16:15 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The application of a hood seemed to work the oracle for STARTLING last time, as she won a shade cosily over this course and distance on her nursery debut. This doesn't look a strong handicap and the daughter of Zoustar is taken to go in again despite a 5lb rise. Pure Liberty finished third behind the selection and can have a say in proceedings once more, while it would be no surprise to see better efforts from both Dubai Magic and Lady Lovebug now handicapping.

STARTLING proved a different proposition when making a winning nursery debut over C&D 9 days ago and, appealing as the type who can go on improving, all looks set fair for another bold showing from David O'Meara's filly. Nursery-debutante Dubai Magic and Pure Liberty are others to consider, whilst Bank On Kent isn't entirely dismissed despite being drawn widest of all.

Recent C&D scorer STARTLING is open to further improvement at this level and gets the vote ahead of Dubai Magic.

16:50 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS is edging closer to opening his account, having gone agonisingly close when beaten only a neck at Bath, and he gets another chance now debuting on the all-weather. Glowchester is steadily improving and returns to the minimum trip after going close on soft ground over 6f at Catterick, while Mockirr failed to make an impact over 6f at Southwell on his debut, but should settle better today and the application of a tongue-tie may bring about some improvement.

ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS showed bags of speed and produced his best effort yet when run down late at Bath (5f) 2 weeks ago and a repeat may well be enough to see him get off the mark here. Mockirr is likely to build on his debut effort at Southwell and is feared along with Glowchester, who is steadily going the right way.

Triple silver medallist ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS is taken to go one better. Glowchester and Maid In Chelsea look the main dangers.

17:25 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Lingfield winner SHAMARDIA made another bold bid when beaten less than a length at the same track last time, and the Shamardal filly looks worth another chance off her current mark on that evidence. Banana ran into plenty of trouble over 5f here a week ago but has a shout on her placed efforts over today's distance before that, while Araifjan may improve on his second outing after a wind operation having slid down the weights since he was last successful on the all-weather.

SHAMARDIA is fancied to quickly resume winning ways on the back of her very good Lingfield second. Course-winner Coconut Bay appeals as the one to give Ismail Mohammed's filly most to do, with Lochaber and Banana also worthy of consideration too.

Ismail Mohammed has placed the improving SHAMARDIA well in recent weeks, and this appears to be another suitable opportunity.

18:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Master Of Combat is back for more having won a division of this race last year, but he hasn't been at his best lately and his stable could be in better form. War Chant carries a 5lb penalty for winning over C&D last time out and could prove popular, but a chance is taken on TASMANIAN LEGEND. Boasting two wins from four starts over C&D with one off a higher mark last March, he drops in class here after finishing fifth last time out and may take full advantage.

CAVALRY CALL arrives better than ever so is fancied to make light of a career-high mark and follow up his taking Yarmouth success. Winterfair is feared most on the back of his good Beverley third, although the likes of Hartswood, War Chant, Master of Combat and Tasmanian Legend all need factoring in too.

An open contest but the lightly raced WINTERFAIR may have more scope for improvement back on AW. War Chant is second choice.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Six runnings of this have seen five winning three-year-olds, so Buttercross Flyer could go close after finishing a good third last time out. Nights Over Egypt runs with a 5lb penalty after winning by a head over shorter here and he can go well, although KRISTAL KLEAR may prove too good for both of them. Only beaten a head in a better race at Haydock over this trip earlier in the month, a repeat of that performance may be enough for victory here.

KRISTAL KLEAR found only one too good at Haydock last time out and with that form having been really well advertised since she gets the vote. Recent course scorer Nights Over Egypt appeals as the one to give Stella Barclay's filly most to do ahead of Buttercross Flyer and Top Button.

The choice is KRISTAL KLEAR (nap), a Southwell winner who has since finished runner-up in a strong fillies' handicap at Haydock.

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SWINGING EDDIE has a good record here with three wins and five places, and after a Catterick win on the turf when last seen in July, he could be set for a winning return to the all-weather for a stable in good form. Lady Wingalong returns from a break and she can go well if she is back to her best, while both Frankie Valliance and Amaysmont will have their supporters, with Kevin Frost's gelding the suggestion for third place.

A tight-knit handicap in which marginal preference is for course-winner AMAYSMONT who should strip fitter for his recent Southwell fourth after a break and edges the vote. Swinging Eddie is always to be feared round here and is next on the list ahead of Carvalhal and Lady Wingalong.

This can go to AMAYSMONT who won twice at Chelmsford earlier in the season and shaped with plenty of promise after a break last time.

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having finished a close-up second over track and trip earlier this month, ACES WILD looks ready to regain the winning thread. Adrian Wintle's charge is only 2lb higher in the ratings and he shades the verdict over fellow in-form rival Ecclesiastical. The latter arrives on the back of a solid third at Ayr and, reverting to the all-weather, he's unlikely to be far away racing off an unchanged mark. Gustav Graves is also worth a second look on his return to action.

ECCLESIASTICAL was successful here off a 1 lb higher mark last November and his turn appears to be again near judged on a recent near miss at Ayr where he was beaten just ½-length into third, despite failing to fully settle. Gustav Graves has slipped to an attractive mark, too, and he is feared most ahead of the in-form Aces Wild. The Michael Dods-trained duo Darlo Pride and Nelson Gay are also worthy of consideration.

Off an attractive mark back here, NELSON GAY is preferred. Aces Wild, who has solid claims, is second choice.

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f  Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PYSANKA supplemented his creditable reappearance second at Windsor earlier in September with a ready victory over today's C&D nine days ago. A 3lb rise looks on the lenient side for Mark Loughnane's gelding and a double rates a strong possibility. Dubawi Time should appreciate a return to the all-weather and he may leave his distant third at Epsom last time out behind. The three-year-old is feared most, ahead of Arenas Del Tiempo.

The testing conditions were against DUBAWI TIME at Epsom last time and he could prove a tough nut to crack back on the all-weather off a 2 lb lower mark. Arenas del Tiempo's first run on turf for 10 months was a good one at Lingfield where he found just one too good. He remains on a workable mark and is next on the list ahead of Pysanka.

Four-time C&D winner PYSANKA looks the safest option with a 3lb rise for his latest success looking far from excessive.

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HARBOUR VISION found only a progressive rival too strong when headed in the closing stages over this track and trip recently. Although the veteran hasn't proved the most consistent of late, he could be worth chancing in his current mood, particularly off the same rating. Inspiring Speeches did little wrong when a close-up second at Beverley six days ago and, despite having something to prove on the all-weather, another good account is forecast. Bungle Bay looks best of the remainder.

INSPIRING SPEECHES was clear of the remainder when runner-up here at Beverley last time and, with a performance of similar merit, he should have enough to go one better in a thin race. Harbour Vision is a likely player and Nancy Rose is respected.

Provided the widest draw proves no hindrance, INSPIRING SPEECHES appears capable of opening his account.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
