1st (2) (2.5/1 +0%) Bunker Bay |
2.5/1(+0%) | (2) Bunker Bay 2.5/1, Maiden. 9/2 and visored for 1st time, last of 8 in handicap at Haydock (10.2f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Hood back on (ran well in it here on return). Respected. Well beaten twice since going close over C&D from this mark; big revival needed.. |

2nd (4) (1.38/1 +39%) Oriental Art |
1.38/1(+39%) | (4) Oriental Art 1.38/1, Remains a maiden after 18 Flat runs. Off 5 months, 5/1, good third of 6 in handicap at Windsor (10f, firm) 4 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Another solid effort latest; gets this trip; should be thereabouts if ground is okay.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (5.5/1 +15%) Daniel Deronda |
5.5/1(+15%) | (3) Daniel Deronda 5.5/1, Sixth of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (11.6f, good to firm, 18/1) 12 days ago. Not ruled out based on his penultimate run at Doncaster but not easy to be confident.. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (3.33/1 -77%) My Chiquita |
3.33/1(-77%) | (1) My Chiquita 3.33/1, Latest win at Leicester in June. 7/1, sixth of 7 in handicap at Windsor (11.4f, firm) 4 days ago. This is easier and she could bounce back. Raced freely when well held from this mark at Windsor latest; big player if bouncing back.. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
MY CHIQUITA ran below form when attempting to land a hat-trick of victories at Windsor on Monday, but the four-year-old is expected to return to form in a contest that doesn't appear to have much depth on paper. Oriental Art was third on the same card earlier in the week and is likely to be the main threat, while Bunker Bay is back on the mark off which he finished second here in May.
Tricky stuff with BUNKER BAY chanced in a re-fitted hood having gone close with it on here on his return. My Chiquita could be next best.
After an effort that felt too bad to be true last time, MY CHIQUITA is taken to bounce back to winning form.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (66/1 +47%) Aspire To Glory |
66/1(+47%) | (1) Aspire To Glory 66/1, Eighth of 12 in maiden at Chelmsford City (6f, 28/1) 14 days ago. Holds poor claims on form. |

50/1(+67%) | (3) Brooklyn Express 50/1, Gelded and 100/1, last of 7 at Goodwood (6f, good to firm) on UK debut 25 days ago, met some trouble. Comfortably held in two 6f events. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) (14/1 +50%) Goodeveningmrbond |
14/1(+50%) | (7) Goodeveningmrbond 14/1, Ninth of 14 at Newmarket (6f, good, 12/1) 49 days ago. Third in small field on debut; never threatened next time; gelded since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (2) (66/1 +47%) Aye Spyed |
66/1(+47%) | (2) Aye Spyed 66/1, Foaled February 17. Telescope gelding. Dam maiden (stayed 1½m). Newcomer by Telescope; connections also run Jimmy Speaking; market informative. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
The newcomers warrant the most attention with EULACE PEACOCK appealing most on paper. A 500,000gns purchase at Tattersalls Book 1, his dam is closely related to black-type performers, including the dam of Magna Grecia and St Mark's Basilica, and Andrew Balding's colt is likely to prove very popular on his racecourse bow. Tchaikovsky represents top connections and is of interest along with Power Mode and Cover Point.
This is likely to go to a newcomer, with 500,000 gns yearling EULACE PEACOCK getting the vote ahead of Cover Point and Tchaikovsky before any market clues.
The form on offer is fairly ordinary. EULACE PEACOCK, Cover Point, Tchaikovsky and Power Mode are interesting newcomers.

Barney's Angel |
(1) (6/1 -20%)6/1(-20%) | (1) Barney's Angel 6/1, 7/1 and hooded for 1st time, creditable fourth of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 10 days ago. Ought to give another good account. Maiden; consistent in AW handicaps this year; gives impression this new trip will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1st (4) (2.25/1 +50%) Lost In Time |
2.25/1(+50%) | (4) Lost In Time 2.25/1, Bounced back to form when second of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW) 5 days ago, albeit no match for winner. Can race off same mark here and must enter calculations. 0-11 for current stable but ran encouragingly last Saturday when upped to 1m2f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (8/1 -33%) Corporate Raider |
8/1(-33%) | (6) Corporate Raider 8/1, Blinkered for 1st time, belatedly off the mark when taking 7-runner handicap (28/1) over C&D (good to firm) 22 days ago, finding extra. Needs to back that up off 4 lb higher mark. Took well to first-time blinkers and change of tactics (made all) here last month. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (16/1 -45%) Alice Kitty |
16/1(-45%) | (3) Alice Kitty 16/1, 1 win from 3 runs this year. Latest win at Chelmsford City in May. 5/1, respectable sixth of 10 in handicap at Kempton (11f) 22 days ago. Others more persuasive. Campaigned mainly on AW for current yard; below form since reappearance win. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (2.25/1 +10%) Zafaan |
2.25/1(+10%) | (5) Zafaan 2.25/1, Well backed and justified support switched to turf when winning 11-runner handicap at Doncaster (8f, good to firm) 47 days ago. Worth a crack at this longer trip and not taken lightly. Suited by the switch to turf at Doncaster last time, opening his account; unexposed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (5/1 -43%) Dark Gold |
5/1(-43%) | (7) Dark Gold 5/1, No better than midfield in 4 starts in maiden/novice company so far, though did show a bit more when fifth in Lingfield minor event in January. In good hands and appeals as type to do better now switched to turf on handicap debut. Had wind operation. Open to improvement on handicap debut; withdrawn (upset in stalls) last Saturday. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (5/1 +75%) Raincloud |
5/1(+75%) | (8) Raincloud 5/1, 13/2 and visored for 1st time, below form fifth of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (11.6f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Claims on best form. Seven-race maiden; last two efforts suggest this drop back to 1m2f will suit. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (2) (25/1 +24%) Aryaah |
25/1(+24%) | (2) Aryaah 25/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022. 20/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, fourth of 7 in handicap at Brighton (8f, soft) 16 days ago. Back up in trip. Dropped to a handy mark. Inconsistent for new stable but is well treated provided he turns up in top form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
DARK GOLD had a string of four runs in quick succession during the winter, with his best effort coming when fifth at Lingfield in January, and a wind operation ahead of his handicap bow makes him of significant interest. Zafaan got off the mark at the fifth time of asking at Doncaster in May and the addition of a hood may elicit further progression. Recent C&D winner Corporate Raider and Lost In Time complete the shortlist.
DARK GOLD could prove a different proposition now switched to handicaps and is taken to open his account. Zafaan and Lost In Time look the likeliest dangers.
Granted another easy lead, CORPORATE RAIDER may be capable of following up his C&D success. Zafaan is second choice.

1st (7) (2.25/1 +50%) Monopolise |
2.25/1(+50%) | (7) Monopolise 2.25/1, 15/8, respectable sixth of 13 in handicap at Newbury (8f, firm) 21 days ago, not ideally placed. Only 2 lb above last winning mark and could be a player. Mostly sound form in 3yo handicaps this term; latest effort can be excused. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (1.75/1 +47%) Roman Dynasty |
1.75/1(+47%) | (3) Roman Dynasty 1.75/1, Confirmed promise of previous run when landing 10-runner handicap at Nottingham (8.3f, good to firm, 3/1) 7 days ago, forging clear. 5 lb penalty to carry now but remains feasibly treated on old form. Record is only 2-29 but the latest win came at Nottingham last week; ahead of the assessor. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (4/1 +11%) Lordsbridge Girl |
4/1(+11%) | (4) Lordsbridge Girl 4/1, Won pair of AW handicaps over this trip in January and acquitted herself well on turf more recently, latest when third of 6 at Salisbury (8f, firm) 23 days ago, running on. Likely contender. Has an encouraging record over 1m; the forecast slow surface may prove a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (11/1 +8%) Silver Screen |
11/1(+8%) | (2) Silver Screen 11/1, Hooded for 1st time, 14¾ lengths last of 5 to Chichester in listed race (80/1) at York (7.9f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Fairly treated on best form. 0-7 for current stable but ran well at Nottingham on most recent handicap attempt. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (11/1 +21%) Inspirited |
11/1(+21%) | (6) Inspirited 11/1, Seventh of 10 in handicap (33/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 23 days ago. Work to do. Has a consistent record on turf; enters calculations back in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (20/1 +20%) Story Of Peace |
20/1(+20%) | (8) Story Of Peace 20/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 10 in handicap (25/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 23 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Something to find on form. 0-4 and has one standout effort; turned in a stinker last time; headgear on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (16/1 -129%) Chief's Will |
16/1(-129%) | (1) Chief's Will 16/1, Latest win at Southwell in January. Bit below form fourth of 11 in handicap (4/1) at Newmarket (8f, good to firm) 13 days ago, missing break. Not discounted. Creditable third over C&D two outings ago; spoiled chance with awkward start latest. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
PANNING FOR GOLD takes a step up in class having notched up back-to-back successes recently, but the manner in which he won at Brighton last time suggests David Simcock's charge can handle a further 7lb hike in the weights. Roman Dynasty is 4lb well-in under a penalty having romped home at Nottingham a week ago, and he must be taken seriously. The consistent Lordsbridge Girl is fancied to chase them home.
Nottingham winner ROMAN DYNASTY looks well in under a 5 lb penalty and is taken to follow up. Panning For Gold and Lordsbridge Girl are feared most in what looks a competitive affair.
There should be more to come from PANNING FOR GOLD who is taken to complete a hat-trick. Monopolise is second choice.

40/1(+0%) | (3) Streaky Bay 40/1, Form went the wrong way last year, finishing last of 7 in seller at Leicester (6f, good to firm, 50/1) when last seen in June. Has enough to prove on her return from 13 months off. Regressed last term; best watched on return from 13-month absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (3.5/1 +0%) The Cola Brasil |
3.5/1(+0%) | (2) The Cola Brasil 3.5/1, First run since leaving Michael J. Browne when creditable 1½ lengths third of 6 to Shorts On in handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 9/2) 21 days ago. Can step forward from his latest effort to return to winning ways. Ex-Irish 7yo; eyecatching third to Shorts On in C&D contest on debut for new stable. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (7/1 -40%) Lord Cherry |
7/1(-40%) | (6) Lord Cherry 7/1, Won a pair of minor events at Southwell (both at 7f) this year. Back in handicap company, continued in good heart when fifth of 12 at the same C&D (11/4) 88 days ago. Can make his presence felt. Both wins in 7f AW classified events at Southwell; others are preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (5.5/1 +15%) Areille |
5.5/1(+15%) | (4) Areille 5.5/1, Having dropped to a career-low mark, ran well on form when third of 9 in handicap at this course (6f, good to firm, 8/1) 22 days ago, though looked awkward. Capable of getting involved if on a going day. 0-7 for current yard but ran encouragingly over 6f here last month; back up in trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (8) (4/1 +43%) More Than A Grey |
4/1(+43%) | (8) More Than A Grey 4/1, Blinkered for 1st time, again raced freely when fifth of 12 in handicap (6/1) at Chelmsford City (7f) 28 days ago. Capable of geting involved if settling better with a hood now applied and good-value claimer on board. May settle better and show improvement with hood now fitted; one to consider. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (9) (10/1 -11%) Brazen Arrow |
10/1(-11%) | (9) Brazen Arrow 10/1, One win from 35 Flat runs. Returned to form when 1¼ lengths second of 6 to Shorts On in handicap (9/1) at this C&D (good to firm) 21 days ago. May just remain vulnerable for win purposes, though. Solid second, splitting Shorts On and The Cola Brasil, in C&D event three weeks ago. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (12/1 -200%) Shorts On |
12/1(-200%) | (7) Shorts On 12/1, Bounced back to form when making all in 6-runner handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 22/1) 21 days ago by 1¼ lengths from Brazen Arrow. Task is now to back up his latest effort. Made all in similar event over C&D three weeks ago; still well treated on peak form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) (4/1 +20%) Apex |
4/1(+20%) | (5) Apex 4/1, Back up in trip, failed to build on his previous effort when fourth of 5 in handicap at Bath (1m, firm, 6/1) 19 days ago. Needs to find more as he returns to this shorter distance. Seven-race maiden; best RPRs at 7f; drop back to this trip looks a plus. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (10) (14/1 +72%) Sovereignty |
14/1(+72%) | (10) Sovereignty 14/1, Long-standing maiden. In first-time visor, raced freely when ninth of 14 in handicap (50/1) at Leopardstown (9f, good) 21 days ago. Back down in trip on first run for yard after leaving J. J. Lambe. Thoroughly exposed maiden in Ireland; debut for new yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (11) (125/1 +0%) Beloved Of All |
125/1(+0%) | (11) Beloved Of All 125/1, Remains a maiden after 19 Flat runs. After 5 months off, again well held when eleventh of 12 in minor event at this course (6f, good to firm, 125/1) 21 days ago. First-time tongue strap not enough to tempt. Still a maiden and it's a good while since he showed worthwhile form. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Shorts On is taken to confirm the form of his recent course success with Brazen Arrow (second), but THE COLA BRASIL (third) has a live chance of beating the pair of them given he is 4lb better off with the winner and meets the runner-up on 1lb better terms as well. The selection caught the eye with a strong finish that day and he is taken to go well on just his second start for Henry Spiller now under a 7lb claimer.
THE COLA BRASIL ran creditably on his stable debut when third at this C&D 3 weeks ago, so he is taken to build on his latest effort and record a first win of the year. Lord Cherry has been in good form on the all-weather and, having finished runner-up here last year, can go well again back on turf, while More Than A Grey could fare better with a hood now applied.
A chance is taken on MORE THAN A GREY, who could prove well treated if he settles better in the hood. Apex is second choice.

1st (7) (2/1 +78%) Enchanted Night |
2/1(+78%) | (7) Enchanted Night 2/1, Unreliable type. Respectable third of 8 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, good, 9/1) 7 days ago, running on. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals. Holds each-way hopes but it's hard to bank on her winning (now 0-31). |

2nd (2) (12/1 -9%) Selina's Star |
12/1(-9%) | (2) Selina's Star 12/1, Last of 9 in handicap at Kempton (6f, 15/2). Off 118 days. Improvement required. Six-race maiden who has shown signs (on AW) that she's up to winning an ordinary race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (20/1 +0%) Universal Grace |
20/1(+0%) | (6) Universal Grace 20/1, 14/1, last of 8 in handicap at this course (6f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Work to do. Hopes of improvement are largely pinned on first-time headgear. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (2.5/1 +29%) Jacquelina |
2.5/1(+29%) | (3) Jacquelina 2.5/1, Winner at Chepstow (5.1f) last month and posted solid efforts in defeat at same course on next 2 starts. Not in same form latest but must enter calcuations. Consistent since handicapping; not disgraced in higher grade here most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (5) (14/1 -87%) Suanni |
14/1(-87%) | (5) Suanni 14/1, Good third of 6 in handicap (15/2) at Lingfield (5f, AW) 14 days ago. Others look better treated, though. Clear signs of a return to form in AW contest two weeks ago; remains on a handy mark. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) (10/1 -122%) Harry With Style |
10/1(-122%) | (1) Harry With Style 10/1, Career best when winning 17-runner handicap (28/1) at Bath (5.7f, soft) in April, staying on well. Raised 10 lb for that but he's unexposed on turf. Suited by the return to turf at Bath when last seen and remains unexposed in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (9/1 +25%) Proclivity |
9/1(+25%) | (4) Proclivity 9/1, One win from 21 Flat runs. Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Below form sixth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f, 28/1) 17 days ago. Needs a couple of these to falter. Won novice event at Redcar on last turf appearance; interesting back in this sphere. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (5.5/1 -175%) Kodi Dancer |
5.5/1(-175%) | (8) Kodi Dancer 5.5/1, Posted best effort for some time when narrow second of 7 in minor event (4/1) at Ffos Las (5f, good to firm) 11 days ago, staying on well. Looks nicely treated, back in handicap company, and is one for the shortlist. Unlucky in Ffos Las classified event last time; good chance off bottom weight. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
HARRY WITH STYLE appeared to relish the return to sprinting when winning a competitive Bath event in good style three months ago. Raised 10lb for that success, John Ryan employs the services of capable apprentice Adam Treacy, so he might be capable of following up after a short break. Only narrowly denied in a classified event last month, Kodi Dancer should be thereabouts along with Suanni.
This can go to KODI DANCER, who looked an unlucky loser (met some trouble) at Ffos Las last time and figures off a handy mark. Jacquelina and Harry With Style can also make their presence felt.
Off a workable mark KODI DANCER (nap) gets the vote back at handicap level. Harry With Style is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
