14:00 Worcester Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MOODOFTHEMOMENT improved from his return to fences when beaten a neck over C&D earlier in the month and the seven-year-old is capable of handling a 5lb rise in his bid to go one better. Mary went close on her trip across the Irish Sea at Downpatrick last week and she commands respect on her chasing bow. Others to consider are Delpotro and Tonto Foley.

Plenty with chances but at the likely odds it is worth siding with Charlie Longsdon's new recruit DELPOTRO, who was twice a winner in France in the summer and starts here on a handy-looking mark. Dan Skelton's Omaha Wish looks to have more to offer now reverted to fences and rates the main danger, with Mutual Respect, Redbridge Rambler and Lermoos Legend also in the picture.

Top of the list is four-time point winner MOODOFTHEMOMENT (nap), who ran well in defeat on his first two starts for Matt Sheppard.

14:35 Worcester Maiden Chase (Class 3) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

HOMETOWN BOY gained his first success over the larger obstacles here in June with an authoritative display. The nine-year-old jumped well on the whole and he can put that experience to best use. Coco Mademoiselle was a useful hurdler last season and she may prove to be the main threat on her first attempt over fences, while a change of scenery may have benefited Weveallbeencaught.

HOMETOWN BOY jumped accurately when recording a fluent success in a C&D handicap three months ago and, if he can reproduce that, he should have enough to follow up. An Tailliur can make his presence felt if learning from his chasing debut and Coco Mademoiselle is an interesting chasing debutant.

The most obvious answer is HOMETOWN BOY, who dominated a C&D handicap on his latest outing three months ago.

15:10 Worcester Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

POTTERS CHARM showed he has a big engine when landing a Ffos Las bumper at the end of March and the five-year-old is expected to make a winning start to life over hurdles, especially with a step up in distance in his favour. Micronormous shaped as though dropping back in trip would play to her strengths when travelling well here over 2m7f last time. Typhoon Flyer, Chancycourt and Zmiinyi are others for the shortlist.

POTTERS CHARM barely had to come off the bridle and looked a very good prospect when making a winning bumper debut at Ffos Las 6 months ago. He's very much of interest now hurdling with his yard in excellent form. Fellow hurdles debutant Gwennie May Star, Typhoon Flyer and Micronormous can emerge as the chief threats.

Impressive Ffos Las bumper winner POTTERS CHARM should find trip and track to suit. Micronormous is next most fancied.

This stiffer test may help and he's a key player.

15:45 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SEEYOUINMYDREAMS has proved a different proposition since undergoing a wind procedure in November, with dominant displays at Fakenham and at this venue since. Paul Nicholls' mare makes her handicap debut off what looks a lenient mark and she may land the spoils in a competitive affair. The Willie Mullins-trained Fine Margin is sure to have his supporters in his quest to land a four-timer, while Mostly Sunny is a potential improver up in distance.

This looks competitive with several progressive types on show. FLYING FORTUNE has looked good at Market Rasen and this course the last twice, and she could be the answer with further progress likely. Ebony Warrior is taken to reverse last month's C&D placings with the selection's stablemate Letterston Lily and emerge as the main danger, while Mostly Sunny should go well now upped in trip and Bob Bob Ricard, who was left with too much to do when second to Fine Margin here, are others to consider.

Emmet Mullins' BACKMERSACKME held his own in a Grade 1 on his hurdling debut and is selected ahead of Fine Margin.

16:20 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A rise in distance inspired a career-best performance from EARTH CRY over an extended 2m5f at Fontwell and this extra yardage could improve him even further. Although an 8lb rise in the ratings demands more from the six-year-old, a fourth victory since June could be on the cards. The biggest threat may emerge from Tiger Jet, who made a successful stable debut at Cartmel last month. Fame And Fun is also worth a second look now reverting to hurdles.

The obvious one here is the progressive EARTH CRY who is taken to defy the handicapper again with the Neil Mulholland stable continuing in good form. Made For You has had a solid spell on the Flat and over hurdles this summer and is second choice ahead of Cartmel-scorer Tiger Jet.

Edging down the weights and hinting at the need for a stayers' trip last time, LUTINEBELLA gets the nod over Made For You.

(9) Uncle Arthur 40/1, Opened his hurdles account for Fergal O'Brien in December but largely struggled for James Owen. Set stiff task and never figured for new yard over fences at Stratford (17f) in July and he's likely best watched from out of weights/returned to hurdles. Had wind surgery.
C&D bumper winner in June 2022 (good) but just 1-19 since; has had wind surgery..

(5) Dunbulcan Bay 5/1, Flemensfirth gelding who makes a quick switch to handicaps following pair of in-the-frame efforts, improving when second of 7 in novice hurdle at Cartmel (22.1f, good to soft) in May. Better to come now handicapping. Back down in trip.
Early days but optimum trip perhaps isn't clear yet; initial mark makes sense, at least..

16:55 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It may be worth chancing DOG FOX has been freshened up by a 64-day layoff. The four-year-old ran out a ready winner on his penultimate start at Bangor and he might be able to put his short-odds defeat when fifth over C&D last time behind him. Handicap debutant Dunbulcan Bay is respected, along with the unexposed Cavern Club, who was useful on the Flat.

DOG FOX was strong in the betting on the back of his Bangor victory and compromised his chance of following up with a bad mistake last when fifth behind re-opposing Byzantine Empire over C&D back in July. He's worth another chance to prove his revised mark is workable. Cavern Club appeals as the type who can make his mark now handicapping in this sphere and is a definite threat. Low-mileage Dunbulcan Bay, on handicap debut for Dan Skelton, is another in the mix.

Settling better again might seal this for CAVERN CLUB on handicap debut, ahead of Dunbulcan Bay. Neither may mind rain.
