfuilfungi, Big Blue Moon and Notnowlinda are a trio of others with reasons to recommend them and head up the dangers.

This is open but CABHFUILFUNGI gets the vote back on more suitable ground after an encouraging debut for Kerry Lee.

19:12 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Therapist has yet to show her Flat form over hurdles but cannot be discounted on her first start in a handicap. That said, preference is for ORBYS RIVER, who has filled second place off this mark on two of her last three starts and this appears to be an ideal opportunity to go one better. Others to note are Common Acclaim, Illucidate and Duneomeno.

Tricky stuff with JUMPING JUPITER chanced on his first start for Mark Walford having been placed twice here for his previous trainer. Therapist could be well ahead of her mark now handicapping in this sphere for Nicky Henderson, while Orbys River can win a race like this.

The outstanding candidate is THERAPIST (nap) who, considering her Flat ability, is potentially thrown in for her handicap debut.

19:20 Ballinrobe Beginners Chase 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Former Grade 1 winning hurdler ZENTA can strike on just her second start over fences. The Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old shaped with plenty of promise when third in a Grade 2 Novice Chase in Cork before Christmas. The ex-French trained filly will find this assignment much easier, while the better ground should also be in her favour. Magnor Glory, a winner here over hurdles, looks one of the chief dangers. The Terence O'Brien-trained gelding had some smart form over flights last season, including when runner-up in a Listed race at Killarney. Provided he takes to the larger obstacles, the eight-year-old can get competitive. Charlie Luciano, who made all when winning here last August, has also proven his ability to handle this track.

ZENTA jumped well enough when third on her Cork chase debut in December to think she can translate all of her very useful hurdle ability to fences so she should prove a tough nut to crack here. Like the selection, Magnor Glory has some useful form over hurdles and might provide the chief threat if taking to this new discipline. Extrapolation looks best of the remainder.

A classy hurdler, ZENTA is the top-rated of this field in that sphere, so should take plenty of beating on her second chase start

19:30 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

COOLEENYMORE may not have been able to land the double at Exeter last month, but she has the potential to improve for going up in trip and looks the one to beat for a stable that has a good record here. A determined winner at Catterick on her penultimate start, Mistral Nell must enter calculations, along with Chatshow Host, who has been runner-up on two of her last three starts.

COOLEENYMORE continues in top form and can get off the mark over hurdles. Mistral Nell could be the main danger ahead of Chatshow Host and Ellies Sister.

Cooleenymore holds solid claims again but MOLLIE BROWN can fulfil the promise she showed in maiden company last spring.

19:42 Southwell Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SOLAR SYSTEM scored by just over two lengths in a class 5 event at Fontwell last month and he only has a 6lb higher mark to contend with. The son of Pastorius makes only his third handicap start and he could have plenty more to offer. The main danger is Fierce Warrior, who is a bumper/maiden hurdle winner making his handicap debut off a workable mark of 110, while Allbetsoff is another to note.

Low-mileage 5-y-os SOLAR SYSTEM and Fierce Warrior could be the pair to concentrate on and preference is for the former, who settled much better in a first-time hood when scoring in good style at Fontwell and neither this 6 lb higher mark nor the step back up in trip are likely to be an issue. It's best to draw a line through Fierce Warrior's latest effort given that his yard was enduring a torrid time of things at that point and he is clear second choice ahead of Pozo Emery and Allbetsoff.

The 5yo SOLAR SYSTEM settled better in the hood at Fontwell and he duly produced a much-improved performance. He can go in again.

19:50 Ballinrobe Handicap Chase 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Denis Hogan-trained HENNING is sure to be well primed for this first visit to her owners local track. The seven-year-old, who is a three-time winner over hurdles, can race off a 9lb lower mark in this discipline. The fact that the daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar ran her best race over fences on her reappearance augers well on this return from another break. A winner here over hurdles, Presenting Lad commands plenty respect given his liking for the track. It would be no surprise to see the Mark McNiff-trained gelding take a step forward on his two previous runs over fences. At the foot of the weights, Ricky Langford catches the eye for the in-form Philip Rothwell yard.

MISTER WILSON is of some interest now handicapping for the first time over fences and gets the nod for the Gavin Cromwell team. Petit King is another who catches the eye now moving into his first handicap over fences and is second choice ahead of Henry de Bromhead's Great Bear.

Likely drying ground will suit the veteran WHATSAFELLATODO who won here around this time last year after a long absence

20:00 Hereford Handicap Chase (Class 4) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A slightly unlucky second over C&D last month when hampered by a faller two out, PILOT SHOW could be primed to strike for the first time since December 2022. Warren Greatrex's charge has been dropped another pound for that effort and that may be enough to see off the returning Can't Beat History, who could not have won an easier over C&D last October. Gazette Bourgeoise and Heaven Smart have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.

CAN'T BEAT HISTORY resumed progress when scoring over C&D when last seen in October and should have a big say if tuned up. Pilot Show should be thereabouts again with Gazette Bourgeoise another to consider.

C&D winner CAN'T BEAT HISTORY (nap) can pick up where he left off last autumn and defy a 9lb rise. Pilot Show is second best.

20:12 Southwell Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Point-to-point winner Eaton Anne changed hands for 25,000 pounds in December and it would be no surprise to see him get involved on his debut for the in-form Olly Murphy team. However, the vote goes to NEW ORDER, who was a long way clear of the third when second at Market Rasen last month, despite jumping left throughout. Charlie Longsdon's six-year-old may benefit from this left-handed track and he should have no issues with this drop in distance, while any market confidence behind Mostly Sunny would also be interesting.

Olly Murphy has his string in good order and saddles an appealing type here in EATON ANNE, who landed a maiden point towards the end of last year and it will look significant if the market speaks in his favour ahead of this Rules debut. New Order is much the best of those with experience over hurdles and will be a big threat if coping with this drop in trip, while Mostly Sunny, a three-time winner on the Flat, has to enter calculations on debut in this sphere for the Dan Skelton yard.

Dan Skelton's MOSTLY SUNNY was pretty decent on his day on the Flat and could easily be the answer to this modest contest.

20:20 Ballinrobe NH Flat Race 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The patience of connections of the well-bred SORRENTINO can be rewarded in this finale. Sent off a warm favourite for a bumper at the Punchestown Festival last year, the gelding unseated before halfway. Having resisted the temptation to return to the County Kildare venue last week, Willie Mullins can see his six-year-old gain compensation here. Kate Knows Best was runner-up on her racecourse debut at Gowran Park in February before running below par at that same track the following month. Given plenty of time to cover, she can show her true ability now. Fatal Flaw is worth a second look in the betting market given that his trainer Johnathan Sweeney is well able to ready one for a bumper.

GERS GIGI is a half-sister to a bumper winner and represents a top yard, so she's worth chancing to make a winning start for all that Sorrentino is a big player 12 months on from unseating (when sent off a short price) on debut. The Gray Ghost also has something to recommend him on pedigree.

SORRENTINO was well-backed when slipping up on debut at Punchestown a year ago but it is notable that he has been persevered with.

20:30 Hereford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

FERRYBRIDGE may have disappointed at Kempton last time out but he is best judged on his success two starts ago at Huntingdon when easily seeing off the reopposing Iorens (second), who is now 4lb better off. Lilly Pincin getting back on board should aid the six-year-old's cause and it may be that Jet Of Dreams gives him the most to think about on his second run back from wind surgery after an encouraging second at Market Rasen.

IORENS appeared to be travelling at least as well as eventual winner Ferrybridge when losing momentum with a second-last mistake at Huntingdon and, now 4 lb better off with that rival, she could be the answer. Jet of Dreams is entitled to come on for his Market Rasen spin and is feared most, while Famoso and Henri Le Bon are others to consider.

In an open handicap chase FERRYBRIDGE is taken to gain his second win over fences by confirming Huntingdon placings with Iorens.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
