10th (11) ![]() Change Of Fortune |
33/1(-32%) | (11) Change Of Fortune 33/1, Down the field in a handicap over 8f at Bath most recent where went too fast; usually consistent; up in trip; not proven on AW; outside claims off much reduced mark Regressive maiden who's raced mainly on turf; returns from six months off. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (7) ![]() Mudlahhim |
25/1(-25%) | (7) Mudlahhim 25/1, Seemed to be on stiff mark down the field in a handicap over 7f here most recent; inconsistent prior; cheekpieces first time; goes well here; others preferred Had his moments at the stalls and often pulls hard, so there are plenty of risks involved. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (8) ![]() Senseofentitlement |
125/1(-25%) | (8) Senseofentitlement 125/1, Appeared not to stay comfortably held in a handicap over 10f at Chelmsford last time; should come on for the run; generally out of form; down in trip; more needed Couple of absences since springing a surprise over C&D in 2023; can't be recommended. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
The booking of Simon Walker is often a good indicator in these types of contests and, with that in mind, WYVERN gets the nod. Patrick Morris' charge has found some form in recent weeks and off 2lb below his last winning mark, a fifth career success could be imminent. Al Suil Eile was a shade unfortunate at Beverley on Thursday but even so he's been more effective on an artificial surface and is respected. Mr Trick is another to consider.
Annalee Lass's record over C&D entitles her to some respect, but MASTEROFGREYGOOSE will find this easier than last time.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) ![]() Luckie Lucas |
200/1(-300%) | (4) Luckie Lucas 200/1, Well beaten in a maiden over 6f at Nottingham only start when green and outpaced; up in trip; all to do 80-1, always behind and tailed off on recent debut at Nottingham. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Not a particularly daunting standard to aim at and the vote goes to GORDON NORSE. The gelded son of Kodi Bear hit the frame over C&D on his racecourse bow in October and although he's not been seen since, natural improvement is likely to suffice. Captain Parma has shown ability on both of his starts to date, while 52,000gns purchase Dream Angel warrants close inspection ahead of her debut.
Jack Jones has been in excellent form and GORDON NORSE earns the vote having been a promising third over C&D on his sole run.

2nd (9) ![]() Invincible Storm |
33/1(+34%) | (9) Invincible Storm 33/1, Raced freely down the field in a maiden at Kempton most recent; not proven trip; needs to improve to defy even this basement mark Been gelded and undergone wind surgery; the market will guide back from six months off. |

16/1(-14%) | (1) Freedom Bay 16/1, Beaten 9 1/2l in a novice over 8f at Kempton last time; not proven trip; yet to prove up to this mark; probably best watched Well held in three runs at 100-1+ (6f-1m); would want to see support on handicap debut. |

9th (8) ![]() Tiana Rose |
66/1(-200%) | (8) Tiana Rose 66/1, Appeared not to stay well beaten in a handicap over 8f at Yarmouth latest; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; needs to improve Tried in first-time cheekpieces after another poor effort on turf last week. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
I FOLLOW RIVERS wasn't able to justify favouritism when behind Hype Merchant (second) on his reappearance at Chelmsford recently. It was still a pleasing return to action, though, and he's expected to reverse that form with the run under his belt. Sharon Curly kept on well for fourth over 6f at Catterick last time out and this extra furlong may well spark further improvement.
Kilteel will be happier back down in trip minus the hood, but I FOLLOW RIVERS is open to greater improvement and is preferred

1st (4) ![]() Crepe Suzette |
7/4(-17%) | (4) Crepe Suzette 7/4, Quality type and good effort from wide draw over inadequate trip when second beaten a head in a maiden here final start at 2yo; step-up in trip will suit and likely improver; go close Daughter of the yard's Group 1 winner Sultanina; sets the standard on her course second. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) ![]() Mythical Bird |
7/4(+50%) | (7) Mythical Bird 7/4, Progressed at 2yo and very tidy effort second beaten 1 1/2l in a good novice over 8f at Chelmsford final start; trainer in form; first time on Tapeta and up in trip, but the one to beat Better with each run last autumn (7f-1m); may have more to offer; helps set the standard. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (8) ![]() True Colors |
4/1(-14%) | (8) True Colors 4/1, Nice type, not knocked about once held when third beaten 3/4l in a novice over 8f at Southwell on debut; up in trip; should improve and go well Should be suited by the stiffer test but debut effort has been rather let down since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) ![]() Liberate |
12/1(+0%) | (6) Liberate 12/1, Well beaten when outpaced in a maiden over 7f at Newbury only start; up in trip; plenty more needed, but open to improvement Needs to improve a lot on last autumn's 7f debut, when easy to back and well beaten. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (1) ![]() Bintnouf |
10/1(+0%) | (1) Bintnouf 10/1, 250,000gns Justify filly; half-sister to Iseult Of Ireland, smart at 9f; dam very useful at 11f; yard in good form; interesting 250,000gns yearling who's out of a sister to Found and Magical Dream; interesting newcomer. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) ![]() Golden Samba |
150/1(-500%) | (5) Golden Samba 150/1, Nathaniel filly; dam useful at 12f, half-sister to good middle-distance/stayer Ocean Wind; may need experience First foal of a fair maiden; has plenty of stamina on both sides of her pedigree. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) ![]() Come On Ruby |
80/1(-400%) | (3) Come On Ruby 80/1, 3,000gns Ribchester filly; half-sister to Cubana Habana, very useful at 8f; yard in good form, but looks tough ask on debut May be one for handicaps further down the line but the market will reveal all. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.
Crepe Suzette will have her supporters having gone close over a slightly shorter trip here when last in action. She has sound claims, but MYTHICAL BIRD looks to have the stronger form. She found only one too good at Chelmsford in October and, given the winner went on to finish a good fourth in Listed company, Hughie Morrison's filly gets the vote. True Colors may prove best of the rest.
The impeccably bred Bintnouf is an interesting newcomer. CREPE SUZETTE helps set the standard she's gunning for.

3rd (4) ![]() Street Life |
17/2(-155%) | (4) Street Life 17/2, Back to form beaten 1 1/4l off 50 here last time; that form franked emphatically; well treated on old form; the one to beat if building on latest C&D winner in October; clear best effort this year when second here last time. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (9) ![]() Red Walls |
12/1(+52%) | (9) Red Walls 12/1, Below par beaten 5l in a handicap over 7f here last time; generally out of form; down in trip; basement mark not enough to recommend Last five wins over 6f, the most recent in January; inconsistent since. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (5) ![]() War Zone |
5/1(+9%) | (5) War Zone 5/1, Weak in the market beaten 2 1/2l off 51 here last time; consistent; each way shout in tight contest Dual winner at Chelmsford; respectable fourth over C&D most recently. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) ![]() Elliott |
7/2(+46%) | (3) Elliott 7/2, Beaten 7l in a handicap over 6f at Dundalk last time where went too fast; usually consistent; down in trip; returning from a break Only attempt over C&D resulted in sole win; first run since rejoining Rebecca Menzies. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
Colors Of Freedom made every yard when scoring here in October, while Street Life attempted to make all when runner-up at the track last month. That pair should ensure a good pace and could set the race up nicely for HENERY HAWK. Linda Perratt's sprinter returns to the Tapeta with every chance, having placed off higher marks over the minimum trip at Newcastle on a couple of occasions in March.
Attractively handicapped ELLIOTT (nap) has rejoined Rebecca Menzies and looks interesting returned to this C&D.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) ![]() Al Barez |
10/3(+67%) | (2) Al Barez 10/3, Probably needed race beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Kempton last time where undone by poor draw; trainer in form; back below last winning mark; in the mix Dual AW winner in this month last year but needs to get back in the groove. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) ![]() Nazron |
13/2(+28%) | (3) Nazron 13/2, Raced freely beaten 5l in a handicap over 5f at Pontefract last time; should come on for that run; generally out of form; second run after wind op; not proven trip; opposed Down the field on first two stable starts but recent Pontefract sixth was more encouraging. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) ![]() Aberama Gold |
10/3(-33%) | (4) Aberama Gold 10/3, Ran to form beaten 3/4l off 83 at Ripon last time; should come on for that; well treated on old form; consistent; contender Not the force of old but ran well on recent reappearance (turf) and is suited by this C&D. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) ![]() Azure Angel |
6/4(+40%) | (1) Azure Angel 6/4, Probably outclassed down the field in Golden Rose Stakes (Listed) at Newcastle most recent; in good form prior; yard going well; big player back from break Four-time AW winner for Roger Varian; makes stable debut after 163-day absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) ![]() Phoenix Beach |
22/1(-57%) | (6) Phoenix Beach 22/1, Scored by 3/4l off 69 over 5f here penultimate start; fifth beaten 7l off 73 last time where ground too fast; up in trip; not out of it but needs more Triple 5f course winner in recent weeks; should give another good account over this trip. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (5) ![]() Lion's House |
16/1(-14%) | (5) Lion's House 16/1, Wide trip down the field in a handicap at Chelmsford most recent where wen too fast; bit to find off stiff looking mark Low-mileage 4yo; sold out of Roger Varian's after disappointing run in October. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.
Having recently shown that he is still in good heart when second on his reappearance at Ripon, ABERAMA GOLD makes grand appeal reverting to Tapeta. A 1lb rise in the ratings looks more than fair and compensation could be on the cards. Phoenix Beach's winning run came to an end at Bath eight days ago, but better is expected on this switch to the all-weather, while Nazron should be noted too.
A chance is taken on NAZRON, who hinted at a possible return to form in a Class 2 turf race this month and has slipped to a good mark.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.
SYNERGISM left his heavy defeats in novice company behind when landing a gamble over an extended 1m1f here seven days ago. The son of Soldier Hollow is sure to prove a warm order stepping up further in trip and he could make light work of a 6lb penalty. Battle Stride is a potential fly in the ointment on his handicap bow and market support would be interesting. Himself is the pick of the remainder.
It's hard to oppose SYNERGISM, an archetypal Prescott horse who displayed huge improvement when upped in trip for his handicap debut.
Ths is the racecard key.
