12:05 Sandown Maiden Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Lud'or sets the standard with an official rating of 120 but although he shouldn't be far away, the vote goes to KHRISMA. A dual Grade 3 AQPS winner before making the frame in a Grade 1 when trained in France, the JP McManus-owned mare should appreciate a switch to hurdles and may well make an immediate impact for the Nicky Henderson outfit. Ffos Las bumper winner Juby Ball is also noted on his return.

Having won twice in 12f bumpers in France, KHRISMA has transferred to Nicky Henderson and in receipt of weight from most, she looks really interesting on hurdles debut. Juby Ball displayed a similar level of ability in that sphere so he's a danger, while Lud'or will attempt to put his experience to good use.

Hurdles debutants JUBY BALL and Khrisma have particularly good claims on their bumper form. Lud'or looks best of the remainder.

12:23 Wincanton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A half-brother to multiple Grade 1 winner Appreciate It, JOHNNY'S JURY is bred in the purple and he could be primed to strike on debut for leading connections. Trainer Paul Nicholls likes to unleash some smart sorts at this track, and point-to-point winner Just A Rose could be another, while Game Colours looks the pick of those with experience having gone close over C&D last time out. Malinificent and Springtime Legend cannot be ruled out either.

JOHNNY'S JURY makes loads of appeal on paper starting out for a top NH stable and with those boasting previous form not setting the tallest standard, he could be worth siding with to make it first time lucky before market clues. Fellow newcomer Just A Rose is another to note. Malinificent, Game Colours and The Long Point look best of those with previous hurdling experience.

Everything would suggest that British point winner JUST A ROSE is above average. Malinificent is second choice.

12:30 Cork Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KISS WILL debuts for top connections having shown good form in a smart French bumper in September 2023 and should be ready for today's reappearance. Runner-up at Fontainebleau on debut, that race's winner subsequently finished second at Grade 1 level while the third-placed horse was placed at Grade 3 level afterwards. The selection sold to current connections for 280,000 euros that same September and while he returns following 478 days off, is just a five-year-old and is likely to have been given time to mature. Bacchanalian has useful recent form, which will help his cause, but is vulnerable to smart types while point-to-point winner Pure Steel ran ok on his hurdling debut here in December but should struggle to win.

It's taken connections of KISS WILL a while to get him to the track following his expensive purchase in 2023 but he couldn't be in better hands so a winning hurdles debut may well be on the cards. Bacchanalian sets a pretty good standard, with Pure Steel a potential improver.

Costly French import KISS WILL has been given plenty of time. He may be too strong for the recent Limerick runner-up Bacchanalian

12:40 Sandown Handicap Chase (Class 3) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Beat Box cruised to victory at Kelso last Sunday and merits respect under the penalty, as does Ostrava Du Berlais, who arrives following comprehensive victories at Ludlow and Taunton. She might be capable of better, despite the latest 9lb hike, but this could go to XCITATIONS. The 10-year-old looked in need of the run at Haydock in November, but showed plenty more over the same C&D a fortnight ago. Pam Sly's charge is now 8lb lower than when landing this in 2023 and looks set to go very close once more.

OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS looks a handicapper going places judged on a brace of bloodless victories in recent weeks and her revised mark looks well within range. Beat Box has enjoyed a fine campaign and he's also well weighted turned out under a penalty, with Dr T J Eckleburg likely to be thereabouts.

Improving mare OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS (nap) could well win again. Duhallow Tommy is second choice.

I'VE MADEUPMYMIND may still be a maiden through five starts under Rules, but she made a promising hurdles debut last month at Hereford. With plenty of improvement expected on the back of that, Ben Pauling's mare gets the vote ahead of Miss Altea Blue, who disappointed on her stable debut at Newbury in November but should be much more at home in this grade. Future Fortune is another to consider.

Paul Nicholls' French recruit MISS ALTEA BLUE should have learned a lot from her debut fifth on these shores at Newton Abbot and looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to get off the mark. Ben Pauling's I've Madeupmymind has better days ahead of her and appeals as the one to chase the selection home, ahead of Granny Hawkins and Somethingtosomeone.

Miss Altea Blue is feared but there's a strong suspicion that I'VE MADEUPMYMIND has yet to do herself true justice.

13:05 Cork Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CASHELDALE LAD is the least experienced runner but is undefeated so far and is open to more progression. He produced a smart effort to win at Punchestown last September, with the runner-up subsequently attaining a Flat rated 96, and while the form of his later Gowran hurdle win was nothing special, he scored quite usefully and can better this 0-125 grade. Frankendael was himself a Listed hurdle winner last September and while well held in a similar race last month, is battle-hardened and suited by conditions. A Tipp For Gold won a maiden hurdle at this distance in September but might ideally prefer further and debuts for new connections wearing a first-time hood.

CASHELDALE LAD was by no means foot-perfect when making a successful hurdling debut at Gowran in November, but he still did it easily and is open to plenty of improvement, so is taken to maintain his unbeaten record. A Tipp For Gold and Frankendael are a pair of credible rivals, though.

Winner of his only Flat start in 2023, CASHELDALE LAD can build on his Gowran success which was achieved after a lengthy absence

13:15 Sandown Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

HOURVARI made a promising return from over a year off the track when second at Wetherby. The lightly-raced eight-year-old has been dropped 1lb and, should he step forward as expected, holds every chance of going one place better. Doddiethegreat didn't make it to the second hurdle at Kempton on Boxing Day and it is interesting that he appears again quickly. Fine Casting and the class-dropping Stream Of Stars and are two others to note.

FINE CASTING left his reappearance run behind when bumping into an improver at Lingfield last time, so he is taken to get his head back in front from 4 lb below his last winning mark. He can see off the challenge of Doddiethegreat, who is worth another chance having had excuses at Kempton on Boxing Day, with West To The Bridge also considered.

It's been 706 days off for FIRESTREAM but the market should give clues and he would bring plenty of positives if all is well.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A taking winner on his chase debut at Taunton in November, form which has worked out very well since, IN D'OR should have much more to come and a 6lb rise could underestimate the son of Nidor. Take Your Time must hold every chance if bouncing back to the form of his penultimate success at Ffos Las, while Livin On Luco is likely to be suited by these conditions.

IN D'OR beat a pair of subsequent winners when making a winning chase bow at Taunton in good style and is preferred to Take Your Time, who is expected to leave his reappearance run well behind.

He's up 6lb and David Maxwell has lost his claim, but there's still every chance that IN D'OR can follow up his Taunton win.

13:40 Cork Maiden Hurdle 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JUMP ALLEN showed only mild promise in last month's hurdling debut but stepping up in distance and dropping to this lesser maiden will help. The selection defeated a subsequent dual hurdle winner to score on bumper debut last May and while he was very one-paced on his Clonmel hurdling debut, that was a better race and today's extra yardage should suit. The Story So Far ran two consistent races last month and his form since winning a Limerick Christmas bumper in 2023 is largely unexciting, he stays well and likes soft ground so should give the selection a race. Work Place caught the Galway stewards' attentions in October but was tailed off over Christmas.

A potential match between JUMP ALLEN and The Story So Far, the former taken to find the required improvement.

The bar is lowered here for JUMP ALLEN, a bumper winner who was the stable's second string on his first run over hurdles

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A winner at Worcester on his chasing bow, ROCCOVANGO showed further progress over fences when successful at Uttoxeter in November. He would likely have won by further if not for a mistake at the last and Olly Murphy's charge is taken to defy a 2lb rise. Hunter Legend has more on his plate after going in at Leicester last week, but he scored with plenty in hand and is likely to prove competitive once again. Jupiter Du Gite has more to offer over fences and will appreciate this return to 2m4f.

Plenty in with a squeak but, having been crying out for this return to further, TRIPLE TRADE gets the nod to regain the winning thread from a much-reduced mark at the expense of Hunter Legend, who scored in emphatic fashion at Leicester last week and should remain competitive. Roccovango is 4-6 for his present yard (narrow defeats other 2 starts), so he rounds off the shortlist.

Last-time-out winners Roccovango and Hunter Legend could still do better but watch out for JUPITER DU GITE back down in trip.

14:05 Wincanton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Soldier's Leap found only a subsequent winner too good in this grade at Fontwell last month and has to be respected off a 2lb higher rating. However, it may pay to side with OUR DYLAN, who might have been worth more than the winning margin suggests when victorious at Exeter on his latest outing. Kayley Woollacott's nine-year-old can defy a career-high mark to complete a double. Sergeant completes the shortlist.

ST LUKES CHELSEA has improved with each run over hurdles and looks to have got into handicaps on a good mark, so he's an appealing candidate. The bang in-form Our Dylan heads up the opposition, along with Soldier's Leap, whose lightly-raced profile provides hope for better still.

A good few of these have become hard to win with. OUR DYLAN scores highly on the consistency front and deserved his Exeter win.

14:15 Cork Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

AD CAELUM makes a quick reappearance following a busy Christmas but her rating continues to gradually rise skywards and she is suited by today's conditions. The selection has been performing consistently well in recent months and while she is 8lb higher than when winning at Limerick only six days ago, is ideally suited by this distance and soft ground. Flat winner Folly Beach was well held in a Listed hurdle over 2m last month but had previously been running well in handicaps, so should compete. September chase winner Deons Diamond was pulled up in her latest hurdle run in November but ran satisfactorily at Fairyhouse last month and has place claims.

FOLLY BEACH has good claims returning to handicap company on the pick of her form, so she's put forward as the answer. Deons Diamond is entitled to come on for her reappearance and merits respect back over hurdles, with last-time-out scorer Ad Caelum also feared.

It could pay to side with DEONS DIAMOND (nap), who made a pleasing return over fences at Fairyhouse after a year off

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

DELLA CASA LUNGA landed a competitive handicap at Kempton last week and returns to this level with solid claims. A runner-up to the classy Kateira at the same track in November, the seven-year-old is taken to make the most of today's favourable terms and continue winning ways. The progressive Dameofthecotswolds looks worth a try in this grade having landed the odds with the minimum of fuss in a novice race at Doncaster. She's preferred to Aston Martini, who disappointed in a Grade 3 at Newbury, while Good Look Charm won nicely over C&D and has the scope to rate higher than her current mark.

DELLA CASA LUNGA stands out on form and, with a reproduction of the sort of performance she produced at Kempton 8 days ago, she'll be tough to beat. The others all have some sort of a chance, with Georgi Girl respected and another solid showing on the cards from Dameofthecotswolds.

Easily most seems to hinge on whether DELLA CASA LUNGA can produce the same sort of form she showed to win a 3m handicap eight days ago.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

NOCTE VOLATUS beat Stormy Flight (tenth) when successful in this grade at Chepstow in October and he is expected to confirm that form, despite being 5lb worse off this time around. Tom Lacey's veteran produced another good display when second in a stronger event than this at Ascot last time and he looks the one to beat. Stormy Flight put in a much better performance to fill the runner-up spot at Exeter latest and is noted. Of the remainder, Quel Destin makes the most appeal.

NOCTE VOLATUS lost out only to a subsequent winner when going for the hat-trick at Ascot and can resume winning ways dipping into veterans company for the first time. Stormy Flight won a similar event at Exeter last season and only just lost out to a progressive youngster there last month, so is the obvious threat, with Le Ligerien best of the others.

Although the hat-trick came up shy at Ascot, NOCTE VOLATUS still ran perfectly well behind one who has since won a big handicap.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MDAWI left a low-key debut effort behind when a promising third over a mile at Lingfield last month and, stepping up in trip, he gets the vote to go two places better this time around. Nobleman was the subject of some market support when down the field on his racecourse bow over 1m2f at Chelmsford last month and a much improved display would come as no surprise. Manny Oh merits a second look, especially if the market speaks favourably. Jiff's Army would hold every chance if turned out quickly following his victory at Lingfield on Friday.

MDAWI surely has a bigger performance in him given his pedigree and with this step up in trip sure to suit, he looks the answer. Jiff's Army tackles a new distance and sets the standard, with Nobleman fancied to step up on his opening effort.

Preference is for MDAWI who should relish today's extra yardage. Nobleman was clueless on debut but could improve significantly.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MIGHTY OAK LAD is perfectly suited by these race conditions and has good recent form. The selection landed a gamble to win on New Year's Day 2024 and while he failed to win since, finished third in a useful handicap chase at Navan last month and drops markedly in grade on suitably soft ground today. Rightfolksplease is rated 101 and has recent form but would prefer a sound surface and has done almost all his racing over two miles. John The Diva ran well in a similar race on his chase debut at Tramore in November (The Miracle Man finished seventh) and can get involved. Jap Pee M was an unlucky point-to-point loser last month and had prior hurdles form.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and MIGHTY OAK LAD looks to have been found a good opportunity to build on his excellent recent Navan third and get off the mark in this sphere. In-form duo John The Diva and Rightfolksplease appeal as the pick of the remainder and can chase home Karl Thornton's 7-y-o in that order.

A chance is taken on JAY PEE M, who would have won a Boulta point-to-point readily but for a fall at the final fence last month

15:00 Sandown Handicap Chase (Class 2) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SAM BROWN struggled in the Coral Gold Cup when last seen, but that followed a very encouraging third on his seasonal return in the Charlie Hall. The 13-year-old won this race last year, when staged at Warwick, off a 6lb lower mark but he should be competitive off this rating given his subsequent performances. Copperhead has been in outstanding form this season and is likely to pose the biggest threat to the selection, although Eldorado Allen and Remastered are others who arrive here with valid form claims.

Joe Tizzard has revitalised COPPERHEAD and Eldorado Allen recently and this pair of classy types could be the ones to fight this out, with the former marginally preferred. Empire Steel is reliable in relation to most at this level, so he's considered a player, too.

Copperhead has found his old steel in a major change of fortunes but ELDORADO ALLEN shaped well when one place behind him last time.

15:15 Wincanton Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

KADO DE JOIE has taken a big step forwards in recent months, winning on both starts, and even a 6lb rise for his latest success at Lingfield a month ago may not be enough to stop him here. Authentic Legacy has been running well in defeat of late and has to be of interest in first-time cheekpieces, while any market support for Ninth Loch would have to be noted.

KADO DE JOIE again came from an unpromising position to win comfortably at Lingfield last month and, with the likelihood of further improvement over this still longer trip, he's taken to complete the hat-trick. Authentic Legacy should also have more to offer now upped in distance, with multiple hurdles winner Ninth Loch requiring close market attention on first start for Harry Derham.

This longer trip could make all the difference to the lightly raced AUTHENTIC LEGACY (nap). A steadily run 2m found him out last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ALYARA showed a willing attitude when scoring cosily on her debut for this stable over a mile here last month and she could prove tough to stop in a bid to bring up a double. Shaka wasn't seen to best effect when fifth here recently and, back at 7f, he could emerge as the main danger to the selection. Bishop's Glory and Tenyatta are others who could make their presence felt.

ALYARA ended a losing run starting out for this yard over 1m here 15 days ago and in a race in which plenty have questions to answer, she could be up to following up. Tenyatta from the James Owen stable, Shaka and Twistaline are others to consider.

It may be worth taking a chance with COCONUT BAY for whom it is possible to make excuses for her recent efforts.

15:25 Cork Handicap Chase 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A chance is taken that PRINCE ZALTAR will be ready following over a year off, as he is well handicapped in this sphere. A three-time winner and runner-up in an Aintree hurdle when rated 121 last December, he has competed in just two career chases but finished a good second on his latest effort and represents a yard which is doing well. Optional Mix has failed to capitalise on a lower hurdle rating in recent times but is better over fences. She won her previous chase race in June and today's rider claims 7lb. Five-time winner Where's Frankie is much better than he showed over hurdles at Navan last month but nonetheless would prefer further than today's distance.

PRINCE ZALTAR is very well handicapped on hurdling form and this is a decidedly weak contest in which few arrive in form, so he's worth taking a chance on despite returning from an absence of 13 months. Optional Mix can make her presence felt if bouncing back from a poor run and market support for Secret She Keeps would look significant.

STREET VALUE won this race in 2022, is back down to his last winning mark and has an exceptional record in January

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

OH MY JOHNNY rewarded his supporters with an impressive success at Uttoxeter, after falling at the last when looking likely to win at Bangor the time before. Both of those performances suggest that the five-year-old is progressive and an opening mark of 116 may underestimate him. Honky Tonk Highway is another unexposed novice who has to be noted given her Listed success over C&D a month ago. Others to consider are Hardy Du Seuil, Jour D'Evasion and Navajo Indy.

A trappy race to end the card. We still haven't seen the best of the unexposed OH MY JOHNNY who broke his maiden tag without being asked any serious questions and on just his fourth start under Rules, he can follow up his recent victory. Jour d'Evasion ran well here earlier in the season but might find one too good yet again, while we should see Aurigny Mill in a much better light today.

Most of these demand clear enthusiasm but the vote goes to OH MY JOHNNY ahead of Spirits Bay.

That said, Celtic Fortune hit the crossbar over C&D last time and is likely to be in the mix once again, while The Midwife edges out Inchagoill Lady to be best of the rest.

None of these can be ruled out but the vote goes to Evan Williams' in-form PUDDLESINTHEPARK who has been granted some respite by the official assessor and can now end a losing sequence. The consistent Jukebox D'Eddy and Leicester scorer Ronnies Reflection both enter calculations too in this very open contest.

There could be a big run in PUDDLESINTHEPARK whose latest show at Hereford offered hope that he might be able to exploit his good mark.

15:58 Cork NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

QUEEN'S MEADOW represents a yard with an excellent recent record. A stablemate won a recent Leopardstown bumper while another attained a Christmas Grade 1 hurdle place, and with Queen's Meadow being a sister to a Nicky Henderson-trained once-raced bumper winner, she could have useful ability. Introversio represents Willie Mullins and she too could be smart. By the same sire as King Of Kingsfield, both Introversio's siblings have already won including smart recent winner Honky Tonk Highway. There are quite a few smart bumper performers in Gers Shadow's pedigree, while Dancing Dame has shown some form but will struggle to win.

INTROVERSIO is with a top handler and is related to a bumper winner, so she's an obvious choice to make a successful start in what looks a thin mares' event on paper. Queen's Mead also makes some appeal on pedigree and Dancing Dame should give her running back down in grade.

INTROVERSIO has a nice-looking profile and the Willie Mullins-trained mare should take all the beating in a winnable race

16:03 Southwell Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FACT OR FABLE shaped with promise when fading into fourth after attempting to make all over this trip at Wolverhampton recently and he gets the tentative vote to land the spoils in what looks a trappy contest. Tathmeen has the ability to feature in a race of this nature and he must enter calculations. C&D winner Monsieur Fantaisie arrives on the back of a solid placed effort over 7f at Dunstall Park and he could also land a blow.

C&D winner MONSIEUR FANTAISIE showed the benefit of a pair of recent runs when third at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 9 days ago and he's a definite player with a repeat back down at this level. Fact or Fable also ran well when just behind the selection latest and rates a threat with a repeat. Market confidence behind Dandy Lichious and Advindi would also need to be viewed positively, whilst Star of Atlantis isn't dismissed lightly, either.

The vote goes to MONSIEUR FANTAISIE, ahead of Fact Or Fable who ties in closely with the selection.

NORTHSTEAD GARDENS is a pretty reliable sort and gets the tentative vote in a decidedly ordinary race. Cherry King and Sir Laurence Graff rate the principal threats.

16:35 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Line Of Force acquitted himself quite well when set some stiff assignments by Karl Burke and made a successful beginning for his current stable when digging deep over 6f here. The extra furlong is a slight concern and an initial mark of 87 isn't exactly lenient, so the vote goes to ART MARKET. The Calyx colt's two victories have come in the hands of Adam Farragher and his dam won on the all-weather so he should handle the surface. Misty Sky's handicap debut was solid enough at Wolverhampton and she will give them something to aim at.

LINE OF FORCE signed off his juvenile campaign in the perfect fashion on debut for this yard over 6f a fortnight ago and with the same claimer on again, a bold follow-up bid is on the cards. Art Market and Misty Sky could be the main threats.

This may be dominated by William Haggas, with the returning ART MARKET preferred to Choreographic.

16:50 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TWILIGHT GUEST showed some improvement when fourth in a handicap at Chelmsford on his first appearance after wind surgery. He failed to get a clear passage on that occasion and could go close with normal luck in-running. Dors Delight steps back up in distance with a chance after placing over a mile at Chelmsford, while Dash Power produced a better effort at the same venue on his first start for his new trainer and could get involved.

INIT TOGETHER ran up to his best on his most recent outing over jumps, so he appeals as the most solid option returning to this code for a new trainer. Pop Noodle has good claims on the pick of his form, with Twilight Guest and Dors Delight others to consider.

The vote goes to POP NOODLE, who didn't get any luck over C&D last time and that was a promising effort after wind surgery.

17:05 Southwell Handicap (Class 3) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MOON OVER MIAMI made a triumphant debut at last year's Lincoln meeting and then had no trouble following up when odds-on at Yarmouth. An eight-month absence would have to be a worry, but he looks a smart prospect. Glen Buck also won his first two before being sidelined, and his comeback third at Wolverhampton was very encouraging. He heads a list of dangers that also includes Old Harrovian, Asgard's Captain and Barenboim.

A cracking handicap with several of these very interesting for one reason or another. MOON OVER MIAMI looked a potential pattern performer in the making when winning both starts in the spring and while he's been absent since, he's in top hands. This mark therefore could be lenient so he gets the vote in favour of Glen Buck and Old Harrovian.

A good race. Moon Over Miami and Old Harrovian (second choice) have plenty to recommend them but preference is for GLEN BUCK.

17:20 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DUBAI MAGIC stumbled after clipping heels here last time and can be forgiven that effort. James Tate's filly was beaten only a nose over C&D back in September and gets the vote off the same mark. Miakoda also went close at this venue in the same month, and he debuts for James Owen's in-form yard with a chance having now been gelded. Newcastle runner-up Cuban Lynx is worthy of a second glance representing last year's winning stable.

MIAKODA signed off for Richard Hannon with a good Kempton third and is fancied to make a winning start for the excellent James Owen team here. Cuban Lynx is feared most on the back of his solid Newcastle second with Frankies Dream and Woodhay Whisper also in the mix.

A maiden handicap in all but name. Preference is for MIAKODA on his debut for James Owen. Dubai Magic is second choice.

17:35 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Three Beauz is turned out quickly following Wednesday's narrow Newcastle defeat, but she was collared close home so the extra furlong isn't ideal. Wolverhampton third Laura's Breeze also makes a swift return to action, as does JUST TEN HIGH, who atoned for a heavy Lingfield defeat when making all over C&D last week and will be hard to peg back again. Bomb Squad arrives on the back of a Wolverhampton success and could be the primary threat.

JUST TEN HIGH responded well to this headgear and the return to sprinting when scoring over C&D last week and should make another bold bid. The in-form Bomb Squad is another to consider along with Eldeyaar, who took a step back in the right direction when third over C&D last month.

This can go to JUST TEN HIGH who is tactically versatile and looked to have some potential as a sprinter when winning over C&D last week

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Star Chorus (third) was inconvenienced but did well to finish ahead of Queenofdestruction (fourth) when the pair met at Newcastle in November and both are expected to be in the thick of things here. However, it could pay to side with MISS FUNKY MONK. She improved for her Southwell debut over 6f when dropped to this distance here last month and can build on that second-placed effort.

QUEENOFDESTRUCTION fluffed her lines when an odds-on fourth at Newcastle last time but cam make amends, with Miss Funky Monk and Star Chorus not discounted.

Although QUEENOFDESTRUCTION was beaten at short odds last time, a return to the form of her C&D debut would make her hard to beat.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Optician was defeated by Parramount over C&D in November, but he gained his revenge the following month and the pair are likely to be thereabouts once again. However, the vote goes to WONDER, who landed his maiden over the extended 1m1f here before shaping with promise over 1m2f at Newcastle on his handicap bow. The lightly-raced four-year-old can continue to progress, especially given that a further step up in trip looks a positive move.

OPTICIAN arrives at the top of his game and with the form of his latest C&D success having been well advertised he is fancied to bag a sixth course victory. James Fanshawe's Wonder is much less exposed and rates the main threat on the back of his encouraging Newcastle fourth with Irish challenger Warrior Lion and Sam England's new recruit Saligo Bay others to consider.

It's one each between OPTICIAN (nap) and Parramount over C&D. The former won well last time and may have more to offer as a stayer.

18:35 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Rebel Empire powered clear to win over this trip at Lingfield on Tuesday and he reappears quickly under a 5lb penally. He can go well, but a chance is taken on TYKE, who is slipping down the ratings after some below-par efforts but has won three of his five starts here and is clearly capable on his day. Penalised C&D winner Ormolulu and Many A Star could fight it out for third.

MANY A STAR continues to shape better than the bare result and could be worth chancing up against penalised-winners Ormolulu and Rebel Empire.

An open contest can go to the well-handicapped MANY A STAR who shaped as if ready to strike when third at Chelmsford last month.

18:50 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ROSENPUR has been knocking at the door recently and although winless from 15 attempts, a first career success looks possible for the son of Pour Moi. Circles has twice run creditably at Dundalk this winter and looks to be one of the main protagonists, along with the well-drawn Ignac Lamar, who finished a solid third over C&D last month. Angel Of Antrim would have to be feared if turned out quickly following Thursday's Newcastle triumph.

CIRCLES has won here in the past and shaped as if she's in top form when staying on into third in a more competitive race at Dundalk last time, so she's worth chancing. The thriving Angel of Antrim is an obvious player and Rosenpur should be on the premises.

The vote goes to CIRCLES who won a division of this race off 1lb lower last year and signalled a return to form at Dundalk last time.

19:05 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a race with very little recent winning form, ANDALSEEYAGRAHAM stands out after getting off the mark over this trip at Newcastle a week ago. A shock 125/1 winner that day, an added 4lb may not stop him from following up with Ethan Tindall retaining the ride. Archie Watson won this last year and Grey Operations is narrowly preferred over Followeroffashion of his pair, while Ceira G and Miss Pocket Rocket look interesting ahead of their handicap debuts.

KALEIDOSCOPE EYES was narrowly denied over 7f here last month and having been too free for her own good in a reapplied hood upped to 1m last time, Mick Appleby's filly gets the nod to open her account back sprinting in a change of headgear. Grey Operations heads up the dangers following his improved effort over C&D recently, with A Fine Claret and Andalseeyagraham taken to fight out minor honours.

Being likely to build on his C&D effort, GREY OPERATIONS (nap) holds particularly strong claims. Kaleidoscope Eyes is second pick.

19:20 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Split Elevens finished a close-up third over track and trip in November and warrants plenty of respect off an unchanged rating. However, the vote goes to NIGHTS OVER EGYPT, who was closing all the way to the line when fifth over an extended mile here and also goes off the same mark. Jennie Candlish's five-year-old could appreciate this drop in trip in order to make it two wins out of his last three starts. Reputation is another to note.

SPLIT ELEVENS was in good form at this track in the autumn and is still on a handy mark back from a break, so he's preferred to the in-form City Cyclone, with Reputation also respected in an open-looking contest.

Split Elevens can give another bold show but CITY CYCLONE is interesting back over C&D off a favourable mark.

19:50 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Vibrato was all out to score by a head at Southwell last weekend and he should remain competitive, but a 5lb penalty for that victory makes life tougher. With that in mind, CYNOSURE gets the nod. Andrew Balding's four-year-old produced arguably a career best when taking the silver medal home at Southwell in November and he could take another step forward to go one better. Smart Hero is the pick of the remainder.

Making only his second handicap start, CYNOSURE resumed his progress when bumping into a well-treated rival at Southwell in November and he can build on that to double his tally. Vibrato arrives in good form and is respected under a penalty, while Urban Sprawl could also be thereabouts.

With further improvement very plausible, CYNOSURE is preferred. Island Bandit is second choice.

20:20 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MASQOOL beat a subsequent winner over track and trip on Boxing Day and he is only 2lb higher for that triumph. The seven-year-old is well drawn to lead from stall two and he could prove tough to catch. Crafter hasn't been out of the top two in each of his last three starts and would be foolish to dismiss off a 1lb higher rating than his most recent second at Lingfield. Last-time-out C&D winner Molly Valentine is another to keep a close eye on.

CRAFTER continued in good heart when runner-up at Lingfield on his latest outing, despite having been held up in a slowly-run race, so he is taken to gain a third C&D victory. He is preferred to Molly Valentine, who returned to winning ways at this course a fortnight ago, while Have You A Minute had excuses last time and could bounce back.

Preference is for MASQOOL, who recorded his ninth AW win when making virtually all over C&D on Boxing Day. Crafter is feared most.
