16:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having left behind her previous efforts in defeat when justifying favouritism on her nursery bow at Chelmsford recently, MANARA rates as one to keep the right side of. The daughter of Camelot scored with something up her sleeve and she may make light work of a 6lb penalty. Pure Artistry is a potential improver up in distance and she could give the selection most to think about, ahead of the first-time visored Perfect Parole.

It's hard to ignore the allure of MANARA, who won with more in hand than the margin of victory suggest when landing a gamble on her nursery debut at Chelmsford and she should have more to offer. Hock Eye The Noo has yet to trouble the judge but it's still early days and, in good hands, she may well be capable of better than she has shown to date. Sol Argent is most interesting of the remainder.

The way that MANARA won last week, she looks capable of defying a penalty and perhaps going on to better things.

17:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Layla Liz overcame her inexperience when making a winning debut at Leicester last month and she must enter calculations in her bid to complete a double. However, a 7lb penalty could be enough to thwart Archie Watson's filly on her all-weather bow and MAE AMOR shades the verdict. The daughter of Mehmas arrives on the back of a staying-on third over 5f at Southwell and she looks worth another go over today's 6f distance. Be An Angel and Tabby are also noted.

TABBY has been going the right way in her 3 starts to date, only narrowly denied by a fellow improver at Southwell on her latest outing, so she could be ready to get off the mark this time around. She is taken to see off the challenge of Layla Liz, who was able to make a winning debut despite greenness, with Be An Angel also worth another chance.

Tabby holds a leading chance provided her latest effort is backed up but an interesting alternative is BE AN ANGEL.

17:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Fiorella Princess built on her promising second-placed debut at Doncaster when opening her account at Chelmsford last month. Another bold bid looks likely from Amy Murphy's charge, but OASIS SUNRISE makes slightly more appeal in receipt of 7lb. The Bated Breath filly lost all chance after being badly hampered at the Essex venue recently and she could put that eighth-placed mishap behind her judged on previous exploits. Market support for newcomer Miss Cartesian would be interesting.

Only a handful of these make any serious appeal, FIORELLA PRINCESS taken to follow up her recent Chelmsford success under a penalty with further improvement on the cards. Debutante Miss Cartesian heads up the dangers for Ralph Beckett, with Oasis Sunrise, who is easily the most experienced of these, completing the shortlist.

Easily the most appealing contenders are Chelmsford winner FIORELLA PRINCESS and interesting debutante Miss Cartesian.

18:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GOOD BANTER improved from first to second start to score comfortably over C&D last time out, and a 4lb penalty for that success may not be enough to prevent him from going in again. Naana's Sparkle arrives with similar claims after scoring over 6f at Chelmsford and she is likely to have more improvement forthcoming, while Stage Winner looks to be the pick of the newcomers for connections that know how to ready one.

GOOD BANTER won well here 8 weeks ago and looks promising, so he can follow up. The dangers could be the newcomers, Stage Winner and The Quiet Gent a couple of the notable ones.

The form pick is C&D winner GOOD BANTER, while Stage Winner is a particularly interesting type among the newcomers.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 6f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TRUE PROMISE continues to go from strength to strength and going back up to 6f should not inconvenience as he looks to land the hat-trick for his in-form connections. That may be at the main expense of Chief Mankato, who has got the hang of things since joining the Jack Channon stable and went very close on each of his last two starts on the all-weather. Newcastle winner Fiscal Policy and Many A Star are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

A very competitive sprint handicap for the time of year, with the admirable TRUE PROMISE taken to land the hat-trick. Aberama Gold and Many A Star are just a couple of the dangers.

This looks open. The two suggestions against the field are the lightly raced and interesting contenders TAN RAPIDO and Rizg.

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Turned out again quickly after a highly creditable effort when looking to land the double over C&D last Friday in an apprentice handicap, BEAUZON can bounce back to winning ways with jockey Charles Bishop back in the saddle. Runner-up over 5f here last time out, Alafdhal seems the type that may improve for going back up in trip, whereas White Umbrella remains on the same mark as when scoring over C&D in April.

SMASHER thrived here earlier this year and could get back on the up after his Kempton return. Beauzon and Alafdhal are keeping busy and can go well again. Caesars Pearl is another to consider.

The 6yo ALAFDHAL keeps knocking on the door and it might just open this evening now he returns to his most-winning trip.

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

VINCE LOMBARDI was narrowly beaten at Kempton on his debut for Jim Boyle's yard. He can regain the winning thread off his current mark on that evidence with Rossa Ryan taking over the reins. Bluelight Bay has a bit to find to find with the selection on latest running, but can still have a say in proceedings, while Cancan In The Rain also commands respect in this grade and is preferred to Vibrato.

BLUELIGHT BAY returned to form when third at Kempton last time, finishing well having been caught further back than ideal, and he can resume winning ways if stall 12 doesn't prove too troublesome. Vince Lombardi made an encouraging start for his new yard in the same race, finishing a place in front of the poorly-positioned selection, and he can figure if building on that. State Flag is another to note.

Off a workable mark and with Rossa Ryan booked, VINCE LOMBARDI is taken to record a first AW win. Bluelight Bay is second pick.

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SIMIYANN found life tough in a competitive contest at Kempton last time, but this lower grade is more his level. A dual winner at this venue, Ian Williams' charge returned an easy winner when last successful and may prove hard to beat. The bumper winner Little Peter opened his account in this code when scoring at Newcastle and another good account looks assured, while Caustic is worth a second glance stepping up in trip after placing at Southwell.

CAUSTIC was comprehensively outpointed by the winner when second at Southwell last month but he is well worth a try over this trip. Owen Burrows' charge earns preference ahead of Little Peter and Alrazeen.

Back at this course, SIMIYANN (nap) is taken to defy a career-high mark. Little Peter is second choice.

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KHANGAI broke his duck on the all-weather when successful over today's distance at Southwell. He can effectively race off a lower mark with an apprentice's 7lb allowance taken into account and can go in again with James Owen's yard in fine form. Ocean Ridge has been hurdling since landing a classified race here back in March and can have a say in proceedings, while the recent Newcastle winner Keen Interest makes more appeal than Zooks.

KHANGAI resumed winning ways at the second time of asking for this yard when landing a 16-runner Southwell handicap last month. He is taken to follow up here, perhaps at the chief expense of Ocean Ridge, who put in a good shift when third over hurdles at Newton Abbot last time and he was a C&D winner on his latest start in this sphere. Harlington is third on the list, with Keen Interest best of the rest.

The returning OCEAN RIDGE has gone well when fresh in the past and he could be worth chancing.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
