17:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Having scored a shade cosily at Lingfield 10 days ago, a 2lb rise may prove to be on the lenient side for FURTHER MEASURE. Warren Fentiman claims a handy 5lb and a quickfire double could be on the horizon. Daaris has hit the frame on both outings since his C&D victory in early December and another bold bid is forecast. Fellow in-form rival Grand Duchess Olga is also noted.

CARLTON has been transformed by the switch to James Owen and assuming he's allowed to take his chance on the back of Saturday's success, the 5-timer may well be on the cards. Mr Zippi has a bigger performance in him on the level so he's second choice, ahead of Daaris.

This can go to CARLTON, who is four out of four over 1m6f at Chelmsford since joining James Owen, the latest win coming on Saturday.

18:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

APACHE STAR caught the eye when denied a clear run on his never-nearer third over C&D recently. Mark Loughnane's charge makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged rating and compensation may beckon. Dual track scorer My Genghis has offered enough on his latest appearances at this venue to suggest that he can have a say in proceedings as well, while Papa Don't Preach warrants a second look racing off his last winning mark.

MAHARAJAS EXPRESS shaped as though still in form over 6f here on Saturday and with the return to the 5f in his favour, he can get it right this time. Buraback caught the eye over C&D a week ago so is feared most, ahead of My Genghis.

Having shaped better when fourth over C&D last week, BURABACK is selected to take advantage of his current good mark.

18:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

16-race maiden Rosenpur has filled the runner-up berth on his last four outings and, dropping in distance, he may have to play second fiddle once more. REBEL STAR arrives on the back of a solid third over today's trip at Southwell and Robert Cowell's filly is slightly more compelling. Francisco boasted some fair form in 2023 and market support on his return from a 433-day layoff would be interesting.

REBEL STAR receives 5 lb from her rivals and in the hope she can cast aside a lesser run at Southwell a month ago, this looks a good opportunity for her. Rosenpur and Francisco are the viable threats.

A chance is taken on FRANCISCO, who showed promise in two 7f events for Andrew Balding in 2023 but has been absent since.

19:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

REBEL PATH made all to defeat a well-handicapped rival under Olivia Haines at Chelmsford last time out and, should the budding apprentice adopt similar tactics, he might be tough to peg back. A 4lb rise will undoubtedly make things tougher and Havana Sky, whose winning run came to an end at Lingfield earlier this month, appeals as the main threat. Many A Star can chase the pair home.

A few with chances but REBEL PATH scored with something in hand at Chelmsford City last time out so looks the way to go. The handily-weighted Kitaab is feared most after a break with Many A Star and Bulldog Drummond also worthy of consideration.

Although on a career-high mark, HAVANA SKY is taken to win again now back at 6f. Rebel Path and Many A Star can also run well.

19:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A chance can be taken on PROFESSOR TICKLE, who was forced to race wider than ideal when attempting to make all over C&D last Monday. The son of Profitable is more favourably drawn on this occasion and, off an unchanged mark, he gets the nod to come home in front. Nelson Gay has been knocking on the door recently he ought to be on the premises once again, along with Tyke.

Course-winner LIHOU should be all the better for a recent run at Lingfield after a break and is fancied to capitalise on a lenient mark. In-form C&D winner Nelson Gay rates a big threat though, with Prince Of Bel Lir and Professor Tickle not discounted either in an open sprint.

This can go to PROFESSOR TICKLE (nap), who should find things easier from a lower draw this time. Nelson Gay is second choice.

20:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

JUST RITA seems to be getting the hang of things since joining the David Loughnane stable, and she must hold every chance if building on a strong runner-up effort at Southwell last time out. The four-year-old gets the vote ahead of the capable Amaysmont, and River Wharfe, who ran well over 1m at Lingfield on his penultimate start. Al Suil Eile and Global Warning are capable of being in the shake-up too.

A tight-knit sprint in which KALGANOV is taken to build on his tendery-handled Newcastle eighth last time out and get back to winning ways from a handy mark. C&D scorer A Pint Of Bear is another weighted to go well and heads the list of dangers, although Just Rita, Global Warning and Triggered all need factoring in too.

Others have better claims on recent form but SURPRISE PICTURE could well stage a revival back in Class 6. Kalganov is second pick.

20:30 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9.5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Narrowly denied at Lingfield last time out when slightly up in distance, FOREVER PROUD should appreciate a return to this track having scored over a similar trip here on her previous two starts. James Owen's charge may have too much for Jumeira Vision, who got up late in the day to win over C&D last time out. Strategic Fortune is another to take seriously.

FOREVER PROUD is thriving under the expert tutelage of James Owen and fancied to quickly resume winning ways on the back of her excellent recent Lingfield second. Strategic Fortune didn't enjoy the rub of the green when fourth over C&D last time and can have a say, while Port Noir, Green Power and Jumeira Vision all enter calculations too in this competitive contest.

This can go to FOREVER PROUD who is standing up well to a busy spell and has won his last two starts at Wolverhampton.
