LTO Selection:

14:25 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

With solid form thin on the ground, this could be a good opportunity for MUSTERION to gain a breakthrough success. John Butler's filly should appreciate the stiffer test compared to the 7f at Kempton last time and she may take some stopping. She's A Mirage returns to this sphere after finishing a respectable fourth in classified stakes company at Ffos Las a fortnight ago. The daughter of Kodiac is feared most, ahead of Louaizeh.

It's probably worth giving another chance to MYSTERIOUS MAESTRO, who has proved rather disappointing the last twice but a reproduction of his effort peak effort at Lingfield in June would put him firmly in the picture. Zakram hasn't made much of an impact on turf of late but may fare better now returned to the all-weather and he is feared most ahead of Musterion and She's A Mirage.

This looks tricky but MUSTERION gets the vote ahead of She's A Mirage and The Pug.

LTO Selection:

15:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There were plenty of positives to be taken from BIBENDUM's debut third over 5f at Yarmouth last month and the Showcasing colt may find enough improvement going up in distance to gain a breakthrough success. Zipster should have learned plenty when finishing fifth on debut at Chelmsford and could emerge as the chief threat to the selection, ahead of Stanley Spencer.

BIBENDUM fetched €260,000 when resold this year and shaped with promise when third in a 5.2f Yarmouth maiden last month. He will be more street-wise this time and, with this stiffer test likely to be in his favour, the Showcasing colt is taken to strike. Zipster also made an encouraging start to his career and is next on the list ahead of Stanley Spencer and likely-looking newcomer State of Chaos.

This looks a tight contest but the Crisfords' ZIPSTER gets the vote ahead of Bibendum and Salamanca Lad.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Wolverhampton Claimer (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SNAZZY JAZZY has failed to make a significant impact in competitive handicaps of late, but the eight-year-old rates as the one to beat now pitched into claiming company. Shallow Hal has been operating on the turf recently but shouldn't be underestimated given his previous performances on the all-weather at the turn of the year. Karl Burke's charge shouldn't be far away, with Granny B making most appeal of the remainder.

SHALLOW HAL wasn't at his best when fifth at Nottingham recently but holds major claims at these weights so looks the way to go. Granny B could emerge as the chief threat on her first go on tapeta with course-winner Doctor Mozart another who is firmly in the picture.

This looks a decent opportunity for the useful SNAZZY JAZZY, who has leading claims on the figures. Shallow Hal is the danger.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GISELLES IZZY has thrived on being kept busy and she may be able to extend her run of good form by posting another personal best. The Iain Jardine-trained filly was a comfortable winner over 6f on her penultimate start and only went down by a neck when attempting to follow up off this mark last time. The return to 7f creates hope for the likes of Lily In The Jungle and Carlton And Co if stamina becomes an issue for the selection.

A case can be made for a few of these but the most persuasive one is for LILY IN THE JUNGLE who arrives at the top of her game and can add to her Ripon spring success having been just touched off at Lingfield last time out. Newcastle-victor Carlton And Co and handicap-debutante Evenstar merit plenty of respect too along with Capuchinero and Cloud Cover.

The vote goes to CARLTON AND CO (nap), who won at Newcastle 11 days ago and remains well treated on her best form.

16:40 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Irish raider Asgard's Captain improved when dead-heating over 1m at Ripon in June and, were it not for a wide draw, he would have a live chance of following up off just 3lb higher. Nevertheless, GLORY CALL has fared much better with his allotted starting position and looks worth chancing on his first attempt over this trip. The Ollie Pears-trained gelding showed tenacity when winning over 6f here on his penultimate start and a sterner test can prompt further progression. Crown Bridges is also noted.

The drop to 7f isn't sure to suit ASGARD'S CAPTAIN but he forced a dead-heat with a thriving rival at Ripon when last seen in June and there are more races to be won from this lowly mark. Glory Call is a solid rival, with Exquisite Beauty open to progress now handicapping.

Ollie Pears' gelding GLORY CALL has a good attitude and is open to improvement now upped to 7f. Asgard's Captain is next best.

17:10 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Stoney Lane is shortlisted after winning over C&D 10 days ago and, while he is respected in a race of this nature, he has struggled with consistency and has never won back-to-back races before now. The same applies to He's Our Star, who is respected but might find this tougher than the similar event he landed at Brighton recently. With that in mind, BERNIE THE BEAR gets the nod given he has improved since fitted with headgear and has posted several respectable efforts over this trip recently.

BERNIE THE BEAR has still to get his head in front but rates just about the pick of these weights and can go one better than his recent good Ayr second. Stoney Lane rates a major danger though on the back of his C&D victory, with in-form pair He's Our Star and Doomsday firmly in the picture too.

The vote goes to BERNIE THE BEAR, who ran another good race when second behind a major improver at Ayr last week.
