1st (4) (3/1 +14%) Lady Adare |
3/1(+14%) | (4) Lady Adare 3/1, Won first 3 starts over hurdles and following a third wind operation, returned to form after 4 months off when a close third at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good) in August. Attentions now turned to chasing and with her yard successful in this last year, she merits plenty of respect. Three wind ops, the latest before a creditable hurdles run in August; chance on best form. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (11/4 -150%) Glimpse Of Gala |
11/4(-150%) | (3) Glimpse Of Gala 11/4, Likeable mare who scored at Kempton (24.5f) last Christmas and again proved tenacious when following up at Warwick (25f) in January. Not at her best in the Pertemps but wasted no time getting back on track when sixth at Aintree (24.7f, good) 6 months ago. Likely sort sent chasing. One of the top two on hurdles form but she came to the fore over about 3m last term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (6/1 +8%) Galice Macalo |
6/1(+8%) | (2) Galice Macalo 6/1, Fairly useful hurdler who was back to her best when impressively winning 10-runner handicap at Chepstow (2m) in January. Failed to reach that level in 4 subsequent outings and makes her reappearance over the larger obstacles (had a wind op in the interim). Wind op in August; has some of the better form but also a fair bit to prove back chasing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (16/1 +11%) Inspiratrice |
16/1(+11%) | (7) Inspiratrice 16/1, Caused a huge shock (200/1) when landing a Taunton juvenile event at the end of December and similar form in defeat when third at Taunton in February. Well out of her depth in Dawn Run at Cheltenham (16.8f, soft) when last seen 7 months ago and makes chase debut. 1-6 over hurdles; needs to show something very new if she's to upset all of these rivals. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (28/1 +30%) Cotton End |
28/1(+30%) | (1) Cotton End 28/1, Losing run is mounting up but ran creditably by recent standards when third over C&D (good to soft) just over 6 weeks ago. Remains easy enough to oppose for win purposes with hopes pinned on a first-time tongue tie doing the trick. Not the force of old and 0-9 over fences; surely vulnerable; tongue tied first time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (150/1 -88%) Prussia With Love |
150/1(-88%) | (5) Prussia With Love 150/1, Fair 19f hurdles winner at her best for Dan Skelton but has clearly been tricky to train since and showed little after yet another stable switch here and at Southwell in recent months. This is just her second attempt over fences but it's easy to look elsewhere. Lightly raced these days and out of sorts for three different yards in her last six runs. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (6) (15/8 +46%) Space Voyage |
15/8(+46%) | (6) Space Voyage 15/8, Bumper winner who took very well to hurdling, completing a hat-trick of small-field novice events at Ludlow (21.2f, good to soft) when last seen in April. Surprisingly kept to this sort of trip for her chasing debut but fancied to be firmly in the shake-up. Found some improvement to win three novice hurdles; good shout if she finds any more. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
GLIMPSE OF GALA was the best hurdler in this field and she should take all of the beating now tackling fences. Charlie Longdon's charge is clear of these on official ratings and she can get her head in front at the first time of asking over the larger obstacles. Space Voyage had a good summer over hurdles and she rates as the biggest danger to the selection, while Lady Adare can pick up the pieces should the aforementioned pair not fire.
This looks likely to go to a chasing debutante and GLIMPSE OF GALA is selected to come out on top before the benefit of market clues. The main danger may emerge from Lady Adare, who returned to form following a third breathing operation when a close third at Newton Abbot in August and could take a step forward now chasing, with Space Voyage and Galice Macalo another couple fancied to be in the shake-up.
Glimpse Of Gala (second choice), Space Voyage and Galice Macalo make some appeal, as does LADY ADARE on her better efforts.

Galop Du Bosc |
(3) (8/1 -14%)8/1(-14%) | (3) Galop Du Bosc 8/1, Lost his form towards the end of last season but has won fresh before and handicapper has given him a chance, so he's not one to write off for a stable that had first winner in a while recently.
1st (12) (11/1 +21%) Meechlands Magic |
11/1(+21%) | (12) Meechlands Magic 11/1, Poor maiden hurdler who never figured at Uttoxeter last time and is quite a long way out of the weights. Easily opposed.
2nd (1) (8/1 -33%) Bolintlea |
8/1(-33%) | (1) Bolintlea 8/1, Took well to fences and easily landed 7-runner handicap chase at Fakenham in January. Possibly amiss at Ffos Las on next outing but could bounce back after 8 months off.
3rd (5) (13/2 +19%) Faitque De L'Isle |
13/2(+19%) | (5) Faitque De L'Isle 13/2, Well handicapped on old form and stopped the slide to some extent when third of 4 in handicap at Newton Abbot 20 days ago. Claims if he can build on that.
4th (2) (9/2 -13%) Prince De Juilley |
9/2(-13%) | (2) Prince De Juilley 9/2, Irish point winner who fared a bit better than previously when third in a handicap hurdle at Ludlow 5 months ago. Could up his game now attentions are turned to chasing.
5th (10) (25/1 +0%) Newtonian |
25/1(+0%) | (10) Newtonian 25/1, Has been showing little recently and is likely to struggle again from out of the weights.
6th (8) (10/3 +67%) Methusalar |
10/3(+67%) | (8) Methusalar 10/3, Hurdles winner for Alan King (at 19.5f) in spring 2022. Proved disappointing both starts upon returning to action earlier this term and shaped as if needing the run on chasing/stable debut at this course last month. Goes up in trip.
|PU| (7) (4/1 +38%) Thistlebuffs |
4/1(+38%) | (7) Thistlebuffs 4/1, Some potential over hurdles but disappointing chasing debut at Perth on final outing for Lucinda Russell. Worth a market check on first start for new stable.
|PU| (9) (11/2 +21%) Kapitaliste |
11/2(+21%) | (9) Kapitaliste 11/2, Modest handicap hurdler who wasn't disgraced when third at Newton Abbot last time. Unexposed as a chaser and can't be ruled out.
|PU| (6) (11/1 +21%) Freethinker |
11/1(+21%) | (6) Freethinker 11/1, Won a couple of times in spring 2022 but only seen out twice since and pulled up on each occasion. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
A chance is taken on BOLINTLEA, who won easily over 3m at Fakenham on her penultimate start and, if she bounces back to form following a disappointing Ffos Las effort, this prize appears within her reach. Prince De Juilley is feared most after running into a modest third over hurdles at Ludlow, with the second subsequently franking that form, while Faitque De L'Isle could also have a say.
PRINCE DE JUILLEY only achieved modest form over hurdles but, as an ex-pointer, he's the type to do better in this sphere, so he gets the nod over Bolintlea, who could get back on the up after 8 months off. Kapitaliste is also considered.
It was a fair stable/chasing debut by METHUSALAR here last time, and this longer trip will suit. Faitque De L'Isle is next best.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (5/2 -25%) Rickety Bridge |
5/2(-25%) | (7) Rickety Bridge 5/2, Half-brother to fair French hurdler/chaser Raffles Capital (17f/2¼m winner). Dam, maiden over hurdles/fences in France, half-sister to multiple Stayers' Hurdle winner Big Buck's and smart French hurdler (2¼m winner) Buck's Boum. Very easy winner sole start in points in March and joined top yard. Favourite in point in March and won easily by 8l; top yard's first bumper runner this term. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Off the mark in Irish points at the third attempt. Ran in Irish points in the spring, winning on third occasion and sold for £70,000 in May. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (18/1 +36%) Spice Boy |
18/1(+36%) | (8) Spice Boy 18/1, Offered plenty to work on under a considerate ride when seventh of 13 in bumper at Exeter (16.7f, good to soft, 16/1) on debut 174 days ago, finishing with running left. Should have more to offer. Sister Spice Girl won 3 bumpers; failed to figure at Exeter in April but showed promise. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (22/1 -10%) Nowmelad |
22/1(-10%) | (6) Nowmelad 22/1, €3,000 3-y-o, £22,000 4-y-o, Mahler gelding. Dam, pulled up all 3 starts in points, closely related to useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 3m) Mad Brian. Runner-up sole start in Irish points during the spring and joined good yard. 2nd in an Irish point in April and bought for £24,000 in May; stable (runs two) sponsors. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) (14/1 -133%) Huckleberry Sting |
14/1(-133%) | (5) Huckleberry Sting 14/1, Scorpion gelding. Closely related to fair hurdler If Karl's Berg Did, and half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Merry Berry. Trainer’s newcomers command utmost respect. Closely related to 2m4f/2m7f hurdle winner If Karl's Berg Did; from a top yard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (5/1 +41%) West Warhorse |
5/1(+41%) | (1) West Warhorse 5/1, Brother to useful hurdler/very smart chaser Western Warhorse. Dam, poor form in bumpers. Showed a bit more than on debut when sixth at Wetherby in February and returns with yard firmly among the winners. Hood left off. Got the message late on last time but will still probably prove vulnerable today. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (9) (28/1 +15%) The Dark Edge |
28/1(+15%) | (9) The Dark Edge 28/1, €42,000 3-y-o, Sholokhov gelding. Closely related to 2 winners, including point/bumper winner Milans Edge, and half-brother to bumper winner Bombay Sapphire. Makes plenty of appeal on paper. 42,000euros 3yo; dam's two bumper winners include a close relation to this 4yo. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (3) (33/1 -340%) Wonder King |
33/1(-340%) | (3) Wonder King 33/1, £10,000 3-y-o, Creachadoir gelding. Half-brother to 2 winners on Flat, including 8.5f winner Warsime. Dam 1¼m-1½m winner. £10,000 3yo; sixth foal; half-brother to two French Flat winners; dam 9.5f-11.5f winner. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
RICKETY BRIDGE was a facile winner on her only point-to-point start and this looks the perfect chance to get her head in front at the first time of asking under Rules. The four-year-old looks a good recruit for Paul Nicholls and he can win this before going on to bigger and better things. Newcomer Huckleberry Sting is interesting for the powerful Dan Skelton team, while Wet The Shamrock completes the shortlist.
The market will be informative here with several point recruits to consider but RICKETY BRIDGE has transferred to Paul Nicholls following an easy win between the flags so he's awarded the vote. Huckleberry Sting is another very likely type on paper, with West Warhouse just about the pick of those with previous form.
The newcomers to racing under rules look an interesting bunch and RICKETY BRIDGE is preferred to Wet The Shamrock.

1st (8) (7/2 +13%) Steal My Sunshine |
7/2(+13%) | (8) Steal My Sunshine 7/2, Improved in first-time cheekpieces to land 11-runner handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (19.9f, good to soft) 145 days ago. That form is proving strong so he's not taken lightly despite an 8 lb hike in the weights. Uttoxeter winner in debuted cheekpieces in May (2m4f, good); could race more generously. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (3) (5/1 -25%) Elogio |
5/1(-25%) | (3) Elogio 5/1, Debut bumper winner. Second on all his three runs over hurdles, latest at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) 7 months ago. Up in trip with cheekpieces on 1st time for his handicap debut. Interesting. Better likely if cheekpieces can sort out his crooked jumping; 2m4f asks a new question. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (13/2 +46%) Rare Clouds |
13/2(+46%) | (5) Rare Clouds 13/2, Off 11 months before recording a good second of 10 in handicap hurdle over C&D 44 days ago. In the mix despite taking a 3 lb rise. Back up the weights following C&D second on August's seasonal return (good to soft). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (7) (15/2 -125%) Gieves |
15/2(-125%) | (7) Gieves 15/2, 9/1 and hooded for 1st time, career best when winning 2m novice hurdle here 24 days ago, always travelling strongly. Weighted to go well back in handicap company. Ran away with 2m maiden hurdle here latest (good); chance if hood works as well once more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (3/1 +14%) Best Mate Dave |
3/1(+14%) | (9) Best Mate Dave 3/1, C&D winner in June who backed it up with an excellent second of 9 in handicap hurdle here (23f, good to soft) 44 days ago, clear of rest. Winner has gone in again so he's a player. C&D win and 2m7f near-miss here most recently; up 4lb more but still on the upgrade. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (9/1 +0%) Gavin |
9/1(+0%) | (6) Gavin 9/1, Completed a hat-trick at Ffos Las in June. Posted another solid effort when second of 6 in handicap hurdle at Stratford (16.3f, good) 33 days ago so he's firmly in the picture now up in trip. No match for thriving Max Of Stars latest; could do with more than just this 1lb drop. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (50/1 -79%) Dave And Bernie |
50/1(-79%) | (1) Dave And Bernie 50/1, Fair 2m1f winner at his best but returns after over 2 years off here on the back of a wind op. Others are preferred on this occasion. Given big chance by the handicapper, but this first run since June 2021 may be needed. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (10) (33/1 +50%) Versatility |
33/1(+50%) | (10) Versatility 33/1, Temperamental sort who has had breathing surgery since coming in a below form eighth of 14 in handicap chase at Chepstow (26.2f, good) 167 days ago. Thirteen runs since last win in 2020. Still well below par when last seen in the spring; returns from another wind operation. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (4) (14/1 +58%) Highlander Casseul |
14/1(+58%) | (4) Highlander Casseul 14/1, Fair ex-Irish maiden hurdler. Below par fourth of 10 in handicap hurdle over C&D in May. Hooded for 1st time with more needed after a break. 31l fourth in another C&D 0-110 back in May (good; stable debut); hood now added. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (2) (12/1 +14%) Bertie B |
12/1(+14%) | (2) Bertie B 12/1, Debut bumper winner who posted a good third of 11 in handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (20.7f, good to soft). Off 7 months since but not discounted. Close third on handicap debut in February (2m5f, good); yard's first runner since May. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
BEST MATE DAVE got off the mark over C&D two starts ago and he may have found 2m7f a bit too far when caught late on his most recent outing. Back down in trip, the six-year-old could be hard to stop off what is clearly a workable mark. Steal My Sunshine won well when last seen at Uttoxeter in May and has to be respected on his return, while Rare Clouds is also noted.
A case can be made for a few of these but C&D winner BEST MATE DAVE arrives on an upward curve and is taken to emerge on top from handily-weighted course scorer Gieves. Steal My Sunshine and Elogio both have plenty to recommend them too so need considering in a competitive event.
Proven over C&D and beyond of late, BEST MATE DAVE may prove safer than Elogio. Course 2m maiden scorer Gieves is feared most.

1st (3) (11/4 +21%) Ikarak |
11/4(+21%) | (3) Ikarak 11/4, Fairly useful form in France (winning chaser) but jumped erratically when failing to beat his sole rival in a handicap at Fontwell on British/stable debut in April. However, twice runner-up in this sphere since, including with first-time cheekpieces added here last month, and he's a major player. Dual chase winner in France; 2nd all three British starts, including to Doughmore Bay here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (11/8 +15%) Doughmore Bay |
11/8(+15%) | (1) Doughmore Bay 11/8, Every chance when departing at the final fence on sole start in Irish points and made a winning start under Rules in a 2½m novice here in May, proving 2 lengths too strong for the re-opposing Ikarak. More will be needed under a penalty but he's completely unexposed. £90,000 buy before well-backed winner of novice here (2m4f, good) in May by 2l from Ikarak. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (12/1 -118%) Kick Up A Storm |
12/1(-118%) | (5) Kick Up A Storm 12/1, Cost £78,000 as a 3-y-o and he's a half-brother to 17f bumper winner Erins Benefit. Failed to measure up to market expectations on debut in a Wincanton bumper last November but surely capable of better for top yard now switched to hurdles. Has undergone a wind op. 7-4 favourite and tongue tied, tailed off in Wincanton bumper last November; had wind op. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (28/1 -273%) Diesel D'allier |
28/1(-273%) | (2) Diesel D'allier 28/1, Useful chaser on the cross-country circuit but well below his best in 2 appearances last term and it's hard to know what to expect of him back hurdling following a 7-month absence. Useful over the Cheltenham cross-country course but did not show it last season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (6) (7/2 +53%) Mullys Choice |
7/2(+53%) | (6) Mullys Choice 7/2, Appealing jumps pedigree and picked up for £60,000 after finishing second in a maiden point last November. Joined good yard and interesting to see what the market has to say. 2nd in Irish point last November and form has been boosted; bought for £60,000 in December. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|U| (4) (10/1 +38%) Isle Of Gold |
10/1(+38%) | (4) Isle Of Gold 10/1, Runner-up sole start between the flags and bettered his low-key Rules debut when fourth of 9 in a Chepstow maiden upped to 23.6f in March. Best days are surely ahead of him but will probably find one or two too good here all the same. Probably needs further improvement after Chepstow 4th (3m, soft) but should have potential. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (7) (28/1 -75%) Outside Adesa |
28/1(-75%) | (7) Outside Adesa 28/1, Half-brother to useful hunter chaser Law of Gold and out of a 2¼m hurdle winner. Found just one too good on each of his 2 appearances between the flags earlier this year and one to note in the betting on Rules debut. Second in two Irish points before sold for £20,000 in April. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
DOUGHMORE BAY readily accounted for Ikarak (second) when making a winning Rules debut over 2m4f here in May and the unexposed son of Milan can confirm that form on his way to another victory. The aforementioned Ikarak was subsequently second in a valuable handicap at this venue and is likely to be in the mix once again. Others to note are Mullys Choice and Isle Of Gold.
DOUGHMORE BAY got the better of Ikarak when they met here in May and, with this stiffer test likely to prompt improvement, Emma Lavelle's charge is taken to uphold that form. Ikarak has the advantage of a recent run under his belt and won't go down without a fight, while Mullys Choice and Outside Adesa, both of whom showed ability between the flags, need a close look in the betting. Kick Up A Storm is surely capable of better than he showed in a bumper last year and is not discounted.
An interesting field may be headed by DOUGHMORE BAY who beat the far more experienced Ikarak over 2m4f here in May.

1st (3) (0.83/1 +45%) Kamsinas |
0.83/1(+45%) | (3) Kamsinas 0.83/1, Successful sole outing in Irish points and quickly over bumper debut mishap when off the mark at Kelso (16.2f) in February. Creditable third under a penalty at Huntingdon (15.8f) when last seen in April and one of the likelier types now sights are set on hurdling. Pick of these in bumpers and out of a successful 2m hurdler to boot; considerable appeal. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (16/1 -60%) R S Ambush |
16/1(-60%) | (7) R S Ambush 16/1, Fell sole start in points but offered something to work on in a couple of spins in maiden hurdles in Ireland this summer. Type new yard do well with but handicaps could be more his bag. First hurdling effort sets a beatable form standard here; has left Harry Kelly since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (5) (7.5/1 +38%) Speaker Thomas |
7.5/1(+38%) | (5) Speaker Thomas 7.5/1, Point winner who didn't offer much under Rules for John Joseph Hanlon, pulled up in hunter chase event at Punchestown in April. Had wind op ahead of this yard/hurdling debut but he's likely best watched. Tongue strap on 1st time. Irish point winner in April (3m, good); can front run, but can also make mistakes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (16/1 -100%) Kooky |
16/1(-100%) | (6) Kooky 16/1, Encouraging start when third in a Huntingdon bumper (15.8f) in January and shaped like a stayer when filling same spot on hurdles debut at Chepstow in April, staying on again from 2 out. Open to improvement but 2½m may well suit ideally moving forward. Overcame novicey jumping for a rallying third on hurdling debut; may need further. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (10/1 +38%) I Got Stung |
10/1(+38%) | (2) I Got Stung 10/1, Modest form in a bumper and novice hurdle this spring, finding things happening too quickly kept to 2m when fifth of 9 in a Ffos Las novice in April. Yard know this family well but he's a likely type for later on/longer trips. Can leave hurdling debut behind if less green now, but more required as it stands. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (3/1 -71%) Divilskin |
3/1(-71%) | (1) Divilskin 3/1, €245,000 purchase following success only start in points. Modest form at best in a couple of bumper outings last season but he's in excellent hands and could well prove a different proposition now sights are set on hurdles. Weakened on both bumper starts either side of wind surgery, but may still come good. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.
A comfortable winner of a point-to-point in March, NEW ORDER is an intriguing option given he swapped hands for 95,000 pounds at Tattersalls Cheltenham sales the following month. A full-brother to smart hurdler/chaser The Goffer, this son of Yeats heads the shortlist starting out under Rules in this company. Kamsinas won a Kelso bumper on his penultimate start and should also give a good account, while R S Ambush is noted too.
The betting should prove useful in assessing the chances of a few, but KAMSINAS boasted a positive profile in bumpers and could be the way to go now hurdling. Fellow hurdling debutant Divilskin is another to consider given his connections, whilst Charlie Longsdon's New Order is another to note.
Bumper winner KAMSINAS appeals most as having something to offer as a hurdler over this short a trip.

1st (10) (15/8 +25%) Aviewofthestars |
15/8(+25%) | (10) Aviewofthestars 15/8, Promising individual who showed much-improved form when winning 12-runner handicap hurdle at Plumpton (20.5f, good) on debut for Fergal O'Brien 18 days ago. 5 lb rise fair and may have more to offer yet. Made a smooth winning start for new connections at Plumpton (2m4f, good) 18 days ago. |

2nd (4) (10/3 +52%) Lady Gwen |
10/3(+52%) | (4) Lady Gwen 10/3, Improved to make a winning reappearance for her new yard at Stratford (18.5f) in July and shaped better than distance beaten when fifth at same course (16.3f) the following month. Had a wind operation since and not ruled out. Won yard debut at Stratford in July; flopped one month later and was given wind surgery. |

4th (3) (7/1 +56%) East End Girl |
7/1(+56%) | (3) East End Girl 7/1, Won on level and over hurdles for Lucy Wadham but below par on debut for new yard at Chester last month. Fairly treated if back to form returned to this discipline, though. Didn't progress as hurdler last term (won in November) and perhaps best watched this time. |

5th (11) (20/1 +20%) Passing Kate |
20/1(+20%) | (11) Passing Kate 20/1, No real impact in 4 starts over hurdles for Grace Harris last term but has been given a chance by the handicapper and is worth monitoring in the market on debut for new yard here. Left Grace Harris; no solid claims, so best watched unless there's been a big move for her. |

6th (5) (33/1 -50%) La Breille |
33/1(-50%) | (5) La Breille 33/1, Didn't need to improve to get off the mark at Fakenham (16f) in October but subsequent efforts in handicap company left much to be desired. Something to prove on return. Won juvenile hurdle at Fakenham (2m, good) last October but three heavy defeats since. |

7th (7) (40/1 -21%) Petite Souris |
40/1(-21%) | (7) Petite Souris 40/1, Shaped better than first time up over hurdles when fourth at Market Rasen (16.6f) in March but folded tamely at Hexham the following month and needs to find improvement on handicap debut/return. There has been a whiff of ability twice, alongside two heavy defeats; handicap debut. |

8th (9) (15/2 +6%) Sawpit Sienna |
15/2(+6%) | (9) Sawpit Sienna 15/2, Successful twice during the first half of last season and largely acquitted herself well off higher marks thereafter. Has won after a break before and returns on a workable mark. 3-22 over hurdles, latest win at Taunton (2m, soft; off 3lb lower) in January. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (12) (12/1 +64%) Dancing Dani |
12/1(+64%) | (12) Dancing Dani 12/1, Yet to score under Rules and recent efforts in this sphere make her hard to fancy. 1 lb out of the handicap. Has gone the wrong way under rules; way down the weights but others have to be preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (1) (12/1 -33%) Karannelle |
12/1(-33%) | (1) Karannelle 12/1, Twelve runs since last win in 2022 but she did run her best race of the current campaign when narrowly denied by Saddlers Quest at Newton Abbot (16.8f) last month. Respected with Sean Bowen booked. Quite tricky to win with but pretty consistent; beaten a neck by Saddlers Quest last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|DQ| (6) (8/1 -23%) Saddlers Quest |
8/1(-23%) | (6) Saddlers Quest 8/1, Arrives at the top of her game after completing the hat-trick at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good to soft) 31 days ago by neck from Karannelle. 5 lb higher now but another bold bid is likely. 9yo who's never been better, winning last three starts, latest despite trouble in running. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
IMPERIAL JADE impressed when making all at Chepstow when last seen and can make further progress now she tackles handicap company. Lillie Pinchin has already built up a good rapport with the Charlie Longsdon-trained filly and an opening mark of 99 looks fair. Karannelle has more experience at this sort of level and is feared most, while Saddlers Quest also commands respect.
AVIEWOFTHESTARS upped her game significantly when making a winning debut for new connections at Plumpton last month and remains with potential. She can follow up in the finale. Saddlers Quest and Karannelle rate the principal dangers.
Calculations are dominated by AVIEWOFTHESTARS (nap), Saddlers Quest and Imperial Jade, who are preferred in that order.
Ths is the racecard key.
