17/2(-325%)
(11) Timetoshine 17/2, Fairly useful on the Flat in France, successful twice on AW in 2024. Sold out of Fabrice Chappet's yard for €30,000 in November and, with her recent spin on the level at Lingfield likely to have sharpened her up, she's of interest for her leading yard now switched to hurdles.
Fairly useful form in 16-race French Flat career (AW wins); behind on British Flat debut.

(13) You And Whose Army 200/1, Well held on the Flat for Stan Moore and similar story in 2 juvenile hurdles for John Jenkins at the end of 2024, finishing 19 lengths last of 3 over C&D latterly.
Yet to beat a rival after two Flat races and two over hurdles, in 3-runner C&D race latest.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

TIMETOSHINE has won three times on the level in France and although comprehensively beaten on her stable debut in that discipline at Lingfield last month, she appears to have been found a great opening on her NH debut. Wotter Trotter was a shade disappointing at Newbury but a repeat of his opening fourth over C&D should put him in the picture, while Guchen and Not So Sobers also bring decent hurdles form to the table.

WOTTER TROTTER wasn't up to quite a useful race at Newbury but his C&D debut prior to that was promising and he can come good back in slightly calmer waters. Guchen and Not So Sobers showed promise on their respective hurdle debuts and head the dangers along with Nicky Henderson hurdle newcomer Timetoshine.

The standard is set by WOTTER TROTTER. Ex-French Timetoshine comes from the Henderson yard and several others should be considered.

(4) Game Colours 5/4, Had wind surgery after pulling up on debut and placed on all 4 starts since, shaping better than the bare result when third on handicap debut at Fakenham (20f) 32 days ago. Respected with Sean Bowen again in the plate.
Hasn't raced over a shorter trip than 2m3f but has form claims; goes on all ground.

11/10(+27%)
(2) Rula Bula 11/10, Fairly useful in bumpers and perfect start in this sphere when a ready winner of mares' maiden at Market Rasen (20.6f) in November. Improved when second at listed level next time prior to being pulled up on handicap debut at Chepstow 23 days ago but well worth another chance to get back on the up.
Useful in bumpers and first blip over hurdles came last time on heavy ground.

Miss Dishy

7/1(-75%)
(1) Miss Dishy 7/1, Irish raider who won a Kilbeggan bumper last summer and confirmed previous promise in this sphere when taking 14-runner maiden hurdle at Limerick (16.3f) in October. Struggled in Grade 3 company thereafter and this much more suitable back from a break.
Irish trainer's only runner on the card; bumper/maiden winner; highly tried last time.

(5) Kupka Vallis 66/1, Saint des Saints mare who didn't go unsupported but ultimately seemed to find things tough in the conditions when eighth of 13 in novice hurdle at Chepstow (2m, heavy) on debut 23 days ago. Likely she can do better with that initial experience behind her.
Beaten a distance on heavy at Chepstow but was only 5-1 and may do better.
6
|PU| (6) Surrey Nemesis (300/1 -100%)
Surrey Nemesis

300
300/1(-100%)
(6) Surrey Nemesis 300/1, Little in the way of solid form in a trio of bumpers and well beaten on hurdles bow at Fontwell 11 months ago. Hard to make a case for starting out for new stable.
At huge prices, she showed very little in three bumpers and a maiden hurdle for Adam West.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content,

RULA BULA may have disappointed when pulled up over further at Chepstow last month, but she is better judged on her second in Listed action at Newbury in November. That form sets the standard and she may have too much for Irish raider Miss Dishy, who drops in grade having contested a Grade 3 contest at Down Royal last time. Placed on each of her last four starts, the consistent Game Colours cannot be ruled out either.

RULA BULA needs to shrug off her latest run at Chepstow 23 days ago, yet she'd previously looked a mare to keep on side, not least when posting a fairly useful effort when second in listed company. She gets the nod to bounce back, with Game Colours, who continues to shape up well, and Irish raider Miss Dishy heading up the dangers.

Assuming that heavy ground was behind RULA BULA's disappointing run last time, there's good reason to believe she can bounce back.

2/1(+60%)
(5) Stardhem 2/1, In first-time cheekpieces, took a step forward from handicap/seasonal debut when runner-up at Lingfield (19.5f) in November. Was up with the strong pace for a long way when third at Warwick (19f, soft) last time and he could make a bold bid sent chasing.
Remains a maiden but the ability is there to threaten off this mark on chase debut.

Pescatorius

11/2(+8%)
(7) Pescatorius 11/2, Making only his second chase start, capitalised on falling mark when getting off the mark at Catterick (15.7f) in December. Unseated early next time, but back on track when fourth of 7 returned to Catterick (good to soft) 20 days ago. Merits consideration.
Seems to have found his level over fences and should be involved.

(4) J'habite En France 6/1, Regressive over hurdles but proved a different proposition on fourth start over fences when readily landing handicap at this course (16.5f, soft) in January. Not quite in the same form at Market Rasen last time, but he could fare better back here.
Won easily here in January but never threatened to follow up at Market Rasen.

Kankin

6/1(+0%)
(3) Kankin 6/1, Successful at this C&D on chasing debut and doubled his tally at Fakenham (21.2f) in May. After a couple of below-par efforts, was yet to be asked for effort (in first-time cheekpieces) when falling 4 out back at Fakenham last month. Not ruled out.
Can be up and down but was running well when tipping up at Fakenham.

Pittsburg

5.5
11/2(-38%)
(6) Pittsburg 11/2, Returned to winning ways in handicap chase at Uttoxeter (16f) last summer and, after a couple of decent efforts on the Flat, creditable third back over fences at this C&D (good to soft) 2 weeks ago. Major player from 4 lb below his last winning mark.
Came from off the pace when a 10l third here recently; could finish closer.

Berliet Express

20/1(+20%)
(8) Berliet Express 20/1, Dual winner over hurdles but remains a maiden over fences. From his tumbling mark, ran better than of late when fourth of 12 at this C&D (good to soft) a fortnight ago, though others still preferred as he runs from 5 lb out of the weights.
Jumped poorly when beaten 16l here two weeks ago, taking chase record to 0-27.

(2) Mcgrath From Clune 80/1, Good second in handicap chase at Thurles a year ago but has gone the wrong way since, tailed off when falling at Leicester (15.9f, soft) 11 weeks ago on first start since leaving Robert Tyner. Up in trip with cheekpieces applied.
Lost his way in Ireland and he was in trouble when falling on stable debut at Leicester.

Thank You Blue

7.5
15/2(-173%)
(1) Thank You Blue 15/2, Has shown promise sent chasing this season, making good late progress when third at Worcester (20f) in September. Travelled well before falling at the third last at Perth (20.1f, soft) 2 weeks later, so he's one to note after a break with yard going well.
One promising run from five attempts at chasing; off since September, though.

Bombay Sunset

80
80/1(-60%)
(9) Bombay Sunset 80/1, Second in a point bumper in 2022 but hasn't offered much under Rules, making first start since leaving Lucy Wadham (in first-time cheekpieces) when pulled up in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 2 weeks ago. Looks to be up against it.
Has weak form claims from 6lb out of the weights; pulled up here on recent stable debut.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

THANK YOU BLUE has clearly had his jumping issues, falling in two of his last three starts, but he still held every chance when coming a cropper three out at Perth last time and his stable have been firing in the winners of late. With William Shanahan taking a valuable 5lb off his back, he gets the vote ahead of chasing newcomer Stardhem, who has placed on his last couple of hurdle starts and also represents an in-form yard. Kankin completes the shortlist.

Having edged back down in the weights, PITTSBURG ran well when third behind a chasing debutant at this C&D a fortnight ago and he could be ready to take advantage of his current mark. He is preferred to Thank You Blue, who has been showing ability over fences but could do with brushing up his jumping, while Pescatorius also enters calculations.

All of these come with some risks. STARDHEM perhaps has the most upside now switched to fences.

Not beaten too far in his attempt to complete the double at Chepstow last month, TWILIGHT GLORY can mount a bold bid here, especially if his jumping sharpens up. A comfortable scorer over an extended 2m7f at this track on his penultimate outing, the nine-year-old gets the vote ahead of Felton Bellevue, who has been placed on two of his last three outings. Racing Snake and Summer In Milan are likely to enter the reckoning as well.

TWILIGHT GLORY has returned better than ever this season, adding to his tally at this C&D before a good third at Chepstow (form boosted by the runner-up since) last month, so he is taken to resume winning ways. Racing Snake fared better than previously under Rules when third here 20 days ago and could be the main danger, ahead of Watchoutitscookie.

Tim Vaughan's TWILIGHT GLORY arrives in good form for his bid to emulate his 2023 win in this race.

7th of 17 at Doncaster last time was easily the most positive of three runs this winter.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL has shown twice in his last four starts that he is dangerous when allowed to dictate matters and, despite having to shoulder a 7lb penalty for last week's Newcastle success, he is fancied to dominate from the front again. If there is one to pester him it could be Tigerbythetail, who warrants plenty of respect following his first Rules victory at Catterick 10 days ago. Southwell scorer Playtogetaway will be waiting to pick up the pieces if they go too hard.

PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL quickened right away in the straight at Newcastle last week and will surely be hard to beat if turning up in similar form under a penalty. Playtogetaway is feared most ahead of Gustoso.

A winner last week, PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL is the form pick if he backs that up. It's a new trip for Playtogetaway but he is feared most.

Runner-up on both career outings thus far, including on his hurdles debut over 2m here last month, DRAYTON FLYER looks just the type to improve for going up in distance and this may be an ideal opportunity to get off the mark. Behind him last time was Blue Bellamy (third), who may well be in the mix again, while Golan Loop aims to bounce back from a disappointing effort when a short-priced favourite at Plumpton most recently.

DRAYTON FLYER has gone with some promise when runner-up on both his runs to date and is fancied to get off the mark here now stepping up in distance. Last Rodeo also has better days ahead of him and could emerge as the main danger to Olly Murphy's 6-y-o, although Golan Loop has the form to play a big part if back on his A-game. Blue Bellamy and Dark Mystery need shortlisting too.

Several have possibilities but last month's Lingfield runner-up DRAYTON FLYER gets the vote ahead of Last Rodeo and Cauvicourt.

DIAMONDS GALORE showed promise in her three bumper starts, placing in two of them, and she now makes her hurdling debut for the Nicky Henderson team. The daughter of Diamond Boy looks to have found a suitable opportunity and could get off the mark at the first time of asking in this sphere. Betty's Tiara beat Sea Presenting (third) when she occupied the runner-up berth at Ludlow last time and she can confirm that form in order to have a say. Dramatic Encore completes the shortlist.

It was by no means a strong race PISMO BEACH was runner-up in at Warwick last month, but she shaped notably well in coming from the opposite end of the field to the winner and is taken to get off the mark with the likelihood of further improvement. Smile Back and Sea Presenting are considered the main threats.

Betty's Tiara was just ahead of SEA PRESENTING at Ludlow but the latter came from much further back.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

FORTUNEFAVORSDBOLD arrives here on the back of a second over an extended 2m7f at this venue last month and the drop in trip could see the seven-year-old go one better, despite a 1lb rise. Mighty Moth is another with claims in first-time cheekpieces, while it's also worth keeping a close eye on Bolintlea, who placed at this track two starts ago.

FORTUNEFAVORSDBOLD confirmed her return to form when a rallying second over further here 3 weeks ago and she could be ready to strike from her reduced mark, with cheekpieces refitted. Bolintlea might be the danger.

This is trappy as a case can be made for all four. MIGHTY MOTH edges preference after her stamina was stretched over further last time.

MORANDI SECOND produced a good effort when he finished second at Market Rasen earlier in the month and only has a 1lb higher rating to contend with today. Patrick Neville's six-year-old remains on a workable mark and he looks the one to beat. Dirty Den took the silver medal home at Wincanton last month and is a previous course winner to take seriously. Of the remainder, Soldier's Leap makes the most appeal.

FAR AWAY WEST found only an improving sort too good for her at Catterick last month and remains on a workable mark. She gets the nod in an open-looking contest. Soldier's Leap and Dirty Den head the list of dangers.

The pick is FAR AWAY WEST (nap) on the back of a promising first run for Dan Skelton at Catterick last month.

In a moderate event it is hard to oppose SAN PEDRO, who bounced back to form when winning over 3m1f at Plumpton 10 days ago. He does not have to carry a penalty for that success here, which leaves Chris Gordon's gelding 3lb well in. Weaver's Answer had to settle for second at Hereford most recently and may have to do so again. The rest all have questions to answer, but Tropical Speed is the pick of them.

Twice a winner over hurdles following a break, WEAVER'S ANSWER has been freshened up for this following a creditable second at Hereford in December and can land the spoils. San Pedro took this in 2023 and is interesting racing off the same mark as when making all at Plumpton 10 days ago, although he's unlikely to have it all his own way with fellow front-runner Westtara for company on this occasion. Engaging Sam has placed over C&D previously and may be able to finish in the money once again.

Most of these have something to prove but SAN PEDRO (nap) won at Plumpton last time and is now 3lb well in off the same mark.

C&D win in January but only third off 8lb higher since.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Next Left hasn't been seen since finishing second two starts on the bounce in October and he's an obvious contender, but today's drop in trip doesn't appear to be of benefit to him. With that in mind, preference is for FLAMELCO. Sarah Humphrey's charge hasn't always been the most consistent over fences, but he impressed when scoring over C&D from 7lb lower last month and a return to that level of performance would make him a tough nut to crack. Rumoursareflying heads the remainder.

ROYAL KING has chasing experience from his days in France and arrives on the back of a solid hurdles run here last month. He makes plenty of appeal. C&D winner Flamelco is feared most.

A chance is taken on ROYAL KING, who acquired chase experience in France and should prove suited by the return to 2m.

MISS FEDORA went in by 14 lengths in this class at Plumpton on her latest outing and a 4lb rise may prove to be on the lenient side. The six-year-old is relatively unexposed over fences and can complete the double. The main danger might be previous C&D winner Superstylin, who finished midfield over 2m4f at Huntingdon earlier in the month. This drop in trip and a 3lb lower rating could see him get closer, while Shaw's Cross is another to note.

Suzy Smith's C&D winner SUPERSTYLIN shaped as if this return to 2m would suit ideally when a strong-travelling sixth over 2m4f at Huntingdon last time so looks the way to go off a handy mark. Recent Plumpton scorer Miss Fedora rates the obvious threat with the reliable Shaw's Cross and C&D scorer Angel's Dream also in the picture.

Top of the list is MISS FEDORA who made her breakthrough over fences with a 14l win from out of the weights at Plumpton last month.

Alexandra Larose took a giant leap forward on her handicap debut last month, as she went down by a narrow margin at Leicester. A 5lb rise in the handicap shouldn't be any barrier to success and she merits respect, along with recent Market Rasen scorer Seasmoke, but the vote goes to LOVE TRUE. The five-year-old looked set to play a leading role when coming to grief two from home at Catterick recently, she was eased 1lb for her troubles and, if none the worse for that tumble, won't be far away.

ALEXANDRA LAROSE was well clear of the third when narrowly denied on her Leicester handicap debut last month and is taken to go one better now. Love True had yet to be asked for her effort when coming down 2 out at Catterick last time and is a possible threat if none the worse, while Queen of Steel has been the subject of an interesting trainer change and also merits respect.

Alexandra Larose and Love True are shortlisted but a chance is taken on QUEEN OF STEEL on her first run for Fergal O'Brien.

Book Of Life was said to have benefitted from a step up in trip when winning over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton recently. Another bold showing is likely today, but the vote goes to ROCK ARMOUR. John Butler's charge recorded a comfortable victory over track and trip last Friday and a 5lb penalty might not be enough to prevent him from repeating the dose. Rampant is another to consider.

BOOK OF LIFE and Rock Armour readily appeal most as a pair of last-time-out winners, the former narrowly selected to come out on top with the possibility of more to come at this sort of trip. Rampant can emerge best of the remainder.

Last-time-out winners BOOK OF LIFE and Rock Armour may dominate, with the narrow preference for the former.

DOUBLE OBAN successfully completed the double in a conditional jockeys' handicap over C&D on his latest outing and is able to compete off the same rating. Olly Murphy's five-year-old could have more to offer and can continue his rise through the ranks. Through The Ages finished second behind the selection last time and it would be no surprise if he were to prove the main threat again, while Simon The Seagull is worth a second look after his third-placed effort here last month.

Hat-trick seeking DOUBLE OBAN will be racing off a 10 lb higher mark in future following his decisive win in a conditional jockeys' race over C&D 9 days ago, and he is difficult to oppose racing unpenalised. Through The Ages chased him home that day and connections may choose to revert to more positive tactics which saw this horse to good effect when winning as a juvenile hurdler. Lightly-raced Moonshine Man shaped a bit better than his latest finishing position, having help force a strong pace.

Olly Murphy's DOUBLE OBAN will be hard to beat if holding his form as he hacked up off the same mark here nine days ago.

SUGAR BABY was able to take advantage of a sliding handicap mark when hitting the target over track and trip recently and with Alec Voikhansky's claim negating the 3lb rise incurred for that success, he should go very close again. A strong challenge could come from Show Me Show Me, who ought to benefit from a drop in trip having posted a creditable third under Ethan Tindall last time out. Doddie's Impact might not be far away either.

Having eased in the weights, SUGAR BABY found things much easier down in class when resuming winning ways over C&D 12 days ago. With his rider's claim off-setting his rise in the weights, he makes obvious appeal in his follow-up bid. Doddie's Impact and Lady Nunthorpe head up the dangers in an open-looking handicap.

This can go to SUGAR BABY, who returned to winning ways over C&D last week. He's taken to beat Show Me Show Me, who is back in trip

SAXONIA contested a number of warm novice events last season before posting a career-best performance on his return earlier this month. The son of Saxon Warrior ought to progress with that run under his belt and may not need much improvement to land what looks a moderate affair. My Mate Beattie sets the standard with an official rating of 71 but she's beginning to look a little vulnerable. Absolutely Not hasn't been seen since making his debut at Wolverhampton last February but she might prove best of the rest.

SAXONIA proved a different proposition when a close third over C&D earlier this month and remains low mileage. He can open his account. My Mate Beattie and Absolutely Not look the likeliest dangers.

Saxonia is a player but this can go to SOVEREIGN CLASS, who has shown ability and is capable of improvement

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

The hat-trick seeking Paddy's Day has to be respected but the step up in grade is a slight concern. As a result, preference is for ELEGANT ERIN, who beat a useful rival over C&D when last seen in November and the eight-year-old is only 2lb higher here. Mon Na Slieve has dropped to a mark off which he could be competitive and Kevin Ryan's inmate may improve for a recent gelding operation, while Badri is another to note.

This is wide open but BADRI got back to winning ways at Southwell last time and remains handily weighted on past exploits so edges the vote. Paddy's Day heads the list of dangers on the back of his recent C&D victory, ahead of Mon Na Slieve, Mondammej and Dark Kestrel.

The choice is MON NA SLIEVE, who has slipped in the weights and has been gelded since his last run. He ran respectably last time.

CONCERT BOY has been in top form in recent weeks and Katie Scott's gelding sets the standard having finished second off this mark over 7f here on Saturday. Odd Socks Havana showed signs of a revival when fourth at this venue a few weeks ago and he could prove to be the main threat, ahead of Just Typical and Urban Dandy.

CONCERT BOY can take full advantage of Warren Fentiman's 7 lb claim and land a third course win of 2025. Odd Socks Havana knows where the winning post is over this C&D and is next on the list ahead of Urban Dandy, who went close in a classified event here last week.

With Alan Brown in tremendous form, it's worth chancing LIKEASHADOW, who has had a wind op, can return to winning ways after a break.

MERESIDE MADNESS accounted for Tasever (second) when winning over C&D a couple of weeks ago and four-year-old could make it a double. The aforementioned Tasever has to be of interest, although a 2lb swing in the weights may not be enough to reverse the form. The rest all have questions to answer right now, but Havana Prince has the ability to run well if ready to go after a 214-day break.

Four of these contested the race in which MERESIDE MADNESS notched his third C&D victory earlier this month, and he travelled powerfully through the race in the style of a horse who might be capable of winning again. Tasever chased him home that day and may have to settle for second despite a pull at the weights, while Streak Lightning is better than he showed on that occasion.

This could be another C&D win for MERESIDE MADNESS, who turned in his best effort last time and holds several of these.

JUST TEN HIGH did it well when scoring at Wolverhampton last time and a 3lb rise for that success may not be enough to prevent him from making it three wins in his last four starts. Runner-up over C&D on his most recent start, Bellagio Man is a key player, as well as Tomorrow Day, who has not been outside the first three on each of his last four outings over track and trip.

HURSTWOOD was a close second at this venue on his penultimate run and would have gone closer with a clear passage when fifth here earlier this month. Now 3 lb lower than his last winning mark, he may be able to get his head in front with a promising claimer in the saddle. Just Ten High is in fine form and can hit the frame for the fourth race in a row, while Captain Vallo remains of interest off his current mark but needs a good gallop to be seen to best effect. Kats Bob may be a live outsider.

Kat's Bob is a player for his new team but the progressive JUST TEN HIGH (nap), who ran his best race last time, is preferred.

REBECCA'S GIRL is in cracking form at present and dropping back in trip should not inconvenience as she looks to complete the hat-trick after success over 7f here last Saturday. Gary Rutherford's mare is 4lb well in and can see off Asadjumeirah, who was a comfortable winner over C&D on his penultimate start. Not beaten far over track and trip last time, and a capable sort on his day, King's Crown can have a say in proceedings as well.

REBECCA'S GIRL arrives at the top of her game and carries no penalty for her latest success. She can complete the hat-trick. Conquest of Power and King's Crown may give her most to think about.

The one who appeals most is the in-form REBECCA'S GIRL, who gets no penalty for winning over 7f here last time. She's effective at 6f.
