16:26 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Kitaro Kich wasn't winning out of turn over C&D last week and is expected to go well again. However, a 5lb penalty makes life tougher and on 5lb worse terms, he isn't guaranteed to confirm that form with runner-up PESSOA, who has been knocking hard on the door of late. It will be interesting to see how Marioento fares in the betting now he swaps novice company for handicaps.

A good opportunity for PESSOA, who has gained all four of his career wins at this course and can deservedly add to that having found just one too good on each of his last two starts. He was beaten 1½ lengths by Kitaro Kich last time and is weighed to reverse those placings, now 5 lb better off with that rival. Kitaro Kich should give a good account, though, and is clear second choice ahead of My Brother Mike.

Kitaro Kich and the unexposed Marioento are of interest but there could be a bigger effort forthcoming from I CAN'T BELIEVE.

17:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 8.5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Going back up to a mile really helped GAIETY MUSICAL when she scored at Kempton recently and there could be more to come. Her supporters will be pleased to see that Richard Kingscote keeps the ride and she can confirm form with Top Of The Class (second), with this extra half a furlong potentially a source of further improvement. Keep an eye on Celebrating Ethel too.

TOP OF THE CLASS wasn't ideally placed when chasing home Gaiety Musical earlier this month and with a 2 lb pull at the weights, Mark Loughnane's mare may be able to reverse the form. Celebrating Ethel should run well again having only gone up 1 lb for finishing second here two weeks ago.

Top Of The Class is 2lb better off with GAIETY MUSICAL today but the result may be the same as at Kempton 12 days ago.

17:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The eye is immediately drawn to DANCING COLOURS, who represents the powerhouse Charlie Appleby yard and she improved from her first to second run when taking the silver medal at Kempton last month. Entitled to have progressed again since, she gets the nod ahead of Chelmsford debut fifth Dance In The Storm, a potential improver for another top yard. Phrygia makes the most appeal of the remainder.

DANCE IN THE STORM made a very pleasing start to her career, in a race that had some substance, and she lose her maiden tag today. Dancing Colours is progressive and should go close again, while Phrygia is open to improvement having showed plenty to work with on debut.

Dancing Colours still has more to offer but DANCE IN THE STORM is preferred after her promising Chelmsford debut in November

18:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GALILEO GLASS pulled hard when sporting first-time blinkers and fading into sixth over this trip at Chelmsford on his first start for the Darryll Holland stable. If the six-year-old can settle better off a 3lb lower mark, then he could record his second course-and-distance victory. Bossy Parker ran below par when fourth over track and trip last time, but he is a player based on his second here prior to that display. Of the remainder, Plumette makes the most appeal after her third over this C&D.

PLUMETTE is the only one to arrive on the back of a solid effort, so she's taken to go two better than when third over C&D recently. Bossy Parker is expected to bounce back and is feared most, while Galileo Glass would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour.

This looks a good opportunity for BOSSY PARKER (nap) to record a third C&D win. Galileo Glass may provide the stiffest resistance.

18:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

More was expected of RAVENGLASS when only managing fifth over track and trip earlier in the month, but he is 1lb lower now and has Cam Hardie back on board. The six-year-old made the frame in two starts at this venue prior to that most recent effort and a reproduction of either of those displays might be good enough here. Kranjcar wasn't beaten far into sixth over 6f at Newcastle last Tuesday and might appreciate this step back up in trip off an unchanged mark. Big Narstie isn't out of it either.

There might not be much pace on here, and the emphasis on speed might suit lightly-raced KRANJCAR more than it does Ravenglass, who needs a truly run 7 furlongs to be seen to best effect. Sam's Hope could be gearing up for a better effort from her falling handicap mark.

Several possibles despite the small field. Returning to 7f could suit SAM'S HOPE and she's marginally preferred to Ravenglass.

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

City Cyclone completed a course double on his latest outing and only has a 4lb higher mark to contend with, but this drop in trip might open the door for ROYAL MUSKETEER. Steph Hollinshead's seven-year-old competes off 4lb higher than his C&D success earlier in the month, but that is unlikely to prevent him from going in again. Last-time-out Newcastle scorer Jimmy Knocker is another to watch out for.

CITY CYCLONE was well backed to land a brace here, most recently when racing with plenty of zest and scoring with something to spare over 7f. The drop back to 6f shouldn't pose a problem and he should make a bold bid for the hat-trick today. The consistent Em Jay Kay should give another good account, while Jimmy Knocker earns plenty of respect, with the form of his recent win having been franked.

With the form of his Newcastle win having been handsomely advertised since, the unexposed JIMMY KNOCKER is taken to follow up.

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HAWA JUMEIRAH benefited from his return at Kempton when scoring over C&D last Monday, with Starfighter back in third on that occasion. The four-year-old was making his second appearance on the all-weather and remains with the scope for a fair amount of improvement under a 5lb penalty. The aforementioned Starfighter is likely to enter calculations, while first-time cheekpieces and stepping up in distance looks an interesting move for Tancredi.

HAWA JUMEIRAH found improvement upped in trip when scoring over C&D a week ago and a penalty might not be enough to stop him following up at the possible expense of Starfighter, who was a place behind him last time. MIrabello Bay is not dismissed.

This can go to the lightly raced 4yo HAWA JUMEIRAH, who got off the mark with a comfortable success over C&D last Monday.

20:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DISQUIETUDE has appreciated the switch to classified company on her last couple of starts, with placed efforts here and at Kempton. The four-year-old drops back in trip which looks to be the right move and the daughter of Tamayuz gets the vote to shed the maiden tag. Lhebayeb has shown some competitive handicap form in recent months and is capable of being in the mix. Others to note are National Health and Advindi.

LHEBAYEB has a good chance on these terms if building on her last run. Back From Dubai offered something to work on starting out for this yard at Southwell 2 weeks ago and is next best ahead of Disquietude.

The most appealing contenders are DISQUIETUDE and National Health who both have respectable recent C&D form at this level.

20:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SPARTAN TIMES wasn't disgraced in finishing fifth on handicap debut over C&D a fortnight ago and, off a 1lb lower mark, the four-year-old appears to have been found an excellent opportunity to gain a first career success. Northstead Gardens has been running consistently well in recent months and looks to be a leading threat. Pop Noodle didn't have much luck at the start here earlier in the month and may be worth another chance.

NORTHSTEAD GARDENS has been competitive in better races than this so can make a winning start for a yard that is in decent form. The unexposed Spartan Times took a big step forward when fifth on her handicap bow over C&D 2 weeks ago and is feared most ahead of Enzos Angel, who is back over a more suitable trip.

Unexposed SPARTAN TIMES can build on his latest effort and emulate his dam by winning at this venue. Pop Noodle is second pick.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
